Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fifty seven degrees in downtown Denver. Good evening, Colorado, Wednesday,
December thirty one, twenty twenty five. It is New Year's Eve.
Stephan Tubbs in for Dan Capls today along with producer
and what they call you on the Rockies producer engineer
Jesse Thomas. What a treat. When I found out today
that it was going to be you, brother.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
How about that?
Speaker 1 (00:21):
I thought the same thing.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I like, what are the chances are?
Speaker 1 (00:23):
What are what do we to in the year? I mean,
what a way to end a year?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
That?
Speaker 1 (00:28):
As if you were not with us in the first
hour of the Dan Caplis show, I say, this year
can f all the way off and then round that
corner keep on going. But there are so many blessings
in our lives. I hope you have a wonderful New
Year's Eve. Don't drink and drive tomorrow morning. The Rose
(00:48):
Parade by Alma Mater always wins a trophy.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Uh Cindy.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo rest my tongue. Yeah sure,
now there are two cal Poly's. There's one in San
Luis Obispo, the beautiful central coast between La and San Francisco,
and then there's Pomona, the lesson should I should I
try to piss somebody off tonight just because of it?
Why not?
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I think that?
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Together?
Speaker 2 (01:15):
They were like, what's the worst that can happen?
Speaker 1 (01:17):
It's one day at the end of the year. Could
compare I shouldn't say this, but I'm gonna. I'm gonna.
And if you're offended, well, okay, Comparing cal Poly San
Luis Obispo with cal Poly Pomona is like comparing Rocky
Mountain National Park with Commerce City.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
Fair, and then we all know what you're exactly what
you mean by that. It's not offensive, it's true. Just
observe it.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
So tomorrow it'll win some kind of trophy the Rose
Parade tomorrow. Set your DVRs many ways to get in
touch with this program. Uh. The phone number is three
zero three seven to one three eighty two fifty five.
We because it's the Dan Caplis Show, even though he
may not call it that, I'm going to it's the
Dan Capitalist Law text line for the next hour, text
(02:02):
Dan dam to fifty seven seven three nine. If I
knew this system better and it wasn't like my first
two hours filling in for Dan, I'd be responding to
your text, but you know what, it's the end of
the year, Jesse. I just I don't know if I
want to try to.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
And unfortunately for everybody, I don't do this a whole
ton either. So it's kind of the blind lead and
the blind here today.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
So thank you if you've sent a text in thank you.
How about the newscast just a few moments ago talking
about Robin not so nice Nicetta, I'm like who I
said when I had the Stephan Tubb Show on kN
US and the whole Jurinsky Vanessa Wilson, Aurora former Aurora
(02:46):
police chief, when all of that controversy is going on,
and all of a sudden, here's this social worker and
I said it. I was saying her name wrong for
freaking six months, but I went to those court hearings.
She faked a brain tumor. Do you remember this. She
faked a brain tumor. She made heinous allegations against my
(03:07):
personal friend and then Aurora City Councilwoman, Danielle Jurinsky. So
we'll talk with with Danielle coming up in just a
few moments. We'll get to earned just a second couple
of the headlines as we close out this year. The
Minnesota corruption. The one great thing about this and the
twenty three year old Nick Shirley and then his older
(03:32):
sidekick David. Have you seen that forty plus minute kind
of expose using an iPhone doing the work of what
probably would have taken eight months for sixty minutes or
I don't even know if they would do it, CNN, Fox, anybody.
(03:53):
This I think is the tip of the iceberg. And
you know what, in the end, they can indict, they
can sentence, what ever, what are the They're never going
to get anywhere close to the amount of fraud as
in money, and probably there's it's just it's sick what's
gone on in Minnesota. I bet you there's a there's
(04:16):
a portion that it's gone on in other states. Daycare
centers with no kids and one hundred he uncoved this kid,
the twenty three year old kid YouTuber exposes in a
forty minute video like one hundred and ten million dollars
in fraud. And that's again, probably just the tip of
the iceberg. Lauren Bobert, Donald Trump probably not going to
(04:40):
clink glasses tonight at mar A Lago. There's time maybe
in our next segment. We can talk about that again.
Three zero three seven one three eighty two fifty five
stephan in four Dan on the VIP line. Let's get
to my friend, Danielle Jurinsky. Are you there?
Speaker 4 (04:58):
I am here.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
It is good. I when's the last time I sat
it in front of a microphone and had you on?
I tell you what, It's been a couple of years
at least. Yes, Well, it's good to hear your voice.
Many things I want to talk about with you, and
first and foremost in the newscast just a few minutes ago,
the story of Robin Nicetta. She's out on parole right now.
(05:23):
I wish we had a ton of time to set
up this story in case somebody tuning in is going
I have no idea who this guy is on the radio,
and I have no idea who he's talking about. But
can you try to encapsulate in a nutshell?
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Yeah, in a nutshell. This woman is the former girlfriend
of the former Aurora police chief, and she had a
position with a Rapahoe County DHS. She wrongfully accused me
of harming my then two year old son and tried
to take him from me. It went as far as
(05:59):
I have to voluntarily surrender my son to my parents.
And then when we were going through the trial for this,
she was faking her own death, showing up virtually, drooling
on herself, created fake medical records, a fake website, fake hospital,
a fake phone number, and that brings us.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Yeah, where we are now. Well, I was there with
you when she got sentenced, and it was, you know,
at the Arapaho County Courthouse. And you know, justice, justice,
I guess served, is in the eye of the beholder.
You know, I can say on the outside, as your friend,
oh Danielle, at least justice was served, you know. For you.
I think I know you well enough to know that
(06:43):
you know you wanted certainly a more severe penalty for
the crap that she pulled. And she was guilty beyond belief,
I mean, to your point, faking the brain tumor, drooling
on herself, all of that. But then just a couple
of days ago, whenever it was this week, I see
in the headline and I immediately thought, of you. She's
(07:03):
out on parole, And I thought, immediately, number one, I
want to talk to you. Number two, that is not justice,
at least in my eyes. And I know not yours well, correct.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
And what's interesting is, you know you're talking about these
news stations not picking up on things. They learned that
she was out from my post, and all of a sudden,
every news outlet, you know, started calling me and wanted
a statement, and of course I didn't feel like talking.
But what this really boils down to Stepan is you.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
Were with me in court when she was sentenced on
the original charges of the false allegations she made against me,
and that was one felony and one misdemeanor with no
criminal background, and you know, you.
Speaker 4 (07:47):
Want to show up support.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
You want the judge to understand, you know, how the
community feels, and that there needs to be a harsh punishment.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
So you saw I was packed courtroom, cameras in the
courtroom and not just judge sentenced her to four years
in prison with no prior criminal record and one misdemeanor
and one felony. And as you remember, it was such
a game of delay, delay, delay, reschedule, reschedule, and so
I thought to myself, Okay, this is a tough judge.
(08:18):
So for the second sentencing hearing, which by the way,
they violated my Victims' Rights Act and they did not
even allow me to speak at the second sentencing hearing.
But then we were facing.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Seven additional felonies, right, and three additional misdemeanors, And I thought.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
Okay, I don't mean to invite people. I got this well.
They allowed her to appear virtually first and foremost for
those seven felonies and four misdemeanors. That same judge, Eric
Ellis out of Denver. That same judged sentenced her to
three years probate probation. I thought for sure she would
(09:06):
get ten to fifteen years.
Speaker 5 (09:09):
She was facing up to twenty five years on those charges,
and he sentenced her to three years probation. So I
certainly didn't see this coming. And then on.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
The four years for her to get out after a
year and a half, I mean, from what I understand,
and it's been all over the news the issues that
have been happening with parole in Colorado. I've heard that
usually people who go up for parole don't make it
the first time, well, den the first time, but not her.
(09:43):
And you must pronounce her name, Stephan it's the name
that you gave her. Robin not so.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Nice, nice to right. Danielle Durinsky is our guest, just
a few more minutes with you, And I'm sorry, I
don't know where this goes from from here. I don't
know how much noise you're wanting to make, how much
I mean? And I know, and you know this, there
(10:09):
are so many people listening to you right now, and
they feel for you, they voted for you, they wanted
you to still be in office, all of that. But
is there a part of you that just wants this
nightmare to like be locked in a you know, concrete
box and dumped into an ocean and just to go away.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Yeah, and you know, sadly, I mean, I will carry
this with me for as long as I live, right
And you know, of course, of course I wish I
could wake up one morning and not think about her,
not think about what I've been through. And you know,
I mean, I hear anything about DHS and I immediately
just shudder about what goes on in that organization. And yeah,
(10:54):
I would love for that to happen. But will I
ever stop fighting?
Speaker 4 (10:58):
No, I won't do.
Speaker 5 (10:59):
I plan to return to office, Yes I do. I
can't say what office.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
I can't say when.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
Where or how, but I'm not going anywhere.
Speaker 4 (11:08):
I'm not going anywhere.
Speaker 5 (11:09):
There is so much corruption in this state. And if
people think that the the DHS system, CPS, DHS should
be at the top, it should be a number one
issue for any candidate running for office. It is legal kidnapping,
(11:30):
That's what it is. It's destroying families. It's destroying children,
destroying parents. And what happens is you get stucked into
this system, you lose your child.
Speaker 4 (11:41):
You don't know where your child is or your force
to voluntarily surrender your child. Fortunately, I just built different
stepan and I am strong as an ox.
Speaker 5 (11:50):
I don't really know how I made it through.
Speaker 4 (11:52):
But what happens to a lot of these parents is
they do they do kind of go crazy, they do
kind of go off the reels. They do turn to drugs,
they do turn to alcohol, and then what happens. They
can't stand in front of a judge and say that
they're fit to get their kids back.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
This is a rotating, never ending, vicious systemic issue and
DHS and CPS reform should be a top issue for any.
Speaker 5 (12:17):
Candidate, Republican or Democrat running for office.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
No, I think it's well said, and I wish we
had more time. If I feel in again. You know,
maybe we can have you on again. But the one
thing that I will leave you with is it was
not lost on me following it from a media perspective,
or I think so many thousands of other people that
while it was horrific for you, good Lord, the people
(12:41):
that came out of the woodwork, you're not alone in
this and it needs to something needs to change, and quickly.
I'll give you the final word.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
I couldn't agree with you more. And that's why I think.
You know, the more.
Speaker 7 (12:53):
People that speak up and speak out, you know, we
need elected officials and we need candidates to take this
serious and to hear us. Colorado needs major change, and
I don't care if it's a Republican or a Democrat.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Daniel Durnsky, Happy New Year, friend, and I will talk
to you offline. Thank you for jumping on quickly with
us here on the Dankplas Show.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
Absolutely, happy new Year.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
Thank you, Diana. Daniel Durnsky. She is a spitfire. I
knew this, Jesse. I knew she wasn't done. We'll take
a break three zero three seven to one, three eighty
two fifty five. If you want to weigh in your
reaction to Danielle's interview or anything else we've talked about. Jesse,
We're gonna also not only resolutions, but we are going
(13:36):
to I'm going to assign you top three predictions for
twenty twenty six. I've got my three. How about you.
Speaker 2 (13:43):
Let's do it.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Let's do it. Three zero three seven, one, three eighty
two fifty five. Stephan tubbs In for Dan Caplis. This
is the Dan Kaplas Show, twenty six minutes after five o'clock.
Stephan tubbs In for Dan Caples. Great to be here.
Thank you for the powers that be, like management, like
letting me come back on, Jesse Thomas. Great to see
(14:06):
the brother running the ship, running the controls, producer, engineer,
Rockies baseball.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
You haven't turned the power on us off yet? So, ok,
is this thing on? Nobody's coming through the door.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
Oh, we got a.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Couple segments left.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
We'll see.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
We're almost home, Stefan, almost home.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
We've got to break at the bottom of the hour.
Thanks again to former Aurora City councilwoman Danielle Durinsky. I'm
telling you, in following that story and if maybe and
I totally get it, it's been a while, maybe since
you've heard the name Robin not so nice nice Setta
out on parole. Now what she did to Danielle, I'm
(14:44):
telling you this woman was in a position of power,
she lied, she tried to cover it up, she was caught,
fakes a brain tumor, this, that and the other. If
you don't know this soap opera like story, I'm telling
you you should. Maybe you know tomorrow, Oh the next day.
You got a couple of days off. Read some of
the backstory on that. And here's the scary part is
(15:10):
it could have happened. And I bet you things like
what happened to Jirinsky that got headlines and guest appearances
on probably this program and KOA and K and US
and my old show. How many times did this kind
of crap? Does this kind of crap happen and never
(15:31):
makes the airwaves, never sees the light of day, Families
destroyed because at the time a councilwoman called the now
former police chief trash. So Nyceetta is gonna she's gonna
protect her lover and they're not even together anymore, by
the way. Scary stuff, Absolutely scary, And as I mentioned
(15:58):
to Danielle a few moments ago, during this whole talk
and it's getting the headlines and TV interviews and radio interviews.
So many dozens and dozens of families came out and
contacted Danielle Jirinsky and said, this stuff has happened to me,
Child Protective Services in Arapahoe County Social Services, this happened
(16:23):
to me. And without a public figure like daniel Jirinsky,
unfortunately going through hell in the public eye, probably other
people they would have did. Yeah, right, sure, Yeah, you're
being set up. Tragic, tragic stuff. We've got a break
coming up. At the bottom of the hour. We'll get
(16:45):
to some of the New Year's resolutions that I've come
up with and what people do and probably by January sixth, oh,
that was probably not the right day to pick.
Speaker 4 (16:56):
About.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
January eighth. January eighth, resolute us are completely done. You've
gone back to McDonald's, you've drank the two liter bottle
of Coca cola you said you would never touch again
in your lives. But before this hour ends, Jesse, I want,
I want your three predictions for twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
I'm ready, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
I have uh, what do we have here?
Speaker 2 (17:16):
I have six and a half more hours to lose
ten pounds from my last year resolution. I'm gonna have
to get on it. So I'll be doing some push
ups in some city. You'll be getting down on it. Yes,
I'll be getting down on it.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
Justf it works, just like cooling. The Gang uh three
zero three seven one three eighty two fifty five. Want
to give a special shout out to our law enforcement
community out there, the men and women who wear the
uniform twenty four to seven three sixty five. They run
into trouble when you're running out of trouble. It's one
of the things I want to make sure to do
(17:48):
today and every day is appreciate our veterans and appreciate
our law enforcement. Stephan in for Dan the Dan Kapla Show,
thirty six minutes after five o'clock, just a little more
than twenty minutes left, and Jesse, I don't know the
next time we'll be able to share a microphone together.
So it's sure is good to see you. And you've
got Rockies baseball coming up.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Yeah, man, sorry to remind you right right, I mean,
please go suck the wind own of me here. No,
We'll first broadcast is February twentieth, all head down about
the twelfth in pictures from Catcher's report, and me and
Jack will be on the air with you live from
sunny Scottsdale.
Speaker 1 (18:29):
Do the Rockies have any play in your three predictions?
I've asked you to make for I left it out.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
Okay, I had it down, but then I figured better,
I better not so I don't want to jinx anything.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
No, so we'll do that in our final segment together
on this New Year's Eve. Stephan tubbs in for Dan
Caplis the Dan Caplis Show. You can text us and
thank you so much. It's a new system for me,
so I'm not quite you know, easily responding, but please
know I've seen every one of your texts. Thank you
for texting Dan to fifty seven in the seven three nine.
(19:01):
This one in our first segment of the hour had
former Aurora City councilwoman Danielle Durinsky on and this text
comes in. Stephan, thank you so much for having Durinski
on your show. We need her in public office in
Colorado and shame on this legal system and some of
the judges in Colorado. I think that's an accurate text.
I think that there's definite truth to that. Look, you
(19:25):
know as well as I do, there are turds in many,
many different punch bowls, right, so to speak. There's not
there's not one line of work judges included. Public office
offices included that don't have people that are shady, lazy,
(19:53):
some would say even corrupt. That's just a part of life.
Speaking of I urge you. I've said this like four
times now since four o'clock. Pay attention to what's going
on in Minnesota. Pay attention to what this twenty three
year old Nick Shirley, the I guess, self described independent
(20:16):
YouTube journalist, is uncovering with just I would bet hundreds
of millions. God forbid, if it's in the billions, could
be hundreds of millions at least in corruption. This what
they've uncovered. And it was released on YouTube and x
(20:39):
the day after Christmas. They uncovered in like this forty
two minute video, one hundred plus million dollars in corruption.
And I said this at the top of the show.
I'll say it again, Shame on all of us for
not maybe either putting our foot down saying no, we're
(21:02):
not gonna be shamed and guilted and called racist or
in terms of media coverage. We're not going to be
intimidated by potentially being labeled as racist, because let me
tell you, if you're a black reporter and you discover
fraud and it just so happens that the fraudulent activity
(21:29):
is being conducted by a Caucasian, is the immediate reaction
to call the black reporter racist? No, So why is it?
Why are these two men who happen to be Caucasian
one twenty three one probably in his late fifties, early sixties.
(21:51):
They are Caucasian and they are exposing fraud with the
Somali community. Suddenly this is Racist'll take it a step further.
If there are newsrooms out there, and I tell you,
I don't know if I've worked in them, but I
certainly know they exist, newsrooms that would just as soon
(22:14):
avoid conflict coming across is potentially race targeting. They would
rather avoid the conflict than maybe go do the investigative
journalism that this kid has done. And regardless of your
political affiliation, you certainly have to I think give me
(22:40):
this when it comes to certain topics over the course
of ten twenty years, maybe one hundred years, when newsrooms
avoid true investigative journalism, true good reporting be because they're
afraid of the backlash it may cause if the intent
(23:05):
is based on fact and nothing but getting the facts,
and they still choose to not do it because we
wouldn't want to offend anyone. That is not the way
that this whole thing is supposed to work. I left
talk radio in November of twenty twenty three. I'm really
(23:26):
happy to be with you here in this little two
hour window on the final day of twenty twenty five.
But I'm telling you, I spent my entire life in
adult life, in newsrooms and in radio stations, in television stations,
and I couldn't look you straight in the eye and
say there weren't times where there were decisions made by
(23:49):
either a news director, upper management, maybe even the reporter
him or herself, that they just chose to look the
other way because they didn't want to he labeled as
a racist. They didn't want to be going after something
that could blow back on them, even if they were
in pursuit of the truth and nothing but the truth.
(24:13):
And even as early as this week, earlier this week
and what is today Wednesday, I mean Monday, Tuesday. You
saw the list, if you saw it on social media
the lists of the major news outlets that still had
done absolutely zero coverage on the Minnesota story up to
and including ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN. I'm not here to
(24:39):
tell you just watch Fox, because I think if you just,
if you're just I'm only watching Fox, that is all
I watch, I don't think you're getting the whole broad spectrum.
And I feel the same way. I only watch CNN.
I only watch Anderson Cooper on New Year's Eve. I mean,
if you only watched him tonight, that's fine, but I
think you need to expand yourself, go to different sources,
(25:01):
become educated. But when these news outlets are flat out
just not covering one of the biggest stories of the
year in one of the slowest news times of the year,
don't you just kind of go, hmmm, why aren't they
doing that story?
Speaker 2 (25:19):
And for some of them, not only did they not
follow up on the story, they actually started attacking Shirley himself.
They went after him as opposed to go after what
he was reporting.
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Jesse one true, when you when when you have some look,
I've seen this forty two I haven't watched it more
than once. Clearly the two Nick Shirley, twenty three years
old and then his person only identified as David. They
(25:48):
clearly have security, you can see in some of you know,
in the background, and by god they should. But what
they did, and I don't throw this word out there
a lot. We'll take a break and our final segment
coming up. I don't throw this word out a lot,
but what this twenty three year old did was freaking courageous.
It really was. I mean, at any any time one
(26:14):
of those darkened doors for the you know, such and
such Laaring Center, not learning but Laering Center, they have
Jesse pointed out, fixed the sign there could have been
the end of a gun or something just as bad.
So I mean, yeah, they had security, But what they did,
(26:36):
this twenty three year old did what major news corporations
failed to do. And now they're playing ketchup. And as
we speak, as we go to break, I don't know
what outlets national networks have yet still to do the story,
but I bet you there's at least one of the
Big three four five. Yeah, we're just not gonna do that.
(26:58):
We're gonna we're gonna talk about New Year's Eve instead.
Loo boy, look at that fireworks display. In Shanghai. Meanwhile,
we're talking about not just what they've uncovered, but how
much corruption? How much corruption? And I mentioned ninety minutes
ago or so what we don't know about the corruption
(27:21):
with COVID funding. I mean, and there have been many,
many stories, trust me, people have been convicted, tried, and sentenced.
But I still think that's the tip of the iceberg.
So kudos to a twenty three year old and his
you know, middle aged compatriot there David in Minneapolis. But
if it's happening there, has it happened in Colorado, California,
(27:44):
New York, Florida, Pick your state, final segment coming up
three zero three seven one three eighty two fifty five.
Glad you were with us on this New Year's Eve.
Don't drink and drive. We'll have some New Year's Eve resolutions,
resolutions and some predictions for twenty twenty six from me
and Jesse. Coming up next, This is the Dan Caplis Show.
(28:06):
Stay with us. It takes me back. Thank you, Jesse.
The old theme song for my old show, Yes, granted
on another radio station.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
We had to do it right.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
We had to do it brother. And the funny thing
is I get texts, Oh, I'm going through King Soupers
and your song is on. It's like, I don't really
even like Coldplay, but I love this song and it's
your song. It just will always be your song. So
the next time you hear Adventure of a Lifetime by Coldplay,
please think of me and Jesse. We've got just a
few minutes left. It's been a pleasure to be with
(28:36):
you filling in for Dan Kaplis today on his Very Show.
I'm Stephan Tubbs. You can follow me on x you
can follow me on Facebook. I'm on Instagram if you
so choose. Just looking as we are into our final minutes.
Soon it will be the final minutes of twenty twenty five.
(28:57):
Top New Year's resolutions usually or the following Jesse and
I will admit I've probably done every single one of
these except maybe one. The number one top New Year's
resolution is to exercise more.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Yep, it's got to be losing weight, become healthier.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Right, Well you just mentioned all three. Sorry. Yes. Top
resolutions are to exercise more, eat healthier, and to lose weight,
followed by spend more time with family and friends, followed
by live probably curb your spending is basically what this is.
(29:34):
Spend less time on social media, good luck, reduce the
stress at work, good luck, good luck, and to quit smoking.
Speaker 2 (29:46):
Mm hmm, that's actually one of mine. May the Force
be with you, Thank you very much. I'm going to
need all the help I can get.
Speaker 1 (29:53):
All right, do you have your We need a drum roll.
I don't have it, but yes, your time. Three predictions
for twenty twenty six, and we'll end the show with mine.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
Okay, Now some of these are serious, some of these
are no. I'll that you decide oka which ones. I
think that Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau will move to California,
and one of those two is going to run for governor,
most likely one and I don't know which one. I
can't tell you which one, but one of those two
is going to run for governor of California. My second
(30:26):
one is that Trump is going to name the big
beautiful ballroom the Monica Lewinsky Ballroom. That's my second one.
And then the third one, which is I actually believe
this is going to happen, and it's been involved the
World Cup. I had to get some sports on this place.
I think Japan makes a run to the World Cup finals.
(30:46):
So I am backing Samurai Blue for the twenty twenty
six World Cup.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Wow, have you seen the prices for the World Cup?
By the way, I have. You can see say, Senegal
versus Peru for like eight hundred dollars cheapest tickets. They're
coming down.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
They're having a hard time selling them, and I think, well,
I wonder why, Yeah, I wasn't in the market to
see Senegal and Peru for eight hundred.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Dollars from you know where you need oxygen. You're up
in the nice bleeds, all right. My predictions actually now
compared to you, I should have thought of something funny.
Maybe one of these is funny. My predictions for twenty
twenty six will start financial. I think that the Dow
Jones Industrial Average, which closed today at forty eight thousand
(31:33):
and sixty three, I think it closes in twenty twenty six.
You got to ride the wave, you gotta believe in
AI closes at more than fifty two thousand. That's a run.
And then watch out for twenty twenty seven Baseball's lockout
and the markets go to crap. Number two prediction. See
(31:54):
this is where like I'm bringing the party down here
I think we will have, whether we know it public
clear or not, US troops on the ground in Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
It's certainly shaping up that way, isn't.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
It is? And see these are just not funny like yours.
I like the Katie Perry Justin Trudeau better. And then
number three, which this could be a joke, Michael Bennett
becomes the next governor of Colorado.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Oh man, I hope that one doesn't come true. But yeah,
all steins point two.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
I can tell you who has no shot in hell,
and that would be the Yes.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
We all know Colorado's not going to change its stripe,
so he's not.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
He's got a good change. So I think I think
that is now I will throw out a sports prediction.
Let's do it. The Rockies are still the worst team
in baseball most likely.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
I mean, so if you look at this, think about
it this way, they could win thirty more games than
they did last year, tubs and still finish seven games
under five hundred. If that happened.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Man, there was a time where I told my son,
I said, and you know what, the Rockies are always
going to be in my heart. Still know quite a
few people there, you know, a billion, you know everybody there.
But there was one point I'm like, well, if the
Rockies won seventy four straight games, they'd still be one
game under five hundred. That was like this last season.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
Well, I can tell you somebody that has to do
all one sixty two and then on behalf of jack.
We're hoping we can play meaningful games in August. If
we cannot be buried by August, it will be like success.
I like that baby steps. You know fewer than twenty
under at the All Star break? Yep, Mario, what's yours?
(33:37):
Does it involve the Padres?
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Yes, I knew it. The Padres won the World Series
in twenty six.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
Well, I mean they have the talent and they got the.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
Check book to do it. We need we need some
more pitching. Yes, you do a lot more pitching. It
has been a pleasure man, Thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
Thank you, Stefan. It was pleasure. Is all mine.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Jesse Thomas running things. Thank you to Dan for the
invite to come in. Thank you to Dave Tepper for
letting me come in. We don't really know what all
anxion is, but I think we're going out with that.
I hope you have a special Happy New Year's Eve.
Don't drink and drive, don't drink and drive, and I
say again, don't drink and drive. Happy, have a happy, happy,
(34:15):
happy twenty twenty six. We'll talk to you sometime down
the road. For all of us here at six thirty
k h OW and iHeartMedia. I'm Stephan Tubbs. Good night,
and remember our troops for gott Y.
