Bill Maher asks Nancy Mace, and the rest of his audience, 'where are the kids protesting' the ongoing genocide of Christians in Nigeria. Dan offers his thoughts on what more we can and should do in response to these atrocities, and why there isn't more mainstream media coverage of it.

Dan also tussles with habitual offender 'Erie Mike' on whether disgraced former FBI director James Comey is getting what he deserves with the current Trump Department of Justice prosecution of him.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Dan Caples and welcome to today's online podcast
edition of The Dan Caplis Show. Please be sure to
give us a five star rating if you'd be so kind,
and to subscribe, download and listen to the show every
single day on your favorite podcast platform. As we predicted,
more important radar. Yeah, the mess is cleared out, going
to be a beautiful night. There might be a stray,

(00:21):
wandering vibe. That's about every night, So cannot wait for
Monday Night football. I think we're going to see the
best of the Broncos and then then I think they'll
just keep getting better. So looking forward to that. Three
oh three seven to one three eight two five five
the number text d A N five seven seven three
nine Quick overview. We're talking about, Hey, these armed gun

(00:43):
point theft of rolexes right off the arms of people
in Cherry Creek North and Denver, a real nice, wealthy
shopping dining area, a lot of real nice homes around there.
So we'll play the sound of Larry. He's eighty five,
the TDA guy. He have, points a gun at his head,
give me your rolex. This is through a car window,
and Larry pulls out some expletives and doesn't give them

(01:04):
the Rolex Lives to tell about it? What would you
do in that situation? Whant it gets your take? We're
talking about the genocide of Christians. It meets every definition
of genocide of Christians in Nigeria. And why isn't the
world doing anything? Why isn't America doing anything? Why am
I not doing anything? What is it about that? I'd

(01:25):
be really interested in your take on the psychology, But
then also as a practical matter, what can we do?
Because the answer can't be nothing, right. I mean, this
is thirty to forty Christians a day, brutally murdered, often
hacked to death, burned to death, mass rape of Christian women,
all being perpetuated by Muslims. There no reflection on Muslims

(01:46):
here or anywhere else, but Muslims there are conducting this
genocide of Christians. I don't think America should just sit back.
I'm not saying US troops there, but America has an
awful lot of influence and an awful lot of ways
to effect I don't think that the Trump administration should
sit back while Christians are being exterminated in Nigeria. Bill

(02:08):
Maher credit to him for speaking up on this.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
The fact that this issue has not gotten on people's
radar right, no one's talking about it.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
It's pretty amazing.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
If you don't know what's going on in Nigeria, your
media sources suck.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
You are in a bubble.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
And again, I'm not a Christian, but they are systematically
killing the Christians in Nigeria. They've killed over one hundred
thousand since two thousand and nine. They've burned eighteen thousand churches.
This is so much more. These are the Islamis Bokoharam.
This is so much more of a genocide attempt than.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
What is going on in Gaza.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population
of an entire country.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Where are the kids protesting this pot That is a
very great point because we all know so many of
the protests tied to Gaza are just anti Israel. They're
anti jew protests, not all, but most right, and that's
why you don't have those same protesters out there. Oh okay,

(03:08):
we just had this mass rape of thousands of women
in Nigeria because they were Christian. Noah, you know, left
doesn't care about that. The problem right now is that
none of us care enough about it, and obviously there
needs to be more media attention, but that's no excuse
in this day and age. I've known about it for
a long time. I haven't done anything about it. So

(03:29):
something's got to be done. And there was another mass
killing just on Friday. There sixty four people at a
church hacked to death, burned to death, you know, rapes,
just just horrific stuff. Three oh three someone three eight
two five five texts da N five seven seven three nine.
All right, President Trump just successfully prevailed in I think

(03:52):
this was threatened litigation. No, it was filed against YouTube,
remembering when YouTube suspended Trump's account following January. And the
recovery for Trump is twenty two point five million, which
he's dedicating to charity. I think the money's going to
be paid directly, I think to the National Mall Project,
and then I think there's another two million or so

(04:14):
that is going to different conservative groups that got quote
deep platformed. I mean, that's the amazing thing from the
left now right. They always come up with these other words,
like they can't say abortion anymore because of ultrasounds. Everybody
knows now abortion means it taking into an innocent human life.
So they'll never use the word abortion. They even change
the names of their groups, right, National Abortion Rights actually go, no,

(04:37):
not abortion, We're cobalt or whatever we call ourselves. What
that's right. And then so you know, they do it
with censorship. They'll they'll never call it. No, we're going
to we're going to censor that person or that president
or this guess. No, we're going to deep platform. And
then they attack the people who quote platform them, which

(04:57):
means allowing them to actually speak.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
Don't you dare hold Jimmy Kimmel accountable in the marketplace
of ideas? And ABC Disney decides to make a move,
and all of a sudden, we live in a fascist country.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Yeah, yeah, no, it's And you know, we need to
talk about that as well, because I'm the guy on
air who's always been saying and I continue to that
when you have lefties or anybody, but it's almost always
the left, because violence is part of the left's playbook, right,
because they can't win the honest debate. But when you
have them using these violent metaphors, I've always said, listen,

(05:31):
that doesn't violate the law. I don't think we should
be censoring that because you have a lot of fight metaphors,
war metaphors, etc. That have been applied in politics for ages.
What do you do when it reaches the point where
you're pretty darn sure they're actually encouraging people to go
beyond the metaphor and commit acts of violence. What do

(05:54):
you do at that point? Like Kevin Newsom, right, we
all know this demon who shot Charlie Kirk and there
are a lot of questions surrounding that. But but wrote
on one of the casinges, hey catch this fascist, right,
So now you have Gavin Newsom coming out and just
you know, just tweeting out Stephen Miller is a fascist.
And you've got so many on the left now just

(06:15):
reveling in labeling different conservatives at right, knowing the conservatives hey,
wait a second, that's green lighting a killing. And then
the Nusoms of the world just sit back in cackle.
So what do you do about that? And and Kamala
Harris wasn't this And believe me, I'm not blaming Kamala
Harris for this monster who killed those people at the

(06:38):
Church of Latter day Saints in Michigan, not blaming her
at all for that. But do you think this is
just kind of innocent stuff At a.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Time such as this, it demands one thing for sure.
We must fight fire with fire, So let's get to work.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Thank you, And it's probably the most sober I've heard her.
But what is that supposed to mean? Again? I wouldn't
try to censor that because that's a metaphor that's commonly
used in politics. But then you look to the surrounding circumstances.
But on this Kamala Harrison and I guess it's irrelevant now, right,

(07:23):
But how come there's not more open discussion like in
the media as to do we have a medication issue?

Speaker 5 (07:31):
Here?

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Is it a legalized marijuana?

Speaker 5 (07:33):
Saying?

Speaker 6 (07:34):
What?

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (07:35):
And you think this country is going to survive this regime.

Speaker 8 (07:39):
Only if we fight for the country we love and
I'm listen. That's another piece of this, which is I
really want to remind people of the light that is
in each of us, even in these moments of darkness.
Especially in these moments of darkness, we.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Have to remember the nobody gives us our light.

Speaker 9 (08:01):
It's that.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Got I don't know what Kamala thinks of that.

Speaker 8 (08:09):
Cours so let's see it in ourselves, Let's see it
in each other. And may be a little flicker right
now because they're certainly trying to dim it. But don't
let them extinguish our light, right right right?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
You know me, I've I've got my lists of plus
and minuses, but I have not been a patron of
substances no is, and I'm not saying you have been.
But is this Kamala thing consistent with anything in particular?

Speaker 3 (08:45):
I think Kelly could speak most intelligently on this as
she is for a milieu of wine. Does this sound
like a wine kind of driven dialogue or monologue.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
By I think she hits the hard stuff.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
About that. I'm Margarita's I can see picture of Margaritas. Okay,
something like that great skid America's wine. Mom that was
Saturday Night Live, did that right, oh with my Rudolphe
America's wine. And I'm not even saying it's really I'm

(09:22):
just trying to lighten things up around here. I mean,
we're talking about this horrific genocide of Christians that nobody
in no nation is doing anything about. You know, We're
we're talking about TDA armed robberies of people taking their
rolexes off the wrist in Cherry Creek, North, and I'm
not saying anybody's going to be starting a movement over that.

(09:42):
But and then, of course we're talking about the latest
horror of all horrors, an attack on a church. People
gathered to worship God shot dad as they try to
protect their families. The church burned down. We have a
little more information on that monster. Will we'll get to
out of the break. I am going to next segment.
Even if I'm the only one who cares about this topic,

(10:03):
and I don't think I am, I do want to
talk to you about have we reached the point, very
sad point? But have we reached the point where every church,
every synagogue, every place of worship needs to have somebody
armed there? Would that actually be against anybody's faith? Do
you do you carry when you go to church or synagogue?

(10:25):
Three or three seven three eight two five five takes
d a n five seven seven three nine. You're on
the Dan Kapla Show.

Speaker 10 (10:32):
And now back to the Dan Taplass Show podcast and a.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Governor Wall same question to you.

Speaker 2 (10:38):
Oh, I don't know the answer, So I'm gonna just
say the word fundamental, bunch, because debating is thirty percent
fun and seventy percent demental.

Speaker 4 (10:52):
Okay, Okay, he's out there, he's doing this thing, whatever.

Speaker 1 (10:55):
That may be.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
Come just relax.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
You know, you haven't had a night off in three months.
Do you want to watch something less stressful, like the
Menendez Brothers show.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
I don't know, Dougie, I kind of wish I had
picked Josh right now.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
Oh, Joshapiro, No, Josh Cabernet. Anyway, Kamala Harris the gift
that keeps on giving. And I mean that literally because
remember what we were talking about a year out from
election day. Two years out from election day. Okay, Trump's
gonna win, Biden's not going to be the nominee. Dems
they're going to implode. But but it's it's more than

(11:32):
just the president winning. We need to expose the left.
And then when Kamalo was big, Yeah, she's not gonna
win even in the beginning, that sugar high, you know
that the polls being manipulated. No, she's not gonna win.
Right then, in no way America's electing Kamala Harris, and
and so all that came to pass. But the fact
the left has been exposed and and not enough and

(11:53):
we need to be more so. But that she's been
exposed as well. All of that helps long term, right,
because we're only going to have Trump for four and
let's face it, after the midterms. You know, I don't
care who the president is unless it's the Good Lord himself,
and he's not going to do that job. But in
nor should he, you know it. Yeah, no matter who

(12:14):
that president is, they're going to lose some of their
influence in those last two years. Trump plus so than others,
but he'll still lose some. So yeah, we've got to
have the left exposing itself to just benefit this whole
movement long term. And it's a combination of the Conservatives
doing well, the GOP doing well, the candidate's getting better
and better and better as we've seen that happening right,

(12:35):
and the left exposing itself. Because one thing, Ryan and
I get it, right, I completely get it. But one
thing that's kind of a blind spot is I think
it's really hard for a lot of Republicans to appreciate
what they're up against in terms of the stereotype of
the of the GOP because Republicans know Republicans, right, and

(12:57):
they know they're fellow Republicans, and if they go to meetings.
You know those people, and it just wouldn't cross your
mind that there could be this broad, deep, negative stereotype
of the GOP. But as a guy who was a
Democrat for many years before becoming unaffiliated and then Republican, yeah,
it's out there. And you got so many people who
don't even like the Democrats who are voting for because

(13:18):
they just can never imagined voting for Republicans. So much
of it is Republicans getting better and that's happening, right,
But also the left just proving itself to be absolutely unacceptable.
And then you'll hope for the flips along the way.
But that's why we need Kamala Harris continuing to do
what she's doing, and so many on the left, including Newsom,

(13:41):
right now, just exposing there, you know whats and it
ain't pretty. Ted in Colorado Springs, you're on the Dan
Kapla show. Welcome And one of the questions for you
and for Ted too, is have we reached the point
with these monsters attacking churches that every church needs to
have somebody armed. I'm not saying open carry, but somebody armed.
Have we reached that point?

Speaker 6 (13:59):
Ted?

Speaker 1 (14:00):
What do you think?

Speaker 6 (14:01):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (14:02):
Absolutely, I think it's our responsibility to protect each other,
especially at church. There's no reason why not. There's always
people in the congregation here are trained and would be
happy to Regarding that LDS church shooting, last I heard,
there was nothing definitive about a motive of the shooter.

(14:25):
And so there's this concept, and it might not make
a lot of sense to you and to me, but
it might make sense to an evil wacko like the
one who did this. If the guy were actually conservative
and maybe even Maga, he would be someone who would
have been very upset, for example, to Charlie kirk shooting.

(14:49):
So he would also feel a lot of hate for
that shooter, and he might feel a hate for what
he would connect as a possible driving course for that shooter,
Tyler Robinson, who happened to be raised underbout Mormon and
a lot of Christians don't even consider.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
I only interrupt because we're coming up on a break here.
So you're thinking that maybe the shooter because CNN is
reporting at a Trump sign outside his house, you're suggesting
maybe some kind of revenge for the killing of Charlie Kirk.
I think we can all agree that that no true
member of maga. No true conservative, no true Republican, et cetera,
would ever consider anything like the attack on this this

(15:34):
Mormon church to be even remotely justified by the killing
of Charlie Kirk, and for lots of different reasons, a
million different reasons, right, And so I've got to believe
that as we learn more about this monster, we're going
to find out very very deep levels of mental illness, delusion,
et cetera. I mean, we'll find out together, right, because

(15:56):
the info is going to get out there eventually. But
there's there's no way anybody could logically ever connect it
to anybody with the Mega philosophy.

Speaker 5 (16:07):
No, we never would, and I wouldn't have thought of
it myself. I saw common but clearly a man was
evil and not thinking like any conservative. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
I appreciate the call, Ted, thank you for that. And
then you know, it brings us back to this question.
You know every church now, does every church need somebody
who's armed? I went to a Catholic church, prominent Catholic church,
the week after that What week was it? Was it

(16:40):
the week after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I can't
remember the timing because I have that long stretch and
trial I just got out of. But in any case,
there had been some major public event, and there were
at least five or six you could tell, highly professional
young men, probably Special Forces type guys, all in street
closed church clothes, but you could see the airpiece and

(17:01):
they were strategically stationed, so there was no big display
of force, nothing that would disrupt the just the solemnity
of the mass, but you could tell that there was
heavy professional security there, and I think they wanted people
to know that without you know, the outward display of firearms,
et cetera. I thought it was very well done, but

(17:23):
just a kind of a typical Sunday Saturday, your typical church, synagogue,
et cetera. Do you think there needs to be somebody armed?
Do you carry to church? I'll ask Ryan that as well.
When we come back throughout three seOne three eight, two
five five the number text d An five seven seven
three nine. On this beautiful Monday night football night, Broncos

(17:44):
are going to roll.

Speaker 10 (17:48):
You're listening to the Dan Kaplis Show podcasts.

Speaker 11 (17:51):
A lot of people who suggested that there are a
range of factors that would make it difficult to put
a former There's not the system has not been tested
in this way. Do you agree with that that it
would be difficult or nearly impossible for the law enforcement
institutions to put him in actual jail.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
No, they would just put him in a double wide
somewhere out near the fence out in the graph. Boy
that James Comy, so much evil stuff from him, the
opposite of an American patriot, the damage he did to
this country. And the reason I played that there is
you know, I'm doing everything I can to learn as
much as i can from the outside about this indictment.

(18:26):
Right I can't get into the US Attorney's file. I
can't get that confidential stuff. But from the outside, you know,
you look at a guy like Comy, and that's a
guy who, on a moral level, court a public opinion,
did some really criminal things to Trump in this nation.
But did he commit actual crimes? And all I'm telling

(18:50):
you is I don't have a bottom line answer yet
because of the stuff I don't have access to. But
from what I'm seeing from the outside, don't be counting
on a conviction here. And again, there's still more we
have to learn. I'm just saying right now, do not
be counting on a conviction there. There's just so much
evil stuff somebody in the position he held can do

(19:11):
that's not criminal. So much evil, harmful stuff, and it's
it's one of the reasons he is just the opposite
of a patriot. You think of all the great things
the FBI its agents have done for this nation and
continue to do, and a guy like Comy just taining
just taining a great agency with his evilness and awfulness.

(19:34):
Three at three someone three A two five five the
number text d A N five seven seven three nine.
But don't count on a conviction there, Tracy and Longmont,
you're on the Dan Kaplis Show. Welcome.

Speaker 6 (19:45):
Hey, how you doing Dan?

Speaker 1 (19:47):
I'm loving the dream, my friend. Can I make an
important distinction here, just just for my own sanity, when
I talk about a guy like Komy doing a lot
of evil, I am not concluding personally, not that anybody
would care, I'm not concluding personally that he is evil.
I think there's an important distinction between somebody doing evil

(20:08):
acts and themselves just being a flat evil person. So
not that anybody cares about that distinction, it's important to me.
But Lord knows, he's he's done a lot of evil.
What do you think so?

Speaker 6 (20:22):
Well, you know, the things you spoke about church and
things and protecting yourselves. You know, Jesus does say to
guard yourselves against Satan. That's a verse.

Speaker 9 (20:33):
You know.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
I wish I would have gotten my Bible. I don't
know what I told you would.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
But you know you're the one guy who knew at
the state seal set.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
Yeah, that's right.

Speaker 6 (20:43):
Yeah, the watchful, careful eye over all of God's creation.
So what responsibility do we have? And you know, if
you go over to the end of Louisiana Avenue, which
I'm from Louisiana, and I know a little bit about
the construction of Denver just because the metaphysical aspects of it.

(21:03):
But if you go to the Louisiana Avenue the Arts
Diocese there there's a statue of John Paul. And if
you look over the sanctuary that that that that that
try and I is over the sanctuary also on the
Arts Diocese. What I mean, I'm not trying to well,
you know what, you know, the watchful, careful life, you know,

(21:25):
and to guard yourselves against Satan. You know, it's really
important to protect life, you know, you know, our rights
do come from God in knowing what that means. I mean, what,
what what's the Second Amendment? You have the right to
be secure within your own person's papers, houses, and effects.
That also implies to to thou shall not come to

(21:47):
that neighbor's house. You know, even even though you know,
people dispute the Ten Commandments being in legislation, but it's
still there. It's evident.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
You know, well, Tracy very much appreciates the colin and
are trying to give Tracy props there because I never
knew this. Tracy called the show one day to say
the official motto of Colorado and you can look it up,
go Google up. Now I drive into the state seal
is nothing without providence, nothing without God. That that's the

(22:17):
official Colorado state seal. So how did this state get
from there to where we are now? Where there are
so many faithful people, right, so many faithful Christians, including
Catholic Christians, and so many faithful Jews and others. But
how did we get to the point where so many
of our elected leaders are so secular, where the party

(22:39):
in power in Colorado is blatantly, flagrantly hostile, hostile to Christians.
The US Supreme Court said, so, you know, So how
did we reach that point in a state where the
official state motto is nothing without God? You know, more
precisely nothing without providence, same thing, nothing without the divine

(23:00):
will the other interpretation of that. Yeah, how did we
get to this point? And more importantly, how do we
get back to where we should?

Speaker 12 (23:08):
All?

Speaker 1 (23:08):
Righty, Mike and Eerie, where's our friend Mike Ben You're
on the Dan Kapla show. Michael, we were worried about you. Oh, yeah,
I don't need.

Speaker 12 (23:18):
To worry about me, Dan, I'm doing fine. Hey, I
just turned the radio on and heard you mention Jim
Komy and the word evil. Yeah, five times in the
course of about two minutes.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Should have been six.

Speaker 12 (23:29):
I'm curious. I'm curious, like, did you give an example
or two of some evil things that he's done?

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (23:35):
I would start with maybe the coup against a sitting
president that threatened the very foundation of our nation. I'd
start with that crossfire hurricane, which I'm sure you're very
familiar with. That, the big lie of Russia collusion trying
to bring down a president with it.

Speaker 12 (23:57):
Yeah, did you ever read did you ever read the
actual report?

Speaker 1 (24:02):
I did at the time. Yes, I mean it's been
a while. When did that i G. When did that
i G Report come out?

Speaker 12 (24:09):
And do you remember the findings that in that report?

Speaker 13 (24:13):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (24:13):
I remember, Mike, I remember. Regardless of the source, the
i G Report, I'd have to pull it up. It's
been years since I looked at it. But as a.

Speaker 7 (24:23):
Whole I'm talking about I'm talking them.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Yeah, of course the Mueller Report as well. Yeah, And
we talked about it at lengths on air. The whole
thing was a hoax. But please, Mike, and we extend
this invitation every time, and Michael, every time you bless
us with your presence, we extend the invitation. You know,
just back it up or pack it up, laid out there,

(24:47):
you got this big audience, You got this signal that
that you know on the app is reaching all over
the world. Lay out your evidence that Donald Trump colluded
with the Russians, and can you agree with me? And
as a a person of goodwill, can you agree with me?
If Donald Trump did not collude with the Russians, then
what James Comey did to him was evil.

Speaker 12 (25:09):
Well, here's my position. I don't think there's evidence that
Trump alluded directly himself with the Russians. There is evidence
that there are people.

Speaker 6 (25:21):
On his team that work with Russians.

Speaker 1 (25:23):
Again, lay it out there, Michael, Uncle, just the facts,
ma'am or sir, lay it out there for us. And
I don't fault you for not having them because they
don't exist.

Speaker 12 (25:35):
And you just told me you read the Mulla report.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
Michael. We're getting circular again, but that's what always happens
with our friend Mike. But we appreciate his call anyway.
And it's real simple here. We don't let people to
fame anybody here. But if you call and you say
you have FAX and you can prove this or this
or that, hey back it up or pack it up.
And Mike, I think he's what for one hundred and

(26:01):
three now, just never able to back it up, But
delightful guy. Appreciate his calls. Charlie and beautiful Colorado Springs.
You're on the dankplas. She'll welcome.

Speaker 9 (26:11):
Yeah, Dan, I'm glad to hear you back. Here's the
one thing, you know, they had the whole Jimmy Kimball,
you know what he said and everything else. But my
question to all of the you know, major television you
know station's is why was Charlie Kirk. I mean, I

(26:34):
knew who he was. I was surprised at how many
other people didn't have a clue who he was. But
you know, I mean, you know, with with with the
following and the stuff that he was doing, I mean,
you know, I'm not sure he was ever on any
morning news show, Nightline, any Sunday morning show. You know,

(26:58):
you can just you know, uh, you know, sixty minutes.
I mean, the guy had a pretty big following of people,
yet he was never covered, right, and you've just explained
for any of the nighttime shows. Yeah, you know, whether
you know Kimball or anybody else, they never had him
on any of those shows either.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yeah. And you know, I.

Speaker 13 (27:23):
Well, yeah, because he he didn't want him. But you
know who's holding the television, you know, the major networks
responsible to say, you know, why aren't you covering somebody
that has a following like this?

Speaker 1 (27:37):
Yeah, great point, Charlie, thank you for that. I only
interrupted because we're a minute late on a break. But
Charlie makes a great point. And who obviously the networks
weren't giving him the kind of airtime Charlie Kirk deserved
because they they didn't like the cause that they didn't
like his incredibly effective, appealing brand of conservatives them his

(28:00):
ability to reach and mobilize the young. Above all, they
clearly don't like his is Christianity and his effectiveness in
bringing Christianity to so many and bringing Christianity into a
politics as well. They didn't like any of that. I mean,
Christianity is obviously, they understand it's fatal to the left

(28:23):
if people start voting their faith. So yeah, that's why
they just tried to censor him and ignore him as
long and as much as they can. The consequence for
the networks, people are voting with their feet, who's watching
them and in what numbers they're able to hang on,
But really they're leaking oil. You're on the Dan Kapla Show.

Speaker 10 (28:42):
And now back to the Dan Kaplas Show podcast.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
The fact that this issue has not gotten on people's
radar right, no one's talking about it. It's pretty amazing.
If you don't know what's going on in Nigeria, your
media sources suck.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
You are in a bubble.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
And again I'm not a christ but they are systematically
killing the Christians in Nigeria. They've killed over one hundred
thousand since two thousand and nine, they've burned eighteen thousand churches.
This is so much more These are their islamispokoh Ram.
This is so much more of a genocide attempt than
what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting
to wipe out the Christian population of an entire country.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
Where are the kids protesting this? That's rights? Yeah, well,
so many of these Gaza protesters the so called genocide,
which is not right. Obviously, Israel's not committing to genocide
in Gaza. Israel's been the target of genocide for a
very very long time, including October seventh, a form of

(29:44):
that and a form of the terror. But no, so
many of those protests are just anti Jew, anti Israel protests.
You've got a true genocide going on in Nigeria, and
credit to Bill Maher for speaking of it. Mass slaughter
of Christians every day, thirty to forty off, hacked, often burned,
mass rape of Christian women and in the world just

(30:06):
sits back. So yeah, I just want to start the
conversation talk about what we can do, what should the
US do as a nation. President Trump has been is
such a friend, such a friend of religious freedom, including
religious freedom for Christians which is under attack all over
the place, including here in America, here in Colorado, and
I think it's time to extend that to Nigeria. I'm

(30:28):
not talking about US boots on the ground, but something
very meaningful and above all effective. Jay in Denver, you're
on the dan Kaplis show, Welcome.

Speaker 7 (30:37):
Hid and two topics. Can still carrying them three ballot
issues petitions, but concealed carry. I may or may not
have fairly new concealed permit holders and just everybody get
it if the're eligible. I may or may not have
worn a church the last week, right I first saw
the Michigan thing. Yeah, we do have a security team.
I would say two things about it. One, I'm not

(30:58):
sure their policy on it, but maybe identify yourselves to
them because if something happened to be there avat case
you pull the gun out and then you don't know
that you're going on good point. And the other one
is I'm not perfectly on the law, but I believe
in Colorado still they don't have that places of warships
into the places yet, but you can carry pretty much

(31:20):
anywhere in private unless they have a sign that says
you can't no no weapons. And even then, and I've
talked to the sheriff about this, even then, either you
say you didn't see the sign or the worst they
can do is trespass you. Right, it's not a criminal
offense if it's a private place, no middle detector or
something like that.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
Jay, here's a question for you, and it's want to
ask myself, do I I happen to be Catholic? Do
I need to I? Oh? Do I need to? Jay?
Do you need to in your mind, approach the priest,
whether he's pastor or not, and just ask for permission
to do that? What do you think about that?

Speaker 7 (31:58):
I think that's a good idea. I don't think you
technically need their permission if they have no sign, but
I think it's a good idea.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Yeah. And what I've wrestled with, my friend is is
I've wrestled with if I do that, am I putting
father in a bad position? Is it better? Because obviously, ultimately,
I mean I want to show ultimate respect to the priest,
and so that that's why the desire to get his permission.
On the other hand, I don't want to put him
in a bad spot.

Speaker 7 (32:26):
Fully agree with that, I would suggest that I'm just
saying from a legal standpoint, and maybe you could elaborate
more on this. I believe technically you're not. Legally you
don't have to, right, but let me let me get
to the three ballotpoints.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
For course too.

Speaker 7 (32:40):
You gonna like because actually we signed them in church
a few weeks ago. I don't know if you know
about these, and I wish I remember their number. Maybe
you can look them up. They're going to be on
the Colorabelle this year. Have to get enough signatures. Number
one is men and Women's Sports, Nuther too is Life
for Child Traffickers. Number three year is I believe it's
transgender ban for surgeries from minor. Are you aware of it?

Speaker 11 (33:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (33:03):
I heard them discussed in church a few weeks ago. Yeah,
and I was really glad they were discussed. Yeah, I was, well,
thank you for the reminder I should do that. Yeah,
I've been in this trial bubble. In fact, I think
I may have heard of them because I think the
bishop asked it to be read from the pulpit everywhere
I think I was at. There's this amazing church in

(33:24):
Glenwood Springs called Saint Stephen, and that's where I went
to church during trial, and I think that's where I
heard about it. So thanks to the reminder. Jay. Yeah, no,
I'll get on that right away.

Speaker 12 (33:34):
Ryan.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Can you remind me as well that I want to
get some guests from the archdiocese to talk about those
different petitions that are being circulated right now, and I
think people, whether they're Christian, Catholic, Christian, no faith at all,
should be supporting all of those causes. Ryan, thank you, Kelly,
You're the best. Enjoyed the big Bronco win tonight back tomorrow,

(33:55):
God willing. On The Dan Kapli Show.
