Speaker 1 (00:00):
So we have a pretty big vacation coming up. Our
big summer vacation is coming up. And this year Thor
is gonna be getting together with his family. Now how's
that gonna go? Because not only are they going on
a trip together, they're all gonna be staying together in
one big house. And I guess Thor's parents got a

(00:23):
lot of questions.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
We ain't done yet.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
It's time for the one podcast.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Yet, completely uncensored and unacting filtered except for that part
the party.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
The show's after show starts. Now.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Yeah, it's kind of interesting. The reason why we're taking
this particular time off is because Thor uh was, you know,
planning this trip with his dad because of his birthday
and all this stuff, and so it has evolved into
what you are actually going to be doing now right?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Yeah, So yeah, with my dad's seventieth birth like he
was saying, And initially my dad wanted to go.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
To Turks and Caicos because he's very big on snorkling.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
I loves Turks and Caicos.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah, it's a big Turks and Caicos.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Aruba and the Bahamas are East Coasters Florida, I mean
East Coast is Hawaii. Sorry, if you're on the East coast,
that's where you go.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
From the West coast, you go to Hawaii and like
Cabo and stuff here. Yes, exactly, cantcuon Cabo's out here.
So that's where they go. That's the only places they go.
If you're from New York, you go to Florida and
you go to those places I just mentioned. That's it.
They never go anywhere else. So it's so odd.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
So and we finally talked to my dad down because
it was insanely expensive.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
And usually I don't think my parents understand.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Usually when when the parents decide we want all the
kids and to get together and all the grandkids to
get together, they pay for it.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
It's because it's their thing. My parents aren't doing that.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Well, yeah, you don't have Emily's mom exactly, because if it's.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Mom, everyone's everything taking care exactly. You're paid, yes, first
something for every I'm paying for everything.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Again, I think there's a mixture of people here, you know.
I mean, I don't know that that parents always pay
for it.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
But this is like they're so adamant about this, you
would think they would at least go, you know what
you guys buy the plane tickets and then will buy
will cover them like the hotel fees.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Playing the plane tickets.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Excuse me.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Be a big girl and pay for myself.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Your idea are.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So my dad, So we my brother in law is awesome,
and he thought of why don't we do Key West?
And like Key West seems fun because my parents were like,
why don't we just all go to the villages where
we live and we were all like, no, we're not
doing that for a week.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
That's and my mom's and my mom's whole thing is, well,
there's stuff to do here. They think like old people's
stuff to do is like a lot. It's like fun
for like people my age and my my nephews. It's
why their thoughts on things sorkling. My dad has to
go heard that. So Key West we decided on.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
We found a big resort in Key West and one
and on the resort there's a giant like uh villa
that we're going.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
To stay in the raw splitting.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Oh, so the whole family is going to be in
one villa, but it's on a resort.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
So it comes with a bunch of things.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
So as we're getting closer to it, my brother in
law he's kind of the one in charge of every organizing.
He's very organized, going on top of things, a little
too much like we got.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
Some time, keV.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
But thank god he married into your family, because could
you imagine you guys trying to come together and organize this.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
My mom just so my my parents aren't unorganized. They
just take forever to do something. Yeah, it's like yeah,
because they can't pull the trigger. So my mom will
grab a pen, grab a piece of paper and write
down flights and like and write down and talk to
travel agents.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
She says, what Sky does.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Rather than just booking it easily on Expedia, she writes
everything down and then goes over it for days rather
than just booking it.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
It's fucking wild. So so uh so we have there's
a at this villa.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
There's a butler, and the butler, and the butler will
go like shopping.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
For yeah, what families do.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Butler.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
The butler, Well, it's not like a butler that's gonna
wait on your hand and foot. It's like a butler
that will they call it a butler. But he's gonna
book your excursion. He's gonna if you're gonna have to say, hey,
there's there's they call Vaughn's publics out there. So you
go to your publics, which is right next to it,
and the guy will get all the stuff for us.
So Kevin hits us all up a couple of This

(04:49):
was a last week and this is the text threat
I got. Kevin texted everybody and said, the butler is
gonna call me in the afternoon. Does anyone have any requests?
So Kevin says.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Sorry.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Kevin says, I think it'd be easiest if we all
just ate breakfast there and then lunch of dinner we
went out.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
What do you guys think?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
My dad writes back, I can't do the ocean swim?

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Wait?

Speaker 4 (05:15):
What is that a name of a breakfast like an ocean?

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Maybe? Maybe?

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Yeah? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah? Is that his request?

Speaker 2 (05:25):
What the I'm so confused? What is that?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
First of all, what I can't do.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
The ocean swim?

Speaker 4 (05:46):
About breakfast?

Speaker 1 (05:47):
About public?

Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yeah, we all act like that never happened.

Speaker 3 (05:55):
You have nobody really because it's so fucking insane.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Because it's so so.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Kevin says, my dad Victor the menus if the man
was aren suitable for your diet. My dad is on
this strict diet yet doesn't lose anyway and has all
these issues. But he's on the strict diet, can and anything.
So my dad's whole thing is he's going to bring
his own food.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Anything that you guys are eating.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
But he has a special diet that's not sold at
the grocery.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
Store like ans, because that's what we're asking that.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
It's all just just tell us what you want and
for the diet and we'll bring.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
No, he's gonna bring his own food.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
That seems so much harder.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
So then my dad writes down all the things he's
going to bring rather than just tell me the butler
to buy them.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
The list, but that's the list. So then it keeps
going a little bit. We talked about how my parents
want the into a turtle farm. Yeah, it's a whole thing.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
So then you know he can't do the ocean swim.

Speaker 2 (07:06):
Well I thought the guy.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
Wanted a circle.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
I'm so confused.

Speaker 2 (07:09):
What's happened the snorkel thing we're going to get to too.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
So then this keeps going, and then it talks about
then it talks about Kevin goes Hey. They have kayaks
if anyone wants to go kayaking.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Because the water is crystal clear. My dad out of
the blue.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
No, Now, he gives his breakfast order.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
What I don't like roller coasters, like Chicken Palm.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
My dad turns the kayak. It's kayaking, and the water's
pretty calm in the Key West. It's like you've been
to the Bahamas. That's the water out there. My dad goes,
I'd be very I'd be very careful running a kayak
because two people went on the kayak and hid an alligator,
and the alligator attacked the woman and killed her and
two feet of water.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Just wait, in this specific area, we know that for
a fact, or just in general.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
I saw this news story a couple of weeks ago,
and it's one of those crazy, like freak, this never
fucking happens in the middle of a swamp in po Dunk,
you know.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Not in Key West swamp, not.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
In Well they're alligator, They're not in the crystal clear.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Water creature No, so that I immediately I go. So
my wife immediately responds, Wow, that's crazy exactly, and then
I google it. I google it. I'm like, what the
fuck is he talking about?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
And I go, I just read it's very rare to
find crocodiles and Key West alligators don't like salt water,
and my dad rides back. It was horrible, Tyler, there
are saltwater crocodiles.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
The man knows, expert, What do you know about crocodile?

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Do you know about crocodile?

Speaker 2 (09:08):
And then he goes, if you're kayaking in the ocean,
you're safe.

Speaker 3 (09:12):
That's where we're kayaking.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Where else.

Speaker 3 (09:18):
I don't, So that that's how this whole trip started.
So then yesterday we do a family FaceTime.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
Oh boy, and it's me. My wife's on her horse,
so she's not she's not.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
There, lucky, and it's me, my brother in law, my sister,
my mom, and my dad and we're all in the
family FaceTime. And the whole thing is, Hey, what excursions
do you want to do? And again, the whole reason
we're doing this trip is because my dad wants to stork.
And that's why we're doing We're going to keep uscauseally
I was like, let's go to like Greece or Europe. Honestly,

(09:53):
it's the same price. It's so fucking expensive to do
this trip because flying to Florida is not cheap.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Like we're flying We're going to fly to Miami.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
It's like it's me and my wife spreading close to
a thousand bucks on two tickets, Like it's so ridiculous.
So so my dad we're talking and Kevin goes, when
do you guys want to do? Kevin's my brother in law.
He goes, when do you guys want to do the
storkle thing? And my dad goes, I can't do the
snorkle thing?

Speaker 2 (10:17):
And I go, why can't you do this stormble thing? Dad?
He goes my shoulders and I go, what's wrong with
the shoulders?

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Can't move him? And then and then what do you
mean you can't move what you're working out? No, they
just hurt, that's all. And then my mom goes his
shoulders hurt, Tyler.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
Wait, she always needs to she always needs to have
us back.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
So if I give her, if you, no matter what
he says, she's always going to go his so and
so and then my name, she just defends him.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
Well, you know how you can call him out on
that shoulder if you think it's bullshit. As soon as
he comes to the room, put on the fucking mockerna.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Oh, because he's a big My dad's a big Mockarina
guy like Emily does the Running Man, my dad does
the Makerrena. You could put on any song, he'll do
the one dance rock bass.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
It takes two's start doing this.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
So we could still do the Moerna. I think we
can snorkel.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
What I mean, so you're doing this trip to snorkel,
but he's not gonna snorkel.

Speaker 3 (11:20):
Yeah, because so me, me, my brother, my sister, and
my nephew and my wife will snorkel.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
He's gonna stay back. So I was pretty pissed about that.

Speaker 4 (11:28):
Obviously, you don't even really need to swim to snorkel.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
You just float. It's clear enough there. You can stand
and actually just kind of squat down.

Speaker 3 (11:38):
But you don't understand my dad. When my dad goes snorkeling,
he doesn't just put on a vest. He's got the goggles.
He's he's got like two hundred dollars goggles. He's got flippers,
he's got hand things. He's not fucking fucking around Like
he came to our house when we lived in Amula
had a pool and he brought all the snorkel gear

(11:59):
and was and was in the pool with at I
swear to God, yes, and even doing laps. So then
my parents want to know, you know, does.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
The what is the house half?

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Obviously they need to bring all of their own food,
and then my mind. Then my dad goes, do they
have a microwave? And I go, I obviously they have
a microwave dad, and my dad goes, I don't.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Know that kind of high end villa.

Speaker 3 (12:30):
And then and then everything they asked. My mom says,
we'll bring it, and I go, We're not going to fucking,
you know, Iran.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Like we had they were in America.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
Still, this isn't a camping trip where you have to
bring every single supply like you're in a luxury.

Speaker 1 (12:48):
If you don't have something, you go to the store
or you send the butt.

Speaker 3 (12:52):
And then my dad wanted to know if they had
air conditioning. Boy, and I go, they have many splits.
Daddy goes, well, I thought they want to do heat.
I go, no, there are many splits. He goes, well,
do they have a fan? Because he needs an air
conditioning and a fan. And my brother in law says
they had a ceiling fan. Not good enough, he's a
floor fan.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
No, that's not true.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
So what did my mom say, We'll bring a floor
fan and then my dad goes, how can we bring
every the cat. We don't have a we don't have
this giant haw.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
You're the one bringing your own food trip. This is
already a disaster, dude.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah, I know, Like, how are you going to do this?
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Man, You're going to be in the same house for
a week.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
We're meeting them in Miami on the twenty third, and
then we come back to twenty eighth.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
It's gonna be a long five days, five days, you
know what. At least you'll have a fan.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
That is true.
