On today's P1 Podcast, Eddie tells us about he saved Thor from some embarrassment in a big meeting we had yesterday but didn't get any thanks for it

don't think he understands the magnitude of what was happening,
and I, as a friend, felt the need to step
in and help the guy out. Yeah, I don't know.

saved Thor in a big corporate meeting yesterday. We ain't

mandatory meeting call yesterday, but it was one of the
ones that we all love, which is in person optional.
So it was you could call in and zoom in,
so either way it was fine. And so you get

an option to zoom in. Dude, we're gonna take that time.
It really is super nice. Like, if I had to
stay around, stick around for a mandatory meeting, that's tough.
It's tough. And so when you hear zoom optional, you're
like done obviously. Now that being said, I was still
here at the meeting time, and I went, well, I'm not,

you know, technically leaving, so maybe I'll just make an
appearance in the meeting in person. And because you guys
were all gone, and I was like, I was here,
you were hearing, but you didn't go into the room.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah, I thought you knew that. I thought.

I I had no idea into the room.

I was in the office with my earbuds on, with
the call on my phone.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
I'm just learning in thee That's crazy. Why did you
do that?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Because I had a DMV appointment that I was very
nervous about. Never made a DMV appointment before, so I
was very nervous nervous. I was nervous that I was
like gonna miss it or if I was literally because
I like, you know how the DMB is supposed to
be really mean, like, so I thought, if I walk
in like a minute late, they're gonna be like, sorry,
you missed your appointment. So I didn't know how long

the meeting was gonna go. And so I said, I'll
just do it on my phone in the office. So
I can jump in my car dip out to the
DMV if I need to.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
I've never met someone so scared of the fucking DMF.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Dude.

I stood in line because you can stand in the
line online, and drove there. I was fifteen minutes late
after my appointment called and I just stood by the window.
They called, one person left. I said, hey, I just
missed it. I need to get in here, and she went,
all right, give me your info.

Like what the fuck are you so scared? They don't
care about humans.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
Yeah, they're not going to arrest you again, Like what
are you talking about?
Speaker 3 (02:57):
Like, I haven't been to the DMV. I think since
I like got my license, or maybe once after that,
Like honestly, no, maybe I guess one time after that.
But it was just to get a new picture, like
that was it. I was like in and out and
so I don't know. I was scared. And then you know,
the lady was a little aggressive.

And the dip out. You didn't want to do that
in person, right, Well.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Because I knew this was going to be no well,
I knew this was going to be a big call
with big wigs on it, and the last thing I
wanted them to see me sneaking out early, you know,
in the back of the room. So I'm just like,
if I'm on the call in the office, I'm good.

So the way the camera is set up, you know,
if you zoom, it's on you, and then if you're
in a conference room, it's on the whole room, and
so it's not close up, so you can't really even
see who's in there, and you can either. Yeah, it's
not great, and so you would have probably been fine,
but I just I was unaware that you were doing
it from the other room there, which is I was

literally around. I would have called you out just so
just so you know, I know. But I was like, guys,
you know that skuy is really right around the corner
and she's not in here. I don't know. Sorry, guys,
we don't need to do that. So, yeah, we get
this big meeting and Emily had an appointment she had
to go to, so she was zooming in thor you
he had something yesterday, right, I had a client meeting

at noon. But you didn't want to dip out?

No, I didn't. I had to go home quickly, let
my dogs out?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Who let the dogs out? I did?
Speaker 2 (04:26):
I literally went home let the dogs out and then
went to the client meeting.

Yeah, and so so he was gone, and so I
was like, well, I guess I'll be the one who
kind of shows his face for the show whatever. I'll
get in there. I didn't know if Jamie was going
to be in there or not. And was he I
don't remember. Yeah, no, yeah, you were to see Yeah,
that's right right. I thought it was the table leg No, no,

that's Jamie Jamie. And so yeah, we were in there.
And so it was a big meeting, you know, everything
was going on, and as as you know, these big
wigs for LA are in the meeting, you know, so
you have like four or five cameras individually, and then
everybody else is on the side. I think it's like
who moves in the camera or if you speak, you're

going to be put in the main spot. I think
that's how zoom works. Yes, and so you had the
main people on there, the main big wigs in there,
and then I look up and I go, oh shit,
I don't know why this guy Thor had his camera
on for the meeting. Everybody else was pretty much off
on Yes, I figured everybody would be off, but Thoor

so I look up and I see the two main
big wigs up there, and Thor.

Shut up because he's on and he's like moving.

He's driving like this fucking psycho turns his camera on
and so it's the angle of him literally driving and
weirdly like well, glance at the camera and then just
I'm like, whoa, what is this guy doing? Really? So yeah,
so I look up and I see Thor's big old
head there with the two people, and I'm like, oh fuck,

Like this is crazy because all of us in the conference.

Room, I know I'm on camera, We're.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
All looking at him, and it's like corporate Thor, you know,
you know, it's a corporate Thor up there with the
two big wigs, Like is he running the meeting? Like
what's going on? And everybody else is all looking at
that on screen, and I went, oh, ship, that's all
I would see. That's all I would see. That's all

and what you're seeing him driving and just it was
a scene and I go, oh god, this is not good.

So I knew I was on camera, so that the
nose picking, I wouldn't have done that because I know
my camera.

But the fact that you went camera was there what.

The last time we had a big meeting like this.
Our head boss Doreen said, everyone turned your car cameras on.
Turn your cameras on, and she said that, and from
that moment on, I felt like, if you're in a
meeting with big bosses, you have to have your cameraon,
like you have to because they want to see who's there.
So I just didn't even think it was an option

You didn't see that everybody else had their camera.

I thought, I thought the people that had their cameras
off are fucked.

I thought, you have your camera because you made fun

To me, this meeting was big enough with our head boss,
our second in command and people from LA, you gotta
have a camera on, like this is a big deal.

of the bosses in LA was like, who's e Griffiths.

Everybody was camera off. The only guy Cameron and he's
prominent right there.

So right there, Well, two things go through my mind
when I get this text from Eddy, because Eddie's texting.

So I'm in the back of the room. I'm looking
up and I'm like, this is fucking bad. What is
this guy? I would feel uncomfortable. I don't want I
don't want you to be the main guy.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
I'm not doing.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
I'm just in the car. Was like, oh, this is
this is bad.

I feel like the big wigs are like.

Wow, look we'll go get her, get her camera on.
Probably like look at who's this.

he would black out somebody like totally if somebody like

was off, Like I quadruple checked to make sure my
MIC's off.

I was just this is not happening. Yeah good. So yes,
I'm in the back of the room and I go,
I gotta let him know, like nobody else is going
camera on, like he's got to know. And so I
did text him.

So she texted me camera on question Mark. We were
on the biggest screen in here, So I don't see
that for you know, a minute or two because I'm
driving and then I see and then I say, I
had notifications, so I click on it, and I went,
oh because because in my eyes, in my eyes, because
a couple other people have their cameras on, like the

people in LA so I thought maybe it was just
like the three of them. And then you had to
flip through to see, Yeah, exactly.

You were board.

So I was the main board guy. So I mean,
you're like, oh, ship and need to turn this camera off.
But but then again I'm like, well, at least they
saw me. They know I was there side of your
head and the chip.

Yeah, it was a lot, right, Yeah, it was a lot,
I'm telling you, man like because it's people with their
offices in the background. And then you got thor like
he's holding his phone at his knees, you could see
up his nose. Well, it was just a wild, wild
scene and this can't this can't be good.

So I feel like I turned once I turned it off,
did I get off you?
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Yeah, you're gone. And then at least they saw me.

That's nice of you to give the heads up, because honestly,
I would have just sat in that conference room so uncomfortable.

So I was driving and I'd rather not text, and

So I get off the freeway, get into my house,
pull in, and somebody says something in the meaning that
I didn't like. So I immediately texted Eddie about it.
That was that was my thought, that was my thoughts
