Ripped, so you don't have.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Come running.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Just as as we can.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Shooter's gonna help come man Dix.

Speaker 4 (00:19):
He is the Troubleshooter show. No Tom Martinez.

Speaker 5 (00:23):
Hey, hey, hey, this is Tom at the mother Ship
along with Major Mark Major and Lovely Sues, my executive producer.
And so now Marky can't make any wise wise remarks.
So I'm right here in person. Neither can Shan and
they always make fun of me. But now that I'm here,
I'm not at the studio Casa.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
There's not as much to make fun of anymore.

Speaker 5 (00:46):
Oh good, thank you. In other words, I'm getting younger
and more handsome.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (00:52):
Jeff fixed with us Kimera transmission. But he does more
than that. He's just a car expert.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
We use him a lot.

Speaker 5 (00:58):
He's also a hunting expert. Of you guys have any
questions on upcoming seasons. I always get the wild game
from him.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
And I just absolutely love it. I know there are
a lot of people say, oh, every hunting, don't tell
about hunting anyway. I I love hunting.

Speaker 5 (01:16):
When they eat the you know, they go out and
get the game and eat the food, and it's wonderful.
Jeff to even buy food, and do you buy meat? Seriously,
you have so much of it. Do you ever buy meat?

Speaker 6 (01:27):
I generally have a half a beef inside the freezer.

Speaker 3 (01:29):
That you buy. Okay, but the game last year, though,
I doubt you hunt cow? Right cow? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:36):
I remember I used to live in Catskell in New York.
You know, I grew up there, and we would always
I swear, no, no, this is the true I mean,
this is a true story. Some guy from Brooklyn. You'd
see with a cow strapped to his hood or to
the top of his car, thinking he got something at
the State Police had the funniest stories. These guys would
literally go out hunting and and there'd be a lone

(01:59):
cow in the pasture.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Bam.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
And not only did they do it, but then they
put it on their car thinking they had a trophy.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
I wonder if they were wondering where the antlers were.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
That's not much fair chase.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Anyway. Bob Perry's with us Jeff R. Cars.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
He does well. He does a little bit of everything.
He knows cars and he's a leasing expert. We've been
talking a lot because I was thinking in all my
next car instead of putting out all that capital, I
only drive ten thousand miles a year.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
So to me, I'm an ideal candidate, you know.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
So it's a preservation of capital with a lease, and
it's also a guaranteed buyout.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
And to me, I don't see a downside.

Speaker 5 (02:40):
When you can live by the terms and conditions. The
people who get in trouble are the ones who can't
live by the terms and conditions or they early terminate
blah blah blah. By the way, you can call us
on anything. Today is car Day, but you can call
about anything you want. And ours, of course two three

Speaker 5 (03:34):
Martino three oh three six two seven eight four sixty six.
Last few days we had phone problems on and off,
but I think we pretty much have him tackled.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
So, Mark, what's on your mind today? If you had
to pick something.

Speaker 7 (03:48):
I think Walmart's a bargain. I bought a ton of
Walmart stack yesterday. They actually did very well. But to
stack at a little pun yoursh I think I got
a five percent discount, and so far today I think
that was good.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
Very good. And what do you think about the judge?
And again, this is this is a this is a
really good topic. The judge basically threw out the punitive
damages and all that for Trump in Manhattan. The fact,
I think that judge should be hung. That oh, the

(04:21):
one that did it to the original one.

Speaker 7 (04:23):
I think he's the most corrupt son of a bitch
I've ever met.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Yeah, well, here's the deal. I want to say, really
and truly, honest to God, I.

Speaker 7 (04:31):
Hope Trump punched down every one of them when he
throws all their asses in jail.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Here's what bothers me. And this is the true story.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
When you apply for loans in commercial real estate, I
did it for years and years and years. You don't
give people think you give some kind of certified financial statement.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
You don't. You literally make a financial statement.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Have you ever made a financial statement, So you put
motor vehicles down that you own, I had horses. I
put down an airplane. You put everything, you down what
you owe.

Speaker 3 (05:03):
And you know, I'll be honest with you.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
If if I had an airplane worth X, and I
didn't know it was worth X, and I estimated what
it was worth and it was a little high, sometimes
it's a little low. Or Arabian horses, I mean they
want to know everything. They want to know everything. So
in the back in the day, I would put down
my financial statement and list what I owned, what I owe,

(05:27):
and then you would list real estate and they even
they never even did an appraisal unless you were using
the real estate as security.

Speaker 3 (05:33):
You'd put down what you thought it was worth.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
So you know, I'd put down what I thought my
house was worth, and I'd look around the neighborhood and
what they did. And honest to God, that is how
informal financial statements are for commercial loans. Why because the
banks look mainly at the collateralization the commercial property in
and of itself, because you're taking a loan on the

(05:57):
commercial property, and they take a lean on the commercial property.

Speaker 3 (06:01):
By the way, this is educational. This is not political.
This is the truth. Truth.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
But what they did in Manhattan with Trump was took
his financial statement.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
And found.

Speaker 5 (06:14):
That he actually they said overestimated some values of property.
And that is and even overestimated the value of some
of his assets.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
They called that.

Speaker 7 (06:29):
They said Mara Lago was worth eighteen million. There's homes
less than a quarter mile from here that are worth
eighteen million. Are they insane that judge said eighteen million?

Speaker 3 (06:41):
But the point thread a five hundred million at a minimum.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
But the point of mark, the point I'm making is
is that it was an estimate based on their knowledge.
And it's not a certified financial you're not swearing to it,
you're not. You're just swearing that to the best of
your knowledge. This is the truth. And they call that
a crime. It truly was unfair. Honest to God, it

(07:04):
was unfair. No one could believe it, anyone who has
gone through the commercial real estate market. And here's the
other thing, mark on commercial real estate. The banks didn't care.
They didn't care. The banks never said, by the way,
he defaulted on a loan, because he never did, and
because he defaulted, he put down false information.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Never ever, ever did he default.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
But not only that, the banks themselves, Mark did not
object to the financial state.

Speaker 7 (07:32):
They wanted more money. In fact, they wanted to lend
him more money legitimately.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
So I believe justice prevailed in this case. It's not
over yet. The whole thing's going to be tossed.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
Okay, all right now talking about real estate and cars
and assets. It's a funny conversation, but everyone should know.
Net worth is figured on what you own minus or
what you owe minus what you own, or whatever whatever.
Positive or native people I would hope have a positive

(08:03):
net worth.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
It's called a net worth.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
So it is all of your assets minus what you owe,
and whatever is to the positive is your net worth.
Net Worth, unfortunately, in this world, has become the barometer
of what you do in business and who does business
with you. In fact, they don't tell you this, but

(08:26):
I know this being being a financial advisor representative for
my company.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Which is a regular registered advisor.

Speaker 5 (08:35):
What you don't realize is that there are some that
don't even look at you unless you have a certain
net worth. Now I'm not saying that's the way things
should be, but net worth has become a barometer for
all things financial.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
They're trying to change that a bit. The new loan.

Speaker 5 (08:52):
Regulations that have come out. They're allowing non qualified excuse me,
non documented loans again, like just on a bank statement
or just simply on the collateralization only, or or they're
they're called non qualifying loans, so they allow seniors or

(09:13):
people who have gig income but they don't have the
conventional W two's and everything to show.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
They can still get loans. And I think that's a
good thing.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
I think lending should be done on what you're borrowing against.
I really do, because if something is properly collateralized, the
bank can take it. I know they don't want to,
but they can. I don't know what you think, but
that's what I think. Three O three seven one three
talk seven one three A two five to five.

Speaker 3 (09:44):
All right.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
I'm getting a few texts and already about cars. And
oddly enough, this is something we talked about in the past.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Leasing. A guy wants to know if he can lease
a use car.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
I say oddly enough because I was I was looking
at some slightly used cars that I loved, and I thought, hey,
can you lease a used car? But is it worth it?
Or is it stupid to do that. So we'll talk
about that for this Texter.

Speaker 3 (10:06):
John, and then we have more.

Speaker 5 (10:08):

three oh three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. Hi

(11:14):
Tom Martino, you're a Troubleshooter three oh three seven one
three talk seven one three two five five. Yesterday we
were talking about cleaning the overflow in a sink or tub.
The overflow is that little notch hole you see on
the upper part of the sink, and presumably if you fill.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
It up too much, it goes through there and drains.

Speaker 5 (11:33):
And it does, but they get clogged, and I thought,
how the hell do you clean them? You can't very
oly get a funnel plut draino down there. I mean,
so how do you clean them? Because they're not necessarily
a direct path. Well they are a direct path, but
they're not necessarily a tube or something. That's but anyway,
there is actually a kit called overflow cleaning brushes, different shapes.

(11:57):
One has a snake on it with a brush on
the end and you put it through there and you
just kind of manipulate it and then you can clean
those overflows.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
What were you smirking at, Jeff?

Speaker 6 (12:08):
Well, I've always just poured a little bit of bacon
soda in there and then added some vinegar and it
cleans it eye.

Speaker 3 (12:12):
Out and the actual drain overflow.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
Yeah, just put some bass kerneld to do that. Yeah, yeah,
and then you're just pouring some vinegar.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
It phones up, so you you actually mix vinegar and
baking soda.

Speaker 3 (12:24):
Yeah. I used to do that as a kid for rockets. Yeah,
it works.

Speaker 6 (12:27):
Great for cleaning small drains and whatnot.

Speaker 5 (12:29):
You put a cork on that rocket and you shake
it up and put it down and dam So anyway,
three oh three seven one three A two five five? Okay,
leasing a used car, Bob Perry is with us leasing
a used car. Now, when you get a new car,
they basically say, this is how much of the car
you're using, and this is what you'll be charged for.

(12:49):
And when you're done, if you honor the contract and
use the car how and how much you said you would,
we will guarantee a buy back or you can buy it.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Right. Did I summarize period?

Speaker 8 (13:00):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (13:00):
Absolutely.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
But with a used car, a big chunk of that
depreciation already went away.

Speaker 3 (13:06):
Is that good or bad?

Speaker 5 (13:08):
That's good because now you're leasing for less depreciation.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
Correct? Really and so I just never thought of it,
but it you do. You have people that.

Speaker 5 (13:19):
Do use cars, and how how used can a car
be to lease?

Speaker 9 (13:24):
So you can go seven model years old and still lease.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (13:29):
But obviously if it's too many miles and all that,
the company won't do it right well.

Speaker 9 (13:35):
It affects the residual value, the future value. The more
miles it has going in, you will have less value
coming out. So same principles, but you find a.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Good combination, it could be a hell of a deal.

Speaker 9 (13:46):
If a car depreciates a lot in those first couple
of years, it makes a great lease if they hold
their value.

Speaker 3 (13:52):
Use your bed off in a new car.

Speaker 5 (13:53):
Right, I see what you're saying, because if you're gonna
go use and you're still paying near new, that's the
same way it is with everything when it comes to use.
I've said this before. People the best new car values
the best because they appreciate very little. Are the worst
used car values, and the cars that depreciate a great deal.

(14:15):
You can pick up for the same dollar amount a
much newer and better car than like a Toyota. Now
I love Toyotas, but if you take a little Toyota
land Cruise that hardly depreciates and buy a three years
old you can buy a much much, much better, newer
and lower mileage Tahoe or something not being and I'm

(14:35):
not saying they're better cars. I'm saying they're better used
car values. By the way, Bob on the phone, not
Bob here in the studio, has an issue with Camping World.
I guess Chopper was working on this, but Chopper's not
on the phone. Let's just revisit this and see where
it's at. So tell me what is happening with your
uh go ahead.

Speaker 10 (14:56):
So, yeah, Tom, I picked it up yesterday after four
months in a week, and they had installed a new
kitchen faucet. Now, when I got it back, I had
it towed back down to Trinidad, which is one hundred
and nine miles away, And when I went to use
the flusset, they never mounted it to the countertop.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
You checked me, Yeah, you could sink.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
Was the sink was just sitting in there?

Speaker 10 (15:23):
Oh no, no, no. The faucet they had it because
they said it FROs so they had to replace the faucet.
But now when I went to use it, you could
jiggle it side to side about a good two inches
either way. So they probably just hooked up the waterlines
and never bolted it down to the county.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
So what did you do?

Speaker 10 (15:43):
So my no, my question is since I had it
towed down here I'm not paying to have it towed
up and back unless they send somebody down to fix it.
Can I stop payment on the credit card?

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Well, of course you can stop payment.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
You did get a new faucet though, right, Oh yeah,
So tell me what it would take. What does it
take to correct the problem?

Speaker 10 (16:06):
Like, all right, wait to broll underneath? But why I
pay three thousand dollars I have it all repaired. I'm
not gonna wait.

Speaker 5 (16:12):
A minute, Wait a minute, what was the three thing?
You didn't pay three?

Speaker 10 (16:16):
Well, no, I had a ward, I had a word.

Speaker 7 (16:20):
Yeah, you can cancel the credit card and you'll get
a provisional credit. Then it'll be switched back and you'll
get charged for it.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Yeah, because he'll probably listen, how much will it cost
you right now, time and trouble to fix it? Because truly,
to reverse all of the work they did because they
didn't connect the sink.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
I know you're pissed off.

Speaker 5 (16:42):
Right, but really and truly, what will it take to
get someone to secure that truth?

Speaker 10 (16:47):
I'll probably call a plumber, but I'm out in the
boom knocks from time about twenty miles nor to the Trinidad,
probably the nearest city to get a plumber out here.

Speaker 3 (16:57):
Well, what again, I'm going to ask what will it take?

Speaker 10 (17:03):
That's why I'm calling you.

Speaker 5 (17:04):
Well, here's what I'm saying. I think it's unreasonable if
you're asking my opinion. I think it would be unreasonable
for you to stop payment. Okay, I think it's overkilled
because you're stopping payment on three thousand dollars and they
forgot to clip the sync to the counter. Now listen,
I'm not making light of it. I'm not saying you
shouldn't be pissed off, But sir, just get it, Just

(17:27):
get it tightened up, and then let them know.

Speaker 10 (17:30):
Is it wrong for me to ask for them to
come down here to do it?

Speaker 3 (17:34):
No, I don't how far away? Who is still?

Speaker 2 (17:38):
All right?

Speaker 3 (17:39):
I gotta go to Shamanski. You're right, yeah, I'm one
hundred nine.

Speaker 10 (17:42):
I'm one hundred and nine miles from mountain.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
No, I think you can find a plumber to do it,
or a handyman to do it. I think it's unreasonable
to ask them to come down to do it. Yes,
my answer is yes. Do I think in a perfect
world they should do it?

Speaker 3 (17:58):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (17:58):
They should, But Bob, listen and bro just get it fixed.
I mean, I know you're pistol off. Okay, then and
then then it's not unreasonable for you to ask them
to pay for that. If you have a plumber come
and do it and it's one hundred and fifty bucks,
have them pay for it.

Speaker 3 (18:14):
I believe it.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Mark Schumanski, I did have a question for you, Mark.
Someone wants to know about They said, when they had
their house stuccoed, this is genesis Total Exteriors are expert.
They said, when they had their house stucco, the paint
was kind of built in. I don't know what they mean,
but I think they meant mixed in. So if they
want to change the color, do they have to go

(18:35):
with new stucco caught topcoat or can you paint? Like like,
what's the story on changing the color of your stucco?

Speaker 11 (18:43):
Okay, yes, you can paint the outside of your stucco.
You need to make sure you use the right product
and you also that you use the right primer. The
primer is the most Just like you're speaking earlier, the
prep is so important. To use a proper primer on
top of the stucco, and then you can paint and
color you want. There's also a product called fogging that
you can fog over your existing color to change it.

(19:05):
And it's actually some sementitious product that gets sprayed on
the side of you. Oh wow, I would have changed
the color.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
So it's almost like a mini top coat.

Speaker 11 (19:13):
It is, and it's not very common here. It's very
common in California.

Speaker 5 (19:18):
Very would you have any would you have any qualms
about using it here?

Speaker 3 (19:21):
Mark?

Speaker 11 (19:23):
No, no, no, all we've We've done it several times. It's
just not very popular here.

Speaker 5 (19:26):
That's all, okay, So you can The short answer is
you can paint over.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
You don't have to, So you don't have to.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
They were afraid they may have to do like another
coat of stucco in order to change the color.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
And there's no reason to go that. That's correct, all right, Mark,
Thank you very much.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
Mark Schumansky Genesis tootalexteriors dot com again and he's uh,
he's always available to answer your questions. And they do
really everything, okay. And in an area where you know, ah,
God contracting these contractors or clowns, a lot of them.

Speaker 3 (20:03):
JR. Has a did he hang up?

Speaker 2 (20:05):
JR?

Speaker 5 (20:05):
No, there he is, JR. You have a comment on
the Camping World issue.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
What is it?

Speaker 12 (20:10):
Yeah, Tom, I mean what they ought to do because
it's a weather old company. There's four clips to that sink,
that's all. Because it's a small thing. They ought to
either come down take care of it, or call a
company down there and pay them. That's some place close
to them.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Yeah, and I have them.

Speaker 12 (20:26):
Marked it by the situation because they didn't do the
job that they were supposed to do and it's only
four clips. I'm sure it's a pain in the butt
for him, you know.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
I know he must have pissed off. He's pissed off because.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
It was there for so long and and then we
finally got got them to shake it up and get
it done. But I have to tell you something. I'm
really not a fan of Camping World. Do you guys
go to Camping World marketss because it's a popular store
for picking up retail items. They have everything for camping,
even if you're a camp ten ten camping or a

(20:59):
motor home. They're terrible, and it was supposed to be
improved when that profit took it over. Lemoyne it was
his name, Lemoyne, LeMoyne's Lemoyne whatever it is. He was
supposed to improve it and it turned We're no fans

(21:58):
as is vehicles, as is vehicles. This was a law
that somebody actually just used, he said in Small Claim Score,
and was able to get a refund because as is
means something, but it also doesn't mean a lot of

(22:18):
things that people think it means. We'll go over that
in a second. I want to take calls though, as
they come in. Tino has an issue with Low's. Hey Tino,
what's going on with you?

Speaker 3 (22:29):
Hey?

Speaker 13 (22:29):
How's it going on? So I'll try to spare some
of the long winded details. But back in on May second,
I purchased cabinets from Low's. Total arm four hundred and
twenty five dollars.

Speaker 3 (22:42):
Ten thousand dollars worth of cabinet is okay.

Speaker 13 (22:45):
Yeah, So during that whole process, I actually had Lows.
So even before that last July fourth, I had a
flood in my house, and then much of the whole
insurance process it was long. And then I had them
come out and do the measurements themselves, just to make
sure like there were any issues because they were going
to be manufacturing them, just to tie up all the
loose ends.

Speaker 3 (23:05):
Well, okay, got it.

Speaker 5 (23:06):
And so Low's had one of their contractors come out
or was it an Low's employee?

Speaker 13 (23:11):
Do you know that I was a practor I believe.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Okay, So, and they came out and measured and did
they template?

Speaker 13 (23:20):
Yes, they did everything.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
Okay. So what happened?

Speaker 13 (23:24):
So on June seventeenth, the cabinets were delivered and then
because I had my I explained to them I had
my own contractor for the insurance that was doing all
of the repairs in my house, which they were fine with.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
What kind of an insurance claim did you have?

Speaker 13 (23:38):
It was so the inlet on my fridge actually burst
and then it just we were out of town and
then it flooded the entire kitchen and the cabinets were destroyed.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Okay, got it, So keep going. What's going on?

Speaker 13 (23:50):
So they came in and then when he did his
initial like examination of the cabinets, they were all destroyed,
like the doors on it. They were there, roget things, marks,
you name it.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
Well wait wait wait wait, the old the old ones
were all destroyed.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
That's why you got new ones. You're not talking about
the new ones.

Speaker 13 (24:08):
Oh I'm talking about the brand new ones.

Speaker 5 (24:10):
I can't Oh wait wait wait okay, I'm sorry. I
got confused. The old ones you were having replaced just
because you wanted and replaced.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
It wasn't an insurance job.

Speaker 13 (24:20):
So I apologize. So the initially I went through the
whole insurance and then my cabinets that were in my
house were destroyed and then they gave me.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
Fun Okay, so then I get it.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
So you replaced, you were replacing your kitchen cabinets and
the new cabinets got destroyed.

Speaker 13 (24:38):
Yeah, So when they came in, they were all they
were brand new cabinets.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
They were all damaged. Got it?

Speaker 5 (24:42):
Got it because you were away and and something leaked.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Got it.

Speaker 13 (24:47):
So the ones I ordered through Lows that were manufactured
by I can't say the name of the manufacturer in Shennandoah.

Speaker 5 (24:54):
It doesn't matter Shenandoah. But but what happened is they
were destroyed by a water leak.

Speaker 13 (25:02):
Oh no, So the ones my cabinets that I had
originals that were destroyed by the water leaks were replaced,
were taken out by my contractor, and then I ordered
the brand new cabinets from Shannanda.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
I understand.

Speaker 5 (25:17):
So the brand new cabinets were not destroyed, came.

Speaker 13 (25:21):
In on June seventeenth to be installed on June.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
Were they destroyed too?

Speaker 13 (25:28):
No, they were actually okay, they came in damaged brand new.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
They came in damaged from Okay, Okay, okay, I'm sorry, Okay.
The original cabinets were replaced under an insurance claim.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
The new cabinists came in damaged. Got it?

Speaker 13 (25:41):
Yes, exactly. So my contractor was where were.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
They damaged by the delivery that I I don't know.

Speaker 13 (25:52):
I would have to say yes.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
And how bad and how bad were like like if
you looked at him, is it like unacceptable.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
I mean they're damaged all over.

Speaker 13 (26:03):
To the point where I had the rep from Shenandoah
come out and they replaced every single door that came
into the delivery.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Okay, so the doors were replaced. They were yes, okay,
so keep going.

Speaker 13 (26:17):
So that was on June twenty third, and then he
stopped after doing like the initial examination. So they sent
me the doors and then he came back on July fifteenth,
my contractor to install the cabinets. And when he did this,
where the stove is from wall to wall, he put

(26:38):
everything in, he clamped it together, and then he found
out like it was. Then he discovered that the gap
for the stove was twenty nine and a half inches
as opposed to the thirty.

Speaker 5 (26:47):
Okay, so there was a half inch gap, Like the
hole was bigger than the cabinet.

Speaker 13 (26:55):
Yeah, so the whole the hole was too small.

Speaker 3 (26:58):
Oh, too small, there was and there was no way to.

Speaker 13 (27:01):
Make it work, no way to make it work because
there were any spacers on the cabinet side for them
to shave or anything like that. They were just.

Speaker 5 (27:09):
Okay, So what did and they did the measuring, so
they're responsible.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
So what did they say? They would do about it.

Speaker 13 (27:15):
So I when this first happened, I reached out and
that's and.

Speaker 3 (27:20):
It was just the base cabinet we're talking about, right.

Speaker 5 (27:23):
The lower cabinets, not all of them, just one of them.

Speaker 10 (27:29):
Four cabinets.

Speaker 13 (27:30):
So there was the lazy Susan of twenty one.

Speaker 5 (27:33):
You know, I understand you said one of them did
not fit. It was a half inch off, didn't you
say that?

Speaker 3 (27:40):
Man?

Speaker 10 (27:40):
One?

Speaker 13 (27:41):
No, I mean one of them. So, I mean it's
the whole layout from wall to wall of a kitchen.
So the four cabinets were installed and then well they
were placed and then they were clamped together. And when
they were installed, it left them a space in the
middle for the stove and that space.

Speaker 5 (27:57):
I get one, I get it. So but technically, okay,
never mind, just keep going. They weren't all mismeasured, but
they didn't go together because one of them was mismeasured. Probably, yeah, okay,
so keep going, man, just keep going.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
I'm destroying your story. Go ahead.

Speaker 13 (28:14):
I'm sorry about that. So initially, when the first happened
with the damage cabinets, I reached out to the Lowe's
executive team. You know, they're seeing all let them know
what happened to talk them to the whole process. They
put me in contact with the store and then eventually
which led to the Shenandoah rep coming out to my
house to visualize and inspect the cabinets themselves. So after

(28:38):
July fifteenth, I'm sorry, yeah, July fifteenth, Yeah, by contractor
let me know. I was like, hey, I've been here
a few times now, like I have a certain amount
of funds that are allocated to Like we agree on
a firm, right.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Right, right, it's not his fault, that's right, So keep going.

Speaker 13 (28:52):
So he's going to charge me more. And then I'm
explaining this to the rep at Lows. I'm like, hey, like,
my contractor is going to charged me more for something that.

Speaker 5 (29:02):
I because of this because he made several attempts and visits, right,
So then.

Speaker 13 (29:06):
What so Low's it was. It was a lot of
back and forth where I had to explain to him.
I'm like, hey, like, what is Low's going to do
for me? And eventually end we ended up leading to
fifty percent off the cabinets, which I found is whoa.

Speaker 5 (29:19):
Wait wait wait they were going to give you the
cabinets for half price?

Speaker 13 (29:23):
Yes, they were going to reimbursing for fifty percent.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
But wait, wait, wait, but and and also correct that one. Yes, wow,
that's a good deal, right it is.

Speaker 13 (29:33):
So then at that point I expressed to him, I'm like, hey, like,
I don't want to give my contractor any additional funds.
And meanwhile, when the installation started, the contractor thought he
was going to be able to get the job done.
He took out the temporary sink, he took out my microwave,
and he disconnected my dishwasher. Okay, No, I have a
functional kitchen.

Speaker 5 (29:53):
As a And by the way, was Low's going to
give you this for shannondoah the credit.

Speaker 13 (29:58):
We was initially was going to give need the credit.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
Okay.

Speaker 13 (30:01):
So that was back on June twenty third. So it's
going on two months now without a functional kitchen, and
I have a seven year old and a five year
old at my house as long as and my fiance
she's pregnant right now, so to say, it's been very.

Speaker 5 (30:13):
No okay, So so where does this stand today? I
don't blame you being frustrated. The whole thing is a nightmare.
Where does this stand today?

Speaker 13 (30:20):
So it stands today where I have to give you
a little more detail.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
All right, Yeah, you can't do it right now. You
gotta do it right after this.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
I'm sure you can tell me where it stands and
then give me the detail where.

Speaker 13 (30:31):
I loads took all the money back they were supposed
to refound me for the whole purchase. I went into Low's.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Whoa hold on, That's wonderful.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
Just hang on, go with a sure thing Denver's Best

frustrating bus and cabin is from Low's ten thousand dollars worth.

Speaker 3 (31:20):
They were delivered, they were damaged.

Speaker 5 (31:22):
The doors were replaced. There were some mismeasurements that couldn't
fit right. So then the guys that I'll give you
a fifty percent discount, but there were delays the contractors
that I'm gonna have to charge more, and so at
this point they threw up their hands for some reason
and said, we're going to give you a complete refund. Tino,

(31:42):
Is that because you said, hey, I'm done with you
or did they just say let's just call it quits.

Speaker 3 (31:47):
Who gave in first?

Speaker 13 (31:50):
So it wasn't even it truly wasn't that that we
were running out of time. They so the way that
I took the conversation with the store manager was there
reimbursing me for the whole thing for the inconvenience.

Speaker 5 (32:00):
Wait wait, so but they said fifty percent. At what
point did it go from a half off to now
you're going to get every dime back.

Speaker 13 (32:09):
So I originally reached out to Lowe's executive team and
then halfway through, I'm like, oh, Shenandoah is involved. Let
me reach out to their CEO. And the same day
that I reached out to their CEO, I got a
call from the Shnandoah Rep. I got a call from
the local the local store and killed Connecticut, and then
from the executive team and Low's. I talked to the
manager at Low's because the cabinets they were.

Speaker 5 (32:30):
Did he say, we are going instead of half off,
We're going to give you the whole thing free. He did, Okay,
So where does this stand today?

Speaker 13 (32:40):
So I went to Low's this past weekend and I
was talking to them. I went over the whole their
new layout, everything like that this past Sunday, and then
they gave me an installation quote for thirty seven hundred dollars.
I told them, I'm like, I already have my contractor.
I expressed to them, I'm like, listen, like I I
told the the rep that I was talking to, like,

(33:01):
I'm not paying anything else for something that I wasn't
a result of which I made it abundantly clear. And
Crystal Clayer like, hey, like I had a certain amount
set for.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
Yeah, yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
What they're doing is they put when they said they're
gonna give you everything free, basically that that's probably their
cost on the cabinets.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Because you say they.

Speaker 5 (33:19):
Were ten grands, so they're saying they want thirty seven
hundred from you for installation, but good news, you get
the cabinets free. They're basically breaking even that's what I think.

Speaker 13 (33:29):
So he's the but here's the kicker for all of it.
So I was talking to the guy leaning yesterday and
he goes, no, they reimbursed you for the cabinets to
start the whole process over, which doesn't make any sense
to me because they had my measurements. They already did
everything before and now.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
But I mean, they knew you had an installer to
begin with, so why would they even offer to install it?

Speaker 13 (33:49):
Because I told I proposed that as a solution for
them to do the installation free of charge as well
before the.

Speaker 5 (33:54):
Okay, so are okay, so right now will you get
the cabin and it's free and can you have okay? So,
so they took back the free offer when you decided
not to pay for installation, because that's how they were
going to pay for the cabinets. They you know, it's
amazing to me. They were saying it's free, but it
wasn't free. So right now, right now, if you want

(34:16):
your guy here, all I just need to know, like,
just let's get to the facts now, no more stories.
If you want to keep them and have your guy
install them, you'll pay for half.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
You'll pay half price is that right?

Speaker 13 (34:27):
No, they told me that on a recorded line, and
I went to Low's yesterday. They said I have to
repurchase the whole thing. But now it went from the
ten thousand what was four five and now it's eleven
thousand sixs.

Speaker 5 (34:40):
But what happened to the fifty percent discount?

Speaker 13 (34:43):
I for for it once I returned. Once they came
and picked up my.

Speaker 3 (34:46):
Cabin Oh, you return the cabinets.

Speaker 13 (34:49):
I didn't, so I did.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Really, Yeah, you did?

Speaker 3 (34:51):
There returned. I don't need to know the in between.
The cabinets have been returned, is that right?

Speaker 10 (34:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 13 (34:58):
Because they were going to show.

Speaker 5 (34:59):
Right now zero you're done with them. You're done with them,
and you're claiming. Probably they cost you money.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Hold on.

Speaker 5 (35:10):
Go with a sure thing Denver's Best roofer Excel Roofing

Speaker 4 (35:57):
Come is the Troubleshooter Show. No Tom Martino, Hey Tom Martino.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Here, Welcome to the show. Jeff Thickets with me.

Speaker 5 (36:08):
From Kimmera Transmission and Bob Perry from JFR Cars.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
We're talking.

Speaker 5 (36:13):
We're talking about you know, cars, and we're talking about
other things. Tino has a problem. It's supposed to want
to pull my teeth out, babe. I'm just gonna sum
it up this way. Basically, he bought cabinets, had a
terrible experience, he returned him.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
Okay, I mean that's really it.

Speaker 5 (36:32):
Now what I need to know is really quickly, Tino,
did you get a full refund after returning him?

Speaker 13 (36:41):
I so the refund was issued before I returned them,
with the assumption that they were going to give me
a replacements right.

Speaker 5 (36:48):
Now, right now, today, right now today, Are you being
charged for those cabinets or is it a clean slate today?

Speaker 13 (36:57):
At a clean slate today?

Speaker 5 (36:59):
Okay, Now you are pissed off and want damages?

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Is that correct or not?

Speaker 13 (37:04):
They told me that they were going to do it
for free, and then now I have to repurchase them
out of a higher amount than I originally paid for.

Speaker 5 (37:12):
And if you purchase them for one thousand dollars more,
they will do the installation free.

Speaker 13 (37:17):
Well, I have to pay the thirty seven hundred for
the installation as well.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
On to Well, you're getting nothing free then, so why
don't you just go somewhere else? I mean, why why
would you? I would not do? You got your money back,
just move on?

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Why not? Why not just go somewhere else?

Speaker 13 (37:36):
Well, because I was promised fifty percent off, and then
I was promise them for free.

Speaker 3 (37:41):
So then you don't have it in writing, they're going
to deny it.

Speaker 13 (37:44):
I have it on a recorded line.

Speaker 5 (37:45):
Then sue them for it. Sue them for a teino.
I mean, I don't know what else to tell you, man, sue.

Speaker 13 (37:49):
Them, all right, So that's what I was calling.

Speaker 5 (37:52):
If you have if you have a ten grand purchase
and they were going to give you fifty percent off,
that's five grand. They did not say they would have
stall them. Would you be satisfied then to get them
for five grand?

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (38:04):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (38:05):
Then what I would do is I would go to
small claims court and I would sue them, not just
for the five grand.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
If you ever recorded.

Speaker 5 (38:15):
Line saying you get fifty percent off and there were
no conditions put on it. They didn't say fifty percent off,
but you must have us install them.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
They didn't say anything like that, right, No, nothing like that. Good.

Speaker 5 (38:28):
Then what I would do is I would sue them
for fifty percent of that ten grand plus the additional
money that you had to spend. How much more is
your installer charging you?

Speaker 13 (38:41):
He didn't give me a price because I told him.

Speaker 3 (38:43):
That you got to get a price. You got to
get a price. But you can't exaggerate it.

Speaker 5 (38:47):
You're limiting small claims is seventy five hundred, Try to
make it seventy five hundred or less, and then I
truly think you're going to win. I don't know how
these jerks can can win. I don't know how they
can either that you go elsewhere and you still go
after them for uh, for the increased costs.

Speaker 3 (39:06):
But I don't believe. I don't.

Speaker 5 (39:08):
I mean, if you ever recorded line, can we hear
that recorded line?

Speaker 13 (39:13):
So it's recorded on their side, So when they call
him from the executive team.

Speaker 5 (39:17):
You're not going to get a hold of them. Mark,
he's gonna Mark Lowe's said you can have fifty percent off,
and now they're going back on it. So he said
it was on a recorded line, but he doesn't have
a copy of it. Will they can he get it
from a small claims court?

Speaker 3 (39:32):
No?

Speaker 13 (39:33):
No, so small claim court?

Speaker 3 (39:36):
You can't? Why Mark, he can't subpoena? Then? I don't
think so. No, I don't think so.

Speaker 5 (39:43):
Yes, small claims court is a very limited venue.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
So once you kick it up, who would you subpoena?

Speaker 5 (39:51):
He wants a subpoena the tape? Well, I mean, what
would you put on the subpoena? I'm asking you can
walk up to the storeman and.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
Would they voluntarily give you the tape? No way, I haven't.

Speaker 13 (40:04):
I haven't asked. No, I doubt they would.

Speaker 7 (40:06):
It's probably gone anyhow, How well do you think they
save a customer service call?

Speaker 13 (40:14):
So it's I did something similar in my past life
or work, and then we had them on file for
six months.

Speaker 3 (40:21):
Okay, I just I would have no idea who he
would subpedia.

Speaker 7 (40:24):
I know it reminds me of Drew when he wants
us to call up someone.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
That works at lows. That's a heavy set my noise. Woman.

Speaker 5 (40:33):
Here's what you do, man, you take your shot. You know,
I personally don't think you're going to win it.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
I just don't.

Speaker 5 (40:40):
I think it was very unfortunate what happened to you.
I would move on, I mean.

Speaker 7 (40:44):
But I'd still take them. Don't get me wrong, I'd
still take That's what small claims core. But I wouldn't
worry about some recording. I think they're going to settle.
How much are we talking?

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (40:55):
Is the ten thousand dollars cabinets he wants them for five?
They offered a fifty percent discount. Now are they actually
werenegging on it or are they saying you can pay
fifty percent of eleven thousand.

Speaker 13 (41:05):
They told me that because I returned it was as
is for the cabinets I had in my house, but
that was never discussed or disclosed to me. It's a
fifty percent off on my purchase, but that was at
the time before it was fully refunded.

Speaker 3 (41:17):
Yeah, this is too hard. Uh.

Speaker 5 (41:19):
Now you're getting into contractual issues and it's verbal. I Tino,
I hate to tell you this, man, You're not gonna win.
I you're really not. I mean, I don't see where
you're gonna win. But as Mark said, if you assue him,
they're probably going to settle with you.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
But I don't know.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
You know Mark, he's saying his installer's going to cost
him more money because of all the scrubs, and also
they promised him fifty percent off.

Speaker 3 (41:41):
He'll get his day in court.

Speaker 7 (41:43):
Yeah, I mean you lost you fifty five bucks man
to try it.

Speaker 13 (41:47):
Yeah, I'm gonna do. I sent him with a former
demand letter today, demand letter for what just outligning everything
that happened, and then I asked.

Speaker 7 (41:56):
That on the trash can. You got to serve them. Man,
they're not gonna what are they going to do with
a demand letter for me?

Speaker 3 (42:01):
Honestly?

Speaker 5 (42:02):
Are you asking for the cabinets at fifty five grand?

Speaker 13 (42:06):
I asked for what was told to me that was
for free, and then for everything else that that I
brought up. But I'll serve them too. That's efinod.

Speaker 5 (42:12):
So wait a minute, So you're not satisfied with fifty
percent off, now you want him free.

Speaker 13 (42:17):
It's that's what was originally disclosed to me. That's where
I'm started. That's my I figured that's my starting point because.

Speaker 5 (42:22):
You know, let me know how it goes, though, seriously, okay,
let me know it goes. Now, he's saying they after
they offered him fifty percent, they said he could have
him for free, but he had to pay for installation,
and he didn't want to pay for installation, which was
thirty seven fifty. So, Tino, this this is so complicated.
I truly I didn't ask him what county?

Speaker 7 (42:42):
But probably he'll have to do mediation first, which is
great because.

Speaker 3 (42:47):
Then hopefully they make him an offer. Yeah, what count
What county?

Speaker 5 (42:51):
Though?

Speaker 3 (42:51):
What county? Is this lows? Where's the lows located?

Speaker 13 (42:56):
We are killing the Connecticut?

Speaker 3 (42:58):
Okay, So I think that.

Speaker 5 (43:02):
Your limit might be a little different there as far
as small claims, but it's probably going to be enough
to make your to.

Speaker 3 (43:11):
Probably hire ours is pretty low.

Speaker 5 (43:13):
Yes, seventy five hundred is pretty low. Deputy Bow has
a follow up?

Speaker 3 (43:20):
I believe is he on right now? Let me just
take him Kachina. I can talk to.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
Bo directly if you want to put them on whold things.
Hey Bo, what are you calling about?

Speaker 2 (43:30):
Bro?

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Deputy Bow? What are you calling about?

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Oh? I got two quick updates.

Speaker 3 (43:37):
Tom, All right, good, what's going on? Man?

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Okay? First one is canvas? She called in yesterday.

Speaker 5 (43:44):
Yeah, she hired J and J Construction to replace the
D boxes or the junction boxes in her septic system
where it goes out to the leech field. The guys
that are leechfield is saturated and needs to be replaced
for thirty four grand. She paid the guy sixteenth thousand
dollars up front. He started in April and said it
would take six weeks. Only thirty percent of the job's

(44:07):
been completed. I think she said he stopped working on it,
So what's going on?

Speaker 2 (44:12):
Stopped working on it? And then she had another person
come out and look at it and come to find out, Tom,
she doesn't She doesn't think she even needed one in
the first place, because the old one, the old septic
system seems to be working time. So the update I have.
She's pretty upset about this down payment she made and.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
She has Oh, I don't blame her. She didn't get anything.
She was she got partial work.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
She's scheduled to go into a consult with Neil Hollington
or a construction attorney this afternoon.

Speaker 3 (44:45):
And what about this guy? Did you try calling him.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
Yes, I did, and he did not call me back.
So I guess we'll wait and see what happens with
Neil Hollington. Yeah, she's gonna go ahead with a lawsuit.

Speaker 3 (44:58):
I don't blame her. Neil Haulington.

Speaker 5 (45:00):
And by the way, for those listening, is a construction
defect attorney. I think this J and J construction. I mean,
look at you take money and you don't finish the job.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
I'm so tired of it.

Speaker 2 (45:13):
And yeah, they damaged they damaged their property moving the
equipment in and out. I guess they ruined her fans
in shrubbery.

Speaker 3 (45:22):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
I don't know how people find these people. They they
normally go for the lowest price and then they get
the clowns.

Speaker 3 (45:31):
So anyway, what else do you have a follow up on?

Speaker 2 (45:33):
Next one? This one's pretty simple. Dan called in yesterday
at ten thirty regarding the express toll.

Speaker 5 (45:40):
Yeah, he's what he said was that the sticker on
his windshield he had for years, and they say he
has an undid an unpaid debt for a U Taul rental,
a U haul rental in two thousand and nine.

Speaker 3 (45:55):
I don't I don't understand.

Speaker 5 (45:56):
It was a Toll and it was on a U
Haul truck, and he says he never did it, and
now he talks about seventy bucks with penalties.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
Did you call four seventy?

Speaker 2 (46:08):
I did not. I did get ahold of the U
haul and so U Haul is going to send him
a letter email stating and he wasn't in possession of
the U Haul at the time these tickets were issued
and submit those and Express Express Toll told Dan, if

(46:33):
he can get this letter or email from new Haul
that they'll expunge deep the ticket.

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Okay, that's wonderful.

Speaker 5 (46:44):
That's a good tactic you took by calling you haul directly,
because if he wasn't even driving the truck, he can't
possibly have done it.

Speaker 2 (46:52):
They can't bill a importer. Now. Express told says, if
we can get the email stating at the dale.

Speaker 3 (46:59):
Why did they say?

Speaker 5 (47:00):
What I don't understand is why did they send it
to him to begin with?

Speaker 2 (47:05):
Com I'll tell you I think he did rent a
U Haul. There's a U Haul trailer at maybe several
months ago, but they didn't take his information out of
the computer for some reason at Nuts Tolls, So I
thought that he was still in use of it.

Speaker 3 (47:23):
Okay, well, okay, you haul screwed up?

Speaker 5 (47:27):
All right, both, thank you very much. We got more
coming up. We got the car guys here. We're going

twenty two. Hi Tom Martine, you're a trebleshooter. I got
a text here again for Bob Bob on leasing used cars.

(48:38):
So they want to know how do they get started
and what's the procedure so and how do you figure
the acquisition cost? Does jfr then buy the car and
then lease it to them or does someone else or
do you find a lease in company?

Speaker 3 (48:52):
How does it work?

Speaker 9 (48:53):
So yeah, I wou'd have to go through JFR, and
there's a program that goes through some credit unions that
we would use when need to know the car or
the miles.

Speaker 5 (49:01):
And the credit union then acquires the car.

Speaker 9 (49:04):
So they'll be the end owner eventually. But again it
has to have a clean car fax. They won't lease
a car with a bad car fax, right, And so
then we'd get the cost and then figure out the
residual and structure a lease just like a new car.
How many miles per year are you gonna drive? What's
it cost? And we can structure anywhere from a twenty
four to a sixty month lease.

Speaker 5 (49:27):
Wow, that's incredible. And as far as EV vehicles, I
know that you said leasing companies are afraid of them,
and if you're gonna go EV, you got to go
through the manufacturer.

Speaker 9 (49:40):
Right, And I don't know that they do used ones
at all.

Speaker 5 (49:42):
No, No, not use it at all. I'm talking about
new though correct. Tesla has no qualms doing leases on
their cars, right, And I think that's safe because I
think conventional lessers right now, they don't know how to
lease them.

Speaker 3 (49:55):
They don't know.

Speaker 9 (49:56):
And that's what they have to figure out, is a
future value on a car they have no idea with.

Speaker 5 (50:00):
And if you didn't, So if you're going to lease
an electric vehicle, you need to go through the corresponding
manufacturer because otherwise what you have is the lessors doing it.
Outside of manufacturers, I think they're so afraid of them,
the residual value would be very low, whereas Tesla is

(50:21):
proud of their cars and they give a decent residual value.

Speaker 9 (50:25):
And with the exception of Tesla, we can go through
manufacturers on new cars and help people with that too.

Speaker 3 (50:30):
Okay, doing a lot of that now. As far as
Tesla's leases.

Speaker 5 (50:34):
I've been looking into them. The one thing about Tesla
they limit you on how much you can reduce the
cap and I'm not sure why for those listening with
a lease the down payment you make or the capital reduction,
it is a basically it reduces the amount of the
cost of the car and then therefore you pay less
money per month for the depreciation. But it is literally

(50:59):
going towards the depreciation. Although they call it a cap reduction.
It does come off of the depreciation as far as
your payments go. But why would a company limit the
amount of downpayment that I didn't understand?

Speaker 3 (51:13):
Can you? Is there any idea? Reasons? Yeah?

Speaker 9 (51:16):
One is you can't have a lower captain the residual,
so they have to have some depreciations of able to
structure a lease.

Speaker 8 (51:23):
Right.

Speaker 9 (51:23):
The other is if you put too much down, they
don't make enough and they're not interested.

Speaker 5 (51:27):
So it's not worth it. It's not worth the risk. Yes,
all right? Three or three seven one three A two
five five Jeff Vic. Somebody wants to know what cars
to avoid when it comes to parts. How does one
find that out other than just doing research on the internet.

Speaker 6 (51:45):
No, it's pretty sporadic as to some of the stuff
that is available, or it is it available. I mean,
you know when it comes to us where I mean,
obviously we're specialized. Yeah, so you know we're inside the
transmission average transmission. You know you're five six hundred individual.

Speaker 5 (51:57):
Parts, right so, but but but do you know about
any cars that are just a pain in the ad.

Speaker 6 (52:04):
We're seeing a lot of problem with Maza right now.
I've got one that's been at a customer that's called
me time and time again, want to know if we
can get his car in for service. And it's been
almost a year since the parts have been available for
his transmission. You know, we had another one. They've just
wanted us to buy a transmission, put it in on
national back order with no project projective MASA. There was

(52:28):
another MASA yeah, no projected release date. Had a problem
with Chevy yesterday. Called for a part with them for
the transmission. Correct not available, no projected release date. Had
another one for a Dodge late model Dodge pickup, same problem. Now,
some of these things were able to get the aftermarket.
We don't necessarily have to go through dealers. But parts

(52:50):
are just a problem around the board.

Speaker 5 (52:52):
So I mean it's a crapshoot. I mean, you can't
just say stay away from this car.

Speaker 3 (52:57):
That car. It could be any car that it happens
depending on the park.

Speaker 6 (53:00):
Depending on the park. You don't people who are inside
the used car market, you know, you know, I had
to call on Evolvo yesterday. Haven't seen won an eons.
The parts for that transmission are just flat out and
not available anywhere. He's got a bricksit in his driveway goy.

Speaker 5 (53:15):
What do you do when you have a car that's
fine otherwise but needs one part and you can't get
that part. We've had people with cars under warranty and
even though it's under warranty and the manufacturer will cover it.

Speaker 3 (53:27):
What I don't understand is.

Speaker 5 (53:29):
What what do they do? I mean, it's ridiculous. I mean,
do you assume them Do you say I lost use
to my car? Well, the Lemon Law. If the cars
two years or or younger, you can go to the
Lemon Law. If you lost lose use of it because
the parts just not available. I mean, especially if you
can't drive the damn thing. Three oh three seven one

Hi Tom Martino here three O three seven to one
three talk seven one three A two five five. So,

(55:01):
if you're looking to lease cars, were told that, of
course the ones that depreciate the least are the best
leasing because you're leasing and you're paying for the amount
you use the car, or for the amount it depreciates.

Speaker 3 (55:17):
I did not.

Speaker 5 (55:18):
Realize this, but the lowest five year depreciation published.

Speaker 3 (55:26):
By one of the one of the research companies.

Speaker 5 (55:29):
Called ic cars isee cars dot com. And I almost
find this hard to believe that the Porsche nine to eleven,
the portion nine eleven has the lowest five year depreciation.

Speaker 3 (55:43):
That's a very popular car.

Speaker 5 (55:45):
But I can't believe though normally those cars like that,
that's not a cheap Porsche, that's like the Porsche.

Speaker 3 (55:53):
How much is that Porsche run? Oh?

Speaker 9 (55:55):
Probably, I would guess one hundred and thirty thousand up
to three hundred and though.

Speaker 5 (56:00):
Anyway, well, and that's the first that holds its value
for five years, better than any car for five years.
Then the seven eighteen Caman Porsche is the next one
in line, and then Toyota, the Toyota Tacoma holds its value.

Speaker 3 (56:18):
The Chevy Corvette.

Speaker 5 (56:20):
Now I'm not saying you want to go out at
least these cars, but when I actually looked at the
five year depreciation rate, it really so. It's portion nine
to eleven. The Porsche seven eighteen, the Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Corvette,
Honda Civic is fifth.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
Chevrolet Camaro.

Speaker 5 (56:40):
See I'm shocked at this, and Toyota Tundra is seven,
Ford Mustang is eight, and another Porsche, the Boxter is nine.
The Toyota Corolla is ten. To any of those numbers,
surprise you. That's the lowest. Now that's five years. Now,
I don't know if that means their best at one

(57:00):
or two or three years, but at five years they
hold most of their MSRP compared to the rest of
the market.

Speaker 3 (57:08):
So that's the real world.

Speaker 9 (57:11):
You know, lenders may not lease them the same way
because they're not convinced that they'll hold their value all
in their world, but in real life. Yeah, those used
Porsches are you know, they'll bring more than MSRP because
they're so rare. You know, there's very few of them
made now.

Speaker 5 (57:26):
Cars with the highest depreciation in five years Mine is
number two, Mine is number two. Some of them fee.
The BMW seven series is holds its value the number two.
The least Jaguar is ahead of a Jaguar is the

(57:48):
biggest loser it. It depreciates the Jaguar seventy two percent.

Speaker 3 (57:57):
Seventy two Definitely want to least that one. You don't
want to lease it?

Speaker 9 (58:01):
Well, you do because the manufacturer is not going to
depreciate it that much because they need to sell them
so they'll have a higher residual value to try and
get people to lease them.

Speaker 5 (58:10):
The BMW seven series depreciates sixty seven percent. The Tesla
Model S is number three for depreciation. The Model S
depreciates sixty five percent, the Infinity sixty five percent, the
Maserati sixty four percent, and then another BMW the five

(58:31):
series sixty four percent, the Nissan Leaf, then another Maserati Levante,
and then the.

Speaker 3 (58:39):
Tesla Model X.

Speaker 5 (58:40):
Tesla's got two in the top ten for the worst depreciation,
So those cars you don't want to own, and then
the Cadillac Escalade ESV. Do you know why Tesla's depreciate?
People don't understand them. They're afraid. They're afraid that everybody's
convinced that if you buy use Tesla, you're gonna have
to replace ten thousand dollars and batteries. Do they inherit

(59:02):
do people that buy a used Tesla? Do they inherit
the battery warranty? Isn't the battery warrantied on that thing
for ten years?

Speaker 3 (59:10):
I think it's eight years? But I think they do
inherit it.

Speaker 5 (59:14):
You know they do? But and does it if it's
guarantee for eight years? I mean, what is real life
showing on replacement of batteries on Tesla's do we know yet?
I mean, I'm wondering how far you can go? And
because that's truly what's scaring people about EVS is replacement.

Speaker 3 (59:36):
Who the hell cares a vehicle ten years?

Speaker 5 (59:38):
No, no, no, no one, but the used cars is
what I'm talking about. As you get older, that's what
people are afraid of.

Speaker 3 (59:44):
That's why it's looking for a ten year old used car.

Speaker 5 (59:47):
No, but it doesn't have to be ten. It can
be five years old. It can be three years old.
A lot of people look for three to five year
old used cars.

Speaker 7 (59:54):
Lots of what I'm saying is in the batteries is
not going to matter. At three to five five years
of battery is going to be fine. Hell, my battery
holds ninety eight percent of what it did three years
ago and I bought it new.

Speaker 9 (01:00:08):
But it does matter to someone looking to buy a
used carp it's getting near the end of the battery
life and that's an expensive No.

Speaker 7 (01:00:15):
I agree, one hundred percent. But I don't know anybody
looking for a ten year old Tesla.

Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
No, I'm not now they won't, No, of course, not no.

Speaker 6 (01:00:25):
But they also say that the batteries are actually designed
to last for three hundred to five hundred thousand miles.

Speaker 7 (01:00:30):
Really wow, Yeah, I think you run up against the
time frame before the miles on.

Speaker 5 (01:00:35):
The battery as far as the warranty goes. Yeah, I
think your motors and other stuff I.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
Wonder in real life. I wonder in real life.

Speaker 5 (01:00:41):
Seriously, I'm going to ask my boyfriend artificial intelligence.

Speaker 3 (01:00:47):
I wonder in real life, how long.

Speaker 5 (01:00:51):
Have people had those batteries in real life? I wonder, Well, course,
like they're not Testa's not even that. How old is
the model lest? How long has it been out? I
don't know, okay, because really I wonder what real life
is showing us for battery.

Speaker 6 (01:01:07):
Say and hear that although they do degrade, they still
have about ninety percent of their capacity after ten years
or one hundred thousand miles.

Speaker 5 (01:01:18):
Really that's pretty damn good. See, I think that's a
that's an unwarranted fear that people are having.

Speaker 3 (01:01:25):
But see here's god. I still I go back to this.

Speaker 7 (01:01:28):
With technology the way it is now, I can't imagine
holding onto a car that long. I know, ten years
from now, the damn thing might fly you to work.

Speaker 3 (01:01:38):
I mean right, I don't even know why.

Speaker 5 (01:01:40):
People A lot of people do because they can't afford
it to other They can't otherwise afford a car. They
have to buy them get in one bad accident though
they have been avoided by technology. We talk to people
all day long that buy cars were two hundred thousand
miles on them. What are they thinking? It's all they
can afford.

Speaker 3 (01:01:56):
They can buy?

Speaker 7 (01:01:57):
Like, what a new Nissan Leaf now for free. We
talked about this a week again.

Speaker 3 (01:02:01):
What do you mean for free? Free?

Speaker 9 (01:02:03):
Yeah, you'd have to lease it. But yeah, the payments
are very low. There's a lot of that going on.

Speaker 3 (01:02:06):
Nine dollars, come on, tell them about it.

Speaker 9 (01:02:10):
Well, I mean there are some very low leases because
there's a lot of incentives right now. So you know
you have to read you.

Speaker 3 (01:02:16):
Put all the incentives on there.

Speaker 9 (01:02:18):
It's free. You got a free calls. You know, you
still have to come up with money. I mean it's
not you know, you have to pay ta real numbers.

Speaker 7 (01:02:24):
What's the cheap one with all tax credits everything applied?

Speaker 3 (01:02:28):
What one thousand bucks down? Maybe? Well so maybe again
you have nine dollars a month.

Speaker 9 (01:02:35):
You have to read through the disclaimers because they call
money down other things like acquisition fees and dealer handling.
But there's some yeah, there's some cars that you can
lease for one hundred dollars a month without coming up
with a lot of your own money.

Speaker 5 (01:02:48):
Yeah, it's crazy. Think about that right now. What are
the cheapest leases in the world right now?

Speaker 3 (01:02:56):
Just transfer to you?

Speaker 5 (01:02:58):
Well you better say on the cars, Oh yeah, on cars,
I can lease you a scooter. Listen, listen to my boyfriend.
I'm putting him on the air without his permission. Apparently
not I know, I mean just because I'm talking too much.
Come on, yes, damn it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
Hello, let's be there.

Speaker 14 (01:03:23):
Hey, it sounds like you're juggling a couple of things
at once, no worries at all. So if you're looking
for the cheapest car leases right now, oh, I can
definitely checheck that out for you. Let me take a
quick look at what's currently available.

Speaker 5 (01:03:38):
Yeah, go ahead, moron, all right? How long does it take?
I could do it quicker on Google. Well, I want
to know the cheapest least. As I hear there are
some evs you can lease for as little as ten
dollars a month. With all the incentives out there, I'm

(01:04:01):
going to get a divorce, I think so.

Speaker 14 (01:04:03):
Right now, some of the cheapest leases in the US
are indeed on evs, but maybe not quite as low
as ten bucks a month.

Speaker 3 (01:04:08):
It's at least not typically.

Speaker 14 (01:04:10):
For example, right now, Volkswagen Iet four might lease for
around one hundred and twenty nine a month, and Hyundai
Ionic five for about one hundred and.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
Forty nine a month.

Speaker 14 (01:04:18):
There's also something like a Chevy equinoxivs around two forty
nine a months now. The catch is that a lot
of these super low prices rely on federal ev tax incentives,
and those are actually set to expire the end of
September twenty twenty five. So if you're looking to grab
a deal, you'll probably want to jump on it refore
those incentives vanish. But yep, there are definitely some really
affordable leases out there right now.

Speaker 5 (01:04:39):
Hey, I just put you on the air on my
radio show without your permission.

Speaker 3 (01:04:43):
I hope that's okay. But what I'd like you to.

Speaker 5 (01:04:46):
Do now is just tell everyone we're going to a
commercial and we'll be right back.

Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
Go ahead.

Speaker 14 (01:04:52):

the good news is AND i found. THIS i was
searching for some health stuff that they have found that
there's a five were called beta. Glucan it's in oats
and barley and other, things or you can get the

(01:06:06):
supplement literally reduces the levels of forever chemicals within four.

Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
WEEKS i, mean this is.

Speaker 5 (01:06:14):
Major you, KNOW i noticed a lot of newscat newspeople
now that everything's, politics they don't get into other.

Speaker 3 (01:06:24):
News but this is big.

Speaker 5 (01:06:25):
News so the specific fiber is called beta, glucan and
it has been shown in clinical trials to reduce forever
chemicals or PIFAs in the. Bloodstream and this happens in
just four. Weeks SO i, mean you just can't beat.

(01:06:46):
That that is like a for sure. Thing you don't
have to have any, drugs and it helps you because
not everyone can afford a water system to get it
out of your. Water BUT i find that incredible. News
so we were talking about. Cars one guy said that

(01:07:06):
he's been waiting over a year for His nissan over a. Year,
now that's. Incredible he didn't say what it was. FOR

their tax. Return there's a minimum income requirement.

paying for other.

that federal tax Credit colorado state tax credit using that
as a cap reduction only towards the.

design as. Woke if anything is described as, woke they go.

Speaker 3 (01:16:39):
BROKE i don't understand. IT i.

Speaker 5 (01:16:41):
Don't that's the last thing on my mind WHEN i
saw this. Logo the last thing on my mind was
the Old, cracker was that there was something wrong with it.

Speaker 3 (01:16:50):
Politically and then they, say here's the.

Speaker 5 (01:16:55):
Thing there are people who claim that politics have a
place in, marketing and the wokeness is trying to make
its way into marketing to subliminately basically influence.

Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
People NOW i have to, ADMIT i have to admit WHEN.

Speaker 5 (01:17:15):
I looked at that, LOGO i immediately wanted to Vote.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
Democrat so it Did maybe it did have SOME i don't.

Speaker 5 (01:17:22):
Know the holy grail of marketing is to Create now
This i'm reading from this news.

Speaker 3 (01:17:28):
Article the holy grail of marketing.

about and feel. Ownership it's exceeding exceedingly. Rare when you have,
that As Cracker barrel, did why would they ever abandon?

Speaker 7 (01:17:46):
It i'm reading this article that, Says, okay here's WHAT i.
Google do black people go to Cracker? Barrel that's WHAT i. Googled,
yes black people go To Cracker, barrel although a lot
avoided due to past documented instances of systemic racism and
discrimination against black.

Speaker 3 (01:18:07):

Speaker 3 (01:22:34):
FIVE i got a text.

Speaker 5 (01:22:35):
Here is There as with Shopping, bob they want to,
know is there a time of year you get better.
DEALS i personally think there might be with their new
model years coming.

Speaker 3 (01:22:45):
Out but what do you THINK i.

Speaker 9 (01:22:47):
Mean not like it used to, be because you, know
it used to be the model year would change in
Say September. October, NOW i Mean i've already delivered some
twenty six model. Cars there's still new twenty, fours so
there's way.

Speaker 3 (01:22:59):
Time there are twenty six models In.

Speaker 9 (01:23:02):
August, Yes and a lot of it has to do
with you, know they have to have an AVERAGE epa,
rating you, know for their entire line of, cars and
so when someone likes SAY ram makes, trucks you, know
it's hard to get their their average fuel mileage up
because they change.

Speaker 5 (01:23:20):
That, man there's no purpose in that. Anymore, Correct, well
what do you mean there's no? Purpose what was it
originally meant?

Speaker 3 (01:23:26):
For to save? Oil? Right, no for the, atmosphere, yeah
for well. Cafe it was called the the fleet.

Speaker 5 (01:23:33):
Rating it was the fleet, ratings and you had to
have your fleet ratings at a certain. Number and they're
still doing. That they haven't relaxed them at, all not
to my. Knowledge, No, man.

Speaker 3 (01:23:43):
EV's have to help that fleet.

Speaker 9 (01:23:45):
Radio BUT ram doesn't have AN Ev.

Speaker 5 (01:23:48):
Okay so you're saying there is no real specific time
of the year to get a better deal than.

Speaker 9 (01:23:54):
OTHERS i mean not, really you, know especially SINCE. Covid you,
know all cars have been in shorter supply, Still so
it used to, be you, know if you're gonna look
for a better, deal sometimes in a, month because you,
know dealers have you, know quotas they need to hit
to help their. Allocation so you might walk in there
on the right day and get a real good. Deal
but even that's not like it used to.

Speaker 5 (01:24:15):
Be, okay does here's another. One does certified pre owned
mean anything to? Me there's no legal definition for. That you,
wait just real, quick, Guys i'm the. Cafe, yeah they.
Did in, Fact trump rolled back the stricter. Standards in,
fact by next year they were supposed to go to
fifty nine miles per gallon for the fleet for passenger

(01:24:38):
vehicles is what it says. Here and there's no longer
enforcing some of the standards at. All and he eliminated the.

Speaker 7 (01:24:46):
Penalties SO i, mean even if you didn't stick to,
it there's no reason not.

Speaker 5 (01:24:51):
To or, two, yeah there's no reason for complying that
there's no penalty so certified. Own you hear that all the.
Time it's whatever the manufacturer says it, is or it's
whatever the dealer says it. Is, RIGHT i, mean there
is no meaning in the. Industry what does it mean
certified pre? Owned it means That i'm certifying this used

(01:25:13):
to be owned by.

Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
Someone, no it means you get a better.

Speaker 5 (01:25:16):
Warranty, well and that's that's if some manufacturers do.

Speaker 9 (01:25:19):
That most of the you know like you, Know, MERCEDES, Bmw,
porsche all Those if you buy a certified pre owned
car to use extend the factory warranty two years in unlimited,
mileage so you're actually getting factory warranty for a longer
period of.

Speaker 5 (01:25:34):
Time but there is no legal definition that says that
you have to check with each.

Speaker 3 (01:25:38):
Dealer what does certified pre owned?

Speaker 5 (01:25:40):
Mean like what Didn't hyundai have a program where there
has to be a certified pre owned to get the.

Speaker 7 (01:25:47):
Warranty, yeah if you buy a Used hondai and you
want to add one hundred thousand mile not the bumper
to bumper that you can have ten different. Owners but
if you want one hundred thousand mile, powertrain it's got
to be, certified meaning you have to buy it from
A hondai, dealer someone that traded it In. Hey by the,
way you know these cafe standards keep that they drive me.

(01:26:09):
Crazy you realize it wasn't long Ago suzanna AND i
were In mexico you could buy A volkswagon for like twelve,
grand twelve grand brand new because it didn't have the catalytic.
Converter it didn't have any of that. Crap and that's
crazy to. Me and they're right here next to, us Like.
Canada it's like if you can drive all that stuff over,

(01:26:30):
there and to think because we have better emissions, here
that changes anything as.

Speaker 3 (01:26:36):
Insunow, No we're in the same damn. Continent, NO i understand,
that and.

Speaker 7 (01:26:42):
So why do we pay the price As? Americans it's absolute.

Speaker 5 (01:26:45):
Crap by the, way as far as The carfaxes of
the world or similar, reports Is carfax still the? Shisiness
is it the one everyone cares? About or can you
get different? Ones how many different ones are?

Speaker 3 (01:27:02):
There?

Speaker 9 (01:27:04):
SO i Mean carfax is the one people accept the
most because they advertise the. MOST i mean there's there are, others,
right there's, Others, YEAH i mean there's not, many but
you know they're only as good as the information that they.

Speaker 3 (01:27:15):
Get, so and.

Speaker 5 (01:27:16):
Here's WHAT i want to, Know, jeff when you make a,
repair a major, repair do you report To?

Speaker 6 (01:27:22):
Carfax, NO i have the option, to BUT i. DON'T
i just don't like handing out my customer's info without you,
know their consenter.

Speaker 5 (01:27:30):
Knowledge and you're doing it on the, vehicle not on
the person, anyway right.

Speaker 6 (01:27:34):
Right but all, that but basically For carfax to get
that they actually attached to my ro writer.

Speaker 3 (01:27:39):
Software, yeah that's what they want to. Know what do
they what do they give you for?

Speaker 6 (01:27:43):
That if they don't give us, anything there's no incential
for us to do.

Speaker 5 (01:27:46):
It because auto body shops that do, it that's where
the most of the harm comes, in, Right, BOB i,
MEAN i mean HARM a lot of consumers to, say,
no it's not. HARM i want to know this has
been in an, accident AND i.

Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
AGREE i.

Speaker 9 (01:28:00):
Agree so there's body shops that don't report the car.
Facts they get information from a police, report insurance. CLAIMS
i mean that's where they get most of the.

Speaker 7 (01:28:09):
INFORMATION i don't know anybody shopped it reports directly To.

Speaker 3 (01:28:13):
Carfax that would piss people. Off it's like company you, own.

Speaker 9 (01:28:18):
Police, reports because you, know so a policeman writes a
report on an accident and he determines how much did they,
yes because they have it on, there you know the.

Speaker 5 (01:28:28):
Report So i've known people who have had major damage
listed on their car facts and it wasn't major damage at.

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
All and so how do you get that?

Speaker 9 (01:28:37):
Changed very difficult because again you have to get the
police officer to change his. Report and it's lucky if
you can do. THAT i had a customer who had
a a like a ride truck ran over ride and
it came through his windshield and didn't kill him or his.
Son but the only damage to the car was the,
windshield and the policeman wrote it a severe damage and.

Speaker 3 (01:28:59):
So it went by a severe damage no matter.

Speaker 9 (01:29:01):
What customer got lucky you went to the police. Department
the officer happened to be there when he was, there
and he remembered it and he changed. It but it's
it's very rare and it affects the value quite a.

Speaker 3 (01:29:09):
Bit all. Right so.

Speaker 5 (01:29:13):
This one, said you guys were talking about, EV's how
does maintenance? Compare?

Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (01:29:21):
What, okay let's first talk about what do? Car what
do the cars have in? Common they all have the, suspension,
correct they have the, steering they have the, brakes, well
not necessarily the same, breaks although or do they disc?

Speaker 3 (01:29:37):
BREAKS i mean they.

Speaker 5 (01:29:38):
Have what you're compared, to what we're comparing is EV's
to regular. Cars like maintenance, WISE i don't think you
can even. Steering he has so much less. Maintenance the
steering is completely. DIFFERENT i, MEAN i, think what do you, mean.

Speaker 7 (01:29:50):
Oh it's purely ELECTRICONOM i, mean like, hell the robotaxis
don't even have a steering.

Speaker 5 (01:29:57):
Wheel, okay but this they still will have linkages and,
stuff is What i'm talking.

Speaker 3 (01:30:02):
About i'm not actually sure if they.

Speaker 6 (01:30:04):
Do you've got you've got suspension in, there you've got ball,
joys you've got control. Arms, okay so and you, know
even today's conventional.

Speaker 3 (01:30:10):
Vehicle and you have shots right, right and.

Speaker 6 (01:30:13):
Even today's conventional. Vehicle most of the steering is electric.
Steering it's it's electric power.

Speaker 5 (01:30:18):
Assist what did so they're little motors helping you. Steer
they are even so everything's power. Steering there's no such
thing extra.

Speaker 3 (01:30:27):
Pedal the gas pedal is basically there for sure has
dried by?

Speaker 5 (01:30:30):
Wire are you so you're really when you press down
a gas pedal. Anymore there's no such thing as linkages that.

Speaker 6 (01:30:38):
Actually volcanical linkage for.

Speaker 5 (01:30:40):
That, no, okay so that's the, throttle and then when
it comes to the, steering the same kind of.

Speaker 3 (01:30:45):
Thing, well or you have got.

Speaker 6 (01:30:47):
The steering column and it goes down to a motor
and that motor is your power.

Speaker 3 (01:30:51):
Assist so you still how you still have steering and the.

Speaker 7 (01:30:55):
Steering like example once, again though on the Newer tesla's
h's steer by the steering wheel is not mechanically connected
to the. Wheels it sends an electronic signal to translate
the driver's input into commands for the electric.

Speaker 3 (01:31:11):
MOTORS i wonder what happened on the front steering, raction.

Speaker 6 (01:31:14):
What happened on A tesla if you had a computer
clitch while you were driving woo?

Speaker 5 (01:31:19):
Coabluely, WELL i don't. KNOW i, mean that's why they.

Speaker 7 (01:31:22):
Got rid of hydrogen, because As trump, said when there
is an, accident it's a real big.

Speaker 5 (01:31:27):
One but they have they have airplanes that have those
kinds of controls now. Too all, Right so this next,
question as far as replacement costs of the, Batteries i'd
never talk to one person ever ever in my life
that has had A tesla and replace them and had
it long enough to replace or any ev not one.

Speaker 3 (01:31:49):
Person oh maybe not in all. Electric but what the
Prius i've heard of people get New preus.

Speaker 9 (01:31:55):
BATTERIES i wonder what they. Cost they're like four or
five thousand. DOLLARS i believe they're not a lot and
they last all last.

Speaker 5 (01:32:01):
Time, yeah BUT i, mean so what do we know
what it would cause on In?

Speaker 3 (01:32:05):
Tesla those are.

Speaker 7 (01:32:07):
One of the biggest those. Priuses honestly talk about the
test of. TIME i, mean those, things if you don't
trade them, in they're still on the, road aren't.

Speaker 5 (01:32:15):

Two, Okay Tom martin are?

Speaker 5 (01:32:56):
Here THREE o three seven one three talks seven one
three to, two five to five one text? Here how
important is transmission? Service how often DO i really need
to do? It they have a car coming up on
sixty thousand, miles they don't know if it's been.

Speaker 6 (01:33:14):
Done, well it's definitely time to do it if hadn't had.

Speaker 5 (01:33:17):
Done but how often do people you get a new? Car,
okay what do you?

Speaker 6 (01:33:21):
Do how often are you talking about a new used
car or a new car?

Speaker 3 (01:33:26):
Like how often and when in its? LIFE i mean
there's not a vehicle out.

Speaker 6 (01:33:31):
THERE i don't recommend every three years or thirty six thousand, miles.
OKAY i mean maintenance is the most cost effective means
you can use of trying to maximize the longevity any
part of that, car whether it's the, engine whether it's the,
transmission even your. Battery battery's probably probably the most neglected
part in the. Vehicle people don't get in there and clean.

Speaker 7 (01:33:49):
It How come these motors are electrics And i'm going
back To tesla or any of. Them how come there's
no maintenance on that compared to a. Transmission there is
nowhere it says.

Speaker 5 (01:34:01):
Hard it's sealed with hardly any. Friction why can't they
do that with the. Transmission, well because the sheer nature
of the transmission is friction is clutch are clutches and servos.

Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
And and gears right and?

Speaker 6 (01:34:17):
Correct, yeah you need the fluid not only to apply
those clutches or, bands.

Speaker 3 (01:34:22):
But also snow fluid in these.

Speaker 5 (01:34:24):
Motors, no just grease and a little bit Of does
a grease break?

Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
Down not when.

Speaker 5 (01:34:30):
It's, sealed because the heat is. Controlled you could break it,
down and you could break a. Seal, yeah but but they're.
Controlled you can control electricity way more than you control.
Combustion combustion is is combustion? Electricity you can you can
control the torque off the, line you can control the top,
end you can control the vibration and inside that you

(01:34:54):
with brushless engines you have nothing touching, anything and an
electric motor you have nothing. Touching there's nothing to wear,
out literally nothing to wear.

Speaker 3 (01:35:03):
Out that's why they're the lowest maintenance. Period.

Speaker 5 (01:35:06):
YEAH i mean when you look at a sealed electric,
motor what is there really the thing that it could wear?
Out possibly is where the THE i call it the.
Actle but the drive train comes through the case of the.
Motor they have to have some kind of, barrier a
bearing surface of some kind where the main ARMATURE i

(01:35:28):
think it's called it goes through and comes out and
then drives. Something so the main shaft of that electric
motor is touching a bearing, surface but those bearings are also.

Speaker 7 (01:35:39):
Sealed they say those motors on A tesla is a
half a million, miles and the way a lot of
them are way over a.

Speaker 5 (01:35:47):
Million that's easily easily easily because of the controls and
the lack of.

Speaker 7 (01:35:53):
Friction But, jeff you're saying on a standard, transmission there's
just no way to do.

Speaker 3 (01:35:58):
That there's too many moving parts, Exactly.

Speaker 6 (01:36:00):
Josh, transmission even if you're talking about, CVTs i, mean,
oh they've got to have, fluids you're gonna have contact,
points you've got to control the, temperatures all of those those.

Speaker 3 (01:36:09):
Things to play Fu, technically it would be too.

Speaker 5 (01:36:11):
Expensive you could have electric clutches that work on, electromagnetism
but it would be incredibly.

Speaker 6 (01:36:17):
Expensive and then you're putting way too many parts into the.
CAR i, mean when you can put the motor right
out the wheel like on The. Tesla why would you?

Speaker 3 (01:36:23):
Bother, no you.

Speaker 5 (01:36:24):
Wouldn't that would be if you had some kind of.
Hybrid somebody wants to, know what do you think about
quick glue? PLACES i, MEAN i don't think they're.

Speaker 6 (01:36:34):
Bad, well it's better than no, Maintenance i'll say.

Speaker 3 (01:36:36):
That if you use them to change your, Oil, yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:36:39):
They you, know they do a good job for what to.
Do uh you know that being, said when it comes
to something like a, transmission you know a lot of,
them the newer, ones they're not even touching because there
is no.

Speaker 3 (01:36:49):
Dipstick, No AND.

Speaker 5 (01:36:49):
I don't like when they make recommendations there, EITHER i,
mean you, know like like although they're not doing the,
repairs so it's not like they have a vested in.

Speaker 7 (01:36:57):
Interest oh you'd be shocked how many of dive into
some repairs right?

Speaker 3 (01:37:01):
Now the quick Lose, okay. Definitely transmission, Services.

Speaker 6 (01:37:05):
Yeah they do transmission, services but a lot of them
they turn away and quite, frankly once they hit one
hundred thousand miles they'll most likely not touch it.

Speaker 5 (01:37:12):
Anyway, yeah, Okay, Yeah and you gotta you gotta be
suspect of a joint when you go for a job
interview and they put a mirror up to your.

Speaker 3 (01:37:21):

Speaker 6 (01:38:37):

out deposits and then cleans out. Carbon so even inside
the combustion, schaper it's cleaning stuff out inside an additive. Package,
yeah you're just dumping in with your gas and go
or with your.

Speaker 3 (01:38:50):
Oil, okay this Isn't this is just an. Opinion the
m O.

Speaker 5 (01:38:53):
A they Say martine always talks about never buying warranties
as you buy road hazard all the. Time i've never
not bought a road hazard for my. Tires these guys
At Big o' they don't fool. Around they replace it
and when they don't, match they replace them all the
same with.

Speaker 3 (01:39:08):
Discount yeah MAYBE i meant, That, yeah you probably. DID
i did mean. DISCOUNT i did mean. Discount my.

Speaker 7 (01:39:15):
God i'll tell you where a Discount i'll always argue
with is WHEN i have my snow tire.

Speaker 3 (01:39:19):
Changeover they always want to sell me new, sensors which is.

Speaker 7 (01:39:24):
INSANE i, mean if you're doing them every three years
with new, tires but if you're doing them to switch
over snow, Tires i'm, LIKE i don't.

Speaker 3 (01:39:31):
CARE i don't want. Them you know they're twelve bucks. Apiece,
okay where is that ONE i wanted to? Find hold on?
Hold where is?

Speaker 2 (01:39:39):
It?

Speaker 5 (01:39:40):
Oh, oh mileage not all mileage is. Equal in other,
words highway. Miles if you're looking at a used, car
highway miles does make a difference.

Speaker 3 (01:39:48):
About siberia miles compared To hawaiian.

Speaker 6 (01:39:51):
Miles or even even just you, know mountainto. City you
know somebody who has a vehicle that's been used out
there in the mountains or up and down roads all the.
Time you know that's going to wear out suspensions a lot,
More you're going to have a lot of other other
issues that come up with something like. That so where
that car actually was domiciled will make a.

Speaker 3 (01:40:08):
Difference, Okay, bob do you like gap? Insurance?

Speaker 5 (01:40:12):
Yeah absolutely so you, do and explain that it only
goes to what one hundred and what of the price
one hundred and five one hundred and, Ten SO i.

Speaker 9 (01:40:19):
Mean it'll go to more than. That so it covers
deficiency from if a car is total to what you
owe on.

Speaker 5 (01:40:25):
It, yeah but it's for people being upside. Down it
covers the. Gap so if you don't have enough to
pay off your, car it pays it. Off but they
don't ensure buying. Stupid See in other, words you know
if you weigh over pay for a, car GAP's not
going to just cover.

Speaker 3 (01:40:41):

(01:41:29):
three all three seven one three talks seven one three
eight two five. Five, anyway we've been talking to our
car people about a lot of. Things i've been going
not just to today's, text but texts have. Gotten WHAT
i do IS i put them in a folder AND
i have them WHEN i need. Them and, sorry five,
acres it's five.

Speaker 3 (01:41:48):
Acres five. Acres, oh we're.

Speaker 5 (01:41:49):
Talking about a building one hundred and twenty thousand square.

Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
Fee isn't an? Acre an? Acre?

Speaker 5 (01:41:54):
IS i think forty? THOUSAND i think an acre's forty
thousand square.

Speaker 7 (01:41:57):
Forty three, thousand five hundred and sixty, yeah, Okay so,
anyway oh, oh, oh this is something we hear a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:42:04):
Of is it a myth when you have a high
mileage older? Vehicle can you switch to? Synthetics jeff Vic
if you switch to, synthetic will it ruin it or
unpack that sludge that you need? There that's all a,
myth a.

Speaker 6 (01:42:17):
Myth, Yeah and most most oils now or at least
semi synthetic, anyway.

Speaker 5 (01:42:23):
Okay and is it true that if you have a
timing chain and not a.

Speaker 3 (01:42:26):
Belt you don't have to change it in most.

Speaker 6 (01:42:28):
Cases there are some that do have service, Intervals so
depending on your, vehicle that's something to discuss with your.

Speaker 5 (01:42:33):
Mechanic, okay oh this is probably For. Bob the cracked
windshield repair versus. REPLACEMENT i, mean when do you replace
and when do you? Like, like as far as the price,
goes it's way cheaper to fix those bullet, holes isn't.

Speaker 9 (01:42:51):
It it is a lot of insurance companies will not
charge you if you get them fixed as opposed to.
Replaced kind of depends on where they're at in your
line of. View you, know if it's right and you
know your, vision then you probably want to replace it
or if it's.

Speaker 5 (01:43:03):
CRACKED i can answer this without, anybody BUT i want
to know lifetime. Fluids, god why lifetime fluids and? Cars
when you buy them now they say Lifetime why did
they do?

Speaker 6 (01:43:16):
That, well they are lifetime. Fluids did it worked? Great
as soon as the lifetime of that transmissions? Ended, joe
just change out the.

Speaker 5 (01:43:22):
Fluid so lifetime transmission are they actually?

Speaker 3 (01:43:27):
Sealed you?

Speaker 6 (01:43:28):
Know they call them sealed transmissions because they've removed the
consumers or the driver's ability to get into. It there's
no dipstick. There you, know you've got to get underneath.
It some of them have, plugs some of them have
literally they've got like a tube that goes up into the.
Pan you've got to check it from. There some of
them do have a. Dipstick, well once, again it's underneath
and you have to be able to take it out
from underneath the.

Speaker 7 (01:43:48):
VEHICLE i had A, chrysler like a brand new two
thousand and five or Eight chrysler three. Hundred does that sound?
Right and that was the first car her. Own they
didn't have a transmission. DIPSTICK i was baffled by it
had THAT hemi.

Speaker 6 (01:44:04):
Engine, yeah and you have to access it from underneath the.

Speaker 3 (01:44:07):
Car, Okay now this came from last. Year oil. Additives
do they add life to the?

Speaker 6 (01:44:14):
Engine depending on the additudes you're? Using, uh you know
THE Moa mark brought it up. Earlier once, again ANOTHER bg,
product great, product.

Speaker 3 (01:44:24):
And that stands for SOMETHING i, remember oil.

Speaker 6 (01:44:28):
ADDED i think that's all it.

Speaker 3 (01:44:30):
IS i but do you like? Additives? YEAH i, DO i.

Speaker 6 (01:44:37):
DO i MEAN i ad them to my own.

Speaker 3 (01:44:39):
TRUCK i still got a case of that old guy.
Stuffs he you could put it.

Speaker 7 (01:44:45):
In, There, no it was really and run it around
a track after dumping the oil out for what like
a couple of, miles.

Speaker 3 (01:44:52):
For more than a couple.

Speaker 5 (01:44:53):
Miles what it was is copper lip, okay c ln
copper lead and molbnano.

Speaker 3 (01:45:00):
And it would it would. Coat there were, tiny, tiny
tiny bees.

Speaker 5 (01:45:05):
Microscopic what it would do is coat the inside when
it got hot of the engine and played it literally
and then it would wear away.

Speaker 3 (01:45:14):
Sacrificially if you ever ran low on, oil that's.

Speaker 6 (01:45:17):

Speaker 3 (01:46:58):
Home what's? Happening?

Speaker 8 (01:47:00):
Hi?

Speaker 15 (01:47:00):
Tom, so my sister was in a senior living apartment
and she had two very serious, faults and so we
moved her to an assisted living and you, know they
were working with her physical.

Speaker 8 (01:47:16):
Therapy she was using a walker.

Speaker 15 (01:47:20):
And she was doing fairly. Well she fell and brokeal hip.

Speaker 3 (01:47:24):
In the bathroom at the assisted living, Place bardon at
the assisted living. Home she, fell, yes.

Speaker 15 (01:47:33):
Yes and so she had surgery and then she was
back and they were doing a little bit of extra care.

Speaker 8 (01:47:42):
And that kind of name wal physical.

Speaker 15 (01:47:44):
Therapy, Okay, well she fell. Twice when we went back
after the broken. Hip they had done a new care.
Plan she was supposed to be checked on every hour
and you, know be able to call and have someone
to fairly quickly if she was in.

Speaker 8 (01:48:02):
Trouble, well her.

Speaker 15 (01:48:04):
Call light wasn't, working and she fell, again and then
she fell, again what had two more. Falls luckily she.

Speaker 8 (01:48:13):
Wasn't injured in those last two, falls or she had no, injuries.

Speaker 15 (01:48:19):
But people didn't, come and so she was not being
checked on every. Hour and he was on the floor
in the bathroom for a little while when she failed
the second. Time AND i just feel like they did
not follow the care plan.

Speaker 9 (01:48:37):
With his last.

Speaker 15 (01:48:38):
Fall she did go to the emergency well each time
she went to.

Speaker 3 (01:48:41):
Bed my, god what do they say about?

Speaker 15 (01:48:43):
This, well they say they're going to adjust the care.

Speaker 8 (01:48:48):
Plan And i've had.

Speaker 15 (01:48:50):
To call the nursing supervisor several times at night because
she couldn't get anybody to come in and help. Her
and they gave her a new CALL i didn't. Work
finally she got one that.

Speaker 2 (01:49:03):
Works but.

Speaker 15 (01:49:05):
They were just not following the care plan they've. Made
after she broke her, hire nobody was checking on her very,
frequently and you, know she just wasn't getting the.

Speaker 2 (01:49:16):
Help that she.

Speaker 3 (01:49:17):
Needed so here's some of the.

Speaker 5 (01:49:19):
Problems here's some of the problems with these damn. Places
because people are old and, frail there the. Damages they're
not worried about. Damages they're NOT i don't know how
to put this more succinctly or more frankly and more
transparently than there are no damages to, collect they, think

(01:49:42):
so there's, nothing nothing. Lost that, says, hey, listen you know,
what who cares if she falls a couple of? Times
what's the family going to? Do sue us for? What
her quality of?

Speaker 3 (01:49:52):
Life?

Speaker 8 (01:49:53):
Is?

Speaker 5 (01:49:53):
Crap, anyway she's not losing her. Career, No, No i'm.
Serious it's a terrible. Thing and but that's not to
say you can't do anything about. It you CAN i,
mean you can file a lawsuit for needless pain and
suffering and all of, that but is that what you?

Speaker 3 (01:50:09):
Want what were you hoping to find out with?

Speaker 15 (01:50:11):
ME i wasn't really looking for a, Lawsuit. Okay WHAT
i was looking for is who DO i file a complaint?

Speaker 16 (01:50:24):
With?

Speaker 15 (01:50:24):
Okay now she's going to have to go to a
higher level of care so that she can be supervised.
Better but if she'd been super high better where she,
WAS i, KNOW i don't think she would have to do.

Speaker 5 (01:50:40):
This although Although sidney was she in an assisted living
home or a nursing.

Speaker 15 (01:50:44):
Home it's assisted, living but the highest level of. CARE i.

Speaker 5 (01:50:49):
Understand but she, needed she truly needed to be in
a nursing. Home they're not equipped for they're not equipped
for this after the second, fall they should have put
her in a nursing, home.

Speaker 15 (01:51:00):
Right but the care manager, said oh, no we don't
need to do. That we will do an altered care
plan and she will be just fine living.

Speaker 5 (01:51:09):
Here But i'm asking, you are you are? You are
you putting her in a nursing? Home please tell me you.

Speaker 3 (01:51:13):
Are, yes, yes we.

Speaker 15 (01:51:15):
Are we're gonna put her in a higher. Level and
she's had it for memory. Care she's not quite ready
to be there, yet but she does get confused a little.

Speaker 5 (01:51:25):
Bit did you did you you're not looking For do
you want us to call over?

Speaker 3 (01:51:30):
THERE i mean we would call making.

Speaker 5 (01:51:32):
Inquiries that sometimes shakes them, up BUT i don't know
what you'll get out of. It the fact is you
need to get her out of there into a nursing.
Home that's truly what you need to.

Speaker 2 (01:51:40):
Do, Okay, OKAY i, MEAN i mean.

Speaker 5 (01:51:43):
Other than, that if you want us, to we can
call over. There of, Course hippa is a pain in the,
ass but we can call over saying we understand you
had a resident there that not only broke her hip,
once but fell three or four times after, that and
she was supposed to be under a higher level of.

Speaker 3 (01:51:59):
Care, susan do you still have, That? Hippa do you
have power of? Attorney? CINDY i.

Speaker 15 (01:52:05):
DO i have power of, attorney.

Speaker 8 (01:52:09):
And all of her medical stuff is under.

Speaker 3 (01:52:11):
Me you, know we Couldn't we could send.

Speaker 5 (01:52:14):
You we could send you a hip of thing that
we send to the nursing. Home, listen What i'm saying
is if we get, involved it's like doing. Battle they're
going to be really pissed. OFF i, mean and and.

Speaker 3 (01:52:26):
But we we would we would do it if you
want us.

Speaker 5 (01:52:29):
To BUT i think IF i were, YOU i would
just say the hell with, it thank god she's not
seriously hurt right, now and get her into a nursing.

Speaker 3 (01:52:37):
Home that's WHAT i would.

Speaker 15 (01:52:39):
Do, Well, okay yes it's intensive rehab right.

Speaker 8 (01:52:43):
Now but she can only stay true now if.

Speaker 5 (01:52:45):
You LIKE i, said if you want to make more,
noise leave your information With. Cindy exus me with A
kachina Glory cindy and we. Will here are the steps
when it was something like this. Happens you have to
fill out the hip Of we have to send a
hippo form to the nurse to the assisted. Living then
we give it to deputy doc to call over there

Speaker 3 (01:54:10):
Down you can give all kinds of reasons for, that
but you.

Speaker 5 (01:54:15):
Have to check on them because you can't just go
every now and then and hope everything's going to work.
Out getting back to some car questions going into the
the files, here muscle. Cars are there some muscle cars
better than others for restoring and keeping that will last?

Speaker 6 (01:54:38):
Longer, well that's going to be depending on who we're.

Speaker 3 (01:54:41):
DISTRUSTED i don't think.

Speaker 6 (01:54:42):
It, well you know some of them are going to
be more expensive to, build, SURE i mean, YEAH i
mean you can get what.

Speaker 5 (01:54:48):
Are some of the best ones for longevity if they
want to keep.

Speaker 6 (01:54:51):
IT i, mean that's just going to be up to
whatever you. Do for that build and who actually does the.
Build so you can't really pick out a model what's
going to have the best one for? Longevity if you
have mark to, it it's gonna last a lot less
time than IF i do.

Speaker 5 (01:55:06):
It, Okay so on muscle, cars you can't say this
is a piece of.

Speaker 3 (01:55:11):
Junk don't bother it's know What i'm.

Speaker 6 (01:55:13):
Saying, NO i mean if you were to, find you,
know your whole that you plan on, Restoring.

Speaker 3 (01:55:17):
Like GTOs VERSUS. GTO i, mean what's something like A
marvel dangs versus A.

Speaker 6 (01:55:22):
Gto is going to have a higher, value but it's
probably gonna be cost more. Together so and it appends a,
word a super, word if that's going to cost you
a fortune to put? Together All, right A mustang you
can put that together a lot cheaper than you can
because they've got a lot of aftermarket panels and everything
else you can put.

Speaker 5 (01:55:39):
Together, okay someone wants to store a car and they're going,
overseas they're going to tour the. World how would you
store your? Car and how? Long when do you have
to worry about storing a? Car or how long can
you just leave it in the?

Speaker 6 (01:55:53):
Garage, WELL i mean you don't the first people. Think
people usually think about us the gas going, bad you.
Know So i'm gonna say that part is.

Speaker 3 (01:56:00):
Easy you don't leave.

Speaker 6 (01:56:01):
Gas, well you can leave the gas in, it but
depends on how long you're, gone you know WHAT i. Mean. Gabulator,
yeah you can put a stabilizer in, There but about.

Speaker 3 (01:56:09):
That they don't last, long do.

Speaker 6 (01:56:10):
They, well even without the, stabilizer your gas is probably
good for you and easy. Here, okay so you put
the stabilizer in. THERE i MEAN i do the same
thing with my. Snowmobiles at the end of the, SEASON
i put some stabilizer in. There, Okay so it does
make a bit of a, difference you.

Speaker 7 (01:56:23):
Know funny, ENOUGH i was thinking about lawnmowers when you
were saying. Stabilizer i've had a lawnmower THAT i didn't
use for two or three years BECAUSE i bought a different.
Tractor that thing fired up perfectly three years that gas
was in.

Speaker 5 (01:56:35):
There when they say gas goes, bad by the, way
most of the, time what they're talking about is it loses,
octane so that means it becomes more, volatile so it'll
fire up really. Easily the thing, is will it do
damage to the, engine the, motors the.

Speaker 7 (01:56:50):
Lawnmower Not, yeah we're talking At briggs And. Stratton it'll
probably run off of a. Beer BUT i mean your
car will fire. Up, yeah your carl fire with very low.

Speaker 5 (01:56:58):
Octane knock sensors be enough to to to keep it
from damage long as.

Speaker 6 (01:57:04):
It hasn't sat too. LONG i, mean sincerely doubt that
car is gonna set for you, know more than a. Year,
yeah if it's just two, years.

Speaker 5 (01:57:12):
You don't have to go through any extraordinary me what
about tires moving?

Speaker 6 (01:57:15):
It, yeah you, know if if nobody's gonna be able
to move it that it wouldn't be a bad idea
to put it up on. Blocks it's not you, know
they can develop flat spots by sitting in the same.

Speaker 5 (01:57:24):
Spot, yeah, Idea so you take you just put them
up on. It you can buy those those those new you,
know we're not talking about homemade, blocks but you. Can
but more more or, less you can buy. Them AND
i know That Harbor freight has some stuff you can
or you can drive up on little.

Speaker 6 (01:57:40):
Ramps well you're still driving up on, ramps you're still
sitting on the.

Speaker 5 (01:57:43):
Tires oh that's. Right, NO i meant drive up to
get it Under, god how long of the trips this person. Takes,
no they're going around the. World they want to know
they're going to store their car to a.

Speaker 6 (01:57:51):
Year, yeah there's really not a lot he's going to
have to.

Speaker 5 (01:57:55):
Do, Okay so so the the answer is you don't
have to do a. Lot when would you have to
worry about the engine and the oil and all that
that we're talking about years and?

Speaker 6 (01:58:04):
YEARS i mean when you get, home you, know if
you're worried about, it change your fluids. Out BUT i
wouldn't work to put too much thought Into.

Speaker 5 (01:58:11):
Okay this guy is a classic. Car can he use
all the new? Oils yeah you?

Speaker 6 (01:58:16):
Can, yeah, okay just with whatever weights it's supposed to.
TAKE i, MEAN i wouldn't put it at zero twenty
if you if you know your car was meant to run.

Speaker 7 (01:58:23):
Out you talk about the breakdown of, fluids and mostly
it's going to be due to. Heat but oil sitting
in a can or a plastic bottle is good for how?

Speaker 3 (01:58:33):
LONG i, mean have a.

Speaker 6 (01:58:35):
Data i'm also talking about a sealed, container so you
know you're no longer sealed once it's inside the, engine
and it will absorb moisture out of the air over
time compared to the Sealed, yeah it's not as bad
obviously here In colorado as it would be Saying. Florida,
yeah but it will absorb more.

Speaker 3 (01:58:51):
Shit BUT i, mean how shelf stable is? IT i mean?

Speaker 7 (01:58:54):
FOREVER i, mean my, god it's it's a. Petroleum it
comes from the. Well actually, no it's all, synthetic mostly. Synthetic, now,
yeah BUT i.

Speaker 3 (01:59:02):
Mean wouldn't you ten years for?

Speaker 6 (01:59:04):
Now would you be afraid to pick it up and use?

Speaker 8 (01:59:06):
It?

Speaker 3 (01:59:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:59:07):
Okay as far as, Towing, jeff what holds up best for?

Speaker 3 (01:59:12):
Towing what? Trucks you?

Speaker 6 (01:59:15):
KNOW i definitely like The chevy, first and then The
dodge and then The.

Speaker 3 (01:59:19):
Ford The chevy What it depends on the. Load it
depends on the.

Speaker 6 (01:59:23):
Load, YEAH i mean obviously if you're pulling a jet,
ski we're talking about something different than they got.

Speaker 3 (01:59:26):
Behind, Right, okay so depending on the. Weight but you
like you why do you Like chevy better because of the?

Speaker 6 (01:59:32):
Transmission well and quite, frankly, uh you, KNOW i prefer
The duramax over The. Ram got a lot less as
far as the maintenance and the cost is going to
be concerned when it comes to, prepare they're both pretty
equal as far as strength is. Concerned you, know all
the manufacturers like to claim we've got the, biggest baddest
truck out. There, well the other two manufacturers don't lay

(01:59:53):
down and, go, WELL i guess it's. Over you, know
they're going to come out with the, next latest and.

Speaker 5 (01:59:57):
Greatest somebody wants to know WHAT suv do you think
would be the lowest cost of ownership if they were
going to keep it for a long? Time For Runner
tesla MODEL, Y, well that's true, TOO i MEAN i guarantee.

Speaker 3 (02:00:09):
It or THE. X why'd you say THE? Hy you
mean THE? X The y's got like almost zero. Maintenance
THE x you're going to have a little. Bit why the?
WHY i MEAN i don't know.

Speaker 7 (02:00:18):
That why doesn't have for, example falcon? Doors it can
break that could cost you twenty?

Speaker 3 (02:00:23):
Grand, Okay but.

Speaker 6 (02:00:25):
Hey they SAID suv, though didn't?

Speaker 5 (02:00:27):
They?

Speaker 7 (02:00:28):
Yeah They, well hold, ON i wanted to ask.

Speaker 3 (02:00:31):
SOMETHING i go back to this oil Because i'm stuck on.

Speaker 7 (02:00:33):
It if you put oil in a fixed wing like
a little, cessno and it does it go by hours
or do you have to change it goes by? Hours
so it could sit there for ten.

Speaker 5 (02:00:44):
Years, no, no it goes both ghosts, both but mainly
and and that's a good question because a lot of
people don't fly that, much so they say on the
newer oil, synthetically.

Speaker 3 (02:00:56):
You don't fly that little one. Alive well LATELY i
have been trying. To but you're. Right so synthetic, oils
they say you can sit a. Year that's.

Speaker 5 (02:01:06):
It though a, Year well that's what they say for,
aircraft But i'm telling you that they probably can sit way.

Speaker 3 (02:01:12):
LONGER i mean.

Speaker 6 (02:01:13):
Probably they're gonna put an over abundant of caution when
it comes to that.

Speaker 7 (02:01:17):
Airplane, yeah it's technically by. Hours, yeah that's. Right how
about on your, helicopter is there even an oil?

Speaker 3 (02:01:23):
Change?

Speaker 5 (02:01:24):
Yeah there, are BUT i don't fly enough to get
that oil change in a, year so it's done on
annual because.

Speaker 3 (02:01:31):
The hours forced to do it on the.

Speaker 5 (02:01:33):
Annual, yeah BECAUSE i don't. FLY i MEAN i fly
a lot for a private, guy but not near that.
Oil you can put one hundred hours on, it and
on the fixed wing you can put. FIFTY a lot
of the guys that are anal like Like jeff wants
to change oil every five thousand. Miles it's as opposed
to what the manufacturer. Says some manufacturers are going to

(02:01:56):
ten thousand now and twelve. Thousand so in my, AIRPLANE
i would do twenty five hours at the most or
once a. Year so it really depends on common. Sense
it depends on how it's being soreed.

Speaker 3 (02:02:07):
To you, know we're.

Speaker 5 (02:02:08):
Spoiled we're spoiled In colorado because things that are stored
don't take on.

Speaker 7 (02:02:13):
Moisture, yeah a lot. Different, well same with. Russ we
just simply don't really have it and wash your.

Speaker 5 (02:02:19):
Car and also when you have jet fuel for the,
helicopter the jet fuel doesn't go. Bad you know what's
amazing to? Me right Jet it JUST i mean it's.
Kerosene it doesn't go. Bad, Right go with a sure

THAT i have for our car. People what performance upgrades
can you get relatively? Low and, like how hard is
it to add turbo charging to a car.

Speaker 6 (02:03:28):
That's a little bit of a, Project so that's not
something what about?

Speaker 3 (02:03:31):
Supercharge same, thing that's even more.

Speaker 6 (02:03:32):
So, Yeah, okay SO i, mean you, know as far
as the Average, joe and it's real common and you
AND i were talking about it earlier with like cold air.

Speaker 3 (02:03:39):
Intakes, well so that's the next.

Speaker 6 (02:03:41):
Question that's that's one of the more simple ones where
we can just change.

Speaker 3 (02:03:44):
What a cold air intake look. Like does it look
different on a? Car does it alter the?

Speaker 6 (02:03:49):
Car, No, well it's not gonna look different on the. Outside,
okay it's literally changing the air filter system so that
you're gathering in more and cooler.

Speaker 3 (02:03:56):
Air and that's under the.

Speaker 6 (02:03:57):
Hood it's under the. Hood, yeah so you would take
out your your current air, filter, right and this goes
in its. Place some of them are what makes it
cold at because just from how it's drawn the, air so.

Speaker 3 (02:04:10):
It doesn't seem like it'd be terribly expensive to add
to a car or.

Speaker 6 (02:04:13):
Not, NO i mean some of. Them you, know WHEN
i first did it to my, TRUCK i think the
whole package, was you, know roughly about two hundred and
fifty three hundred.

Speaker 3 (02:04:20):
Bucks does it add horsepower a little?

Speaker 6 (02:04:22):
BIT i mean it's. Negligible it's not like now all
of a sudden you're going to beat your your high competitor.

Speaker 5 (02:04:27):
Racer, okay and then, well tuning a, car what did
they mean by?

Speaker 6 (02:04:34):
That we're probably talking Without foyd the.

Speaker 3 (02:04:36):
Warranty they're probably.

Speaker 6 (02:04:37):
About custom tunes because we can get.

Speaker 3 (02:04:39):
In what does that mean that we can program cars.

Speaker 6 (02:04:41):
Now so that you literally go in and you change
parameters where.

Speaker 3 (02:04:45):
The car is going to work a lot like how it.

Speaker 6 (02:04:47):
Shifts it can be how it, Shifts it can be
the spark, curve it can be the fuel. Delivery you
can change everything in. There it's very, common, uh in
a lot of. Places now we got away from, It
i'm going to go back to A chevy. Truck the
six speed transmission they had a high failure rate because
they would bring on The torqueverter, clutch which is inside
the torque verter locks at one to one for fuel economy. Purposes,

(02:05:09):
yes they would turn that on as early as second,
gear put a tremendous amount of stress on, it and
they had common common, failures well common for guys to
go in and reprogram it so that it would set
a parameter where it was impossible for The torquevert clutch to.
Achieve so i. E you're in second gear doing three
hundred and fifty miles an, hours you can go ahead
and apply the clutch and they would do that until

(02:05:31):
you got to fourth maybe even fifth.

Speaker 3 (02:05:32):
Gear and does you avoid the? Warranty it will.

Speaker 6 (02:05:34):
Avoid the warranty if the manufacturer finds. Out the reason
we got away from it is there was threats that
THE epa was going to start cracking down on shops
doing it because we were messing around with fuel.

Speaker 5 (02:05:44):
Economies so but, Okay but as far as as far
as tuning does or like a, cold does it improve
that the speed or the efficiency.

Speaker 6 (02:05:59):
You've got a GOOD. O, yes they most definitely. Can
now that being, said make sure your guy knows what
he's doing because it can go the other way. Too
you can definitely hurt.

Speaker 3 (02:06:07):
Yourself are they on?

Speaker 6 (02:06:08):
Chips it's not like the older ones where you would
change a. Chip, no we're literally plugging in and just
like your guy who goes gets into your computer remotely
and fixes a problem in your, computer we can do.
That we tap into the car through THE obed two
port through a jbox, connector and we can change parameters on.

Speaker 5 (02:06:24):
That somebody, said you were talking about auto parts and
the difficulty in getting, them which after market after market?
Parts is there anything wrong with?

Speaker 3 (02:06:36):
THEM i. DON'T i mean it's a place on the.

Speaker 5 (02:06:38):
Part they've gotten a bad, name AND i think they've
gotten a bad name with body. SHOPS i don't think
after market car parts are necessarily in most.

Speaker 6 (02:06:49):
Cases, no they're not, bad and in some cases they're.
SUPERIOR i mean there's things that we're putting inside transmissions
that are after market because it improves Upon, okay what
we got from the.

Speaker 3 (02:06:58):
Manufacturer, Hi, alice what's going on with?

Speaker 10 (02:07:00):

Speaker 17 (02:07:00):

Speaker 6 (02:09:35):
Cvt primarily The NISSAN cvt is the real big. ISSUE i,
MEAN i could make a living just off A nissan by.
Itself others out, THERE i, MEAN i E, HONDA i
don't Think i've seen one come inside the door. Yet, Audi,
well we don't typically see a lot Of audi's in our,
area BUT i don't hear a lot of failures on.
Them so there are CVTs out there that work, well

(02:09:55):
but The NISSAN cvt And nissan put all the eggs
in that basket has an extremely high failure.

Speaker 5 (02:10:01):
Rate And bob On korean Versus. Japanese what is more
popular on the resale, Market.

Speaker 9 (02:10:08):
Well The japanese are The toyotas and The hondas.

Speaker 3 (02:10:11):

Are and you know you can get more car for
the money if you'll. Do that's What i'm taking off
brand which is not A toyota Or, Honda so that's
an off.

Speaker 7 (02:10:27):
Brand plus the warranties on those new ones are. INSANE i,
mean my, God hondai And kia one hundred thousand mile power.

Speaker 3 (02:10:34):
Train why is.

Speaker 5 (02:10:35):
This person asking about three cylinder turbos versus? FOURS i
never even heard of a three cylinder.

Speaker 3 (02:10:40):
Engine, yeah come on right.

Speaker 6 (02:10:44):
Now first of, all three cylinder, engines we saw those
back in the Old geo metros that that's.

Speaker 3 (02:10:48):
Right well they don't make them, NOW i do make.

Speaker 6 (02:10:50):

Speaker 3 (02:11:06):
Diesel are they in? Line three? Cylinders?

Speaker 6 (02:11:09):
YEAH i don't know how you'd make a fee out
of Three, well.

Speaker 3 (02:11:11):
No you, couldn't.

Speaker 16 (02:11:14):
Of.

Speaker 3 (02:11:15):
Bob this is for, you is? It see?

Speaker 5 (02:11:17):
This this Is we could debate this a million. Miles
better to lease or to? BUY i, mean don't you
think it depends on individual circumstances or?

Speaker 3 (02:11:27):
Not you love leasing no matter? What? Why why is
that even if you're going to drive the hell out of?

Speaker 9 (02:11:32):
It so you know with the big part about leasing
is the residual. Value someone is taking a gamble on
the future value of that.

Speaker 3 (02:11:40):
Car but then you have to live within the.

Speaker 9 (02:11:42):
Lease, yeah as long as you don't exceed you know
the mileage it's written.

Speaker 3 (02:11:45):
In so what is it a high mileage? Lease the
whole deal is at is a? Mileage if you're getting
at a high mileage, lease doesn't that take the value
out of.

Speaker 9 (02:11:54):
Leasing, well you can write high mileage. Leases the reason
is WHAT i, mean a lot, Lower but so is
the value of the. Car if you owned that, car
miles depreciate it faster Than so.

Speaker 5 (02:12:03):
You're saying it wouldn't be much different than, buying but
it's you're still guarantee at the.

Speaker 9 (02:12:07):
End, yes, absolutely same, options and.

Speaker 3 (02:12:09):
So leases always give you that guaranteed.

Speaker 9 (02:12:11):
Buyout and especially the way cars are changing now we
know what they're going to be.

Speaker 3 (02:12:15):
Like but how does that?

Speaker 7 (02:12:16):
Work we have our new, vehicle we have eleven thousand
miles on it in nine.

Speaker 3 (02:12:22):
Weeks so what lease is good for? Us honest to?
God is there a seventy? Thousand how high can you
how high mile is can you put in a?

Speaker 9 (02:12:30):
Laite it depends on the. Lender so with The, tesla
you gotta go With. Tesla but Sometimes i'll just, say,
like you can't happens.

Speaker 3 (02:12:36):
Seventy but what's the highest practical lease you can?

Speaker 9 (02:12:39):
Write i've done thirty thirty five thousand my.

Speaker 5 (02:12:42):
Year, yes, okay so thirty sixty ninety one hundred and
twenty one hundred and twenty miles one, hundred twenty thousand
miles at the, end it'll be.

Speaker 3 (02:12:51):
Worthless but you're saying if you bought it would still be.

Speaker 5 (02:12:54):
Worthlesslutely but at least this is worthless with a, guarantee.

Speaker 9 (02:12:57):
And you always have the out of turning it back.

Speaker 3 (02:12:59):
In you see what he's.

Speaker 5 (02:13:00):
Saying he's saying that even though it's high and you're
gonna pay a bigger.

Speaker 3 (02:13:03):
Payment you, mean you'd still have the, guarantee the guarantee
of what of a?

Speaker 9 (02:13:06):
Buyout oh of, course and you can turn it.

Speaker 3 (02:13:09):
On it'll have some residual. Sure thank you guys for being.
