President Trump seems perfectly willing to accept the gift of a new airplane to replace the 40-plus-year-old current version of Air Force One, but Dan doesn't think it's a good idea to be indebted in any way to a country with such sketchy associations to terrorist groups.

Rep. Brandi Bradley (R-39) joins Dan to recap the end of a chaotic and concerning spring session of the General Assembly, including Democrats blocking her bill to ensure child rapists serve jail time.

Rep Brandi Bradley on X: "I am honored that @WallStreetApes is publicizing what happened to my bill that the house Judiciary Democrats killed!!!! For all of the victims who had to wait until 1 AM to testify because the Democrats kept playing games, thank you @WallStreetApes for posting this!!!!!" / X

Speaker 2 (00:14):
What on Mother's Day weekend? I mean, I can't remember.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
It couldn't be more beautiful than this weekend was absolutely perfect.
Hope you had a great one three oh three someone
three eight two five five. Then number that's three oh
three seven to one three eight two five five text
d an five seven seven three nine.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
So wow, Wow, Trump.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Have we seen a president on a roll this early
in his first term a role like this? And obviously,
you know anything any human process, you're gonna have some
ups and downs, but my goodness, he is just lighting
it up and uh, you know the occasional miss you.
But it probably wouldn't be any fun if he was
absolutely perfect. So we're going to get into all of
that today and some special guests locally as well as

(00:58):
obviously that the Colorado legis now complete, unless god forbid
they come back into a special session. Has done a
ton of damage and now we're waiting to see if
police will veto some of the worst, so we'll dig
into that throughout the show as well.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Where do you want to start? I mean, how do
we not start with the jet? Huh?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
With the gift from Cutter? Now, Ryan, we should just
settle this right now. Do you say Qatar? Do you
say Cutter? I mean you hear a thousand different versions
of this. This is one topic on which I happened
to be a firsthand expert.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
I was going to say, you were there, and I
heard it the way you heard it, the way I
believe it's correct, which is why my Katar gently.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Weeps qutar yes guitar, yes, tar like guitar.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
And the reason it's the reason I'm a bit of
an expert on this is I ended up there, accidentally
ended up there but on our anniversary.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Which was kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
We weren't supposed to be there, but all sorts of
flight issues and everything else, and we ended up in
Qatar on July three of twenty twenty three. So yeah,
very memorable evening. But nice airport hotel and they do
call themselves Katar figured that out while we were there.
But in any case, what do you think I've been
dying to get your take on this because I can.

(02:15):
I think I have a good feel after decades on there,
I think I have a good feel for where the
audience is going to come down on different issues. This one,
I'm not quite sure, you know. President Trump says, yeah,
We're going to accept this jet from Qatar, this you know,
jet to use this air force one worth about four
hundred million dollars. Some of Trump's staunches supporters say, hey,

(02:38):
they take a bullet for Trump, but this is dead wrong.
Others say, like Trump says, hey, you know, don't look
a gift horse in the mouth.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Now.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I don't know if you're a golf or not, but
he used this really remarkable Sam snead analogy and explaining
why he intended to accept this gift from Qatar.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
You know those an all golfer named Samson. Did you
ever hear one ad?

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Two term miss was a great golflin and he had
a motto, when they give you a putt, you say
thank you very much, you pick up your ball, and you.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
Walk to the next hole. A lot of people are stupid.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
They say no, no, I ins just start putting it
and then they put it and they miss it and
their partner gets.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Angry at them.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
You know what, remember that, Sam Steve, when.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
They give you a putt, you pick it up and
you walk to the next hole and you say thank
you very much.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Yeah, sorry for me working at this, And say, have
you ever been given a gift worth millions of dollars
and an occasion?

Speaker 5 (03:34):
Not a gift to me, It's a gift to the
Department of Defense? And you should know better because you've
been embarrassed enough, and so has your network.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
Your network is a disaster. ABC is a disaster.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
He was in real form, but the beauty is I
think he's just going to keep being in more and
more rare form throughout the presidency, particularly as these successes continue.
So what do you think should should the US accept?
Should the Department of Defense except this quote gift? And
I'll explain why I put it in quotes from Qatar?
And the reason I put it in quotes is there

(04:08):
are no free lunches, right, I mean, Katar is offering
this four hundred millions the number we've heard.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
You know, aircraft.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
You can't really describe it as anything in particular other
than a specialized aircraft. They're offering that aircraft because they
expect something in return, right, some kind of benefit, not
from the president personally. It's not like and he was
right to snap at that ABC reporter. This isn't a
jet for him, This is not a gift to him, right,

(04:38):
and the irony of that, right when ABC in the
left have stood up for so many obviously corrupt politicians.
I mean, whether you can prove it in court today
or not to the point of getting a felony conviction.
Is there any real doubt about the corruption of Joe Biden?
And all they did was cover that up. All they
did was and I'm not aware of any solid evidence

(04:59):
whatso ever of any kind of corruption on the part
of President Trump. So, yeah, that was nasty stuff from
AABC and I'm glad that he snapped. But what about
us as a nation because I got to tell you
right now before I even play any of this sound,
I don't like it. I don't want it, I don't
want it to happen. I'm optimistic that the President will
reverse himself on this. Ryan, do you think he's just

(05:21):
having a little fun with this, just kind of pulling
the chain a little bit.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Do you think he really intends to do it, to
do what to accept this, this aircraft from Qatar?

Speaker 3 (05:29):
I mean, sure sounds serious about it on behalf of
the Department of Defense, right, they've been waiting, not just.

Speaker 2 (05:34):
Four years, Dan eight years. I'm bowing to make air
force one. I don't care. Yeah, we are not a
begger nation. No, we are not a begger nation.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
I don't want this aircraft and I don't want the
Trump administration.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
To accept it. So do you think he's just pulling
chains right now? I don't think he's gonna pay for it.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
And that was the point that he was making was
we got a lot of favors for these countries in
the Middle East. We've kept them safe and secure, including
Guitar Saudi Arabia, others from Iranian aggression. It's our presence
in that region that keeps them safe. So yeah, I
disagree a little bit. I'm okay, they want to give
us a plane. Okay, you're not getting anything else for it.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
Give us cash if you want to say, hey, we're
grateful to the United States for the security blanket it
provides to the world, because let's face a, Qatar has
supported an awful lot of terrorism and it's hard to
meet a venture far from I can't remember who said
this the other day, but you know, Jajahatis and suits, right,

(06:31):
I don't think there should be any illusions.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
And don't get me wrong. You know the night in
the airport.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Hotel thereon Qatar, it was beautiful and the airport was beautiful,
and flying over it, it looked like it'd be a
fun place to hang out. But let's not be under
any illusions regarding support for Hamas, for example.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
So all I'm.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Saying is if Qatar wants to send the US for
four hundred million in cash saying thank you for what
to do for the world, I'm okay with that. But
in no way, shape or form am I okay with
our air Force one being a gift from Qatar part
of its pride, right, isn't part of it pride? Ryan?
Isn't that part of you know, pride in America? Pride

(07:09):
and being an American Air Force one. I mean, it's
a symbol, right, But there's no way in the world
our air Force one should be a gift from Qatar.

Speaker 3 (07:19):
One thing that I pride ourselves on here, Dan is
that you and I speak very fluent Trump and that
includes his business transactions. Here's what I could see absolutely happening.
He puts this out there, He embarrasses Boeing. They've been
dragging their feet. Yeah, and all of a sudden, Yeah,
they start constructing a brand new Air Force one.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
See that's good thinking. I think there's some other play
at work here. Here's what the President says.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
Has Cutter asked for anything in exchange for that four
hundred million dollar luxury jumbo jet And how can the
American people be so sure that they will not in
the future.

Speaker 5 (07:52):
Well, I think what happens with the plane is that,
you know, we're very disappointed that it's taken Boeing so
long to build a new Air Force one. You know,
we have an air Force one that's forty years old,
and if you take a look at that compared to
the new plane of the equivalent stature at the time.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
It's not even the same ballgame.

Speaker 5 (08:08):
You look at some of the Arab countries and the
planes they have parked alongside of the United States of
America plane, it's like from a different planet and it's
close to forty years old, might be more than forty
years old.

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Now, Yeah, maybe that's his play, is pressure on Boeing, right,
But I don't think the American people want and I
don't think we should have an air force one that
was given to us by Katar. Now let me ask
you this as we open it up to calls and text.
Is there any nation that you would accept it from
that you would accept it from? And let's take that

(08:44):
into the next break. Let's think about that for a second.
But not only a no, A hades know if it
wasn't a family show, a much stronger no to having
an air force, one provided by a nation that has
supported Hamas no blanket way that ain't gonna fly.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
You're on the Dankaplas Show and now back to the
dan Kaplas Show podcast.

Speaker 4 (09:09):
I think guitar, who.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
Has really we've helped them a lot over the years
in terms of security and safety.

Speaker 4 (09:16):
I filth I think that and very very nicely, and
I have.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
A lot of respect for the leadership and for the
leader guitar, and I think they very nice.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
They knew about it because they buy Boeings.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
They buy a lot of Boeings, and they knew about it,
and they said, we would like to do something and
if we can get a seven forty seven as a
contribution to our defense department to use during a couple
of years while they're building the other ones.

Speaker 4 (09:46):
I think that was a very nice gesture.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Wow, So what do you think is the President being
serious about this? Is he as Ryan suggests?

Speaker 1 (09:54):
I think very wisely, you know, just trying to use
this to put pressure on Boeing. What do you think
do you think the US should be accepting this four
hundred million dollar quote gift from Qatar? And is there
some nation that you think it would be okay to
accept that kind of quote gift from I do? I mean, listen,

(10:14):
if this was France, right, like the Statue of Liberty,
this time it's going to be the next Air Force one.
If it's France giving us this four hundred million dollar aircraft,
I'd be okay with that because clearly that would be
a genuine gesture of thanks for the freedom of France
and the rest of Europe respect that and you could

(10:36):
look at that symbol with pride taking Air Force one
from Qatar.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
No way on any level, but hey love to have
some disagreement.

Speaker 1 (10:46):
Three oh three someone three eight two five five text
d An five seven seven three nine Dad on the plane?
Why would anyone accept a free home security system from
a known felon, Trump is negotiating to get a US
company to step up.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
I think you are right. I think Ryan's right about that.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
Dan.

Speaker 1 (11:05):
How does taking this monstrosity of a plane not be
looked at as a bribe? Well, it cannot be looked
at as a bribe because a bribe would have to
mean a bribe to President Trump. And while he would
arguably get some benefit from being on a better aircraft
for a few years, do you.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Really think that's what's motivating. I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
If this guy wanted a life of comfort, Ryan, and
I think this is one of the truly inspirational things
about President Trump is you know, it goes back to
that thing my mama taught me from the day we
were born, and I'm sure your mama did too. You know,
we were not made for comfort, We were made for courage.
President Trump could have easily had to continued his life

(11:46):
of comfort, but instead, you know, he jumps into this
meat grinder in order to serve Yeah. No, I don't
believe for one second that he's willing or wants to
do this so he has a better plane to try
for a few years. I mean, Air Force one is
still pretty good.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Right. Have you ever been on it, my friend, I
have not been on it.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
No, I am not not expecting an invite any times I.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
Would accept it.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Invite I would too. But no, this is not just
depending on who it's from really anybody.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
I mean, it could be it could have been Joe Biden.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
And if the President of the United States says, hey,
I want to have a conversation, well I'm going to
go have a conversation.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Respect for the office.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
But and it's got to be decent food, right yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
So yeah, it can't be a bribe.

Speaker 1 (12:32):
It's not like it's a bribe to Trump and you
can't really bribe a nation. So I don't get the
bribe thing. Please do follow up if you think I'm
missing something there.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
So let me.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
You're having a big problem because of who it is
originating from the gift Katar. Would this be similar to
one of my favorite shows, The Sopranos, Like Tony Soprano goes, hey,
I got you a new boat, I got you a
new car, and what are you thinking?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
I take it?

Speaker 2 (12:58):
And then now you're what you beholden to? Thomas soprano.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
Sure, No, every kind of thing, everything about it is
so wrong, right, including that vibe, including that kind of
impression that it's got to be what you're saying. This
has to be Trump working Boeing or Trump working some
other angle, because you know, listen, Trump's human. He makes mistakes,

(13:22):
and I do want to talk about the one of
those in a couple of minutes. But the plus column,
he has so much more in the plus column than
anybody else we can think of, right, And sometimes when
it looks like it's making a mistakes, he's actually working
an angle.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Not always. He's human.

Speaker 1 (13:38):
Every now and then he just flat makes a mistake.
Like Ryan, I think that the President made a mistake
with the pope meme, right, remember when he had this
meme he reposted or whatever where it made him look
like the pope. I think it was a mistake, And yeah,
I wish he hadn't done it. It's just that simple.
And every now and then he makes a mistake. But

(14:01):
half the things that people call mistakes are really him
working an angle, and it becomes clear later not the
Pope meme, that was just wrong. Family, No, let's put
it in perspective. Go ahead, you seem worked.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
Up over this.

Speaker 3 (14:13):
Well, I have a real problem with the fake outrage
about the Trump Pope from the left. That's what I'm
talking about, who demonizes the Catholic Church, the priests, everybody
else at every turn. Then all of a sudden they're like,
oh on behalf of Catholics everywhere, we're offended for you.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
No, no, I mean, and that's what I've said before, right,
which is and that was going to be my next sense.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Listen, it was wrong. Shouldn't have done.

Speaker 1 (14:37):
It, you know, when you're talking about the pope and
you're talking about that position within the Catholic Church and
what it means and everything else. Yeah, I think that
was a step too far with the humor. I wish
he hadn't done it. But then you put that against
the fact that he has been the best president for
Catholics in my lifetime, bar not and probably exponent So

(15:00):
can any of us think of any other president, even
going back to JFK.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
And obviously it was groundbreaking for.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
JFK to win, but I think by multiples, President Trump
has been the best president for Catholics in our lifetime and.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
For lots of other people as well.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
But when you want to talk about Catholics and religious
liberty and religious freedom and the right to life. He's
been the best pro life president of our lifetime. Catholic teaching,
very very good, big and blessed are the peacemakers. Yeah,
there can be just wars, but blessed are the peacemakers.
And President Trump, among presidents, I think, has probably been
the biggest peacemaker.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
You know.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Obviously Reagan accomplished quite a lot as well. So no, no,
and so there's so much in the plus column when
it comes to President Trump and Catholics. But we've got
to be honest when he makes a mistake, and I
think that meme was a mistake, But Catholic appreciation for him,
Catholic support for him, I think is going to remain

(15:59):
very high because of all the concrete, tangible things he
has done and showing his respect by going to the
Pope's funeral and then all the tremendous comments after we
have our first American pope.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
So now far and away, can you think, Ryan, can
you think?

Speaker 1 (16:12):
And I'd like to open this up to listeners, whether
they're Catholic or not, has there been another president, let's say,
in the last seventy years.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
Were brought in into one hundred. Has there been another
president who has been even half as good for Catholics
as Trump? I don't think so.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
No.

Speaker 1 (16:32):
I just wish he hadn't done the meme Kennedy himself,
Oh that was kind of breakthrough stuff. But no, if
you talk about practical interest of Catholics, like hey, being
able to practice your faith without being thrown in jail, Yeah,
John Kennedy didn't face those issues, right. He faced a
lot in winning the office, but not on but the
concrete issues.

Speaker 2 (16:52):
You were a little guy, But you remember John F. Kennedy.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
One of the big kind of Apple research kind of
blasts against him.

Speaker 2 (17:00):
Is he going to answer to the pulpe in rome? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (17:03):
I was too young to remember all that stuff, right,
But you're right. I've read about that later and it
was in there. I was thinking about that this morning.
How his response to that was if there was a conflict,
he would resign the office and be true to his faith.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
That had been his response.

Speaker 1 (17:17):
But you're right, he had to overcome a really big,
real climber, really tall mountain in order to win that.
And get some help from Dick Daily in Chicago, Yeah,
but anyway, I'm glad. I'm glad JFK was president, but
now Trump by far and away, the very best president

(17:37):
for Catholics. And yeah, sometimes as humor goes too far,
and sometimes mine does too, and Ryans doys too, and
then you just have to admit it, though I can't
remember the last time yours did. Ohne definitely does way
too far. Dan, the plane is an air Force one
unless the president is on it. Therefore, we're just accepting
an airplane to go into our defense system, and what.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
They do with it from there is up to the
US Air Force.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
Yeah, but the whole idea is he's going to be
it's going to become our air Force one. I want
to do one more segment on this. We have a
lot more to do, but I'm really fired up on this.
Oh my goodness, is she next? Oh you're going to
love this.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
Represented Brandy Bradley is going to be with us after
the break.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
She has stood up heroically against these insidious efforts of
the left to strip away parental freedoms and impose more
of this abuse on kids. So she'll join us after
the break on the Dan Kapla show.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
You're listening to the Dan Kaplis Show podcast. Even my
wife loves that song the classic.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah boy, it is something about that song, right, And
I'm sure our next guest has never heard any reference
to that. Brandy Bradley is our guest. She is a
Colorado State rep. And we are glad that she is
in that fight representative. Welcome back to the Dan Kapla Show.

Speaker 6 (18:54):
Well, thanks for having me. That's quite the intro. I
like it.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Yeah, to get sick of references to that song people,
I can't even imagine what you end up hearing from it.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Brandy, you're a fine girl.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
I mean I've heard a lot worse, so I'll take it.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
Did it work its way like into a marriage proposal
or anything?

Speaker 6 (19:11):
My husband is just not that creative, okay.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
Or he wanted you to say yes one of the two?

Speaker 4 (19:18):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (19:18):
True?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
But yeah, Hey, I was looking at a tweety years
over the weekend and I'm so glad you're hammering on this,
and George Bruckler has been as well. But can somebody
explain why the Coloradoor Democratic Party is so determined to
protect child rapists?

Speaker 2 (19:35):
What's up with that?

Speaker 6 (19:37):
Well, I guess because their friends are teachers. That like
to I don't know rape children. I mean, it seems
like there's a story every week where there's a trusted
adult that is being inappropriate with a child. And that
was in my bill to make sure trusted adults can't
do this to our children anymore. And it seems like,
right every other day, there's another teacher that has done

(19:58):
something like that.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Yeah, present, please explain to people your bill and and
other things that have been going on in the legislature
that just way beyond head scratching. It's wait a second,
these are people who sexually assault children. We should be
throwing the book at them. We should be looking at
the toughest possible penalty. So the message is.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
Sent to the whole world.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
If you're into that kind of obscenity and sickness, don't
come to Colorado because you will lose your freedom.

Speaker 6 (20:26):
Yes, and California has twenty five year sentencing for this.
So if you rape a child in the state of Colorado,
seventy percent of criminals receive probation only. So in the
state of Colorado, you can rape a child. You can
rape ten different children once twice and receive probation. So
my bill, which is a bipartisan sponsored bill in both

(20:49):
the House and the Senate was to take probation sentencing
off the table and give indeterminate sentencing to these criminals.
And the House Democrats said, no, it's not fair to
these criminals to give them and determinate sentencing.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Boy, you know, they just feel like they're electorally immune, right,
that there's no way they can lose their offices no
matter what kind of insane things they do.

Speaker 2 (21:18):
That's the only thing I can think of.

Speaker 6 (21:20):
Well, it seems like narcissistic behavior, doesn't it. I mean,
they kept passing bills the session that would seem that
they're going to strip on federal funding, and they just
continue to poke the bear. And I can't wait until
the bear responds back, to be quite honest.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
With you, And when's that going to be? Because you
look at stuff like thirteen twelve. Do you think the
governor's going to sign that?

Speaker 6 (21:39):
Oh, I think he's going to sign a June first
for the start of Pride. Just you, I think give
the middle finger to the taxpayers of Colorado.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Well, I think you're being generous. I think it's a
double middle finger and maybe a couple of toes. I mean,
you know, to say this to the taxpayers of Colorado. Yeah,
but okay, you think he's going to sign it start
of June. At what point, what is that tipping point
do you think? Are we anywhere close to it yet?
Where the voters of Colorado say hey, And obviously they're

(22:09):
not sure enough yet about the GOP, because anything in
a red Jersey statewide tends to get shot. But at
what point do the voters say no, I just can't
put up with the left anymore. And even if I'm
not sure about the GOP, I can't put up with
the left.

Speaker 6 (22:23):
I think we're there, Dan, I think when seven hundred
people come testify against such an atrocious bill, I think
we've seen that. I mean, even with the Second Amendment violations,
the bills that they brought forward, we did not see
nearly what we saw with thirteen twelve. I think they're there.
I mean, I've gotten so many different emails from liberal
progressive Democrats that have said, we're done in thirteen oh nine.

(22:47):
You know, we haven't even spoken about thirteen oh nine,
which are the elective procedures that now the taxpayers are
going to have to fund so that men can feel
more like women.

Speaker 1 (22:55):
Yeah, can we talk about that a little bit. I'm
really glad you brought that up because I think you know. So,
it's like somebody has a horrific injury in a crash
and it's just just so debilitating. All the focuses on
that while they've got some other huge injury that isn't
getting attention. So tell everybody about thirteen oh nine and
what we're all working so hard right now to be
able to pay for.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
Right, So, thirteen oh nine is going to mandate that
private healthcare insurance plans have to pay for hormone therapy,
facial bone remodeling, cheek, chin, nose and plants, breast augmentation,
you name it, genital and non genital surgical procedures. Anything

(23:37):
that's the medical necessary for a man or anyone the
transgender community to make them feel more whole, we are
now going to be paying for. And guess what no
age limit. I tried to pass the moment to make
sure that anyone under the age of eighteen doesn't receive
this and they said no. So now, taxpayers of Colorado,
you're funding it.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
And I think I can guess the answer. But who
quote medical necessity? Right?

Speaker 6 (24:02):
Behavior therapist or a doctor in the state of Colorado.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Oh yeah, oh my lord, And you know, but you
know you're right, Representative Brandy Bradleyer guests, you know this
issue because we're all so sensitive to these crazy high
health insurance rates and this nonsense says they're going.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
To lower them.

Speaker 1 (24:22):
Maybe this is the sort of thing that cuts through
the noise. But let's go back to thirteen twelve for
a second, because it was so interesting to hear you
say that you got even bigger crowns, bigger response than
even on two A issues.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
And why do you think that is.

Speaker 6 (24:36):
I think that people are tired of the government coming
after their children. And I think it cross those party lines.
I think the unaffiliated, I think liberal feminists, I think atheists.
I think Christians were all just sick of the government
inserting itself into what we do in our private lives.

Speaker 2 (24:56):
Yeah, and am I correct? Am I reading this right?

Speaker 1 (24:59):
That UND thirteen twelve, as you say, is going to
be signed by the governor all of a sudden, Colorado
businesses are going to be in violation of the law
if they're not willing to call.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
A man a woman.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
I didn't know.

Speaker 6 (25:13):
The bill summary is still the same it was inmended
heavily in the Senate. But what we need to understand
is that KADA that Discrimination Act. The new language is
chosen name means the name that an individual request to
be known, and they've added that under gender expression. So
it's any name that does not contain offensive language, and
they request the name for frivolous purposes. So KATA is

(25:36):
any kind of employment, housing, or public accommodation. So think
private schools, now churches. Anything is up for grabs, and
it's up to the court to decide what frivolous purposes mean.
So no one is safe. Businesses, business communities. You guys
are on the hook, now wow.

Speaker 1 (25:55):
So that means, let's say an employee decides to call
themselves something absolutely bizarre and preposterous that that would obviously
make the business look silly.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
You have to sew that name tag onto somebody's shirt.

Speaker 6 (26:11):
You do, or you're gonna, You're gonna it's gonna be
considered anti or discrimination. And the old bill they said
that it was multiple times. In the new bill, it
doesn't say whether it's once, twice or three times. It
is just written into law under caught a under gender expression,
and this is it says everything from creed, color, religion, sex,

(26:37):
sexual orientation. They've added all kinds of different things under here.
So for the media to be going around campaigning that
this is just it's just a simple change, this is.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Not a big deal.

Speaker 6 (26:47):
People need to be aware of. This is very significant,
this bill, and it is a significant change. And the
business community and the churches and the private school sector
needs to be aware of this is a very big change.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Wow. Well, thank you for the good fight that you're
fighting down there. How can people follow you?

Speaker 6 (27:06):
You can go on to any of my social medias
and if you want my newsletter, it's Brandy Bradley for
HD thirty nine. I send it out once a week.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Wonderful. Well, keep up the fight and we'll talk soon. Awesome.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Thanks for having me on, Dan, Thank.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
You, you take care.

Speaker 1 (27:20):
That is a representative Brandy Bradley, as you heard, and
you wonder, I mean, at what point do the people
of Colorado hit the tipping point? And I do think
it's going to take a particular issue right to just
get people past that point. And maybe it is thirteen twelve.
If people knew about thirteen oh nine, and they'll probably
feel it in their insurance rates. Maybe it becomes thirteen

(27:42):
oh nine. But when do you think that will hit,
if at all, Let's hope it's in this cycle. And
you've got a belief that this is going to have
a real effect and already has. Right, all this craziness
on the ability of Colorado to attract great jobs left
seems perfectly fine, you know, creating one hundred thousand new

(28:03):
bud tender jobs. But for people who'd rather have Fortune
one hundred companies and everything that comes with that, yeah,
I mean Ryan imagined. I know we have to s break,
but say you decide to move one of shooling enterprises
Fortune one hundred companies somewhere, You're got to sit down
in the boardroom and say, hey, yeah, let's go to
that state now, right, Let's go to that state.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
Now where we're.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Going to be acting illegally if we won't call a
man a woman, And let's go to that state where
they're after our kids, where where like the law is
after our kids and the law and we've got a
political party out there that appears obsessed with transiting our kids.
And let's go to that state where yeah, we can
raise our kids with all this high potency marijuana all.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Over the place.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
I mean, all these things the left is doing, it
cannot help attract great jobs to Colorado.

Speaker 2 (28:56):
You're on the Dan Capla ship and now back to
the Dan Kaplas Show podcast.

Speaker 5 (29:03):
Now I could be a stupid person say, oh no,
we don't want a free plane.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
We give free things that we'll take one too, and it.

Speaker 5 (29:10):
Helps us out because again we're talking about we have
forty year old aircraft.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
The money we spend, the maintenance we spend.

Speaker 5 (29:17):
On those planes to keep them tippy top is astronomical.
You wouldn't even believe it. So I think it's a
great gesture from guitar. I appreciate it very much.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yeah, do you think the president's serious about this? Or
is it a play?

Speaker 1 (29:32):
Is it a play as Ryan suggested, put pressure on Boeing?
Is it some other play here? What do you think
is really going on? And maybe you do think, no,
he really does want to accept this.

Speaker 2 (29:42):
This plane is a gift.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Three or three someone three eight, two, five, five the number. Again,
I think he's on a tremendous role. The occasional mistake,
but hey, he's only human, but an historically great role
but this not only no way, a no blank in way,
no blanking way. And I have to believe this will
be an eighty twenty issue in America where Americans just say,

(30:04):
there is no way in the world that that Air
Force one, which is a symbol of American success and
ingenuity and pride, there's no way in the world. It
may be a ninety nine to one issue that Americans
are gonna want Air Force one to.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Be a quote gift from Qatar.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
Now, maybe there's another nation, like I suggested earlier, Hey,
if France wants to give it, because the US, say
France and the world in World War two, you know,
similar to the Statue of Liberty. Sure, I mean I
could see the US taking that kind of gift from
France because of what it would symbolize, which is something positive.
You take it from Qatar, you know, and all of
the questionable conduct of Qatar with regard to terrorism, et cetera. No,

(30:47):
I think the worst possible symbolism. So what do you
think the president's really up to here?

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Three or three? Someone three A two, five five the number.

Speaker 1 (30:57):
So we're talking about that and also so much more
today and just such red hot sound.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
What did I want to get to here.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
I do want to talk obviously about China, and we
don't have all the specifics right now on this first
step in a deal, right we know the markets responded
very favorably to it. I think it's very consistent with
what we've been talking about, which is the President's play
was never the long term imposition of large tariffs to

(31:27):
do away with our income tax, et cetera. His play
was to wait a second, we got a level of
playing field in a hurry. We're under chemical attack right
now in this nation. You know, from China through Mexico.
There's a lot we have to do to protect American
workers in American interest right now, and so imposing these
tariffs was always designed, as we said on the show,

(31:48):
quite clearly, to get people to the table and get
better deals in place quickly. And that is what appears
to be happening right now. And again what we'll have
more details as it rolls out. I think it's pretty
clear that is what's happening. So if anybody wants to
talk about that again, three h three someone three eight
two five five excuse me, text d A N five

(32:11):
seven seven three nine. What I'd really like to talk
about is Nuggets basketball. But I know we are not
a sports show, so I'll keep that to the break
with just one observation, and that is obviously the NBA
does not want the Denver Nuggets advancing. We don't have
access to their focus groups, their ratings, their algorithms. But
you know, between the scheduling which has obviously been designed

(32:33):
to undermine Denver and some of the officiating, but that's
not why Denver lost.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Yes, Tod Denver had a chance to win that game, and.

Speaker 1 (32:40):
Listen, sometimes the shots don't drop, and that was just
one of those days. But I got to tell you, Ryan,
before we get back to the life and desk stuff,
I could not have been more impressed with the effort
both Friday night and yesterday, just the all out, you know,
hair on fire, defensive effort, loose balls, all that stuff.
And I'll go watch anytime win or lose, and just

(33:02):
find it very exciting to watch an all out effort
like that, which you don't get in pro sports that often,
but you're seeing it from the Nuggets.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
I give okay See credit. They're a great team. They are.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
But in Game four, when it looked like the tide
was turning the Nuggets a way it's in ball arena,
Denver's fire al cylinders. They've got the lead end of
third quarter, and for the Thunder to turn it around
like they did, I mean, that's an impressive feat.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
And they earn that too, too. Split.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Last thing I'll say about sports before you get back
to this other stuff is respectfully disagree. I don't think
they are a great team. I don't think they're I
don't I don't think they're going to last long.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
I think that.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
Listen, if Denver had a typical game yesterday, Denver wins
that game in the series essentially over right, Yeah, I
think you got a lot of sugar.

Speaker 2 (33:45):
You got a lot of sugar high, you got a
lot of points and everything else.

Speaker 1 (33:49):
But when you get to playoff basketball, yeah, I don't
think they're built that way. And I don't think they
have that kind of chemistry. I'm not saying character because
then it means low character people. No, I'm not saying
low character people. I don't think they have that heart.
But time will tell. My friend, they were sixty eight
and fourteen on the season. Yeah, but how in what
kind of basketball? And again I'm falling into the trap

(34:10):
that I built, Ryan, I apologize so that we'll finish
this during the break. Okay, we'll get to that day
all At my final comment, all I'll say is I
believe playoff basketball is not even the same sport, right,
it might as well be. You have an eighty game
whatever it is Batmanton season and then you have playoff basketball.
Just two different sports. I don't think they're that Okay,

(34:32):
SE's built for the playoffs. I think Denver is and
you know, just off game yesterday. All right, let's get
back to this stuff. I don't want to start this
Bill Maher stuff now because there isn't enough time to.

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Play it out the right way. I'll get to it
after the break.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
I you know, often have praised Bill Maher for some
of the intellectual courage he's shown in calling out the left,
and I'll continue to do that, right. I mean, you
just want to be brutally honest, relentless search for the truth,
and Bill Meher's sometimes and it takes courage to knock
the left, and he doesn't, so I'll give him back.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
He has been rapidly, rapidly.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Anti God for longer than I can remember, and I remember.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
One of the biggest shootouts I ever got into an.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Air on this show was that Bill Mark. But there
was some obscene, awful, insidious stuff.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
He aimed at the new Pope, and I'll tell you
why he's wrong.
