This is the Troubleshooter Show. And thanks for calling three
or three Martino. How do we help you?
Speaker 4 (01:38):
Oh well, I'm not exactly sure how you can help,
but well, let's try back in twenty nineteen, I had
my truck bulletproofed. It's a six point zero and you
know what bulletproofing is, right.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Well, I mean, is it exactly what you're saying? I
mean you literally had a bulletproof.
Speaker 4 (02:03):
Yeah, oh no, not not not from guns or nothing
like that.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Oh I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Without a masa Arizona.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
What what does it mean?
Speaker 5 (02:13):
Then?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
Why don't you tell us what does bulletproofing mean?
Speaker 4 (02:18):
So there, the six point zero has a lot of
problems with the engine, and this.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
Was a what kind of truck did you say? It was?
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Again? A Ford, Yeah, two thousand and five at three
point fifty tom.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Das big problems.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
You can upgrade like uh the EGR cooler and other
things because that diesel had so many issues. So they
just kind of call it bulletproofing. But it's making it
pretty much normal, honestly, honestly.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
Okay, yeah, that's well played.
Speaker 7 (02:51):
It is.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
So tell me tell me what tell me about? Go ahead, No, no,
go ahead, I'll listen.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Out of Bulletproof is a brand name, and back in
twenty nineteen, you could only get bulletproof parts from Bulletproof
in Arizona.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
So this was an aftermarket. So this is an after
market service that basically said, Hey, bring us your your
problem trucks and we're going to bullet We're going to
make them bulletproof.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Yeah, something something to that effect. Well, I had a
shop here in Loveland do the work for me, and
it costed twelve thousand, one and fifteen dollars and seventy
nine cents.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
Now, wait a minute, you had the shop here do
the work. What did you get from Bulletproof?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
Then this is the.
Speaker 7 (03:44):
Parts they got.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Supposedly they got all the parts from Bulletproof.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Okay, what so bulletproof Bulletproof doesn't actually do the work,
then they just sell the parts.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
Well, they do the work if you take your truck
to Arizona.
Speaker 8 (03:59):
But yeah, of the parts also.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
Okay, so Bulletproof supplied what kind of parts did they supply?
Speaker 4 (04:09):
They supplied they put the cooler on the oil filter
on the outside of the motor, uh huh, which makes
it a lot easier to do the oil change, and
then EDR and F I CM Yeah yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Yeah, okay, So various components, various components, and and did
this company, Bulletproof, did they invent the uh the system for.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Them, you know, for the truck.
Speaker 4 (04:40):
I believe, I believe they did invent all the the
parts and they're way upgraded, like like, I mean, after
its bulletouch, it should go anywhere from three to five
hundred thousand miles is what they say.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
My god.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Okay, so they're but they don't do it anything to
the internal parts of the engine or anything like that.
Speaker 7 (05:04):
Yeah, no, I.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Mean there's a lot of parts internally.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Wow, how much does bulletpromfing from beginning to end? What
does it cost from beginning to end?
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Well, I paid twelve one hundred and fifteen dollars and
seventy nine cents. I'm not exactly sure what the what
Bulletproof would charge to do it, but I know it's
like the total highest level of the kit that you
can get. Like, okay, it redoes everything in the engine
(05:37):
to make it worthwhile.
Speaker 2 (05:40):
To make it bullet problem?
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Right, So what happened?
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Where where did the problem come in?
Speaker 3 (05:47):
This was in twenty nineteen, so it begs the question.
Twenty twenty one, twenty two, twenty three, twenty four twenty five,
so we're we're at six years right now, right.
Speaker 7 (05:58):
Right, So.
Speaker 4 (06:01):
It would never pass the missions after that. But when
he was done and he gave me the keys to
my truck, he shook my hand and he told me,
if anything goes wrong with your truck, I'll fix it.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
How many miles do you have? Well, that doesn't that's
not a handshake. Warranty doesn't count. But I do need
to ask this and what do you have? What do
you have in writing as far as a warranty.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
Well, the warranty, the warranty is kind of invalid because
of the fact that they didn't even do what they
said they did.
Speaker 9 (06:41):
So I mean, well, what I'm saying is in Eli, Eli,
are you upset with the company here who did the
work or the company Bulletproof that supplied the parts, the
company that did the work.
Speaker 3 (07:02):
Oh okay, so this is not about Bulletproof, this is
about the local company.
Speaker 6 (07:08):
Yeah, but it's been six years. What's the problem six
years later?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
So what happened was is I came into just a
little bit of money, so I was trying to fix
and I.
Speaker 10 (07:27):
And let's actually take money, have a four hour shut.
Speaker 3 (07:35):
Eli, We're trying to figure out what happened. So when
let's just do it really easily. You had the parts
sent and installed by the local company.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
What's the local company's.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Name, They're Alliance Auto Repair.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Alliance, and you had them do the work.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
And when did the first sign of trouble pop up?
Speaker 4 (07:59):
About three weeks after done. I took it back to
him and what reason he needed to keep it?
Speaker 8 (08:06):
Well?
Speaker 4 (08:06):
Because it was it was smoking or some of that effect.
It wasn't running right all right. He took it back
and he kept it for the day and checked it out,
and then he told me it was going to cost
me nineteen hundred dollars to fix it. After, you know,
after he told me he'd fix anything that happened.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
So that was only but Eli, Eli, though, what do
you mean fix anything that happened? I mean, what if
the rear end of the truck went out?
Speaker 2 (08:33):
Like, what do you mean that's why that?
Speaker 1 (08:36):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yeah, but that's my handshakes don't work. I'm trying to think.
But what was the nineteen hundred dollars for? What was
this extra work for nineteen hundred bucks?
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Just listen, okay, yeah, I've been listening a different shop.
I took it to a different shop so that I
could get another opinion. Right, I went right down the
street to this other shop and he said it was
going to cost me nineteen hundred bucks. Also, I said, okay,
but do what?
Speaker 2 (09:04):
That's what? What's the nineteen hundred for?
Speaker 4 (09:07):
Do what? Because the truck needed to be fixed? Again,
I guess? But him, But.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
Eli, Eli, Eli, you have Eli. You have to help
me here.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
Brother, Listen, I'm listening to every word you're saying. So
let's just so, you paid around twelve grand to have
this truck bulletproof, and just three weeks later you needed
another nineteen hundred let's just call it another two grand
of work. What exactly was the extra two thousand dollars for?
Speaker 2 (09:40):
What you said?
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Well, it had to be fixed, but two thousand dollars
is a lot of money. What did they say they
had to do that costs you two grand?
Speaker 4 (09:49):
And the chept all the parts and my god, Mark, Mark,
tell me Mark, Now you have to tell me, Am.
Speaker 2 (09:58):
I asking the right questions.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
What yeah, before we go anywhere, before we do anything,
I need to know what was the two thousand dollars
repair for?
Speaker 2 (10:09):
What was it for?
Speaker 4 (10:13):
For all the parts? That they that were repaired were
parts that he had to deal with during the bullet bulletproofing.
Speaker 3 (10:22):
And this extra two grand, this extra two grand, did
you say to him, wait a minute, I just had
this done.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Where's that extra money going?
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Right?
Speaker 7 (10:34):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (10:35):
I did.
Speaker 7 (10:36):
I can fled back to the guy.
Speaker 4 (10:38):
And he showed him all the parts and said, these
are all the parts that were messed up on the
truck and they had to do with the bulletproofing. So basically,
you please messed up, hippo.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
So why did why would you agree?
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Why would you agree to pay another two thousand dollars
after you just got done paying twelve grand? I want
to ask you that, I promise listen, Eli, We're trying
to get a baseline here to figure out what did
they do in twenty nineteen you so basically you spent
fourteen grand. You're calling in twenty twenty five, almost twenty

on right?

Now?
Speaker 4 (14:27):
Okay, WELL i went To. WALMART i was working on
my other truck AND i went To. Walmart one of
the mechanics told me THAT i needed to change THE.
Ficm and SO i called down To alliance and what,
now hold.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
On why did you have to change?
Speaker 1 (14:45):
It?
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Oh, OKAY i see they were supposed to do that
back in twenty.
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Nineteen, yes, Okay so.
Speaker 4 (14:57):
They told me that that called bullet proof and you,
know find out what to. Do and instead of waiting for,
him BECAUSE i was already waiting for two hours for
him to call me back, ONCE i Called bulletproof myself
and they told me to send THE fiicm in and
it might cost fifty to three hundred bucks instead of you,
(15:19):
know fifteen.
Speaker 7 (15:20):
Hunters it's what there's.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
Called but who concluded you needed THE? Fiicm he, Said?
Speaker 2 (15:27):

fuel injection control module and give them any advice From.
Speaker 2 (15:52):
Walmart it was.
Speaker 4 (15:55):
His kid's truck that they, fixed the s FI. Cm

Speaker 4 (16:09):
That the mechanic At? Walmart and it was what was.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
The mechanic At walmart? Doing why was your truck In?
Walmart to begin?
Speaker 4 (16:18):
With it was my other truck with three hundred and
fifty thousand miles on. It we were just talking about
another truck and it told me what the problem was
with his kids. TRUCK i, SAY i, see and so,
LIKE i took THE ficm out of my truck AND

Speaker 3 (17:11):
It so when you were in, there hold, on when
you were in there with your old truck with three
hundred and fifty thousand, miles you happen to mention something
about this other truck and the guy, said, well you
ought to try the fuel injection control.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
Module, yes, Okay so what happened?
Speaker 4 (17:30):
Then so THEN i called down To alliance and found out,
that you, know they got it all for ball. Roofs
SO i called bulletproof and they, said send it down
and you, know it's if.
Speaker 5 (17:45):

Him they called me back and, said this isn't even
the bullet proof icm.
Speaker 2 (17:56):

on and that was one of the components that was
supposed to have been done. Originally, yes, wow was.

Speaker 5 (24:23):
There?
Speaker 2 (24:23):
Oh you?
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Did?
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Okay? Good?
Speaker 3 (24:25):
So UH i GUESS i Guess Deputy bow is gonna
call and and try to get the lowdown on.
Speaker 2 (24:31):
That bows people.
Speaker 12 (24:32):
Always in the other room trying to call them ask
as we, speak thank, you.
Speaker 2 (24:38):
Doc here's the. Deal doesn't it stand to? Reason? Truly it?
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Does that you can't shake somebody's, hand and he'll, say
whatever goes, Wrong i'll fix. It then six years later
he goes back and he, says for six.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
Years, now what do you.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
Do when you have a big truck like that that
you can't drive for six?
Speaker 6 (24:58):
Years how do you think he was saying. THAT i
don't even think he was saying he couldn't drive. It
but my, guy who want to ask, him we're gonna
hear what color shoes he was?
Speaker 2 (25:08):
Wearing no mark? What he definitely said.
Speaker 3 (25:11):
This he was he's been driving his old truck and
he hasn't been DRIVING pf three point fifty because it
would never pass.
Speaker 6 (25:20):
Emissions well, yeah but that, OKAY i, mean, okay or
you're saying he emissions no matter what after having the bulletproofing.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
Done, Okay but, anyway he, SAID i couldn't get it
to pass, emissions SO i couldn't drive.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
It And i'm not sure why six years later and.
Speaker 6 (25:38):
TALKED i talked To connor over. There connor knows about,
it but he's only been there six. Months he's going
to get with the. OWNER i gave him my. Number
when the owner gets in this, afternoon he's gonna call
me And i'll try to figure out their side of.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
It, Okay thank, You. Devin what's going on with?
Speaker 1 (25:55):
You?
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Devin how can we help?
Speaker 3 (25:56):
You?
Speaker 13 (25:58):
YEAH i THOUGHT f one fifty from The Sharpest rides On,
june and THEN.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
I, well In, june little In, june you bought, it
and you bought it In june At Sharpest, rides, okay
and it's AN f one fifty, correct? Okay and what's
happening with?
Speaker 13 (26:21):
It, well it started making like a little rattling, sound
SO i thought maybe it was like something that was?
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Okay and when did that?
Speaker 10 (26:28):
Happen like a month AFTER i got?
Speaker 2 (26:32):
It did you get? This how many miles on? This
what year is it one?
Speaker 13 (26:37):
Hundred it's twenty eighteen and it had one hundred and five.
Speaker 10 (26:40):
Thousand miles M? Okay THEN I teion brothers to get
a full like you did?
Speaker 3 (26:48):
It oh, wait so you brought? It did you take
it to get? It checked out before you bought, it.
Speaker 10 (26:54):
AFTER i bought, it because that's when the issue started.
Speaker 2 (26:56):
Happening, NO i understand.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
That but But, devin you didn't have it checked out
before you bought.
Speaker 13 (27:03):
It they said that they already. Did they said that
the safety expression was done and that they took it
to their mechanics that they trust and that they paid for.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
To look over.
Speaker 5 (27:13):
It and to.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Us did they put that in writing somewhere that it
had been you know that was there any kind of?
Guarantee here's What i'm trying to get. At let me
get right to, It, Okay. Devin the bottom line is.
This you buy trucks or cars as. Is when you
buy them, used that, means no matter what goes wrong with,
them no matter, what it's on. You that's WHY i
(27:39):
always tell people get something inspected before you buy, it
so you can at least get an idea of its.
Condition because as, is which is How Sharpest ride sells
its cars and.
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Trucks as is means as you take.
Speaker 3 (27:56):
It the only exceptions and everyone believes they have this,
exception but the only, exception the only way we can
nab Sharpness rides and say you better Help devon is
if they out and out lied to you.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
Or covered something.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Up SO i need to know did they lie to
you about this?
Speaker 2 (28:20):
Truck did they cover it?
Speaker 3 (28:22):
Up what were the circumstances back In june when you bought?
Speaker 13 (28:26):
It, well they gave us they said there was a
car backs and that everything looked fine and everything was.
Speaker 14 (28:32):
Good and then what does.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
That wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Wait see you just passed right over that they gave
you a car fact and they, Said, devin everything is
fine and everything looks.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
Good what did you take that to mean?
Speaker 3 (28:46):
Everything did you take that to mean you, know the exhaust,
pipe the, engine what part of the, engine the, windows the?
DOORS i, mean what did they mean when they said
everything looks?
Speaker 10 (29:00):
Fine basically they said that it.
Speaker 13 (29:04):
Would everything.
Speaker 10 (29:05):
Would the only thing that they said was wrong was that.
Speaker 13 (29:10):
It just needed an oil, change, okay and.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
That so so did they put any right? Guarantee did
you get any kind of a guarantee in writing that
we can? Help So i'm trying to help. You can we? Can?
We did you.
Speaker 13 (29:23):
Have to have a warranty company that we can go
through that would help fix?
Speaker 3 (29:26):
Problems it comes automatically with the truck, yeah, yeah it
said that because we have.
Speaker 13 (29:34):
Our warranty company that they worked.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
With did they charge you for that warranty or or
was it.
Speaker 2 (29:40):
Was a part of the.
Speaker 10 (29:41):
Deal we paid for the.
Speaker 13 (29:44):
Warranty how much did you?
Speaker 3 (29:45):
Work how much did you pay? For, no this is
good if you have a. Warranty what was the two
thousand excuse?
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Me what was the?
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Warranty how much did? It how much did you pay
for the truck to begin?
Speaker 10 (29:56):
With one thousand dollars put down?
Speaker 15 (30:00):
Payment?
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Okay and then how were you going to pay for?
It what did they get you?
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Alone, yes you.
Speaker 10 (30:08):
Gave us a loan and it's.
Speaker 4 (30:09):
To, credit.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
Okay and how much months do you pay? That how
much months do you?
Speaker 10 (30:16):
Pay five and fifty?
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Six?
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Okay so you you got it financed one thousand dollars
down five point fifty six a. Month and and so
when did you start having? Problems now go to the
part about the.
Speaker 13 (30:33):
Problems about like a month after we started hearing like
rattling every time it like hit a, Bump so we
thought maybe like a shock or something was. Wrong so
we took it there and she did a full like.
Diagnosis But christian brothers and they said it was about
like ten thousand dollars worth of issues that needed to
(30:53):
be fixed on the.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
Vehicle, okay so you understand this is WHAT i was talking.
About had you taken that To Christian brothers before you bought,
it you would have gone back To And i'm doing
this for others.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Listening so If.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Devin had taken that truck to a shop before she bought,
it they would have, said, Hey, devin you're gonna need
about ten thousand dollars worth of work done on.
Speaker 2 (31:16):
This devin wouldn't have purchased.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
It and now she, did so she purchased the truck
and that ten thousand dollars is. OWED i, mean she's
going to have to have the work. Done maybe she
can get a better. Deal but what part of As
is Or devon do you Believe Sharpest rides should fix
it for?
Speaker 13 (31:37):
YOU i believe, so because, well they did the emission
says before, anything and they said that it didn't pass but.
Something but they fixed the problem and they gave us
the information of what was wrong with it and why
it didn't pass. Emissions but the paperwork that they gave
us was for twenty sixteen Catilec.
Speaker 10 (31:57):
Escalade they didn't give us any information on our?
Speaker 2 (32:00):
Vehicle when did you notice?
Speaker 13 (32:02):
That when they when we first got the paper and
we want to go take it to our emissions test
down And Fort collins to see about it.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Passing let's let's figure. OUT i want TO i want
to Assure, devin we just got to figure this.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Out hold, on, people this is yet another. Problem how
many times have you heard? It how many times on
this show have you heard the exact same? Conversation you
bought a used vehicle more than one hundred thousand. Miles
you have major, problems WHICH i tell you you will,
have and now you need the dealer to fix. It
(32:40):
and guess, What they're probably not going to fix, it
but we'll we'll we'll, see we'll see what we can
do to help you and maybe see if they tried
to cover it.

one THING i do want to talk about eventually here
we have some, time is what The democrats are calling
(36:24):
the invasion of their.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
Cities and let's go.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
To, devin who says that, basically she bought a truck
used twenty eighteen f one fifty one thousand dollars down,
financing and.
Speaker 2 (36:43):
About a month later she bought this In.
Speaker 3 (36:46):
June she, said about a month later she heard some
rattles and Then Devin and that's HOW i pronounce your name,
right Not, devon is It devon Or?
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Devon?
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Devin, okay, Good So, devin what did you find out
those rattles? Were and you said it needs about how
much worth of? Work ten thousand?
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Dollars, yeah that's ten.
Speaker 13 (37:09):
Thousand there's my upper and lower control arms are completely.
SHOT i have my shops in my.
Speaker 10 (37:16):
Alignment that's.
Speaker 13 (37:17):
SHOCKED i have a bust my tail, lights so both
of my tailights are, busted so they have water.
Speaker 3 (37:23):
Damage and now all of, this all of this for people.
Listening devon's probably at least one of a thousand people
who have.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
Called And i'm.
Speaker 3 (37:35):
Not talking about Sharpers, rice but they have called in
general about used, cars not getting them checked out before
they buy, them not taking them somewhere to where they,
trust not to the shop that the dealer, has but
to their own independent shop to get the damn thing checked. Out,
okay she didn't do. That, obviously these problems were not.
(37:56):
Hidden they were out in the, open and and she
would have she would have found these. Problems so these
problems around to about ten. Grand but that's like you
knew you weren't buying a new. Truck didn't you say
how many miles are to have on?
Speaker 13 (38:10):
It one hundred and five?
Speaker 6 (38:12):
Thousand what wasn't covered by? Warranty they're not going to
cover like a cracked. Headlight BUT i, mean didn't you
have a major problem with the timing?
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Belt or. Something what happened?
Speaker 13 (38:21):
There they said they fixed.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
That, okay.
Speaker 10 (38:27):
So what's the.
Speaker 6 (38:28):
Problem now you have a shop that, says you, know
the headlights were.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
CRACKED i mean that's that's we need to. Know what
are you facing right? Now and what is the warranty?
Covering that's? It just what he?
Speaker 2 (38:39):
Said? What? What? What what is the situation?
Speaker 6 (38:42):
Today, yeah we have the Manager darryl listening right. Now
he's going to come on and give their side or
tell us what's going, on but give us some.
Speaker 13 (38:49):
Info, well the main scene right now is just the
fact that it was kind of just like we tried
to like get somebody to fix or they kind of
just been thrown us.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
Around and But, devin you, understand you understand you bought
a used truck with one hundred and twenty five thousand,
miles but you haven't told us what you Want Sharpest
rides to. Do did you expect them to do ten
thousand dollars worth of?
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Work?
Speaker 13 (39:19):
Now the main ONE i want them to fix or
like fix would be like the upper and lower control.
Speaker 10 (39:24):
Arms that's the main.
Speaker 3 (39:25):
Thing why doesn't your war let me ask you this,
straight does your warranty cover?
Speaker 15 (39:30):
That see when we took it TO Bg.
Speaker 13 (39:34):
Automotive that's the one that The Next Gen automotive suggested
to be taken to to see if they would be
able to cover.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
It And, okay what's the name of your? Warranty where
is that?
Speaker 12 (39:51):
Up credit?
Speaker 10 (39:52):
Acceptance that's not a.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Warranty, hey let's just bring up the manager, Here.
Speaker 12 (39:58):
Darryl good?
Speaker 5 (40:00):
Morning is this?
Speaker 3 (40:03):
Mister Uh? Darryl, Okay, daryl you're. There, yeah let me
ask you, something, man what kind of warranty do you
sell with your?
Speaker 8 (40:12):
Vehicles so the lender that finance this vehicle has their
own service contract.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
That they and that's why it says credit.
Speaker 8 (40:24):
Acceptance, yes SO i believe It's and AGAIN i just
picked up a phone, call So i'm not super prepared on, this.
Speaker 16 (40:32):
But, okay so it would be either through it'd be
through one of two contract, companies AND i believe it
would BE i believe it's Called SOUTHWEST.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
RhE but none of them are going to fix anything pre.
EXISTING i, mean if she bought something with bad control,
arms they're not going to fix, that.
Speaker 8 (40:54):
Right, well not not, typically but the fact that she
bought this vehicle back In june and it's Now. OCTOBER
i would say that it's worth filing a claim on to.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
See, okay and do you recall Specifically devin contacting the
dealership for.
Speaker 8 (41:13):
Help, no not not to the, dealership not in, particular
but again From june To August. October it's hard to
say what.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Are they, Denying? Devin what?
Speaker 6 (41:27):
Where what shop in are they saying needs to be
fixed and they're?
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Denying and why are they denying?
Speaker 13 (41:32):
It they took it To Christian brothers and then we
they so we got that quote from, Them so then
we called and then we got in touch with The.
Speaker 2 (41:44):
Devin none of that.
Speaker 6 (41:45):
Matters please just, say like like the fuel, INJECTOR i mean,
literally what's wrong with the?
Speaker 3 (41:50):
Car the control? Arms she, Said mark, first the control? Arms,
okay did they deny? It did the warranty company deny?
It and if, so why did they deny?
Speaker 13 (42:05):
It the only thing that they said that they would
are willing to fix with the water.
Speaker 2 (42:10):
Pump that They, okay.
Speaker 6 (42:13):
See, TOM i THINK i think like any, shop they
have a vehicle with one hundred and twenty five thousand
miles and they wrote up a wish list on. It
not stuff that's going to be covered by the. Warranty
but a wish, list.
Speaker 3 (42:25):
Right, right, right but right, Now, devin you also mentioned.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Emissions does it pass?
Speaker 13 (42:34):
Emissions it, did but it was stated the fact that
they said it it didn't and that they fixed the
part that it should.
Speaker 10 (42:43):
Pass but when.
Speaker 2 (42:44):
We got, there they passed.
Speaker 10 (42:47):
That, right get back, there did?
Speaker 13 (42:49):
It why did we bring it to the emissions test
if it already passed it?
Speaker 10 (42:54):
Before so did it pass with you unaware that it passed?
Speaker 13 (42:59):
That they said that if it didn't, pass to bring
it back so they can get a like a pass
for them.
Speaker 10 (43:08):
To take it back.
Speaker 2 (43:08):
In ALL i need to, Know, Devin ALL i need
to know is, this is it? Passed right? Now do
you have?
Speaker 5 (43:16):
Plates we do.
Speaker 2 (43:19):
Not you do not have your license plate because.
Speaker 13 (43:25):
We weren't able to afford to get the plates at
the time because we had to take it. In that's
the time we thought we had to pay for it
to get the water pump fixed because that's the one
thing that broke on us that we weren't able to drive.
It so at the moment we had to use the
money that we used that we were going to use.
Speaker 10 (43:41):
For the plates to fix the.
Speaker 4 (43:42):
Water but you.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Could but What i'm asking you have. Enough you don't
have to.
Speaker 3 (43:50):
Thank you for turning off that music whatever it, was
BUT i just need to, know is.
Speaker 2 (43:56):
It do you have a current emission? Sticker we have
a task? Paper? Yes, okay? Good? Good so right now
you want to get your control arms? Fixed?
Speaker 1 (44:12):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (44:12):
Right is there anything?
Speaker 5 (44:14):
Else?
Speaker 2 (44:16):
Right that's? Right how much will that cost?
Speaker 13 (44:18):
You IF i am, correct about a thousand.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
About one thousand? Dollars and who gave you that?
Speaker 10 (44:27):
Estimate Christian?
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Brothers and why did you?
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Choose not That i'm saying anything bad about, them but
why did you Choose Christian?
Speaker 13 (44:37):
Brothers, well at the, time we had no water, pump
so we kind of decided that was like the closest
one to our. Area it didn't like.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
Overheat and did you repair the water?
Speaker 10 (44:49):
Pump, yes we got it to beg.
Speaker 13 (44:53):
Automotive the one that they said would the warranty most
likely would cover the things that we.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Needed did the warranty cover? It, yes got some.
Speaker 10 (45:03):
Miracle that was the only thing that they said would.
Speaker 2 (45:06):
Cover all, Right so where do we? Go, okay so
we got a pretty good.
Speaker 3 (45:10):
Picture now this, listen this is not a complete. Screwjob
these guys sold you a used for f one with
one hundred and five thousand miles on, it And, devin
when someone comes to you After, June, July, August, September,
OCTO i, mean what do you do in cases like?
Speaker 2 (45:31):
This? DEVON i, mean what do you? Do just straight
up tell us what do you?
Speaker 13 (45:34):
Do what kind of like what they can do or
how they can.
Speaker 2 (45:40):
Take so, okay don't okay because you can't afford?
Speaker 3 (45:44):
It, Okay So i'll ask the same. Question i'll ask
the same question At, Darryl, daryl what do you do
with a customer like this who SAYS i can't afford
to get it fixed and it was obviously bad WHEN
i bought, it or do you think it could have
been bad? After do you think she had enough time
to do?
Speaker 2 (45:59):
That damn?
Speaker 8 (46:00):
MUCH i mean it's. Possible and also going back to
your point that you, know sometimes these mechanic shops right
up a wish. List it might not be a failing,
part it might be something that needs to be. ADDRESSED
i don't have a problem looking at the vehicle here
to see what we can.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
DO i think that's where we. Start we Need, yeah,
YEAH i, Mean, daryl that's where we start.
Speaker 8 (46:23):
On our temporary permit, also.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
Yeah, DEVIN i think you need to go back To Sharper's.
Rise we'll give You daryl's. Number, DARRYL i want to
ask you. Something the bottom, LINE i don't know if
you keep stats on, this how many comebacks do you
have where people.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
Say, HEY i Have and by the, way it is
Not i'm.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
Asking this because the used car industry right now is.
Deplorable there are so many vehicles with more than one
hundred thousand miles on, them and it doesn't matter what
you check out At Sharper's rise or what other dealers
check out is sometimes THEY i think people have this
idea that you're supposed to know everything wrong with that
(47:05):
car when you sell. It so what do you tell
people when you sell a car with one hundred thousand
miles on?
Speaker 8 (47:11):
It it's a you, know it's a tough thing because you,
know we didn't build, them we're buying. Them we try
to check them out to the best of our. Ability but,
again you know some of these things that you, know
is a twenty eighteen with one hundred and twelve thousand
(47:33):
miles going to ride the same as a twenty twenty. Four,
no it's, used so there's going to be some you,
know some rattles and. Shakes we do encourage people to
get the vehicles inspected before they purchase. Them we do
a you know that's within their. Rights can you let
them take?
Speaker 3 (47:50):
It do you let them take the vehicle to have
a Checked.
Speaker 5 (47:54):
Yeah, okay we.
Speaker 3 (47:57):
Do. Well, LISTEN i think we start out and thank
you for coming. ON i appreciate it From Sharpest. Rides
That's darryl And.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
Devin let's start out with a visit there is see
if there's anything they can.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
Do they have a shop that's quite extensive and they
might be able to give you a lower price or
maybe do a few things. Free let's just start. There
I'm Tom martine and, listen if you buy a used,
car how many times DO i have to say? This
with more than one hundred thousand, Miles it's not if
(48:32):
you're going to have, Problems you absolutely positively will have.

Two I'm Tom. Martine you're a. Troubleshooter THREE o three
seven one three talk seven one three eight two five.
Five let's.
Speaker 3 (49:30):
Talk what is on your? Mind, well. Listen one THING
i will tell you it is more than a coincidence
that we get these. Calls use cars right, NOW i
THINK i don't know what it, is but more and
more use cars with hundreds of thousands of miles on.
(49:53):
Them hundreds of thousands of miles are being, sold and,
people for some, REASON I i don't know, why they
buy them thinking they're, good they're they're dodging a. Bullet
do you know that if you put money this woman put.
Speaker 2 (50:07):
One thousand dollars, DOWN i think she said one thousand dollars.
Down whatever it, is if you put ye one thousand dollars,
down five hundred and fifty dollars a. Month do you
realize that if she could get, finance she would be
better off buying a new. Vehicle there are so many
cases where that becomes the thing to.
Speaker 3 (50:25):
Do now you don't always have to buy, new but
but it's certainly better slightly. Used, okay BUT i say the,
cutoff in my, opinion the cutoff is like one hundred
thousand miles at least. Mark what do you think over
all the time that we've, seen are you getting tired of?
(50:48):
THIS i, mean people buy a damn. Car they buy
a car and are shocked that they're having rattles and
they have one hundred and twelve thousand miles on, it
or on fifty or we've had people do two hundred
thousand miles and.
Speaker 2 (51:05):
They don't get the car. Checked are they praying that
nothing is? Wrong what do you? Think do you think
they're just? DESPERATE i think a lot of people are.
Speaker 6 (51:14):
Desperate that finance company that young lady was, USING i
mean that's high risk. Stuff she's probably got twenty thirty
percent on, there probably no money, down lack of.
Speaker 2 (51:23):
It she couldn't even afford to get it.
Speaker 6 (51:26):
Registered but when they sold her that, Warranty i'm sure
these people that sell these, warranties you know. This they're
very good at making you think you're protected on everything
and you're. Not you really have to look at the,
limitations the, exclusions the most important part of the. Warranties
forget about what it will. Cover people have got to
pay attention to what it won't. Cover and wear and
(51:49):
tear is probably going to be one of those. Items
and when you're talking about a control arm or shocks or,
struts anything to do with that. Suspension she could have
hit a pothole on seventy in the last five months
and cause, that.
Speaker 4 (52:01):
You, know.
Speaker 2 (52:04):
Really and, truly really and truly.
Speaker 3 (52:08):
To put that money down and have that monthly payment
and then have the expensive. Ownership if you amortize that
over a monthly, schedule you will find that used cars
are always always.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
More expensive than new.
Speaker 6 (52:24):
Ones always depectate with the credit bureau or not, bureau
with the credit people they used for she's high, Risk
i'm not so sure.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
She so you're saying she probably could.
Speaker 3 (52:34):
Not, okay so you're saying she probably wouldn't qualify to
buy a new, vehicle and you're pros a.
Speaker 6 (52:40):
SHAME i, mean it really is Because you're right if
you could, qualify even if it would cost you more.
Money it's very evident something that actually has a warranty
is going to cost you next to nothing for the
first three or five years of.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
Ownership not only, that but the financing is going to
be better than a used car or even slightly. Used
BUT i think people look at the low price of
of of cars with one hundred and fifty thousand or
more and you're buying yourself.
Speaker 2 (53:10):
Trouble there's they're they're not designed to.
Speaker 3 (53:14):
Go and now if this thing was meticulously, maintained because
FOREVER i, Know i'll get questions or excuse, me comments
from people, saying wait a, Minute, tom you know my
dad drove a pickup truck with one hundred and fifty
thousand miles or two hundred thousand or five hundred. Thousand
these are people who bought something new and meticulously maintained,
it or bought it from someone who meticulously maintained. It
(53:38):
the only way you're not going to have major problems
on a vehicle with one hundred thousand miles if SOMEBODY
i mean meticulously maintained.
Speaker 2 (53:47):
It, chris you.
Speaker 3 (53:49):
Need a plumbing recommendation for what what's going on with? You?
Speaker 2 (53:52):
Chris, Hey i've.
Speaker 17 (53:55):
Been doing some research on. Online it appears we're having
water received from the bowl of the toilet and some
gurgling noises from the in a bathroom IN.
Speaker 2 (54:12):
Aa you need to get someone out.
Speaker 3 (54:14):
THERE i, mean so you're it's when you say seeping
out from the. Toilet are you talking about where the
toilet meets the.
Speaker 17 (54:21):
Floor, No i'm talking about in the. Bowl in the
bowl of the, toilet it, flush is, fine everything's, Okay
but the bowl fills up and then the water slowly
recedes to.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
It, oh it slowly drains back out again and it gets.
Speaker 5 (54:40):
Low that's It's.
Speaker 17 (54:44):
It's not leaking all over the, floor you. KNOW i,
mean it's not leaking and water isn't on the. Floor
so When i've done some, research it appears it could
it could be related to a clubbed or partially right
flocked plumbing.
Speaker 2 (55:01):
Vent that's, Right that's exactly.
Speaker 17 (55:03):
Right, Okay so my real question IS i don't know
what kind of plumbing company to get. Here DO i
need a specialized.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
Plum, no do you need a?
Speaker 3 (55:14):
Jet you need what's Called i'm gonna tell, you, dear
you need a service plumber a. Service plumber, okay, okay,
okay and let me let. YOU i would call either
fix it or plumb line. Mode you might pop top
choices And kachina can give you those number off the.
Air BUT i, mean if you, do you have a
pen right, now you can just put.
Speaker 2 (55:35):
Down i'll tell you WHAT i. Do, i'dkay hold.
Speaker 3 (55:39):
On just real quick fix it twenty four to, seven
and then Plumb Line. Services what were you gonna, Say,
MARK i would call plumb line and tell them exactly.
THIS i want the ninety three or FREE i think
my main drain line is. Clocked they're gonna come, Out
they're gonna scope, It they're gonna check it all, out
and they're either gonna fix it if it truly is
(55:59):
a partial clog in that drain, line and if they
can't fix, it they're going to tell you what's wrong
and give you an estimate to fix it.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
For ninety three.
Speaker 18 (56:08):
Bucks, hey CAN i ask a, Question? Chris after you flush,
it do you hear a little bit of a running?
Noise Because, tom you, know if it's a flapper arm
that isn't totally, closed the water is going to.
Speaker 12 (56:23):
Recede but then if it flushes.
Speaker 18 (56:25):
Properly it sounds like it's just a matter of that
flapper arm not closing the drain in the.
Speaker 17 (56:31):
TANK i have replaced the flapper so, so and the
gurgling sound in the sink next to it is there
is the other clue that made me think that it
was this possible.
Speaker 2 (56:51):
Block or the vent stack.
Speaker 6 (56:53):
Blockage maybe that's there because with that sake next to
it making a noise like. That but, regardless they can
look at all of these.
Speaker 2 (57:01):
Things, Okay so.
Speaker 17 (57:03):
You say It's plumbline that's got the ninety three or
free THAT i used to talk to them. About, yes, yes, okay, okay,
Good thanks you, guys BECAUSE i just wasn't sure how
SPECIFIC i needed to.
Speaker 4 (57:15):
Get, yeah and if.
Speaker 6 (57:16):
They can't get out there, quick Like tom, said fixmihome
dot com or fix it twenty four to, seven can
send someone out just like that as. WELL i just
know that Plumb line's got that ninety three or free
and because it could be caused by a drain, LINE
i think this would apply.
Speaker 2 (57:33):
There just make sure you drop our.
Speaker 17 (57:34):
Names, OKAY i will do, that And i'll use all
the verbiage that you gave. Me so thank you so
much for your time and then thanks, You.

there's a specific time period THAT i can only cancel
(59:41):
by a.
Speaker 1 (59:43):
Letter how?
Speaker 5 (59:43):
Long, yeah you know.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
What i've heard of this. Before they make it almost.
Speaker 3 (59:47):
Impossible let me ask you something. Quickly what how long
have you had it the?
Speaker 2 (59:54):
Dumpster?
Speaker 14 (59:57):
Uh several? Years over?
Speaker 5 (59:59):
Five?
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
Okay and why do you want to cancel?
Speaker 14 (01:00:04):
It because they keep on going?
Speaker 15 (01:00:08):
Up?
Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
Okay and what does it say in the contract about?
Canceling it has to be on an odd numbered day
on a full, moon and you have to be standing
on your left foot or. SOMETHING i, mean it's really
tell me what it tell? Me what it says about
CANCELING a morning to?
Speaker 14 (01:00:25):
Them they said that it's within this period of. Time
it's so many days prior to the end of the,
contract like, like is there.
Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
A window or for, example if you had let's say
six months left on your, deal is it a yearly?
Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
Contract first of.
Speaker 14 (01:00:46):
All, WELL i thought it was a yearly. Contract BUT
i just talked To shannon With Waste management this. Morning,
yeah for me that because UH i didn't sign a
(01:01:07):
renewal for the, contract it automatically renews for two.
Speaker 2 (01:01:12):
Years well what do you why would it renew for two?
YEARS i have no.
Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
IDEA i didn't sign.
Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
Anything, okay, okay did you ever sign?
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
ANYTHING i can't.
Speaker 14 (01:01:26):
Say the PAST i, did But i'm trying to get
out of.
Speaker 5 (01:01:30):
This Uh, NO i get.
Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
It, no this sounds. Crazy this absolutely sounds. Sick it
sounds like the garbage. Mafia so but they, said because you,
do you failed to do. Something it renewed for two.
Years what did you fail to?
Speaker 14 (01:01:47):
DO i failed to send them this letter in that
time WINDOW i. DID i did send them a cancelation
letter saying THAT i didn't want to continue with their
service AND i would like to cancel the. Service and
at that point in, time they had told me, that,
(01:02:09):
okay you can, cancel but once you send in the
letter and we receive, it then it'll still be an
effect for ninety, days and then after that we'll cancel.
Speaker 2 (01:02:23):
It, Okay so when would that.
Speaker 14 (01:02:28):
Be, WELL i sent the letter in In june And.
Speaker 2 (01:02:34):
July, okay so when does it?
Speaker 14 (01:02:35):
Cancel, well it should have it should have. Canceled it
should have Went, July, August, september and canceled In. October
BUT i just got a.
Speaker 5 (01:02:50):
Bill For.
Speaker 7 (01:02:53):
October you, know you, know you know.
Speaker 2 (01:02:56):
What i've heard this.
Speaker 3 (01:02:57):
BEFORE i swear To, GOD i have heard the same story,
before which tells me you're not. Crazy they make it
almost impossible to cancel the damn. THING i, mean they really.
Do they make it almost. Impossible you have to write
a certain, letter you have to do it during a certain,
window or certain things. Happen but when you said this
(01:03:18):
two year extension, started.
Speaker 2 (01:03:22):
Why when would this two years be?
Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
Up in twenty?
Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
Seven the twenty seven twenty twenty? Seven, listen do you
have a copy of your original?
Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
CONTRACT i do. Not can you ask them to send
you one?
Speaker 14 (01:03:44):
Online, well you need.
Speaker 2 (01:03:46):
To get one? Mark can you?
Speaker 3 (01:03:48):
Have you usually mark things ahead and goes online and.
Stuff have you heard about these mark that they're almost
impossible to get out of because they make these windows
very like you have to remember when your contract is coming.
Speaker 6 (01:04:05):
Up so so years AGO i dealt with these kind
of dumpster deals on a.
Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
Commercial, YEAH i deal with all my good.
Speaker 6 (01:04:11):
Years and let me tell you they're almost impossible to
get out. Of you agree to all that when they
were picked. Up But i'll tell you, this if you
send over that, AGREEMENT i will look through. IT i
won't give you legal advice on, it BUT i guarantee
i'll understand it and point out whether or NOT i
think you can get out of.
Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
It and we can.
Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
Give it to one of our attorneys to look at as.
Well but we need to have some kind of an
agreement to look. At you, know a lot of times
these people don't even have your original, agreement and you,
know it's just it gets. Ridiculous they hold people. Hostage
so if you called up and simply said to, THEM
i want to cancel this contract as soon as, possible
(01:04:54):
can you help me do it the right? Way what
would they say to?
Speaker 14 (01:04:57):
You he told me that as soon as possible come
they will be. Willing they're going to send me a, letter,
yes an, Email and she, said you can buy out the.
(01:05:18):
Contract you have to pay six.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
Months, yeah it's the early.
Speaker 6 (01:05:22):
Termination, yes, listen if you don't if you do not follow,
it if you did a one to three year, agreement
if you do not get, out all you have to
do is look at the auto renewal clause and if
you miss that time window each year or after three,
years then you have to do the early termination, fees
which can be six months or even a.
Speaker 3 (01:05:43):
Year, so in other, words there's a window toward the
end of each agreement where you have to let them
know you will not.
Speaker 6 (01:05:53):
Renew, yeah usually between sixty and ninety days or ninety
to one hundred and eighty days before that yearly renewal comes.
Up if you do it after, that well then it's
already renewed per the, contract so you start the next
year over and the only way to get out of
that is pay the termination.
Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
Fees so when right, Now, rick if you just let
things go as they should according to, them when does
your contract expire.
Speaker 2 (01:06:28):
In the seven and how do you know?
Speaker 14 (01:06:31):
That so that's what she told.
Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
Me so you don't have a copy of, It, Rick
i'm going to mark this. Pending look at. It i'd
like to help.
Speaker 6 (01:06:41):
You but really you got to see the contract and
the other THING i want to throw in there. Rictly
the other THING i want to throw in is how
you do. IT i don't think a phone call does.
IT i think you have to know your right a
formal written notice and send it.
Speaker 12 (01:06:55):
OFF i.
Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
Know and that's what they're banking. On they're banking on
the fact that you're not going to know how to do.
Speaker 2 (01:07:00):
It now you're holding on to do the other.
Speaker 6 (01:07:01):
Thing i'll mention real, quick AND i don't know if
this is a case start thinking outside the, box like
did they miss some? Pickups can you point to a
breach of contract for an exit?
Speaker 3 (01:07:11):
Strategy So, Rick i'm marking this down, here okay as
pending and what AND i need we need to see a, Contract.
Okay if you can't find, one we certainly. Can't you
need to ask them for a copy of whatever contract you.
Signed they have to give it to, you and if,
not then then we can have a whole different. Strategy
(01:07:33):
if they don't give you a copy of the, contract
we have more coming right. Up go with a sure

Speaker 2 (01:10:04):
Day you know.
Speaker 3 (01:10:07):
This the issues that came up today are. Incredible how
about you, know paying thirteen thousand dollars in twenty nineteen
and accepting as your warranty a handshake and the guy,
says whatever goes, Wrong i'll.
Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
Fix would you accept that as your? Warranty would? You
what about another person who paid.
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
To get the to buy or it's a woman to
buy AN f one fifty with one hundred and five
thousand miles on, it one hundred one thousand dollars down
five hundred and fifty six a, month and now it's making.
Rattles she bought it In, june and she says there's
rattles and it needs major.
Speaker 2 (01:10:58):
Work she wants to be.
Speaker 3 (01:11:00):
Covered, PEOPLE i swear To, GOD i hate sounding like
a broken.
Speaker 2 (01:11:07):
Record just don't buy use vehicles with that much on.
Speaker 3 (01:11:15):
IT i, mean it's better to finance a higher amount
or get a better car with a better. Warranty you
got to stay away from cars with one hundred thousand
miles or more unless you absolutely positively know the person
who had that car from the beginning and meticulously maintained.
(01:11:37):
It if you don't know that person, personally do not
ever buy a vehicle with more than one hundred.
Speaker 12 (01:11:44):
Thousands tom you know you skipped over an important.
Speaker 18 (01:11:46):
Point the people from the car place said they would
have allowed her to get A. Ppi and if people
would just ask if The veala doesn't allow them to do,
that don't buy the, car but at least if they
allow you to get, it did you just what.
Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
Do you call? It what did you, say A ppi
a pre purchase.
Speaker 3 (01:12:08):
Inspection, Okay well not everyone would know That i'm about
but thank. You, okay so people now you know what
A ppi, is but thank, You. Doc i'm just kidding.
Speaker 2 (01:12:16):

Speaker 12 (01:12:24):

Speaker 3 (01:12:27):
Okay so another THING i want to talk, about and
again you KNOW i want to WHEN i, SAY i
want to try to keep it not getting.
Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
Political the whole issue is. Political BUT.
Speaker 3 (01:12:40):
I want to, know like this new trend to send
the federal government into areas that are, troubled is that
a federal? Invasion what what do you call? That when the,
okay is? It when the crime is high and there's
(01:13:02):
a deadly weekend of shootings and the president of The
United states, Says we're going to send in The National
guard to. Help do you, THINK i, mean what do
you think is going? On in every single, case we
have not had one case where the federal government was.
Welcomed they don't, say, yes come in and help us
(01:13:27):
get a handle on.
Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
Crime they say stay away from.
Speaker 6 (01:13:30):
Us, now there's a lot of states that do there's
a lot of states that have asked for.
Speaker 2 (01:13:34):
HELP i, mean that's not.
Speaker 6 (01:13:36):
IT i think the deal, is it's just some of
these really lefty mayors and. GOVERNORS i, mean, really we
can't lump every state into that just Because, chicago to
give you an, IDEA i, Mean illinois is probably the.
CRAZIEST i, mean they Attacked. ICE i think it Was saturday.
Night people were literally driving trucks into their. Trucks people were,
(01:13:58):
armed they actually found to, bomb and the police, chief
NO i, know said do not, respond literally would not
let his officers go out there when a huge crowd
was surrounding these.
Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
People it's. Horrible it's absolutely. Insanity it.
Speaker 3 (01:14:18):
Is and do you think the public in, general do
you think they echo the sentiment of their governors and
their mayors who want.
Speaker 6 (01:14:28):
To keep just a handful of. Wackos, no just a
handful of. Wackos there's a lot of people that don't
want to, see you, Know grandma get picked up and
thrown into a truck and flown off, somewhere back To
mexico or back To, venezuela or back To tahiti for that.
Matter but a lot of people don't want to see.
That but when we're talking about the actual you, know,
(01:14:49):
criminals people that have already had their exit orders done
by a, judge people that have raped, children people that
have been accused of things most of us would never
even think. Of most people are on the the, administration
and that goes for. EVERYBODY i mean most, people over
fifty percent of the. Population crime is a huge. Deal
taxes are a huge. Deal, Time they're. Huge that's WHAT i.
Speaker 3 (01:15:11):
UNDERSTANDS i guess WHAT i don't understand is why these
mayors and governors feel it's popular to go on and
to fight against because they're getting.
Speaker 6 (01:15:25):
Paid in my, opinion they're getting paid behind the scenes
numerous different. Ways they're backed by people Like, sorrows and
that's their.
Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
Role that is their, role just like IF i, Hire
just Like.
Speaker 6 (01:15:37):
Trump did with his, administration he hired people that are
going to be loyal to him in his.
Speaker 2 (01:15:42):
Agenda it goes the same.
Speaker 6 (01:15:44):
Way there's people out there that put in place DA's
and mayors and Back.
Speaker 2 (01:15:49):
NO i get, it they, do but how many how do.
Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
You justify going on and saying we don't need help
when their city is burning down around.
Speaker 6 (01:15:57):
Them, well because they're getting paid by somebody that's, saying
you're not about to.
Speaker 2 (01:16:02):
Do but do they really believe people are that?
Speaker 3 (01:16:05):
Stupid do they really believe that people are that stupid
saying we don't have a problem.
Speaker 2 (01:16:12):
Up we till up until they.
Speaker 6 (01:16:14):
DON'T i do believe they believe that up until they
don't believe it anymore because they get voted out of.
Speaker 3 (01:16:21):
Office by the, way somebody is texting me About. Medicaid
now we know That medicaid was vastly expanded Under, obama
and it really did a lot of good for people
in THAT i call metagap an area of coverage where
it's way too expensive for them to afford.
Speaker 2 (01:16:41):
It they can't go.
Speaker 3 (01:16:42):
Without So medicaid was expanded to millions of people based
on income only and not equities owned but. Income, anyway
this one person, says what good is Having medicaid WHEN
i keep getting turned Down they, say we don't Take
(01:17:04):
medicaid when they ask for your.
Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
Coverage and somebody wanted to know if this is. Legal,
yes it.
Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
Is they can't turn Down, medicare but they can turn Down.
Medicaid doctors and clinics can legally do this private. Practice
doctors generally have the right to decide.
Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Which insurance plans all insurance. Plans they.
Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
Could they could say we don't take this insurance or that.
Insurance they. Can't no one can Refuse. Medicare, okay you
can't Refuse. Medicare you could possibly have different terms and.
Conditions if you're On, medicare you can Exclude Medicaid medicaid
(01:17:57):
is considered an, insurance or you can include any type
of insurance you. Want if you believe That medicaid has
two low of a reinverbursement, rate you can't balance bill.
Either so you see the reason they're turning you down
is because they don't want to accept the lower reimbursement
(01:18:19):
and they can't balance bill. You they can't come back
to you and Say medicaid only paid this, Amount you're
going to still owe. This clinics and hospitals and federal
health centers emergency rooms are required to take, everyone, okay emergency,
rooms so that's something.
Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
To keep in.
Speaker 3 (01:18:39):
Mind and also if they are contracted With, medicaid they
have to Take medicaid and they can't discriminate Within. Medicaid
you take One medicaid, patient you take All medicaid patients
in any Case Health First colorado Is Colorado medicaid and
(01:19:03):
it has a very strong, participation better than most other.
States many states have very few providers.
Speaker 2 (01:19:13):
That will Accept.
Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
Medicaid In colorado a vast. Number the majority of healthcare,
providers the majority Take. Medicaid so if you're finding a
clinic that does not Take, Medicaid i'm telling you they're
in the.
Speaker 2 (01:19:32):
Minority they have a right to do.
Speaker 3 (01:19:34):
It but you can easily find healthcare providers that will
Take medicaid. Reimbursement there's very specific rules In, Colorado colorado
specific rules and provider obligations under what's Called Health First.
Colorado you, see even Though medicaid is a federal, program
(01:19:57):
it's administered by the states and they can hands it
and make it. Better and we are considered to have
one of the best medicaid programs in the entire, country
which is kind of.
Speaker 6 (01:20:08):
Nice, yeah but he he's going. Broke it's going. Broke
so it really doesn't. Matter once The feds aren't, gonna you,
know cough up their portion.
Speaker 2 (01:20:16):
Anymore it's, crazy how about but you, know.
Speaker 3 (01:20:18):
But have The feds made a definitive, Decision.
Speaker 6 (01:20:22):
Well a lot of that's going to be When obamacare
expires by the end of the. Year but, Listen, colorado
the system's going to go. BROKE i don't care how
people feel out, there but when you allow illegal immigrants
on it just to apply for, it BECAUSE i, mean
it's hard for them to find a.
Speaker 2 (01:20:38):
Job but think about. That think of how many.
Speaker 6 (01:20:40):
People were covering before we're actually covering our own. Citizens
colorado's almost going to let the entire system go broke
instead of modifying it to where the people that live
here and pay taxes are the ones that actually get it.
Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
First it's.
Speaker 6 (01:20:54):
Insane, well you, know why don't you? Try what Don't
tom fly over To mexico and see if you can
get free healthcare anywhere In. MEXICO i don't. Care they'll
head your, hostage they'll hold your damn passport if you
go to the emergency room and won't even let you.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
Leave same In, europe.
Speaker 12 (01:21:13):
Well thank you something.
Speaker 18 (01:21:14):
Mark medicaid is specialty. Dependent there are some specialties they
pay well like THEY i didn't Take medicaid because the
payment was so. Bad my, friend who's a, pediatrician Loved
medicaid because he got reimbursed at an incredible.
Speaker 12 (01:21:32):
Level so it.
Speaker 18 (01:21:32):
Really depends upon what specialty you're in whether you're going
to Take medicaid or.
Speaker 3 (01:21:36):
Not by the, Way by the, Way mark is completely
right about undocumented. Immigrants they absolutely can walk in right
now and get any kind Of medicaid for emergency, conditions.
Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
Childbirth hospital, care and.
Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
Inpatient services needed to prevent a serious health. Risk so
in other, words they're not but listen to how this is.
Worded Under Colorado medicaid, guidelines they are not allowed to
use the system for routine medical.
Speaker 2 (01:22:12):
Care but basically.
Speaker 3 (01:22:15):
They get around it by simply, saying either it's an
emergency or it will prevent a serious health risk in the.
Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
Future so what does that sound like to? You that
sounds like regular medical.
Speaker 3 (01:22:29):
Care and then so there are people fighting to keep
this and to expand it among undocumented, immigrants and.
Speaker 6 (01:22:40):
It would be, GREAT i, mean that would be a
utopia for all of. Us but the bottom line is
there's not that many people out, there creating jobs and
paying taxes that can cover. It don't you think it's
normal to cover your own people first for, Everything, well.
Speaker 2 (01:22:56):
Of course it.
Speaker 3 (01:22:57):
Is and AGAIN i got to take this. Break but
there are so many PEOPLE i wonder if the people
that want all of these benefits for undocumented, immigrants and trust,
ME i don't hate undocumented people or think even that
they shouldn't be.
Speaker 2 (01:23:11):
Here there just should be a path of some kind and.
Speaker 3 (01:23:14):
Know where they're going and what they're, doing as opposed
to just coming in in droves without any. Controls at
least now that has slowed down and practically. Stopped but
the point is is there's got to be a way
to pay for, it As mark, said and if people
would put their money where their mouth, is will everyone.
Agree i'll throw in an extra thousand dollars a year
(01:23:37):
for medicaid for UNDOCUMENTED i, wondered and come?
Speaker 6 (01:23:40):
Close that wouldn't come close to covering, it though THAT
i don't think so.
Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
WELL i don't know how much it would.
Speaker 3 (01:23:46):
Be but would people be willing for their liberal and
progressive policies to put the money in or do they
want others to pay for? It because you can't have
it both. Ways we have more coming up on the
Trouble shooter. Show go with a Sure Thing Denver's best

Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
THREE a two five.
Speaker 3 (01:24:46):
Five so we're talking about uh.
Speaker 2 (01:24:51):
Talking about the federal government helping out with crime and.
Speaker 3 (01:24:56):
Uh, democrat let's just say it like it.
Speaker 2 (01:24:59):
Is you, know what do you for against?
Speaker 3 (01:25:01):
It it's a Fact democratic run cities and states do
not want the federal government improving their crime. Stats they
don't want. It they say they don't need. It it's
a lie and it's an. Exaggeration they say their cities aren't,
burning they're not under a excess, crime excess of.
Speaker 2 (01:25:22):
CRIME i, say what do the stats? Say if you?
Speaker 3 (01:25:26):
Know and then at what point do you send the
federal government in do you think the government do you
think That trump is doing it just to try to
make them look? BAD i, mean this is a fair.
Question has he ever sent troops into A republican run
city or?
Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
State aren't these fair? Questions?
Speaker 3 (01:25:45):
Mark this is a Text i'm getting, saying why don't
you talk about The republican run cities and? States is
it true that crime is worse in.
Speaker 2 (01:25:58):
The cities run.
Speaker 6 (01:25:59):
By you want to? CORRECT i do want to correct
a little of what you. Said there's Like Paul, Young Paul,
young mayor In, tennessee has asked for. Help Muriel Bowser,
washington D. C the mayor came around and she likes to.
Speaker 5 (01:26:13):
Help.
Speaker 6 (01:26:13):
There these are All. Democrats John, Whitmeyer. Texas oh, Really,
okay so there are.
Speaker 3 (01:26:18):
Democrats wait a, minute there Are democrats that would accept.
Speaker 6 (01:26:21):
Help, yeah And i'm talking Recently Justin. Bibb That's ohio
mayor OF i Believe. Cleveland he asked for. Help so
there's a lot of people that do ask for. Help
it's the really the ones that really dig. IN I
i have no. IDEA i have no, Idea like the
why the mayor In chicago is so against. It there's
(01:26:43):
there's like shootings every single weekend and murders every single weekend.
There it's really, insane but they seem to dig in the.
Speaker 12 (01:26:50):
Hardest they're afraid of.
Speaker 18 (01:26:52):
Success if the crime rate goes down significantly and people realize,
it then they'll understand that it was A republican that
saved this city and not The, democrats and maybe they'll
change their vote in the. Future and The democrats are
scared to death of.
Speaker 3 (01:27:06):
That, okay here's an interesting. STATISTIC i just looked. Up
there is an Actual there are actual statistics that homicide
rates are highest.
Speaker 2 (01:27:21):
In democratic leadership.
Speaker 3 (01:27:23):
Period this is from CHAT i mean chats if, Anything
chat and INTELLIGENCE, ai in my, opinion excus. Progressive one
interesting stat highest the highest homicide rates are cities with democratic.
(01:27:43):
Leadership for, example thirteen of the TWENTY us cities with
the highest murder rates in twenty twenty four were led By.
Democrats and it's the converse is, ALSO i, mean The
(01:28:05):
republican run cities have the lower.
Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
Rates how do you how do you figure?
Speaker 3 (01:28:11):
THAT i, mean it's not like criminals, say, hey you,
know let's move to a democratic. City why do you
think that? Happens, seriously, Now i'm really. Serious why do.
Speaker 6 (01:28:21):
You think they wouldn't do? THAT a lot of them
have like cash, lists bail and other. THINGS i, mean
if you're a career, criminal where are you going to?
Go you're going to go to Like, Dallas Fort, worth
you can go To austin.
Speaker 2 (01:28:34):
Anyway so but then then it.
Speaker 3 (01:28:38):
Says that this is the chat says you cannot reliably
say crime is worse in pradic run cities even though
statistics show it to.
Speaker 2 (01:28:50):
Be, so, well what the hell does that?
Speaker 3 (01:28:52):
Mean, anyway they say it's more socio economic demographic than,
anything and IT.
Speaker 2 (01:29:02):
I think just, happened.
Speaker 6 (01:29:04):
TOM i think there's a lot of truth to that
because a lot of those states have more you, know
they have open troughs if you, Will so it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:12):
DOES i think a lot of it is economics as.
Speaker 3 (01:29:14):
Well, yeah they're saying that that The democrat cities have
more social programs and more lenient programs or you, know
they're not so so, anyway that's how it looks as
far as crime and cities and in other, consumers and
(01:29:38):
we have some really important consumer stuff going on other than.
Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
That so online, sales what do you think do.
Speaker 3 (01:29:45):
You think they're they're projected to be better than last
year or worse than last. Year they're they're going to
they say they're going to be up a bit this,
year but only by about five.
Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
Percent, however the bad how do they define? That how
do they define?
Speaker 6 (01:30:02):
That like IF i go it's out of My walmart
app and they deliver stuff from my Local walmart or
My King, soupers is at an online sale BECAUSE i
started it?
Speaker 3 (01:30:11):
Online, well now anything started online is considered an online, sale,
YES i mean, yeah yeah. Yeah Adobe analytics FORECAST us
online holiday sales to be five percent over last. Year
that's a slower pace than it used to. Be it
(01:30:33):
was up about eight point seven in twenty four over twenty,
three but twenty five over twenty four will only be five.
Percent and it says that the economy is somewhat weaker this.
Speaker 2 (01:30:47):
Year so of course there.
Speaker 3 (01:30:49):
Are people on the bandwagon, saying why Is? Trump why
did he inherit a great? Economy and why is the
economy going to?
Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
CRAP i don't know who said.
Speaker 6 (01:30:58):
THAT i, mean we hadtty much the highest inflation Over
Joe biden that we've had Since Jimmy.
Speaker 2 (01:31:04):
Carter now here's the bad news for.
Speaker 3 (01:31:10):
Retailers it looks like the majority of shoppers are shifting
to online as opposed to brick and. Mortar you, know
those days of standing outside of a store door trying
to storm the door to get YOUR.
Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
TV i mean you could just go and do one
click and get. Them so It's amazon.
Speaker 3 (01:31:29):
Target walmart kick off their holiday sales. Early by the,
way right, now you have deals going on right, now
and early sales are showing that most people are going Online.
Speaker 6 (01:31:43):
Walmarts The walmart's up like twenty two percent online sales
last year was even more. Amazing they were one hundred
and five percent last year twenty twenty four compared to
twenty twenty three where they only did. Forty but what's
even more, amazing we're talking online and in stores sales
were still up year over, year so they created a
(01:32:06):
whole new bucket of money coming in to compete With
amazon in the last five.
Speaker 3 (01:32:10):
Years all, right we have to take this break On
Tom martino more coming. Up go with a sure Thing

Now one of the.
Speaker 3 (01:33:03):
Other things that people don't talk a lot about is our.
Speaker 2 (01:33:09):
Disposable. Culture the reason for, THAT i, MEAN i swear To.
Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
God i'm looking at My, hero my GoPro, right AND i,
said look at, This it's. Cool And i've only had
it a couple of years or, so and it was
A hero.
Speaker 2 (01:33:29):
Too do you know they're up To hero.
Speaker 3 (01:33:31):
Thirteen it's to a point where people have stuff that
is totally unsupported almost a year after they buy. It
if you buy something like a video, camera just a regular,
videocam not your, phone but a, videocam or you buy
(01:33:54):
something electronic of some kind or, digital the most according
to according To chad and other, sources the most you
can you can actually depend on a factory support is two.
Speaker 2 (01:34:12):
Years two.
Speaker 3 (01:34:13):
Years so what we're doing is we are becoming a disposable.
Culture people don't EVEN i Remember. Mark, Okay i'll give
you an.
Speaker 5 (01:34:23):
Idea.
Speaker 3 (01:34:24):
Mark one time was looking at a TOOLBOX i had
in my, house and it's a toolbox with the drawers
and all, that but not for. Tools BUT i kept
electronics stuff in. THERE i kept power, CHORDS i kept other.
Speaker 2 (01:34:36):
Cords and he pulls a bunch of cords out and he, Says,
tom do you realize that these cords will never come?
Speaker 3 (01:34:45):
Back they will never come. Back they're, Gone they're done.
Forever and THEN i started looking at a lot of
the STUFF i, have and really the truth of the matter,
is you have junk after a very short time of.
Ownership do, you like, me find yourself owning? Junk what
(01:35:06):
do you do with? It is there a place to
even donate?
Speaker 2 (01:35:09):
It, like for, EXAMPLE i have literally three or four
old older they're not, old they're older, camquarterers like one
is that go? Pro AND i have some.
Speaker 3 (01:35:23):
Others is there any way you can even donate this?
Stuff that's What i'd like to, know where you can
give it to somebody who will use, it or at
least you, know there has to be.
Speaker 2 (01:35:34):
People there have to.
Speaker 3 (01:35:36):
Be, PEOPLE i mean that that can use this. Stuff
it seems a shame to me to fill our. Landfills,
mark do you find.
Speaker 2 (01:35:45):
Yourself with a lot of old?
Speaker 3 (01:35:46):
Stuff you must have a lot of old, stuff, RIGHT
i mean because you buy stuff as it becomes.
Speaker 6 (01:35:51):
Available we got to roll off during this year during.
Summer and did you really do the roll?
Speaker 7 (01:35:58):
Off?
Speaker 2 (01:35:58):
Yeah most of?
Speaker 3 (01:35:59):
It?
Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
Yep Hey, TOM i.
Speaker 12 (01:36:02):
Yeah how many old remotes you?
Speaker 18 (01:36:04):
HAVE i must have ten or twelve old remotes in
a draw that will never come.
Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
BACK i, know you, KNOW i just feel, like my,
god it's so weird to just throw this stuff.
Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
Away but As mark, said he just did.
Speaker 3 (01:36:18):
It And i'm telling, you this stuff is Not we're
not talking about old as far as, years and we're
not talking About warren. Either but, like for, example This
hero two GoPro must have been used by me three.
Speaker 2 (01:36:34):
Times it's an entire, life.
Speaker 3 (01:36:36):
Right and we were at the hangar the other night
AND i said to my, FRIEND i, said what do you?
Think and it's like you don't even know what to
do with? It is there a place there's didn't Best
buyer somebody didn't somebody have a bin where you could
drop off electronics and just drop them in a bin
(01:36:57):
and they see what they can do to find a
home for. Them think about how many kids right now
could possibly use something that they don't, have like an old,
laptop an old.
Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
Computer but there's no in.
Speaker 3 (01:37:09):
BETWEEN i wish there was an organization where you could drop.
Off And i'm not talking about ancient. Either they're not even.
Ancient they're just a little older and everyone wants something.
Speaker 2 (01:37:22):
New and why wouldn't you think about?
Speaker 3 (01:37:25):
THIS i saw a sixty five a sixty five inch
led on, sale sixty five.
Speaker 2 (01:37:34):
Inch for two ninety, five two hundred ninety five.
Speaker 12 (01:37:39):
Dollars Does goodwill take electronic? Products?
Speaker 3 (01:37:44):
JASHUALLY i don't. Know, No so you're really stuck with.

That oh they.
Speaker 6 (01:38:00):
Do, yeah they charge for TVs that are OVER i don't,
know forty inches or, something and it's not.
Speaker 2 (01:38:06):
Cheap it's one or two hundred.
Speaker 3 (01:38:07):
Bucks, well how else would you Dispose? Mark do we
still have all those big? TVs i, mean how do
you dispose of? Them can you put them in a regular.
DUMPSTER i would never condone this.
Speaker 6 (01:38:20):
Behavior but maybe you pass a dumpster or possibly.
Speaker 3 (01:38:25):
Home, no but let's say you have a real, dumpster
just a real. One can you use the? Dumpster you
can use? It is there any if but you?
Speaker 6 (01:38:35):
Agree like when we had the roll, OFF i. AGREE
i wouldn't put any, of, say electronics in. There so
if they caught you doing, it you agree in that
contract that you'll PAY x. Amount SO i did not
do that Because i'm sure they would charge me x
amount AND i agree to.
Speaker 2 (01:38:51):
It is there a place you couldn't put?
Speaker 6 (01:38:55):
Tires for some, reason you couldn't put like, trees BUT
i didn't care about. That but you couldn't basically put
electronics or tires or any kind of petroleum like oil
based batteries is a big thing. Too, oh batteries is.
Huge you, agree no. BATTERIES i just need to know

tiff with my trash. Man years, AGO i had A
dora The explorer thirteen INCH, tv an OLD crt that
had it met IN vcr AND i put it in
a trash.
Speaker 2 (01:39:51):
Bag, ACTUALLY i put.
Speaker 6 (01:39:52):
It right in the trash one week and they left
a little note saying you can't throw these. Out so
the next WEEK i put it in a trash ba
literally with. Grass so it was the trash bag with
THE tv and it filled up with lawn shavings and
put it in. There got home and sure enough this
sob literally went through, there took it out and put
(01:40:14):
it there and left another note saying that they would
not take. It SO i went one step further to
try to get rid of. It the bottom line WAS
i could not get rid of. IT i basically broke
it into pieces and put it in two separate trash,
bags and he had the Entire, Yeah i'm not. Kidding
it became like a. Joke and then FINALLY i got
rid of it in a different.

Speaker 15 (01:45:03):

Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
Give us a quick story and Then i'll ask. Questions go, ahead,
yeah of.
Speaker 15 (01:45:40):
Course so moving into this house to the naked, eye
it looks pretty al.
Speaker 10 (01:45:44):
Right it's a.
Speaker 15 (01:45:44):
Single family, house two, floors four, bedroom two. Bath i've
had so many issues SINCE i moved in the, house being. Stilthy,
recently our allergies have, declined like health wise due to
pet gander and the lack of cleanliness like pat tea
from previous, tenants as well as hair stuck in. Events
(01:46:05):
we're having appliance problems that they're just trying to slap bandais.
On my dog keeps getting out of the down fence
because they won't fix.
Speaker 5 (01:46:12):
IT i think it's, okay that's a brief.
Speaker 3 (01:46:17):
Summary, Okay so basically here's WHAT i want to. Know
you say it was filthy when you moved? In did
you think about? OKAY i, mean did they say that
they would have it cleaned before you moved?
Speaker 10 (01:46:30):
In, no they said none of.
Speaker 15 (01:46:32):
THAT i actually came in and cleaned the house the
best of my, ability BUT i had no intention of
fixing anything that was wrong with the house because it's
not my. Responsibility how much.
Speaker 2 (01:46:40):
Do you spend each month on?
Speaker 15 (01:46:41):
Rent upwards a two point five k.
Speaker 2 (01:46:46):
Twenty five hundred?
Speaker 15 (01:46:47):
Bucks, yes coming from a twenty three year old that
takes care of her grandma at.
Speaker 2 (01:46:52):
Home, now is your grandma living in this home with?
Speaker 10 (01:46:55):
You she sure, is and she HAS.
Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
Copd, Okay so what needs to be done to this?
Place and why do you think it's the landlord's? Responsibility
And i'm not challenging, You i'm asking what needs to
be done that you believed the landlord should.
Speaker 15 (01:47:12):
Do fully renovate the. House to be, Honest, well.
Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
They don't owe, You.
Speaker 3 (01:47:18):
Divina, divina they don't have to fully renovate the.
Speaker 2 (01:47:22):
House let's be.
Speaker 15 (01:47:23):
Realistic, WELL i guess just make it.
Speaker 3 (01:47:28):
Suitable, Okay now did you have a chance did you
make it?
Speaker 2 (01:47:33):
SUITABLE i understand.
Speaker 3 (01:47:34):
That did you have a chance to examine this house
before you moved?
Speaker 5 (01:47:39):
In?
Speaker 15 (01:47:41):
YES i did to the walkthrough when we were, inquiring
and they made everything seeming peaches and.
Speaker 2 (01:47:47):
Cream, well but what did you? See did? You couldn't
you see stuff that you? Needed?
Speaker 3 (01:47:53):
Like, like are there any obvious? Flaws or is everything?
Hidden in other, words are the defects? Hidden is What
i'm trying to get a. Handle make me a. List
IF i was a good landlord AND i came in and, Said,
divina what do you need?
Speaker 2 (01:48:08):
Done what would be number one on your?
Speaker 5 (01:48:10):
List air?
Speaker 1 (01:48:13):
Vents what do you?
Speaker 2 (01:48:15):
Mean air?
Speaker 10 (01:48:15):
Vents so the circulation in the.
Speaker 15 (01:48:18):
House we've been having, issues just the WHOLE hvac. System
to be, honest.
Speaker 3 (01:48:22):
But, divina they're Not, Divina i'm going to be honest with.
You they're not going to redo THE hvac. System they're
not going to do.
Speaker 10 (01:48:29):
It, yeah, no they're.
Speaker 15 (01:48:31):
Not and that's the, thing you, KNOW i guess Where
i'm really at is trying to end my least. Legally
i'm okay Until, march stand Of.
Speaker 3 (01:48:38):
March that's, probably so you're in this lease until Next.
Speaker 2 (01:48:43):
March, yes, Sir so it's.
Speaker 3 (01:48:47):
Probably that's probably the easier way to, go because if
you come into a place and rent it and SAY
i want more air vents AND i want you to
change the entire furnace, System they're not going to do,
It Divina, Na they're never gonna do, That.
Speaker 2 (01:49:02):
Okay so it's a it's a it's a non.
Speaker 3 (01:49:06):
Starter it's an absolutely non starter right from the. Beginning
so have you simply asked them if you can get
out of the?
Speaker 10 (01:49:14):
Lease, no we haven't got.
Speaker 15 (01:49:16):
There, yet you, KNOW i was JUST i guess a
lots of better, words stugging it out Until.
Speaker 2 (01:49:20):
March oh, no you don't have to do.
Speaker 3 (01:49:22):
That you could probably get up they they probably will
let you out of. It they probably. Will have you
have you asked them to improve the air?
Speaker 5 (01:49:33):
Vents, YES i.
Speaker 15 (01:49:35):
Have we have cleaners coming to actually clean out the air.
Speaker 1 (01:49:37):
Vents.
Speaker 2 (01:49:38):
Day i'm not talking about. Cleaning of course they should clean.
Them that's an easy.
Speaker 3 (01:49:43):
PART i thought you said you wanted more air, vents, Added.
Speaker 15 (01:49:48):
Oh, no, sir, NO i just want the ducks to be.
Cleaned AND i, thought.
Speaker 2 (01:49:51):
Oh that that's not, unretavina that's not. UNREASONABLE i, mean
that's that's pretty. Reasonable so they are going to do, That.
Speaker 15 (01:50:03):
Yes they, are and they're Going they've been trying to
get a hold of a plumbing contractor to fix the lower.
Bathroom but the tub doesn't, work, basically and why are.
Speaker 6 (01:50:15):
You the tub if they're trying to fix this stuff
in the air vent people are coming? Out what's the
call for? Today isn't that exactly what you?
Speaker 2 (01:50:22):
Wanted, yes, yes no one.
Speaker 15 (01:50:26):
Is but it's more than just What i've been mentioning to, you.
Guys these are just the main. Issues but along the
lines of the, tub it's not. Draining it's, rusted which
is normal for an older house built in the Seventh
but they're.
Speaker 2 (01:50:37):
Trying but they're trying to fix, it.
Speaker 3 (01:50:39):
Right it sounds to me like they're. Working it sounds
to me like they're working with.
Speaker 2 (01:50:44):
You, no.
Speaker 15 (01:50:47):
To an, Extent i've been dismissed all, year and they've
been stopping bad names on, problems which is ultimately make things.
Speaker 4 (01:50:53):
WORSE i don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:51:00):
What would an example be of slapping a band aid
on and now it's.
Speaker 2 (01:51:04):
Worse like what like a real example for.
Speaker 15 (01:51:07):
Example the. Fence SO i have a younger, dog she's
about a one years, old and she's pretty, mischievous so
she likes to get. Out the fence is so messed
up that.
Speaker 10 (01:51:17):
He didn't even know what to.
Speaker 15 (01:51:17):
Start the leasing. Agent he just came over and put
new panels on, it and it kept.
Speaker 3 (01:51:21):
Breaking But, divina they're not required to have a fence
for a.
Speaker 5 (01:51:26):
Rental, no of course not.
Speaker 15 (01:51:29):
No but this is something THAT i came in, with you,
know problems that we're, here existing problems prior to.
Speaker 3 (01:51:33):
Me, yeah, Okay but WHAT i mean is, no we're
not saying it, Is. Divina you sound, reasonable you want
a certain place with certain. Things but What i'm trying
to tell you is under the current, law which is
really bent heavily toward toward, tenants they don't have To
they don't have to fix a fence in your. Yard
(01:51:55):
that's not part of habitability at. All the clean air,
ducts the clean air. Ducks they do have to fix
the drain on the. Tub they do have to fix the.
Speaker 2 (01:52:05):
Fencing they don't have to Fix i'm trying to pick.
Speaker 3 (01:52:09):
Things that are under the habitability. Standards do you do
understand you do understand the fact that you have a. Dog,
okay so give us something That i'm not hearing a bad.
Speaker 15 (01:52:25):
Landlord, no let me explain more about THE hvac. Situation
it has nothing to do with it needing to advance or.
Anything it's more of a system, failing crashing every time
the height or the weather heights peak or they're at
their lowest in the winter and the beginning of the.
Speaker 14 (01:52:41):
Summer so, okay and.
Speaker 15 (01:52:43):
Then recently when summer, started it's. Failing the system that's
connected to the. Furnace the wiring was all jacked up
to the point WHERE i wasn't even able to put
in my new, filter AND i had to have the
leasing agent come over and he messed it up more
to the point where they had to come out and
bring a car tractor to totally repair something in the.
Speaker 6 (01:53:02):
Unit, well once, again What i'm hearing is you had a,
problem they send a contractor out and now that's no
longer a.
Speaker 2 (01:53:10):
Problem would that be correct.
Speaker 15 (01:53:15):
In a?
Speaker 1 (01:53:15):
Way?
Speaker 2 (01:53:16):
Yes, okay.
Speaker 3 (01:53:19):
So, divina are you it Sounds i'm perplexed, too because
it sounds like you have an older home and and
they're trying to fix things that they can. Fix and
by the, way THE hvac system is definitely part of
habitability standards that have to work for. You so you're
(01:53:40):
correct in wanting THE hvac to work. Correctly but so
far it is working, Right, yeah not.
Speaker 15 (01:53:49):
The way it should, be but, yes it is. Working
and we do have, heat we have cold. Air but
let's say if there's too much power running in the,
house everything just goes black in.
Speaker 2 (01:53:58):
The what wait a, Minute wait a.
Speaker 3 (01:54:00):
Minute so, So, divina here's here's WHAT i need to.
Know if the, temperatures since Your grandma's, THERE i want
to know. This if the temperatures go way down, tonight
will that furnace keep you guys?
Speaker 15 (01:54:11):
Warm, yes it.

Speaker 2 (01:55:25):

Speaker 15 (01:55:28):
Course so let me just make a. STATEMENT i rented
this house In denver Through Remax. Edge since moving in This,
January i've been living inside with ste was like a
home improvement. Nightmare only nobody's improving. Anything the stove weak's,
gas the ace back barely, works the heat never reaches

Speaker 15 (01:56:27):
Immediately, okay, Yes i'm going off the phone and call
them in a. Second.
Speaker 5 (01:56:31):
Good.
Speaker 15 (01:56:32):
Good it's just so. Much it's just so much that
the h, fact the power outages that have been happening,
sporadically all of the cosmetic. Stuff you, know it's.
Speaker 2 (01:56:41):
Chop you know that's not, Cosmetic. Divina you it sounds
like you have some real.
Speaker 3 (01:56:46):
Issues but what you need to do is you need
to isolate them and be very. Specific the gas leak
is very. Specific but when you say all of THE hvac,
problems you're not telling us. Anything if it got cold.
Speaker 2 (01:57:01):
Tonight will you stay warm with that?
Speaker 3 (01:57:03):
Furnace and you said, yes you still haven't told us
what is wrong with the heating.
Speaker 2 (01:57:09):
System you haven't told us, Anything, yeah of.
Speaker 15 (01:57:13):
Course, Okay so the house is pretty, big so it
doesn't reach the back of the house facing the, Backyard,
okay in the front and some downstairs near the.
Speaker 3 (01:57:22):
Furnace, okay so the heating, system the heating system is
not adequate for the whole, house, yes.
Speaker 2 (01:57:31):
Okay do they say they will put in a new heating.
Speaker 15 (01:57:34):
System, No, okay they never mentioned any of. That.
Speaker 2 (01:57:41):
Okay you need, Well.
Speaker 3 (01:57:43):
Divina you need to make very specific demands in a.
Speaker 2 (01:57:47):
Letter, okay it has to be in, writing but it
has to be.
Speaker 3 (01:57:51):
Specific you can't say we're having all kinds of problems
And i'm sick and tired of this, place or.
Speaker 2 (01:57:58):
This is doing this AND i.
Speaker 3 (01:58:00):
Feel Like i'm taking advantage of because of my.

(01:59:18):
the air and THE hva system not keeping the house.
Warm once you do, that then we have grounds to

Things the landlord is trying to cover his own ass
at the, moment and they willow owner's. INFORMATION i already
contacted the property management.
Speaker 3 (02:00:12):
Company, okay then you're, allowed but you better do this
under very specific. Guidelines you're allowed to withhold rent to
fix the. Issues you can't just withhold. Rent don't do.
Speaker 2 (02:00:25):
That you'll be.
Speaker 3 (02:00:25):

divina tell them you'd like to end your, lease And
i'll bet you they'll let you. Out call us back
after you ask them, that ask them to let you
out of the, lease and they probably will tell them
you want to move somewhere, Else but make sure you
get somewhere lined up before you do.
