Speaker 1 (00:00):

single day on your favorite podcast platform.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Well, hello everyone again, this is Heidi Ganal filling in
for Dan Kaplis, Day two of three.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Ryan.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
I'm thrilled to be here this many times this week
and have been, of course paying attention to everything going
on in the news today while I was at the
dentist getting a new crown. So yeah, hopefully I can
continue to talk. Well, they didn't numb me too badly,
but you know, I wish we could numb ourselves from
the news Sometimes. I just I have to shake my

(00:44):
head at some of the things I saw today as
I was sitting in the chair scrolling through Twitter.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
Are the ones that kind of made me go, hmm.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Was Starbucks is blocking people from calling out Charlie Kirk
is their name or writing Charlie Kirk on their cups.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
That was weird. And also saw.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
The news about the game and I know you guys
just talked about this with Sheriff Weekly and it happens
to be my daughter's high school that has playing this
Assassin game and it's been going on for years. Apparently
they play this but I, oh boy, that's a scary
thing as a parent to hear that there's miscommunications about
what's going on in the game and how those toys

(01:27):
are being construed.

Speaker 4 (01:28):
So kids be safe. Be safe.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
But I wanted to tell you a little bit about
the program. We're going to have Tanner Egglife on in
the second hour. He is one of the leaders of
Turning Point at CU Boulder. Tanner is a great guy.
He was a volunteer in my campaign. I've known him
for years. And then we're also going to have Priscilla
Ron to talk about her new book and about leaving
the Teachers' Union and what that's been like for her

(01:53):
as a teacher. But I wanted to announce that CSU
Colora State is going to host a memorial service for
Charlie Kirk on Thursday night. That was the day that
Charlie was supposed to be there doing his campus Comeback Tour,
our American Comeback Tour, and so they decided, rather than

(02:15):
all these individual vigils going on, that they would allow
the all of them to combine and go into the stadium.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
They thought that would be safer.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Of course, the stadium holds up to forty thousand people,
so we'll see what the turnout is. I mean, we
had thousands of people on Sunday at Brave Church. I
think there were over five thousand people between the two locations,
about four thousand and one and about fifteen hundred at
the other. So I imagine Fort Collins the stadium's.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Going to be pretty full.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
And I need to read a bit more about how
they're going to keep everybody safe, because I'm going to
speak as is my friend Isabelle Brown, who's from Colorado
and has a new show on Daily Wire, and we
were texting earlier about how, you.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Know, we want to make sure that they're doing everything.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
They can to protect us, and Isabelle and I were saying,
not necessarily for us, but for our kids. I mean,
Isabelle's a new mom and I'm a mom, and we've
got to make sure that our children feel good about
us speaking out and you know, staying in this fight.
And so I'm thrilled that they're doing it. I'm really

(03:21):
proud of CSU for standing up and saying that they'll
take care of this and working with Turning Point.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
To do so.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
But I also, you know, it just gives me a
little bit of pause as a parent, like, Okay, they
got to keep everybody safe that's there and make sure
that nothing bad happens.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Now.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
The reason I thought about this was because it came
to my attention that a counter protest is happening from
four to six on Thursday night on campus at the
Lori Students Center at CSU, and it's sponsored by the
CSU Political Review in the National ground Game, and it's

(03:56):
called This whole effort is called the u F Bad
Word America Tour. I'll let you guys play that out
in your head because I don't want to say that
on the radio or a un I'm sorry, un gosh,
that was a bad from all right, un F you
know what America Tour, which the name alone is like, Wow,

(04:18):
you're just asking for a lot of attention from people
who may want to do bad things in my estimations,
but I looked at the website and apparently it's about,
you know, having alternative conversations to counter the Turning Point narrative.
But it just feels a little unsettling to me that

(04:39):
seeus kind of rolling the dice and letting both these
things go on at the same time. And as a
regent at the University of Colorado for six years, I
know they have to, you know, be very liberal or
flexible about who they let on the campus. But with
everything that's gone on in the last week, it's just
unsettling that there's going to be a counter protest with

(05:01):
the name of that tour just very close to the stadium.

Speaker 4 (05:07):
So I'll give you.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Some updates on what I find out about how they're
going to keep us safe tomorrow on the show. But
you know, we continue to talk about the tragedy of
losing Charlie Kirk and the fallout from that, good and bad.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
I was blessed an.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Honor to be a part of a high school turning
point meeting today at a private Christian school, and over
one hundred kids showed up and I spoke for a
few minutes, but I teared up.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I was so.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
I was so excited to see so many kids come,
and I asked them how they were feeling, if they
were feeling fearful, if they were feeling emboldened, And almost
every hand went up when they said they're feeling brave
and emboldened and ready.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
To stand up for their values now again.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
As a mom, that makes me a little bit nervous,
but overall, I'm really really happy that the students feel
that way, and they wanted to show up. They wanted
to talk about Charlie. They wanted to talk about what
was going on, and they wanted to figure out how
to articulate their values and their principles, just like Charlie's
been teaching them how to do for a long time.

Speaker 4 (06:10):
So we practiced that.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
We wrote letters to Erica, Charlie's wife, and his children,
and I'm going to deliver those this weekend, along with
all the letters that people wrote at Brave Church, because
we did the same thing at the end of that
church service on Saturday. When I arrive in Arizona and
my daughter now be going to the memorial service on Sunday,

(06:32):
very it's going to be extremely sad, extremely emotional, but
we both cared deeply about Charlie and we want to
be there to honor him and to be with fellow
patriots and friends and people who cared about Charlie too.
I think the stadium holds about sixty five thousand people,
so it should be.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
A big, big event.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
President Trump and Vice President j D. Vance are going
to be there. And I did get a chance to
watch JD's podcast. He took over Charlie Kirk's podcast for
the day yesterday, and I am so proud of how
bold he was and how strong and resolved he was
that what was happening is not okay and this isn't

(07:16):
about unity now. You can't unify with people who want
to kill you.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Or assassinate you.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
And I'm sure that his wife and children are worried
about him, especially, but I was really really just excited
and proud that he's so strong and resolved to push
back on what's.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
Happening across America.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
That made me feel a little bit better about going
forward and that this isn't going to get pushed under
the rug. And honestly, I don't think people across the
globe are going to let that happen. I see so
many people wearing hats and shirts with the freedom shirts
that Charlie was wearing or that we are Charlie Kirk.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
Hats and shirts are flying off.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
The shelves and the services around the planetm memorials, the
showing up to say this is not okay, and not
just from people that are part of the Turning Point movement,
that people all over the globe. It's been really really
heartwarming to see that. And I know Charlie would be
so proud that he's moving so many people towards their

(08:19):
faith and to a relationship with Jesus Christ. That was
his number one priority in life. And I believe that
he is smiling down from that aspect, knowing that he's
making a difference. And I believe his wife, Erica had
the same message if you watched her speech, but the
other message was to get involved, to show up. And

(08:40):
like I said yesterday there I looked up the number
again at Little More Research, seven hundred and fourteen high
schools across the state, and I think we should do
everything we can to make sure every single high school
has a Turning Point chapter and that the kids are
supported and that they are able to explore how they
feel about this, how they feel about free speech. They
need to practice how to articulate their principles, their values,

(09:04):
and we as adults need to make sure that they
can do that and feel safe. So I would encourage
every parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, neighbor, get involved.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
Ask how you can volunteer.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
To be a mentor, to help to bring pizza, which
is what we did today, and we didn't bring enough,
so I had to order for I think, let's see
ten more extra large pieces because a lot of the
football players were there and each.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
Of them took a whole pizza.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
Ryan.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
They literally, oh yeah, high school football players. Like I
looked at him. I was like, wow, I did not order.
Next time, I'm gonna have to order like a hundred pizza.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
Things severely miscalculated.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Oh gosh.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
It's just it's a little bit hard to get past
the somber feeling.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
But we're going to talk about some sad things some
happy things.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Today and we're going to tackle the issues that we're
hearing about. Oliver Colorado so Ryan so glad to be
back here today. We'll talk more after the break. This
is Heidiganal filling in for Dan Kaplis.

Speaker 3 (10:03):
And now back to the Dan kapless Show podcast. We've
heard years years of the left.

Speaker 6 (10:08):
Their loudest voice is calling anyone on the right extremists, extremist,
maga Republicans, fascist, Nazis, and existential threat to democracy.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
Check yourself and don't give.

Speaker 6 (10:20):
Me this both sides both, mister director.

Speaker 3 (10:25):
I want to ask you.

Speaker 6 (10:28):
Tell me if each one of the following perpetrators or
alleged perpetrators were acting from a left wing or right
wing ring right right wing political violence. The man who
killed who tried to kill Republican congressman at the Congressional
baseball practice, nearly killing House Majority Leader Steep Scleeze left
wing or right wing violence.

Speaker 3 (10:47):
Sorry, I believe it was a left wing ideology.

Speaker 6 (10:49):
Okay, burn down cities during the Summer of Love in
the George Floyd riots.

Speaker 3 (10:54):
Left wing violence or right wing violence.

Speaker 5 (10:56):
Sir, I'll rely on you on these.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
I don't have off the time, Okay. Left wing.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
The Waukesha Christmas Parade massacre, left wing or right wing violence,
left wing, the lee Zelden stabbing attempt, left wing or
right wing left wing. The Covenant School shooting in Nashville,
left wing or right wing, left wing. The Butler Pennsylvania
assassination attempt on President Trump, left wing or right wing
left wing. The Trump International West Palm Beach assassination attempt
left wing, The Abundant Life Christian School shooting left wing,

(11:25):
the United Care CEO's murder left wing, Tesla's burned key damage,
firebomb left wing, left wing, the murders at the Israeli
is Embassy left wing, the Ice facilities, firebomb left wing,
the Minnesota Catholic school shooting left wing, the anti white
Charlotte in North Carolina stabbing left wing, the attempted Utah
News state firebombing left wing, and now, of course, the

(11:47):
culmination of this file trend, a left wing assassination of
president or of Charlie Kirk. So, don't give me this
both sides. If we want to get to unity, let's
be honest. Let's be honest. Free speech, yes, political violence, know, but.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Let's be.

Speaker 7 (12:05):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (12:05):
Ryan.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
I mean that says it all, doesn't it.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
I mean, what a bunch of hohwy this like both
sides stuff. It's so evident right now where the problem lies.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
Yeah, if I may too, because it's the perfect dovetail
to follow up. There was an iconic exchange between Greg
Guttfeld on Fox News and Jessica Tarlof And I'm right
where Greg is here for you people out there that
know that I have a very tight filter on my
language and profanity when hosting this program, or when on

(12:35):
the mic with you, Heidi, or with Dan, but in
a bar over a beer, I would sound a lot
like Greg Guttfeld here with no beeps.

Speaker 9 (12:41):
What is interesting here is why is only this happening
on the left and not the right.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
That's all we need to know about. There was absolutely
no call you want to talk about Mliss Horseman.

Speaker 7 (12:53):
Did you know her name before it happened?

Speaker 5 (12:55):
None of us did.

Speaker 9 (12:56):
None of us were spending every single day talking about
missus Hortman.

Speaker 5 (13:00):
I never heard of her until after she died.

Speaker 9 (13:02):
Matter, don't play that bull with me.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
You know what I'm talking.

Speaker 9 (13:07):
What I'm saying is there was no demonization amplification about
that woman before she died. It was a specific crime
against her by somebody who knew her.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
The same thing.

Speaker 9 (13:17):
You can bring up Joshua Piro, but then you will
not bring up, for example, that that was a pro
palaestide person.

Speaker 5 (13:22):
So don't use your what about this?

Speaker 9 (13:25):
The fact, the fact of the matter is the both
sides argument not only doesn't.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
Fly, we don't care. We don't care.

Speaker 9 (13:34):
About your both sides argument.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
That is dead.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
And Ryan, I don't know if you saw this today.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
This was shocking to me, but it kind of goes
along the same thread this Operation Arctic Frost, where Chuck
I think it was Chuck Grassley exposed that ninety two
Republican groups, including Turning Point, were targeted.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
I think it was.

Speaker 2 (13:56):
The FBI, the CIA, something like political operations against these groups.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Ninety two of them. I think the R and C
was in there.

Speaker 2 (14:06):
And we use a technology platform, a conservative technology platform.

Speaker 4 (14:09):
I know the founder well, Brad, and that.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Was on the list, Like it's every list for what though,
targeting for what the government was investigating, like launching investigations
into these.

Speaker 7 (14:22):
Groups wesonizing of the DOJ. Is that what we were talking
about here? Yes?

Speaker 2 (14:25):
Wea oh wow, okay, And so they opened all of
that material up today. I'll get some more information to
talk about it tomorrow. But it made my jaw drop
to the ground when I heard the the you know,
the testimony. It was just like, how do they get
away with this? When are people going to go to jail?

(14:46):
Like that is the only way this is going to stop?
And I think so many on our side are just frustrated,
like would somebody end up in handcuff somebody somewhere well.

Speaker 7 (14:57):
In addition to that, I was having this conversation with
Rospaglaci earlier in that not only do I feel like
we're not playing by the same set of rules as
the left and their moral flexibility on political assassinations and violence,
I don't even think we're playing the same sport. Listen
to this from William Lagenes Fox.

Speaker 10 (15:13):
News, and researchers say that legitimizes political violence too. New
reports say there's this growing tolerance, especially among the young
and the political left, for violent acts. Example, fifty percent
who self identify as progressive said killing Elon Musk can
be partially justified. What fifty six percent felt the same

(15:36):
way about President Trump. In fact, fourteen percent said a
murder could be completely justified. Fifty nine percent on the
center left said destroying a Tesla dealership was somewhat acceptable.
So where's the hate coming from? Well, Rutgers researchers found
the platform Blue Sky, which is a Democrat alternative to

(15:57):
X quote, plays a significant and predictive role in simplifying
or excuse me, amplifying radical ideas.

Speaker 11 (16:04):
The left really has much more of a I don't
talk to you, I don't want to deal with you,
your deplorable I can't break bread with you. Yeah, well,
that attitude and like all the right wingers, they don't
have that attitude.

Speaker 10 (16:23):
So a separate u dot Gov survey found that after
the killing of Charlie Kirk, seventy two percent of Americans.

Speaker 3 (16:30):
Said violence is never justified.

Speaker 10 (16:31):
The eleven percent said it can sometimes be justified.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
But get this.

Speaker 10 (16:37):
Among self identified liberals, twenty one percent political violence says
it again sometimes be justified, compared to just four and
a half percent of conservatives.

Speaker 7 (16:47):
Twenty one percent of liberals to four and a half
percent of conservatives believe political violence is justified.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
That's one in five, Heidi on.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
The left, Well, and did you see the text message exchanges.
I think you were on the radio when this came
out between the killer and his boyfriend girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
Whatever did I put it to that? Off? Do you
have that right there? I'll bring that into you or
that's break.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
So get this, the killer says, I did it. If
you believe this, this is so weird.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
It's just I don't necessarily buy into all this stuff yet,
like something's off about it.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
But if you take it for face value, the killer.

Speaker 2 (17:23):
Says to his lover. I had to do it because
or no, he said this to his mom. One or
the other are both. He said I had to do
it because Charlie Kirk was so hateful, he said such
hateful things. Oh so I'm gonna blow your head off
because you're hateful and.

Speaker 7 (17:39):
Like Heidi, that's the end justifies the means that we
just heard about William jet lageness there that they view
it as by any means necessary. And Charlie Kirk is evil,
He's a Nazi, he's a fascist.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
And what do you do.

Speaker 7 (17:52):
You punch a fascist in the face, You shoot him
in the neck, you take him out.

Speaker 3 (17:56):
And the end justifies the means.

Speaker 7 (17:57):
There's way too many on the left that greenlight that,
that wink and nod at that, that implicitly or explicitly
approve of that, that celebrate it online. We're talking about teachers, nurses,
doctors that are saying Charlie Kirk got what was coming
to him. These are evil, vile, soulless, godless people and
you cannot reason with them.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
I'm with you, Ryan, I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
This is Heidigan All filling in for Dan Caples with
my friend Ryan, and we are fired up we'll see
after the break.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
You're listening to the Dan Capless Show podcast.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
This is Heidigan All filling in for Dan Caples. Glad
to be here with you. There's a lot of important
things is going on right now. And in just a minute,
we're going to talk to my friend Priscilla Ron about
her decision to leave the teachers union.

Speaker 4 (19:08):
And she's a teacher.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
She's been a teacher for a long time and been
in the school system for a long time. And you know,
there are so many issues going on with our schools.
And yesterday you heard me talk about the Durango Dirty
Dozen or the twelve ways that Durango's schools are going
off the rails, and we did number nine today.

Speaker 4 (19:27):
I'll have to find it and read it to you, guys.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
But it's all about being let's see, letting students choose
which bathroom they want to use, and parents.

Speaker 4 (19:38):
Don't really have any say in that. The kids get
to decide.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
And the common theme with most of these issues in
the school situation with Durango is that the parents are
left out of the conversation.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
And I just don't accept that as a parent.

Speaker 2 (19:52):
I don't think that staff members or administrators even though
I adore my kids teachers that they know better than me.
So you know, I just I have a real problem
with that, and we're trying to expose that and just
ask for sanity to come back.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
Like can you just talk to the.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Parents if a kid says he wants to be a
different gender, if a kid wants to you know, I
don't know, there's so many things, use a different bathroom,
go on a trip, and stay in a locker room
with a different gender as well.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Like, it's just it's not okay.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
It doesn't sit well with me, and it doesn't sit
well with most parents from polling. And this is, you know,
a hot topic in Colorado because we are very very
open to transgender sexuality, gender neutrality, I guess they call it.
And we're an abortion tourism state. We just were not

(20:48):
a very child friendly state here Colorado, and unfortunately we
don't have a lot of control in the legislature or
in the upper levels of government to change things.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
We can try ballot initiatives, which we are.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
We've got Protect car Out of Kids and Aaron Lee's
initiative to get some things done on the ballot initiatives,
but overall, it's up to you parents to go in
front of the school board and voice your opinions, tell
them how you think it should go. And stay relentless
about that, stay consistent, go every single meeting and speak

(21:25):
up and record your video and put it online for
people to see, to give other people courage.

Speaker 4 (21:32):
To speak up and to do the same thing.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
And as I talk to people about how to get involved,
how to change things in Colorado, I have to keep
reminding everyone all politics is local, like you've got to
get involved at the local level, at the school board level,
county commissioner, city council. There's tons of boards and commissions
in every city and every county that have openings right now,

(21:57):
and those are mostly appointed and if there's a vacancy,
he asked to be appointed. And finally, get to know
your local political party, even if you're not a registered Republican,
which don't sit on the fence anymore, you guys, none
of this unaffiliated stuff. Just pick a side and if
you lane conservative, reregister with the party. Give it a

(22:18):
shot for this next election for twenty twenty six. Get
to know your county party, get to know your precinct
chair in your neighborhood that's your like your cheerleader in
your neighborhood, and just find out how you can help.
So let's go to Priscilla Ron. I believe she's on
the line right now. Priscilla, Welcome to the show.

Speaker 12 (22:38):
Great to be on with you, Heidi.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
Thanks so much for joining us.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Priscilla, you've been doing some interesting work lately talking about
the teachers' union and how it affects our children. Tell
us more about the book you just launched, and I
know you just wrote an article for Rocky Mountain Voice
that's out today as well.

Speaker 12 (22:57):
So my book is titled be Staring Education in America,
An Inspirational Teacher Toolbox, and it's my thirty two years
of wisdom as a classroom teacher and a school principle.
I just decided it was time for me to create
a tool for teachers that was the antithesis of all

(23:17):
of the quote unquote PD professional development that we've been getting,
all the CRT and DEI that has not been servicing
our students the way they intended it to do service
our students. I mean, we can just look at the
educational outcomes and see we still have an education gap
and an economic gap. And what inspired me to really

(23:40):
get it done was in February when President Trump signed
his two executive orders to n DEI and reduce the
size of the Department of Education. I thought, this is
the time for me to get this tool into the
hands of teachers.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
So how does a teacher find the courage to stand
up against the teachers union?

Speaker 4 (24:00):
Insila, it's so scary.

Speaker 12 (24:04):
Well, I think people should know I wasn't just a
member of the teachers Union. I was a leader in
the teachers union. I was the treasurer of the teachers
Union and then I was appointed secretary. I was on
both the political action committees for the local Denver Teachers
Union and the state CEA Teachers Union. I went to

(24:24):
NEA and I was all involved at the highest levels
of the teachers Union for twenty eight years. And it
was two years ago that I decided to walk away
because I had tried so.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
Hard to.

Speaker 12 (24:41):
Move the needle a different direction than we were going
and to say, hey, we're not focusing on developing master teachers,
We're focusing on all kinds of things that have nothing
to do with the classroom and putting kids first. And
after trying to make a difference. I decided my my
dues dollars were better served somewhere else.

Speaker 2 (25:02):
Wow, you know, Priscilla, I think I live in Douglas County.
I believe you do too, and we have pretty good
schools there. They're succeeding. They're better than other places. I
should say. It's still not awesome. And I still hear
stories about how the union is pushing everybody around. I think,

(25:23):
doesn't Douglas County. They don't have a contract with the
union right now, correct, correct?

Speaker 12 (25:28):
Not anymore? That ended several years ago.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
And one of the things like st bargaining, Like the
people running for school board right now on the left
are running with the Teachers' union's endorsement and asking for
collective bargaining to come back, for the teachers' union to
come back.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
And you know, Douglas County isn't as red as it
used to be. They could flip this school board.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
So how's that going to play out in the election.
Do you think that voters will be okay.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
With that or not?

Speaker 5 (25:56):
Well?

Speaker 12 (25:56):
What I think voters need to understand is that the
Teachers' Union is it's a power play, right, more than
ninety percent of their money goes to Democrat left wing candidates.
And so if the Democrats or the teachers' union can
get their candidates into office, and that means their agenda
will be pushed and all the things that we see

(26:18):
that are not working in city schools, they're going to
bring that into a conservative county like Douglas County that's
one of the top performing counties without a collective bargaining
teachers union. So it's not like not having a teachers
union has hurt the school district. We have thrived despite that.

(26:40):
And so what would end up happening if these four
candidates got on the school board is they will be
beholden to the teachers, not beholden to parents, not behold
into students because students are not collecting their money together
to put a candidate into office. And we know in
politics the candidates can't help themselves but to prioritiz the

(27:00):
people who put money in their pockets. And so this
is this is a big problem in school districts where
candidates will listen to teachers and what teachers want versus
what parents and students need.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Well, thank you, Priscilla, thanks for weighing in real quick.
We have to go to break. But how do people
find you and buy your book?

Speaker 12 (27:21):
If you can find me at Priscilla ron dot com
or you can find my book Restoring Education in America
on Amazon.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Well, thank you so much for joining us today, Priscilla.
Good luck with everything and keep fighting that good fight
and setting a good example for teachers and students and parents.
This is Heidigan All filling in for Dan Kaplis. We
will be right back after the break to talk more.

Speaker 3 (27:46):
And now back to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast.

Speaker 13 (27:49):
An alleged murder with such specific text messages about the
alleged murder weapon, where it was hidden, how it was placed,
what was on it.

Speaker 5 (27:59):
But also it was very touching in a way that
I think many of us didn't expect, a.

Speaker 13 (28:02):
Very intimate portrait into this relationship between the suspect's roommate
and the suspect himself, with him repeatedly calling his roommate,
who was transitioning, calling him my love and I want
to protect you, my love.

Speaker 5 (28:17):
So it was this duality of someone.

Speaker 13 (28:18):
Who the attorney said, not only jeopardized the life of
Charlie Kirk and the crowd, but was doing it in
front of children, which is one of the aggravating.

Speaker 5 (28:26):
Circumstances of this case.

Speaker 13 (28:27):
And on the other hand, he was speaking so lovingly
about his partner, so very interesting, as Pierre said, riveting
press confince David, that.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Is so sick and wrong. Ryan, Oh my.

Speaker 3 (28:39):
God, I can't even I can't. That was so sickening
and disgusting.

Speaker 7 (28:46):
And how do you paint this picture of Well, on
the one hand, he's a really passionate lover and.

Speaker 3 (28:51):
He was loved.

Speaker 7 (28:53):
Could you imagine back in the day a reporter talking
about Lee Harvey Oswald that way with his known lover
at the time, or John Hinckley and his affection for
Jody Foster which motivated him to try to assassinate President
Reagan and impress her.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
That happened, by the.

Speaker 7 (29:10):
Way, that is factual, historical fact. And now is it
because this guy is so predisposed as a left and to.

Speaker 3 (29:17):
Go, wow, he is trans or he loves a transform.

Speaker 7 (29:19):
Therefore we have to paint this in some kind of
positive light, even though he's a cold blooded killer, Ted Bundy,
I pick one.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
I mean, Ryan, this reminds me of the craziness with
Kyle Clark. We were talking about yesterday, how it went
from there's no ferries too, well, there are furries. Well,
he he's a bully because she she's mean to them.
It's like it's the same little passive aggressive bs that
the media does with us. I want to read you
a text I just got from a listener who sent

(29:48):
me a screenshot from Yellow Scene magazine.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
Have you ever heard this up in near Boulder County?

Speaker 3 (29:54):
Yes? I can only imagine.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Yeah, it's it's not friendly to us. Nope, but it's
a very popular magazine up there. I used to live
in Superior and everybody gets this magazine. The editor literally
posts imagine that half masked for a Nazi the day
that Charlie.

Speaker 7 (30:12):
You know, there's so many swear words that want to
come out of my mouth right now.

Speaker 4 (30:16):
This is like an editor of a big magazine up
in the Devermentar area. Do you see Polis saying that's
not okay? Like stand down.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Advertisers should be running like crazy away from this magazine.

Speaker 7 (30:29):
Even Bill Maher, who is a classical liberal, said to
somebody like that this.

Speaker 8 (30:36):
I might drink a little more than usual today because
I mean, I don't know when this is airing, but
this is a day because a guy who sat there.
Charlie Kirk got shot today, and I can't stop thinking
about it, and.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
And we shouldn't.

Speaker 8 (30:50):
And if you're on the other side of the political
divide and you don't care because the wrong team guy
got shot, deal, you're what's wrong with this kind?

Speaker 5 (31:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (31:01):
Yeah, God bless Bill Maher.

Speaker 3 (31:03):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
I never thought i'd say that.

Speaker 7 (31:06):
And Billy Corgan, who is the lead singer for Smashing Pumpkins,
he calls himself a free market libertarian capitalist, which a
lot better than you're gonna get from a lot of
those singers like Bruce Springsteen, John Mellencamp, et cetera. But
you could see the look on Billy's face like this
is a somber moment, both of them, neither of them conservatives, necessarily,
especially Bill Maher, but they understood, they got it in

(31:27):
the moment.

Speaker 3 (31:27):
The humanity of this, it's terrible.

Speaker 7 (31:30):
And for this bolder publication, I mean, the only explanation
along the Dan Caplis lines would be the wow, they're
high as a kite, right, did they consume a lot
of the marijuana?

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (31:44):
Right? And you know that's where But that's the only
thing that would explain that.

Speaker 7 (31:49):
Absolutely beat blank take and I've really got to filter
myself right now, so many words like I.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Said, I have the screenshot right here, unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (32:00):
I want to ask.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Any Democrat friends who are listening, any progressives, any liberals,
whatever label you want to put on yourself, call us
after the text, I mean, after the break, call us
at three O three seven one three A two five five.
I want to understand if you, if you empathize with
any of this.

Speaker 7 (32:17):
Please let's do a little thought experiment here, especially for
our audience. You can play along at home. For Heidi,
who is the political figure in the left, could be
anybody that you have the most disdain for.

Speaker 3 (32:30):
Let's just start right there, filling a name.

Speaker 4 (32:34):
Yeah, it could be anybody who's yours.

Speaker 3 (32:37):
Oh, there's a lot. Let me just go Jasmine Crockett
right now.

Speaker 4 (32:41):
Yes, he's looney.

Speaker 7 (32:42):
God forbid anything anything violent happened to her, threats be
made toward her, anybody in her family. I would condemn
it outright. That's the difference between them and us.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
Right now.

Speaker 7 (32:56):
I'm sorry, there are too many, like Greg Gottfeld will say,
there are two many like you just cited people on
the left right now that are either soft pedaling this
crap somehow justifying it, legitimizing it, rationalizing it, equivocating it,
celebrating it, putting it out on social media, dropping the mask,
not even pretending anymore that no, like you just said,

(33:18):
Charlie Kirk was a Nazi. U like, oh, so we're
just going to kill our political opponents? Now what is
this Columbia? What's going on here? Columbian neckties? Or next?

Speaker 3 (33:26):
What are you doing here? This is America.

Speaker 7 (33:28):
We don't kill our political opponents, no matter how much
we despise them.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Am I the crazy one here? I feel like I'm
on crazy bills?

Speaker 5 (33:35):
You know?

Speaker 2 (33:36):
I'd love to get on tomorrow to talk about this.
Oh Jared Poulus, let's try and get the governor on.

Speaker 3 (33:41):
He would just fill a buster and I want to
hear it.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
I know, but I learned how to debate him. Ryan,
I'll figure it out.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
If anybody knows it's you, Oh.

Speaker 4 (33:50):
Gosh, yuck. Okay, So I went.

Speaker 3 (33:53):
I had a truck though, you know you remember that?

Speaker 4 (33:55):
Yeah, you're terrible. You drive a Tuesla. I'm like, don't
you want me to?

Speaker 3 (33:59):
What are you? Was so weird?

Speaker 7 (34:02):
Oh my god, I just chortled when I watched that
part of that. Do I dramp an F one fifty
American truck?

Speaker 3 (34:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:08):
He oh piece of work. Wait why wait till.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
We see Bennett or Wiser debates whoever? We get on
this on our side up there managed Michael Bennett.

Speaker 3 (34:23):
In the mountains, there were people water.

Speaker 4 (34:28):
You're on a tear today. I love it?

Speaker 2 (34:30):
All right, all right, before the break, I want to
tell you about Operation Arctic Frost. I looked it up,
so in total, ninety two Republican targets, groups and individuals
on the political list was Charlie Kirk's group turning point
and the Frost. Arctic Frost wasn't just a case to
politically investigate Trump. It was the vehicle by which partisan

(34:51):
FBI agents and Department of Justice prosecutors could achieve their
partisan ends and improperly investigate the entire Republican political apparatus.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
Do you think anyone will go to jail over this?

Speaker 3 (35:04):
I'll believe it when I see it.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
I'll stew over the break on that the society and
all filling in for Dan Kaplis will see you after
the top of the out
