Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, ripped up news need advice, so.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
You don't have.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Come running. Just as fast as we can. Shooter's gonna
help coming.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Man Dix is the Troubleshooter Show.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
Now, Tom Martino, Hey, Tom Martino here, and I welcome
you to the only show of its kind. I'm at
the mothership today. That means at the flagship iHeart Studio,
and that means that if anything goes wrong, I cannot

(00:42):
be blamed at all.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
So there, welcome.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
By the way, we are here to solve problems, to
answerr question, to take complaints. You just have to call
me three oh three seven one three talk Thario three
seven one three eight two five five. That's here the
iHeart number. And then we have a number that you
can call twenty four to seven to get through. Leave
a message. We'll get back to you, and that is

(01:09):
three oh three Martino three oh three six two seven
eight four six'. SIX a lot to talk about, today
But i'm going to, start as always with phone. Calls
if phone calls take precedent on the, show AND i
respect your. Time And richard called yesterday about a possible,
scam AND i, Said, richard you may have touched on
something But i'd like to warn others one thing about this,

(01:31):
show AND i love it because a lot of local
media will listen to this show and then go do,
stories which is. Good by the.

Speaker 4 (01:38):
WAY i like. THAT i like when we all.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Do stories about scams and ripoffs because it helps. People So,
richard let's talk about you got a phone call and
you said it was a weird phone. Call so can
you explain what? Happened like out of the, blue you
pick up the phone and they, say this is you,
KNOW i did. Healthcare, oh let me get to. You

(02:04):
there you, go, Sir go, ahead, sir there you. Go
so you pick up the phone and they, say, hey, Hello,
richard this Is United healthcare or what what what? Happened
oh guess. What we're having some technicalities with the. Phones

(02:26):
so hold, On, richard we'll get to. You but HERE'S
i can sum this, up not just With. Richard richard
may have another, issue but when people call, you be very,
suspect and even when you make the, call be suspect
unless you're absolutely positive where you are.

Speaker 4 (02:48):
Calling that is critical.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Because even, now like if you get an email that
says you know your your package is delayed at the
port or thank you for your. Order they do a
lot of, that thank you for your. Order you've been
charged four hundred and fifty, bucks it'll be shipped within
an hour or. Whatever and then you wait out to
do that INSTEAD i, said order details, here and then

(03:15):
you go there and they want you to log in
using your, credentials they say for some other. Account now
here's What i'm getting. At What i'm saying is is
that what happens is that those links are all. Bad
so it could be, unplugged by the, way Because mike

(03:35):
moves that phone all over the desk, Anyway so we're
trying to figure out our phone. Problems so bear with us.
Anyway so whenever you get an email or a phone
call or, anything, obviously don't click any of the. Links
you would think this would be painfully, obvious, painfully But Deputy,
doc you work when you're not. Here you also volunteer

(03:58):
on an elder OR i call it an ELDER. Aarp,
Yeah American Associations Retired persons and they have a hotline
for helping.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
People how many people click on?

Speaker 2 (04:08):
LINKS a lot of, them don't They they they don't
even they don't know any.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Better, well you, know that's a.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Problem you know a lot of older people aren't used
to computers, yet and they get.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
They trust all, links they trust everything well as that they,
trust they don't know what to.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Do somebody tells them that the system is corrupt and
there's a. Virus they believe it because they don't know
enough to realize. That you just that the virus isn't.
There so that's.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Hard that is a scam just to get your information right.
NOW i sometimes hate talking about this because my, listeners
my regular, listeners will, say wait a, MINUTE i know, This,
Tom i'm not, stupid but you'd be shocked at how
many people still fall for these these clicks and these

(04:58):
links within emails or even a phone call that calls
and says you know and, something and then they need.
Information so now let's go To. Richard we did fix the.
PHONES i think, Here Hey, Richard, yeah so tell.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
Me did the call come in out of the? Blue?

Speaker 2 (05:15):
YES i wonder how they got your phone?

Speaker 6 (05:17):
Number, WELL i get a lot of, calls you, know from.
Scammers they get, okay phone.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Number what did they say right off the? Bat did they,
say hellover is This richard so and? So did they
know who you were did they? Fish, well tell me
about the.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
Call, well the call was they said they were From United.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Healthcare and what did they say they were calling?

Speaker 6 (05:42):
For and they used my first?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Name, okay and then they.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
Want to tell you to uh oh use the keypad
to put in the.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Information and what did they want to?

Speaker 6 (06:03):
Know and they wanted to know my birth?

Speaker 2 (06:06):
Date and is that all they?

Speaker 6 (06:08):
Wanted well after that they hung.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Up as soon as you gave your birth, date they
hung up absolutely. Okay and and you gave it, right
you gave it to? Him oh, yeah and you did?
It did you do it on the key did you
do it on the? Keypad?

Speaker 6 (06:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay and they hung.

Speaker 7 (06:32):
Up.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Okay now this is WHAT i call a one line.
FISH i want to explain.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
This this is really.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Important This they probably obviously weren't From United. Health And
United health doesn't call you and asked for your birth.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Date what you have to do is call.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Them they'll call you and say call us, back and
then you call a legit health number or or you
see health or any one of. Them but, here that's
WHAT i want to talk about WHEN i talk about
a one line fish pH. Ish, okay for, example credit
card with a credit.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
Card you need certain.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Information you need the zip, code at the very, least
you need the three, code the three digit. Code you
need the credit card number and expiration. Date sometimes they
get information but they're missing one, thing like with. Identities
many times they'll have your, name they'll have your, address

(07:31):
leave and have a phone, number but not a date of.
Birth and many places use a date of birth or
a social to authenticate. You so they may say to, You,
richard so and so they have all the. Information can
you give us the last four of your soul? Show
that's really all they? Want and then they hang? Up
or can you give us can you verify your? Whatever

(07:55):
and then and whatever they need they have you, verify
so to. Speak and because they have other pieces of,
information you've considered them. Legit but if they get the missing,
piece like your birth. Date, Now, richard what you really
need to do is be on the lookout for identity
theft or some kind of accounts opened in your. Name
And i've said this, Before i'll say it. Again everyone

(08:16):
listening to this show knows. It everyone listening should have
a credit freeze on all three credit. Bureaus a credit.
FREEZE i have a credit freeze on all three of.
Them you can log. In now That's, TransUnion, equifax And. Experience,

(08:37):
okay those are the only three you. Need, okay the only. Three, Experience, Equifax,
TransUnion get an online account with. Them go there and
get an online. Account with an online, account you can
get one free credit report per year per. Agency you
can contest all your negative charges. Online you can do

(08:59):
anything you want, online check your, credit check. Denials now
here's what you. Do you put a freeze on there
that is locked and unlocked at. Will so when it's,
locked no one can open.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Up an account in your.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Name no, one because when they go to check, credit
credit is. FROZEN i one, time for, example went to
apply for another credit card THAT i wanted because of the,
perks AND i was turned. DOWN i, SAID i wonder
why my credits eight? Fifty SO i went and found out.
Why they, said unable to attain credit to obtain, credit

(09:40):
so THEREFORE i had to unlock. It so you can
literally go into your credit reports if you're shopping for a,
car for, example and unlock your credit files for three
days or four.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
Days you can put.

Speaker 2 (09:53):
The open and the unlocked and lock date back so
it'll automatically relock when you're done, shopping because when people
go to use your, identity inevitably they'll check credit and
if they can't get your, credit they're going to not
be able to open the. Account so, Please, richard do

(10:17):
me a. Favor have you ever been online to the credit? Bureaus? No,
OKAY i really think it would help. You are you
pretty savvy with a computer or, Not, RICHARD i can have. Help,
okay here's what you want to. Do ask someone to
help you to Establish there are free online accounts with

(10:40):
all three credit. Bureaus now they have paid services that
monitor your credit and identity, protection all. That none of,
that you don't need. It every one of them has
a free online portal free that you can go on
and manipulate certain things in your credit. File in other,
words your, name your, address gets your age if they
have your age. Wrong What i'm saying is you need

(11:02):
someone to help you establish an on an online profile
for you at all three of Those, Experience equifacts And.
TransUnion once you have the online profile, established you can
then institute a credit. Freeze this is something THAT i

(11:23):
think everyone should.

Speaker 5 (11:24):
Do, yeah for anybody in our audience that's, LISTENING i
have the contact information for all three. BUREAUS i will
listen to the show tomorrow AND i will give you
the contact.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Information, now what do you mean by the contact both.

Speaker 5 (11:39):
The phone number and the website for the credit to
make sure they get the right.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
One, YEAH i THINK i have. THAT i can dig
that up IF i need. TO i THINK i have.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
That on one, show tom there's something called a fraud,
alert which.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Now a fraud alert is after you suspect something might.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
Happen, Right but if you go to open up a credit,
card do something where they don't check your your Credit
in other, words let's say it's A i don't know what's,
from for, example.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
But they all check credit.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
Doctor, well a furdaler will protect you for those people
who don't don't put a credit freeze.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
On so, either what does a fraud alert To, well.

Speaker 5 (12:18):
If somebody truts to open up an, account use your
information if they don't have your pin?

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Number, okay got? It so what do you do you call?

Speaker 5 (12:27):
It you call the number eight hundred five two five
six to eight.

Speaker 4 (12:32):
Five what does that give?

Speaker 2 (12:34):
You that?

Speaker 5 (12:34):
Is that Is equifax Fraud. Line they will contact the
other two. Agencies really, yes.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
And they will put it'll put a fraud. Alert so what.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Happens they'll ask you some, questions right then they send
you a snail mail a letter confirming it and giving
you A.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Uni how long do you keep a fraud alert on?

Speaker 5 (12:56):
There as long as you?

Speaker 2 (12:57):
Want? Well would everyone do? It or is only if
use back? Fraud there's no reason not? To but then
if you do it credit, freeze are they?

Speaker 5 (13:03):
Redundant, well if someone doesn't, check if somebody's going to
open up a credit card where they don't check the
CREDIT i don't know how often That, okay.

Speaker 2 (13:14):
A fraud alert would still be.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
Triggered, yeah because they don't have the pin, number.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
And so the creditor would ask for a pin number when.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
He goes to open up the. Account he won't be
able to because they'll have to it will have to
check a pin number in order to issue the credit.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Card all, right what's that number? Again it's eight hundred hold, on,
yeah eight hundred and five.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Two five five two five six two.

Speaker 2 (13:44):
Eight? Five do you give that out that much that
you remembered? It? Yeah and that's this is to put
a fraud alert on your credit, right and That's.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Equifax but it will do all, three they.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Will contact the other two.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Agencies so once you do it with, equifact now this
doesn't take the.

Speaker 4 (14:00):
Place, no it doesn't of a. FREEZE i think you do.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Both absolute there's no reason not.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
To, Okay I'm Tom.

Speaker 2 (14:09):

I'm Tom. Martino you're a, troubleshooter so let's talk To Dan.
Dano what is going on With express? Tolls?

Speaker 8 (15:27):
Dan, Hey, TOM i actually called the number to leave
a voicemail but ended up talking to, people and HERE i, am,
Well i'm.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Glad we were able To i'm glad we were able
to get your. Call what's?

Speaker 8 (15:39):
Happening SO i don't have my, notes so EVERYTHING i
see is, general but in a, Nutshell i've Had express
hole tags four, years starting roughly twenty, thirteen a few
years ago After i'd already.

Speaker 2 (15:59):
Been, now is this the one that goes on your
winter several? Kinds is it a little transparent sticker with
the black on it that goes on? There or is
it a transponder that you can flip TO hov or
tell me about?

Speaker 8 (16:12):
IT i have, both but this kind of got triggered
WHEN i paid for the switchable kind that you, know
depends on how many people you, have and, yeah, yeah,
yeah and the express lane for?

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Free then you see? It, Okay so you, had you
had one and switched to. Both, YEAH i have more
than one, car BUT i have got.

Speaker 8 (16:34):
It This this all got kind of escalated WHEN i
donated an old car and wanted to move my switchable
one to a new, car and they said no BECAUSE
i have this outstanding. Debt so Now i'll tell.

Speaker 2 (16:48):
You here's what it's all. About is.

Speaker 8 (16:52):
A few years ago they told me about THIS u
haul rental THAT i owed a toe.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
For a toll. FOR i, SAID i don't think that was.

Speaker 8 (17:01):
Me they asked me IF i wanted to pay. IT
i said, no because that that wasn't.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
Me show me.

Speaker 8 (17:04):
Something so, anyway fast. Forward now they basically won't switch the.
Switchable we won't transfer the switchable thing to my new
car BECAUSE i still have. This so what it?

Speaker 9 (17:17):
Was?

Speaker 2 (17:17):
So did you did you ever rent TO u? Haul?
BRON i do not remember that it came? From what?
Year what year are they saying it?

Speaker 8 (17:26):
Happened two thousand and?

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Nine godly?

Speaker 8 (17:31):
Nine two tolls totaling five dollars ON e four Seventy and.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Wait a, MINUTE i wolls totally five or five dollars each.

Speaker 8 (17:42):
Five total to fifty?

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Each and for, that why don't you just pay, it.

Speaker 8 (17:48):
Because they have added all these collection fees over the,
years even THOUGH i don't recall ever being. Contacted so
now it's like seventy, dollars, okay and it's a matter
of the principle of. IT i told, THEM i, Said
i'll pay the five dollars right, now even THOUGH i
don't recall. That and the only thing they, have Because
i've asked them to try to provide all, documentation all

(18:09):
they have is a photograph as you go through the
toll area that shows A U haul license, plate DOESN'T i, said,
well do you have like agreement or.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
Anything i'm asking? You did you rent A U haul
in two thousand and?

Speaker 8 (18:26):
Nine, no not THAT i do not remember. That i'm
not going to say one hundred, percent BUT i don't
THINK i.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
DID i.

Speaker 8 (18:32):
Would and the thing, is they gave me an address
that at one point was a secondary home that we rented.
OUT i never in my life have put that address
on anything because it wasn't WHERE i, lived it didn't
match my driver's license, ANYWAY i know what.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
Happened i'll bet, YOU i know What i'll bet. YOU i,
Know i'll bet. YOU i, Know i'll bet you someone
you rented, to how do you haul they didn't pay
on the notice was sent to their, address which is the,
rental and then when it wasn't, paid they did a
title search to get your. Address i'll bet you there's

(19:11):
a reasonable. Explanation but don't they listen to at. All
they won't settle at. ALL i, mean are they that? Stickler?

Speaker 4 (19:18):
No are?

Speaker 2 (19:19):
THEY i heard they were pretty. EASY i heard they
were pretty easy to deal. With i've not heard. That,
No i've heard. That i've actually heard they're pretty easy
to deal with when you actually call them and, say,
look i'd like to work this.

Speaker 8 (19:33):
OUT i asked to speak to a. Manager she said.
Nope they said they could take off Twenty.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
Listen let me ask, You, Dan, Dan, DAN i know
all about the principle of.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
IT i hear that all the.

Speaker 2 (19:49):
Time but if they're willing to take off twenty so
it's around fifty, bucks isn't it worth just get? It
just paying?

Speaker 4 (19:54):
IT i, Know i'm, serious pay it.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Under protests and tell them please make a note on
my record THAT i never had, this But i'm paying.
IT i, Mean i'm, Serious, DAN i know that you're, saying,
well it's the principle of the, thing but it's really
going to disrupt your life and your. Routine do you
know What i'm? Saying do you? Think don't you think

(20:16):
at some point sometimes it's worth. COMPROMISING i get that
you didn't make this, toll but maybe fight it after
you pay. It in other, words pay it and then
do a small claims or, something or do something, after
but pay it so you can move. On what do
you Think i'm? Asking that's?

Speaker 8 (20:36):
MINE i, MEAN i don't use the toll that much.
Anyway it's not worth it to, me even THOUGH i
paid twenty bucks for my transponder THAT i can't put
on a new car or EIGHTEEN i think is what it.
Was it's more just the way they've treated Me Like.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
Dan But, dan you're dying on a hill no one cares.
About when people say it's the principle of the, THING
i get it, now. SERIOUSLY i get that if the
principle was being observed and others could see your fight
and your. Victory but if it's a silent fight and
you're just fighting it because you're pissed, off and fifty

(21:12):
bucks can make it go, away and then after that
you can fight What i'm saying Is i'm trying to
use practicality. Here AND i get what you're. Saying you're
all pissed. OFF i get, It but, Man i'm telling
you THAT i. WOULDN'T i wouldn't go through the. Trouble
what were you calling us? About were you hoping we
had a contact? There we might have a contact? There

(21:32):
i'm not, Sure, kaschina do we have an?

Speaker 4 (21:34):
Angel actually?

Speaker 8 (21:35):
Wondering, YEAH i was wondering WHO i could go to
just to have someone else reach, them because clearly they.
DON'T i don't have any, leverage AND i, thought you,
KNOW i did reach out To Joe nagoo's the, representative
he's for A, yeah, yeah but they didn't do. Anything
well what are they going to?

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Do like, like here's but WHAT i don't understand is
this and maybe they would help.

Speaker 10 (21:58):
You.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
Here here's the WAY i would approach. It this is
my last bit of. Advice here's WHAT i would. Say
honest to, GOD i think this would. Work, listen, people
IF i truly owe this, TOLL i want to pay
it And i'll even pay the. Penalties BUT i don't
understand it BECAUSE i never rented A u. Haul could

(22:19):
you help show me how you connected it to. Me
there's a logical explanation for, that and they just ignore.

Speaker 8 (22:27):
You all they have is a picture of the license
plate that they Don't.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
I'm not asking. It how did they Connect how did
they connect to your address or or your? Name is
it your? Address you never got anything by, address so
it's your. Name how did they connect it to your?
Name does it go back to your? Address does it
go back to an address of real estate you? Own
that's a yes or? No it Does, okay then that's

(22:55):
how they did. It it's not a big. Mystery so
one of your, renters one of your renters did that to.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
You that that's it would.

Speaker 8 (23:01):
Logic now as far as the, rental it was a vacation,
rental so people would rent it for just a few
days at a. Time SO i don't think anybody was
moving a thing with the.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Uh, no but somebody used that. Address somebody used that.
Address that's the only way they could have tied it to.
You so WHAT i would say is, THIS I i,
mean look at we're not a good conversation here BECAUSE
i would pay. It uh, kachina do we have a
contact AT e four Seventy i've, Tried we've tried. BEFORE

(23:33):
i will let me get. Up are you the one
or somebody used to call there and get some? Results
you never called?

Speaker 10 (23:39):
Them?

Speaker 5 (23:39):
Right But, tom one of our listeners said that there's
actually a physical place you can go to and talk
to a human.

Speaker 2 (23:46):
Being, really it's she. Said the YouTuber say, That, yeah
well you can't believe a YouTuber they are? Morons which
one And i'm just kidding.

Speaker 5 (23:54):
Because he needs to go to the plus seventy customers.

Speaker 2 (23:59):
Fire fired the best. Clerk they had a friend, that,
oh that's FROM taleb and Then tom sounds like he's, muffled.

Speaker 5 (24:08):
Huh and the one above that from.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Them you guys go to the customer service in. Person, Listen,
dan try all of the, above And katschina Get dan's
number in case we find a. Contact I'm Tom. Martine.
Listen pick the hell you're gonna die on for your,
battle but make sure the battle is worth. Something frank

Speaker 4 (25:37):
Five so what's.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
Going on in your? Life i'm gonna tell you that
there's a lot of Traction i'm, getting uh this INFORMATION
i talked about yesterday on investing in meme. Stocks, now
there is no doubt that picking a stock that everyone

(26:02):
agrees will be their hot. Stock and people all From
reddit and From facebook and From instagram and From twitter
and from all of the social media.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
People THESE i don't know what to call.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Them they're not, investors they're not day, traders they're, jokers
they're just, really, truly. Truly one time it happened where
the guy, said you, KNOW i want to these people
that short games. STOP i want to thwart. Them So
i'm going to go out and buy it and drive
up the. Stock and he said he was going to

(26:40):
buy a, lot and then other people Say i'll buy it,
too and Then i'll buy it, too and.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
That's how it.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Happened then they started targeting other. Stocks i'll explain market.
Making it's pretty. Easy there's a certain amount of stock
issued in the open.

Speaker 4 (26:55):
Marketplace when it's.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
First, issued it's AN, ipo the initial public. Offering that
money goes to the company to fund their. Operation after,
that the stock price is set by the, traders who
then trade amongst. Themselves that money does not go to the. Company,
now how does it benefit the? Company, well when you
put out AN, ipo you may put out seventy percent

(27:19):
of your stock and have thirty percent in, house which
is called closely held or inside, stock and that inside
stock has a. Value when THE ipo goes out if
it starts trading at higher than THE. Ipo if THE
ipo went out at ten bucks a, share and now
that the stock went up to two hundred dollars a,

(27:41):
share all of the people with insider stock will have
increased net, worth where the company will have increased net
worth from which they can borrow against that stock for operating.
Capital but the money after the initial offering does not
go to the. Company, okay it's in The so if
you go out and buy stock that you know other

(28:04):
people are going to, buy then you buy it here
today and you wait three or four days and sell
it because you know other people are getting in on.
Purpose and then those people buy and three or four
days later sell or a week, later some of them
do it within.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
Hours you make your own.

Speaker 2 (28:20):
Market you, decide let's go after the, stock and then
everyone hurries to that stock to buy, it to take
the ride up the. Elevator they want to take a
ride for a, day an, hour, whatever and.

Speaker 4 (28:34):
They make a few bucks on that.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
Stock the danger of a meme stock is because the
company itself has no, value no real, income nothing really
to speak. Of they simply and they pick these companies on,
purpose so they can make the value they. Don't the
last thing they want is this company suddenly declaring a

(28:58):
dividend or a bigger or something that'll screw them. Up
they want to stock they can completely. Control so they
started with Game. Stop now that it went on to
a lot of other, memes but the point about the
MeMail AND i talked a little bit about it, yesterday
and as a financial, advisor Now i'm going to talk
about it AS i would if you were an. Investor

(29:19):
you can make money on anything that goes. Up. Anything
it doesn't have to have intrinsic. Value it doesn't even
have to have a viable. Company but you take a
big risk if you ever did that long. Term and,
Again i'm not for day. TRADING i don't believe in
it for most. People, okay there are a lot of
people that are great at, it and that's good for,

(29:39):
them But i'm talking about for your, portfolio for your.
LIFE i don't believe you should day trade your life away.
Now and most people don't have the time because during
the trading, hours you really have to watch every minute
if you're going to day, trade and a lot of
people don't have that time or. Energy then there are
semi day traders who just do their own portfolios and

(30:01):
they watch it maybe once a, day twice a, day
or they go back every couple of. Days but Talking, doc.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
Well it sounds to me LIKE i, said Giant ponzi,
scheme because sooner.

Speaker 4 (30:13):
Or latingly it is there's no people to buy.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
It that's, Right it legally. Is it's A ponzi, scheme
meaning the money that goes in today is being paid
back by investors. Tomorrow those investors have no promise of real,
value but they do it, willingly and because it's the stock,
market it is truly. Allowed. NOW i don't know if

(30:37):
we ever. WANT i wouldn't want a government that says
you can't do. It in other, words what if there
were trading regulations that said unless there was a certain
amount of, earnings you couldn't buy the, stock you know
WHAT i? Mean that would do away with memes and
all of.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
That but you'll never find.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
That, god you don't want that.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Much you can't free market. Trading so these people are
going in knowing there's no, value but hoping that the
next group buys them, out and then it climbs up the.
Ladder and you said it like you, said at some
point people are not going to pay, more and it
gets to a point where it's a ridiculous, price and

(31:19):
those people are stuck with that. Stock but, many, many
many more people made money on that. Stock so what
some people have done who've gotten stuck with Game stop
at a very high, price some short, it some actually
hold it and for the next go, Around so right

(31:41):
now they might, think, wow you know it's going to happen.
Again but having said all of, that because so many
people were interested in these, memes exchange traded funds have
been formed around. Them an exchange traded fund is a
wonderful investment. Instrument they're called, ETFs where brilliant fund managers

(32:08):
manage a portfolio and you can ride along on their.
Coattails it's a brilliant strategy and it's done marvels for people's.
Portfolio you get in AN etf fund like AN s
AND p five hundred or something, else or just someone
who speculates on. Technology it could be AN etf fund on,

(32:28):
Automotive it can be AN etf fund on. Anything in,
fact you have a MIXED etf fund with an undeclared.
Theme but these ETFs are brilliant investment strategies because they
have geniuses doing the. Investing they're, transparent they're. Safe but
now there is AN etf fund just for. Memes and

(32:51):
that's the part that is confusing, me because ETFs are,
legit they're well, managed AND i don't get why they're
making AN. Etf but that we can discuss in more

(33:56):
traded funds and how they relate to memes, normally in
exchange traded fund are a group of. Funds normally they
do have a theme or a, bias, like for, example
tech or automotive or something, else but they can be
mixed as. WELL i like THE s AND p five.
Hundred but the fund has a fund, manager usually someone

(34:20):
who's very brilliant at, trading and they trade and then
the fund shares its profits and or losses with the
investors in THE. Etf and they're brilliant because within that
fund you can Have it's not buy and. Hold most

(34:44):
other funds are buying and indexing regular, funds and they
index to a technology group of stocks and, stuff and.

Speaker 4 (34:53):
They don't actively.

Speaker 2 (34:55):

have a, problem question and. Complain don't ever let it.
Fester don't let someone rip you off and, uh you,
know just let him get away with. It have you
ever put money down on something and they spend that?
Money The Contractors Trust act forbids that it's probably one

(36:40):
of the most one of the least enforced laws there.
Are you, know we have weird priorities in this country
on crime and consumer crime has. Overlooked it really is
especially In. COLORADO i swear To, god you can make
a living screwing people right and left and no one

(37:01):
will do. Anything, NOW i shouldn't say. That every once
in a, while if something is egregious and a lot
of people are, hurt you might find a district attorney
to take it on or the attorney. General But i'll
tell you how to really get away with. It let
me explain how to get, it And i'll go back
to THAT etf thing too as.

Speaker 4 (37:19):
Well but this shows all about.

Speaker 2 (37:21):
Education and As i've, said, education information help and if
we entertain along the, way don't blame. Us we have.
Fun BUT i want to mention something because it's really
important when it comes to money down and when it
comes to consumer. Crime here is how you get away with.
It first and, foremost you have a diversity of. Jurisdictions

(37:48):
what that means is you go to different jurisdictions and
don't stick to. One if you stick to, one a
district attorney can gather information from their district and. Prosecute
if you go all around the metro area and all
around the area with a variety or as they, say

(38:10):
diversity of, jurisdictions each one is hesitant to take it
on because there are offenses in other counties or other,
jurisdictions so they won't do. It they won't unless you
have a concentration like In denver or a concentration In.
Aurora but if you spread it, around it's less likely

(38:33):
that anyone prosecutor or investigator will pick up on it
and come after. You the next thing to do is
when you take the money, down you start, something either ordering,
something either deliver something to the, job or give some
drawings to the. Customer and then that shows that you

(38:57):
had intent to start the. Job this is how they're
getting away with, it but they have no intent of finishing.

Speaker 4 (39:03):
Ever so.

Speaker 2 (39:07):
You do a diversity of, jurisdictions you go all, around
and it's better to do amounts under five. Grand and
then if you take money down and then you start
or give the illusion that you started the.

Speaker 4 (39:24):
Job after, that what you do.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Is you then spend the money as quickly as possible
or put it somewhere, else because they will never go
hunting for the. Money we have the worst law Now
i'm not talking about police. Officers if you're, listening the
worst law enforcement ever when it comes to economic and financial.

(39:50):
Crime and our, secretary our attorney, general is that wiser
or as like to call them. Dumber he tries to
make it sound like he is on the side of
the consumer and helps consumers and is. Strong he is.
Nothing he Is he is the, worst one of the

(40:11):
worst attorney. Generals we've, had one of the, Worst So Phil.
Wiser you, know he makes it sound AS i, said
oh we. Are you know now he's running for, governor.
Right he makes it sound like he's going after the bad.
Guy And i'd love to ask him about all of
these cases that we've had in the past and how

(40:32):
he's ignored, them because when there's a diversity of, jurisdictions
that's when the attorney general can take. Over because it's
going on now investing in, memes they're about ready to
do it. Again some activity has already. Started you take
a meaningless company that's still on the, board that's really

(40:53):
making no, money has nowhere to, go no active oversight
by the board of, directors and it just sits there
as a stock, symbol and you decide amongst yourselves as
a group to go out and buy it and ride
it up a little and then sell.

Speaker 4 (41:09):
It and they all know.

Speaker 2 (41:10):
That they're going to ride it up a little and
sell it because it doesn't matter if you make four
or five dollars of stock now or four or five
dollars a stock in three. Weeks you can get your
turn at the wheel to go up the elevator a.
Little but eventually people will get stuck with the stock
that there's mathematically it's impossible not.

Speaker 4 (41:33):
To there will be people.

Speaker 2 (41:34):
Stuck so it does resemble A ponzi, scheme except in
the stock market they call it, investing and it is
not investing when you do that, technically but it. Is
so that's why law enforcement and regulators have never gotten.
Involved and there's nothing wrong with. THAT i, mean that's
the way it is free. Enterprise you're taking a, risk

(41:55):
you're buying the, stock you're hoping somebody will want to
buy it at a higher price ley and you sell
it now. ETFs that is where it isn't.

Speaker 5 (42:04):
That almost like any any, collectible whether it's an article
or an autograph or a, painting it really has no
intrinsic value other than somebody else is willing to pay for.

Speaker 2 (42:15):
It, yeah but in this, case in this case, though
it's a little different than, that in that you know
going in that it has no, value it will never have,
value and that you will make the value with.

Speaker 4 (42:31):
Art you don't do. That you don't go in.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
And add an auction and buy a piece of art, thinking,
okay ten thousand of us had, agreed have agreed that
this will have value today at This i'm going to
sell it to my. Buddy tomorrow he's going to sell
it to another buddy after. That it's not. Orchestrated this
is an actual orchestrated deal where people go in and
they just they just mean the, hell you, know they

(42:57):
take the meme and they ride the elevator or or
the or the roller it's more like a roller, coaster
but they ride the roller coaster up, up, up up
up up up up up, up and eventually it gets
to the. Top so the ETFs exchange traded funds are
some of the best things that ever happened on the
stock market because it's a collection of, funds it's a
collection of. Stocks that's some AND i call them geniuses

(43:19):
because most ETFs are started by very brilliant, people and
you want to ride their, coattails so you get in
on all of their. Trades but you simply own a
piece of THE. Etf you don't own a piece of every.
Stock well technically you, do but you're buying into THE,
etf not into every. Stock so what is a memes STOCK?

(43:40):
Etf so some company got together AND i don't want
to give the name BECAUSE i don't want to be
looked Like i'm promoting, it BUT i will say it
was a brilliant. Idea they got together and, said, hey
if these memes are going to be a, thing why
not make a fund of various, memes not just, one but.

(44:04):
Various so you're not just going to buy Game stop
OR amc or some Other you're going to buy all of. Them,
Okay now what they, do AND i look this, up
by the, Way so THE etf bundles together a basket
of meme. Stocks these are companies with no. Value the

(44:26):
idea is diversification instead of betting on a single, company
and you spread the. Risk well that's like ANY, etf,
right except they're going in knowing that various stocks will
go up at various more people might buy Game, stop
more people might BUY amc or some other useless. Company
then what they do is they take the meme stock

(44:50):
and put it into THE etf and then they start trading,
accordingly taking elevator rides on one or two of them
at a, time or maybe they might sit tight on,
one and they they manipulate the. Memes, now a single
meme stock is it goes up or, Down so you

(45:13):
you liver or died by one stock with THE etf
because it's diversified among multiple. Memes what happens is when
one goes, up one might go. Down one might go
down WHEN i go, Up so it is slightly less,
volatile but still no. Value you're still waiting for the
greater fool, theory there's always a greater fool to buy

(45:33):
what you.

Speaker 5 (45:34):
Have, So, tom are you talking ABOUT etf of, ETFs.

Speaker 4 (45:38):
AN etf of meme.

Speaker 2 (45:40):
Stocks, yeah it's AN etf of, Memes so so exchange
traded funds and the funds they're trading are meme. Stocks
so it's safer than picking one meme stock because you
are truly not all or nothing on one. Stock so

(46:00):
as one fizzles, out you have a several others that
you can still ride the.

Speaker 4 (46:05):
Elevator it is not.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
Safe because they are speculative and they are momentum driven
by social media and private. Agreements so people are, saying
let's get in this and let's do. It so but
traders who want to do meme but they want to
do less, risk that would probably be the way to do.

(46:29):
It the e tips are safer than buying, one obviously
because you're spreading, risk but they're still remember this no
intrinsic value. Whatsoever BUT i think it is a brilliant
idea because it is a little safer because as one,
crashes another one might still be riding up the, hill

(46:50):
and they get rid of the one that, crashes and
then they pull in and substitute another. One and, theoretically
if well, managed they may be able to get out
of most of them for they, crash or if half
of them, crashing half of them, don't they can still
come out making. Money so, again that's that's AN etf
with meme. Stocks most ETFs have real, stocks you, know

(47:14):
real companies with real. Value but, uh that's not this

Her just see if she's on there or. Not one
of the uh one of the TEXTS i got has
to do with The Contractors trust To. Act they, said

(48:39):
if it's not, enforced what good is. IT i have
someone who took money down AND i know they did
not isolate that money or put it in a trust
account for me for the. Job, okay with The Contractors Trust,
act you're not going to Get Phil wiser or any

(49:00):
of these clowns around the. Das the cerroles funding das
who want to let criminals run. Free you're not going
to Get Phil, wiser who's more concentrated on running for

not going to take the. Case, okay they're just. Not
but if you do have, it you can use it

(49:21):
to go to court civilly and use the law as
a negligence per. Se it's it's like saying they broke the,
law therefore they are, negligent so you can actually use
the law to your. Advantage and The Contractor's Trust, act
if you actually read, it is pretty dang. Strong what

(49:43):
it says is that it will that that the money
taken has to literally be segregated from all other money
and it must be only used for your. Job that's
that's THE i, mean that's truly the way they do.
It so if they take that money and use it

(50:06):
for anything, else they're breaking the. Law now, again no
one's going to come and arrest. Them, unfortunately no one's
going to do. Anything but you can use it in
civil court and that's where that. Goes, now let me
take my NEXT i got another text here about they
were told that.

Speaker 4 (50:29):
THEIR ev.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
Car THEIR ev car is not eligible for certain rebates.
Anymore and that's really complicated the way they CALCULATE ev
vehicles and tax. Credits it's about how many that manufacturer,
sold because that manufacturers only allowed a certain amount of

(50:53):
cars that give.

Speaker 4 (50:55):
Full tax rebates or tax.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
Credits and then also it goes the consumer itself based on.
Income some of these actually some of the rebase fall
off when you make more money or the tax. Credits,
now let me see something, else, okay on, debt zombie.

(51:20):
DEBT i don't call it zombie. Debt this person called
it zombie. Debt they think they're being pursued for zombie.
DEBT i called it resurrected debt or. Ghosting and of,
course since ghosting has taken on another. Application but let
me explain what's happening to this, consumer because this is
pretty damn common and you got to watch out for. It,

(51:43):
so if you have a debt that is six years
old or older In, colorado they can no longer get
a judgment against. You. None therefore that they can't get
they can't take you to. Court, okay no. Reason so
you might, think, well wait a, MINUTE i don't have to,

(52:05):
pay and that's technically. True you don't have to pay
because they can't do anything to. You they can't do
anything but the zombie debt they're talking about this, person this,
texter is when a collector talks you into making a
settlement or a payment on an old, debt which resurrects.

(52:28):
It it turns it into a living the walking, debt
meaning this is a bill you normally would not have
had to pay at. All it's past the six year
statute of. Limitations so let's take this. Example this person
had a ten thousand dollars bill from credit, cards and
they are more than six years. Old they've never suit.

(52:51):
Her they can't get the. Money they can't get the,
money they can't attach, anything they can't lean, anything they
can't get a. Judgment so a zombie debt or a resurrected,
debt here's what may. HAPPEN a collector may call you and, say,
listen you, KNOW i know you got this, debt you
still owe. It they scare, you and then they say
we will settle it for one hundred. Dollars they might

(53:13):
even say we'll settle it for ten. Dollars it might
be something and to say just and then your credit
report will be.

Speaker 4 (53:20):
Restored they lie to. You they tell you all kinds of.

Speaker 2 (53:22):
Things if you settle the, debt you, know and it'll
only cost you ten, dollars or if the debt is
more than six years and it's a small, debt they,
say let's make an agreement for a small monthly. Payment
whatever you, do if you ever make a payment on that,
account or do anything at all on that, account you

(53:45):
sign anything or acknowledge, anything or make a payment or
make a settlement that resurrects and makes a new six year.
Period it's called no ovation or new debt or new.
Note so it's new and they can now pursue you
for the next six years. Again so what you've done

(54:06):
is resurrected, it and it's called a zombie. DEBT i
used to call it resurrected. Debt it's the same.

Speaker 5 (54:12):
Thing so what you have to do is get in
writing that the debt is clear and.

Speaker 2 (54:16):
Settled, well what you do is ignore. Them, well right,
right brings me To. Ubert by the, Way, hubert go
ahead and with.

Speaker 5 (54:23):
You So youbert had a problem with at and t
with returning the.

Speaker 2 (54:27):
Phone, Right, well what was that? PROBLEM i kind of remember.
IT i don't remember the Name hubert for some. Reason
but he.

Speaker 5 (54:33):
Canceled his, phone his contract WITH at AND t, yes
and they sent him a phone and he didn't want the,
phone so he never opened it.

Speaker 2 (54:42):
Up oh, yeah it Was. Metro it was, okay got? It,
yeah and so he filled out the paperwork At metro
to switch. Over then he changed his, mind but they
sent him the. Phone he sent it. Back they said
they didn't get it, Right so.

Speaker 5 (54:55):
They said they didn't get it. Ups so IT'S ups
Saying nay didn't get. It It's metro Saying nay didn't get,
it and he got a collection.

Speaker 2 (55:05):
Company all, right hold on one?

Speaker 4 (55:06):
Second what?

Speaker 2 (55:07):
Really one, second because we have another problem With. DAVID
i don't, okay and then we'll go right back to.

Speaker 4 (55:11):
You so, Problem, So, david.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
This is from three weeks. Ago i'm looking for your.
Call is that what it?

Speaker 9 (55:16):
Was?

Speaker 10 (55:18):
Yeah two or three weeks?

Speaker 2 (55:19):
Ago, Okay so what's going? On?

Speaker 10 (55:22):
WELL i talked To mark and SO i had an
accident with My FORD f one fifty twenty. Three, yeah
and the first, game first testament was about four thousand
dollars but ended up costing me fifteen three hundred and
forty seven.

Speaker 4 (55:38):
Dollars whoa fifteen?

Speaker 2 (55:40):
Thousand now was this approved by? Insurance it, was and
they didn't total.

Speaker 4 (55:46):
It so what year was your?

Speaker 2 (55:47):
Vehicle?

Speaker 10 (55:49):
About twenty twenty?

Speaker 4 (55:50):
Three, okay that's.

Speaker 2 (55:51):
Why and what kind of vehicle.

Speaker 7 (55:54):
For f one?

Speaker 2 (55:55):
Fifty, Okay i'm only asking BECAUSE i can't find your original.
Call but it's. Okay so, then so it turned out
to be a lot more. Money and what's going on
now with?

Speaker 10 (56:04):
That, Well State farm doesn't want to pay What i've.
Got i've got a five hundred dollars. Deductible so WHEN
i picked up my, TRUCK i had to pay fifteen
dollars almost sixteen hundred dollars to get my truck.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
Back now why sixteen, Hundred.

Speaker 10 (56:21):
Well it was actually it came about to be fifteen
fifty one and seventy and thirty four.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
Dollars but why they figure how'd they figure that?

Speaker 10 (56:30):
Out, well they just come up with more. EXCUSES i
just talked to My State farm insurance agent.

Speaker 2 (56:38):
Today, no but here's WHAT i. Mean, okay was this
being covered by your collision?

Speaker 4 (56:44):
Coverage?

Speaker 10 (56:46):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (56:47):
Okay and when was the? Accident i'm just filling in the.
Details SO i can give you BECAUSE i don't have
notes on this. Call so the accident was ONE.

Speaker 10 (56:57):
I believe it Was dune twenty.

Speaker 2 (56:59):
Four and was it your was your?

Speaker 10 (57:00):
Fault it was my, fault, yes.

Speaker 2 (57:03):
Okay and so you took it to the body, shop
and at first they told you it was a certain.
Amount what's the final bill right?

Speaker 10 (57:10):
Now, well the final bill came out was fifteen three
hundred and forty seven.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
Dollars, oh that's where they. Go, okay fifteen, thousand, okay
and now what And state?

Speaker 10 (57:22):
Farm State farm paid fourteen, thousand three hundred and twenty
nine forty four.

Speaker 4 (57:26):
Okay so they are. Paying so what's the.

Speaker 10 (57:28):
Problem, well they're they're charging me another eleven hundred dollars
plus my. Deposit, okay depends On.

Speaker 2 (57:36):
So you're saying you're paying more than your. Deductible, yes
what did they tell?

Speaker 7 (57:42):
You?

Speaker 10 (57:42):
Why, WELL i just you, know they've been going back
and forth WHEN i called after calling the.

Speaker 2 (57:49):
Market what is your? Deductible what is your deductible as
stated on the policy? Youself what is? It five? Hundred? Yes.
Yeah by the, way that is not a good idea
to ever have a five hundred dollars deductible with insurance
race the way they. Are but, okay if you had
a five hundred dollars, deductible you should pay five hundred
unless this is. Possible are they seeing more than one

(58:13):
claim in? There are they saying there was prior? Damage
if they see more than one claim or they think
it was more than one, incident they heap on more.
Deductibles so on the twenty, fourth you had the, accident
and and you and it was fifteen, grand and you
paid more than five, Hundreds SO i would simply say why, Why.

Speaker 10 (58:36):
Well so they're coming back and they, SAID i just
told my agent this. Morning you said The Gold Corporate
and they, said, uh more than twenty five percent of
charge with certain parts one hundred and forty.

Speaker 4 (58:49):
Five, oh so they're making.

Speaker 2 (58:50):
You they're making you pay the surcharge on the. Parts, Yep,
okay we need to get, Compass we need to get
our insurance expert on state farm. Sucks it really. Does
so the total amount out of pocket for, you did
you actually pay it under protests and now you want
to get it back or did you not pay it?

Speaker 10 (59:12):
YET i paid it BECAUSE i want my truck. Back
BUT i paid them fifteen hundred and seventy.

Speaker 2 (59:18):
Dollars, okay let's hold. On i'm going to get our insurance.
Expert it's important to hang on because they may have
an idea of how to get this. Back i'm not
the WAY i look at. It any, damages including, surcharges
should go To State farm. First you should only have
to pay your deductible and if you have anything in

(59:39):
writing that they gave, YOU i need to see why
they rejected. It. Kaschina let's Call Brian, Burns let's or

Speaker 4 (01:00:42):
David david is on the.

Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
Line Brian burns is From Compass Insurance, group just as our.
Expert he is not the one ensuring. This He david
is insured By State. Farm, Brian i've never heard of this,
before But i'll give you the rundown, basically And david
you can fill in the. Blame june twenty, fourth he's
in an. Accident his twenty Three FORD f one fifty

(01:01:05):
sustained about fifteen grand and, damages and when he went
to pick up his, car they said he had to
pay fifteen hundred bucks or more to get it. Out he,
says wait a. MINUTE i got a five hundred dollars,
deductible But State farm paid a certain amount and they
were left with fifteen. Seventy he, said wait a. Minute

(01:01:28):
he said this To State. Farm why AM i paying
more than my five hundred? Bucks and what reason did
they give?

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
You?

Speaker 2 (01:01:35):
David that's WHAT i Want brian to. Hear what reason
did they give you for paying more than your five hundred.

Speaker 10 (01:01:40):
Deductible, well every TIME i call, him they come up
with a different, excuse but it's basically labor charges were too,
much paint was too. Much we didn't take the calibration
to a different, shop they did it on. Site the
charge for clips where the state farms, things they didn't

(01:02:01):
have to pay for.

Speaker 2 (01:02:02):
Clips, Yeah, brian what is that all? ABOUT i, MEAN
I i thought the adjuster takes care of that. Crap
why would have you ever heard of that?

Speaker 12 (01:02:09):
Happening that's really so in my assumption as you filed
the claim prior to having the work, done is that?

Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Right? Yeah he went through the normal didn't you go
through the normal? Channels?

Speaker 10 (01:02:22):
OH i MEAN i took MY i took the truck
in AND i left it there because did we set
it up?

Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
Right and then they didn't they work with the, insurance
with The state farm. Adjuster, yeah, Yeah, brian he took.

Speaker 13 (01:02:36):
It, yeah that makes.

Speaker 12 (01:02:37):
Noice my point was going to be the only TIME
i ever see this happen is Whenever i've had people
that went and had all the repairs done on their,
car then turned into claim and said, HEY i want
all this, covered and then it's. There it is more
difficult because the insurance company doesn't get the opportunity to
inspect along the way and be able to see the damage.

(01:02:57):
Themselves but this doesn't sound at, All that's why is going.

Speaker 2 (01:03:00):
On, NO i DON'T i just don't understand. IT i
don't understand. IT i, mean flat out don't understand.

Speaker 12 (01:03:07):
It have they given you anything in writing about why
they're charging you this amount for why you're being stuck
with some of the, Spill.

Speaker 10 (01:03:17):
LIKE i, say nothing, Writing AND i just talked to
my agents this morning and he gave me a, breakdown
saying blah blah, blah but you Know i'm still out ten.

Speaker 2 (01:03:29):
Yeah, yeah a thousand, bucks, yeah like a thousand bucks
more or whatever it. WAS i, Mean, brian what would you.

Speaker 12 (01:03:37):
Do claim? ADJUSTER i would call the claim. ADJUSTER i
wouldn't call the. Agent i'd call the claim adjuster and, say,
Hey i'm. Confused can you put in writing where in
my policy it States i'm responsible for this damage Because
i've been, YOU i mean exactly like we're talking. HERE
i would just, say, Listen i've gone through you the entire,
process So i'm. Confused while all of a Sudden i'm

(01:03:58):
getting a Bill.

Speaker 4 (01:04:01):
That's exactly WHAT i would have.

Speaker 2 (01:04:02):
DONE i would have, said in, fact BEFORE i picked
up the, truck did you ask the?

Speaker 4 (01:04:08):
Adjuster?

Speaker 2 (01:04:09):
David did you talk to anyone? Who did you actually
talk to At State farm other than your? Agent although
your agent really should go to bad for, you but
obviously you should.

Speaker 12 (01:04:20):
Be making this. Call And i'm just saying, Though i'm
just trying to bypass that at this.

Speaker 2 (01:04:24):
Point, So, david did you talk to anyone other than your? Agent?

Speaker 10 (01:04:29):
YES i called claims many times and they got the claim.

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
Numbers and that's where they give you the different stories every.
Time you, know what a what a nickel and dime,
penny any PRECAR i, mean come on from five, Hundred
so they pay everything but a thousand bucks and make
him pay.

Speaker 12 (01:04:48):
It and they've had their hands on it the entire.
Time that's what's. Frustrating, it's you, know it's not like
he's he's done anything outside of their. Control they've seen
what's going. On so they need to vide a better
reason as to why they're not covering.

Speaker 2 (01:05:03):
Now, now if it was extra, clip if there was
something extra done outside of the realm of the, accident
was there anything extra?

Speaker 10 (01:05:12):
Done david, no they just put the put the trunk back.
Together there was nothing special, done just get it running
and give it back to. Me but you, know WHEN
I i one of your guys at petty, DETAILS i call.

Speaker 2 (01:05:28):
It right petty details for those, listening is a guy
that gives diminished value?

Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
Estimates go, ahead.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
Sir.

Speaker 10 (01:05:35):
Yeah he also said that this is a new tactic
That State farm was using across the.

Speaker 2 (01:05:39):
Board a new tactic meaning what that they charge for
penny any?

Speaker 10 (01:05:44):
Stuff, well or they just don't pay, Period.

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
So they're figuring if they make a few bucks here and,
there it's going to all add. Up that, sucks.

Speaker 12 (01:05:56):
MAN i, MEAN i would ask for something in writing
for as to why they're not covering, this because at
least then you have something. Tangible it's not it's more
than just.

Speaker 10 (01:06:07):
On the.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
Phone here's WHAT i would, Say. DAVID i would, Say
i'm talking to an attorney about a bad faith lawsuit
because of the the lack of coverage on this thousand.
Bucks and he asked me to get something in writing
as to why you paid everything but the thousand bucks

(01:06:29):
or whatever it turns out to. Be AND i swear To,
god and and and he asked me to get a.
Letter that's WHAT i would. Do call us Back david with, that, Really,
brian as far as, INSURANCE i, mean there's a lot
of things going. ON i MEAN i heard now with
some roofing claims they're actually patchworking it instead of replacing

(01:06:51):
the whole. Roof have you heard of.

Speaker 12 (01:06:53):
That, well it depends on the, city is from WHAT i,
understand or because the of the what code, states like
in A Rapahoe. County i'm not talking.

Speaker 2 (01:07:06):
About going over the. Tires i'm not talking about going
over the top of the old. One i'm talking about
literally just patching in other, words in other.

Speaker 12 (01:07:13):
Words taking some of the pieces and putting them on.

Speaker 2 (01:07:16):
There but they're, saying like this part of the roofs,
damage this wasn't.

Speaker 12 (01:07:21):
Well so WHAT i would say IS i would go
back and get someone Like excel to tell, us, hey
does this roof need to be replaced that they're trying
to use that, tactic because then you can go into
the appraisal situation where you're just disagreeing on the amount of,
damage and an umpire will almost always side with having

(01:07:41):
the full roof replaced in an instant like.

Speaker 2 (01:07:43):

let me just say. SOMETHING i don't know if it's a,
law but on next, DOOR i think you have to
be a moron to be on. There, no, No i'm.

(01:12:24):
Sorry i'm. Sorry to my YouTube, morons they don't rise
to the level of. MORON i think you're a Complete
the people on next Door i'm talking, about not though
not everyone on. Extra the people who comment are, LIKE
i have never seen more stupid, people a collection of
more stupid people in my. LIFE i swear To. God
if you had to take a forum and gather stupid

(01:12:47):
people with stupid, advice it would be Next. Door it's
almost a qualification that you'd be an. Idiot all, right
let's talk To ann and what's going on with. You what's, Happening, well.

Speaker 17 (01:13:02):
It's my mom's credit card.

Speaker 4 (01:13:04):
Debt how much?

Speaker 17 (01:13:05):
So well she said it was seven thousand, dollars, Right,
oh that's not, terrible.

Speaker 8 (01:13:15):
Not, terrible but.

Speaker 17 (01:13:19):
So, anyway she's paying a large interest fee on. It
so we called the bank AND i paid it off
and they told her to hold on the. Line and
it turned out she had another credit card with debt on.

(01:13:39):
It so now she has an eight another eight thousand dollars.
Debt she's eighty. Seven, yeah and they're charging her twenty
nine percent.

Speaker 2 (01:13:53):
Interest, yeah so what about? It, here here's what you can.
Do let it, okay, go let it, Go let it,
go and ninety seven years. Old tell me eighty seven years.
Old what are they going to do to?

Speaker 17 (01:14:09):
Her probably, nothing because she doesn't she doesn't own a,
car she doesn't own a. House but they're taking the
money out of her bank.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Account who's Taking? Why why are they doing? That close
the now. Listen, unfortunately unfortunately banks don't. Cooperate if she
started the auto, withdrawal they won't stop it unless the creditor.
Agrees you have to close the bank account and move
to another. Bank, okay you gotta. Do you absolutely have

(01:14:45):
to do. That banks will resurrect debt all the. Time
banks are in favor of, creditors not of the. Consumers,
now you can ask your bank how DO i stop
this auto? Withdrawal and if they are truly transparent and
tell you how to do, it then do it if you.

Speaker 4 (01:15:00):
Want but most banks won't do.

Speaker 2 (01:15:01):
It most banks have this stupid kokammy idea that once
you start an auto, withdrawal in order to stop, it
you have to get the creditors, approval which is the
most asinine Thing i've ever. Heard But i've seen more
and more consumers get into trouble that. Way so IF
i were you now, now they're not going to lie
to you. Though they won't say oh, yeah we'll stop

(01:15:22):
it and then.

Speaker 4 (01:15:23):
Not they won't.

Speaker 2 (01:15:23):
Lie so if you go there and they will allow
you to do, it stop the auto withdrawal and be
done with. It BUT i but now the but remember
then the credit card company knows where you keep your,
Money so even if you stop, it move the. Account
i'm Just i'm telling you move the account. Account, Okay

(01:15:44):
these charges? Allgitimate your mom, is, yeah well what have
you told her to stop using? It? Watch it wouldn't
matter if you.

Speaker 4 (01:15:51):
Stop, no they are they legitimate? Charges, yeah they're.

Speaker 6 (01:15:55):
LEGIT i we.

Speaker 17 (01:15:59):
Called them and they no longer have a record of
what the charges were.

Speaker 2 (01:16:04):
For, Yeah well how old are these? Charges do you, know.

Speaker 17 (01:16:10):
Like two thousand and thirteen or. Earlier?

Speaker 2 (01:16:13):
Oh they they can't do anything to, her nothing zero.
ZIP i mean that's remember we were just talking about
debt more than six years. Old they can't collect it
no matter what they. Do so stop the auto withdrawal.
Immediately you didn't have to pay off the other. One
did you know? That?

Speaker 17 (01:16:31):
NO i.

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
Didn't, yep you didn't have to pay it. Off there
was nothing they could have done to come after, her
nothing zero.

Speaker 4 (01:16:38):
Zip.

Speaker 2 (01:16:39):
NOW i know a lot of people, saying, well that's not, Fair,
tom she made the, debt BUT i don't care.

Speaker 4 (01:16:43):
That those are the rules of the. Game if they
don't take.

Speaker 2 (01:16:46):
Legal action within six, years they can't do. Anything, okay
so six because it's.

Speaker 17 (01:16:53):
Goad at this, point they're charging twenty nine and a
half percent.

Speaker 2 (01:16:58):
INTEREST i wish. YOU i wish you didn't waste that
other set that that's seven.

Speaker 4 (01:17:04):
Thousand it's too. Late how'd you pay?

Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
It damn?

Speaker 17 (01:17:07):
IT i transferred the money to her account and they
took it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:13):
Out, golly that is so.

Speaker 2 (01:17:16):
Sad, okay, listen get that account, closed be done with.
It they can't come after. It they can't do anything
three o three seven one three eight two five. Five
let's talk To, Ken. Ken what's going on with? You?

Speaker 4 (01:17:32):
Hello?

Speaker 2 (01:17:33):
Ken? Ken are you? THERE i don't hear, Him ken
roofing problem calling All ken's all. Right i'm just gonna
put them on hold BECAUSE i don't hear, him And
i'm gonna go To. Chris, Chris, Hey, tom how are

(01:17:55):

AND i appreciate you doing. That and then didn't you
have a story for me about your?

Speaker 5 (01:18:35):
Dad?

Speaker 14 (01:18:36):
YEAH i just kind of have a bit of a
personal connection to you with the. CANCER i lost my
dad back in twenty thirteen to the same.

Speaker 4 (01:18:49):
Cancers oh, really did he have peg gradic?

Speaker 2 (01:18:51):
Cancer, yeah it was stage four.

Speaker 14 (01:18:54):
Pancreatics, yeah he was diagnosed On thanksgiving twenty, twelve And
january ninth of twenty thirteen he.

Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
Passed my, god oh.

Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
Quick, yeah you, know. Unfortunate, unfortunately the majority of, people
when it's, diagnosed it's too, late and that's why it
has such that's why we hear these dire numbers of
ninety seven percent fatality rate within the first couple of.
Years it's it's just a, terrible, terrible terrible. Cancer why

(01:19:25):
did he why did he get diagnosed to begin?

Speaker 4 (01:19:28):
With how did that?

Speaker 14 (01:19:29):
Start you, know he just wasn't feeling well for it's
for you, know, yeah probably about a month he just
wasn't feeling, right and finally my mom made him go
to the doctor and just whammed the diagnosis and there
was really no warning signs or anything like.

Speaker 2 (01:19:46):
That, yeah you, know that's the that's the terrible nature
of pancratic. Cancer there are no symptoms until it's too.
Late AND i was just you, know WHEN i use
the WORD i was, blessed people, say how can you
use that word in the same sense as saying you were.
Diagnosed but DON'T i don't, believe you, KNOW i don't

(01:20:09):
Believe god is they're spiting people with cancer. Anyway but
WHAT i, Mean but WHAT i mean is, THIS i
was blessed with this diagnosis if you had to have,
IT i, mean because it was so incredibly, rare so
incredibly rare that it was found so soon that no spread,
anywhere and it was completely eradicated with. Surgery and THEN

(01:20:31):
i had follow up chemo and. Radiation And i'm going
to tell you. Something they call it, cured they call it.
Curative they, say look your cancer. Free, obviously what they
do they don't like using cured for a. Reason they
don't want people to stop coming back for. Screenings so,
Anyway i'm.

Speaker 4 (01:20:48):
Sorry for your Lost. Chris did he?

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Did he used to listen to The troubleshooter. Show, yeah, well.

So i've been with you since.

Speaker 13 (01:20:58):

Speaker 14 (01:20:59):

started working with the phone company back, then and they
gave me an Old Ford contoline van that had nothing
but AN am radio in.

Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
It oh, Wow that's HOW i started.

Speaker 14 (01:21:15):
Listening to you and you, know my dad had a
wood shop in this garage and we used to hang
out and there working on, projects and we always had
you on the, radio so you were always with us
once my.

Speaker 2 (01:21:26):
Dad that's, funny that's.

Speaker 14 (01:21:28):
Great and, yeah so WHEN i WHEN i heard that
that you came down with, IT i all like to
think of.

Speaker 2 (01:21:35):

Speaker 14 (01:21:36):
Again you, know you were really part of my family,
then you, know sharing the good times with my. Dad

(01:23:58):
on in your? Life what's going? On? Ken?

Speaker 7 (01:24:01):
WELL i had a new roof installed four years.

Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
Ago four years?

Speaker 4 (01:24:06):
Ago who did, it?

Speaker 7 (01:24:08):
Sir it was PR Q, EXTERIORS PRQ paim was paid
for buying. Insurance it was one of these non destructible
composite materials that supposed to come with a fifty year
warranty on. It fifty five thousand dollars insurance company put

(01:24:34):
out for this.

Speaker 10 (01:24:34):
Roof.

Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
Wow so about a year.

Speaker 7 (01:24:38):
A year after the, installation some of the shingles start popping,
up just lifting up from the.

Speaker 2 (01:24:45):
Surface was it build as? Indestructive, well how was it actually?
Build what was it?

Speaker 7 (01:24:49):
Called, well the manufacture IS F.

Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
Waves, yeah, okay, yep that's one of the best.

Speaker 7 (01:25:00):
Ones well that's WHAT i thought. Too so a year
into the after the, installation they start popping. Up SO
F waves, said, yeah they would take care of. It
so they all of the repairs were done by PR Q.
Exteriors they've been outstanding to work. With, Okay so they

(01:25:21):
said we're Gonna we're going to provide some adhesive so
that pier a qu came out and.

Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
Applied how long did it last before Those when did
they start falling?

Speaker 7 (01:25:31):
Off well within a, year not not falling, off just lifting, up,
okay the surface of the.

Speaker 2 (01:25:38):
Roof so they that sounds like you don't want to
hear this because you like the, roofer but that sounds
like an installation.

Speaker 7 (01:25:46):
Problem well wait till you hear the rest of. It
wasn't installation, issues, Okay so the adhesive didn't. Hold next,
year same. Issues so CONTACTED F waves and they came
up with a. Clip they, said, oh we've got this
clip especially made that we're going to install on any

(01:26:06):
of those shingles that have popped up and that'll take
care of. It, well within a month or so after
those were, installed they started falling off and the shingles
popped up.

Speaker 2 (01:26:17):
Again now IT'S F wave that recommended the.

Speaker 7 (01:26:20):
Clip, yes, yeah they've they've been the ones that have,
okay commended all the. Remedies and it didn't. Work it
did not. Work the clips fell off and shingles continued
to pop. Up, progressively more shingles were popping.

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Up.

Speaker 7 (01:26:39):
Wow so in the, meantime either through my contractor or
through THE F wave. REPRESENTATIVE i can't remember WHO i
got the communication from. That apparently there were some batches
of shingles that didn't have enough of adhesive on. Them,
yeah when when they were. Manufactured so this was a

(01:27:02):
manufacturer's defect from the. Beginning, okay so the third, year.

Speaker 2 (01:27:09):
You, know, now did they admit did they admit it
was a manufacturer's?

Speaker 7 (01:27:14):
Defect well it was in conversations with my.

Speaker 2 (01:27:18):
Contractor so did you actually get any kind of an
admission FROM F wave that it was a manufacturer's?

Speaker 7 (01:27:26):
Defect, well nothing in, writing but through. Conversations, well well
let me just skip right to.

Speaker 4 (01:27:34):
It will they replace the? Roof no they.

Speaker 7 (01:27:38):
WON'T i mean they made two other attempts to the remedy.
It the third one was putting it adhesive and then
guerrilla tape on it to hold it down until it's.
Set that didn't. WORK a month or so, ago they
came up with a new clip that was no fail.
Clip they put this clip on every single on the.
Roof within a few, weeks the shingles started popping, up

(01:28:03):
the clips came off.

Speaker 19 (01:28:04):
Again i'm, SORRY i want to jump back to the beginning.
Here this is the same contractor that first installed it
and is doing all of these corrections or.

Speaker 2 (01:28:13):
Yeah or Did Definite waves send their own?

Speaker 4 (01:28:14):
People, yeah they.

Speaker 19 (01:28:15):
Send their own.

Speaker 7 (01:28:15):
People, no they've been paying paying for all these.

Speaker 19 (01:28:20):
Remedies same contractor that installed the roof is in charge
of all of these.

Speaker 4 (01:28:25):
Repairs, yes, yes, gotcha but F wave.

Speaker 2 (01:28:29):
Is paying for.

Speaker 7 (01:28:30):
You, yeah so F wave essentially is saying we will
not replace the, roof will continue to try and come
up with. Remedies so at this, point four, years with
four different attempts to try and and fix, it when
it's a manufacturer's, warranty.

Speaker 19 (01:28:50):
By any chance you want to go back to F
wave and, say, hey CAN i get a different contractor
to do?

Speaker 2 (01:28:53):
This because, NO i don't. KNOW i don't think it's
a contractor after all of these attempts because there were
so many different okay, PRODUCTS i, MEAN i don't think
so at FIRST i, did but there were so many
different things that F wave did. That, yeah SO i
don't think SO i did it. First BUT i guess
What i'm asking is, this will your insurance get involved at?

(01:29:17):
All probably? Not they, said you, know we, Paid we're, done, right.

Speaker 7 (01:29:21):
Not on manufacturer? Defects, No AND i actually. HAD i
Changed Sharence insurance a couple of years, ago So i'm
with a new insurance, company so they're not gonna going
to get involved in something.

Speaker 2 (01:29:33):
That this sucks.

Speaker 7 (01:29:34):
Was initiated with the previous insurance. Company you, know my
question is what is your?

Speaker 2 (01:29:40):
Question BECAUSE i have some, ideas but go.

Speaker 7 (01:29:42):
Ahead, Well i'm looking at legal.

Speaker 2 (01:29:46):
Recourse, right that's exactly, right.

Speaker 7 (01:29:48):
And one wondering if if you've got an attorney that
would have a conversation with me about is this worth
pursuing BEFORE i.

Speaker 2 (01:29:59):
Well much. Further with certain construction, defects you can even
get attorneys. Fees. Doc didn't you have a great construction defect?
Attorney oh, Yeah Scott. Sullen, YEAH i was going to
say that he's been around for years.

Speaker 5 (01:30:12):
And it's yeah it.

Speaker 2 (01:30:17):
Is well, no but, no but it's the same, THING
i promise you it's it's the same type of.

Speaker 7 (01:30:24):
Law, WELL i would think we should be able to
go after them for more than just the cost of
a new roof at this.

Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
Point like what would you want to go after him?
For AND i don't even understand. That what are you talking?

Speaker 7 (01:30:35):
About the time and?

Speaker 2 (01:30:40):
Effort well tell, me tell, Me, well tell me what
you're talking, about because Now i'm not in your camp.
ANYMORE i, mean what are you talking? About something ridiculous
or WHAT i? Mean tell me exactly what you. Mean
you think you should get more than the cost of
the roof or? What what do you? Mean tell me
what else you. Need they've been supplying the, materials your
roofer has been doing. It tell me what you deserve

(01:31:01):
in addition to them replacing the. Roof i'm not challenging.
You i'm asking you what do you? Deserve what would
a jury grant you if nothing?

Speaker 7 (01:31:10):
Else attorneys fees like you had?

Speaker 2 (01:31:11):
Me, well then, YEAH i already said. THAT i already said.
That but what else do you? Think because if you
go To scott with with you know he's not going.

Speaker 4 (01:31:20):
To take a ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (01:31:21):
Case, okay pain and suffering and all, that but if
there's something truly that you, deserve he'll do. IT i,
mean he's a good, guy he knows what he's.

Speaker 7 (01:31:30):

Us, now when you say, Credits i'm not sure what
you're talking.

Speaker 4 (01:47:40):
About so how does that?

Speaker 2 (01:47:41):
Work? Credits you say you switched from personal to business
and you had some. Credits explain to me what you
mean by.

Speaker 16 (01:47:50):
Credits they were credits from buying new, phones, okay and
you get you get credits for.

Speaker 2 (01:47:59):
That in other, words that they're going to pay off
the phone.

Speaker 16 (01:48:04):
Kind of it's like a thirty dollars credit towards the,
phone whatever new phone we bought at that, time.

Speaker 8 (01:48:10):
Like trade in.

Speaker 2 (01:48:11):
Credits and do they acknowledge that you have a that
you still are showing credits or do they say they
went away or what.

Speaker 16 (01:48:20):
They've acknowledged that we had the credits previously and that
they they assured us that they would roll over once
we switched to business.

Speaker 8 (01:48:27):
Plan uh, huh AND i promise, it but they never.

Speaker 10 (01:48:31):
Did, Phone, like.

Speaker 2 (01:48:33):
Right now we call, them what will they say there
are no credits or we're in the. Process what will they, Say.

Speaker 23 (01:48:41):
They'll say they're in the.

Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
Process and how long you've been Telling how long have

Cases So Scott sullen was the construction defect. Attorney and
we also Think Neil hollington is a great guy as.

Speaker 4 (01:50:22):
Well so that's what we. Did we referred to it.

Speaker 2 (01:50:25):
Out thank you very, Much Deputy dot must be something
in my brain a little. LOOSE i used to call
it chemo. Brain my wife, Says i'm going to lose
that excuse as.

Speaker 5 (01:50:34):
You want to finish up with.

Speaker 2 (01:50:35):
You but while we get a, minute, okay let's go
back To hubert recap that real quick again.

Speaker 5 (01:50:41):
That he had he had. CANCELED i forget what it
was WITH at AND t.

Speaker 2 (01:50:48):
And he, said and they said he never returned the. Phone,
Right so now.

Speaker 5 (01:50:54):
He SAYS ups is he said he's the collection agency
SAID ups doesn't have any record of. It what the
company doesn't have any record of?

Speaker 2 (01:51:04):
It apparently does he have a?

Speaker 5 (01:51:06):
Receipt apparently the tracking number doesn't match. Theirs the whole
point is the collecting agency want to collect a hundred
bucks from? Them, YEAH i, said, look don't even bother
let them unless they're threatening.

Speaker 2 (01:51:23):
To so they want to collect a hundred for the
phone that he should have, returned.

Speaker 5 (01:51:28):
Right but he said he returned.

Speaker 2 (01:51:29):
It why doesn't he have a?

Speaker 5 (01:51:31):
Receipt apparently there's some issue WITH ups not having a
copy of. It and Then verizon or ASSUMING at AND
t said they never got.

Speaker 2 (01:51:42):
It SO i know what you told them to ignore.

Speaker 5 (01:51:44):
It, yeah so just ignore. It it's a hundred. Bucks
they're not going to come after.

Speaker 2 (01:51:48):
HIM i don't think.

Speaker 5 (01:51:49):
So AND i, said if they come after you, again
calls and we'll figure out what to.

Speaker 2 (01:51:54):
Do you, know, people, though, really this is how many
times times have we? Heard how many times have we
heard these kinds of problems with returning? PHONES i swear to,
god it's almost like we hear as many said they
didn't get it as the ones that said they did get.

Speaker 5 (01:52:14):
It you have to go down in person to one
of their stores and get a.

Speaker 2 (01:52:18):
Receipt all. Right by the, way an, ALERT hbo max
is cracking down on password. Sharing if you are in
different devices outside of the, house you're screwed inside your
house is, okay you go from ONE tv to, another
but if you go outside your. House Now dragon's, thinking

(01:52:40):
and he's, thinking how will they know if they're outside their? House,
WELL i think if you changed zip, codes that's a
pretty GOOD i think that's a pretty good. Indication so
but in any, case a lot of these online services
say as consumers are tightening their, belts they are finding
more and more past which password. Sharing, okay here's another

(01:53:04):
thing you might want to watch out. For listen to.
This it's fraudulent. Greenwashing anybody want to take a? Guess
and what that? Means fraudulent green?

Speaker 19 (01:53:17):
WASHING i don't even know what greenwashing.

Speaker 2 (01:53:19):
Is, ah, YEAH i didn't think you. Did uh huh
see green? Washing do you know what it? Is green?
Washing anybody want to take a. Guess it's when you
claim your you claim that your product is green and it's.
Not it's so it's. Fraudulent and by the, way, SERIOUSLY i.

Speaker 19 (01:53:42):
Like buying all those carbon.

Speaker 2 (01:53:43):
Credits, yeah in, fact there are these carbon credits are
the biggest scam that ever perpetrated the. Earth, anyway greenwashing
many products say they are, green and this article, says
if you have an overly vague claim that says eco, friendly,

(01:54:05):
green non toxic without an.

Speaker 4 (01:54:08):
Explanation don't believe. It here's what they.

Speaker 2 (01:54:11):
Said look for actual affiliations with green groups that you can.

Speaker 4 (01:54:18):
Trust NOW i don't.

Speaker 2 (01:54:20):
Know about green groups you can, trust But i'm sure
you Can google it or look it up in your
in YOUR. Ai but they say that The Environmental Protection
agency also keeps a list of recommended eco companies that
have met green. Standards so there's green washing of, food

(01:54:45):
there's green washing of. Products there's no legislation on what
you can call. GREEN fda has nothing about what you
can call green and what you can't call. Green so
what you have to look for is affiliation with groups
that are truly, organic, okay or truly. Green and Again

(01:55:07):
i'm not going to go through, those but there there
are affiliated people for cleaning, products they're affiliated people for,
food they're affiliated people for automobile, products for, textiles and
then real quick mark are you?

Speaker 4 (01:55:23):
There this is something you got to.

Speaker 2 (01:55:24):
See.

Speaker 4 (01:55:25):
This this is.

Speaker 2 (01:55:27):
The, best one of the best Websites i've ever. Found
it's called end Of life Dot. Date end Of life Dot.
Date this is the most incredible Website i've seen it
has applications and devices and what is set and What,
also it has, frameworks it has operating systems and, systems,

(01:55:53):
applications what it. Is IF i went to devices AND
i went for example and under device they Have, Amazon, Kindle,
apple iPad. iPhones if you hit like the, iPhone it'll
tell you when it went into, production if it's still in,
production and if it's still, supported and exactly when they

(01:56:16):
will stop supporting.

Speaker 4 (01:56:18):
It they will give you the exact.

Speaker 2 (01:56:20):
Date when you will no longer have, support backups or.
Updates so if you're wondering about buying something, used or
if you have something and you're wondering about getting something,
new that you go here like the. iPad you go
down and scroll every single generation of iPad with every
single kind of, processor and it says here's what it.

(01:56:43):
Says for, example on one of, them the iPad air
fourth Generation, okay and then it gives you the information
on it's what it supports and all, that and then
it says two years and ten months, ago eighteen, months
is it still? Supported, yes then some of them have
at the end of Date may, thirty, first twenty twenty.

(01:57:07):
Five it actually tells you when you will no longer be. Supported,
so honest To, god it's one of the most useful
Things i've ever seen BECAUSE i have a lot of,
technology and SO i look at my stuff and then
you can decide DO i need a new iPad or?
Not because when an iPad is not, SUPPORTED i have
one not. Supported it's a brick if anything goes wrong

(01:57:28):
while it's. Working oh, yeah you can use the lame
apps that are on. There you can't download new, apps
you can't update, apps you can't update the, system you
can't do. Anything it's almost useless. Now some people will
argue they shouldn't outdate things once they put them, out
but they, do and this is called end of life dot.

(01:57:50):
Date if you're interested, more coming right.

(02:05:05):
okay here's What i'm. Thinking you may want to consider
taking out a loan or getting a credit card and
putting an, engine a used engine or a rebuilt engine in.
It i'm, serious because you're buried in. IT i, mean
it's not like you're going to get anything for, it
so you're throwing that money away and you're going to
go buy another. Car, Now i'm not saying this is

(02:05:27):
wise if you did it off the, bat but when
you're in this situation to get out of a bad,
situation it might be the only thing you can.

Speaker 4 (02:05:36):
Do so you take so if you have good credits,
still if.

Speaker 2 (02:05:42):
You can get, along if you can get a loan
and put this up as collateral with a new, engine
or you, know WHEN i say, new rebuild that? Engine
what did they say it would cost to rebuild that?
Engine certainly they wouldn't take it all apart and just
do the head gaskets it was That did that price
include rebuilding the? Engine that price was a new.

Speaker 5 (02:06:02):
Engine now you.

Speaker 2 (02:06:04):
Say, new what do you mean, new, remanufactured used?

Speaker 7 (02:06:08):
Engine, well use.

Speaker 2 (02:06:09):
With how many miles on?

Speaker 23 (02:06:10):
It about one?

Speaker 2 (02:06:12):
Hundred, no don't do. It you're just buying more. Trouble
you're going to buy another engine with one hundred thousand
miles on, it, RIGHT i?

Speaker 23 (02:06:20):
Mean and that's what the, uh that's what the mechanics at.
All so he said that he just had to do
this recently with another, car and you know he was
able to do, it but then it started having more
trouble with.

Speaker 2 (02:06:30):
Asked, well ask him what it would. Take ask him
what it would take to rebuild that, engine and then
if you, can you get a loan and rebuild that.
Engine it's, unfortunately, dear it's one of the few things
you can do to salvage.

Speaker 4 (02:06:46):
This then at least your original.

Speaker 2 (02:06:47):
Investment you'll have too much into this, car but you're
going to have the same amount of money into another
car no matter, what and you're not going to have
the money to. Spend it's easier for you to do
an engine than to go out and find a whole,
car because you're throwing away the sixty seven hundred. Bucks
does that make sense to? You? Now do you have
credit where you could get a loan for?

Speaker 4 (02:07:08):
That or a credit? Card?

Speaker 2 (02:07:11):
Here?

Speaker 17 (02:07:12):
YEAH i?

Speaker 2 (02:07:12):
Do, okay see what he was. Saying do you trust
this guy where it?

Speaker 5 (02:07:17):
Is thank?

Speaker 2 (02:07:18):
You, okay one step at a, time call us. Back
i'm marking this down for, me And i'll talk to.
YOU i want you to first ask and. Listen i'm
in a bad. SITUATION i don't want to put more
trouble in. It what would it take to rebuild that?
Engine and then let me know what he, says and
we'll take it from.

Speaker 5 (02:07:37):
There.

Here welcome to the. SHOW i Have Pat jolliff with me.
Now he is my chief operations officer At wave Eight Wealth.

(02:08:28):
MANAGEMENT i wanted to talk about some of THE i
hear the meme stocks are coming. BACK i know we
don't mess with any of, that are. There when it
comes to, trading there's no regulations against these guys when
they go on social media and purposely say hey let's
buy this many shares and then sell them and buy
them again and show THEM i mean. NOTHING i mean

(02:08:50):
people can do what they want when it comes to meme,
trading even if a company has zero. Value, YEAH i.

Speaker 24 (02:08:57):
Think so long as excuse, me they're not in possession
of any public information and acting upon, that then they're.

Speaker 2 (02:09:02):
Okay so if they don't have inside, information, Okay now
here's WHAT i want to ask, you not about, memes
but about. Trends everything has trends right. Now tech is
going toward artificial intelligence everything and design and houses, unfortunately

(02:09:24):
they're going toward a modern. Look and there are. Trends
are there trends in?

Speaker 24 (02:09:30):
Investing, well you can follow the, money and so you
have money trends.

Speaker 2 (02:09:35):
And is it the institutional money you follow it? Is
so what are some of the Trends I'M i mentioned?
Earlier ETFs seem to be the hot commodity.

Speaker 24 (02:09:45):
It, is and not only just the, ETFs but you
can follow trends within the, ETFs exchange traded fund and
the different types of sectors in which the money is
favoring and where they're, investing and so you can get
report data on that if you want to just kind
of be follow the money. Investor and that's is.

Speaker 2 (02:10:04):
This information available to anyone that they can do it
themselves then, correct so they can find where big money
is going and follow the. Leader absolutely is that a
does that help a lot of? TIMES i, mean or
sometimes does big money make a?

Speaker 24 (02:10:19):
Mistake, oh there's definitely been mistakes in trend investing the
question about. It but for the most, PART i think
that if you're on the front end of that, wave
like with anything, else, yeah that you can you can
fare out pretty. Well it's, different obviously than fundamental. Investing
more akin to what we do and valuations and things
of that nature to try and find out what's going

(02:10:39):
on at the fundamental level of each, company what they're
doing in their, business what they're, developing what the prospects,
are pe, ratios you get into the data and so,
on and.

Speaker 2 (02:10:49):
We don't we don't make any apologies that we're not
fancy kind of get which quick meme or day trading or, now,
now the closest thing we have to it's not day,
trip but the close thing we have to quick trading
is the, fund, correct and the fund is for qualified investors,
only and that's where two to seven days it is

(02:11:11):
now with conventional investing again unless, okay it's it sounds boring,
almost is?

Speaker 24 (02:11:20):
It?

Speaker 2 (02:11:20):
Is it always like are the ETFs more of a
buy and hold because within the. ETFs they're buying and.
Selling so even though it looks like you're buying and,
holding you are literally selling and buying every time they.

Speaker 24 (02:11:31):
Are, Yeah i've seen it use, MORE i think as
a buy and hold for the basket. Effect and so
it's ETFs for a, good low cost way to get
diversification a prod across a broad sector in the market
or a market cap LIKE i want to get all
large cap and then mid cap and then small.

Speaker 2 (02:11:48):
Cap definitely, popular right.

Speaker 24 (02:11:50):
And, so and the performance has been. GOOD i, Mean
schwab has their own series of ETFs and several of
those have done quite well in the last twelve. Months and,
so you, know it just depends on the. INVESTOR i
see a lot of advisors use them as well as.
Placeholders if they're not you, know generally getting into specific individuals.

Speaker 2 (02:12:09):
Like, cash almost like, cash they'd be they'd.

Speaker 24 (02:12:11):
Be a placeholder for a sector or a market.

Speaker 2 (02:12:14):
Cap now do they Risk did they give risk ratings to? ETFs?

Speaker 24 (02:12:19):
Oh sure they rate them and the whole thing just the.

Speaker 2 (02:12:21):
Same there are some high risk.

Speaker 24 (02:12:23):
Atfs, absolutely what would be.

Speaker 2 (02:12:24):
A high RISK etf or exchange strated fund.

Speaker 24 (02:12:27):
Fund so if you, think if you think of different
market caps as being more risky than another small, Caps.

Speaker 2 (02:12:33):
Like give me an idea of what you're talking about
with caps people what they?

Speaker 24 (02:12:36):
Need, yeah, Right so a small cap sector might be
a billion to three billion in value or even.

Speaker 2 (02:12:42):
Less uh. Huh so they're small cap means small small
capitalized company as opposed to large. Capitalized, okay go, ahead.

Speaker 24 (02:12:50):
Correct and So schwab's small cap symbol for their small
CAP etf is s c H a, okay, okay and
it holds all small cap. Companies it's an algorithm based
trading mechanism that whatever company has a market cap equal
to the definition of THE etf gets bought into that,

(02:13:14):
automatically and once their market cap drops below or goes
above the stated market cap the definition of THAT, etf
then they're sold.

Speaker 2 (02:13:22):
Off, Now The New York times recently said that when
you put money into low cost stock and, bonds funds
or ets and simply leave it, there sometimes you're better
off than screwing, around and people who panic solidify their
loss right and they try to chase the.

Speaker 24 (02:13:41):
Money it's reactionary investing that gets people in, trouble whether
it's emotional or it's going off any sort of data,
mechanism And buffett would say the same. Thing you, know
the traditional quote from him him is IF i buy
a company, TODAY i don't care if they close the
stock market for the next five. Years it's not WHAT
i did it. For it's not the reason THAT i
bought that. STUFF i understand their annual. Reports i've been

(02:14:03):
researching it for a number of. YEARS i appreciate the,
TEAM i appreciate the product and outlet for.

Speaker 2 (02:14:08):
It so thing has outperformed THE s AND p nothing
in twenty. Years that's.

Speaker 24 (02:14:13):
Something.

Speaker 2 (02:14:13):
Now we may think it's, risky and it does have,
risk short term, risk but if you have a longer,
horizon the longer your, horizon the better off you are
in the stock. Market the shorter the horizon is when
you want to start thinking of.

Speaker 24 (02:14:28):
Alternatives right times the big mitigator for risk and.

Speaker 9 (02:14:31):
Volatility, yeah so obviously as you get closer to, retirement
you want to start reducing, risk trying to increase or solidify,
income and you've become you, know that's, logical, Right.

Speaker 2 (02:14:44):
But here's the deal right, now the message and not
that we're trying to sell. Anything we're, not but exchange traded.
FUNDS i always it's just it's marvelous because it's a
group of fun by WHAT i call genius investors who
know way more than we, do who go in and

(02:15:05):
make that fund grow and its diversification within one. Investment
so you're not buying one, Stock you're buying the coattails
of a genius investor with several. Options and these ETFs
correct me If i'm. Wrong you can buy a TECH,
etf you can buy an AUTOMOTIVE, etf or you can

(02:15:26):
buy a whatever TEXTILE. Etf do they have mixed? ETFs, Yes,
okay here's another crazy. Thing do they have AN etf
made up of? ETFs?

Speaker 24 (02:15:35):
Yeah fund of. Funds no.

Speaker 4 (02:15:37):
Fooling so are is this the new? Trend?

Speaker 24 (02:15:42):
Oh it's been going, on, well not in brand, right,
Right it's been going on for a, while BUT i
mean it's growing in popularity very.

Speaker 2 (02:15:48):
Much, so especially as volatility, grows because it spreads out
your risk.

Speaker 24 (02:15:53):
Well and to your, point if you can show that
performance is there for just buying essentially indexes or is
within the market and it's outperforming individual, investing then you're
going to do. That and that's a tendency for folks
who don't really want to get into the weeds on
the fundamentals and do the research so you just buy the.

Speaker 2 (02:16:13):
Index research is everything like vasera turnkey where they're doing the.
Rentals the thing that sets them apart is the. Research
they do the research in the markets where to. Buy
we do research and we don't make any. Apologies we
don't do quick day trading or bull crap meme, investing
we just. Don't but we do the research which is,

(02:16:34):
proprietary and then we have artificial. Intelligence if you want
