Dan is back to life, back to reality in the host's chair and returns to a staggering bust of an underground nightclub in Colorado Springs, where over 100 illegal aliens were arrested in a DEA-led raid yielding illicit drugs, a prostitution ring, and illegal possession of firearms.

Meanwhile, Senator Michael Bennet (D-CO) - the presumptive favorite in the 2026 governor's race, gives an equivocating statement calling for 'due process' in the prosecution of those here without legal documentation or authorization.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is Dan Capless and welcome to today's online podcast
edition of The Dan Caplis Show. Please be sure to
give us a five star rating if you'd be so kind,
and to subscribe, download and listen to the show every
single day on your favorite podcast platform. Oh what a
beautiful day to fight. So glad you're here. Thank you
very much to the Sheriff, Steve Reims and Dwayne Logson

(00:21):
from the Gazette for filling in while I was gone.
We're getting ready. We've got these these four jury trials
in six weeks coming up, and I was overseas meeting
with some of the top experts in the world in
connection with these trials, and so it was so valuable
to have that time with them. You know, they happen

(00:41):
to be gathered together at a convention that unfortunately was
in Europe. But it was well worth the trip because
just absolutely brilliant people. But I could not have done
it without Sheriff Raemes and Wayne and of course Ryan
and Kelly. So thanks to everybody for manning the fort
last week. As I always say, because I always mean it,
I'm a surprise. The key card work done the way in.

(01:02):
But I'll take it. Glad you're here, so much to
talk about, and I know what everybody wants to talk
about is what we won't spend much time on today,
which is Shador Sanders. And believe me, I'd love to
because it's most of what I've been talking about off air,
but I know we are not a sports show. We
do talk about sports when it transcends sports, but I
don't think this issue does. Shadur Sanders falling in the draft,

(01:26):
et cetera. I just don't think it transcends sports. I
think it's a sports thing. So I'll keep my comments
on that to the break unless somebody wants to kick
it around three all three someone three eight two five
five tags d an five seven seven three nine. And
the only thing I'll say on the Sanders thing before
we get on too. And we're going to start, obviously

(01:47):
with the big national news that the big ice ray
down in Colorado Springs and what that means for Colorado
more broadly, and some related action. The President took today
very very positive steps to protect you and your family
in ways you may not even be aware of, and
and so we'll get into those details also, But on
the Shedor Sanders thing, I just want my prediction on

(02:09):
the record. I think he's going to be a really,
really good NFL quarterback, and so we're all going to
get to watch that unfold together. But yeah, what a
what an absolutely fascinating process as as he went undrafted
for so many different rounds three or three someone three
eight two five five text d A N five seven
seven three nine. Ryan. Great to see you again. How

(02:32):
was your week?

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Very busy?

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I bet it was intensive on the work side of things.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Also had this is inside baseball, but I had a
computer issue that wasn't just in our own KOA newsroom.
It was four wide, it was company wide, it was nationwide,
some kind of bugger patch, and it made things quite
difficult until Dom repaired it today.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
That goes to a really important point, right, which is,
and it's not original phrase, but the thin veneer of civilization,
because I mean, just just the way we're all kind
of wired right we sit here right now, We're so
caught up and everything we're doing today, we all just
feel like we're going to live forever. I mean, we
know we won't, right, but we just you know that

(03:16):
this thin veneer, that everything is so stable, all these
institutions are so stable, all of the basic services are
so stable. They're just built in, right, They're just always
going to be there, and you know, hopefully they always
will be. But the point is, yeah, it is a
thin veneer of civilization. You know, the grid, et cetera.

(03:38):
All of that can go haywire in a hurry. So's
it's just fascinating how we as humans just sort of
delude ourselves into thinking that so many things are stable
and forever that are not. And that's not meant to
be gloomy or pessimistic or anything. I was quite the
opposite actually, when you put it in the broader context
of there is only one thing that is forever, and

(04:00):
it's Yeah, it's not our favorite quarterback or sports teams
or bank account or any of that stuff, right, It's
it's God. That's it. Three or three someone three eight
two five five takes d An five seven seven three nine.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
One question though, Dan, Yes, I do want to touch
on the sports thing with you, because I know what
a big CU fan you are, yes, what a big
supporter of Prime you are?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yes? And I loved watching Shador play.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
I mean, right, why do you think Shador Sanders dropped
in the draft.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I think it all comes back to one statement he made,
which is another broader life lesson right, And we've all
experienced it. We've all experienced that moment where we said
something and it's it might have been what we meant
to say, but most often it isn't. Most often it
came out wrong, and then it just became a really

(04:52):
big problem. That's just part of the human condition. All
of this comes back to, in my humble opinion, one
statement he made from the combine in February, right, and
I think it was in February, and that statement that
if a team doesn't want to change the franchise and
change the culture, don't take me. I think it all.

(05:14):
And I know there are other things swirling around and
all of that, but but at that point, if if
you're a team owner, if you're a GM, et cetera,
and you know, if you draft this guy, he has
told you he is coming in to change the culture.
If you kind of like your culture, you kind of
like your franchise, you're just looking for a really good quarterback,

(05:36):
then I think that's going to affect the calculation. I
don't think there's any question he's a very very very
good quarterback. He's got the X factor around you And
I talk about this off air as well, and not
to be biased because he is our son, but when
it comes to quarterbacks, when it comes to a lot
of different positions, you know, forget the six five, two

(05:57):
thirty thing, who has that X factor or who's the winner,
because you know, it's kind of a it's part part character,
it's part virtue, it's part experience, it's part this and that,
and it's part X factor. Some people have it and
some people don't. And and he has that X factor.
He's always clutch. Who's been more clutch, who's won more games,

(06:20):
big games, late, things like that? So I just think
he's going to be if he wants to be. And
when I say that, I don't say it with any negativity.
He's a smart guy. He's he's a talented guy. He's
a guy who could succeed in business and lots of
other things. If he wants to be a great NFL quarterback,
I expect he will be. If he wants to go
do something else in life, I expect he'll be very

(06:42):
successful at that as well. I mean, his father was
very successful in lots of different arenas three out three
someone three eight two five five text d an five
seven seven three nine. Did you have a different theory there,
my friend? You look completely unsatisfied with that explanation.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
No, I think there's some truth to that. I think
it's deaf by a thousand cuts in some ways. The
perception of Shaduur that obviously prevailed among all thirty two
teams until the Cleveland Browns selected him at one forty
four overall, So he has an opportunity to prove a
lot of people wrong. And you know who else did
that one even lower in the draft, Tom Brady.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Oh, lots of people. Yeah, right, long list of great quarterbacks.
And this comes back to another pet peeve of mine, Okay,
And that is how notoriously awful so many NFL experts
are when it comes to quarterbacks. Because I sat here
on air that when Broncos made that Tim Tebow pick,

(07:37):
and I said, this is brilliant, this is transformative. And
it was. The Broncos have been the worst team in
football for the prior eighteen months, and Tim Tebow, when
they finally let him on the field with the worst
team in football, did magical things and he accomplished things
that most of the great you know quarterbacks of all
time and not done at the beginning of their career.

(07:58):
And so Denver was set up now with this great
future ahead with Tim Tuba's quarterback. And was it going
to be you know, a little unorthodox at time, sure,
but you know lots of great players have been that way.
So they're all set up and then they throw it away. Now, listen,
Peyton manning the goat. You know, one of the goats, right,
if you picture three or four goats in a pen there,

(08:19):
he's one of them. But Tim Tebow could have been
the answer for ten or fifteen years. He could have
been our Russell Wilson in his prime, and he got
thrown overboard. A lot of ego involved in throwing them overboard,
and Denver fans paid the price for that for a
lot of years. But the broader point is not that
I was right, and hey, you know I was happy
to be right on that. But the broader point is

(08:41):
just that there were so many experts who are true experts.
I wasn't disputing that those folks over there who are
seeing Tibo's going to fail are in fact proven experts. Fine,
but Experts aren't God unless they're God. And experts are
notoriously wrong all the time about who's going to succeed
as an NFL quarterback. And the reason is what I
said two minutes ago. So much of it comes back

(09:04):
to X factor, you know, not completion rate, because ws
matter more than percentage of completion stip doesn't yet all
that nonsense. You want a winner. Tim Tebow was a winner.
He was a great guy. On top of that, became
the most popular ethice in the world. And you know
what sealed his fate in Denver, He became the most
popular athlete in the world. You're on the Dan Kapler Show.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
And now back to the Dan Kapla Show podcast.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
Oh thank you for that. Ryan Texter may not agree.
Dan f spelled it all out, unfortunately, football. And why
would you spend American dollars in fing liberal Europe when
you have fifty beautiful states to visit in the USA?
I think Abe missed the point. No, the only reason
I was overseas is to meet with top experts for

(09:56):
a couple of upcoming trials. And these are Americans. Are
experts from America, the best in the world at what
they do. They all just happened to be gathering together
for a conference overseas, so the only way to get
them all together was to get them over there, and
it was worth it. It was just absolutely fantastic. But

(10:18):
not much tourism involved in that. We did get out
though before the big power failure they had there, which
thank God for that, right three or three someone three eight,
two five five text d an five seven seven, three nine,
those who texted to say, Hey, they don't want this
to be a sports show. I get it, believe me.
And that's why I started the show by saying we
wouldn't talk about it, and then my friend Ryan tempted

(10:39):
me into it totally my knowing. Oh no, I get it.
I want to talk about it. I get it. The
three or three someone three eight two five five let
me get to this. Of course, we're talking about the
big sting down in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Here's Pam Bondi,
the Attorney General of the United States, talking about it
last night.

Speaker 4 (10:59):
Ryan. They did so tobacco during the Biden administration. They
received one hundred and seventy nine to one one calls
to that club alone. That club, we were just watching
one hundred and seventy calls. Wouldn't you think that would
have been a red flag? Would nothing happen? Guns, shootings, AAG, batteries.
Nothing happened. So under Donald Trump, DEA, FBI, US Marshalls

(11:22):
atf ICE, everyone went in together, DEA led this investigation,
went in, got one hundred and fifteen illegal immigrants aliens
in our country, arrested them, two with warrants, twelve guns seized.
So what would happen in this club is you would
go in, security would give you a menu of drugs, cocaine,

(11:46):
there's something new called pink cocaine, math, you could go
in a bathroom.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Stall, get that.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Those prostitution, all these things going on, and we just
now identified a member of Sinaloa cartel was also in there.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
Yes, so why do you think they buy you? Administration
ignores all this? Why does the people's lawyer? Right, that's
what Phil Wiser's calling himself, the people's lawyer. But Phil, hey,
pro tip, you can't be the people's lawyer unless you
go into court on behalf of the people. Right, So
you might want to try that someday. But where was
the people's lawyer? Phil Wiser? Then? On this Colorado Springs Club,

(12:19):
but one hundred and seventy nine calls to nine to
one one. You would think the People's Lawyer would have
been down there protecting the people from this. No, no,
come on, we all know it now, right. The Democratic
Party wanted and still wants as many people here illegally
as they can get. They view them as voters. That's
what they view them as, and that's why they don't care.

(12:40):
They don't care whether there are people coming over the
border illegally who are otherwise good people who just want
a better life here should not have entered illegally but
otherwise good people, or whether they're the most heinous criminals
in the world. They want them all. They want them
all because that just means more voters. It's crystal clear
from their actions. So this is hilarious. Our friend Ryan
Sholey tweeted this out and you can find it on x.

(13:04):
This is Senator Michael Bennett's statement, right and now running
for governor of Colorado, the presumptive nominee. By the way,
should we be worried about Phil the People's Lawyer, because
has anybody seen or heard from him since Bennett announced?
I know there was this one kind of half hearted. Ah,
you be in Washington, but has any kind of disappeared
since then? Quite? Yes, Yeah, because he hopes to get

(13:27):
the Senate appointment, right, because remember it's not the people's Senate, see,
it's Michael Bennett's Senate.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
See. Well, he was talking Phil Wiser about pursuing all
these lawsuits against the Trump administration. Yeah, I think for
the circumvention in his view of due process for illegals. Yeah, yeah,
that's right. So let's see.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
The Wiser Bennett approach is that millions can come across
violating the law, right, but then each gets an individual
hearing before they have to I think that's their approach
to it. But here's a Bennett saying about Colorado Springs
and you can find this on Ryan's X. I am
committed to addressing the threats posed by illegal drugs and firearms.

(14:07):
I am closely monitoring the details of the arrest to
ensure we protect Colorado families and uphold due process for
those detained. Who in the right mind would vote for
this guy? That is to be like the weakest most
melli mouthed, over experted, over analyzed lawyer issued statement I've

(14:27):
ever heard. I'm committed to addressing the threats posed by
illegal drugs and firearms. We're breaking news here, Ryan, because
apparently illegal drugs now they have arms and legs and
they just walk themselves all over Colorado, and firearms the
same thing. They just have arms and legs and they
just walk themselves around and they shoot who they want

(14:49):
to shoot. What about the people here illegally, Senator Bennett,
who are pushing fentanyl, the people here illegally who are
using firearms to kill people. Are you committed to addressing
those That's clearly you aren't, because we look at your history,
which has been marked by going out of your way
to protect people here illegally who have committed other dangerous crimes.

(15:09):
Your career is marked by protecting them and then uphold
due process for those detained. Wow, what how many weasel
words can you squeeze into one tweet? I thought X
had a limit on weasel words? Don't they?

Speaker 3 (15:24):
I don't know if there's a hard limit now there
should but if there were, that would be in violation
of it.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
There absolutely should be. And then a really important announcement
today from the administration on something we've been talking about
a lot on air here for a long time.

Speaker 5 (15:39):
And then the third executive order, which actually speaks to
the heart of your question earlier about the Uber drivers,
will be a order directing the Department of Transportation to
include English literacy tests for our truckers. This is a
big problem in the trucking community that unless you're in
that community you might not know. But there's a lot
of communication problems between truckers on the road with federal

(16:00):
officials and local officials as well, which obviously is a
public safety risk. So we're going to ensure that our truckers,
who are the backbone of our economy, are all able
to speak English. That's a very common sense policy in
the United States of America. So the President will be
signing that.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
Later this timeon Well, thank you, President Trump for that.
And there's another reason, unfortunately, that so many Americans know
about this problem because they've had a loved one killed
by it. And look at what has happened in Colorado,
you know, look at look at all these big and
they're often highly publicized, terrific truck crashes where you have
drivers involved who aren't literate in English. I mean, I

(16:37):
was I spent five or six hours in the Jeff
Co jail a few weeks ago. You know, did deposing
a truck driver who was in jail after causing a
fatal crash that killed my client's beloved husband, and I
had to depose him before he got deported after he
was let out of jail on his Can you believe this,

(16:57):
he ended up with a one years. Don't blame the judge, No,
this was the DA who decided what charges to pursue.
But he was going to be let out of jail
before even a year had been served after this horrific
death in that case where all that pipe was spilled
up on two eighty five. And yeah, so I'd deposed
them with an interpreter for five or six hours, and
you're just sitting there saying, wait a second, you just

(17:21):
can't have this. You can't have somebody operating essentially a
seventy eighty thousand pound guided missile or unguided missile, as
the case may be, out on Colorado roadways who who
can't speak read write English. That's just elemental. And I
do agree with I do agree with the White House.

(17:41):
You know, the truckers are the backbone of America, and
the truckers do it right they're American heroes. That's a
really hard job, and the pros they do it really,
really well, and they serve us tremendously. I've said that
for decades on air, but people got to understand there
is an underbelly to that industry that is horrifically dangerous.
And it's not limited to two truckers who can't read

(18:03):
a writer speak English. It comes in a lot of
different forms, but it is one of the greatest threats
out there right now to you and your family. It's
it's something that should be cracked down on at every level.
Honor the great ones, reward the great ones, but the
ones who are out there as a danger to society,
we better fix that faster. You're on the Dan Kaplis Show.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
You're listening to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
Why did you feel it was it important to go
to the pops, dear, I just thought it was out
of respect.

Speaker 6 (18:35):
You know, I won the Catholic vote, and I think
it's the first.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Time that ever happened where a Republican won the vote.

Speaker 6 (18:41):
But what I wanted by a lot, and you know,
I have a great relationship to the Catholics.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
Very simple, What do you think of it.

Speaker 6 (18:50):
But I won the Catholic vote. We got fifty six
percent of the vote.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
I don't know why we didn't get more.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Actually, I don't know how they got any but we.

Speaker 6 (18:58):
Did well with the Catholic vote, and my relationship is
very good.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
So therefore, you know, I think I think it's a propaxy.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
I love that so much. A life and you know
this from your own life, right, So much a life
is about respect. It's it's just something. And I think
there are lots of different reasons for this. We can
talk about if you want to, But I think it's
something that we are. We are just wired to want
and demand and if we're good people, it's something that

(19:28):
we really want to show and to give wherever we can.
But I think it's just absolutely critical. And you know,
most people, what's that old saying?

Speaker 2 (19:39):
Right?

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I can't remember which famous historical figure said that, but
who was it? But the saying goes along the lines of,
you know, punch me and I'll punch you back. Disrespect

(20:00):
me and I'll start shooting. Right. Who was that? Why
at erper? Who said that? But the point pretty bad ass, yes,
But the point is Trump gets it right and I'm
not recommending or advising. In fact, I'll advise against it
shooting somebody who disrespects you. But the point is that
most of us, you know, react very strongly to disrespect.

(20:21):
And I think it's it's part of it's part of
good instincts, it's part of survival. And I think that
President Trump, yeah, I think he gets it and he
very he did the right thing. He did the right
thing to go show that respect, because I don't think
there's any question that the Catholic vote was key to
him winning. I don't think there's any question at all
the Catholic vote is why he won in sixteen. That doesn't,

(20:43):
you know, disrespect or discount the support of any other supporters.
If he didn't have all those other supporters, then that
surge of Catholic votes in the Upper Midwest in sixteen
late in the campaign out of the Blue Wall states
wouldn't matter, but they were the critical difference may or
in the end. So I think it's great that he
went and he showed that respect. And it is a

(21:05):
big deal as well, right, I mean often the pope,
almost always the pope is not just a leader of Catholics,
is a very influential world figure, and I think we
saw the modern apex of that with Saint John Paul
the Great, otherwise known as Pope John Paul the Second.
But yeah, major world figure and a world figure who

(21:29):
is different approaches but just always relentlessly for peace. And
so it'll be interesting to see who the new Pope
will be. Have you seen this thing circulating on X Well,
I'll send it to you. We can play it on
air maybe in the next segment where they did this
mock draft of the next Pope. Have you seen that thing?

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Ry mock draft sounds fun?

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Yeah, yeah, we can play that in the next segment. Dan,
can you tell me where Michael Bennett stood on due
process for those who were rested on January sixth? You know,
just where did AOC stand, right? I mean, is there
really any separation between AOC, Bernie Sanders Michael Bennett. Is
there really any separation there at heart, at the core

(22:16):
when it really matters, I'd be hard pressed to find it.
I mean, in that issue, in particularly voted against the
Lake and Riley Act. How do you vote against the
Lake and Riley Act? He went to like eight dem
Senators who supported the Lake and Riley Act.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
John Fetterman, did I know that?

Speaker 1 (22:31):
But it's part of Bennett's history of going to these
extreme links to protect people here illegally who commit serious crimes.
He's been very dedicated to doing that. He's the guy,
remember Ryan, I tweeted it. He's the guy pushing a
bill that would say ICE can't detain any illegal immigrant
at a polling place. YEP. At least he's not trying

(22:51):
to be subtle about why he wants folks here illegally.

Speaker 3 (22:54):
If we put it this way, to the Texter's point,
and I completely agree with it, shouldn't do process be
afforded to American citizens as is in the case with
January sixth. They were American citizens who were there. Now
how it's adjudicated, that's a different matter. But due process
should apply to American citizens before people who are here illegally.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Period. Well, if Michael Bennett ever had the courage to
come on the show, we could ask him if he
agrees with that right. But hey, I also want to
get your take, get everybody's take on the big raid
down in Colorado Springs. What do you think is behind it?
What do you think it's all about? Do you think
we're going to see more of these? Do you want
to see more of these? Here's Pam Bondi.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
Last night, Brian. What they did so tobacco during the
Biden administration. They received one hundred and seventy nine to
one one calls to that club alone, that club, we
were just watching one hundred and seventy calls. Wouldn't you
think that would have been a red flag? Would nothing happen? Guns, shootings,
bag batteries. Nothing happened. So under Donald Trump, Dea, FBI,

(23:57):
US Marshalls, atf Ice, every one went in together. Dea
led this investigation, went in, got one hundred and fifteen
illegal immigrant.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
You know what, the best part of that is the
best part of that whole story, who led it? Dea
led it right, because you got to remember something really important,
and that is that the left wants a drugged up America.
The left wants a stoned America. The left wants a
waste in America. That's why legalization of marijuana has been

(24:30):
such a top priority for the left across the country.
And at one point you had some hardcorees on the
left who were saying they wanted to make all drugs
legal and then they realized that wasn't going anywhere. But
then they figured out they could accomplish pretty much the
same goal through legalization of marijuana and then just allowing
this unlimited potency, because then it's you know, and hey,

(24:51):
old fashioned two to four percent THHC leaf marijuana very
dangerous in and of itself, which is why until twenty twelve,
no other major city in the world, I don't think
any other place in the world in modern times had
legalized even old fashioned leaf marijuana because of all the harms.

(25:12):
But when you allow that potency to get cracked up,
you're talking about Krakawana. So the left figure they could
accomplish their goal the same way. But the left wants
a drugged up America because a drugged America is dependent
on government, and that's going to ensure votes for the left.
That's their game plan, and so that's why you see
everybody from Polis to Johnston, to hicken Looper to Bennett

(25:36):
to the whole bunch of Colorado Democrats and across the nation.
You know, that's why they essentially just sit back. They'll
make some token efforts, but they facilitate through their inaction
and sometimes through their Verrey reaction. They facilitate, you know,
this explosion of fent and all and other drugs in America.
A drugged up America means more votes for the left.

(26:00):
And so yeah, that's why you don't see, Yeah, where
was Phil Wiser? Where was Phil Wiser doing what an
AG should do to try to crack down on fentanyl
into Colorado and this club in Colorado Springs and everything else.
And if he says he doesn't have formal jurisdiction or whatever,
I'd want to see the proof of that. But you
can sure use the soapbox, right, which he uses all
the time, uses all the time, which makes it even

(26:23):
more alarming to me. Ryan, I don't know about you
that I don't know that we've had a public sighting
of Phil Wiser since Bennett announced, have we.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
He was at the Capitol, like I said, for a
rally there, but he was his sites politically were set
on Trump and you and I commented on this. Anybody
worth their solid and political analysis knows there was an
enormous out opening with Michael Bennett deciding to hold onto
his Senate seat, the ethical morass that that created, and
that Wiser had an opportunity to set himself apart and
really hone in on that issue.

Speaker 1 (26:53):
He didn't do it well because he wants the Senate
see and so, but it's our Senate seat, you see.
Michael Bennett thinks it's his Senate seat because he's an
ultimate elitist. And here's a profound truth that you haven't
heard anywhere else. But I would ask you to ponder
and accept, and if you agree, then just keep it
in mind. And that is it's a mistake to think
of Michael Bennett as a Democrat. Michael Bennett is an aristocrat.

(27:19):
Michael Bennett is an aristocrat. He is an ultimate elitist,
born with the silver spoon in his mouth, and wealthy, political,
politically connected DC. He's an elitist. And this is the
ultimate elitist move. Oh, that's not the people's Senate seat,
that's my Senate seat. And yeah, I'm just going to

(27:39):
go run for governor of Colorado. But I'm just going
to hold onto that seat. And you know, we could have.
You know, Michael Bennett talks about being so enlightened in
DEI and rights of women and people of color and
everything else, and then he kicks them all on the
grond because we could have. But we could have the
first woman Senator from Colorado to day. Today it's Michael

(28:01):
Bennett standing in her way. We could have the first
US Senator of color from Colorado to day, we would
it almost certainly go to Joe no goose. We could
have the first Colorado Senator of color to day. And
who's standing in the Senate door blocking that person of
color from becoming a US Senator from Colorado. Michael Bennett

(28:22):
is standing in the door of the Capitol blocking that
person of color from becoming a US Senator. Today, who's
standing in the door of the Capitol blocking a woman
from becoming the first female US Senator from Colorado. Michael
Bennett's standing in the Capitol door. The ultimate aristocrat, the
ultimate phony. And the people of Colorado, God willing, they're

(28:42):
going to see that. You're on the Dan Capla Show.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
And now back to the Dan Kapla Show podcast. Ah,
you figured it out.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Brian is a brilliant political analyst. This is a new
form of triangulation by Bennett, right, because he keeps doing
all of this really meally mouthed, just stunningly weak stuff.
At the same time he's acting like what he truly
is his ultimate arrogant aristocrat, and and maybe he's going

(29:16):
for Well, I was going to say something, and I'm
not because it it might get me in trouble with management.
I'll hold off.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
I could save you with a very pertinent question of
the song we just heard, which is from the Muppet
movie with Jason Siegel. It's a really good song. By
the way, am I a man or a Muppet? And
which muppet would be easier to understand Michael Bennett when
he gets really upset ted Cruz.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Or the Sweetish Chef?

Speaker 1 (29:48):
Which one? Dan, I've never watched the Muppet. Oh, come on,
I've never watched him. Sorry, I sor I've never watched
him in my life.

Speaker 2 (29:55):
Amy has had to have watched the Muppets.

Speaker 1 (29:58):
I will ask her about that tonight. That's That's the
thing I'm looking forward to most tonight and asking Amy
about the Muppets.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
Please tell her that I'm the one that prompted that,
because I don't want you to have to take the
heat for like, why are you asking me about the Muppets?

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Yeah, but if you just joined just the reason we're
talking about Bennett, obviously we open the show we're talking
about the big raid down in Colorado Springs and over
what one hundred and ten arrested. The focus is on
the ice piece arresting a bunch of illegal immigrants, and
believe me, I understand that focus. But my point is
the raid was led by Dea and to me, that's

(30:29):
such a very positive thing because drugs are obviously that
they're just causing such harm throughout Colorado, throughout your community,
throughout the families you know in your community, throughout America,
and we focus on, as we should, the ultimate loss
of death, and there's mass death across America right from
these drugs the Democrats have have allowed to just flow

(30:50):
into Colorado in the country, but for those who do
survive it, there's so much more harm that comes for
those who survived these drugs and that and that to
me is so awful on every single level, starting with
the human level. That all these Democrats, including Michael Bennett,
who have facilitated this and let's use that popular word

(31:13):
from the recent Supreme Court opinion, they didn't go out
and order it to occur, but they supported actions that
they knew would cause it to occur, which tells me
they don't have a problem with it at all, And
it comes back to my core point I've been making
for years. The left wants it drugged up to America
because it's more dependent on government and more inclined to

(31:34):
vote left. So I love the fact that Dea led
that raid because hopefully it means that there's going to
be and we've seen other signs of it. There's going
to be a one to eighty degree turn in this
attitude towardy legal drugs, and there's going to be a
real crackdown. And I think that that big raid in
Colorado Springs major thrust of that was fighting back against

(31:56):
ventanyl and then obviously anybody here legally who's involved in
pushing fentanyl never should have been in and right, the
border should have been controlled all along, right, but they
should be the first to be sent out. Dan. It
was so ridiculous how the mainstream media tried to portray
Trump as the only leader in a blue suit after
the pope pest for everyone to wear black. MSN focused

(32:18):
on a small group for their picture, but when you
zoomed out, lots of leaders wore a blue suit, including
Joe Biden. That from Alexa, right, and thank you Alex
And then also it looked to me like in one
of the photos that want to go back and confirm,
which that a color filter had been used to make
Trump's suit appear even more blue. I mean, they didn't
learn their lesson on November four, did they. The other

(32:41):
thing I think we should keep in mind is now
this barrage of poles being pumped out by the left
claiming that Trump's numbers are plummeting. You know again, remember
these are the same polsters who told you before election
Day he was going to lose, and the same pollsters
who told you back in twenty sixteen he was going
to lose. They should have no cree ritibility with you, whatsoever.

(33:02):
Three or three someone three eight two five five text
d A N five seven seven three nine. This may
be my favorite cut of the day. This is and
you've seen the scene so many times right here in Colorado, DC,
other places where you've got these these fairly politically impotent
democrats now just gathering together places and singing. And this

(33:24):
happened to be on the steps of the US Capitol.

Speaker 6 (33:27):
You know the song from beginning, Hi Bill, build this
world on the yetta, Dad, right, thank.

Speaker 2 (33:39):
You, you go out to the Muffet song.

Speaker 6 (33:41):
Please YadA da yadae.

Speaker 1 (33:48):
We build this word from low.

Speaker 6 (33:52):
Yet dade and YadA, then God, we'll build this world.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Some not unbelievable. I'd love to talk to that guy, right,
because I would bet you everything I own, everything I own.
He supports, he glorifies, he pushes, he pushes, the dismemberment
of children up to the very moment of birth. And
these are the people who are talking about love lives here. Yeah,

(34:21):
unless you're living there inside of mom and in which
case say they should be able to kill you up
to the moment you're born. Right, So I think America
is on all this, and I think election days showed
that also. They're just such phonies. But the funniest part
is they believe their own stuff, right, I mean, I

(34:41):
mean they think people haven't figured them out. And I
think part of it is so many of them live
in these dwindling number of blue bubbles, you know, like
Bennett and Hick and Looper and Johnston and polists live
in here. So what will it take to puncture that
blue bubble? Hey? When we come back, And it's a
nice spin off off this covering a lot of ground

(35:02):
in the five o'clock hour, including Colorado Springs. What do
you think that raid was all about? What do you
think comes next? Does the Trump administration have a special
focus on Colorado? Should it? I think it should for
very legitimate public safety reasons. Talk about that and more
on The Dan Caplin Show.
