Speaker 1 (00:04):
Ripped up.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
News you don't have.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Come runs as you can. Shooter's gonna help come man,
This is the Troubleshooter Show.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
No Tom Martinez, Welcome, Welcome, my friends to the only
show of its kind. And I mean that we are
the only ones that go out and fight for you.
We try to help you out. Maybe you got a
contractor in your life that ripped you off, took money
up front and didn't do a damn thing, or did
such a bad job, didn't finish the job. We are
here to help you with anything like that. We're also
(00:44):
here to help you if you got a landlord, maybe
haven't had heat or water for a while.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
How about a bad dentist.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
We've dealt with a lot of those over the years
at Cairo practor you pretty much name it. We have
experts that help us behind the scene, one of which
is in studio today with us. A call we get
all the time, a call we get as much as
most automotive problems. I'd say auto is number one, and
(01:10):
auto is bad. A bad deal with a repair shop,
or a bad deal buying a used car or a
new car, or buying too much of the mop and
glow getting sold windshield coverage and everything else. So we
get automotive calls number one, I'd say number two contracting
in general, but inside of that.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
Subcategory, I'd say roofing.
Speaker 3 (01:34):
We get so many calls on roofers, people signing contracts
with them, especially right after a helstorm. We call them
the door knockers. They show up, They pretend they're in
the neighborhood, but honestly, their entire sales force just pulled
in from Oklahoma or Texas where the last storm was,
and now they're here because they read about and saw
(01:55):
the hell that hit Colorado and bam. The door knockers
are everywhere. They trick you into signing a contract to
get your roof done, then they overcharge you, they do
a horrible job, and then if you ever have any
warranty issues, they're already off into Florida where the hurricane
is now coming. These guys chase the storm. They're storm chasers,
(02:16):
but not the cool kind you see on Netflix. They're
the kinds they try to trick you and to spending
money with them. You imagine that, Henry Brats. Let me
ask you something, how many times you get calls for
your service?
Speaker 4 (02:29):
Side?
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Of course, you guys do new roofs, probably more than
anybody in Colorado. But people that have had work done
by some of these door knockers and they go for
some warranty issue a year later, maybe a gutter's falling
off something, and they're nowhere to be found because they're
not even in state.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Absolutely, Mark. That kind of thing happens all the time,
especially when these fly by night contractors come in, they
take care of maybe some restoration work, and then they
do a shoddy job and they leave and they don't
leave anybody behind. So we come in and we have
you know, our W two repair texts. We take care
of all kinds of you know, minor issues that most
of these companies don't even want to mess with.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
No, and I'll tell you something else. A lot of
these fly by nights they think they're everything. They think
they're God's answer to everything. And what I mean by
that is, not only are they roofers, but of course
they do gutters, and they do gutter helmets, then they do siding,
then they do painting, then they do deck work, then
they do windows. But of course they don't they farm
it out to other people they don't know, so they
(03:29):
want to.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Take every aspect of that hail.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Claim over even though they don't do it. I've never
seen Excel roofing out there trying to sell a paint job.
You guys do roofs and gutters. That's what you do, hey.
Speaker 6 (03:41):
Mark, How do these fly by night or door knockers?
What's the timeline if they do a roof and then
they're gone. How do they get paid?
Speaker 3 (03:50):
Well, they get paid right from the insurance come. I mean,
I don't know what you mean time wise. Do they
get paid before the job thoughts or after that? Well,
it depends what doorkner it is. But I'll tell you this,
and Henry knows this. Most of those salespeople they come
around selling, they get a down payment and that's their commission. Basically,
that's why they'll never let you out of a contract
(04:11):
day already paid that sales guy.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah, they get that quick commission. But to answer your question, yeah,
go ahead. There's usually the first payment from the insurance company,
so you get your your first check and then your
second check, and so sometimes there's usually the first one's
a total scam. So they'll sign the customer up, they'll
collect the first check and then they just completely disappear,
or more like a stormscheizer method. They'll come in, they'll
collect the first check up front, they'll do the work,
(04:36):
they'll then collect the depreciation. They'll wrap the whole project up.
But then they just leave town. So if there's a leak,
any warranty issues, there's no follow through on their end.
Speaker 6 (04:45):
But my question is they leave town, where does the
check go from? An insurance company does go to their
central business number. Yah, it goes to wherever their office
is if they have an office. Yeah, the door knocker
works for a company.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Some of them are massive companies that have se salesforces.
Wherever there's a storm. They just don't have anything here
in Colorado. I mean they have a corporate office or
a mailbox somewhere. I mean that's where the check goes to.
Three oh three seven one three eight two five five
three oh three Martino. By the way, we do have
one line open. Hey, Kelly, help me out here? Which
(05:19):
is the follow up? Peter in lois what is that?
Speaker 4 (05:24):
Kelly?
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Okay, she's on the phone. Do we I'm not going
to go to it because I have no idea what
it is. Hey, Dina, what's going on with you, Hey, Dina.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
Yes, I'm sorry I didn't hear my name.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
No, you're fine. What's going on? How can we help
you out?
Speaker 7 (05:43):
I booked a trip with a friend of mine to
go to Costa Rica. Then about ten days before the trip,
my tenant went ballistic. I left the home I share,
I rent a room out of my home. I left
the home in the I loved the night for my
own safety. Two days later he was served with a
(06:05):
restraining order. A week later the permanent restraining order. In
both cases, the sheriff was supposed to remove him from
the premises. It took until the twenty seventh of February
to remove him. My trip was to have started on
the twenty second. The police could not guarantee my safety,
so I couldn't get into the dwelling to get my
(06:27):
passport to be able to take the trip. And now
Fay Insurance will not pay the claim.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Now, first of all, I'm very curious on what happened.
What happened with this tenant? So you just rented a
room out in your house to this guy, right, yes,
so what happened there? I just want to know. I
know it has nothing to do with the call, but
how long were they there and what happened?
Speaker 7 (06:52):
He was here six weeks before I had the temporary
restraining order. He was meant ill and on drugs that
I was not aware of. A. Yeah, we we believed
that he was huffing because we found a lot of
empty aerosol.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Can Oh my god, that's the worst. That's the nasty stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
That's like just total brain just brain fog. It just
kills you.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
I mean, it's like huff and gasoline. That's that's crazy.
So but you couldn't get him out of there how,
But the Sheriff's finally got rid of him, and you
basically did it because you got that temporary protection order.
Did you get that order turned into a permanent protection order?
Or is this guy just gone and off to his
next party.
Speaker 7 (07:36):
No, it took the police. It took the police, the
swat team, and the fugitive team two weeks to remove
him from my premises.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
What do you mean so the swat like the swat
team actually showed up at your house to get rid
of this guy at one point? Yes, Oh my god,
talk about I think I hear about bad tenants. This
guy might be Numero Uno.
Speaker 8 (07:59):
What was he wanted it for and why did it take?
Why did the fugitive team find him? And what did
the why did the SWAT team show up?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (08:06):
What was he wanted for? If there was a fugitive
team there?
Speaker 7 (08:10):
I don't know what he was wanted for on the
fugitive Wow. The reason SWAT came out is that he
was so agitated. The police were concerned they would have
to shoot to kill and they didn't want to do that.
God worked for two weeks to get him to come
out of the house.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
Wait a minute, he was boarded up and I assume
you were out of the house, right, I was out
of that house. So he was boarded up or you
know whatever. He was locked in the house for two weeks.
Speaker 8 (08:39):
Barricaded is the term.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
I thank you.
Speaker 7 (08:42):
Yes, And he did forty thousand dollars plus of physical
damage to my home and property.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
Oh lord, did your insurance company step up on this?
Speaker 7 (08:52):
Yes, State Farm did a great job.
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Oh my god, what a crazy story. Dean. I hope
every landlord out here is listening.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
You got a background checked these wackos?
Speaker 1 (09:01):
Holy moly.
Speaker 7 (09:03):
Yeah, I learned my lesson background check, CBI checked, and check.
I can find he.
Speaker 8 (09:10):
Miss insecurity deposit as a result of.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Yeah, I hope. So so let me ask you this. Now,
let's go back to the travel insurance. So you had
a trip that you were going to go on, and
you bought travel insurance in this whole mess basically made
it to where you couldn't go on the trip.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Is that correct?
Speaker 9 (09:30):
That's correct?
Speaker 3 (09:30):
And who did you buy the travel insurance through? What's
the name of the policy?
Speaker 7 (09:36):
It was through Fay s is in Frank Aye.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Faye Travel Insurance. All right, let me put you on hold,
take this break, and I want to look something up.
Hold on that and a lot more coming up in
a second.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
All right, three oh three seven one three eight two
five five three oh three, Martino, you've been ripped off
for taking advantage of We do have one line open.
We're going to go to an update with Brad O'Brien,
but let me we're still getting that finished up. Let
me kind of dig in here with Dina by any chance,
Deputy d did you look up to that policy?
Speaker 1 (10:43):
I thought you did.
Speaker 8 (10:43):
Yeah, I sure did. I read the cover the covered events?
Speaker 3 (10:46):
So what are the covered events generally speaking, Dina? And
if you're just joining us people, Uh, basically, she purchased
travel insurance and couldn't go on the trip and they're
declining it. Most travel insurance, you basically got to have
a doctor's note.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
But what did you find out?
Speaker 8 (11:03):
Well, Mark, they're about I'd say a couple of dozen
reasons here that they cover your trip. But it would
be helpful if Diina told us whether or not they
have actually declined her claim and what reason they gave her,
and then I'll let you know if that appears.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Of ita, what what are they telling you did they
decline it and why.
Speaker 7 (11:23):
They've declined it twice the first time they said that
the vandalism was done before.
Speaker 9 (11:30):
The end of my trip, Is that correct?
Speaker 7 (11:33):
And during the time of my trip. The second time
they unied it is because he was a resident in
the home, but he was a trespasser effective the thirteenth
of February.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Oh, that's interesting.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Did you supply did you supply the criminal charges or
the police report?
Speaker 7 (11:52):
I supplied the police report. I supplied the temporary and
permanent restraining orders that both included order to remove him
from the premises.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
And then let me ask you a couple specific questions.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
What date were you supposed to leave on the trip.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
February twenty second and return on March first, in what
twentive and.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
What date did the police report? What dates on the
initial police report?
Speaker 7 (12:22):
Did police report start on the eleventh of February.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Well, that is kind of an issue because you should
have been on your trip, right, I mean, I understand
the circumstance, but I understand what they're saying.
Speaker 7 (12:33):
Yeah, I should have been on the trip on the
twenty second. So this happened nine days before I was
supposed to leave, and continued through the twenty seventh, which
was two days before I was supposed to come back.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
Oh, so you're saying that the police report is before yeah,
the date of your trip, So why why are they
declining it based upon that information.
Speaker 7 (12:55):
They're saying that he was a resident in the home
and therefore they don't have to be Hey, I'm saying
he was trespassing because he was supposed to vacate the
premises due to the restraining order.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
From what you have read, Dimitri, Yes, about this policy.
First of all, you know, does it sound like a
covered event at all?
Speaker 8 (13:17):
No? And now keep in mind, I'm not looking at
the entire policy, just to the basics. Their basic list
of what they're covering, and the closest this comes to
is an item called residence or destination becomes uninhabitable. However,
I interpret that as your destination residence becomes are inhabitable.
(13:39):
There is literally nothing in this list that can quickly
go what.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Does it cover? Give me an idea of why someone
would purchasory of.
Speaker 8 (13:45):
Death the one I just covered, complications of pregnancy, financial
default of an entity that provided the traveler traffic acts
in a quarantine or hijacking, subpoena or order to appear
and called court, called into active military duty almost done,
previously granted, the military leave revoked sickness or injury, terrorist incident,
documented theft of passport, uh felonious assault, government travel alert,
(14:09):
mandatory evacuation due to natural disaster, job termination.
Speaker 11 (14:13):
I'm the protection order.
Speaker 12 (14:16):
I mean, if you have a protection order on me
Mark and I come into our house and damage it,
I don't think they're covering it.
Speaker 8 (14:23):
Oh, but that's how. But you're probably talking about home insurance, right,
I'm talking about travel insurance.
Speaker 1 (14:30):
Yeah, this is.
Speaker 6 (14:32):
The passport.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
If she was unable to we don't We don't even
know if she was going somewhere with the passport.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
She's going to Costa Rica was so she's just going to.
Speaker 6 (14:44):
Get you have But basically he saw a passport because
he had possession and she couldn't recover.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Is that the argument you were making, Dina to him?
Speaker 7 (14:53):
That was part of my argument?
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Yeah, what did they say about that additional argument?
Speaker 7 (14:59):
They just I passed it all together and said that
I should have been able to get the passport, but
the police couldn't guarantee my safety.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Here's what I want to do on this. This is
going to be do you have the actual policy.
Speaker 7 (15:16):
Not on me at the moment.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
I want you to.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
Email us step file.
Speaker 3 (15:19):
I want you to email us a policy, and I
want to do this in two steps. I kind of
want Dmitri to look over the policy, and let's focus
on this passport part, because that was her initial argument,
she said, And if she truly couldn't get in there
to get the passport, and we have the police records
(15:40):
that can prove somehow this guy's you know, locked up
or in this house for two weeks, they're.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
Trying to get them out.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
But let's see if the argument makes any sense, and
then if so, let's have Suzanne reach out to one
of their pr reps and see if they will take
care of it. But I want to make sure the
argument that Suzanne uses is going to be valid based
upon what you read in it.
Speaker 8 (16:07):
Yeah, I have trouble visualizing how that argument could be made,
you know, properly, because during this phone call, there's absolutely
no allegation of theft of passport.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
No, she's saying it was in the house, she couldn't
get there.
Speaker 8 (16:19):
Right, But the policy clear.
Speaker 7 (16:21):
She presented me from entering the out.
Speaker 8 (16:23):
Right right, But the policy and I agree that you
weren't able to access your passport, but that's different from
theft of pastor.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
I don't know if I could. I don't know if
I agree with you there. I mean, I definitely agree
with exactly what you're saying. But if someone is blocking
you from getting your passport, I think you could argue theft.
Speaker 6 (16:42):
Yeah, I would has possession, I would love I would
love to make that argument.
Speaker 8 (16:49):
Yeah, let's just take a look at the policy.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
You got to send us the actual policy though, so
we're not just reading all the good things about the policy,
because that's basically what's on the website. We want to
I truly look at all the exclusions. That's all that
really matters here. And then even if the passport's not
the argument, we might be able to come up with
something in there that is the argument.
Speaker 8 (17:10):
Yeah, exactly, let's let's collar that policy.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
So hold on.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
I want you to give all your info to Kelly,
and then, like I said, if we can form a
rational argument or even something that might work, what we
can do is give that to Suzanne, who is very
good at drafting emails to pr people, making them understand
that we've got one hundred thousand people plus a month
(17:35):
tuning into this show and listening. And by the way,
let me ask her one more question. How much are
we talking?
Speaker 7 (17:44):
Seven thousand dollars?
Speaker 3 (17:45):
All right, yeah, well that's not huge though, I mean
we're not talking a one month European Viking cruise at
you know, fifty sixty thousand.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
I mean, that's a lot of money, don't get me wrong,
But I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
I didn't Asking them for fifty eight thousand dollars is
a lot different than asking for seven.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
That's my point there.
Speaker 8 (18:04):
Sound logic, Mark shut up?
Speaker 1 (18:06):

Speaker 15 (21:34):
Declaration that's where you've got to look to.
Speaker 16 (21:36):
Find who's responsible for, maintenance repairs and replacements.

Of each individual.

Speaker 16 (21:43):
Well does fall under limited common. ELEMENT i, mean it's

maintenance repair and replacement responsibility of the homeowner who who
(22:06):
has the use and designation of that particular common limited common.
Element so in black and, White peter is responsible as
the homeowner for that window well because it's associated with his. Unit,
NOW i understand that other units have had their window wells,

WAY i Bet brad in. There the first thing is,
mediation right or? Arbitration is there an arbitration?
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Agreement?
Speaker 15 (23:07):
Oh typically, yeah media first and.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Arbitrate, Yeah, SO i mean you might want to go
down that, road but let's even think about. That typically
an arbitration for something like, THAT i would, guess is
going to be a couple, grand, Right, Brad, sure.
Speaker 16 (23:22):
Well it doesn't have to have an attorney for, mediation
but arbitration is basically a private for trial to.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
That, yeah, yeah, yeah it's going to be at least
a couple, grand if not. MORE i guess What i'm
saying is you're going to be more out of pocket,
There and THEN i have no idea how it looks
when it comes to attorney's.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Fees so even if you end up winning.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
In either, mediation arbitration or even in, Court i'm not
even sure you'd even get anything. Back in, fact we've
seen SOME hoa docks where no matter, what THE hoa
can get repaid attorney's fees if they, win but the
person bringing the case. CAN'T i mean whether or not
that would go down with the, JUDGE i don't, know
(24:02):
BUT i mean we've read everything in these hoas over the.
Years So, peter what questions do you?
Speaker 2 (24:07):
Have?
Speaker 18 (24:10):
Mark this Is.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Lois, Hey, Lois.
Speaker 18 (24:12):
I'M i was the one that started the email string
to the management. Company, Sure october, one twenty twenty. Four,
okay it's in eleven months That i've been trying to
get them to look at the window will or give
me an idea of maintenance and that kind of. Thing
(24:32):
they've been dragging their. Feet oh, yeah they'll, look you,
know you, know the board's looking blah blah blah. Blah
and the bottom line is that then there, are of,
course there are other window wells in the neighborhood that are.
Failing and our neighbor finally got a response where the
management company has says says essentially that the window wells
are part of the homeowner's, responsibility just like What brad had.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Said, sure.
Speaker 18 (24:58):
AND i guess the problem is is That, okay now
they're telling us there we've paid for twenty years for everybody.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
Else, HEY i, know AND i get.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
It that's Where brad was saying selective. Enforcement but here's
WHAT i, think AND i understand.
Speaker 18 (25:11):
It this is where hoas and maybe even management companies
get into.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
Trouble well maybe.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
So But, lois once, AGAIN i want you to hear
real world.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Advice we've Got, BRAD i.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Understand, yeah but listen, THOUGH i think this is what,
happened and tell me if you're. Wrong AND i gathered
a lot of this from your. Husband it's a new management.
Company the old management company. Sucked they shouldn't have been
using all of your money to fix.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
These the new management company.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Probably brought it up to THE hoa and, said, hey
there's no reason to do. This in, fact it's not
even in our. Bylaws it's not even. There these people
should be paying for their Own so going, forward we're
not going to do. It So, brad let me ask
you that if that is the. Case it's a new
management company that found what was going on and corrected.
Speaker 4 (26:01):
IT i, mean when.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
You talk about selective, enforcement if going forward from the
new management, company no one's going to get.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
It, covered is that truly?
Speaker 16 (26:09):
Selective, well that's a good comment you had, that you,
KNOW i think they should really be enforcing what's in
black and. White, so, uh the homeowners argument here is
that just because because they did it for so many
years for other people that you, know other people's, expenses
that THE hua essentially waived what's in black.
Speaker 14 (26:30):
And white the requirement of the homeowner paid.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
For these kind of.
Speaker 16 (26:33):
Repairs and that's that's that's a really hard argument to.
Make if not feel doubtle to make that.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
ARGUMENT I i don't think you would. WIN i, mean, Really,
lois that's WHERE i think you're. AT i think you
would be better off just spending that money you would
be spending going to.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Arbitration i'm just repairing.
Speaker 18 (26:50):
IT i, Think, WELL i understand what you're, saying of
COURSE i. Do but the whole process of going to,
ARBITRATION i don't think that that's going to guarantee us
a positive, outcomes.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Not at all. EITHER i think it's going to be the.
OPPOSITE i don't think you're going to.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
WIN i think you're going to lose an arbitration and
you're going to be out a couple Grand, OKAY.
Speaker 18 (27:12):
I, understand and probably a window. Will and we've got
four window. Wells one is really. Poorly it is in bad. Shape,
yeah when you know, medium they're all going to be
have to be replaced over. Time i'm. SURE i Guess
i'm JUST i Guess i'm just.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Frustrated, well of course you.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
Are i'd be frustrated, too just like you made the
best argument you possibly.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
HAVE i just don't think it's a legal. Argument AND
i agree with.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
You IF i was paying for everybody else's her help
pay for them over to twenty year. Period now it's
my turn AND i don't get. Anything i'm.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Pissed but that doesn't mean it's.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Legal.
Speaker 18 (27:47):
Yeah, Absolutely and but you know what is interesting about
this is so far we have had no communication from
THE hoa board that this is going to be their, policy, going,
well why.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Don't you show up to the next board?
Speaker 18 (27:59):
Meeting, Yeah, well and then that's another problem. Too the
annual meeting for THE hoa is going to be In. November,
yeah and the board because we're a small. Neighborhood the board,
meets who knows when the communication is very very poor
in terms of when they, meet and that a board
(28:20):
meeting as a just.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
Know, well the other thing is vote their asses. OUT i,
mean if everybody feels the same way you, DO i,
mean right, now you feel the way you do because
you're up against the. Bill everybody else probably isn't it this?
Time so, well we do have.
Speaker 18 (28:33):
Other neighbors that are that are looking at, this AND
i CAN i can name five right now.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Now you should all get together then and beat these
people out and take over the board and change.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
IT i mean there's your other. Option i've been down.
Speaker 18 (28:45):
That, YES i have had that thought, of you, know
maybe a vote of no confidence or sort of at
the annual.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
Meetings, LISTEN i think WE'VE i mean we've talked about
this somewhat to.
Speaker 1 (28:58):
DEATH i, mean you've just got to the. Choice, now
are you going to move?
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Forward hired an attorney Like brad and go forward with
whatever arbitration or court if you. Can it'd be nice
if you could just bring them the small claims court on.
This But i'm telling you right NOW i don't think
you can if you read through that. DOCUMENT i don't
Think i've ever seen AN hoa where you're allowed to
see him you agree to. MEDIATION i don't Think i've
ever seen one in the past whatever amount of. Time
(29:23):
SO i, mean, really lois that's? IT i, mean or
overthrow the. Board that's your other. Option get all the
neighbors together and get down to that. MEETING i appreciate everything, Too,
brad you coming on and really taking the time to
look through that entire. Document you, know when you move
into a, condo you better think of a couple.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
Things.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
Brad how many people have called you up in the
last few. Years we know what these policies for condos have.
Speaker 1 (29:50):
Done as far as.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
Insurance so what happens when the insurance goes up a million,
bucks three million, bucks whatever it is depending on the
side of the.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
Unit what do they?
Speaker 3 (30:01):
Do they hit everybody that lives there with a what
a special? Assessment so how many people have called you
in the last few years since insurance has gotten absolutely
crazy going all of a, sudden OUR hoa dues went
from one thousand dollars a month and now they have
a special. Assessment they want us to pay thirty thousand Dollars.
Speaker 16 (30:25):
Brad, yeah it's really important when somebody buys into AN
hoa condo or town home to look at THE hoa
documents to, see if you, know look at their, financials
look at their insurance in, particular look at their deductible
on their casualty insurance policy to they have a half
million dollar deductible on hald. Claims if, so then they're
(30:46):
gonna have to hit the homeowners with a half million
dollars special.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Assessment it's, crazy.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
UNDERSTAND i guess What i'm saying, is if you're buying
a condo or a house that's in AN, hoa have
an attorney Like brad look over it so at least
you know what they hell you're up.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Against there could be a.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
Lawsuit going on in the, community but prior to you
even moving in that might not benefit.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
You it might actually cost you a.
Speaker 19 (31:09):
Fortune, yeah so it's really important to look at those
financial statements and you look at the meeting minutes to
see what kind of lawsuits might be brewing before you
buy into the.
Speaker 8 (31:23):
Community it's really.
Speaker 1 (31:24):
Important.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
People and then the other thing, is AND i talk
about this every day BECAUSE i feel so bad for
landlords OVER. COVID i personally knew two or three people
that couldn't collect rent for well over a year and
almost had to go bankrupt over because they still had
a mortgage on the.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Rental AND i do feel. Bad and now it's even.
Speaker 3 (31:43):
Crazier getting rid of a tenant is it's about the
hardest thing you can do In. Colorado even when the
lease is, up you can't get rid of the. Tenant
so if you're a landlord and you have not updated your,
lease For god's, sake Call, brad have them redo a.
Lease make sure yours is up to. Snuff so all
this sudden if you don't get paid for four or five,
months you can actually get rid of the. Deadbeat O'Brien

Stuff we had no idea what he was talking. About,
So Deputy, bow first of, all tell us what is
the situation and where are we at?

(38:12):
in this crazy. Story so we Had lee call Up.
Yesterday lee is a. Grandfather apparently his grandson was locked.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
Out this is a. Story yesterday was locked out of.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
His apartment because he lost his keyfob and the front
people at the front door would not give him another
key fob to get into his. Apartment So Deputy bow
reached out and figured out that this guy actually he
got evicted from the, apartment, Right Deputy.
Speaker 14 (38:41):
Bow, yes he's evicted on the twenty fath.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
So he shouldn't even be in, there but all of
his stuff is still in, there, Right and then he.
Speaker 15 (38:51):
Just needed access to get his stuff moved, out and
they would not allow him back. In SO i did.
Speaker 14 (38:58):
Make a deal with the manager.
Speaker 15 (39:01):
There they said If lee the grandfather would come into
the property with this, smartphone that they would program the
fob and To lee the grandfather's, phone and as long
As lee is being would go with his, grandson that
they would allow them. Access AND i called this morning
to follow up and they.
Speaker 14 (39:21):
Did lee came in last.
Speaker 15 (39:22):
Night they pulled grandpob in and they're moving their stuff
out as we. Speak AND i also am going to
Help lee's grandson find another apartment that accepts vouchers for
mentally challenge.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
People did you talk To lee at?
Speaker 5 (39:38):
All?
Speaker 3 (39:40):
All, Right i'm, sorry did you talk to the grandson at?
All what's your grandson's?
Speaker 14 (39:43):
Name by the, way the grandson is Named.
Speaker 15 (39:46):
Micah And lee did not really want me to just
talk to.
Speaker 3 (39:50):
ME i wonder how bad he. Is he was, like
he's suffering from, psychosis AND i was, like, wow and.
Speaker 14 (39:57):
Bipolar AND i believe he did cause this the.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
Apartment, yeah they said he kept the Bath his grandfather
actually acknowledged. HE i guess kept the bath tub On
how does he how does he destroy five? Fobs did
you find that?
Speaker 15 (40:09):
Out, YES i, ASKED i guess he gets frustrated and
he takes it out into the parking lot or whatever
and just break.
Speaker 3 (40:17):
Them, man be careful finding this guy a new. Apartment
i'd hate for. Somebody you. KNOW i know you've got
a bunch of. Rentals you think you're doing them a,
favor and next thing you, know this guy's messing up their.
House But, bo what a great job you. Did, Man these,
guys that's what this shows. About this call right here
is what this show's. About here's someone that literally couldn't
get in get their, stuff mentally challenged to say the,
(40:39):
least AND bo got to figure it.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Out and they're there getting their stuff right. Now this
is what we.
Speaker 15 (40:43):
Do, yeah as we, see we're getting it.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
Done, Thanks Deputy. Bow we really appreciate everything you. Do
three oh three, seven, one three eight two five. Five
we're gonna have two lines. Open Now i'm going to
go to, uh who's been holding the longest by one?
Speaker 1 (40:57):
Minute, Carrie, carrie what's going? On?
Speaker 20 (41:01):
Hi, well thank you so much for having me on the.
Speaker 6 (41:03):
Show.
Speaker 20 (41:03):
Sure, Well i've been dealing With hyundai Of napleton up
in Then Palm. Beach so around The september of last,
YEAR i bought a brand new twenty twenty Four Hundai.
SONATA i got the upgraded package with all the bells and.
WHISTLES i bought the extended. INSURANCE i bought the extended tire.
Speaker 3 (41:24):
Insurance, yeah they sold you all the mop and. GLOW
i wouldn't be too proud of, that BUT i get.
You you bought.
Speaker 20 (41:29):
Everything, WELL i keep my cars for like eighteen to twenty.
Speaker 9 (41:33):
Years oh my.
Speaker 20 (41:34):
Goodness, okay, yeah and what state.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
Did you buy this?
Speaker 17 (41:38):
In this Is.
Speaker 1 (41:40):
Florida gotta keep.
Speaker 20 (41:41):
Going so when, now little, BACKGROUND i worked on the
super yachts for the last ten, years SO i can
detail the exterior of a yacht with pristine. Precision so
WHEN i bought the car and they brought it out
to me after it was, washed it was dirty AND
i saw it, immediately AND i was, like what are
all these?
Speaker 21 (41:58):
Spots and they're, like, oh, well when.
Speaker 20 (42:00):
They clean, it but they don't detail. It i'm, LIKE
i just spent thirty five thousand dollars for a. Car
you think they could have dried off the water. Spots
and they were, like oh, no, no so sorry about.
That we'll give you a free xylotol coating and if
you don't, know that's that clear coating that helps protect
the paint down here In. Florida sure one thousand dollars,
VALUE i, said, Sure SO i dropped the car. Off
(42:20):
the car still has less than one hundred.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
Miles sounds like even more mop and, glow but keep.
Speaker 20 (42:24):
GOING i didn't have to pay for, it so that's.
Speaker 22 (42:27):
Good.
Speaker 7 (42:28):
YEAH i picked the car.
Speaker 17 (42:30):
Up.
Speaker 8 (42:30):
Now it was that.
Speaker 20 (42:31):
Night it was underneath an awning with, lights and IMMEDIATELY
i see white spots all over the, car and which
looks to me like it's foam from like, soap maybe
if you're washing a car, nearby and some of the
little sprinkles went in the air like landed on the
car or a.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
Car, wash or like when you get out of a
car wash and it doesn't do a good job of rinsing.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
It you see those little dots.
Speaker 20 (42:57):
Exactly but these were extensive and they were all. Over
they're on the black, sunroof there's on the sunroof white.
Spot SO i immediately pointed it out to my salesman
and he was, like what do you mean what? Spot
AND i was, like trust. Me and then once they
started to, see they brought out the sales, guy they
brought out the detailer and they're all, like, oh, well
we can take it across the street and have them
(43:17):
buff it. Out i'm, like are you in? Fame this
is a brand new. Car, no you're not going to do.
Speaker 21 (43:23):
That you're gonna.
Speaker 20 (43:24):
Fix you're gonna give me another.
Speaker 4 (43:25):
CAR i don't know what you're going.
Speaker 20 (43:26):
To, do but we're going to fix.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
It, hey let Me.
Speaker 3 (43:28):
CLAIRE i want TO i want to clarify something this.
Car did you even leave the dealership at this? Point
you went, in you went through, financing they sold you
all the mop and, Glow you own, it you have the.
Keys did you leave and come back or did this
all transspire in one day where they added this xylophone
or whatever you called what happened?
Speaker 20 (43:49):
THERE i left for a couple of days and came.
Back the car still had about under one hundred.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
Miles on, It SO i got you, So but when
you came back is when they did that second treatment that.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
Paint it was the first.
Speaker 20 (44:02):
TREATMENT i dropped it off a couple of days AFTER
i bought, it and THEN i came back a couple
of days later to pick it.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
UP i guess, What i'm trying to figure out what
the white dots we're talking about?
Speaker 1 (44:12):
Now did? They were they always?
Speaker 3 (44:14):
There or was it because of the treatment they, did
the three thousand dollars zyla fall or whatever it, was.
Speaker 20 (44:22):
It was from the, treatment, okay because you could see
it wasn't.
Speaker 21 (44:25):
Part of the.
Speaker 20 (44:25):
Paint there were literally white bone like spots all over the.
Speaker 1 (44:30):
Car so they can't get rid of.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
Those is your contention that they can't get rid of,
Them they can't be buffed, out they can't be cleaned.
Speaker 20 (44:37):
Off, well from my, experience just from having Cars i'm
in my fifty is that you can't take a brand
new car buffet and put some new paint on, it
and then in five years time In, florida those two
paints aren't going to. Match because imagine this car is
at twenty twenty four at the end of the, year
so it's been sitting in the sun already for a.
(44:58):
Year so if you try to buff it out and
put the same color on at the, shop that's not,
factory it's not going to, match and it's certainly going
to not match in a few years with The Florida.
Sun SO i was not going to let them do
that to my. Car it's a brand new, car all.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
Right hold, On, henry hold, On, henry what were You
you were acting like you know what this is or?
Speaker 4 (45:16):
What, YEAH i was just going to make a. Comment
SO i have a BLACK amg AND i really struggle
with all the hard water spots and everything on that.
Car but you know What i've found IS i can
do a dcon wash and THEN i can also use
clay bar do a paint correction and then go on
top of that with a ceramic coat and it usually
lasts a couple years doing that ceramic. Coat AND i
(45:39):
don't have any. Issues SO i guess my confusion is
are you looking to get the car repainted OR i,
mean why don't you just paint corrected or ask for a?
Voucher what are?
Speaker 1 (45:49):
They what do you want? Done and what are they
willing to do?
Speaker 20 (45:54):
Well the problem is is it was late at night
and everybody saw all the, spots and they'd, say call
in the morning and we'll get this. Handled we'll figure something.
Out SO i called in the morning and they transder
me to a. VOICEMAIL i left the. VOICEMAIL i waited
maybe five or six, days never heard. Anything so this
TIME i got the name of a gentleman AND i eatn't,
answer SO i left it on his, voicemail and then
(46:16):
AGAIN i got no, response AND i kept texting my. Salesman,
light look.
Speaker 4 (46:21):
Where are we?
Speaker 1 (46:21):
Going where's it?
Speaker 17 (46:22):
At?
Speaker 2 (46:22):
NOW i have the.
Speaker 20 (46:25):
Car at this, POINT i have the.
Speaker 3 (46:26):
Car, no BUT i want to go back to the.
QUESTION i, asked what do you want? Done and what
are they willing to do?
Speaker 20 (46:34):
Well at the, time the car has less than one hundred,
Miles So i'm, like you're going to take this car
back and you're going to give me one that's not,
damaged exact same car that's not. Damaged they damaged it
when they did the. Overspray somebody inexperience obviously or.
Speaker 3 (46:48):
Something oh, kay we don't have To, Okay so NOW
i understand what you. Want you want them to take
that you want him to reverse the deal and basically
get you a different? Car what are they willing to?
Speaker 23 (46:57):
Do called me?
Speaker 1 (47:00):
Back so they still haven't called you? Back, WELL i.
Speaker 20 (47:04):
Went To Hundi corporate And Hundai corporate, said, okay we'll
contact them for. You for about six or eight, Months
Hundi corporate would call me once a. Month have they
contacted you?
Speaker 1 (47:12):
Know they have?
Speaker 21 (47:13):
Not have they?
Speaker 20 (47:14):
Contact so we went through it's all documented With Hyundai.
Corporate and then about three or four months, Ago hundai, said,
well they're not responding to, us so we're just going
to close the. Case And i'm, like, What, No, like.
Speaker 7 (47:24):
What are you?
Speaker 20 (47:25):
Doing you can't just nobody has ever. Responded so FINALLY
i drove up to the dealership because it's about two
hours north of. ME i got the guy wouldn't come.
Speaker 15 (47:34):
OUT i, said, Well i'll just.
Speaker 20 (47:35):
Stay here UNTIL i see him. LEAVE i was not,
leaving and so then they Realized i'm. Spearious Yeah i'm not.
Leaving and the guy finally comes.
Speaker 15 (47:44):
Out he was so.
Speaker 20 (47:45):
Condescending, yeah but what?
Speaker 4 (47:47):
Happened what did he?
Speaker 1 (47:48):
Say did he tell you to pound? Sand is that
where we're.
Speaker 20 (47:51):
Going so he looked at me LIKE i was a,
cute dumb girl who didn't know WHAT i was talking.
About he treated me so. Bad and he looks at
the white spots on it on the black sun. Roof,
yeah and he, goes, oh, well that's obviously acid. Rain
AND i just looked at him like what so, yeah
(48:12):
acid rain just in those few just in that one.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
Area Carry, CARRIE i, swear just please. ANSWER i got
to take a. Break, okay it's only a four hour.
Show so let me ask you. This what are they
willing to, do if? Anything or are they telling you
to pound?
Speaker 5 (48:27):
Sand they told ME i have to make a.
Speaker 20 (48:30):
Factory paint warranty and they'll redo the whole paint on
the hood and they'll.
Speaker 7 (48:35):
Touch up all the.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Spots, okay BUT i have.
Speaker 20 (48:37):
To put it under a factory paint. WARRANTY i, said absolutely.
Not it's a brand new.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
Car wait, wait what's wrong with that? Though but who
cares if you have? To if they're going to pay
for it and you're gonna get it, done it's going
to be a new paint.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Job who cares if it's under the factory. WARRANTY i
THINK i Understand we're only going to paint the Hood,
Carrie carrie's five.
Speaker 20 (48:58):
Years that will not match the of my car because
it's not going to be the same color because the
car has been sitting in the sun for two. Years
at this, Point my.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
GOD i don't know if you have any kind of
leg to stand on with.
Speaker 8 (49:11):
This has this been going on for two years?
Speaker 3 (49:14):
Now, no she's, saying because she bought a, leftover because
let me put you on, HOOKS i got to take this.
Break but because she bought a twenty four and twenty,
five it was already sitting on the lot in the
sun for a. Year that's what she's, saying even though
it was brand, new had been sitting.
Speaker 4 (49:28):
There.
Speaker 8 (49:28):
Mark it would also be interesting to find out how
many spots are we talking, about and what is there
to do you?
Speaker 3 (49:33):
Have i'd love to get pictures of. This is there
any pictures you could send? Us it'll make any sense to?
Speaker 20 (49:38):
Us, yeah where DO i send?
Speaker 1 (49:42):
It hold, On, kelly let's get those. PICTURES i, MEAN
i want to see what she's talking.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
About at this.
Speaker 3 (49:47):
POINT i understand her, frustration but if they're willing to
repaint it and make it look, good, NOW i don't
know if the argument that, is, well if they're not
going to, paint they're only going to paint the hood
and touch up some other.
Speaker 1 (49:59):
Stuff and in five, years BECAUSE.
Speaker 3 (50:02):
I keep my car for twenty years or, whatever she,
said you, know the side of the car is going
to be a different color because it sat out for
a year than the hood they got painted this.
Speaker 1 (50:11):
Year, wow that's kind of a, stretch don't you.
Speaker 8 (50:13):
Think, Yeah and are these spots caused by this xylotol xylotol?
Speaker 1 (50:18):
Phone she says they had to.
Speaker 8 (50:20):
Be she, says she has to be or something near
by got oversprayed onto her.
Speaker 3 (50:24):
Vehicle what's really funny is when it first started the,
conversation if we go back in, time AND i want
you thinking about this stuff when we come Back, gary
when you started the, conversation you went to pick it
up and you saw little, spots and then that's when they, said,
oh they didn't dry it off, Right and you're, LIKE
i bought a thirty four thousand dollars. Car so then
they agreed to give you this free thousand dollars xylotol
(50:47):
or whatever it is.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
Coating and then when you came to pick it up
from the. Coating you saw the white spots, again SO
i don't know if the white spots were always there
or if it was from there based upon what you.
Said hold on.

is your question on a roof? Deck sean going Ones
sean going, twice see if you can get him back. Up,
(52:15):
KELLY i don't know what do you think he means
by a roof deck the decking or do you think
he means literally putting a deck on a.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
ROOF i don't know what the question. Meant so the proper.
Speaker 4 (52:26):
Term for the roof, DECK i mean. Decking it's a,
Decking SO i mean that would be THE osb underneath the,
shingles underneath the, underlayment and underneath the. Shingles so basically
you have.
Speaker 3 (52:38):
Shingles under the, shingles you generally have some kind of
water vapor or water, barrier and then you have your, decking,
yes and then under the decking is where you basically
have the joist to the rafters the, rafters and then
that's your.
Speaker 1 (52:51):
Roof, yep.
Speaker 4 (52:52):
Exactly SO i mean most people don't call the decking
decking by, name you, know usually homeowners don't know that. Term,
sure so he might talking about some sort of roof
deck or like some roof he's trying to turn into
a patio or.
Speaker 3 (53:04):

all on one. Side it's the whole side of the.
Speaker 4 (56:23):
House so there's no in other, words that covers.
Speaker 3 (56:26):
IT i understand THERE'S osb, there but what else is?
There you've got your decking.
Speaker 17 (56:31):
That's, yeah that's. It just that's all they got on
there IS, Osb AND i need to have.
Speaker 4 (56:36):
Something, well there's no shingles or anything like.
Speaker 17 (56:38):
That that.
Speaker 3 (56:39):

Speaker 14 (56:53):

Speaker 3 (56:56):
Sean are you meant to go outside and barbecue on?
Speaker 17 (56:59):
It, no you can walk out there and sit out
on the second. Story it's it's it's like six foot By.
Speaker 1 (57:07):
Yeah it's a flat roof. Area, so but it's not
meant to be.
Speaker 17 (57:11):
On oh it was built with the house. Originally oh my.
Speaker 1 (57:16):
GOD i almost feel Like i'm not.
Speaker 3 (57:18):

Speaker 1 (57:45):
About very.
Speaker 4 (57:46):
CONFUSED i think it's AN epdm cover over his, porch
But i'm not.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
Sure it's not something you're supposed to be out walking.
Speaker 8 (57:53):
ON i don't think you can walk on. That you're
just not supposed to barbecue on.
Speaker 1 (57:57):
It, well, OKAY i mean come, on we're going to
get the ads and pull it. UP i MEAN i started,
thinking is my brain not working because here's a problem
with the phones in the, Meantime real, Quick, CARRIE i
want to ask you about those pictures you. Sent so
how big is that? Area it's not very? Big well
(58:19):
it's what does that? Mean twelve inches? Square what is?
Speaker 4 (58:24):
It how?
Speaker 1 (58:24):
Big is it about.
Speaker 20 (58:26):
The size of a?
Speaker 2 (58:26):
Pee? No, no you know it's going to happen on
other spots on the.
Speaker 5 (58:32):
Car are you.
Speaker 8 (58:33):
Related to a collar with a roofing?
Speaker 3 (58:35):
Deck the picture you sent? Us the picture you sent. Us,
yes we can see the dots you're talking. About and
in one of those pictures it almost looks like a
chip or a circular. Issue are we on the same?
Page that, photo in its, entirety in real, life represents
(58:59):
twelve inches what.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
The size of a?
Speaker 20 (59:04):
P about the diameter of a.
Speaker 1 (59:05):
P you're telling, me you're telling me that you zoomed
in on the size of a. Pe and that's What
i'm looking at in that.
Speaker 8 (59:18):
Picture, mark it might be a ginormous.
Speaker 1 (59:20):
P carrie carry are? You are you dead?
Speaker 4 (59:24):
Serious?
Speaker 1 (59:25):
That, literally that entire, photograph not each individual little, dot
not the thing that looks like a. Chip that entire
picture represents two.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
Millimeters you, KNOW i don't.
Speaker 20 (59:40):
Know you guys are seeing the full picture, here the whole. Car,
okay first of, all they never called me back for a.
Year now That's i'm.
Speaker 1 (59:52):
Just trying to understand this.
Speaker 11 (59:53):
Picture the whole car.
Speaker 20 (59:56):
Is sprayed with little white dots like. That so one is,
chipping and that chip happened a few months. Ago that's
WHEN i really started going down this, this you, know
that's WHEN i really started being, like now there's it's.
Chipping which how big is?
Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
That how big is that?
Speaker 20 (01:00:10):
Chip it just looks like a few, scratches, Right LIKE i,
said it's throw on the diameter of of a of
A p maybe a little bit bigger and that and
that's about the size of the. Spot the spot was
about that, size and a lot of the spots are
about that, size maybe a little bit.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
Bigger so You so if you sent me a picture
of this hood from let's, SAY i don't know four
feet back of the entire, hood WOULD i see any of?
Speaker 8 (01:00:36):
This?
Speaker 20 (01:00:37):
Possibly but why would that?
Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
Matter, Well i'm.
Speaker 3 (01:00:40):
Just Because i'm truly trying to understand what we're dealing with.
HERE i see all the, dots AND i agree with,
you even if it is the size of a.
Speaker 1 (01:00:47):
BEE i, mean it's pretty it's pretty.
Speaker 4 (01:00:50):
Strange are the dots eating through the clear coat and
causing that? Chipping?
Speaker 20 (01:00:56):
No, no the dots were under the clear.
Speaker 21 (01:00:58):
Coat that's the.
Speaker 20 (01:00:58):
Point oh hair coat. On they they're somehow. Left they
saying it looks like somebody might have been washing the car,
nearby and like SuDS got on the car and they
didn't see. IT i don't really.
Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
Know hold, ON i can't you.
Speaker 20 (01:01:12):
Guys the point is it's a brand new car that they.
Ruined it doesn't matter how big the spot. Is this
Is this is HOW i feel Like i'm talking to huntin,
Now like it's, like does anybody not care of the?
Wrongdoing AND i paid all but eight thousand dollars off
on that. Car do you know HOW i feel about?
This right?
Speaker 1 (01:01:30):
Now i'm getting the. IDEA i, mean.
Speaker 20 (01:01:34):
It's not good and you guys are on their. SIDE i,
mean if this happened to you on a brand new
car and and and they ignored you for a year.
Speaker 8 (01:01:41):
And it's been, CHIPPING i would not be, Happy.
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
Harry i'm not SAYING i wouldn't be, upset But i'm
just still. Baffled this is the size of a p
this entire. PHOTOGRAPH i just can't believe. IT i can't believe.
Speaker 20 (01:01:55):
It is that, good or can't believe what That i'm
upset about.
Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
It, WELL i guess What i'm trying to understand is
this picture that you said that's. Microscopic, basically you're saying
the entire car is like, this though.
Speaker 20 (01:02:09):
It's not chipping just. Yet but that's WHAT I that's
what the point is is that they're not gonna. Come
they're not gonna help me when they would if.
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
They would, repaint if they would repaint the entire.
Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
Car under, warranty if we were to call and get that,
done would that make it?
Speaker 20 (01:02:25):
OKAY i would be happy with, That but they weren't
going to do. It they could and then touch up the.
Speaker 3 (01:02:32):
Car we're talking to manufacturer's. Warranty if we can Get
honda to pay for a paint, job you'd be, happy, Right.
Speaker 20 (01:02:40):
Yes, SIR i would be very.
Speaker 15 (01:02:42):
HAPPY i think.
Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
That's what we.
Speaker 3 (01:02:43):
Do we reach out and just see If hondi will do.
It maybe send them these. Pictures they already have a case,
number AND i think your original email had the case.
Speaker 20 (01:02:52):
NUMBER i sub it from me because that's WHEN i
went To Hundi. Corporate they gave me that.
Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
CASE i. Know i'm, saying we have something to reference
though they know what we're talking.
Speaker 3 (01:03:02):
About, yeah so let's see if they can't do, That
deputy d you want to do?
Speaker 17 (01:03:07):
That.
Speaker 8 (01:03:07):
Yeah in, fact Before carrie even came on the, AIR i.
EMAILED i sent two emails to her contact At Hyundai
good AND i got some kind of an automated response that,
says we got your message and we'll be in touch
with you. Shortly.
Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
Yeah when we reach out through and one of the
Things demitrio will do is maybe ask this, Person, hey
you know we're with the radio station blah blah, blah
and maybe you need to put us in touch with
a pr to get them on in other, words we
can light a little fire here and let's see what
they're willing to.
Speaker 4 (01:03:34):
Do BUT i.
Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
Hate to beat a dead, horse BUT i, Truly, Carrie
i'm not doing this to irritate. You we're going to
try to help. You BUT i still don't think we're communicating.
Properly this picture you sent, me you're telling me literally
BECAUSE i see, like is that your house or a
building kind of in the shadow on?
Speaker 9 (01:03:53):
There, NO i JUST.
Speaker 20 (01:03:56):
I didn't doom. IN i just LITERALLY i just took
a close up up the. Picture But i'm standing in
front of my.
Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
Car, now would you send us a picture Of, yeah
send us a picture of the entire? Hood would you
please do?
Speaker 3 (01:04:07):
That, Okay, yeah and then hold, on we're gonna make

it is kind of. Interesting it's not a deck like
it's got a roof over, it so you definitely wouldn't
barbecue on. It but, basically it's a two story. House
you can walk out on the second. STORY i assume
that's his possibly his, bedroom the master bedroom or something up.
(01:06:02):
There but you can walk out onto a nice. DECK i,
mean that's. It and he's saying what was he? Saying
the material WAS osb and it's starting to get saturated with.
Water i'd be curious What Mark schamansky would suggest on,
that because he builds decks for a.
Speaker 1 (01:06:19):

and Then, brian what is going on with?
Speaker 4 (01:07:00):
You?
Speaker 5 (01:07:01):
Man thanks for having me on you got. It just
had a question on what like an insurance company can
dictate like per year property what They let's just, SAY
i have a so my mom AND i took over
(01:07:22):
my grandparents', house which was her parents'. House there was a,
tetrapond and my grandfather put in like a little like
wheelhouse next to. It it's been there for what i'd,
say thirty.
Speaker 1 (01:07:37):
Years what terminology did you just? Use a tetra?
Speaker 5 (01:07:41):
Pond, yeah it's like a little face pond is a?
Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
Tetrapond, okay it's a little. Fish how big is? It
like five hundred? Gallons what are we talking? Here water
size or feature?
Speaker 5 (01:07:53):
Size it's like a, no it's probably like maybe three hundred. Gallon,
OKAY i get, it, BIG i get.
Speaker 1 (01:08:02):
It it's not that, Big so go. Ahead what happened to?
Speaker 5 (01:08:05):
It, no nothing's happened to. It so the insurance company
all stay they weren't supposed to, do and expects you Until.
September apparently they decided they were going to do it early.
Whatever they had somebody out here taking. Pictures then they
did a drone fly, by sure taking.
Speaker 1 (01:08:28):
Pictures did you Get are they canceling you?
Speaker 5 (01:08:32):
There they're wanting to because they're saying that the little
wheelhouse has been there for over thirty? Years, yeah is
a fire?
Speaker 1 (01:08:41):
Nazard what does the wheelhouse look? Like describe that to?
Speaker 5 (01:08:45):
Me it's just like an old time Like East coast
type little wheelhouse that my granddad. Built then he put
it next to the tetrapon and water runs through it
and it spends the.
Speaker 4 (01:08:56):
Whill how big is?
Speaker 5 (01:08:57):
It it's probably.
Speaker 1 (01:09:00):
Two and a half feet like something on, it like
a miniature golf.
Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
Course.
Speaker 5 (01:09:06):
Correct, yeah it's not that, big and they.
Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Really Can why would? That why would that be a fire?
Hazard is here electricity running to?
Speaker 5 (01:09:15):
IT i am, No well it's. No the only thing
that spends it is the water from the tetrapond that.
Speaker 4 (01:09:23):
And it's two feet.
Speaker 5 (01:09:24):
Tall it's not that.
Speaker 3 (01:09:27):
Big well, okay well let me ask you this just common.
Sense if you got rid of, that they wouldn't cancel.
Speaker 5 (01:09:31):
You is that? Correct, well there's also other things they're,
saying LIKE i have a car and in the front
and driveway That i'm putting the motor. In, yeah they're
SAYING i can't have that. There well why CAN'T?
Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
I but you'll be property but you'll be getting rid
of that Right.
Speaker 5 (01:09:49):
Yeah WHEN i get the motor put. In but they're
SAYING i have to cover it up and get rid
of it or get rid of. It, Okay and THEN
i have we're on we're in black forest here in Car. Springs,
yeah we have five.
Speaker 1 (01:10:04):
Acres, YEAH i gets.
Speaker 3 (01:10:05):
You and they had a huge fire not long, ago,
CORRECT i get. It so first of, all they don't
have to cover. You they have to cover you for
the time the policy is in, effect and generally on
homeowners that's one, year so it's up to them if
they want to renew or. Not so it really doesn't
matter if it's your home or not because they don't
have to cover.
Speaker 1 (01:10:25):
You so a couple.
Speaker 3 (01:10:27):
Things, ONE i don't know why you wouldn't reshop and
see if you could find other. Insurance but if all
we're talking about is that little, FEATURE i, mean if
you removed it and put it in the garage and
put the car in the, garage does that solve these?
Problems then after they renew, you you can move the
(01:10:49):
car back out to the driveway and put the feature back.
Speaker 5 (01:10:52):
ON i just didn't. Understand over thirty years of being
insured with my grandparents they had the Same but it doesn't.
Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
Matter but, but but your question doesn't.
Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
MATTER i don't know why all of a sudden they,
care but it doesn't. Matter they do not have. To
there's no law that Says State farm or whomever we're talking,
about has to Ensure.
Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
Brian they don't have.
Speaker 3 (01:11:19):
To they have to give you the coverage they agree
to for the amount of time they agree, to and
generally that's that one year, period but they don't have
to do anything going. Forward they could have even came
out and, said, hey look you're in the black. Forest
we just don't even want to touch this house. Anymore, Correct,
well did you try to get other? COVERAGE i, MEAN
(01:11:41):
i don't Like State farm to begin with unless they're
the only ones that or all state hold On. BRIAN i,
Mean i'll get one of our insurance experts, up but
i'd like to know if you've even shopped. Around let's
Get brian From compass up to talk To brian with
the insurance. Question hold on, everybody and then, uh we're
(01:12:02):
gonna Get Mark schamansky on hopefully.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):

Better we got a few things in the hop right
now we're working, on BUT i want to talk To
Henry brett's really. Quick he's With Excel. Roofing, henry you
guys got a. Special what is the? Special my?
Speaker 4 (01:13:30):
Friend we are running a. Special can you hear?
Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
ME i got you.
Speaker 4 (01:13:34):
Sweet so what we're doing is we got some really
heavy rain around the front range last night and we're
gonna do two hundred dollars off any leak.
Speaker 1 (01:13:42):
Repair so what generally is leaking on a roof and
it rains like?
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
CRAZY i, mean is it really just the shingles or
if it like old, shingles does it? PENETRATE i, mean typically,
speaking what is it that starts?
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
Leaking so it can be a variety of.
Speaker 4 (01:13:58):
Things it can be the, flashing like the step flashing
that go up against the, wall or the roof meets
is that a big? One that can be a big
one another really big one that's difficult to work. With or,
skylights so we see a lot of skylight. Leaks we
see a lot of flashing. Leaks and then also you know.
Gutters when a gutter gets super clogged up and that
(01:14:18):
water back flows to the, facia it gets behind the
facerboard and then trickles down and it'll show up on the.
Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
Ceiling we had a ton of rain sometime last year
AND i had you guys come. Out you did our, roof,
SO i mean everything was underworranty of, course but we
had a leak AND i was, like, gosh what could
this possibly? Be but it rained cats and. Dogs, man
you guys came. Out you know. What it ended up
being a cap on one of THE pvc pipes for
(01:14:44):
venting in the.
Speaker 1 (01:14:45):
Upstairs bathroom the.
Speaker 3 (01:14:46):
Fan the cap blew off in the wind and the
rain literally went right down to the. House, yeah and
actually just got to the dry wall in the. Bathroom
so we just had it wasn't any big. Deal we
just had to repaint it and then put a cap back.
Speaker 4 (01:15:01):
On you, know there's a lot of stuff that can
leak up on a roof, sometimes just like THAT np
one cocking when it gets old and starts to, crack
that can be a major.
Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
Issue so you guys do all repairs as. WELL i
mean a lot of roofers just do new roofs and they're.
Speaker 4 (01:15:14):
Gone, yep we do all the repairs on you, know
concrete tile as fall stone could have steal all types
of roofing. Systems we.
Speaker 1 (01:15:26):
Do, god someone do if they have you, said, uh
like let's say they've got a cement roof or maybe
is there stone? Roofs is that a real?
Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
Thing they have? Slate? Yeah, late it's pretty.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
Similar do you ever run into a situation where something?
BREAKS i mean you got to have a crazy storm
or something really. Weird it's got to happen to, break
like a piece of slate or a cement. Roof but
then you can't find the exact matching. Piece that will sometimes, Happen,
yeah so what do you?
Speaker 1 (01:15:54):
Do you just do your best to match it.
Speaker 3 (01:15:56):
Well, so and what would happen if that was a
hail with an insurance company and they only wanted to
repair whatever section got broke or chipped or, whatever but
you couldn't find the exact. Thing does that mean the
insurance company has to buy the entire?
Speaker 4 (01:16:11):
Roof. Yeah So i'll break that down into a two.
Parts so the first part is if a customer comes
to us with you, know they're missing a, tile they
have a broken. Tile we have a pretty good stock
at our office, locally and we have a lot of discontinued.
Speaker 1 (01:16:23):
Material almost like a, boneyard kind.
Speaker 4 (01:16:25):
Of a boneyard where we can go and you, know
look for that exact, tile we might have it in
stock at our, office and then if we can't find,
it we'll look through supply and try to find something
identical or, similar got, it and then put it up
on the. Roof if it is a discontinued, tile say
it's like a discontinued color of a lightweight tile that
we can't get, replaced there is a high probability that
(01:16:48):
the insurance will have to buy that.
Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
Because because put a red tile on a purple, roof
well yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
EXACTLY i mean they're going to push for something like you,
know so it might.
Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
But you guysforce the, rules which means really they need
to replace it if you can't.
Speaker 4 (01:17:03):
Repair, Absolutely and a really good example of, that and
we see it a lot in Like wyoming or these
te lock. Shingles oh, yeah and so the te lock
shingles they're actually, integrated so they lock into each other
across the whole. Roof they're dirt cheap, exactly and they're
they've been, discontinued they've been disconnuted for a.
Speaker 3 (01:17:18):
Lost insurance, companies if you have t lock at, best
at best will be actual cash.
Speaker 1 (01:17:24):
Value, yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:17:25):
Yep so if one of those was to get, torn,
though the insurance has to pay for the entire.
Speaker 3 (01:17:30):
Roof, yeah and actually with code, upgrades which most people
have when it comes to their. Home at least if
you did have t locks and had hail damage or,
WHATEVER i mean, you they would pay for the upgrade
to replace, it right.
Speaker 4 (01:17:46):
If they were no longer allowed to DO t, Lock,
yes usually they'll go for, that and we can put
them into like a dimensional, shingle we Like Owen's corning
and do either like A.
Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
Class three or A class four hail resistance and that'll
save the money on their. Insurance oh, yeah, absolutely The
class four, upgrade especially In, colorado it can withstand that larger,
hail so it should get you that insurance discind of.
Speaker 4 (01:18:09):
He likes crap, man total. Crap. Yeah they're still around,
though especially in the markets that haven't had. Hail oh,
yeah it really doesn't.
Speaker 3 (01:18:18):
Matter, yeah but like you, SAID i mean they all
interli like basically you get some hits on, there the
whole roof's.
Speaker 1 (01:18:22):
TOTALED i mean it's it's really a bad.
Speaker 3 (01:18:25):
Deal and insurance companies absolutely hate, them can't stand.
Speaker 4 (01:18:28):
Them, yeah the insurance, companies they don't like tea. Locks
they don't like the the wood roofs, anymore, ye because
are a high. Fire, right they're.
Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
Gorgeous but you're, RIGHT i mean it is it's literally
having a fuel on top of your.
Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
House but it's okay because now we have synthetic. Options
that's WHAT i. Have, yeah, exactly the Synthetic what is
it a? Shake? NO i?
Speaker 1 (01:18:47):
Have mine looks like. Slate it's a wave f.
Speaker 8 (01:18:51):
Wave.
Speaker 1 (01:18:51):
Yeah it's cool as.
Speaker 24 (01:18:52):
Hell.
Speaker 4 (01:18:53):
Man if a homeowner really is in love with their you,
know cedar shake roof for senior shingle, roof we can
get them a synthetic option where it's a. Plastic but
it looks just like that would very?
Speaker 1 (01:19:03):
Cool all?
Speaker 3 (01:19:03):
RIGHT i Got Mark schamansky, Up, mark did you look
at that picture Of sean's?
Speaker 4 (01:19:07):
Deck?
Speaker 5 (01:19:09):
Yeah BUT i haven't.
Speaker 24 (01:19:10):
Heard anything about it at.
Speaker 22 (01:19:11):
All.
Speaker 3 (01:19:11):
Yeah so here here's the Question i'm going to bring
him up. To AND i appreciate you coming on while you're,
traveling but here's the. Deal so that second story deck,
there he is, saying the only thing on it IS
osb and it's basically water has penetrated. It it's, wet
and he wants to know what to do with. IT i,
mean it's kind of. Crazy the only thing on, There,
(01:19:33):
sean you're sure that's JUST osb on?
Speaker 1 (01:19:36):
There, yeah, yeah so that's. It, MARK i find that.
Crazy what would you? Do?
Speaker 24 (01:19:43):
Yeah, oh THE osb has to come, off and then
you can put either a decking system or you could
do you could take THE osb off and you could
put plywood down and do your thing. CODING i, Know,
mark you have like a concrete on your back. Nexcement
there's Also, yeah and you AND i talked about next
time you should put a year thing. Coding it's you,
(01:20:04):
know stuff will last. Forever it's, beautiful and some of
you really happy with a system like.
Speaker 3 (01:20:10):
That and some of these Decks Sean, sean these deck
systems he's talking. About so when you're up on their
walking it looks like tracks or it looks like normal.
Decking but because the area under there you don't want
to get, wet because it's a, patio the system makes
it to where it can rain like, hell and you'll
never have water under it.
Speaker 4 (01:20:29):
Either that's.
Speaker 24 (01:20:30):
Right, yeah your thing coding system would take care of all.
That you'd have no water going down. Below it stands
up to all the. Elements stuff is. Great they even
use it for parking, garages on the form of parking
garage where you can drive on. It that's how tough
this stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:20:45):
Is so why let me ask you, This, mark why
would they built that?
Speaker 3 (01:20:48):
House would they put JUST osb or do you think
that WAS i, mean what do you make of? THAT
i can't imagine. That i've never heard OF osb being
on a.
Speaker 24 (01:20:57):
Floor, WELL i can see where they put, that and
then maybe they're going to put something on top of,
it and they never either got around to it they
ran out of. Money but it's the wrong way to do,
it that's for. SURE i, mean you should be minimally
using xterier grade, plywood so you would rip.
Speaker 3 (01:21:14):
All that, out and your suggestion would, be let's, say
what's the most economic way.
Speaker 24 (01:21:21):
To rip that out and to put a coating on?
IT i, mean you can do other codings besides your.
Thing they're not going to hold up as. Well so
but you know you're thing's way to.
Speaker 1 (01:21:29):
Go, Sean you got any other, Questions, NO i think if.
Speaker 17 (01:21:35):
We bought this house in twenty, SEVENTEEN i think the
real estate agent put that crap on there and happens
because they did a bunch of half assed stuff onto
the house just to get it.
Speaker 9 (01:21:44):
Ready, yeah this is that.
Speaker 24 (01:21:48):
When that happens a.
Speaker 4 (01:21:49):
Lot, YEAH i.
Speaker 5 (01:21:50):
Would so many people out there.
Speaker 24 (01:21:52):
Do horrible remodel, jobs, like, Oh i'm going to flip this.
House that's all they do is care about the. Money
you got to find a house that.
Speaker 1 (01:22:00):
Right, yeah and these guys who'll come in big.
Speaker 5 (01:22:03):
Time.
Speaker 3 (01:22:03):

a really good guy. Man but, uh Call mark. Up
i'll give you his phone number and have him come
out and have his guys come out and give you
a bid and different options what you can.
Speaker 5 (01:22:30):

the calls back up as a. COME i do want
to tell everybody this. THOUGH i, mean if you're watching
on our YouTube, channel we're going to put up links
(01:26:12):
put that guy with the. Insurance do you want me
to put those photos up To? Mark, yeah put them
up so this poor guy calls up AND i.
Speaker 1 (01:26:19):
Think it was All. State his name Was. Brian we'll
try to get him back.
Speaker 4 (01:26:21):
On oh my.
Speaker 3 (01:26:23):
Goodness so he calls up and says All state is
not going to renew him unless if he moves a
car that he's putting an engine in and takes down
a what did he call? It a wheelhouse that's on
a water. Feature he has almost like a coy. POND
i forget what kind of fish it, was but it's
a fish pond.
Speaker 1 (01:26:44):
Tetris and then.
Speaker 3 (01:26:45):
A, wheelhouse said his grandfather.
Speaker 1 (01:26:49):
Made so we finally got the pictures of. It we're
going to put him. Up i'd love to.
Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
Know i'll put a poll, up BUT i, think really
what they're, saying and we're sending these pictures over To
Brian burns too or insurance. Agency but here's the bottom.
Line i'll tell exactly what they're. Saying in, fact There's.
Brian he's we got that phone line. Working, hey, Hey,
brian are you? There of course it doesn't, work of,
(01:27:14):
course as you can, See, kelly all those lines just dropped.
Speaker 1 (01:27:19):
Again But i'll just go right to.
Speaker 5 (01:27:21):
It.
Speaker 3 (01:27:21):
Brian what they need you to do is pick up
around the. YARD i MEAN i see why they're saying
it's a fire. HAZARD i don't even know HOW i
would describe the. Car, besides it's in how many different
parts would you?
Speaker 1 (01:27:33):
Say like it's.
Speaker 3 (01:27:35):
Crazy they're the engines sitting next to. It the WHEELS
i don't think are on.
Speaker 8 (01:27:39):
It, yeah the hood is propped up against the exterior
wall behind the.
Speaker 1 (01:27:43):
Car, YEAH i mean it's like it looks like it's been.
Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
There if he's been working on this, CAR i think
he's been working on it for fifteen. YEARS i see
what they're. Saying, basically it looks like it looks like
a junkyard a salvage. Yard and the pond is, unfunctional
not that that, Matters but that piece of wood next
to the, house it probably is only two or three feet.
Speaker 1 (01:28:07):
Tall BUT i, mean it's just old and. Dilapidated, Hey,
brian did you look at that? STUFF i.
Speaker 25 (01:28:14):
Did, Yeah So i'm not super surprised that the insurance
company wants to see that stuff cleaned up or.
Speaker 1 (01:28:21):
Gone, yeah And brian had a couple of.
Speaker 3 (01:28:22):
QUESTIONS i already told him, this And kelly's trying to
get these phones working, again so we'll have him back.
Speaker 1 (01:28:27):
Up but you, know they don't have to cover.
Speaker 3 (01:28:31):
THEM i, mean once that policy dates, up they don't
have to cover. THEM i, mean is there any exception to.
That you can't force an insurance. COMPANY i don't care
if they don't like that the paint is. PURPLE i,
mean they can basically not cover you for any reason
right after at.
Speaker 25 (01:28:47):
Renewal that's the key. Word that they have the right
to non renew a long it's a legal reason, Obviously,
yeah question after protected classes or. Something, yes they have
the right to non renew a. Policy they just have
to give a certain amount of. NOTICE i think it's
thirty days prior to. Renewal you have to they have
to be made, aware you, know through. Mail, yeah have
(01:29:10):
to be mailed out to the person to let them
know they're non.
Speaker 9 (01:29:12):
Renewing, so but do.
Speaker 3 (01:29:13):
You know of ANY i think that's all State AND
i Got brian back up, Here brian hold, ON i
brought you into the. Conversation but do you know of
any insurance company Like safeco or. Anybody do you know
of anybody that sent out an inspector that probably wouldn't
tell them the same. THING i, MEAN i THINK i
would tell you the same, Thing. BRIAN i see where
their fear.
Speaker 5 (01:29:33):
Is, well we we had my grandmother put this into you,
know Versus margare's type. Situation, yeah so they got the government.
Involved so when we tried to buy the house from the,
government we.
Speaker 1 (01:29:52):
HAD i don't know what you mean by any of, That.
Speaker 3 (01:29:56):
BRIAN i don't know what you mean by any of,
That but it's got nothing to do with the insurance.
Speaker 5 (01:30:00):
ISSUE i was just, saying we had inspectors come, out
insurance and inspectors come out and give the house like
a clean bill of. HEALTH i guess the best WAY
i can put. It, yeah They, well so that goes
back to they never said anything about, That.
Speaker 4 (01:30:18):
Brian.
Speaker 3 (01:30:19):
BRIAN i get, That. Brian it's evident because you have
coverage right. Now at one point they didn't care about that.
STUFF i, MEAN i get, that but they can change
their mind anytime they. Want it just doesn't matter if
that's the stuff they want.
Speaker 1 (01:30:33):
Done, now that's the stuff you're going to have to.
Speaker 3 (01:30:36):
Do and my fear, is even if you went to
a different, company you're going to be facing the same.
Speaker 1 (01:30:42):
Issues Brian, burns what do you.
Speaker 25 (01:30:44):
THINK i totally agree with everything you said that and,
yeah and you already made this, point but just distress.
It they can't do it anytime they want. It they
can do it anytime they want at, renewal at, renewals
and it sounds like that's what's occurring. Here But, BRIAN
i really do think you're going to have a hard
time anyway where they will all require these kind of.
Things and it sounds like you're in a, forest is
(01:31:04):
WHAT i had.
Speaker 4 (01:31:04):
Been he's in black. Forest SO i.
Speaker 25 (01:31:08):
Would, yeah, YEAH i would do everything you need to
to make them happy because it's going to be really
hard to find good insurance now with anywhere.
Speaker 3 (01:31:17):
Else now, This, brian real quick just brought up an
age old question That i've had with you numerous. Times
But Deputy doc brought it up so for the sake
of new listeners and for the sake of people who
heard me say something that wonder how it. Works WHAT
i told him is this is BEFORE i saw the.
Pictures first of, All i'm thinking it's a car that's
(01:31:37):
put together that needs an. ENGINE i, said, well why
don't you push it into the garage and then take
that wheelhouse your grandfather did and pick it up and
put it in the. Garage if that's all they, want,
done then you're. Insured then you can work on your
car again after they bind, you and then you can
take that thing out of the garage and put it
(01:31:58):
next to the water feature. Again And Deputy doc, said,
well then if something, happens he's not going to have.
Speaker 1 (01:32:03):
Coverage AND i said.
Speaker 3 (01:32:04):
NO i, said if something happened because the car did
it that needed an, engine or that wheelhouse somehow imploded
and burned the rest of the house, down he wouldn't have.
Coverage but if someone slipped and, fell or if he
had hailed damage on the, roof all of that would
still be.
Speaker 1 (01:32:22):
Covered Mister.
Speaker 25 (01:32:23):
Burns even if the car caused a, fire he would have.
Coverage he didn't sign anything, unlawfully getting you, know false
information to the insurance. Company and to your, point if
the engine was just missing and everything else was put,
together they wouldn't even say anything about this. Car this
wouldn't be an.
Speaker 4 (01:32:42):
Issue it wouldn't be an.
Speaker 25 (01:32:43):
Issue but it's in this. Array is the reason why
this is making, it you, know an.
Speaker 3 (01:32:47):
Issue you're sending bad, Signals. Brian And i'm just going
to be very blunt with.
Speaker 5 (01:32:51):
You process of putting the motor in SO.
Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
I know, that but looking at. It they came out
there and they looked At sanford And. Son they're, thinking
oh my, goodness what's going on. Here so you just
got to clean it, up and you're gonna have, coverage,
man and it's not easy to get coverage in The Black.
Forest SO i would do everything that all states said and,
basically you, know get it cleaned up and move. ON i,
mean you just sent up red. Flags it really had
(01:33:15):
nothing to do with the things they pointed. Out it
had to do with the overall picture they.
Speaker 8 (01:33:20):
Saw.
Speaker 4 (01:33:20):
Brian do you, agree totally?
Speaker 25 (01:33:22):
Agree it's showing a you, know if all these things
are on the outside with lack of, maintenance they can
interpret that probably how it is. Inside THAT'S i, mean
whether that's fair or. Not, Yeah i'm just telling you
that's what.
Speaker 3 (01:33:35):
Happens that's what they, See. Brian so you really need
to just handle that. STUFF i appreciate the, call and
please listen to what we're. Saying get that stuff cleaned,
up and then if you want to bring that thing back,
outside don't worry about, it bring it out.
Speaker 5 (01:33:46):
Now.
Speaker 3 (01:33:47):
Brian the REASON i know that is we've talked about
a lot of insurance companies don't like certain breeds of.
Dogs an example would be a, pitbull maybe A. Rottweiler
it really, depends and a lot of people. LIE a
lot of people lie SAY i don't have a pit,
bull and they actually. Do, now let's say you do,
lie you do have a pit. Bull you have hail,
(01:34:07):
Damage they're gonna pay for. It let's say someone slips
and falls in your house because water came in through
the skylight and there Was they're gonna sue. You they're
gonna cover. It, now if the dog bit, them they
might not cover, That but with the exception of that
dog that they actually lied about not, having they're still
going to cover everything that's in place on that.
Speaker 25 (01:34:29):
Policy, Right, absolutely you're exactly. Right so that's a perfect
way to state. It they would not cover the dog
bite in that.
Speaker 1 (01:34:37):
Case and if you.
Speaker 3 (01:34:38):
Think about, it, logically for people out there, listening and
for Like doc who asked the, question we wouldn't even
have mortgage companies that would lend you money unless there was,
coverage because that would mean you don't have. Coverage if
the insurance company could go back and, say, oh, well
you lied about, whatever it doesn't even matter what it.
(01:34:59):
Is don't to have, coverage you wouldn't have mortgage companies
lending people money because who's really on the hook is
the bank in most.
Speaker 25 (01:35:07):
Cases well, yeah could you imagine the can that would
open up for insuran's companies be able to get out
of any?
Speaker 1 (01:35:13):
Claim oh my, god they wouldn't pay anything and.
Speaker 25 (01:35:15):
Saying you lied here or there and it had nothing
to do with the. Claim, yeah they wouldn't ever be
allowed to do.
Speaker 3 (01:35:20):
That, LISTEN i gotta TAKE i gotta take a, break
BUT i think we could use you again for let
me hold, on just let me hey really, Quick danielle is?
Speaker 17 (01:35:30):
It?
Speaker 4 (01:35:30):
Daniel?
Speaker 1 (01:35:31):
What really? Quick what is the? Question with his car? Fire?
Speaker 22 (01:35:37):
Hello you can you hear?
Speaker 6 (01:35:38):
Me?
Speaker 1 (01:35:38):
YES i can hear.
Speaker 17 (01:35:39):

Speaker 4 (01:35:55):

Speaker 22 (01:35:57):
Engine is the?
Speaker 1 (01:35:58):
Question is the question an insurance? Related? Daniel is the? Insured? Daniel? Listen?
Please is the is the? Question insurance.
Speaker 22 (01:36:07):
Related, well it's to see IF i could maybe get
a class action lawson or try to find a lawyer
there see if you could help me.

Dan what kind of car was?
Speaker 17 (01:37:32):
It?
Speaker 1 (01:37:33):
Hey what kind of car was? That?
Speaker 14 (01:37:34):
Dan is a twenty Nineteen Mini cooper.
Speaker 3 (01:37:38):
And she was just driving it down the road and
all of a sudden the check engine light came on
and you started she started losing, power and then the
car legitimately caught on.
Speaker 22 (01:37:49):
Fire, yeah she said she heard a boom and then
all of a sudden it was on.
Speaker 1 (01:37:53):
Fire and then what Happened she pulled, over got. OUT
i mean it was the car total.
Speaker 22 (01:37:58):
Totaled, yeah it's burnt all the way to the, ground
all the way to the wheels and. Everything everything's burned.
Speaker 3 (01:38:03):
Up what happened with the? Insurance did she not have?
Coverage we had.
Speaker 22 (01:38:08):

Speaker 4 (01:38:12):
That but that's so everything go.
Speaker 22 (01:38:14):
AHEAD i was wondering if she could compensate for the
book because she got some injury second big, game take a.
Degree injuries on the, foot in her, leg in her.
Arm what she's getting out of the. Car, YEAH i
just want to know if it isn't. THINGS i could
talk to a lawyer or something like.
Speaker 3 (01:38:31):
That she you probably have a little. Coverage, yeah let's
Get john fuller. On that's a very curious. Question it
wouldn't be. Unensured it would be part of, medpay, right
because that's WHAT i, said they would have a. Little
the problem with medpay is we're talking probably ten, grand
AND i assume the. Medpay it's no questions. Asked that
(01:38:53):
should kick right. In do you know if it had
medpay on the.
Speaker 1 (01:38:57):
Policy enough for? Sure, NO i would like to Get
john fuller. On that brings.
Speaker 3 (01:39:03):
Up that brings up a handful of questions to, me
because that is kind of. Strange if it was funny,
enough if someone was in the car with her that
didn't own the car and this happened and they were,
hurt the coverage would be. There BUT i don't. Know
we got to Get john fuller. On hold, on that
is a that is actually a great. Question just as soon
(01:39:26):
as we Get john fuller, On i'll come back to. You, Hey,
carol what's your comment on The Black forest and the
fire in the insurance? Company All state not wanting to
renew him if he doesn't clean up the. Yard hell, Yeah, Carol.
Speaker 23 (01:39:44):
Oh, yeah, hi in or re least TWO i we
bought two and a quarter acres here In.
Speaker 7 (01:39:54):
Blackpot.
Speaker 23 (01:39:55):
Nice and so the insurance company THAT i have had
for the last forty, years it's a free, agent and
she was able to find me coverage for this new
property that we.
Speaker 6 (01:40:10):
Bought.
Speaker 23 (01:40:10):
Great the premiums are. Outraged, yeah, yeah six thousand.
Speaker 4 (01:40:17):
Dollars, YEAH i got.
Speaker 23 (01:40:18):
You and and we went ahead and paid half of it.
Down in the, MEANTIME i am, thinking, well surely that,
is you, know way too.
Speaker 21 (01:40:28):
MUCH i should shop.
Speaker 23 (01:40:29):
Around SO i went to a state farm, agent and
state farm told agent told me that my property qualified
for their coverage.
Speaker 17 (01:40:42):
In the black.
Speaker 8 (01:40:43):
Cloth how much less was?
Speaker 9 (01:40:44):
IT i went?
Speaker 23 (01:40:44):
Ahead, oh it was a little more than, half because
their normal coverage.
Speaker 21 (01:40:53):
Would have been.
Speaker 23 (01:40:53):
Half BUT i had to have myself.
Speaker 3 (01:40:56):
Covered So, carol you know what's funny about? Me people
don't know. THIS i have a magic, ball AND i
can look at the magic ball and tell. Me And
i'm going to feel really dumb If i'm reading my
magic ball. Wrong you canceled the other coverage and went
(01:41:16):
with the cheaper.
Speaker 1 (01:41:17):
Coverage is that part?
Speaker 4 (01:41:18):
Correct that's What.
Speaker 1 (01:41:19):
I'm seeing almost almost, okay then go ahead a most.
Speaker 23 (01:41:26):
Okay SO i had received emails telling me THAT i
needed to sign, something BUT i, had in the meantime
talked to my agent who had told me that this
coverage was extremely. High she was embarrassed to tell me the,
price but CAN i say the name of the company
THAT i should?
Speaker 1 (01:41:45):
With of course for help for.
Speaker 23 (01:41:47):
Others Safe co, Okay and she told me that Safe
co is able to go into areas where other insurance
companies are pulling, out but we're going to have to
pay the price that they we have to. Pray so
she totally understood because she's limited as to what she can,
get you, know for the. COVERAGE i.
Speaker 1 (01:42:09):
Understand so what? Happened?
Speaker 8 (01:42:11):
Okay SO.
Speaker 23 (01:42:14):
I THOUGHT i was going to be able to be
insured With State farm AND i had never figned something
that came over my email things sign. IT i thought
it was, cancelation BUT i wanted to make sure, that you,
KNOW i.
Speaker 25 (01:42:28):
Was going to be.
Speaker 1 (01:42:28):
Covered and what, happened, well come.
Speaker 23 (01:42:30):
To find out it was well, anyway come to find
out it wasn't. Cancelation it was find the, policy so
we will cover, you all.
Speaker 24 (01:42:38):
Right so what.
Speaker 15 (01:42:39):
Happened State farm.
Speaker 23 (01:42:40):
Sent me a letter saying that with because they hadn't
somebody come out take pictures and.
Speaker 1 (01:42:46):
Everything they then they denied. Coverage the reason they denied
coverage my magic.
Speaker 3 (01:42:54):
Ball my magic ball in the crystals in my pocket
told me that, People you're, lucky did you?
Speaker 1 (01:43:03):
Not you didn't cancel the other? Coverage did?
Speaker 23 (01:43:05):
YOU i did?
Speaker 3 (01:43:07):
Not you got lucky because what happens a lot people
in state farms the, worst they're the worst at doing.
This they do, That they give you this rate and you're,
like oh, Wow i'm going to save all this, money
and the local agent bind you so you truly do
have insurance for like thirty.
Speaker 1 (01:43:25):
Days then in that timeframe.
Speaker 3 (01:43:28):
They send somebody out and that someone, says, hell, no
we're not doing anything.
Speaker 1 (01:43:33):
Here in the, meantime you canceled the other.
Speaker 3 (01:43:35):
One now the other one doesn't want to take you,
back and now you're. Screwed so you're lucky you didn't
cancel the other. One that is a great story for
people to understand out. There And, carol the only Reason
i'm shortening this call at this point IS i got
to take this.

very curious, Too AND i got our, expert our personal injury,
Attorney John.
Speaker 1 (01:46:52):
Fuller i'm gonna pull him up and lock him.
Speaker 3 (01:46:54):
In but it's a very curious, Question, john BECAUSE i
started thinking about the different kinds of.
Speaker 1 (01:46:59):
Coverages But dan's, daughter was it your, Daughter? Dan that
was my.
Speaker 22 (01:47:05):
Granddaughter her Name.
Speaker 3 (01:47:06):
Summer So summer's driving back in this twenty nineteen vehicle
and ultimately it catches. Fire now they do have full,
coverage or they have coverage for the vehicle, itself and
basically the insurance company's going to write him a check
for whatever the value of the vehicle, is so they
have coverage for the. Property but he brought up a
(01:47:28):
good question during this, Fire, JOHN i guess she had
second degree burns and other issues going.
Speaker 1 (01:47:34):
On first of, all would? Medpay if they have?
Speaker 3 (01:47:37):
Medpay my understanding is that should instantly kick. In but
if they don't have, medpay is there anywhere else to?
Speaker 17 (01:47:47):
Go, well that's an interesting.
Speaker 9 (01:47:51):
Question let me ask you a couple, questions did they
ever find out why the car caught on?
Speaker 22 (01:47:55):
Fire, no they haven't found that out. Yet investigate it
and they found don't be.
Speaker 3 (01:48:02):
Nothing what would that, Matter, john give me a scenario
why that would, matter.
Speaker 9 (01:48:07):
And then, OKAY i. Will but, secondly what insurance company
are we talking about?
Speaker 22 (01:48:12):
Here TO?
Speaker 9 (01:48:15):
Usaa, okay all, right. Cool so you know there's there's
a couple of different ways to go in a situation like.
This one would be the potential of, well let's deal
with the callers. Questions, first can we use can we
make claims against our own insurance? Company and the question,
IS i don't. Know what it's going to come down,
to is to take out THE usaa policy and and
(01:48:38):
really look hard at the definition of incident and see
if it falls within. That it did come out of
the use and operation of the motor, Vehicles SO i
think you're starting out in a really good. Place but
what it's going to come down to is just truly
looking at the definition that they have in that policy
to see if this, event this mechanical, breakdown would qualify
(01:49:01):
and if injuries that happen as a result would qualify
under the. Policy that's step one, okay step. Two and
the REASON i asked you about whether they found the
cause is that it could potentially be a product liability
case against the manufacturer of the. Car, now there's two
things that are going against you on. That number one
is the general statute of limitations on product liability claims
(01:49:24):
is only two. Years, however there is a discovery rule
that says it's two years from the date that you
knew or should have known about the. Defect so if
that was Last, saturday that's when your clock starts starts.
Ticking but there's another rule that, says under no, circumstances
regardless of when it was, discovered can it go beyond seven.
(01:49:46):
Years and that's called a statute of. Repose so you're dealing,
with AS i understood, it a twenty nineteen. Cars so
you're kind of pushing out there on the outer boundaries
of that statute of. Limitation so you, know once you
find out what the cause of it, is and if
it can truly be traced back to the, manufacturer that
might be your avenue of. Recovery of, course let me
(01:50:08):
warn you those those actions are quite. Expensive they all
bringing on experts and everything. Else so the damages and
injuries have to be sufficient enough to justify being willing
to throw one hundred or two hundred thousand dollars of
expert expenses on that case just to even have a
chance at prevailing an acclaim against the. Manufacturer So dan With,
(01:50:32):
john my two.
Speaker 3 (01:50:33):
Thoughts So dan With john saying that give us an
idea of the. Injuries you said second degree? BURNS i, mean,
ultimately is she back to? Work was she in the emergency?
Room is she still in the? Hospital what are we talking?
Speaker 26 (01:50:46):
About she went to The mercy room after the fire,
happened and they treated her, there and they once they
treated her, there she WAS i had to go back
to The mercy room to check it, out to check
out the burns. Again and then she'd been out of
work ever since because she can't really walk on her
(01:51:07):
left ankle because it was blistered, up and she's you,
know to a second degree to be winded this because scale.
Speaker 1 (01:51:15):
Well how long ago was it this? Happened it happened Last.
Speaker 17 (01:51:19):
TUESDAY i believe to stay about five point.
Speaker 4 (01:51:21):
Thirty all, Right so we?
Speaker 3 (01:51:24):
Gotcha, Okay, Hey, john let me ask you, Though WAS
i correct on medpay medpay would kick in no matter
what right.
Speaker 9 (01:51:32):
It should. Mark it again just depends on the circumstances
under that policy, definition because it's not an accident in
the true sense of the, word and and there will
be a definition of an incident in THAT usaa. Policy
that's WHAT i would do on this. CASE i would
start at the. POLICY i look at policies at least
once a. Week i'm looking at the wording of a
(01:51:53):
policy to go does this claim fit squarely within?
Speaker 3 (01:51:56):
This so If, dan we're going to give You john's
number after, this you need to get that policy and
get it over to. Them And john's gonna have a
lot of answers for you right after.
Speaker 1 (01:52:07):
That, Right, John.
Speaker 9 (01:52:09):
I'd be happy to look to the policy. Over my
guess is that it probably does not fit within the
definition of an incident under THE usaa, policy and my
guess probably doesn't fit within. Medpay BUT i don't know
UNTIL i look at that.
Speaker 3 (01:52:27):
Policy, john let me ask you another. Question this Just
i'm going down the road a little. Here If summer
had a friend in the car and the friend got,
burned and the friend couldn't go to, work and the
friend was in the hospital for a few, weeks the
insurance would kick in because now it's a liability.
Speaker 9 (01:52:47):
Issue, Necessarily, no you do? Wrong what was her? Negligence?
Speaker 1 (01:52:51):
OH i see what you're. Saying.
Speaker 9 (01:52:53):
YEAH i mean if the friend was a passenger and
this guy's granddaughter was driving down on the road and
a plane crashed into, it would you look at the
driver of the car now somehow being?
Speaker 3 (01:53:06):
Responsible, No but if she was drunk and ran into,
something then, yes she would be.
Speaker 9 (01:53:11):
Responsible that's a whole different ball of. Wax, NO i get,
it some culpability as far as being. Negligent, so you,
know in this, CASE i think that's really what we're talking,
about is. It you, know why would the insurance company
be willing to pay for something that was not the
fault of the?
Speaker 5 (01:53:27):
Driver?
Speaker 4 (01:53:29):
Yeah, Right, NO i get.
Speaker 9 (01:53:31):
It neglegents unless the you, know unless the driver you,
know doubts the whole car in, gasoline or and then
the passenger got, Hurt clearly there'd be a, case right,
Yeah but not for the, driver just for the.
Speaker 1 (01:53:42):
Passenger but the medpay there'd be no issue.
Speaker 9 (01:53:45):
Really but it's got to be an. Accident it's got
to be a defined event to kick in the. Medpay
it's not just any way that you get hurt in
a car that.
Speaker 1 (01:53:55):
You, know let me throw something.
Speaker 3 (01:53:57):
Out if the fire was started because she ran over
a road. HAZARD i don't, know was dragon or the, Muffler,
well not the, muffler but she ran over a road.
Speaker 1 (01:54:06):
Hazard does that all of a sudden kick in the medpay?
Speaker 9 (01:54:08):
MOSTLY i think it.
Speaker 26 (01:54:09):
Would.
Speaker 9 (01:54:10):
YEAH i think that would be a a that would
squarely fall within the definition of an incident under the.
Speaker 3 (01:54:16):
Policy So, dan here's what you're gonna. Do you got
to get a copy of. That, uh there's really two
things here as far AS i. See you get to
got a copy of the actual. Policy that shouldn't be.
Hard but then you also need to figure out with
the fire department or the police report or whomever does the,
research why did this thing catch on?
Speaker 1 (01:54:33):
Fire because that's going to be another part of.
Speaker 9 (01:54:36):
This, YEAH i mean you're sie many. Factors where's the?
Car why did it catch on? Fire how has it
been preserved since? Then as the car total? Loss did
the insurance company come and take the car away so
that it's gone? FOREVER i mean there's a lot of,
wow a lot of factors that you need to think
about in this. Case but you, know it's it's an unfortunate,
(01:54:57):
situation but they happened sometimes for which there's really not
an avenue of. Recovery and we just don't know why
this car caught on, fire but there's a. Reason they
just don't catch on fire on their. Own, No so
something fail actually cause.
Speaker 1 (01:55:13):
That, yeah So, dan that's what we got to.
Speaker 3 (01:55:15):
Do you got to get that, Report so keep harping
on whoever you need to in order to figure out
the origin of the fire and then get a copy
of the. Policy And i'm going to put hold on a.
Second i'm going to lock him in And i'm going
to put you on hold and make Sure kelly he

sum it.
Speaker 11 (01:59:01):
Up mark the articles really.
Speaker 12 (01:59:02):
Long there's a lot of information On sleave's brigade about,
him but you, know he takes a long time to
get these transmissions rebuilt for several different. Customers but the
craziest part is when they come back for warranty. Work
there's been like several cars that have conveniently mysteriously been
(01:59:22):
stolen off his, property and he says he has nothing
to do with the, Thefts, like he doesn't deny, that
but it's been numerous cars we'll just disappear when they
come back for warranty.
Speaker 1 (01:59:33):
Work what was the shop name back?
Speaker 11 (01:59:35):
Then does it, say, uh there's been several days.
Speaker 12 (01:59:38):
You renamed shops Like All american has been the most widely.
Used the certified, transmission extreme power. WORKS i, mean there's all.
KINDS i don't know what he's using, now it sounds
like it's.
Speaker 3 (01:59:50):
Different there was a period of time we would have
four or five, calls let's, say in a couple months,
period and they all went like, This we paid him
ex amount of dollars for a, transmission and we, Left
we picked it, up paid him or a lot of
times he actually got paid in, advance but did go.
Speaker 1 (02:00:08):
Pick it, up like several weeks. Later, yeah and a
week or two, later a very quick. Time the transmission
would basically be. Failing it would not. Work he would, say,
well bring it back. In they'd bring it back and
drop it off and the car would be. Stolen any
warranty work that went, back not, any but all the
Calls i'm talking, about and there was so, many it was.
(02:00:29):
Crazy the cars would be. Stolen.
Speaker 8 (02:00:32):
YEAH i just read an Interesting Adams county lawsuit a
few minutes ago involving his former, Company All American transmission
into alleged almost exactly the same. THING a dude brought
in his fourth pickup truck for a. Transmission months went
by without any. Communications he showed up to find his
pickup truck At jeff's, location only to be told it's
gone mysteriously vanished. Nobody, yeah and, UH i think.
Speaker 1 (02:00:55):
He's part in my, opinion is he's part of the
car thefter.
Speaker 3 (02:00:58):
Ring, wow that's just my. OPINION i can't validate, that
but it's. Craziness it's very.
Speaker 1 (02:01:04):
Disturbing think of how you go back for warranty work
because what he did simply didn't work and your car.
Stolen what a better way to get out of warranty?
WORK i mean, really there's no better way because you're
not going to Be, ultimately you're not going to be.
Speaker 3 (02:01:19):
Responsible people are, like, well can't you go after him for? Insurance,
no he's saying it was. Stolen IF i go To
walmart and run in and grab, something my car, Stolen
walmart's not paying for my.
Speaker 1 (02:01:28):
Car it's a car insurance And.
Speaker 12 (02:01:30):
Demitri just so you, know this guy has come on
our show several. Times he'll try to defend himself Exact.

Speaker 3 (02:02:44):
Scammer and it's so well infuriating that no one can stop.
HIM i, mean we've literally shut down his old, stores
but then he simply moves to another county and starts
all over.

opinion he's the biggest Crook i've ever. Met we're gonna

Wrong he's very. Convincing oh, YEAH i.

Know he convinced me he's going to send me my
money back five hundred a.
Speaker 5 (02:06:21):
Week and it's.
Speaker 14 (02:06:23):
Crazy it took another this other guy.
Speaker 21 (02:06:26):

over the. Break he's going to do a deal that's
crazy for people right. Now they want to keep their
cruz out. There there hasn't been a lot of hail this,
season but gutter, CLEANING i, mean you're good with, this,
right we can do.
Speaker 4 (02:09:38):
That, absolutely gutter cleanings and. Repairs.
Speaker 3 (02:09:40):
Yeah so well if yeah, repairs no, doubt there was
a ton of, rain you got a. Leak these guys
come out and do repairs all day. Long these guys
are in the. State you're the one of the largest
roofers in great, pricing whether it's through insurance or just
cost out of pocket for like a leak fix or
some of these guys are going to be the. Best
but the two hundred dollars off any le issue right.
(02:10:01):
Now so if that rain hit and you got a,
problem please call these. Guys their whole crew for repairs
is great and they're there all the. Time they're on salary,
too aren't.
Speaker 1 (02:10:10):
They, yeah i'll repair guys OR w. Two, yeah THEY'RE
w two.
Speaker 3 (02:10:13):
Employees now, listen if you need a new roof or
need it looked, at these guys can come. Out call them,
first because you basically got a year to call in
to have the insurance cover. It so they'll come out
for free and do an inspection on the. Roof but
this gutter cleaning is the most unbelievable. Thing they come
out and clean our gutters twice a. Year instead of
(02:10:34):
getting a gutter helmet or any of these, things just
have your gutters. Cleaned these guys come out and do.
It it's usually two hundred and ninety nine or three
hundred ninety nine. Bucks they send an entire crew, out all,
insured AND i am telling you they clean the. Gutters
they'll take a hose, around go down the down, spots
they get rid of every, leaf clean those. Gutters i'm
not going to say you'd want to eat off of,
(02:10:56):
them but they look like you could eat off of.
Them and LIKE i, said they get all the down,
spots they put the hoses, down they spray, it they powerwash,
it they spend a lot of, time and it's a real.
Crew you're gonna love. It it's not like one guy
in the. Ladder they come, out they knock it. OUT
i think at our, house are out there and we
got a big ass roof man and they're usually out
there two three hours cleaning our. Gutters so what's the
(02:11:19):
special gonna?
Speaker 4 (02:11:20):
Be, yeah so our special right now for gutter cleaning
is ninety nine bucks for all people that are, listening
whether you're on the, podcast their, show, wherever just mention
The Henry special for gutter. Cleaning, yep and that will
be valid.
Speaker 3 (02:11:35):
Indefinitely think about that ninety nine dollars with all that
rain we just had. Too you live out like in
the Black, forest you live out where there's a lot
of trees and. Stuff all that stuff came down into the,
gutters or maybe you haven't had them clean since last.
Winter get them. Cleaned you're not gonna get a better
deal than ninety nine. Bucks they'll also do the roof
(02:11:55):
inspection for you if you want it. Done they'll get
up there and make sure that you don't have hailed.
Them maybe you didn't know. About so you get the
gutters clean and basically you get an inspection all for
ninety nine dollars ninety nine. Bucks how COME i always
pay two ninety nine or three ninety nine.
Speaker 6 (02:12:12):
Because you're a.
Speaker 4 (02:12:12):
Sucker we're gonna take take care of. You.
Speaker 1 (02:12:14):
Jeez can you imagine though ninety nine?
Speaker 6 (02:12:16):
Bucks hen would you say something about the drones that
you use to examine?
Speaker 4 (02:12:20):
Roofs, yeah what do you do with?
Speaker 1 (02:12:22):
That i'm, Curious but.
Speaker 4 (02:12:24):
We will occasionally use, drones but it's not something that
we use.
Speaker 1 (02:12:28):
Standard, yeah generally send people.
Speaker 5 (02:12:31):
Up so we.
Speaker 4 (02:12:31):
Do we do get aerial, photos so we use Eagle
view in a variety of different. Products that is so. Cool,
yeah so we get you, know, measurements we can get
that from the air without having to get up there
and even do the. Measurements but as far as like
identifying hail, damage us go up there just to get up. There,
yeah put eyes on.
Speaker 3 (02:12:47):
IT i thought you was talking about like some really,
strange you know house sits on the side of a
cliff or. SOMETHING i didn't know what you, Meant, doc
BUT i KNOW i know what he's. Saying when they
actually go out there see the. Damage then they can
send up to your own to get all the measurements.
Speaker 4 (02:13:01):
Perfectly just want them to clarify, that.
Speaker 3 (02:13:03):
Yep ninety nine. Bucks so you're not gonna beat that
Excel roofing Dot com ninety nine.
Speaker 1 (02:13:08):
Dollars really, now they're not going to come. Out i'll
say this because you had a few calls last time
we did something and you had people calling up they'd
own like commercial.
Speaker 4 (02:13:18):
Malls, no, yeah this is for a, house for a
working little. House this is for a single family residential.
House and LIKE i, said if you just Mentioned Henry's,
special whether you're listening to it on the podcast, radio
that will be valid. Indefinitely and then just to touch
on that other thing for repairs on the front range,
here we have been getting a ton of. Rain so
(02:13:38):
whether you have any like softet, issues facia, issues little
things you, know gutter, issues, leaks any kind of exterior
damage like, that just give us a. Call we'll take
two hundred bucks off that repair. Cost just Mention Henry, Special.
Speaker 1 (02:13:54):
Henry special three oh three seven six one sixty four
hundred three oh three six four Hundred excelroofing Dot Com Henry.
Special please take advantage of. It you're not going to
get a better. Deal they're a great. Company ninety nine
dollars for the gutter. Cleaning i'm telling you they do
a great job. Too you're going to be so. Impressed, okay, Now,
(02:14:14):
LAURA i promise her up next right after. This she
called in. Yesterday she had a contractor that basically ruined her.
Floors she bought the material and we tried to reach
out and they Told, kelly, hey we're suing her and
basically we don't want to talk to you on the.
Air and she's got a follow. Up we're gonna find
out what that is right after, This, Laura, oh don't tell.
(02:14:49):
Me these phones blew up. Again my, god right at
the end of the. Show oh, Good, laura.
Speaker 3 (02:14:53):
Listen, YEAH i see the, intentally AND i want you
to understand this is Kind it's not a bad. Thing
and here's WHAT i. Mean your floor looks like. Crap
you got to have someone out there to figure out
how much it. Is but if he actually goes for,
everything let me tell you what his steps. Are he
has to send this the intent to lean then when's
(02:15:14):
the last time he was in your house doing work.
Speaker 2 (02:15:18):
Two weeks? Ago?
Speaker 3 (02:15:19):
Okay so he's going to be fine as far as
that part. Goes and WHAT i mean by that is
he has, basically most most, times he has ninety days
to file the lean after the last time he was
working there or delivered materials somewhere around. There now after
he does, that he has an ADDITIONAL i, believe ninety
(02:15:42):
days to actually file the court, case meaning take you to.
Court then if he wins the court, case then that's
when the leen is. Perfected and basically there's a valid
lean on your. House so he's got a lot of
steps to go. Through he can put the lien on,
there but to get it actually, validated he needs to
go to court and, win meaning he needs to convince
(02:16:06):
a judge that you are in the, wrong not. Him
so that's kind of where you're at if he goes
through all of those.
Speaker 2 (02:16:13):
Steps, Okay my thing, is, like you, know on our
invoice it says we owe are remaining ten thousand. Dollars
that's for work he hasn't even.
Speaker 3 (02:16:23):
Done, yeah well that's, Fine but if you had the
contract with him and he's doing horrible, Work that's What
i'm trying to tell. You you're going to have your time
in front of the judge or. Magistrate you're going to
have your time to tell your. Story just because he's
trying to get a valid lean on your property doesn't
mean he's going to get.
Speaker 22 (02:16:41):
One uh.
Speaker 2 (02:16:44):
Huh. Okay my question is we want to have someone
come out the house and certify that the floor's not
good so we can move forward with someone else doing. It.
Speaker 3 (02:16:53):
Well, yeah and but once, AGAIN i mean, listen if
he's agreeing to fix it and, everything that would be an.
Argue meant he could bring up in front of the
judge that the judge might, say, Hey, laura you entered
into a contract with. Him you really need to let
him do. It but that's a little different. Thing AND
i know you're working With, Dmitri So, Dmitri i'll give
you a couple.
Speaker 1 (02:17:13):
Of our flooring people that maybe can go out. There
that'd be great because she needs to get it done, anyhow,
right that's. Right, YEAH i mean she needs to pay
for a floor from. Somebody, yeah but what if.
Speaker 11 (02:17:22):
The judge, says, hey you got to let him do the.
Floor she shouldn't be getting him.
Speaker 1 (02:17:26):
Done she's going to end up he d she she's
risking that ten thousand or having a Valid.
Speaker 8 (02:17:31):
LENA i Preferred laura To Neil hollington, yesterday so Hopefully
laura will call.
Speaker 3 (02:17:34):
Up all, right, listen we're picking this up where we
left off tomorrow morning
