Speaker 5 (02:04):
What's on your mind? I'm on. I don't think you're

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Okay, Well, I'll be sure to tune into that camera
if I want to see two old dudes sitting on
their asses. I mean, I'm not sure why we have
the camera up there. I'm just kidding guys. Anyway, with
Deputy Dollar Deputy Chopper at the studio, we got Deputy Mark,
not Deputy Mark Major, Mark Major at the home studio.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
I'm at my home studio.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
If you're streaming, you can tune us in and if not,
just however you're listening.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Welcome.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Let's go to the phones and find out what's on
your mind. Let's really and then we have another issue
coming up. It's probably the first issue we've had with
a trans person having a problem with health insurance. I
did some research on that issue. We'll talk about that. Randy,
what is going on with your contractor?
Speaker 3 (03:10):
Randy? What's happening?
Speaker 7 (03:12):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (03:13):
How you doing? I'm doing good man, what's happening with you?
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Well?
Speaker 8 (03:17):
I pulled a contractor off your referral list. Yes, and
it's almost I don't know, eight months?
Speaker 3 (03:27):
Eight months? Okay, Well the job, yeah.
Speaker 8 (03:31):
He completed the job. But there's some issues that.
Speaker 5 (03:39):
Who'd you pull off? Who'd you pull off the referral list?
Who is it?
Speaker 4 (03:44):
Todd?
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Who?
Speaker 7 (03:46):
I mean?
Speaker 1 (03:47):
It's with that let me jump in here with high
Planes Contracting?
Speaker 9 (03:53):
Hold on, Randy, Mark, what were you going to say there?
With high Planes Contracting? His name is Todd. I've been
involved in this one for what seems like forever, but
realistically maybe a month or so. Todd promised me he
would get out there and finish this thing in a
two week.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Timeframe, and that was quite a while ago.
Speaker 9 (04:14):
I'm not exactly sure looking at my notes, but it's
definitely been over two weeks. And my assumption is, Randy,
you still have not talked to him. No, Kelly, just
get him, just get him on the phone. I don't
know what else to do. I've talked to the guy
I got. I basically mediated this entire thing. We all,
what is the issue? What is the issue? The issue
(04:37):
is he installed a deck and according to the caller,
he didn't do it right. That's arguable, but one part
of the deck is definitely messed up, there's no doubt
about it.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Todd agreed to fix it.
Speaker 9 (04:49):
He said the board was in stock or whatever, and
he was going to get it done, and he assured
me it would be done within a two week period.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
And here we are again.
Speaker 9 (04:58):
I emailed him again last Friday saying, hey, Randy's emailing
me again.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
What's going on?
Speaker 9 (05:05):
You said two weeks and it's passed two weeks and
now he's ghosting as well.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Oh that doesn't sound good.
Speaker 5 (05:13):
Well, we definitely need to take him off through referral
list until this is solid.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
He's not He hasn't been on for a while and that.
Speaker 5 (05:19):
Was okay, Okay, So he hasn't been on for a while,
and Randy, we are going to try to get him
on the phone.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
What t still need to be fixed? Randy?
Speaker 8 (05:32):
Well, they screwed a lot of the stuff down, and
they didn't predrill any of the composite before they screwed
it down. So all those screws that they put in
mushrooms along the south side.
Speaker 5 (05:50):
What do you mean you okay, so you have a
composite deck. Your composite deck is what does it mean? Mushrooming?
I've never heard that expression.
Speaker 8 (06:01):
Well, wherever the screws were put in, it bulges up.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
They didn't pre drill.
Speaker 9 (06:09):
You're supposed to according to the manufacturer's specs, which I
personally read, you're supposed to pre drill. Now you don't
have to. It doesn't avoid a warranty. But one of
the things by not pre drilling the holes, it can
cause that mushrooming effect. So the head of the screw
when it goes down into a hole that's not pre drilled,
kind of pops up a little bit.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
Does that make sense to you?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yes, yes, yes, yes, they're mushrooming. Okay, Well that's a
new term for me.
Speaker 5 (06:38):
But we are certainly going to get on Todd right
now and see what's going on.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Mark.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
He sounded pretty willing to take care of it though.
Speaker 9 (06:45):
Right well, this guy, so Randy, had a plethora of issues,
and honestly most of them I didn't have any issue with.
And what I mean by that is he said they
didn't pre drill, so therefore I want to have a
warranty on it. But I dug in with the manufacturer
and found out he absolutely does have a warranty. And
(07:06):
Todd agreed to where if there is issues in the
future because they didn't pre drill, like more mushrooming, which
there shouldn't be because it's already installed, he would handle it.
So I didn't see any reason for any kind of refund.
So we all came to an agreement. But the problem
is Todd is now breaking the agreement, and honest to God,
it's driving me nuts.
Speaker 3 (07:28):
Okay, updated Todd. Todd cannot come on right now. He's
available probably after lunchtime.
Speaker 9 (07:34):
So he says, Okay, they know you were calling Kelly, correct, yes,
and did you talk to him?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yes? I did, and I specifically, I.
Speaker 9 (07:42):
Just don't even I don't know what to make of it.
He was on a referral list forever. Now he's just
ghosting people. And it's over a board. It's not even
a big damn thing. All he's got to do is
say whatever happened, But he doesn't want to do that.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
Let me ask you something, what is the fix for this?
Does he have to remove all those planks and put
new No?
Speaker 1 (08:00):
No, no, just like how many boards Randy? One or two?
Speaker 8 (08:05):
Yeah, there's I think three along that.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Oh my god. Okay, okay, Marcus.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Here, it's nothing. It's such a nothing burger.
Speaker 9 (08:12):
I'm just baffled why he hasn't got it done, and
even more baffled when I email him last week, going,
it's way past two weeks. This guy's blowing me up again.
What the hell's going on? I get nothing back?
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Wow?
Speaker 8 (08:27):
Okay, this started back in July. We all right, holding contract.
Speaker 5 (08:32):
Randy, hold on and there's a few boards that need
to be fixed.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
I mean, I'm sure we can get on that.
Speaker 10 (08:38):
I can go over there, depending on where a caller lives,
I can go over there and screw in those screws.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
It sounds like they're back.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
It's not screwing them in.
Speaker 9 (08:44):
You got to replace them because those boards were mushroom.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
But I miss the point where you'll pay for the.
Speaker 9 (08:49):
Damn boards if you'll put him in And I'll bring
this up every god dang day till my death.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
Now you're pissed at hint at Randy, I mean, excuse
me at Yeah, he makes me.
Speaker 9 (09:00):
Like an asshole because I told this guy it would
be done.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
In two weeks.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, we're going to get it. We're going
to get a hold of Todd. Although listen, I want
to be clear, we're not talking about a major problem.
But what's major is is that Todd said he would
take care of it and he hasn't done it. Thank you,
Randy for calling us. We will be on top of this. Ryan,
you're up next. We have to take this break, but

on with walmart Ryan? What's happening?
Speaker 8 (10:40):
Oh?
Speaker 11 (10:41):
I appreciate you taking my call?
Speaker 4 (10:43):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (10:43):
Yes, Ryan, what's happening?
Speaker 11 (10:45):
It's been going on for three months. I'll try to
give you a shorter version as there's.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
A lot to it.
Speaker 11 (10:50):
But anyways, bought a clawfoot bats up from Walmart back
in September, Walmart dot com, and so it took them
a little bit to get it delivered to us. You know,
first off, the delivery time was late. They didn't deliver
(11:11):
it in our backyard as requested, and they just dropped
it off in our front walkway of our street. And
you know, it's a pretty busy street. And it's a
five hundred pound claw food bathtub. And so we go
to open up the packaging because it's on a crate
and palette and it was it was covered up, and
(11:32):
the color of the tub was wrong. It was supposed
to be a matt black bathtub and it was just
all white all around. So called up Walmart dot com
Support immediately told them about the situation, how it wasn't
delivered the correct spot, different color.
Speaker 5 (11:51):
And we at this point, at this point, the color
is all that matters. So what are they going to
do about it?
Speaker 3 (11:59):
Correct?
Speaker 11 (12:00):
So they refuse to immediately ship out a new one.
For their policy, they have to come and hire a
freight company, have the freight company come out pick up
the old tub. It has to be shipped back to
their warehouse then processed and then at that point, once
(12:23):
it's been processed, they could ship out a new tub.
But that I was told that that timeframe could be
you know, two to three weeks, which we were kind
of under the gun with the contractor to get you know,
things done, And I was like, is there anything else
we can do? So I thought outside the box and
I said, how about if I order another tub, the
(12:45):
exact same one, and at least you can get that
shipped out and then we can.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
Figure out the other part.
Speaker 11 (12:50):
So they agreed to it, and I mentioned multiple times
can you please confirm that this is a map Lack
bats that I ordered? Oh, yes, no problem, you know
it'll be Matt black and long story short the first time, Yeah,
three months later, is still sitting on my front porch.
Speaker 5 (13:13):
By the way, company at home Run, did you did
you ever get the black tub?
Speaker 11 (13:19):
Not from Walmart? They shipped three different tubs, all were
the same white color, and that color isn't even available
on the Walmart dot com website.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
Ryan, why when they shipped these three tubs? Are all
of the tubs returned from Walmart right now? Or is
there one still there?
Speaker 11 (13:39):
Yeah, there's one. The original one from back in September
is still sitting on my front porch.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
What happened? What happened to the other wrong ones?
Speaker 11 (13:50):
I knowing that they screwed up on the first one.
When I saw the truck come up to the front porch,
I ran outside, Oh, and have to verify the color
of the tub before they pulled it off, because I
didn't want to have any more issues.
Speaker 9 (14:06):
And so I still want to know what vendor it is.
I don't think Walmart sells these directly. It was probably
a third party vendor. Who was it?
Speaker 11 (14:15):
Well, it was Walmart dot Com doing all the the fulfillments.
Speaker 9 (14:21):
And that's still I understand that. But it's very much
like Amazon. I mean, they're doing the fulfillment. I get that.
Who was the vendor?
Speaker 11 (14:31):
The vendor? Hold on one second, let me.
Speaker 9 (14:38):
Walmart does have a problem with allowing third party vendors
that don't do great business on there. They are attempting
to clean it up and they're getting there, but at
the moment there's a lot of third party vendors that
are just outright ripoffs on there.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Oh no, I hear you on that.
Speaker 11 (14:55):
So the tub is manufactured by Kingston Brand as.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
Okay, so right now you already canceled. All you want
them to do is pick up that tub? Is that correct?
Speaker 11 (15:10):
No, I've got I've got two big issues, and it says, and.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
I pull in what are the two big issues? Ryan?
Get to the two big issues?
Speaker 11 (15:20):
Okay, Amazon, or excuse me, Walmart still has eighteen dollars
times two of my money as far as that goes,
why do they have.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
Why do they have Why do they have thirty six
hundred dollars of yours?
Speaker 11 (15:39):
Because even after about fifteen attempts and talking to managers
to pick up the first original Tubuh, they never have.
The freight companies never come. No one's followed up.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
Like why do they have?
Speaker 5 (15:53):
Why do they have thirty six hundred dollars of your money?
Speaker 11 (15:57):
Because they charged me for baptobs.
Speaker 9 (16:01):
And they probably charged him for the second one until
they received the first one back. Can you forward us
that invoice so I can look at it during the break?
Speaker 11 (16:10):
Sure to the to the house.
Speaker 5 (16:12):
So wait a minute, so Walmart, Walmart, they only had
there's only one tub at your house, and you're being
charged for two of them, the one that's there and
the one that that that they reordered and h and.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
You want him to pick up the tub and refund your.
Speaker 11 (16:29):
Money, refund my money correct. And I even tried contacting
my credit card company to is she charged backs since
I reached out to them, like I said, a dozen
times to try to get them to pick it up.
And my credit card company ruled in Walmart's favor, even
on the one that returned.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
What do you mean ruled in their favor? What did
Walmart say? Did Walmart say it was a legit charge?
Speaker 11 (16:53):
Yep, they and they just had paperwork saying hey, he
ordered it, we shipped it, and they wiped the hands
of it in. My credit card company, which is paypalt
Or a synchrony, said we need written fruit. And I'm like,
I've told you the story. You see the invoices. I
have a picture of the tubs sitting in my front porch.
(17:15):
You know, ask for you know, they say they record
all their calls, ask for their calls. Everything's verbal, and
they say they can't do anything with verbal. They need
things in writing.
Speaker 7 (17:25):
And I said, all I have is the invoices.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
This is appy they charged me.
Speaker 11 (17:29):
You know that's so small, Like.
Speaker 5 (17:31):
OK, so you're out thirty six hundred plus. You have
a tub there you don't want, and Walmart do they
refuse to recognize that there's only one tub at your place?
I mean the worst case scenario, I mean, or their
best case scenario. They charge you for the tub that's
still there. But why are they charging you for two
(17:53):
if the other one was sent back?
Speaker 11 (17:56):
Exactly? And you got me, And that's why I'm stuck
between a rock and a hard place. And I mean,
I think a dozen calls to try to get erectified
and speaking to five or six managers should suffice Thatt's
seeing everything.
Speaker 7 (18:11):
But it hasn't.
Speaker 11 (18:11):
And that's why I shoot the chargebacks because I just
want to get this this bathub out of my yard
and you know, get my money back.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
Do you happen to have a couch sitting next to
the tub.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
This is terrible, Now, this is terrible. This is a nightmare.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
I mean, when you called, you have one person you
talk to, Ryan, who do you talk to when you call?
Speaker 11 (18:34):
It's you know, unfortunately you know it's Walmart dot com support.
So you just call, you know, you punch in your
information and you just speak to you know, whichever random
person you know, whatever country you know is uh, you know, responding,
and then when they can't and.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
You're in your credit card says it's legit. Man, I
don't know.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
Hold on, we got to think about how to handle
this one. This one is weird, but it's a challenge.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Hey, I'm Tom Martine.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
You're a troubleshooter three all three seven to one three
talks seven one three eight two five five. By the way,
to summarize this problem, it almost sounds unbelievable. Ryan bought
a claw foot bathtub from Walmart. They delivered a white tub,
but he had ordered black. They made two more attempts
to correct problem, but the tubs were still white and
(20:42):
were sent back. Now he is being charged for the
wrong tub still at his house and the replacement tub
which was never delivered, for a total of thirty.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
Eight hundred dollars. I mean, this is this is crazy.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
I mean, and he even tried to dispute on this
credit card. And I can't believe Walmart would respond saying
it was correct.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
That's the part we don't understand, Ryan.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
They actually responded, what do you know what they said
in their response, Did your credit card company tell you
what they said?
Speaker 11 (21:17):
They didn't share much. They just said they provided PaperWorks
showing the charge was legit and it was shifted diabeting sin.
Speaker 3 (21:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but but.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
At most, at most they should charge you for one.
Why are they charging you for two?
Speaker 11 (21:36):
Exactly? And that was my contention the whole time. I said,
I literally refused the other two tubs they received, that
they received them both back in October. Why am I
losing this charge back? And she had no explanations saying.
All she said was we have Walmart's side and we
don't have yours. And I said, excuse me, I've told
(21:58):
my side of the story multiple times, and she's like,
we need emails and things in writing, and I'm like,
I don't have that all of my also Walmart the
two invoices.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
This is absolutely crazy.
Speaker 5 (22:12):
It's absolutely crazy.
Speaker 11 (22:15):
You're telling me, and I saw the tub that I mean,
I can't move or you know, I can't even take
it to Walmart because they would, you know. So I'm
really stuck between a rock and a hard place. I
just want to be done with this nightmare.
Speaker 5 (22:28):
Okay, we need to see a picture of the invoice
to see who you're dealing with.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Them.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah, this is this is I don't even know what
you sent me though. Man, this is like.
Speaker 9 (22:43):
If I hit view order, I would assume it says
we're having technical issues access for Biden.
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Are you talking about? What was it?
Speaker 1 (22:54):
It's like a PDF of it.
Speaker 9 (22:55):
I mean I can't log into your account and see it.
Speaker 11 (23:00):
Okay, yeah, I just I just copy and pasted the
both of the email orders as far as that goes.
Would it be better to take a picture?
Speaker 6 (23:09):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Probably, I don't know.
Speaker 9 (23:10):
But what you sent me is nothing. I mean I
can't even look at it when I click on it.
Speaker 11 (23:16):
Okay, fair enough, I can just take a picture of it,
you know, the the email not a problem.
Speaker 10 (23:22):
To his account, and it just texted a verification code
to a phone number that ends in twenty one. So
if our caller can give me that verification code, then i'll, uh,
I'll be able to sneak into his account.
Speaker 11 (23:37):
All right, Okay, do you want me to tell it?
Tell your phone?
Speaker 3 (23:40):
Yeah, it's no, not on, not over the phone, nobody else.
Speaker 10 (23:44):
Okay, yeah, let me know what that code is, please
slowly three zero three three two eight.
Speaker 3 (23:52):
Thank you, three zero three three two.
Speaker 6 (23:54):
All right, I'm going to order my Christmas gift.
Speaker 5 (23:56):
So you're going into apparently find all right, hold on, Ryan,
I got to get back to you. I want to
go to Cynthia now or Christina. I'm sorry, Christina, what's
going on with you?
Speaker 3 (24:07):
Hello? Christina?
Speaker 7 (24:09):
Hi?
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Tom?
Speaker 7 (24:10):
Hi Mark?
Speaker 3 (24:11):
What's going on?
Speaker 2 (24:12):
I have I've got a question, a couple of questions
about a twenty twenty four grain deep Cherokee.
Speaker 8 (24:18):
It's an EV.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Both my daughter and I leased these from Prestige Dodge
in Longmont last year.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
They're evs.
Speaker 7 (24:27):
Yes, yeah, look a hybrids.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
There have been lots of recalls on this cheap everything's
been fixable except for these last two safety recalls that
we've received. One is for possible sand in the engine
compartment from I guess when it's cast and so that
has no no fix right now, and they're saying it
(24:53):
can possibly cause fire or loss of immediate propulsion, which
can cause me.
Speaker 3 (24:58):
I see the recall.
Speaker 5 (24:59):
It's sand or debris from manufacturing leftover in the engine
block God, and can cause engine failure or even fires.
Speaker 7 (25:12):
Right, that's one of them.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
And then the latest one that just came out, which
also has no fix, is that the high voltage battery
can become damaged during normal operations, so don't charge it,
which is why we lease these vehicles, so we were
not spending money on gas. They don't want it parked
in the garage or near a structure, and they want
(25:34):
you to not.
Speaker 5 (25:34):
Well, okay, hold on a second, are you kidding me?
Speaker 8 (25:37):
What I mean?
Speaker 5 (25:40):
And so what are you supposed to do? Just accept this?
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Well, that's I guess that's my question. I mean, obviously
it's a hybrid, so it can still be driven with gas.
But then I'm wondering why did we lease these cars
if the one of the main functions of being able
to not have to pay for gas, and after investing
in a charger in the garage, things like are.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
They saying do they say they're working on these problems?
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Well, well sure it's you know, there's no fix yet,
will notify you when. And I'm just thinking to myself,
what can what can I do as a consumers?
Speaker 5 (26:20):
That's a good question, because that's a good question. I mean,
it's a great question. What should you do? It sounds
weird to me that you should have to put up
with this.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
What does the dealer say, well, that's the question.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
I haven't called them yet because I wanted to know
if I had a leg to stand on before I
called them and.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
Said thank god, I would say so.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
I mean, if they can't fix these problems in a
reasonable amount of time, you didn't get what you paid for.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
And that's my concern.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
I don't feel like we released two vehicles from them.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Okay, I don't say.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
It would be a Lemon law. I think you just
go through the Lemon law.
Speaker 2 (26:57):
Well, but it's not. But I thought Lemon law had
to be the same problem it does.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
It is the problem. You can't plug it in and
charge it.
Speaker 5 (27:06):
You No, no, they're recommending you don't write. But technically see,
I'm trying to figure out where what I'm trying to
figure out what she does under the Lemon law because
it has to be loss of use or it has
to be they can't fix the problem in several attempts,
but they haven't made attempts.
Speaker 9 (27:26):
Well, I guess they needed in an engine. They could
argue you could always push it.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Sure, Okay, you know from the engine block contamination. It
sounds to me like an engine block contamination. What are
they going to do about that? Are they going to
give you.
Speaker 3 (27:46):
A new engine?
Speaker 5 (27:47):
It seems like you need a new engine and a
battery control module. I would go to listen, you really
deserve something here.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
This sucks. You can't and you're obviously not the only one.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
Right two in this household. It's just two in our
own household that we've got two vehicles that it's like,
so we're back to gas, which is fine, But then
do I feel comfortable parking it in the garage when
they say please don't park it in your garage or
you're a structure because it may catch fire?
Speaker 5 (28:17):
No, I mean they say, do not park and avoid
recharging until the recall repair. Listen, I know what they're
going to say, that the recall is being worked on that.
You know that's what they're going to say. But get
on a call the dealer and at.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
Least let them know that.
Speaker 5 (28:35):
You know, maybe will they give you what you paid
for them? Maybe on a trade in, as long as
they don't up the cost of the new one. Would
you be willing to do that?
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Well, we leased them, you mean, you know, going into
another leaf situation.
Speaker 5 (28:52):
I don't know if I want to Yeah, but yeah, no,
I don't want it to screw you.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
It has to be this is crazy.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Yeah, I mean, if they want, if they we've taken
great care of the cars that they want them back,
I'm happy to do.
Speaker 3 (29:03):
That and just go.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Just let me out of this thing so I can
get into something that at least I feel comfortable with.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
But I just yeah, but I don't want to. I
don't want to. Here's what I don't want to happen.
Speaker 5 (29:14):
I don't want you guys to be like screwed over
on a new lease for example.
Speaker 9 (29:19):
You know what I'm saying, This clearly meets Lemon law.
I mean, we can get on any attorney in the world.
I don't know why this wouldn't be Lemon law. She
bought it, she cannot charge it. Therefore they've got to
fix it. And if they can't fix it in a
period of time, they need to undo the deal.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yeah, but they're gonna they're gonna argue.
Speaker 9 (29:39):
It doesn't matter, she needs to start the process. They're
gonna argue until they have to undo the deal.
Speaker 5 (29:46):
They're gonna argue that she didn't lose you so to
the vehicle.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
If she lose.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Complete, she can't charge it.
Speaker 9 (29:52):
She's limited to gas mode only, which reduces.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
The efficiency the range.
Speaker 9 (29:58):
She also has a five or risk a safety problem
according to the manufacturer.
Speaker 5 (30:05):
Yeah, what we need to do is find an attorney
worth their weight that will take these cases.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
That's the problem. We have two attorneys.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
Now that have ghosted us, that apparently do consumer Lemon
law of things. And I don't think we can get
a hold of any of them. Uh maybe if consumers
call them directly, but I don't.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
Even think she can't.
Speaker 9 (30:24):
She started herself right through the BBB. It's like the
only thing they do right.
Speaker 5 (30:30):
Well, it's they were they've been charged with doing this.
You start you start it there? Yeah, and uh, I.
Speaker 2 (30:37):
Guess that's the question. How do I How do I
start this? What's my first step? Is it with the
dealership and saying, look, this is an issue. There's two
cards we want out of these.
Speaker 5 (30:47):
That's what you start with. Yes, yes, okay, that's the
first step. But then you have to go it's I
believe it's called autocap.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
I believe.
Speaker 5 (30:58):
But to file a Lemon law claim again, I I
think you have a stronger than Lemon law. I think
you can go straight for replacement.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
You have to note the first thing.
Speaker 5 (31:10):
Look, I just look, you have to notify the manufacturer
and writing.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
That's the first thing.
Speaker 9 (31:14):
That's right, the very first thing, and that's uh Stilantis,
North America. I guess that's what makes jeep. There's a
good template right here on what to write them. Then
you got to file with the manufacturer's arbitration program, which
is the BBB and that is on BBB dot org
forward slash auto line.
Speaker 5 (31:36):
So the first step is writing to the manufacturer, and
i'd copy the dealer saying you want to be you
want you want to get rid of these vehicles. You
want them to fix it or buy it back, because
because you don't feel comfortable, I mean, you can't even
park it in your damn garage.
Speaker 9 (31:53):
Here's a there's also and if you email me, I'll
send you this information step one, two and three. It's
listing three different attorneys Jason Knowles, Timothy Beale, and somebody else.
And they all do it on contingency if they think
you have a good case.
Speaker 5 (32:11):
Okay, so Mark, you got the name of a law
firm there, Yeah, Well at name three of them.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
Is whatever happened to it was her name Raya.
Speaker 9 (32:24):
What about what I think happens, Tom, and it's our
own fault. Having them on air as an expert is
one thing. It's good for us, it's good for the show,
it's good for the listeners. But I think the problem
is and everybody that has any issue when they buy
a vehicle from a used car dealer, never got a
checked out. Three months later, all of a sudden, that
attorney that we have on is an expert, gets one
(32:47):
thousand bad calls, meaning none of them are valid for
them to do anything, And all of a sudden they
see it just starts taking up time left and right.
I mean, do you get it?
Speaker 3 (32:57):
No, that sounds right to me. We have to take
this break, have more right after.

Speaker 12 (36:55):
For then we have ten percent off of our regular price.
We have one hundred dollars off if you commit to

the weight loss drugs.

We often combine them with growth stimulating hormones growth simulating
pepside so that people don't lose muscle mass. We tailor
everybody's individual treatment plan to their specific needs.
Speaker 5 (37:23):
And as far as stem cell therapy, we always get
the same questions, so I'm just gonna before we even

That's what a lot of clinics don't do, those two
areas of the box lower, lower back, and neck. You
did wonders for my lower back.
Speaker 5 (37:51):
I did have surgery eventually, but that's a whole different story.
Had nothing to do with stem cell. If anything, stem
cell made it so I didn't feel I needed it
after I had it done.
Speaker 3 (38:04):
You do tennis elbow, Yeah.
Speaker 12 (38:05):
We do a lot of tennis elbow. Our bread and
butther is really nearthrit a need to general of arthritis,
really general arthritis. We prevent a lot of people from
needing to have joint replacement surgery, whether it's shoulder, shoulders,
knees hips, primarily.
Speaker 5 (38:18):
Okay, any questions, give us a call now on this
Walmart thing.
Speaker 3 (38:22):
We're just baffled. We don't understand it. We're trying to
find out more about it. But Ryan ordered a claw
foot bathtub from Walmart. Okay, he ordered a white one.
It came in. No, he ordered a black one. It
came in white.
Speaker 5 (38:42):
They made two more attempts to correct the problem, but
the tubs were still white and were sent back. But
now he's being charged for the wrong tubs still at
his house and the replacement tub, which was never delivered,
for a total of thirty eight hundred dollars. He says
no one will help him at Walmart, no one, and
(39:06):
there is no solution. The tub sits there and he
charged thirty eight hundred his own credit card.
Speaker 3 (39:12):
People won't listen to him. He doesn't know what to do.
Speaker 5 (39:15):
I think it was PayPal though, Oh well, okay, that's
that is, by the way, very very uh that's very important.
If you pay through PayPal, you don't have the same
rights to contest you as you do with your credit card.
People think that PayPal protects them. You actually have more
protection with your credit card.
Speaker 3 (39:36):
So how did you pay Ryan? Was it through?
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Uh?
Speaker 11 (39:40):
Yeah, just just to quarify, it's a PayPal branded master
card through Synchrony Bank. So it is a credit card
and it was run as a credit card transaction, not
via like PayPal or have.
Speaker 7 (39:54):
You or what have you?
Speaker 5 (39:55):
Okay, got it? So they refuse to take the charge.
Arge off. I'm thinking, guys, that he takes Walmart to
small claims court. I mean, I don't know what else
he would do. It's under the amount. Did you try calling?
Did you try getting on his account?
Speaker 13 (40:15):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (40:15):
Tom, I did try to get into his account, but
the error message I got is Oops, something went wrong.
Speaker 6 (40:20):
Your account is not available.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
Uh.
Speaker 10 (40:23):
I mean we could before he starts suing Walmart, I
would just, you know, we could give it a shot.
We just we could call Walmart press relations. We just
need a copy of our callers invoice to to prove
the Why can't you get us a copy of the invoice?
Speaker 1 (40:39):
Print an invoice?
Speaker 7 (40:40):
Man?
Speaker 11 (40:40):
I think I already emailed. I printed both of the
the email receipts out to you guys, and send him
to a PDF to.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
You, Kelly, send him over to us.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
Okay, we'll get well, we'll put you on hold for
a minute then, And uh, people have been asking about Brie.
Brie was on the show Oh yesterday, and Brie is
transitioning from male to female.
Speaker 3 (41:08):
And got preapproved for hair removal.
Speaker 5 (41:15):
And it was considered not cosmetic, but it was considered
medically necessary, and so she went ahead and had it done.
The hair removal by laser Away. Now, laser Away is
not will not deal with insurance, so she paid for
(41:35):
it directly and out of pocket. I think around three grand.
Now United Healthcare will not reimburse her. They say that
laser Away needs to give them a W nine, but
that doesn't seem right because Laserway.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
Is wine needs to come from Brie.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
That's exactly right. So you talked or you read the email.
Speaker 5 (42:06):
I talked to John Jones over at Integra Insurance, and
he said, if Bree's the one being reimbursed, she needs
to submit the W nine to United Healthcare and ask
for reimbursement, referencing.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
The pre approval.
Speaker 5 (42:23):
Now she may only get paid a certain amount, but
she should get paid something.
Speaker 9 (42:29):
Well, well, he said, blank actually got the full amount, Okayed,
So I mean really, all she has to do is
either go through connect for Health or log into the
consumer complaint portal or whatever they have there the Colorado
Division of Insurance. I'm sure it's right there online, some
kind of portal, and I think it'll get done fairly quickly.
(42:52):
I don't think that company needs to provide a W
nine because they're not the ones getting reimbursed.
Speaker 3 (42:58):
That's right, that's exactactly right.
Speaker 5 (43:01):
So we're trying to get Breed back on to talk
about this, but that's where we stand right now.
Speaker 3 (43:06):
We think that United Health.
Speaker 9 (43:08):
And it says here, after she does that online, which
is recommended the Consumer Complaint Portal, they have twenty days
to respond being whatever insurance company she has, and then
they want them to solve the problem or resolve it
in thirty to sixty days. So I mean, really, it's
(43:29):
going to go pretty quick once you fill.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
That out, right.
Speaker 5 (43:34):
So in fact that they were adamant about going online
and doing that, they sa they're not.
Speaker 9 (43:40):
Being transparent something stupid here. Really, what they need to
do is just fill this out because the insurance company
should be paying this. The No Surprise Act, which is
one of the few things I think we've done right
in Colorado when it comes to health insurance, basically talks
about this, if they okay.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
They need to pay it.
Speaker 7 (44:02):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (44:03):
I like that.
Speaker 3 (44:03):
That sounds like Johnny Cochran, If they okay it, they
need to pay it.
Speaker 10 (44:06):
Hey, guys, I I heard part of that call yesterday
and it was very clear to me without Bree saying
it is that the W nine request went to brie
for Breeze W nine information, and that's consistent with all
high experience while.
Speaker 3 (44:22):
On a check. I thought Brees said they were asking
the other ones.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
Yeah, I can't say.
Speaker 9 (44:27):
Dimitri Brees said they are insisting on the laser removal
businesses W nine.
Speaker 6 (44:35):
That doesn't sound correct at all.
Speaker 1 (44:37):
It makes no sense because they're not the ones getting reimbursed.
Speaker 10 (44:40):
Yeah, if the company will request your W nine when
they write a check.
Speaker 3 (44:44):
To you, not to at a party, that's right.
Speaker 9 (44:48):
That's why she needs to go to the insurance division
and just get it done. And she needs to quote
the no Surprise Act.
Speaker 3 (44:56):
Okay, that's what we're going to tell her to do.
Speaker 9 (44:59):
We want to know a lot of times we give
this advice. How many times have we said, oh, this
is a no brainer in small claims. In fact, they'll
probably settle before you even get the mediation. And people
just don't go through the hoops.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
I mean, I never know.
Speaker 9 (45:12):
I know, think of all the hoops Breeze going through.
Think of all the hoops she's going through. But will
she go through this oop?
Speaker 1 (45:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (45:20):
No. But and when we give this advice, it's not
just you know, to to get them off the phone.
We really mean it, and then we'll give the same
advice to Ryan. Once we contact Walmart, we'll have some
advice for him. Sometimes we can get directly involved and
solve the problem.
Speaker 9 (45:37):
Hey, Dmitri, when you got your laser hair removal, how
did you get reimbursed?
Speaker 5 (45:44):
Hey, we got more coming up on the Troubleshooter Show.

and at the first November I notified them that I
was giving them thirty days notice that we were going

Speaker 11 (47:15):

Speaker 1 (47:17):
What exactly did they do?

So you wanted to cancel, You gave them thirty days notice,
which I assume was in the contract or agreement you had.
Speaker 1 (47:43):
And where do we stand now?
Speaker 14 (47:45):
And here's here's the one caveat here they told me
that there could be a early termination pee and I said, okay,
that's fine. I said, well send me my contract because
I didn't remember. They cannot provide me with a signed contract,
they said me, a copy of the contract, not with
my signature, and what.
Speaker 9 (48:04):
Does the contract say? Out of curiosity, let's pretend it
was signed.
Speaker 14 (48:08):
Sign Okay, to be honest with you, I haven't. I
really haven't read it, to be honest.
Speaker 9 (48:14):
Okay, Well, that would be the first thing i'd want
to do. I understand your argument. You don't have a
sign one and apparently they don't have one, which is
a hell of a good argument. I mean, I wouldn't
mind calling over there for you.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
What are they asking you to do?
Speaker 9 (48:28):
Are they saying you got to give us a twelve
year heads up? What are they saying?
Speaker 3 (48:34):
Well?
Speaker 14 (48:34):
Okay, so here's the way this whole company works. They
have an Englewood address over on Maplewood, but all of
their texts are nationwide. And I'm we're sure the girl
back in West Virginia east for him or whatever, and
she I can't get them to do the offscoorting to
give us all of our credentials. And Friday when I left,
when I talked.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
To her, oh my god. So well I get it.
Speaker 3 (48:55):
I get it.
Speaker 1 (48:56):
They're they're they're basically holding you hostage.
Speaker 3 (48:59):
Thank you.
Speaker 14 (49:01):
That's what they've done for many years because they have
never provided us with all of our passwords because they say, say,
you know what, we don't know who gets into your
computer and it.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
Will we say, yeah, I understand.
Speaker 9 (49:13):
So oh my goodness, goodness, I need to see I
want to see that agreement and I want the information.
You have to contact somebody over there. And I have
a person that literally works in this space every single day,
and I want to get with him and see what
he wants to uh, how he would tackle it.
Speaker 14 (49:34):
Okay, okay, yeahcause my emails and my telephone calls and
you know rest they're just being ignored.
Speaker 1 (49:42):
Now, give me an idea.
Speaker 9 (49:44):
Give me an idea of something that they won't release
to you that you couldn't change. In other words, if
it's set up under your email to change the password,
I would assume you could change the password.
Speaker 14 (49:57):
Well, the company that I'm working with right now that
I want to transition over to, you know, they say, well,
we can bring your system down for a whole day
and we can bust this. And I said, yeah, but
you're gonna have to do it on a Saturday or
Sunday because I can't do it during the week.
Speaker 9 (50:13):
But they will not.
Speaker 14 (50:14):
So there, okay, what I'm looking for. There's about six modules.
There's six things. One is trend micro, one is Arracudah,
which is a virus. Yeah, our backup, our backup program
which they back.
Speaker 9 (50:27):
Up into the crowd cloud air and these are all
things that they have the passwords set up on cha.
Speaker 3 (50:32):
Yes, yeah, Okay, I still.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
Don't see anything like the company you're talking to.
Speaker 9 (50:36):
I still don't. I'm not hearing anything that couldn't be
just redone. Sure at a cost, yeah, yeah, but switch
switching over.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
Switching over always comes with some growing pains, right, who's
switching over? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (50:53):
Did you sign an agreement with this new company yet?
Speaker 5 (50:58):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (50:58):
I did.
Speaker 5 (50:59):
I did.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
Wow, boy, you jumped the gun quick.
Speaker 7 (51:03):
Well.
Speaker 14 (51:04):
And here's the thing. I've worked with this other company
for the last two years. They came in when we
were doing our move to our new warehouses. They set
up all of our phones and all of that, and
then I get this company. The name of the company
is next to Stax. They did all of our computers,
and the whole time they were there, the phone guy
was there and I kept telling him myself, oh my god,
(51:25):
if I could find somebody to take over these for
these guys. I stood in a New York minute, But
you know, so I trust the guy wholeheartedly.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
Yeah, I got you.
Speaker 9 (51:35):
We'll send over that agreement too. When can you send
it over? I want to look at that and see
where you're out actually is and all the equipment I assume,
like the Barracuda backup, you guys.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
Own that, right, they don't own it?
Speaker 9 (51:48):
We correct, correct, Yeah, it's all going to be in
the detail of that contract. And hopefully they're not one
hundred percent out of the country. That would really suck.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
We suck and people and go ahead. No, no, I'm
go ahead, and then I'll finish.
Speaker 5 (52:06):
I have some advice for people getting into it and
using it companies.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
Go ahead, first, Susan, what did you have to say?
Speaker 14 (52:14):
Well, you know, like I said, the sales rep we
work with is in West Virginia, but her boss types
I believe here, is in Inglewood. And then I've got
to another email and the guy is she's something of
failed whatever. I got all written down at work. I'm
driving in my car and nobody will return our emails.
(52:38):
And so finally, yes, Sunday, Sorry, I sent an email
to my wrap and I said, hey, hey, you got
to give me this stuff because time is imperative and
if I have to pursue legal action, I will. I
have no problem. But better yet, I told my husband,
I said, I'm calling Tom.
Speaker 5 (52:54):
Yeah, yeah, listen, I'll tell you what and we do
want to see that agreement. As Mark said, But here's what.
Here's people listening. How many times have we heard this Mark?
When it comes to it or web development, where they
give out super administrative or super administrator privileges to the
(53:16):
companies and they need to retain ultimate control the consumer
who hires these companies. You need to have a way
to shut them out, otherwise they can hold you hostage.
It's there are different administrative levels that you grant people,
and you never.
Speaker 3 (53:35):
Give anyone a super duper.
Speaker 5 (53:38):
Super administrative level where you can't get in and change it.
Speaker 3 (53:42):
Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 9 (53:43):
In her case, it really doesn't matter because everything that
needs to be done can be done long as someone's there.
For example, that Barracuda backup, if you're in front of it,
literally in front of the equipment, you could reset it
to factory reset and.
Speaker 1 (53:58):
Just start a new back up instantly.
Speaker 3 (54:01):
Well that's good, that's good. What about your susan? So
did they did the company you want to get away from.
Are they ghosting you?
Speaker 14 (54:11):
Basically, no, they're just not They're not providing this. We
sent them an off boarding questionnaire which would provide all
of this stuff, and they just won't even fill out.
She keeps saying, I've sent it to the people to
do it, and nobody is getting it done for me.
Speaker 9 (54:32):
It's done for me.
Speaker 3 (54:33):
How do you are they still are they still? Are
they still paying you?
Speaker 14 (54:39):
They're still providing me services? And yeah, still billing me.
In fact, I just got my bills for November services,
and yeah, I have my bills for October services. And
I called and I talked to the accounts receivable lady
and I said, Carla, hey, I'm not going to pay
these bills until I get all my information. I'm going
to tell you that right here and now.
Speaker 7 (55:00):
Okay, so good, because you're not going to pay you
any more money.
Speaker 3 (55:05):
So you did cut off payment. That's good. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (55:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (55:11):
What I would pursue also while you're waiting for these
people to respond, is just taking control directly, going to
each one of your places and taking individual control. Send
that agreement though, so we can look at it. Okay,
all right, And what's the name of the it company you're.
Speaker 3 (55:30):
Dealing with, not the new one, the old one, the
one you want.
Speaker 1 (55:33):
To get rid of.
Speaker 3 (55:34):
What's the name of it.
Speaker 14 (55:35):
Yeah, it's called Nexus Tech n E x.
Speaker 3 (55:38):
Us t E k Okay, okay, Nexus Tech.
Speaker 5 (55:47):
Okay. Well, it's not like there's some offshore scam company.
I'm sure they're going to let you off board. They
never said, they never made any claim that you're tied to.
Speaker 14 (55:57):
Them, right, No, They just me that there could be
an early termination fee. And I said that's fine. I said,
tell me what it is and send me the contract.
And all she sent me was an unsigned contract.
Speaker 5 (56:09):
I said, well, yeah, they yeah, cost exactly exactly, and
they may not have one.
Speaker 3 (56:15):
By the way.
Speaker 5 (56:16):
Three oh three seven one three talk seven one three

(57:32):
Major and the team we have. We're waiting to help
you with your problems, questions and complaints. Now, one thing
I want to mention, we're working on that Walmart thing
behind the scenes, and any problem you might have or
a question if someone is you know, I know that
there's someone listening listening right now who's getting the chuck
(57:54):
in the shuck and jive talk or the jive talking
from people and they don't like what they're hearing and
they want to know what they can do about it.
The time to call is when these problems are first happening.
By the way, speaking of problems now, I mentioned this
yesterday and I want to bring it up again because
it's important.
Speaker 3 (58:14):
So these scanners and stores.
Speaker 5 (58:17):
How many times do you go shopping you look at
the price of something, either on the shelf, you look
at the unit.
Speaker 3 (58:24):
Price or the price for the package.
Speaker 5 (58:27):
The package is the package, and then you have the
unit price, which is the price per item inside the package,
and that's how you compare prices. But then you take
that to the checkout and you actually look when they
scan it.
Speaker 3 (58:42):
Do you actually do that?
Speaker 5 (58:44):
I do it, Actually I do it, but I mostly
use self checkouts now. But anyway, this publication called The
Guardian did an investigation, but so did state attorneys general.
They did checkups, including here in Colorado, and they found
a good part of the time stores violated the pricing policies.
(59:08):
For example, Dollar General in Colorado in October of twenty
twenty five, just a couple months ago here four hundred
thousand dollars fine they paid for not for charging consumers
more at the register than was marked at the shelf.
They paid four hundred thousand dollars. The state inspection program
(59:32):
found that with this chain, fifteen out of twenty three
inspections were failed.
Speaker 3 (59:40):
Fifteen of them were failed.
Speaker 5 (59:42):
That means that more than not, you got charged the
wrong amount at the checkout when you went there.
Speaker 3 (59:51):
Have you ever checked it? Have you ever done that?
Speaker 5 (59:53):
I mean, and around the country it's even worse. Colorado
is one of the better ones. But for some reason,
it's mostly happening in places like Dollar General and those
types of stores where the the checkout charges you more
than's on the shelf. They call it a software glitch,
(01:00:15):
and it's not intentional, but it's happening a lot.
Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
And again. Now now I'm going to look even more.
Speaker 5 (01:00:21):
But do you find yourself even when you have a
checker available, do you find yourself gravitating to the self checkout?
I do?
Speaker 3 (01:00:30):
But do you Dmitri? Do you go?
Speaker 5 (01:00:32):
What do you do?
Speaker 3 (01:00:33):
What do you guys work? What do you use?
Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
I like doing checkout? You thinking my items through it?
One item a minute?
Speaker 5 (01:00:43):
Okay, See you do it because you're in a hurry
and you can do it faster. Well, here's the bottom line.
Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
If you do it, do you look at the scanner
when you scan it?
Speaker 6 (01:00:51):
Do you look at the price for every single item.
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
Have you ever found discrepancies?
Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
Oh yeah, you have?
Speaker 6 (01:00:57):
Yeah, oh yeah, and they take care of it immediately,
right there on the spot.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
Why are there so many discrepancies, That's what I want
to know.
Speaker 10 (01:01:04):
Well, in most of the cases that I've experienced, it
was a sale tag that hadn't been removed, so the
computer was updated with a non sale price, but the
shelf tag hasn't been removed.
Speaker 3 (01:01:16):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (01:01:17):
By the way, Doctor Joel Trdak is here with us
from Denver Region dot com. I know we talk about
stem cell therapy a lot, but I'm getting questions about
the weight loss drugs. Are the two main weight loss
drugs this person said they heard about a third one.
Speaker 3 (01:01:33):
I don't know about a third one.
Speaker 5 (01:01:35):
The ones that you use right now are Semiglue Tide
and true Seppetite.
Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
Is that so go ahead? Is there a third one?
Speaker 12 (01:01:42):
I best guess that this person is asking about a
drug called retruded Tide or redit true Tide. We're getting
a lot of inquiries about it lately.
Speaker 5 (01:01:50):
What is it.
Speaker 12 (01:01:50):
It's a new GLP one weight loss drug. It's available
through compounding pharmacies only we do offer it. We're probably
the only clinic in.
Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
Colorado that offers past So what is the benefit of it.
Speaker 12 (01:02:03):
It has some extra it it functions in a way
that reduces skeletal muscle loss, So it.
Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
Really reduces the loss of muscle because right, yeah.
Speaker 12 (01:02:13):
And so that's one of the primary factors that people
have as an unwanted side effect, is that in losing
all the weight, they also lose some skeletal muscle along
with the fat. So ratruditide is the most targeted fat
only reducing GLP one. Oh really, yeah, And we're getting
a lot of phone calls about that lately. Like I said,
we're one of the few clinics because we work with
(01:02:33):
a compounding pharmacy that does provide that drug that offers
that to patients. So that's most likely what this caller
is inquiring about.
Speaker 5 (01:02:41):
You know, because a lot of people that are on
these GLP ones. Is this considered a GLP one?
Speaker 3 (01:02:47):
The one it's a GLP one is just what does
JLP one mean?
Speaker 12 (01:02:51):
A glucagon like peptide, what does it mean?
Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
So what does it mean?
Speaker 12 (01:02:55):
It mimics a naturally occurring hormone in your stomach. That's
signals your brain that you're full. That's the easiest, most
simple explain.
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
They don't think about food a lot, so.
Speaker 12 (01:03:05):
You don't think about it has all the effects of it.
Speaker 5 (01:03:07):
It's amazing how it works on everybody. In fact, I
don't know of anybody now. I know that people gain
weight back because what you're supposed to be doing. I
guess when you're on this stuff is learning new eating habits.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
Right.
Speaker 12 (01:03:17):
Well, also, you're kind of training your body to eat
less food. Yes, for me, if you're on it for
a period of time, your stomach's gonna get a little
smaller bud.
Speaker 3 (01:03:25):
You're going to get used to eating less.
Speaker 9 (01:03:26):
I've been I've been off of Denver Regen's product now
for over two months, and I'll tell you straight up,
my eating habits are way better. The muscle memory, whether
in my mind your's stomach just doesn't think his food
as much as a year ago prior to getting with
Denver Region. So I've met other people that put all
(01:03:47):
the weight back on. I think there's a certain part
of that that's laziness and a certain part that's Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:03:54):
I don't know why they go back to it. I
have no idea why, actually, doc, why would someone.
Speaker 3 (01:04:00):
Go back to old eating habits.
Speaker 12 (01:04:01):
You mean, well, yeah, exactly this way, Mark.
Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
Because they haven't taught themselves anything. Yeah, that's one one.
Speaker 12 (01:04:06):
Is that they're not doing anything else to help with
their weight loss. But also, uh, Mark, if you'll remind me,
how long were you on the GLP one over.
Speaker 1 (01:04:14):
Eight months, eight and a half, nine months.
Speaker 12 (01:04:17):
So once you get past like four or five months
of being on it, then your body is really starting
to adjust to having a new weight, to having a
new size off, to having a less of a requirement
of intake. So the longer you're on it, when you
go off of it, your body's going to be less.
All right, great going.
Speaker 5 (01:04:35):

you choose Frank durand the real estate man dot com

nine two zero sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martino, you're
(01:05:19):
a troubleshooter three O three seven one three talks seven
one three eight two five five. All right, So getting
back to this new weight loss drug, is it more
expensive than the other two? Uh no, it's it's about
in between, okay, because oh well that's good. So it's
hallmark is that it doesn't eat away fat as much
(01:05:40):
as the others.
Speaker 12 (01:05:41):
Right, that's what it's been. It preserves muscle. It's the
next jed.
Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
That's meant.
Speaker 5 (01:05:46):
It doesn't eat away muscle as much. It'd eat east
Way fat more so, and it preserves muscle mass.
Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
Right, this is the next generation, and you guys are
doing it.
Speaker 5 (01:05:56):
We are doing it, yes, all right, So as far
as everything else it works the same.
Speaker 3 (01:06:02):
Yes. And do you have actually people using it right now?
Speaker 12 (01:06:06):
We have a number of patients using it. But what
we're what's happening is we're getting inquiries like we just
got now every day from people wondering if we can,
if we can prescribe this.
Speaker 5 (01:06:15):
Drug, and please, just for my sake, give out the
name again.
Speaker 12 (01:06:18):
It's forgive me on the pronunciation. It's either retrue to
tide rue or reditrue.
Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
Okay, retrue to tide. Yeah, okay, I'm going to look
it up. Retrue to tide.
Speaker 5 (01:06:31):
And Mark, you said that when you got off it,
you did not go back to your old eating habits.
Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
No, because I mean definitely not.
Speaker 3 (01:06:40):
Okay, you do know this.
Speaker 1 (01:06:43):
The food noise does come back.
Speaker 9 (01:06:45):
You might start thinking, Oh, that ice cream looks pretty
damn good, but it doesn't mean you got to go
eat it.
Speaker 12 (01:06:52):
Reddit true tide is the way you pronounce red.
Speaker 3 (01:06:54):
That's what it is. Read.
Speaker 5 (01:06:55):
I just looked it up. Red a true tide they
call it. They call it the uh A g LP one.
It's the triple G whatever that means.
Speaker 9 (01:07:07):
Hey, Doc, what's that stuff that goes in your concoction?
Though I know it helps even more than just a
G LP one the Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
They have that other peptide. Do explain what's that is.
Speaker 12 (01:07:18):
It's B twelve, That's what Mark's talking about. What they
compound it with. Yeah, so the B twelve helps helps
it more readily absorb into your body and also it
aids in metabolism.
Speaker 5 (01:07:28):
And they're saying, by the way, that not only not
only does it help you preserve muscle, but it actually
works faster than the other two.
Speaker 12 (01:07:36):
It's the best GLP one out there.
Speaker 3 (01:07:38):
And why wouldn't would everyone do it? Then? Why wouldn't
everyone do it?
Speaker 12 (01:07:42):
Because it's not commercially available as a as a branded drug.
Speaker 5 (01:07:46):
Oh yeah, they can't advertise it all over the place,
so you so you have to know about it. So
here's what it says it it had. They call it
the triple G because it has a g LP one
like the normal ones. Then it has something called GP
which is glucose dependent insulin something or other, and then
another one called glucacon glucagon, and it promotes fat burning
(01:08:10):
and increases energy.
Speaker 3 (01:08:12):
They say, people have incredible energy on this. Right.
Speaker 12 (01:08:16):
The medical doctor in my office that prescribes these drugs,
we had a meeting yesterday, a staff meeting yesterday, and
the staff told me we're getting tons of inquiries on this,
and he said, make sure you talk about this because
of how well that it works.
Speaker 5 (01:08:28):
Yeah, and they say it's actually healthier, healthier than the
other two. Right that, not that any of them have
been tied to any direct illnesses, but they say it
is healthier for you why they said, I don't know,
but you know one thing I did notice, You can
really tell. I mean when you see pictures of movie
(01:08:49):
stars and all these people that have gone on it,
even if they don't say they've been on it, you
can tell there is this gaunt look sometimes azempic face.
Speaker 3 (01:08:57):
Mark never got it. Some people do.
Speaker 5 (01:09:00):
Yeah, he never got that gone ugly look that it's
almost like they look sickly.
Speaker 12 (01:09:05):
Right, so, and this will prevent that type of thing,
or at least diminish those types of side of all.
Speaker 1 (01:09:11):
Right, so well, Tim really is amazing though.
Speaker 9 (01:09:13):
If you think you want to lose weight, especially with
New Year's coming up, if you've been thinking about it,
go to denverrejaim dot com and ask them the questions
the best price.
Speaker 1 (01:09:22):
You're going to love these guys, I promm.
Speaker 3 (01:09:24):

Three oh three seven one three talk three oh three
seven one three eight two five five. This hour brought
to you by Wave eighth Wealth Management dot Com or
Wave Eightcapital dot Com.
Speaker 3 (01:10:39):
Let me just explain something to you. This is really serious.
Speaker 5 (01:10:42):
We have now with our software and our artificial intelligence
and everything we do, a way to back test investment strategies.
Speaker 3 (01:10:52):
What that means is this, we can show.
Speaker 5 (01:10:56):
You our portfolio that we're doing for me or for
any other investor without revealing their name, and we can
compare it to what you're doing and then back test it,
meaning what would have happened if you were in our model,
one of our models instead of what you're doing, and
we can show you absolute facts of what would have happened.
(01:11:20):
And if it turns out your investment models work better.
Speaker 3 (01:11:24):
That's wonderful. But what you like to know and we
can do that for you.
Speaker 5 (01:11:29):
In fact, we have another thing that we do to
take out the normal risk of a marketplace. And I
want to explain this to you, the unfortunate truth about
financial advisors. This is the truth about the stock market.
And you hear Mark talking about this a lot. The
stock market fails most of the time due to the
(01:11:51):
advisors and how they move you around. We have a
way of rebalancing portfolios in a way that keeps you
diversified and does not chase individual stocks. I want to
show you some of the strategies we've developed, and we
will show you each and everything we do. All you
(01:12:13):
have to do is make it a point and we
can do a zoom or a phone call threeho three
seven seven to one help.
Speaker 3 (01:12:19):
I'm not kidding with this. All of my money is
in it.
Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
Wave eight to capital the number eight Wave Eightcapital dot
com three oh three seven seven one help. Yesterday we
had a phone call from Bri and Bri is a
transitioning She's transitioning from male to female, and in part
(01:12:44):
as part of that transition, she wanted hair removal. Now
that would normally be considered like a cosmetic procedure and
not covered by health insurance, but in her case it
was ruled to be medically necessary because it was a
way for her to deal with gender dysphoria. Not only
(01:13:07):
did she want a transition, but she wanted the remnants
of her male life to be behind her, and by
getting the hair removed that the doctor said it was
medically necessary to truly treat gender dysphoria. By the way,
(01:13:27):
gender dysphoria is a real diagnosis that has been on
the books for years. And as I said, it used
to be treated as a mental illness, and then later
on in life they started treating people with gender dysphoria
as hey, maybe this person needs something else, like maybe
they need to actually be the other sex or gender.
(01:13:51):
So it so transitioning became medically accepted and is paid
for by health insurance.
Speaker 3 (01:14:00):
U Brie, you bring up really a bunch.
Speaker 5 (01:14:02):
Of interesting topics, and we're going to get to the
one to do with hair removal. We've done a lot
of research on this, but I want to ask you
something during your entire process when you started this whole
thing here, you are a guy wanting to change. Did
you have to get any did the insurance company give
(01:14:22):
you any problems other than this one? Did you have
problems the whole time or was it pretty much routine?
Speaker 7 (01:14:30):
It's most of it has been okay. There's been one
other medication that I was trying to get approved that
my doctor also said was medically necessary that they fought
me on. I ended up finding an alternative just because
I didn't want to go through the headache with them.
So I mean somewhere in between.
Speaker 5 (01:14:48):
Okay, all right, because I believe right now, I believe
and I might be naive that it is so acceptable
that all health insurance is paying for it, but what
they pay for it gets down to individual things like
hair removal. When I was researching this free I found
(01:15:09):
some cases where it was absolutely not covered. So really,
with United Healthcare, you were kind of fortunate that they
agreed to it and you had it done. And so
in any case, what about reinborsement. Well, United Healthcare said, yes,
you were approved and we'll pay it, but we need
(01:15:30):
a W nine from the hair removal facility.
Speaker 3 (01:15:35):
And this brought up an interesting discussion. What is a
W nine Why do they need it?
Speaker 5 (01:15:41):
Well, a W nine is needed if a health care
facility provides to insurance companies, if they provide to the
insured a service, they need to provide a W nine.
Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
And by the way, that's not unusual.
Speaker 5 (01:15:54):
As Mark brought out yesterday, We as business people provide
W nine's all the time to other companies. So when
companies pay you money, they want a W nine so
they can deduct those payments or show those payments on
their tax returns. The W nines are retained in the
records of the payer, but they usually demand a W nine.
(01:16:17):
In your case, it gets weird because you weren't asking
them to pay Laser.
Speaker 3 (01:16:25):
Away for the hair removal.
Speaker 5 (01:16:27):
You were asking for reimbursement, so there would be no
reason for United Healthcare to demand a W nine from
Laser Away.
Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
Now, one of our.
Speaker 5 (01:16:41):
Experts who looked at your case asked me, are you
sure they weren't asking you for a W nine, because
if you're looking for reimbursement to be paid directly, then
they could ask for you to fill out a W nine.
Did you get confused that or were they definitely asking
(01:17:02):
for laser Away.
Speaker 7 (01:17:03):
They were definitely asking for one from laser Away. Every
time I've talked to them like they I've had a
few United Healthcare representatives asked me, Hey, do you want
me to reach out to laser Away and try to
get that W nine. I'm like, sure, yeah, go go
right ahead, make all the time.
Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
Yeah, but you can do everybody.
Speaker 5 (01:17:19):
What's weird is but what's weird is this Laser Away
doesn't owe them a dou W nine, so they're not
wrong and because they are not asking for payment W nine. Right,
that's what we said, Mark. But here's the thing, Breg.
Did you offer to give a W nine for you?
Because you're asking for reimbursement, Like, when you talk to them,
(01:17:42):
you have to make it clear you're not asking for
them to pay the facility. You're asking for reimbursement for
an amount that was already approved. In fact, our health
insurance experts said, if the amount was approved, the only
thing that your health insurance may add is for proof
that it was done, not that you know, so you
(01:18:04):
don't take the money and go on vacation. You know,
if it was an approved procedure, all they want to
see is proof that it was done. So do you
have some kind of a receipt showing it was done?
Speaker 1 (01:18:18):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (01:18:19):
And on that receipt, go ahead.
Speaker 7 (01:18:24):
What I've got our records from Laser Away showing each
time I've been in, like what areas were treated and
who did the treatment?
Speaker 3 (01:18:32):
Okay, and does it have an amount that you paid
in full?
Speaker 7 (01:18:38):
Two different documents. I've got one with the amount, one
with like the treatment records each visit.
Speaker 3 (01:18:44):
That should be all you need. So when you submitted
those for.
Speaker 5 (01:18:49):
When you submitted those for reimbursement, what did they say
when you submitted them for reimbursement? You're asking for you
to be paid. It just f I find it impossible
to think they're that stupid.
Speaker 7 (01:19:04):
I would have to agree with you. It seems so weird.
But like, they have the records from each visit that
I've been in, they have the original receipt, they have
the taxpayer ID number, and they're still saying that they
want a w NIE from Laser Away. So while you
and I are on the phone right now, I'm actually
hopping on United Healthcare's website and starting a live chat
(01:19:26):
with an agent to just quickly verify for them that
they don't want good. Unine for me.
Speaker 5 (01:19:31):
Good because you're asking for reimbursement. They're not paying laser
away and the amount you're asking for reimbursement is the
amount that they already approved.
Speaker 3 (01:19:40):
Is that right?
Speaker 7 (01:19:42):
Yes, that's correct?
Speaker 3 (01:19:44):
All right?
Speaker 5 (01:19:45):
Is this still as far as transitioning goes? Is this
the last component of your transitioning or do you have
a lot more to go?
Speaker 3 (01:19:54):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (01:19:55):
Yeah, no, this is one of the first I've all
started six months ago.
Speaker 5 (01:20:00):
Okay, may I ask something only because we don't we
don't often get calls from people transitioning.
Speaker 3 (01:20:06):
So how old are you?
Speaker 7 (01:20:08):
How do you, bree, I'm thirty nine.
Speaker 5 (01:20:11):
When did you first When did you seriously, when did
you first feel like things were not right?
Speaker 7 (01:20:18):
It probably started, I mean the very first time it started.
I was about fourteen and talked to my mom and
showed her basically kind of like sept out of my closet,
dressed as a girl. Yeah, like there's something going on here.
I don't I don't know what is going on, but
like this is me. And at the time, you know,
(01:20:39):
we really didn't know a lot about transgender people. We
didn't know this is actually something like in the modern eyes,
I probably would have been, you know, shipped off to therapy.
Speaker 3 (01:20:47):
Well that's right, quite nice, right, So she said, you know, don't.
Speaker 7 (01:20:51):
Tell your dad like that was that was the answer.
Speaker 3 (01:20:54):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 7 (01:20:55):
For a long time, I went through kind of a
lot of you know, instincts hide to never tell anyone
who I was or what I you know, what I was.
Speaker 3 (01:21:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:21:05):
Yeah. And it was about.
Speaker 7 (01:21:09):
About when I hit twenty five to thirty I started
kind of venturing out into the world a little bit
more and started to have an idea that I might
want to transition. And then honestly, tom tomorrow is my
two year date of quitting drinking, and okay, really kind
of the big thing that made me realize like that
(01:21:29):
I was not dealing with things in the right way. Yeah,
and that's when I really started to kind of get
serious about it.
Speaker 5 (01:21:35):
Congratulations on your sobriety, So bri So this whole transition,
you waited to thirty nine, So you were trying to
suppress it or you were trying to deny it, are
you saying?
Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
And you became an alcoholic.
Speaker 7 (01:21:50):
Yeah yeah, Actually and before years, years before that, I
was addicted to much harder drugs as well, and I've
been off those for about almost ten years.
Speaker 5 (01:22:01):
And during your during your transition or during your exploration,
did people try to get you counseling and say it
was mental illness.
Speaker 7 (01:22:15):
I thought out counseling on my own. By the time
I really knew what was going on, I was, you know,
twenty five to thirty, and but yeah, I mean a
lot of people were really confused. In my life, A
lot of people told me that they didn't understand, they
didn't think it was right for me, and things like that.
So I mean, yeah, there was definitely a lot of
friction getting through to people and helping them understand.
Speaker 5 (01:22:39):
Yeah, you know, I think the thing about it is
when people can't imagine, they can't even imagine what it
would be like or what it is.
Speaker 3 (01:22:47):
And that's me. I can't even imagine it.
Speaker 5 (01:22:50):
So it's easy to say you're nuts because I'm not
inside your head. But it's just it's just I've never
I've never had a chance to talk to anyone who
just to do it. And you decided to do it
later in life, and you said you were trying to
cope with it in the wrong ways. By the way,
we have our health insurance expert on We're going to
get to right after this break, and we'll ask you
(01:23:10):
to hang on. And that's from Integra Insurance, just to
go over some stuff and see if they have any
additional ideas. I'm Tom Martino Moore coming right up. Hey,
I'm Tom Martino. You're troubleshooter three oh three seven one
three talks seven one three eight two five five. I
(01:23:32):
want to bring up John Jones Junior with Integra Insurance.
Speaker 3 (01:23:36):
On the line. John, John, in general, I'd like to
ask you a question. We'll bring Brie up too, but
this is in general.
Speaker 5 (01:23:43):
In general, when you pay for something and want reimbursement,
that's not so unusual, right, I mean there are two
ways to get paid. One is the insurance company pays
the provider directly, or the other one is you pay
and you are reimbursed.
Speaker 3 (01:24:03):
That's not unheard of. Is that correct? That's correct?
Speaker 7 (01:24:07):
Tom?
Speaker 5 (01:24:08):
Oh, this is John Junior Senior. John, sorry about that,
not that it matters, okay. So, so John, when you
get reimbursed from an insurance company, do they want a
W nine from you as an individual?
Speaker 15 (01:24:25):
And Tom, I've put this out to about three or
four people.
Speaker 3 (01:24:29):
Yeah, and you were.
Speaker 15 (01:24:31):
Talking about your Walmart case. Being bafflin. None of the
may ever heard.
Speaker 3 (01:24:35):
Of this before, but heard of heard of what? What
part of it?
Speaker 15 (01:24:40):
If you're not having to send in a W nine
to the insurance company.
Speaker 5 (01:24:45):
Do you think they're just screwing with her? I mean, seriously,
what it's Is this a delay tactic? It seems like
United Healthcare is way too big to mess around, UH
for a three thousand dollars hair removal bill?
Speaker 3 (01:24:58):
I don't know.
Speaker 15 (01:24:59):
I agree? Can I can I ask? Can I ask Bria?
Speaker 3 (01:25:02):
Yes? Go ahead, go ahead, she's on And Bri, if I.
Speaker 15 (01:25:06):
Made because you said you were just at the very
start of your transition, and if I may make a suggestion,
are do you know? Are you on a small group
and we're assuming you have a group coverage?
Speaker 7 (01:25:19):
Yeah, I'm a I'm in a group coverage that was
through my employer.
Speaker 15 (01:25:23):
Okay, okay and okay. So my question you, Bree, is
because if you're starting that transition, just word to the wise,
you got two buckets. You got your in network buckets
and then you have your out a network bucket and
trying to coordinate the two. You want to be in
network as much as you can, because they don't coordinate.
(01:25:44):
Good on these good group policies. So when you're out
of network, buckets that you have and you can take
a look at your policy, most of the time your
deductible will normally double and your coinsurance could go from
eighty twenty down to fifty to fifty, sixty forty whatever.
Have you had a chance to look at that to
(01:26:06):
make sure that you're always being met on the out
of network side.
Speaker 7 (01:26:13):
So I've got my out of network like insurance stuff
pulled up right here. My deductible is meant for the year, okay.
Out of pocket maximum has a few thousand dollars left
in it. Okay, so you got.
Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
Cool the hair removal on the hair removal. Here's what
I want to know.
Speaker 6 (01:26:36):
Is that.
Speaker 3 (01:26:38):
You said there's a few thousand left on your out
of pocket.
Speaker 5 (01:26:41):
Could they want him to make it out of pocket
and maybe she has to pay for it out of pocket?
Speaker 3 (01:26:51):
Are you asking me?
Speaker 15 (01:26:52):
You're an asking Bruce.
Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
I'm asking you John. Is it possible that that's yeah?
Speaker 15 (01:26:56):
I mean, that could be it because he's got its deductible.
He says, it's just deductible is met. But now he's
got a lower co insurance probably up to that max.
Out of net.
Speaker 1 (01:27:07):
But they're not saying any of that. They're saying they
just need the W nine.
Speaker 15 (01:27:12):
I understand they're going to coordinate between the two, but
I'm just trying.
Speaker 3 (01:27:17):
To warn so I'm a little confused. How does how
does this work?
Speaker 5 (01:27:21):
You get you have a deductible, but once you meet
a deductible, what is the out of pocket mean? That
means for you pays you have a certain amount that
you go up to and then there's less copay.
Speaker 15 (01:27:34):
No, he and Bree's looking at it. He has his
his deductible out of network whatever that is? Okay, right,
He's gonna have co insurance, correct, you gonna have a
co insurance amount up to a total max out of
pocket am?
Speaker 5 (01:27:49):
Okay, okay, and then insurance part now and now once
you get to your max out of pocket after you're
deductible and after you paid your co insurance up to
max out of pocket, then do you get one hundred
percent coverage after that?
Speaker 4 (01:28:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:28:05):
Not aut a network, right, John?
Speaker 15 (01:28:07):
Yeah, you still have a max out of pocket atter
network and his okay, a group plan because he's looking
at both.
Speaker 5 (01:28:15):
All right, So right now though, what right now? Who
does Bree go to about United Healthcare simply not paying.
Speaker 15 (01:28:26):
Okay, he would y'all say that he was on a
chat with somebody back at United Healthcare.
Speaker 3 (01:28:32):
Are you on that right now, Bri.
Speaker 7 (01:28:35):
I got the answer to the first question, which was yes,
they are indeed looking for a W nine from Laser Away,
not from me, and then I can start a new
chat real quick. If there's another question.
Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
But that's weird.
Speaker 5 (01:28:46):
I mean they're not paying. They're not paying Laser Way.
And by the way, just so you know, John Jones
puts us out to other health insurance people and they've
never heard of W nine's ever.
Speaker 9 (01:28:59):
Go ahead, John, If I was going to have something
done out of network and I go to Kaiser and
I get permission to get it done, let's just say
laser hair removal. So I'm going to go, I have permission,
I'm going to get laser hair removal, and then I
pay for it out of pocket instead of them just
directly billing it. Does that cause an issue?
Speaker 15 (01:29:23):
That's the problem he has.
Speaker 1 (01:29:25):
I know that, That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 9 (01:29:26):
Does that cause an issue though to where he shouldn't
get reimbursed.
Speaker 15 (01:29:33):
It shouldn't Mark, but hobnously with Brie. It is big
time because this W nine, which I've never heard of
in thirty five years.
Speaker 3 (01:29:42):
Yeah, that's weird. It sounds like they're screwing with her.
Speaker 9 (01:29:48):
He go, can she go to HR and basically, don't
companies have some kind of rep in between the insurance
company and the air.
Speaker 3 (01:29:58):
That's a good point. That could have a good point.
Speaker 15 (01:30:00):
You have good point if she could go to a
drawer and see if the other thing bree right now,
if you're out there talking to your Chad, ask for
a universal claim form. See if United has a universal
claim form that you could submit with all your paid bills.
Since this is anibal and it says laser does not
(01:30:23):
work with any insurance company.
Speaker 5 (01:30:27):
Okay, right, So so she fills out she fills out
a universal claim.
Speaker 3 (01:30:33):
But b did you fill out any kind of a
claim form up till now?
Speaker 15 (01:30:38):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (01:30:38):
Absolutely, I have. I have a claim in progress, I
have a claim tracking number, I have an appeal number
that's being tracked against this claim. The claim status is
basically frozen due to the W nine. Like they've got
a claim that they're saying, oh, we just can't move
it any further along in the process.
Speaker 1 (01:30:56):
About the W nine, you should just send him a
W nine from you.
Speaker 15 (01:31:01):
I would recommend it. I end what everybody everybody is suggested,
is send it from him because he's being reimbursed laser warped.
Speaker 3 (01:31:11):
She's the one you can make and make that clear.
Speaker 5 (01:31:14):
Send it saying here's my W nine. I'm the one
being reimbursed, you're not paying the provider. That's what I
would do. At least try that and then stay in
touch with us, because Brie, you may I mean you
may have like some kind of bad faith thing going on.
Do you get the impression let me just ask you
straight up, Bree, do you get the impression they're screwing
around with you?
Speaker 7 (01:31:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
I really do.
Speaker 9 (01:31:36):
To be honest with you, like there's that when I
asked them over thirty five hundred bucks.
Speaker 7 (01:31:43):
I know, but you know, I'm not trying to get
too political and everything. But there's a reason that when
this whole thing with the United Healthcare CEO happened, that
people were talking about to denied lay to pose that
they have a direct incentive every day that they hold
onto my money is one day that they can go
reinvest it and make returns somewhere else.
Speaker 5 (01:32:03):
Well, and that's true about the industry, b Bri. I
will say this, You're absolutely right. The industry itself, I'm
not getting politically either. The industry itself sucks. It absolutely
positively sucks. And they, and I've said that before, the
only way they make more money is by raising premiums
(01:32:25):
or denying coverage.
Speaker 9 (01:32:26):
But there's a lot of people listening to this this
call and are thinking the same thing I am.
Speaker 1 (01:32:32):
I think it's just unfair. If a woman like my
wife wants.
Speaker 9 (01:32:36):
To go out and get laser surgery, she's got to
come out of pocket. But in this circumstance it's covered.
I just find that unfair.
Speaker 3 (01:32:43):
Because it's part of the transition.
Speaker 9 (01:32:46):
Well, okay, how about if I have some kind of
food dyss for you? Are they going to pay for
my dinner? If I'm bullimic, Well, Mark, I I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:32:55):
That's not a new good.
Speaker 7 (01:32:56):
Actually that's not all Actually yeah, yeah, they would you
would get you would go in and get health care
coverage for your mental health care. It's Pidocky determined you
needed to be institutionalized for a little bit. You might
go to a hospital and.
Speaker 3 (01:33:07):
Get some By the way, Mark, there was this one,
and we do have to take this break.
Speaker 5 (01:33:11):
But don't you remember that one crazy case we covered
years ago where the guy wanted to be a baby
and mentally he couldn't take the pressures of the world,
and they paid for his care. I remember that case
and we were so outraged about it, and that was
years and years ago. It's so deflating to me.
Speaker 1 (01:33:34):
And it has nothing to do with ubray.
Speaker 9 (01:33:36):
But I am on the exchange because I don't have
an employer paying for insurance. I pay over twenty thousand
dollars in premium and until I meet eighty.
Speaker 1 (01:33:47):
Five hundred dollars a year, I have no benefit.
Speaker 9 (01:33:51):
I am twenty eight thousand dollars out of pocket for
absolutely zero And it sucks.
Speaker 5 (01:34:00):
Yeah, but then okay, so, but but the health care system.
But but yeah, the healthcare system sucks. It's the health
insurance that sucks. Actually, the healthcare providers are wonderful. We do.
Speaker 9 (01:34:12):
It doesn't suck for Bree, I mean right now, it does,
but in general it doesn't, And it doesn't suck for you, Tom,
You're on Medicare, definitely doesn't suck for you.
Speaker 5 (01:34:23):

Speaker 3 (01:35:07):
Hi Tom Martino.
Speaker 5 (01:35:09):
Here, by the way, for those texting us about Ryan
and the tub with a Walmart guys, I'm not going
to go over the whole thing right now, but in
any case, Deputy d is trying is reaching out to Walmart,
and we'll.
Speaker 3 (01:35:24):
See what happens on that one.
Speaker 5 (01:35:27):
Getting back to the next steps, so right now, John,
I think if I had to give free advice, it
would be to simply fill out the reimbursement and included
W nine with it and just submit it.
Speaker 3 (01:35:44):
That's what I would do again, because if.
Speaker 5 (01:35:46):
They say no, we need the W nine, I mean
in other words, when I've ever I went back into
my records to see and I have indeed been reimbursed
in the past for things, and I was never asked for.
Speaker 3 (01:36:02):
A W nine for anything. So, Brie, by the way,
what is next for you? For example?
Speaker 5 (01:36:12):
You called us out of frustration, But what was next
on the agenda? Did the company say they would get
back to you?
Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
What was next? Was there anything or go ahead?
Speaker 7 (01:36:27):
Basically, I got to a point where I filed an
appeal with them, explaining largely what I've explained to you,
and they denied that appeal and then said that there
is one final appeal left and after that the process
is completely exhausted and there's nothing else I can do.
And I thought, okay, well I should probably reach out
(01:36:47):
and get some help before I used that last appeal
to figure out what's going on. Okay, I'm working on
this with them for months.
Speaker 5 (01:36:55):
What what was the reason they gave you for denially
appeal nine? That's what they said.
Speaker 7 (01:37:02):
Nine. Yep, they're still going back to the W nine.
That's the only reason. God I And like I said,
I just talked to them a minute ago and they said, yeah,
we want a W nine from laser away not from you.
Also went out and give it to him just because like, hey,
we can't hurt. But in the in the time since
we talked yesterday, I did a couple other things. I
(01:37:23):
also went ahead and filed a complaint with the Colorado
Division of Insurance good and have an official have an
official complaint lost with them. And then after I did that,
I went back to United Healthcare and said, hey, I
just filed a complaint with the Calauda Division of Insurance.
Here's a copy of the complaint. You might want to
escalate this to. You know, your team that handles that.
Speaker 5 (01:37:45):
Hey is small claims court out of the question for
his money, he's well within the amount or county court.
Speaker 3 (01:37:51):
What do you think, d What do you think? Mark about?
Speaker 7 (01:37:54):
Real quick, real quick interjection? If you don't mind, I've
heard some back and forth between she and him. I
do prefer if you don't mind.
Speaker 3 (01:38:01):
Oh That's what I've been doing. But I slip every
now and then. Who knows, But okay, I appreciate, I
appreciate you.
Speaker 9 (01:38:07):
Thank you You're going to have If this is the beginning,
what's crazy is think of all the different things you're
going to be going through health insurance with this could
be just the very very beginning, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (01:38:22):
Yeah, but I have to believe with with an insurance
company as big as United health, they've encountered this.
Speaker 3 (01:38:28):
I mean, in other words, this can't be new now.
Speaker 5 (01:38:31):
While it's a tiny percentage of people transitioning kids.
Speaker 9 (01:38:36):
With there's kids with cancer that get denied stuff. No, no,
I understand that. But but do you think I don't
know if United Healthcare even.
Speaker 3 (01:38:47):
Knows what they're doing.
Speaker 5 (01:38:48):
Because asking for a W nine for someone you're not
even paying there, it's once removed.
Speaker 1 (01:38:55):
You can't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:38:56):
She's she's asking.
Speaker 5 (01:38:58):
For reimbursement and and she's not the one who removed
the hair, I mean the W nine for the provider.
Speaker 3 (01:39:05):
When the provider is not being paid, it's just okay deputation.
Speaker 10 (01:39:11):
There might be an interesting way to short circuit this
that's worth of shot. It could be that if Bree
just sends in breez own W nine, then United Healthcare
won't even notice. They'll just say, yep, checked off the box.
Speaker 3 (01:39:24):
And that's what we're recommending that she just fill out that.
Speaker 7 (01:39:27):
I will try that. I just downloaded a W nine.
I'll fill it out here in just a minute.
Speaker 3 (01:39:32):
Yeah, fill it out and then just submit it and
then see what they say.
Speaker 5 (01:39:36):
Because it's clear even though John Jones, by the way,
has never heard of anyone being denied or them.
Speaker 3 (01:39:45):
Ever asking for a W nine ever.
Speaker 5 (01:39:48):
So that's the part that puzzles me is he's been
in this business for so long and has never heard it.
Ryan or I mean, Shannon or Dragon. I'm sorry, we're
way behind right on this one. We had Okay, let

Hi Tom Martino, you're a troubleshooter. Okay, so is off
the air not to because I don't want to trap
Brie bre call the show for help, and I don't
want her to feel like I'm trying to trap her
(01:40:53):
into a call. But Brie, I had a quick question
for you, I swear, And it's only because.
Speaker 3 (01:40:58):
I don't have any one on that I know who's
trans that I can talk to. So I want to
ask you something.
Speaker 7 (01:41:04):
As go ahead, I'm happy to answer that question.
Speaker 5 (01:41:07):
Yeah, and you've and you may not, you may not,
and we know you may not represent everyone, but I
want to know from your perspective, seriously, Now, how do
you feel about these young men who are transitioning to
women playing on women's teams?
Speaker 7 (01:41:24):
Ooh, so this is a really loaded question, and it
is even among the transgender community. Yeah, definitely, I feel
especially transitioning later in life and things like that. Like
when I go to my workout classes for spin class,
I do really well because I went through a testosterone
(01:41:45):
fueled puberty and had all that muffle development and everything else.
I feel like that testosterone puberty kind of gives me
an advantage in athletic competition. And it may not be.
Speaker 5 (01:41:59):
Thapp that's why it's out all right, I'm gonna continue
this discussion. I don't want to cut you off, and
you're welcome to stay or not, but I'm really curious
about it and I'll talk about it coming up. Go

Speaker 5 (01:43:07):
Hey, hey Tom Martino here along with Major Mark Major
Take it away, Major Mark Major.
Speaker 3 (01:43:13):
What are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (01:43:14):
What do you mean? What are we doing with?
Speaker 9 (01:43:16):
Yeah, problems, answering questions, take complaints. You've been diving into
the life of someone that's actually transitioning.
Speaker 3 (01:43:24):
Brie.
Speaker 1 (01:43:25):
You add a question about men and women's sports.
Speaker 5 (01:43:29):
You know what, here's the thing. And I was respectful
and asked off the air, which you mind discussing this?
And the reason I did that is because I didn't
want to trap somebody on the air and then have
them have to say no, I'm not going to talk
about this and hang up and all that. But truly,
I have never talked to someone transitioning. I don't know
if I even know anyone transitioning. It's just such a
(01:43:50):
small segment of the population. But one thing, and I
will say this, I'm going to say this right up front.
I always believe you should know where people stand, so
when you talk to and you know where they're coming from.
Here's where I'm coming from. I don't care one bit
if people transition.
Speaker 3 (01:44:05):
I really don't. I don't care about it at all.
Speaker 5 (01:44:08):
In fact, if they feel better about it and they
truly explore this for themselves and they think it's the
right answer, more power to them.
Speaker 3 (01:44:16):
I'm not getting into it. I'm not getting into.
Speaker 5 (01:44:19):
Whether or not it's normal, or it should happen or
it shouldn't happen. I people should live their lives or
not harming anybody. I don't care so if you want
to transition, you can transition. In fact, and I mean
this sincerely, and I don't mean to put transitioning in
the same boat with other things. But I don't care
when people, you know, you hear people get outraged about
furries And again, Brie, I don't mean to put you
(01:44:41):
in the same classes as that kind of thing. I'm
just saying that I truly don't care. I mean, people
can do whatever they want. I'm not into telling people
how to live their life. The only part, and this
is the only part that has ever bothered me about
the whole trans movement, is not that people want a transsition.
(01:45:02):
I don't even care about them using their insurance to
do it. That's my personal belief. I don't care. What
I do care about, though, is it seems weird to
me that if you are transitioning, then transition. But here's
what seems odd to me, bringing people can simply.
Speaker 3 (01:45:20):
Identify and then to me, it gives a bad.
Speaker 5 (01:45:25):
Name for people who have true gender dysphoria who want
to change their entire life.
Speaker 1 (01:45:32):
Like some of the men, they want to go to
the female prison for their and.
Speaker 3 (01:45:36):
They're doing it.
Speaker 5 (01:45:37):
And we had we had a shelter for women, and
it's a true story. And they had to They said
they had to let this guy in.
Speaker 3 (01:45:47):
Who said he's a woman.
Speaker 5 (01:45:48):
He had male, Genitalian everything, but to claim to be
a woman, and he molested people. Now, of course that's
the worst of the worst we're going to hear about.
But I and that is something I have firsthand knowledge of.
I'm not first hand I guess secondhand knowledge, you know,
but people that I trust that told me that. So
I don't want to get into all that because because
(01:46:10):
people identifying as something and people being something, that's none
of my business except where it gets into things that
do affect us, like like it goes beyond what you
want to do with your body. Now, if you want
to compete against these young girls who will work their
whole lives to become part of a team ken, and
(01:46:33):
who should do it? You know that breathe, that's the controversy.
Who should be able to call themselves a female for
competition purposes? It seems that it's so controversial, but that's
what it boils controversial.
Speaker 1 (01:46:50):
Tom, It's like an eighty twenty deal.
Speaker 3 (01:46:54):
What do you mean eighty twenty? I don't know what
you mean, I.
Speaker 9 (01:46:56):
Mean, eighty ninety percent agree that men should not be
in in female sports. It's not you're acting world. Maybe
you're not, but it seemed like you're acting like it's
a fifty to fifty deal. It's not even close.
Speaker 5 (01:47:10):
Well, I don't know what it is actually, Mark, to
be honest with you, I can't quote percentages and that
doesn't But what bothers me is when people equate my
concern about this to hate. I am so tired of
people using the word hate. That's what the lift does
to describe anything.
Speaker 3 (01:47:29):
Anything. Go ahead, bree, go ahead.
Speaker 7 (01:47:33):
I mean, there's going to be bad actors in any group.
You know, anytime you give anybody group, any group rights,
there's somebody who's going to go in and abuse them.
And you see that all the time, and examples of like,
you know, people who like to abuse children put themselves
in situations where they're guardians over children. I mean, there's
always going to be people like that looking for those
(01:47:54):
loopholes and looking to exploit them. I'm not sure if
that's a good reason to avoid extending a group of
people who need that protection, uh, you know, some legal
rights to make sure that they can live like you said,
just live their lives and go about you know, not hers.
Speaker 5 (01:48:09):
Yeah, and I believe you should totally. But but the
part about sports is what I think. It's what people
go to. Whenever you talk about a transgender issue, people say, well,
what about these guys that are, you know, going on
girls teams? And I think if I had a teenage girl.
Speaker 3 (01:48:30):
And she was on a team and got aced out
by some guy.
Speaker 5 (01:48:34):
Or some okay some, I don't even know what you
can do? You call someone who goes from male to female?
Is she a transgender female? Is that?
Speaker 3 (01:48:45):
Is that the proper term?
Speaker 7 (01:48:46):
Or what?
Speaker 3 (01:48:47):
She's a female? In your mom?
Speaker 5 (01:48:48):
Okay, okay, so you're a transgender female. Okay, so you're
a trans woman. So do you think trans girls have
a right to be on girls teams? I'm just curious
how you feel as a trans person.
Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
How do you feel sure?
Speaker 7 (01:49:06):
I think the answer actually gets really nuanced because the
way that I think it's fair comes down to the
puberty that someone went through. If someone goes through a
testosterone based puberty, they have all that muscle development that
a normal assigned male at birth person gets, you know,
a larger chess muscles, larger upper body strength, all that
kind of stuff, and that stays with you for the
(01:49:27):
rest of your life. No matter what you do after that,
you always have like some leftover artifacts of that testosterone puberty. Okay,
I think that maybe the most fair answer is to
look at what kind of puberty someone went through. If
they knew that they were trans really young and got
started on puberty blockers and never went through a testosterone
(01:49:48):
based puberty, maybe it's fair to let those people compete
with girls. Now, that's not a lot of us. Not
many people get that kind of help young. You listen
to all the controversy about, you know, should natures even
be getting puberty blockers. I'm not gonna go to touch
that one right now, right, but it's you know, maybe
maybe a small percentage of people that would actually be
(01:50:10):
fair to go compete on those teams For someone like me, Tom,
I don't think it's fair, to be honest, and it's
it's not gonna be a possibility. I don't I might
even get some don't my own community.
Speaker 5 (01:50:19):
I don't think it's fair either, and it has nothing
to do with hate. I just don't think it's fair
because even when they start taking these hormones and start transitioning.
They were blessed with the with the more mass and
more muscle and more bone density and everything that a
woman doesn't have. And I think, I just think it's
fundamentally unfair.
Speaker 3 (01:50:41):
That's my only issue.
Speaker 9 (01:50:42):
It's been proved so many times. Serena Williams is probably
my favorite. You know, most men at the top of
their game in college can beat her as a pro
and she says that hands down.
Speaker 3 (01:50:54):
Yeah, So that is my only issue.
Speaker 5 (01:50:58):
And and unfortunately we have people pushing this and the
other thing. We can get into the nuances the other thing.
And I don't know where you stand on this free
but I don't understand for the life of me, why
someone bothers transitioning if they're going to keep their genitalia
the same. In other words, there are a lot of
(01:51:20):
people who are trans women who still have their penis
and their and their their genitalia.
Speaker 3 (01:51:26):
And I wonder is that, you know, what is that
all about.
Speaker 5 (01:51:30):
Especially now when we get back to the sports thing
and these people are in the locker room with your daughters.
And I know I'm hitting the hot issues, but I
don't mean to I don't mean to gang up in you.
But I'm saying, this is the only issue I think
I have, and a lot of people have. I think
it's when it comes down to this, you know, the
(01:51:52):
these males who say they're female, but they don't change
their body at all, and they say they're female, and
now they're in a one in a girl's locker room,
and the girls are supposed to accept it or they're
labeled as hate.
Speaker 3 (01:52:08):
Bongers, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:52:10):
And and unfortunately this comes up as one of the
main issues. And and it's unfortunate because, as I said,
most people just want to live their lives. That's all
they want to do is live their life. And they
don't they don't want comment.
Speaker 7 (01:52:29):
That's what it really comes down to, you know. Like
I I have not had surgery yet, and it's something
I'm thinking about doing, but I'm not sure. It's it's
really scary. There's a lot of things that can go wrong.
I could lose my ability to ever function again as
a reeah of that surgery, you know, I mean a
(01:52:50):
lot of a lot of scary things that go into it.
It is a huge decision. So while I'm gathering my
courage and trying to decide what to do with that?
Which locker room should I go? Use?
Speaker 5 (01:53:01):
Right? Right?
Speaker 7 (01:53:02):
I don't know your birth.
Speaker 1 (01:53:04):
Locker room, Brie, I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:53:07):
I don't know the answer to that. What is the answer?
Speaker 7 (01:53:09):
Whatever? I can?
Speaker 1 (01:53:10):
I tell you, I don't know.
Speaker 7 (01:53:13):
What do you think, brit Can you imagine someone like me?
Can you imagine someone like me going into a men's
locker room? Though, I mean, it might not be safe.
I might get I might get assaulted, I might get hurt.
Speaker 9 (01:53:22):
Well, that's what a lot of people say about in
college or in high school where you have a man
in the girls.
Speaker 1 (01:53:28):
Locker room though.
Speaker 3 (01:53:30):
I mean, bref if listen.
Speaker 5 (01:53:35):
That's the only reason I brought this up is because
in my mind it's the main controversy when it comes
to transgender.
Speaker 9 (01:53:41):
Well, it's a huge one, Tom, But I mean, really
think about it instead of like, and I'm just going
to the high school thing. Twenty girls feeling feeling icky
because there's a guy in there compared to one guy
that's gonna feel icky because he doesn't feel as if
he belongs in the men's.
Speaker 3 (01:53:59):
It's not well, it can be.
Speaker 7 (01:54:02):
And here's you know, go ahead and explore concepts like
third third gender locker rooms or third gender bathrooms to
give people like a designated space that maybe don't fit
into one or the other two. I'm not personally opposed
to that option. I know anytime I'm out in public,
if I see a gender neutral bathroom somewhere, I'm like, oh, yay,
thank god.
Speaker 3 (01:54:22):
Yeah, yeah, I know what you mean.
Speaker 5 (01:54:24):
Listen, we got to take this break, and you're welcome
to hang on if you want. Gilbert has a comment
I'll take right after the break.
Speaker 3 (01:54:30):
Whatever.
Speaker 5 (01:54:31):
Listen, people, I've never known a trans woman, and since
Brie called the show, I asked permission, can we talk
about stuff like this? Because I want to know how
people stand on these issues, because to me, it just
seems wrong that a boy, especially a biologically intact male,
can simply go to a girl's locker room just because

All right, Gilbert, thank you. Gilbert.
Speaker 5 (01:56:19):
Look, I'm not gonna try to justify it, and I believes.
All I'm saying is I believe people. There are many, many, many,
many many many people who live contrary to the way
I would live, or live another way than I live,
or believe other things that I don't believe. Okay, So
what I mean, look, at I don't understand even understand
(01:56:40):
what you were trying to say. But I don't go
around pointing fingers and trying to change everybody to my
point of view. I just don't do that. So I
don't even know the point you're trying to make. In
any case, I think that what bothers people. I think
maybe maybe I'm wrong, but I think what bothers people
(01:57:00):
other than Gilbert's just bothered by the whole thing. What
bothers me more than anything, I guess is this thing
that he gets into the sports. I mean, that's the
one thing that I find and the locker rooms and
that kind of thing, because it just is it's hard
to reconcile. And even Bree acknowledge that, Brie, who is
(01:57:23):
a trans woman, saying, look, I'm transitioning. I'm at the
beginning of these stages, and I recognize there are a
lot of weird categories and weird issues and weird things
going on because there are no answers, there's no pat
answers for any of this. The question is, if a
young boy decides he wants to be a girl, at
what point should he be allowed in a girl's locker room?
(01:57:46):
If ever, and at what point should he be allowed
to compete with girls? And I think that people bend
over backwards trying to be correct about it and not
to hurt people's feelings.
Speaker 3 (01:57:57):
But at some point something's got to give in society.
Speaker 5 (01:58:02):
We you know, we all want to live our own
separate lives, but when that starts interfering with other people's lives,
then it gets weird. And I know that nowadays it's
it's hip to try to accommodate everyone. Do you remember
the tape we saw, Mark, We watched this tape.
Speaker 3 (01:58:24):
It was during the.
Speaker 5 (01:58:25):
Democratic National Convention and there was some caucus.
Speaker 9 (01:58:30):
That was meeting, and before that was the best they
all started. Yeah, everybody was hurting everybody.
Speaker 5 (01:58:39):
Yeah, So it all started out by saying, first of all,
this one woman asked that there be no applause.
Speaker 9 (01:58:44):
They had to use their what do you call that
when you just rub your fingers together and look like
an idiot.
Speaker 5 (01:58:50):
Well, no, they could do jazz hands too, you know,
the shaking of the hands instead of applause. And then
then someone else said that they didn't like something or
and they couldn't even get to the meeting because they
were dealing with all of these issues, you.
Speaker 9 (01:59:05):
Bring up something interesting if someone is if someone doesn't
like noise, like the person we're talking about, they got
so mad that people were clapping. Kind of going back
to what Bree said about a third bathroom. Should we
have noise rooms in every airport? Well, of course, government, But.
Speaker 5 (01:59:25):
I think sometimes what we do as people is we
tend to bring up the most exaggerated circumstances in order
to marginalize or to dismiss people.
Speaker 3 (01:59:35):
I think we do. Like you know, you always hear
I don't know how many times.
Speaker 5 (01:59:41):
I've heard this, are you in favor of gay marriages?
And then they say something like, well do you think
you should be able to marry your dog? I mean,
you know, they just go crazy with their comparisons and
their analogies.
Speaker 3 (01:59:55):
And all I want to do is get right down
to most people.
Speaker 9 (01:59:58):
Though ninety nine per cent that people could care less
who marries who.
Speaker 5 (02:00:04):
I agree, and I think people don't care who's transitioning
to you.
Speaker 9 (02:00:08):
When taxes and other things are special, special things are
made for it. And that's not necessarily true with gay
weddings or gay marriages at all. I don't know of
anything special. It's just like any other marriage. But once
again we're creating a third bathroom for people that are trands.
(02:00:28):
Seems crazy to me as a business owner. Now I
got to go out in the Nobody stores. Think of
the cost of that would be insane.
Speaker 5 (02:00:37):
Well, I think it's easy just to have gender neutral bathrooms.
What's wrong with that?
Speaker 3 (02:00:42):
I mean, that's easy.
Speaker 1 (02:00:43):
Then you would have no problem with that. In fact,
a lot of breweries are like that.
Speaker 3 (02:00:48):
Yeah, I mean there's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 1 (02:00:49):
There's one thaw. You go in, you lock the door,
you do your business, you leave.
Speaker 5 (02:00:54):
But everyone has their opinion on how life should be
lived and how other people should live and how you know, I.
Speaker 3 (02:01:01):
Believe in.
Speaker 9 (02:01:04):
If it fix it, Like you don't care how other
people live, I know, not at all years, not at all, not.
Speaker 1 (02:01:11):
I don't care until it affects my wallet.
Speaker 9 (02:01:14):
The only thing that irritates me about Breeze Call has
nothing to do with Brie It's that here's a minority,
a very small minority of people, they can get.
Speaker 1 (02:01:24):
Laser hair removal paid for, but no one else can.
Speaker 3 (02:01:28):
I find that just nuts.
Speaker 5 (02:01:31):
Okay, I understand, and and I know you were hung
up on that saying you know we're all paying more
for health insurance because of stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (02:01:40):
Yeah, and there are people who believe.
Speaker 5 (02:01:42):
That health insurance given by the government shouldn't pay for
abortions or stuff like that.
Speaker 3 (02:01:48):
There are millions of controversies we can bring up, but.
Speaker 5 (02:01:51):
Right now I just have one, and that is what
do we do with young men and young women in sports?
Speaker 9 (02:01:59):
It's already been Trump took care of it pretty much.
If the college wants money, they're not going to do it.
If the high school gets caught doing it, people are
going to get fired.
Speaker 3 (02:02:09):
So you're saying that the birth gender is what counts,
and again I'm using And.
Speaker 1 (02:02:16):
That's another thing just when it comes to competition.
Speaker 9 (02:02:20):
And I think most people can say when kids are
under twelve years old, who cares. They can all play softball, baseball,
basketball all together like we all did in Jim. But
we're talking about when you start getting into real world,
where you start getting college paid for and other things
like that, that's where it becomes not fair. I don't
want some guy taking a girls scholarship. That's absolutely crazy. Yeah,
(02:02:46):
and that is what I started out talking about.
Speaker 3 (02:02:49):
What do you think?
Speaker 5 (02:02:49):
And Brie said, Hey, I don't really know, Bree doesn't
have any answers. I think sometimes Brie, let me ask
you this, when you get to know people, well, is
this what what do they bring up? I know people
are dying to talk to you about it, but they
may at first just avoid everything. But when they do
bring up topics, what do they normally bring up when
(02:03:11):
they're talking to you as a trans woman?
Speaker 7 (02:03:15):
These are you probably hit the two biggest ones a
lot of Like it's sports definitely, like what what do
what's fair for sports? And then like you know, the
topic of genitals and bathrooms, like what's what's the right
answer there? And that's the things that definitely people are
focused on the most these days.
Speaker 9 (02:03:35):
Yeah, and okay, I told I just want to say
this with Brion real quick. I told this story kind
of off air on our YouTube a few weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (02:03:44):
I was in core power yoga.
Speaker 9 (02:03:46):
I've gone there, I've got like seven hundred classes over
X amount of years, and the first time this has
ever happened there. There was someone transitioning from a woman
to a man in the class, no problem with that,
but they were topless, so they were naked with full
on breasts and then afterwards they were in the men's
(02:04:09):
changing room. I just found it very odd. First of all,
the most odd part was that they were literally topless
in the class. I was uncomfortable, and it takes a
hell of a lot for me to become uncomfortable.
Speaker 3 (02:04:23):
So Mark, this was someone who was transitioning to be
a man.
Speaker 1 (02:04:26):
Yes, and they still had all the female parts up top.
Speaker 3 (02:04:31):
Now here is something that breathed.
Speaker 9 (02:04:34):
It wouldn't have been and it wouldn't have even it
wouldn't have even hit anybody's radar in the class if
they didn't take their shirt off like like a lot
of men do it.
Speaker 3 (02:04:44):
It was nuts.
Speaker 7 (02:04:47):
Okay, but that person brought and wanted to feel like
a man when they were in class with all the
other men.
Speaker 1 (02:04:53):
But they still have three but they still have all
the female parts.
Speaker 7 (02:04:57):
Yeah, it's very unc comfortable.
Speaker 1 (02:05:00):
For other people.
Speaker 5 (02:05:02):
Did anyone pick up on something Brief said that it
makes most people uncomfortable. Breed brought something up that I
think people need to know too, and that is there
is no monolithic thought. Brees said, there's controversy within the
trans community.
Speaker 3 (02:05:20):
To see, they don't all agree. They don't even agree,
So it's not.
Speaker 1 (02:05:25):
Like you're the only reps. I mean, of course, right,
I mean anything.
Speaker 5 (02:05:30):
But we tend to think that if you're of this
community or of this category, you must think a certain way.
And Brie said, within the community itself or the category
of trans there are people who disagree in the sports
thing and they start arguing themselves.
Speaker 3 (02:05:48):
By the way, you guys, take this break, Okay, go ahead,
and what let's bring it on.
Speaker 9 (02:05:53):
The sports thing just when we come back, brief, if
you're going to hang with us, what I would like
to know, like the majority already of your friends, what
do they think on the sports thing? Not not everybody,
but the majority of people that are in your everyday life.
Speaker 3 (02:06:10):
Okay, we'll talk about that coming up.

three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martina here,
uh three all three seven to one three talks seven
one three A two five, Welcome to the show.
Speaker 3 (02:07:02):
Well, we got off on a.
Speaker 5 (02:07:03):
Tangent here because we was helping Brie with a health
insurance issue. Bri is a trans woman transitioning from man
to women and came up with an insurance health insurance
issue that we were talking about. And then I said,
you know, do you mind if I asked you some
other questions And we started talking about, you know, women's sports,
because that seems to be and Bree acknowledges that that
(02:07:26):
seems to be one of the biggest areas of controversy
even within the community of transgender people, as to if
young men should compete with young women, and if they
should be allowed in locker rooms, et cetera, et cetera.
Then Mark asked a question on the way to break
and Mark, you wanted to know in her dealings with
(02:07:48):
people in her category as transgender people.
Speaker 3 (02:07:53):
You wanted to know what Mark, if they agreed, no, disagreed.
Speaker 1 (02:07:56):
Not even listen.
Speaker 9 (02:07:58):
I mean, I'm sure most of her circle is not
just the trans community. My goodness, I'm sure she's got
friends of all walks of life. Like all of this,
I was really getting to this. I guess I'll put
it like this, like, what do most people that she
knows think about that sports issue, regardless if they are
(02:08:19):
trans or not? And then a follow up question to that,
Bree would be, how many people in your circle as
big of a circle as you want to draw, hate
Trump or love Trump?
Speaker 7 (02:08:32):
Sure? Okay, So to the first question, I would say,
I mean, my I do have probably more trans friends
than a normal person. I'd say, you know, maybe I
don't know, twenty thirty percent of my social circle or
something like that is trans.
Speaker 14 (02:08:49):
Yeah, and.
Speaker 7 (02:08:51):
Taking out like the entire social circle, I'd say, most
of the people that I know probably don't think that
trans women should compete in men's sports about.
Speaker 1 (02:09:01):
How about the trans how about that thirty What would
you say that?
Speaker 7 (02:09:07):
I say, the prevailing the prevailing opinion among trans people
is probably that they should be allowed to compete in
women's sporting events. Okay, you know that's just one spitball,
wild thing. I've never seen a whole or dating on
it or something.
Speaker 3 (02:09:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:09:26):
Then the next question, wouldn't you say beyond the shadow
of a doubt. I don't think there's any trans other
than Caitlin Jenner. I don't think I know of any
is a huge Trump fan.
Speaker 3 (02:09:37):
That's what I mean. I don't other than her. I
don't think there's anyone else.
Speaker 1 (02:09:41):
I don't think that's a fair assessment.
Speaker 5 (02:09:45):
Yeah, that's just my gut. I think I exaggerated a little,
but I don't think there's many. There are many Republicans
among them.
Speaker 7 (02:09:55):
No, Trump, Trump is probably pretty well despised among the
LGBT you community, just because of how hard it seems
like he advocates against transgender rights, of how hard he
pushes against the things that our progressive you know, components
are trying to push forward.
Speaker 3 (02:10:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (02:10:15):
Yeah, I mean he's probably pretty well hated.
Speaker 3 (02:10:18):
Yeah, I think that's safe to say. I look at
here's the deal, you know, let me ask.
Speaker 1 (02:10:25):
One more question, Tom, then you can finish it up.
Speaker 3 (02:10:28):
Go ahead. Yeah.
Speaker 9 (02:10:28):
We had someone on YouTube asking this if you were
in a female dressing room, Bree, you in a gym
or somewhere along those lines, and people were uncomfortable and
came up and said, hey, would you mind leaving? I'm
very uncomfortable. How would you react?
Speaker 1 (02:10:46):
What would you do?
Speaker 7 (02:10:49):
My personal response, I probably leave to be honest. Okay, yeah,
I really I I've so I'll tell you a little story.
I was at DA about a month and a half
ago or so, coming back in from a trip to
go see a friend's wedding. And I went and with
(02:11:09):
a baggage claim and had to use the bathroom, and
went in and used a women's restroom. Go in, do
my business, try not to bother anybody. Get out, no
big deal. And as I'm walking out the back claim,
some guy starts screaming at me, Hey, hey you, sir,
And I did mean sir, if I ever see you
using a woman's bathroom again, if I ever see it.
(02:11:30):
And he's at this point standing in my face, yelling
at me, pointing his finger at me. I think he's
about to hit me. Yeah, And and this is just
for using a women's bathroom.
Speaker 1 (02:11:42):
That's pretty over.
Speaker 3 (02:11:44):
Right now, Bree, do you look like a guy right now?
Do you look like a woman? I mean, I you
know we can't see you.
Speaker 7 (02:11:50):
Do I'll tell you what, Tom, I'll send you a
picture hairless hairless? No, A good job.
Speaker 5 (02:11:59):
So, but truly, I wondered like when you were walking out,
did it look like a guy walking out of the restroom.
Speaker 7 (02:12:07):
Or I Yeah, I do my best. Tom like to
look the part as well as I can, But I'm
about pounds. My shoulders look like a linebacker. Yeah, so
that's like if you just look at it like, I'm
the kind of person that most people don't want to
start fighting fights.
Speaker 1 (02:12:26):
With, to be honest.
Speaker 5 (02:12:27):
Yeah, yeah, yeah so someone else, someone else texted me something,
and that is it's really a thoughtful question. They're not
trying to be jerks. I know who this person is,
but they wanted to know, and I don't want you
to answer. Now we'll come back about sexual attraction? Does
that play into transgenderism? In other words, are you automatically
(02:12:49):
if you're going to be a woman, is it be?
And do you are you attracted to men?
Speaker 9 (02:12:54):
Think think of Bruce Jenner, He transgendered and likes the
exact same sex you did both ways.
