Simpler is is.

Speaker 6 (02:53):
In the industry, they're known.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
A bit like uh, let me, let me tell you
like search engine optimization, except that expression is old hat
right now, first and foremost the industry. If you're in
business at all, you got to listen. You're going to
learn so much today it'll blow your mind. If you're
in business, you always want to be top of the

(03:15):
search engines. Okay, and you know, you have companies that
do it the right way, companies that do it the
wrong way. And for example, you'll have companies that optimize
their search results. A client search results for the entire country,
but not in their backyard, you know, and a lot.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
Of people search for their backyard.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
They'll go Plumber's Denver, or you know, body Shops Denver
or GYM Denver. But anyway, what I'm getting at is
SEO really could be summed up as search engine optimization
for Google.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
That's really what the industry has been.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
People try to figure out what Google wants, and they
eat it to Google. They based their website based on
Google standards, They tag it based on Google standards.

Speaker 6 (04:10):
What I'm saying is this the art of doing a
website used to be.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
And I'm saying used to be. There's still a little
left over, but it's changing. This world is changing. Search
engine optimization is going away as we know it. So
you would build a site so Google could index it properly,
and if Google understood it, then Google liked it. And

(04:34):
if Google liked it, it put it higher up in
its search engine. So people strived to please Google. In fact,
Google even put out guideline for websites.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
It's almost as if Google owned the Internet.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
They told us how to play, They made up the
rules for the Internet.

Speaker 6 (04:58):
My guests will tell you how this has change now.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
I'm not saying SEO is completely out the window, but
it is morphing.

Speaker 6 (05:05):
It is morphing.

Speaker 5 (05:06):
We have artificial intelligence now and many people don't even
go to Google to look something up. They might go
and say, I want fresh seafood tonight. What are some
great restaurants in Denver? You literally write that question like
you're asking a friend, and AI comes up with results.
Are those results Google? If you SEO for Google, will

(05:27):
it show up as higher priority?

Speaker 6 (05:29):
An AI?

Speaker 5 (05:31):
I don't know where these are the things we're going
to discuss. But I'm going to take phone calls versus
always and Justin's on he wants to.

Speaker 6 (05:37):
Talk about a loan.

Speaker 5 (05:38):
But this topic of search engine optimization I call let's
just call it this. I'm going to give it a
new name, Okay, IV. Get your company and IV, and
that is basically it's visibility, increased visibility.

Speaker 6 (06:02):
Okay, that's what it is.

Speaker 5 (06:04):
And it's really IIV increased Internet visibility. That's what it is.
It's not just for Google, it's for AI too. Now, Justin,
you have a question about a loan. What's going on?

Speaker 6 (06:20):
Justin?

Speaker 7 (06:22):
My problem is that I was recently divorced about a
year year and a half ago, Yes, and we had
a common house and so we did not sell out house.
I had taken possession of the house, and so I
owe my ex wife about sixty thousand dollars worth of money.

(06:43):
And I wonder if there's a way to take out
a second loan for me and failed to pay her
off and get that all sold out or some options there.

Speaker 6 (06:53):
No, I know what you're saying.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
So you inherited the house in the divorce by divorce decree,
But your wife half of the equity.

Speaker 7 (07:02):
Yeah, a little bit of equity out.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Yeah, and so you need to pay her half of
the equity according to the settlement.

Speaker 7 (07:10):
No, it's the lesson now.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
That it's about sixty ko okay, okay, okay, fine, that
was the settlement amount.

Speaker 6 (07:15):
So you need to pay.

Speaker 5 (07:16):
Your ex wife fifty thousand uh in a settlement.

Speaker 6 (07:21):
Okay. So the way to do it.

Speaker 5 (07:26):
Is to get now, now, it depends how much is.

Speaker 7 (07:29):
Your first My first is uh, I got about two
eighty five. Low in the house is worth about six hundred.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Okay to eighty five? And what is your rate?

Speaker 7 (07:44):
Two point five or two point three seventy five?

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness, now you no, no, no,
it's not a problem.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
It's a good thing to have. You're not so you
owe about.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
Two eighty five at two point five on a six
hundred thousand.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
Dollars house, yes, roughly?

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Oh my goodness, so you're in good shape. Can I
ask you something just between you and me? How did
your wife only settle for fifty grand? Did she get
other stuff? In other I mean, that's amazing that you're
looking at three hundred thousand or three hundred and fifteen
thousand dollars in equity and you only have to write
your wife at check for fifty grand.

Speaker 6 (08:27):
How did that? I mean, I'm just curious how that happened.
I know everyone paid her.

Speaker 7 (08:32):
I take I've taken out another loan to pay a
part of that off.

Speaker 5 (08:37):
So okay, it's not really any of my business. It's
none of my business. I was just curious how you
made that settlement. So in essence, though, if you look
on a piece of paper for you and your wife,
you guys split everything down.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
The middle, right, and you just happened.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
Okay, So to get fifty grand out of this house
is going to be a walk in the park. I mean,
I don't see how you can't get it. You just
get a second deed of trust, a second loan. Have
you looked at the market right now for seconds?

Speaker 6 (09:09):
I no, I haven't. I was wonder about one.

Speaker 7 (09:11):
You don't be out of the house killing you know
both of our names.

Speaker 6 (09:14):
So that's so no.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
No, But that's going to be easy what you can do.
First of all, in this particular case, did the court
say that the first loan or the mortgage the main mortgage?
Did the court say you had to take it out
of her name, because if so, you're going to have
a problem. No lender at two point five percent wants

(09:40):
that loan out there at all.

Speaker 6 (09:41):
They want it closed.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
So anything you do to change ownership, well, they're going
to call the note. Do did the court require you
to take your wife off the loan?

Speaker 1 (09:54):
No?

Speaker 6 (09:55):
Good. What you do then for ownership is a quit
cli deed.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
Your wife will quit her claim to the home, and
that's why it's called quit.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
Like I quit this job. She will sign a quit
So did you did you do that yet? The quit
claim deed?

Speaker 1 (10:16):
No, I've not done anything.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Okay, I'm going to give you some steps. If this
was me, this is what I would do. This is
not legal advice, it's not financial advice. It's what would
Tom do or what would Tom tell his brother to do.
So here's what you do, very first thing, and you're
still amenable and friendly right with your wife, your ex. Okay,

(10:38):
you need to sign a quit claim deed that puts
the house in your name completely.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (10:45):
Then you want to call one of our friends for
a mortgage, and I would suggest you call John Clace
over at CMG.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
Financial Clase k l Ai L. E.

Speaker 8 (11:03):
S S.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
I believe it doesn't matter. It's clase.

Speaker 5 (11:06):
However you want to spell it John Clay, and you
want him over at CMG Mortgage. Tell John of your
situation and that you just need a second because it
would be silly to really to disturb that first.

Speaker 6 (11:24):
So you do a quick nameded.

Speaker 5 (11:26):
You keep the first and get a second for fifty grand.
And he's got some very creative seconds for you that
you would love to hear. And it's CMG Kachina. Do
you have that number handy? I don't have it right
in front of me right now.

Speaker 6 (11:43):
I can give it to him out here, okay.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
And also, because this happens all the time whenever I
recommend people, there's other people that are going to want it.
So text it to me and I'll give or put
it up on the call screener and will I will
talk about it.

Speaker 6 (11:57):
Now, Deb, what is going on with uh siding? Deb?
What's happening?

Speaker 9 (12:03):
Okay?

Speaker 6 (12:05):
It could be me.

Speaker 9 (12:07):
Sighting is beautiful, but at the top, and I don't
know the technical term, at the top, it just throw
the roofline. There's that tram. Yeah, how you kind of
expected that to be painted along with everything else?

Speaker 6 (12:21):
Well, when first of all, when was the siding done?

Speaker 9 (12:26):
It was then the third and I paid.

Speaker 6 (12:28):
Them in ful Okay. So you put new siding on
the home or is this a new home?

Speaker 9 (12:33):
Yeah, no, it's a new siding on an old home.

Speaker 6 (12:37):
So you did residing.

Speaker 5 (12:39):
You did residing on your home and they did not.
And was the siding painted pre painted before they put
it up or was it painted afterwards?

Speaker 9 (12:51):
No, it was. It's the heart hearty siding.

Speaker 6 (12:55):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (12:55):
So did you paint it afterwards or was it painted.

Speaker 6 (12:58):
Already painted already? Okay?

Speaker 5 (13:02):
And you did hardyboard, which is a pretty good product.

Speaker 6 (13:05):
I personally like others.

Speaker 5 (13:06):
Better, but other kinds, but hardyboard has a good name.

Speaker 6 (13:10):
You hang on and we'll.

Speaker 5 (13:11):
Talk about what's going on, if they should have painted that,
and about how to get that done on The Troubleshooter

You'll think you're his only customer when you choose Frank
durand the real estate man dot com to list your
home with Remax Alliance three oh three nine two zero
sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom Martino, you'reoter. I want to
go back to deb. But I was asking for expressions

(14:06):
and slogans yesterday. One guy just texted me today it
was kind of funny. I'm not doing that for the
show today, but I had to read this one. It's
it's it's really funny. Marry your second wife first. That's
kind of funny anyway. Let's but I predict that if
you did that, you'd still change because men are so

(14:26):
quirky that way. It's amazing how many how many marriages
fell and the second or third one takes a hold. Hey, Deb,
So you had hardyboard put on your house and it
was pre painted. But now you noticed a trim piece
right under the eve of the home.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
And what color is it?

Speaker 9 (14:49):
But it's whatever the trim is that goes around your house?

Speaker 8 (14:52):
Right?

Speaker 6 (14:54):
No, but what color was it a piece? And what
is the color?

Speaker 5 (15:00):
What is the what are the trim what are the
trim colors around your house?

Speaker 6 (15:04):
Do you have any brown?

Speaker 5 (15:06):
No?

Speaker 10 (15:07):
Not right now.

Speaker 9 (15:07):
My guthers are that the trim that they painted out
is white.

Speaker 5 (15:12):
So why did they leave that piece brown? Did you
ask them?

Speaker 9 (15:16):
Well, my problem is they charged at their estimate. The
first estimate I should have gotten this was forty sheets
of seven by seven sixteenths OSB sheeting. I don't know
where that is.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Okay, what that means is underneath they put plywood sheathing
down underneath your siding.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
That's what it means.

Speaker 9 (15:37):
They didn't do the sheeting or the vapor barrier that
I was charged for.

Speaker 5 (15:41):
Really, wait a minute, Wait a minute, wait a minute.
I want to go back to your contract. It literally
specifies plywood sheathing and weather.

Speaker 9 (15:51):
Proofing and vapor barrier.

Speaker 6 (15:54):
That's what it is, a vapor barrier.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Can you send us Here's what I want you to
do dead rather than going exploring.

Speaker 6 (16:02):
Can you send us that contract.

Speaker 9 (16:05):
Well, it's all estimates, just and it's in a list form.
There's nothing you know precisely, price wise or anything else. Okay, well,
my undoing.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
So really you didn't sign that. That was not a contract.

Speaker 9 (16:20):
No, it's just an estimate. But we went with it.

Speaker 5 (16:23):
So what did they put the board when they when
they put the hardyboard on the house, What did they
put the hardyboard over?

Speaker 9 (16:33):
That sounds so silly. It's styrofoam.

Speaker 6 (16:36):
Okay, they had the what was it like silver?

Speaker 9 (16:41):
No, it's just like regular styrofoam that was held up
with deccape.

Speaker 5 (16:47):
So they put styrov But what did Okay, I'm gonna
I'm gonna keep going here. What did they put the
styrofoam over?

Speaker 9 (16:55):
It was already there when they took the.

Speaker 5 (16:56):
Old Okay, all right, So they took the old siding
off and simply put the hardy board up without new
sheathing and without new insulation. Yes, sir, okay, maybe that
was good enough. And you didn't have to pay for that.
How do you know you paid extra for sheathing and
a vapor barrier.

Speaker 6 (17:17):
How do you know that?

Speaker 9 (17:18):
Because when I paid the whole kitten taboo, when he
gave me beat when they were done, Yes, the whole thing.
And then I got to go back and looked and said,
you never did the sheeting. You never did, yeh.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
But you said, but you said there was no contract
for sheathing. By the way, it's called sheathing and vapor
what it's just.

Speaker 9 (17:40):
The estimate okay he gave me.

Speaker 10 (17:43):
I never had a contract.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
And then the full price for the estimate was what.

Speaker 9 (17:49):
Well, when I got the estimate, the first one, it
was nineteen eight seventy five and the final payment was
twenty was the whole told was twenty thousand, thirty five dollars.

Speaker 6 (18:02):
Okay, that's fine.

Speaker 5 (18:03):
So so that twenty thousand and thirty five dollars you think
included the vapor barrier and sheathing that you never got.

Speaker 9 (18:14):
Well, because I call I texted him and said, did
you give me the credit? And I figured between six
hundred and nine hundreds for that?

Speaker 6 (18:22):
Well, okay, what okay, that's what you figure. But what what.

Speaker 5 (18:26):
Did he say when you said I was charged for
sheathing and vapor barrier that I did not get.

Speaker 9 (18:32):
What did he say he credited me before that, but
it took more hours than what he thought it would take.

Speaker 5 (18:40):
So wait a minute, So you're talking about this problem
and he already credited you.

Speaker 6 (18:47):
Yes, but why did we go through all this then.

Speaker 9 (18:51):
Pay for his more hours when we never discussed how
many hours it was going to take.

Speaker 5 (18:58):
Deb Listen, yes, okay, you what you want is to know,
it doesn't matter hours or anything. What you need to
know is this, you paid twenty thousand and thirty five dollars.
How much did he credit off of that? What did
he subtract?

Speaker 9 (19:16):
I have no idea because when I approached him about it,
he said it is deb.

Speaker 6 (19:21):
Here's what I'm asking you.

Speaker 5 (19:23):
How much did you pay for the whole job?

Speaker 9 (19:29):
Twenty thousand, thirty five dollars?

Speaker 6 (19:30):
Got it?

Speaker 5 (19:31):
But you said after you complained about the sheathing and
vapor barrier, he did another credit back to you.

Speaker 6 (19:41):
Is that right or wrong?

Speaker 9 (19:43):
Hey, that's what he said he did. But I don't
have any proof of how much.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
So you're saying that the twenty thousand and thirty five
dollars was the reduced price.

Speaker 9 (19:57):
No, because it started out at nineteen eight.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
Hundred two, deb, Deb, listen, it can't be this difficult.

Speaker 6 (20:03):
I swear to God. Here's what I'm asking.

Speaker 5 (20:05):
You, No, Deb, I am asking you a straightforward question.
How much would it have been if he did not
credit you that money?

Speaker 6 (20:17):
You paid twenty thousand bucks.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
Forget the thirty five you paid twenty thousand dollars. What
I need to know is this, how much more would
you have paid for the sheathing and for the vapor barrier.

Speaker 6 (20:30):
How much more would you have paid?

Speaker 9 (20:34):
That was all wrapped up into then the twenty thousand.

Speaker 5 (20:40):
Okay, so the twenty thousand did not include the sheathing
and vapor barrier.

Speaker 9 (20:48):
Right, it did include it, but it has no nothing
taken off for not using it.

Speaker 5 (20:54):
Okay, good, that's where we are. But he said he
would credit you, but he never did it.

Speaker 9 (21:00):
Well, he said he used it up in hours.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
I get what you're saying. Now, I understand completely. I
understand completely, Deb. No, no, here, let me explain it
had Deb had siding done on her home and she
was charged for sheathing and vapor barrier which was never done.
When it came time to credit her, he said, you
really don't have any money coming back because it's I

(21:24):
spent more hours than I thought.

Speaker 6 (21:26):
I would exactly.

Speaker 5 (21:28):
Okay, now here's what I say, Deb. Everything is going
to come down to the contract, and if you don't
have a contract, then it's going to come down to
the estimate. Did he sign the estimate? No, and you
did not sign the estimate. So right now we just
have to figure was this a fair price or not?

(21:52):
He probably did? He say, you did not need the
sheathing and you did not need the vapor barrier.

Speaker 6 (21:59):
Is that what he said?

Speaker 9 (22:01):
Yes, because of the styrophone that was already got it.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
Okay, but you're saying that should have saved me money,
and he's saying, no, it didn't save you money because
the job took longer than I thought. And you're absolutely right,
deb you should not be responsible for the extra time
it took if he did not estimate it properly.

Speaker 6 (22:20):
If he didn't estimate it properly.

Speaker 5 (22:22):
Now, had he left off a piece or something you
had to buy, that's different. But if he estimated his
time incorrectly, he can't go back and just overcharge or
charge you more, just without at least talking to you
about it. Here's what I want to do. I want
to get someone to call him. Who do we have

(22:42):
on this on on today? Who do we have Kachina?

Speaker 6 (22:46):
Who worked?

Speaker 5 (22:46):
What is Deputy Dollar in the studio? Deputy Deputy Dollar,
you heard the problem. Let's call this contractor and what
I'd like to ask him is why does he think
he can throw in the extra hours right now? That's
what I want to do, and please have her send
that estimate over to Deputy Dollar we need to get

(23:08):
to the bottom of it.

Speaker 6 (23:09):
People.

Speaker 5 (23:09):
I'm going to tell you something about estimates. They're not contracts.
They can be construed as a contract if they're signed.
But if you have an unsigned estimate, this guy could
simply say it was an estimate.

Speaker 6 (23:22):
That's all it was. I wasn't bound to it. This guy.

Speaker 5 (23:25):
All he has to say is this, Hey, the job
was more than I thought. And without a contract he
might get away with it.

Speaker 6 (23:32):
But I want dollar to talk to him and figure
it out now.

Speaker 5 (23:37):
I want to also talk about search engine optimization if
you are a company, and what are you paying for
and is it necessary? And does it still work? And
what's happening with AI? Are people using AI to search?
All of this coming up on the Troubleshooter Show. It's

(23:57):
a very interesting topic. If you own a businessiness you're
gonna want to know about it. By the way, fix

three nine two zero sixteen twenty two.

Speaker 6 (24:52):
Why would that? I'm Tom Martino. I got an amazing
thing here.

Speaker 5 (25:00):
You know, we're going to talk about this Google versus
AI and how you search and what it gives you.
And the whole thing that brought it up was Steven's
call because he's looking for a stare lift and I
did not Google it. Instead, I put it into AI.
And here's what I asked. Where can I buy a

(25:20):
stare lift device for helping me go up to my
second floor?

Speaker 6 (25:24):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (25:25):
And it says if you're looking to buy this or that, okay,
there are local dealers, national brands blah blah blah. Where
to buy some local dealers And it said LifeWay mobility
was number one on my list, and Sean haiks, when
you did it, where did LifeWay show.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
Up on your list? Number three number?

Speaker 5 (25:45):
Why would it be different on your Did you querry
chat GPT?

Speaker 11 (25:50):
I did, Yes, I put in exactly the same thing,
and it's LifeWay is number one or number.

Speaker 12 (25:55):
Two in Google too, So it kind of shows you
a little bit.

Speaker 5 (25:59):
You think that the results in AI will mirror Google.

Speaker 11 (26:04):
Not all the time, because AI takes and you know,
it looks at Yelp reviews, it looks at directories, top
ten lists and things along those lines.

Speaker 6 (26:12):
Is it more thorough than Google in your opinion?

Speaker 12 (26:17):
I mean it's debatable right now. I think it's getting there.

Speaker 6 (26:20):
Is it influenced by ads?

Speaker 12 (26:23):
No? No, no, which is great.

Speaker 6 (26:26):
Okay, we're going to talk about that.

Speaker 5 (26:27):
And what brought it up was Stephen, Stephen, what is
going on?

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Yes?

Speaker 10 (26:35):
I had the Acorn sharelift here, not this past weekend,
but the Saturday before and somehow it works.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
Now, did they come out to do a demonstration. Did
you call them to come out to your home?

Speaker 10 (26:54):
Yes, yes I did. They came out and they made
measure mention day, gave me a brochure.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
Okay, and the name of the place is the name
of the place is is Acorn, Yes.

Speaker 10 (27:08):
Called Acorn stair left. They have an advertisement on television.
But now I found out that they started in Yorkshire,
England seventy five countries, but they have a place here
in neither Ohio or in Florida or something.

Speaker 6 (27:23):
How much do they want? How much do they want?

Speaker 8 (27:26):
Thousand four two?

Speaker 6 (27:29):
Okay? And how many stairs? Are we talking about?

Speaker 8 (27:33):
About?

Speaker 10 (27:33):
Fourteen steps?

Speaker 6 (27:36):
Okay?

Speaker 10 (27:37):
And then down to the basement.

Speaker 6 (27:40):
Did Acorn show up on your list?

Speaker 2 (27:42):
On?

Speaker 6 (27:42):
Acorn didn't even show up on my list at all.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
How did you find them from TV?

Speaker 10 (27:49):
Had the phone number? Yeah, they had a phone number
on I wrote it down and I called them and
they came out and they took measurements, and they kind
of the Brokshire explained how it works to each of
the steps. I guess this track, I guess, and it
goes slides up and down on the gear and there's

(28:09):
a seat and breasts and a seat belt.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
Yeah, yeah, I understand.

Speaker 5 (28:13):
So I went into my uh just for those listening
into the AI, and said what about Acorn stairlifts because
it wasn't mentioned in their list, And they said from
what I found. It's a global stairlift manufacturer based in England.

Speaker 6 (28:28):
They offer three main.

Speaker 5 (28:30):
Types, straight stairs, curved stairs, outdoor stairs. Their units mount
to the scare staircase itself.

Speaker 6 (28:36):
The warranty is decent.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
Their US units come with a twelve month manufacturer guarantee.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
They said.

Speaker 5 (28:43):
One of the problems, they said they were looking for
things more local. That's why it didn't come up in
my search. But in any case, you did not agree
to it yet. Now, okay, so what is your question
for us today?

Speaker 10 (28:58):
I just wondered if there's an other company here in
the Denver area or.

Speaker 5 (29:04):
There are there are plenty of them. I'm going to ask, well, yeah,
there are plenty of them, So Sean, tell them some
of the ones that you came up with on your search.

Speaker 11 (29:18):
Yeah, so I just said it. I just narrowed it
down a little bit more. But I have, Yeah, a
LifeWay Mobility in Denver came up with Kine's Mobility Mountain
West Stairlifts.

Speaker 5 (29:29):
Yeah, we're going to get these to you. I'm going
to get them to you. I'm going to send them
to Kelly. She'll send them to you. I just want
to know something. Golp yeah, Well do you do you
have email? Sir?

Speaker 10 (29:44):
No? Okay, what will flip phone?

Speaker 5 (29:49):
Do you do you have a Do you have a
straight staircase or is it curved or is it a
ninety degree?

Speaker 6 (29:55):
Does it have a landing?

Speaker 5 (29:56):
No?

Speaker 8 (29:57):
No, no, no, it's just a street.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
The prices that the prices I am seeing here are
about three thousand dollars. Well, it's a little bit better,
but these are Now this is an average of the industry,
and again this is really important. You got to check
the references as well. What I'd like to do rather

(30:21):
than mail this to you, it's going to you know,
I don't even know how to mail things anymore, and
you have a flip phone. So what I'd rather do
is have one of my deputies call you and go
over each one and help you pick a reliable company.
Stare lifts are really important and if it's not done right,

(30:44):
we've gotten a lot of complaints about them.

Speaker 6 (30:46):
You have to make sure how old is your house.

Speaker 10 (30:51):
It is completed in fifty nine, okay, so you have
to make sure you have the wall structure.

Speaker 5 (30:57):
The wall structure has to be able to support it
and all of that. I would not go with the
first bit I got. So, is deputy doc on duty today?

Speaker 6 (31:08):
Kachina. I know he said he was home, but is
he on duty? I'm not sure.

Speaker 10 (31:12):
I think he had an appointment.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Okay.

Speaker 6 (31:15):
What I'd like to do pass us off to him.
I would like him to look into this.

Speaker 5 (31:21):
He's both a retired doctor and he's pretty smart. What
I'd like to do is have him go over some
of the companies and see which one, Kachina. What I
will do is copy my recommendations here that I found.
I'll copy it and have him go over it. I

(31:41):
think that's going to be the best thing. It's it's
really I'm telling you, it's really remarkable, and we're going
to go over this. How Ai, in my opinion, has
changed searching forever.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
That's my opinion.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
I don't see why anyone anyone would go to Google.

Speaker 11 (32:01):
And you can ask it too, So I just asked that,
can you sort it by reviews?

Speaker 12 (32:06):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (32:06):
My god? Does that?

Speaker 5 (32:07):
So it'll it'll see you who came out as the
best as far as reviews.

Speaker 11 (32:10):
Colorado Stairlift is number one for me four point nine stars,
twenty nine reviews, and then LifeWay Mobile or Mobility has
number two.

Speaker 5 (32:18):
Why don't we just why don't we just narrow it
down to those two and have doc to see how
that was. So if we text that to Kelly, Kelly,
those two are the ones I want him to check
on for this guy.

Speaker 6 (32:32):
We have more coming up on the Troubleshooter show.

(33:14):
all right, So we have talked about this for years.
Search engine optimization in short Sean Sean haggs with Simpler
sy M P L E R Simpler dot com. They
do search engine optimization, but have AI changed it? Does

(33:34):
AI simply go out and look at Google results or
Bing results or the Internet in general?

Speaker 6 (33:42):
Is it true?

Speaker 2 (33:42):
That.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
One person texted me saying, Tom, it seems to me
if I pay for search engine optimization for Google, it's
going to show up on AI.

Speaker 6 (33:54):
Now is that necessarily true?

Speaker 12 (33:57):
It is right now?

Speaker 6 (33:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (33:58):
So there's a lot of best prac this is with
Google that still support AI as well.

Speaker 6 (34:04):
But here's what I'm asking.

Speaker 5 (34:06):
You can't go to Google and ask them to what
you just did. We asked for where can I find
dependable companies for stare lifts in Denver?

Speaker 6 (34:16):
And it gave us. It gave us a list of companies.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
Then you said, can you sort these by customer reviews?

Speaker 11 (34:25):
Yeah, so if you're logged in, you'll get Gemini, which
is you know, prime version there LLM. So you can
technically do that if you're logged in because Gemini will
show the results as well in Google.

Speaker 5 (34:38):
What do you like better chat or Gemini Chat?

Speaker 12 (34:42):
For sure?

Speaker 5 (34:43):
Okay, So are people optimizing for A I definitely?

Speaker 6 (34:49):
We got to talk about how you do it.

Speaker 5 (34:51):
Then Sean has something to tell you about the first
ever store where no humans will be present. Let's talk
about it. It's an AI retail store. Go with a

Speaker 4 (35:53):
This is the Troubleshooter Show. No Tom Martinez.

Speaker 6 (35:59):
Hey, I'm Tom Martin. You know, welcome to the show.

Speaker 5 (36:02):
We're solving problems, answering questions, taking complaints, making your life
a little easier. And I took a call from a
guy who wanted to find a stare lift company. He
had one company come out and do a estimate, and.

Speaker 6 (36:23):
Then wanted to know where else he could go.

Speaker 5 (36:25):
He doesn't go online, but had he gone online? Most
of us go to Google and we do searching, or
we used to. Right now, I'll tell you since chat
I have not used Chat GPT. I've not used Google,

(36:47):
not once since I've gotten it. What I do is
I go to Chat and say where can I find this?
Or where can I find that? Or how much what's
the going price for this? And then Sean it takes
my guest today with simpler sym It's simpler dot com
with a y instead of an eye.

Speaker 6 (37:09):
He said. AI is ubiquitous.

Speaker 5 (37:12):
It's taking the place of so many things, including search engines.
And I'm wondering, now, how do companies optimize SEO used
to be everything Google everything. Google basically owned and still
does to a certain extent, the Internet. They When you
think about if you had to say who owns the Internet,

(37:36):
they would say Google.

Speaker 6 (37:37):
Google has the most influence online.

Speaker 5 (37:40):
In fact, Google is accused sometimes of suppressing search results
they don't want seen and increasing others. They have been
accused of favoring political candidates and suppressing good news about
one candidate and enhancing the bad news and doing the
opposite for the one and they support Now whether or

(38:01):
not that's true, I can't tell you, but I will
say this, if they did decide to do it, it's
a game changer. They can literally make you invisible on
the Internet. When people go to search for you, they
don't find much out about you.

Speaker 6 (38:15):
Now I'm not saying they're doing that, but they could.
And when people.

Speaker 5 (38:22):
Hire companies for search engine optimization, really it's Google optimization.
That's really what it is, Google optimization. They're saying, how
can you let me be more visible to Google? Sean
Hanks Haiks, I'm sorry, Sean Hanks, that's h Akes, Sean.

(38:45):
Would you say that has been the business, the search
engine business. It's truly saying how do you make me
visible to Google?

Speaker 12 (38:55):
Yeah, definitely, I mean quite some time, for quite some time.

Speaker 5 (39:00):
Aren't there even guidelines Google gives you on building sites?

Speaker 11 (39:04):
There are, Yeah, they start out as the Google Webmaster
Guidelines and now they're Google Search Essentials. But basically, do
some don'ts that can get you penalized if you cross them.

Speaker 5 (39:13):
What happens if you cross their rate? If you don't
do what they like?

Speaker 6 (39:16):
What happens? What does a penalization look like?

Speaker 11 (39:20):
So they have a algorithmic action against the site, which is,
you know, algorithmically they demote you and the search results and.

Speaker 5 (39:27):
Truly, if they don't like your website, they demote you.

Speaker 11 (39:31):
Yeah, there's certain things that you're violating on their terms,
then they'll they'll demote you algorithmically, and then if it's
severe enough, they'll do it manually, which is someone at
Google physically going and removing you from the search results.

Speaker 6 (39:46):
So what are some of the things they don't like?

Speaker 12 (39:50):
Paid links is probably the biggest.

Speaker 6 (39:52):
What does that?

Speaker 11 (39:53):
It's where you say, like, let's say I said, hey,
I'm going to pay you a thousand bucks for you
to put a link on your website to my website.

Speaker 6 (40:00):
Well, if they do paid links all the time, right,
I know? Yeah? And wait wait wait wait wait, So
they don't like if you and I had a deal.

Speaker 5 (40:07):
Let's say you had a really popular website and I
go to you and say, Sean, your website gets a
whole crapload of hits, can I pay you to put
a link on your website?

Speaker 11 (40:18):
So just the placing a link and paying them isn't
against the guidelines.

Speaker 12 (40:23):
There's certain tags how you can tag the link.

Speaker 11 (40:26):
So if you're paying for that link, if you tag
it as a sponsored link or a no follow, which
means the SEO value from that site doesn't get passed
through to your site Because of that compensation.

Speaker 12 (40:39):
You're okay, But but what if.

Speaker 5 (40:41):
I want it to influence my site and be positive
for my site, I'm not allowed to do it?

Speaker 11 (40:47):
Then you can technically, you know, I mean, well they
catch you. Maybe maybe not, but in some cases they
do for sure. Yeah, I've done a lot of penalty removal.
Google will give you an example of some of the
websites that they have found that. Maybe you're buying links on,
let's say, and they'll send you those and you have
to ask them to remove them and go through a
whole reconsideration request process.

Speaker 6 (41:09):
It's like they're the god of the Internet.

Speaker 11 (41:11):
Yeah, and it's it's getting pretty bad, especially with Google
business profiles. We're seeing businesses all over the country getting
suspended for no reason at all.

Speaker 12 (41:21):
You know which homes they a bit?

Speaker 5 (41:23):
Do you think they have political leanings in their suspensions
and promotions?

Speaker 6 (41:29):
Have you found that? If not, that's fine, I'm just curious.
Do they try?

Speaker 12 (41:34):
Yeah, I haven't seen anything like content related.

Speaker 5 (41:37):
They don't penalize you for content they disagree with.

Speaker 12 (41:41):
Right, Yeah, I haven't seen any of that personally.

Speaker 5 (41:43):
What about hate speech or something they would interpret his
hate speech?

Speaker 6 (41:46):
Would they demote you for that?

Speaker 12 (41:49):
Not that I've seen. You know, it's dependent.

Speaker 11 (41:52):
I mean back in the day, do you remember rip
Off Report That was like a big way, a big
way to smear people.

Speaker 6 (41:57):
Isn't it still up?

Speaker 11 (41:59):
It's uh, but Google pretty much gotten rid of it.
Why search results? It could be a lot of different reasons.
You know, it's it's a smear site.

Speaker 8 (42:08):
Right.

Speaker 12 (42:08):
People would go on there.

Speaker 6 (42:10):
And they can write anything they want about anybody, right, right.

Speaker 11 (42:12):
There were some uh, you know, it's been a while
since it ranked really well, but there were some schemes
going around I guess with Ripoff Report and how they
got their rankings as well, right.

Speaker 5 (42:21):
And they didn't let people respond sometimes if they didn't
like them.

Speaker 12 (42:24):
Yeah, yep.

Speaker 5 (42:26):
So so Google was the shizziness when it comes to
search engines and search engines and optimization. In fact, I
know some SEO companies that don't do anything at all
except work with Google.

Speaker 6 (42:40):
They don't.

Speaker 5 (42:40):
I mean, so really, you didn't need to call it
what it is. It is Google optimization, that's really what
it is, right, Yeah.

Speaker 11 (42:49):
And typically if you do well in Google, because their
guidelines are a little bit more strict than you would
do well in being you know, another automatically.

Speaker 5 (42:58):
Yeah, so how has certain how has a I changed this?

Speaker 11 (43:05):
So right now, there is some overlap with s c
O and AI because AI search or l l m's,
you know, large language models look at a lot of
similar signals that Google looks at. So it looks at
your consistency across the web, your name, address, phone number,
It looks at reviews like chat GBT, will look at

(43:26):
social media mentions and conversations. It'll look at next door,
Reddit throughout you what your reputation is on those.

Speaker 12 (43:33):
So there's a lot more that Chat GBT, But.

Speaker 6 (43:37):
It looks like chat.

Speaker 5 (43:38):
What you're saying, Chat seems to be more organic.

Speaker 11 (43:42):
Than trickery, Yeah, it is, and it looks at more
sources for the for the rankings. Google is still very
heavily reliant on links, whereas chat GBT is more reliant
on information that's out there. If that makes sense.

Speaker 6 (43:59):
Yeah, I know what you mean.

Speaker 5 (44:00):
So they know about websites based on information. Google knows
about websites based on what people feed them.

Speaker 11 (44:09):
What people feed them, how they trick you know, Google
through the stuff.

Speaker 6 (44:13):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 5 (44:13):
They there are tricks that people use for Google and
you can't really trick a search, I mean an AI
model can you.

Speaker 11 (44:20):
You can, but it just takes a little more effort
because they look at so many different sources.

Speaker 5 (44:26):
I want to and by the way, I invite people
to call.

Speaker 6 (44:29):
We've done this before and it's wonderful.

Speaker 5 (44:32):
You can call us with your website or text us
your website and we will look at it and Sean
will give his expert opinion right off the bat on
a few things free of charge, you know, so whatever
you want, there's no obligation. Tell us your website, we'll

(44:52):
look at it, or even your social media sites.

Speaker 6 (44:56):
Now I want to know then with a I.

Speaker 5 (45:02):
Are there tricks to get a I to look at things?

Speaker 11 (45:08):
Yeah, I mean there's it's new, right, So there's there's
things like putting l M text files, which is kind
of like a site map for AI engines to to
look and understand your website. There's you know with se O,
the crossover with AI and s c O as business directories.
You know, getting listed on those reviews super important.

Speaker 5 (45:31):
So the more sources of information you have, the better
for both Google and the bigger your footprint.

Speaker 6 (45:38):
So you want to.

Speaker 5 (45:39):
Be mentioned or looked at or have copy out there
in all kinds of ways, all kinds of shapes and
forms you do.

Speaker 11 (45:47):
So your advertising should really be a large net that
covers a lot of different areas, you know, whether it's Yelp, Google.

Speaker 6 (45:57):
When you say covers those you mean.

Speaker 11 (45:59):
Social media, Like, don't just focus on Google now, Like
if you if you plan on doing well in aii
now and in the future, don't just don't focus just
on Google.

Speaker 12 (46:09):
You know, have a strong social So.

Speaker 5 (46:11):
When people come to you now and they want enhancement,
you do way more than just Google trickery, because that's what,
let's just call it what it is. That is what
search engine optimization used to be, Google trickery. In fact,
some companies would get your contract by saying, look what
we've done for you overnight, and it's a trick and

(46:32):
it doesn't last.

Speaker 12 (46:34):
Yeah, yeah, I mean SEO is very.

Speaker 11 (46:37):
Dynamic as far as you know. It's ups and downs
and things like that, and it changes all the time.
So what a lot of SEO guys do is they
look for what those changes are and then they say,
all right, how do we trick the latest change, you know,
or optimize I guess for it.

Speaker 5 (46:52):
But right now though it's safe to say for Google optimization,
for the for the current until it's it's rapidly changing. Well,
let's say for conventional search engine optimization. They wanted to
see a well organized site with real information, right, and

(47:15):
they want to see links, but they want to see
the right kind of links. What kind of links do
you good? What kind of links do you bag?

Speaker 11 (47:25):
Let's say you're picked up in a local news story
that was positive. You know it's a big authoritative news site.
They linked to you. That's a great link. I always
say local Chamber of commerces are good for links for local.

Speaker 5 (47:40):
If your site shows up on other people's sites, those
links have a lot of authority they do.

Speaker 12 (47:46):
They have a lot of influence with them.

Speaker 5 (47:48):
Even if it's negative, even if they say don't go
to this website and they put a link on it.

Speaker 12 (47:52):
Yeah, right.

Speaker 5 (47:52):
I mean what I'm saying is we had an idiot
one time who I did sleasbrigade dot com. By the way,
I never did a thing for sleeves to enhance it.
It's got a lot of authority for some reason. And anyway,
I had a story about this guy on Slees Brigade.
Because you would take money and not fulfill orders. This
guy went to the front page of his website and

(48:14):
said Tom Martino and Sleezbrigade dot com with the link,
they're phony baloney. And he literally my traffic went up
because he kept telling people not to go there.

Speaker 12 (48:24):
Yeah, totally.

Speaker 5 (48:26):
So links can be positive or negative, but the link
itself will give your site more authority. The more places
you are linked from, the better.

Speaker 12 (48:37):
Think about it quality over quantity. So it's not really
you don't want to.

Speaker 11 (48:41):
You don't want to necessarily have a ton of links
if they're garbage links. Google they consider neighborhoods, right, so
bad neighborhood to goodighborhoods. If you have a lot of
bad links going to you as the same all, it
can hurt you.

Speaker 5 (48:55):
It can hurt you bad links, Okay, But if you
have a lot of links going to like somebody says
I found great information here and they link, or somebody
says I'll contact this guy to get consumer help and
they link, those are good links.

Speaker 12 (49:10):
Exactly.

Speaker 5 (49:11):
How would that work in business? How would a good
link work in business? Like I bought my door here
or I bought something here and it was great.

Speaker 11 (49:19):
Yeah, I mean, let's say it's a real estate agent
that has a list of their favorite contractors they use,
and they list a riffer and okay, handy man and
things like that.

Speaker 12 (49:27):
Those are great as well.

Speaker 5 (49:28):
What about social media when someone says on next door,
go to this website or go here or go there.

Speaker 11 (49:34):
Well, some social media's closed, so those links aren't.

Speaker 6 (49:37):
They don't let you do it.

Speaker 11 (49:40):
But there are, like you know, Facebook and Instagram. Now
they're the posts are indexible now, which.

Speaker 5 (49:45):
Is they let you link. Some sites don't let you
post links.

Speaker 11 (49:49):
Right, but most big sites like Facebook and Instagram and
Reddit and things like that, Wikipedia, they include what are
called no follow tags. So you get the link on
the web site, but technically you don't get any SEO
benefit from it.

Speaker 5 (50:03):
Oh so wait a minute, So if they put a
link for your site on their site, it does link.

Speaker 6 (50:11):
People to you, but it doesn't give you credit.

Speaker 11 (50:14):
Yeah, so that tag that you put in there no
follow tells Google like, hey, we're not endorsing this website. Now,
you might get benefit from the traffic that you'd get
from it, but.

Speaker 5 (50:23):
You don't necessarily get an SEO credit from the link itself.

Speaker 12 (50:26):
Right.

Speaker 5 (50:27):
Okay, So if someone comes today to look for search
engine optimization. I think it should just be called increase visibility.
I mean, I truly that's what it is. Don't you
think there's a time when AI will be the main
place people search? Why would you bother searching anywhere else

(50:49):
when you can just go to AI and.

Speaker 6 (50:50):
Ask a logical question.

Speaker 5 (50:52):
See.

Speaker 6 (50:52):
I used to worry when I went to Google.

Speaker 5 (50:54):
You'd go Google and then you do words and commas
and try to and I would get a bunch of
crap links along with good links. With AI, that never happens.
I just asked straight out questions. Okay, I'm looking for
something that is so specialized.

Speaker 6 (51:10):
Listen to this.

Speaker 5 (51:11):
On my helicopter, there's an engine door where you open
it up to look at the engine. It's a very
lightweight aluminum door, and I crank it cracked. Okay it
the aluminum cracked in a spot and I want to
replace it. So I went to AI and said, where
can I find a left hand engine cowling door for

(51:32):
an instrum for ADB.

Speaker 6 (51:33):
I swear to God, Now, how do you put that
in Google? Okay?

Speaker 5 (51:37):
I put that in Google just to see, and I
put it in AI. You know what a I did?
It gave me four places not only that do it,
but have them in stock Wow.

Speaker 6 (51:45):
Google didn't do that.

Speaker 12 (51:46):
Yeah, and you can.

Speaker 11 (51:47):
You can also take a picture of it and put
it in Most people don't know this when they're troubleshooting
like errors on their computers.

Speaker 12 (51:52):
Things like that.

Speaker 11 (51:52):
You can screenshot, oh what you're looking listen with chat.

Speaker 5 (51:56):
I had this chat on my phone and it has
a camera icon. I literally sat there one night and
I was on a site called Atticus, which is a site,
not a site. It's an app where you write your
manuscript and format it for sale on Amazon and Kindle.

Speaker 6 (52:16):
And it helps you format the book.

Speaker 5 (52:18):
I was having a tough time finding out how to
do certain things in this app, rather than going to
the app and asking it, because help in most apps
we'll have to.

Speaker 6 (52:31):
Go to AI.

Speaker 5 (52:31):
So what I did was I literally held up my phone,
hit the camera icon and was narrating the problem.

Speaker 6 (52:38):
And it was like I had you sitting next to.

Speaker 5 (52:41):
Me telling me, no, see that thing up in the corner,
that gear icon.

Speaker 6 (52:45):
Click it.

Speaker 5 (52:47):
Then I clicked it and it says now pick option
number three. I mean, it was like having a person
sitting next to me and it's eyeballs.

Speaker 6 (52:55):
Were my camera exactly. Yeah, Okay, we're going to.

Speaker 5 (52:59):
Talk about how AI is going to be used in retail.
Do you know there will be a time when you
walk in a store and there won't be anyone there.
We'll talk about that. I want your calls though, and
if you have a website and you're in business, you
can text me or you can call us and just
tell us about your website and you'll get some free advice.

Speaker 6 (53:20):
I'm Tom Martine.

Speaker 5 (53:21):
More right after this, go with a sure thing Denver's

Remax Alliance three oh three nine two zero sixteen twenty two.

Speaker 12 (54:01):
II.

Speaker 5 (54:01):
I'm Tom Martino. You're a troubleshooter. I find this so fascinating.
The world is changing around us, you know, don't even
try to put your mind around AI. I mean it's
and they call it a large language model. I don't
know why, because is there are there any ais that
aren't large language? I mean, you know, in other words,
they're all large language otherwise. So they ingest tons of

(54:26):
information and then spit it back out again.

Speaker 6 (54:29):
And that's really what they do.

Speaker 5 (54:31):
But they do it in a conversational way or in
a way that was never done before.

Speaker 6 (54:36):
You know, it used to be that you would go
to Google.

Speaker 5 (54:38):
Now Google has Gemini, and Gemini will attempt to answer
the question like Chat does. But I find more and
more people using Chat or insert the name of.

Speaker 6 (54:50):
Your choice, whatever, Grock or whatever.

Speaker 5 (54:53):
I see them using it as their search engine. So
how do you optimize a website to show up in AI?

Speaker 6 (55:05):
How do you do that? Sean? If someone comes to
you for se O work, what do you do?

Speaker 5 (55:11):
So?

Speaker 11 (55:12):
First step is build a strong entity recognition. So strong
entity recognition, so consistency across all platforms, not just Google.

Speaker 5 (55:21):
So consistency with the entity itself in social media and
online and everywhere.

Speaker 12 (55:28):
Yeah, and it's the same thing, the same name, the same.

Speaker 11 (55:30):
Address, phone number, everything's exactly the same. Okay, there's some
structured data which you can use on the website called schema.

Speaker 6 (55:38):
Which helps what is them understand it.

Speaker 11 (55:40):
It's a it's a markup language which helps not only
Google but the large language models better understand what the
website or the business is about.

Speaker 6 (55:49):
So is schema is something the public reads?

Speaker 1 (55:52):
No?

Speaker 11 (55:53):
Yeah, so you you would see like FAQ's for example,
right the accordions. You can mark up those frequently asked
questions using schema, so when the search engines read it,
as well as the large language models, they have more
information about that particular.

Speaker 5 (56:09):
But does say I look at your regular language, your
regular English, like do they look at your website as
a website?

Speaker 12 (56:15):
Yeah? Oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (56:16):
Now one thing that I have found and this is
what I don't know how it happened, but we get
calls now from all over. I mean we We've always
gotten a lot of calls from all over, but specifically
when I got some calls specifically Alaska, Europe, I got
some calls from New York, Florida, so you know the

(56:38):
Carolina is what. So I've been asking a few people,
by the way, how did you find out about us?
And at least three of them told me AI they
went to artificial to artificial intelligence. I think it was Chad,
and they said, where can I get help.

Speaker 6 (56:56):
From my consumer problem?

Speaker 5 (56:58):
And I think the reason I'm showing up is because
it's unique. In other words, it's not like there are
thousands in humor advocates on the radio, right, So I
think that it found it and cataloged it somewhere and
indexed it somewhere. In fact, if I asked certain questions
about myself in AI, it comes back with incredible information

(57:22):
about me. And I played a trick on it. And again,
are my results geared toward me? Or are my results
what you would get to? Are they geared to you?
They're geared to your prior chats? Okay, so when I
trick them, I'm tricking them only for my chats. For example,

(57:44):
I put in information. I said, I heard there's a
guy on radio blah blah blah, and I put some
stuff in about myself. All right, can you tell me
more about them? Next time I went in, I asked
about me and that stuff that I fed to it
came back to me. But that won't come back to

(58:06):
you necessary.

Speaker 11 (58:06):
Right right, because it's in your history, so it'll review
that as.

Speaker 6 (58:09):
So that's kind of fake news. I need to stop
really tell you about.

Speaker 11 (58:13):
Your chat sometimes, or start a new account, a free account,
and then ask it the same question.

Speaker 12 (58:17):
You'll see how it's a little bit different.

Speaker 5 (58:19):
Okay, So in order for a website to show up
in an artificial chat or a restaurant or some business
schema you mentioned mark up, what other things can you do?
I mean, is it just being there out on the
internet that eventually lets you show up. When we did

(58:42):
the search, a guy called in about stairlifts. Okay, the
last thing on my mind was a stairlift, right, So
he wanted to know where can I find a starelift?
So we did a chat on starelifts and I asked
a very simple question. I'm going to go to the question,
and it brought up company. Did it get those companies
from Google?

Speaker 11 (59:04):
So you can see at the bottom, it'll tell you
the sources that it pulls from. But Google is one
of them, for sure. It looks at Google, looks at
next door, it looks at a lot of different sources.

Speaker 5 (59:14):
I said, where can I buy a starelift device for
helping me go to my second floor? And it came
up with companies and the same companies were on your list,
not necessarily in the same.

Speaker 6 (59:26):
Order, although I don't believe the order is in any
kind of ranking.

Speaker 5 (59:31):
Then you asked it, can you rank these according to
customer service or according to what reviews?

Speaker 6 (59:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 12 (59:39):
Yeah, just rank these based on reviews.

Speaker 5 (59:43):
So right now, people listening, if they ask where can
I buy a starelift, will it come up with the
same ones that I came up with?

Speaker 12 (59:54):
Well?

Speaker 11 (59:54):
So another thing that's interesting chat GBT based on your
IP address?

Speaker 12 (59:59):
Thanks were in are beata too, so it'll.

Speaker 11 (01:00:04):
It could be where your where your internet service provider
centers at that's gonna I'm on whatever, but anyway, so
kind of like Google, a geo locates you too, so
it'll also look at right.

Speaker 5 (01:00:16):
Right, it'll show you ocasion, So that could be is
your IP the same when you're on my WiFi as
mine should be?

Speaker 6 (01:00:22):
Yep?

Speaker 5 (01:00:23):
Okay, so we're going to get similar results to someone.
So I'd like to do an experiment with some of
my YouTube morons. I like to pick something YouTube morons,
are you gained for this? I'm going to put it
down here. Let's ask it for something and see how
our results vary. Okay, So I what can we ask about.

(01:00:44):
I don't want to ask about something so common like
a home service or yeah, yeah, that's what I want
to ask, But I want to ask it about something
really weird, not that weird, but like.

Speaker 6 (01:00:57):
Let's think.

Speaker 5 (01:00:58):
Uh, okay, how about this where I'm putting it on
my chat in YouTube, so you guys can copy it
and do it. Where can I buy a good reverse osmosis?

(01:01:19):
I want you, guys to use my exact words, osmosis.

Speaker 6 (01:01:25):
Drinking system drinking.

Speaker 5 (01:01:27):
Wait, where can I buy a good reverse osmosis system
for my kitchen sink?

Speaker 6 (01:01:35):
Okay, guys, it's on the chat. I'm going to put
it on the chat. Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:01:39):
I want you to copy that and do it on
your chat and let me know the results you get.
Where can I buy a good reverse osmosis system for
my kitchen sink? So I'm going to start a new
chat and I'm going to ask it. Okay, let's see
what it brings to me, what it gives me? Okay,

(01:02:02):
I just asked, and we'll talk about this and the
YouTube results right after this. Go with a sure thing
Denver's Best roofer Excel roofing dot com. You don't pay
a cent until you're content. Time for an insurance check

(01:02:23):
up free no obligation. In comparison, call Compass insurance paying
too much your coverage at dozens of insurance companies find
out now three oh three seven seven to one help.
You'll think you're his only customer when you choose Frank
durand the real estate man dot com to list your
home with Remax Alliance three oh three nine two zero
sixteen twenty two.

Speaker 12 (01:02:43):
Because I don't see it, I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:02:44):
Hold on, I don't see it.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (01:02:48):
I'm Tom Martino. You're a troubleshooter.

Speaker 5 (01:02:50):
So I did a question on AI and I'm going
to tell you exactly my recommend What happened to me?
Now was this specifically geared for me? I'd never put
water pros in my AI chats ever water pros okay,
does it? Listen to my radio show, for God's sakes.

(01:03:11):
But here's what I did. Listen to this, where can
I buy a good reverse osmosis system from my kitchen saying?
The very first thing it said was what to look
for in an RO system, and it went for contaminant
removal stages, a filtration flow rate, waterways, space requirements, filter,
replacement costs, and ease.

Speaker 6 (01:03:31):
Then it went to general brands.

Speaker 5 (01:03:35):
It said, here are some of the top brands RO systems,
and it gave me at least ten different No, no,
I'm sorry, one, two.

Speaker 6 (01:03:42):
Three, four, four different five. Oh wait, actually, okay, it
gave me about ten brands, as I said.

Speaker 5 (01:03:50):
Then it says, here are some of the highlights of
those brands. This one will do this, this one will
do that, it'll have fast flow, minimum space, blah blah blah.
Then it says, if you tell me your budget range,
we can narrow down even more. And I said, but
where is a company? I asked the follow up question,
what about full service companies that install reverse osmosis systems.

(01:04:15):
The number one in my answer was water Pros Denver. Now,
water Pros is my company that I advertised for.

Speaker 6 (01:04:26):
Do you think how did it know?

Speaker 5 (01:04:29):
Like, in other words, are you saying came up in
mind because it's a sponsor.

Speaker 6 (01:04:33):
Of mine and I know them.

Speaker 5 (01:04:35):
Or because that would be a weird way to do
search engine if it went by your But I never
put water Pros in my search history before.

Speaker 11 (01:04:47):
Yeah, so I did the same thing. I just I
just said full service companies that install them.

Speaker 12 (01:04:51):
That's all I say.

Speaker 6 (01:04:52):
Okay, full service companies that install them.

Speaker 11 (01:04:54):
I got Plumbline, Yeah, brothers call again than water Pros.

Speaker 6 (01:05:00):
Pro showed up with the big guys up there.

Speaker 12 (01:05:01):
That's yeah, they're on there. Done a couple others.

Speaker 5 (01:05:05):
Mine was water Pros, Spartan, Colorado water Purification, your Plumber, LLC, Culligan,
Flat Irons Love, but water Pros was number one.

Speaker 6 (01:05:14):
Do you let me?

Speaker 5 (01:05:16):
Okay, if I never put my preferences or my companies
or my people that I know in my previous chats,
would it still find out a connection between us because
of radio shows and podcasts and stuff like that or not?

Speaker 11 (01:05:33):
I mean it could and there's a lot of dependencies.
It could be which model you're using. Do you have
add ons, browser add ons that manipulate what you see?
There's a lot of, you know, different things that can
control to a degree what your output is.

Speaker 5 (01:05:47):
Okay, I'm very thrilled though that water Pros came up
in that.

Speaker 12 (01:05:51):
Yeah they're on mine too.

Speaker 5 (01:05:52):
And yeah, and it came up in yours, and it
came up in Bow's as well. Bo did it we
but it and in the top. It came up in
the top five, So that's really pretty cool. In any case,
here's the bottom line. The results are slightly different, but
that would be for Google too, right, Google, slightly different

(01:06:14):
if I searched Google.

Speaker 6 (01:06:15):
Right, Yeah, if I asked the same question.

Speaker 5 (01:06:19):
By the way, I want to know what YouTube YouTubers
found my morons?

Speaker 6 (01:06:23):
Did you do it? And what did you find?

Speaker 5 (01:06:26):
Let's see it associates Tom Martine with water pros. One
guy says, together from the data it pulls online, my
first result was something spring, so and so.

Speaker 8 (01:06:39):
So.

Speaker 6 (01:06:39):
He didn't get that, did I want to know?

Speaker 5 (01:06:42):
Somebody else listed retailers as Amazon, Lowe's home depot. Those
are you know, some of the bigger ones. And somebody
else said this is a regular text, said I use perplexity,
and it showed water pro. So the different search engines,

(01:07:05):
excuse me, large language models will show different things. But
here's what I'm asking. Am I correct in my assumption
that more and more people will use AI? Do you
think there will be a time when we're even owner's manuals?

Speaker 6 (01:07:22):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (01:07:22):
I have garment Pilot that I use to navigate in
my helicopter. I use it on the iPad on my computer,
and I have an installed radio that has Garment Pilot.

Speaker 6 (01:07:34):
That's the app.

Speaker 5 (01:07:36):
I am tired of searching through its help menu because
you have to go through a help menu is ridiculous
when you consider AI. I simply use AI now as
its help manual. I use AI for most help manuals.
I have a bespoke washer dryer combination that does some
steam sanitation and dry cleaning. I don't even bother going

(01:08:00):
into that stupid user manual. User manuals are cumbersome.

Speaker 6 (01:08:04):
I simply ask it.

Speaker 5 (01:08:06):
I want to do three wool sweaters on my beast spoke.

Speaker 6 (01:08:10):
How do I do it? It gives me five steps? Boom,
I'm done.

Speaker 5 (01:08:15):
Do you think why aren't owner's manuals converting to AI?

Speaker 12 (01:08:20):
I think they will.

Speaker 11 (01:08:21):
And it's interesting you bring that up because think about
websites today are like that owner's manual, So websites are
going to be changing.

Speaker 5 (01:08:30):
I want to talk about that and again retail stores,
but I have to take a break. This is a
fascinating topic, folks. You know, going through an owner's manual
is like like.

Speaker 6 (01:08:39):
Driving a model T forward.

Speaker 5 (01:08:41):
I mean, why would you bother stumbling through the damn
thing or the index trying to find what you need.
I mean, think about that in an owner's manual. With
something very complicated, you simply ask a question and it
tells you the answer instead. More right after this, go
with a sure thing Denver's Best Roofer Excel Roofing dot com.

Speaker 6 (01:09:04):
You don't pay a cent until you're content.

how will a website be different using AI?

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Now?

Speaker 12 (01:10:09):
Like the user manual players talking about it?

Speaker 6 (01:10:12):
Right, you have to flip.

Speaker 5 (01:10:13):
Through yeah, navigation, You got to go through menus. You
got to figure out first of all, where the hell
is it? Some of them put web site maps up
there because you have to drill down.

Speaker 6 (01:10:25):
So you're saying it'll just be a search. You just
ask it a question.

Speaker 5 (01:10:32):
You can ask do you come to our vada?

Speaker 6 (01:10:35):
You can ask do you do this?

Speaker 2 (01:10:36):
Do you do?

If you're wondering what will my house sell for? What
will I net?

Speaker 5 (01:12:22):
Frank Duran, The real Estate Man dot Com threeh three
nine two zero sixteen twenty two.

Speaker 6 (01:12:30):
So AI.

Speaker 5 (01:12:33):
Is changing the world, and I did this show because
a lot of people are now doing websites and they're
also doing search engine optimization based on old technology.

Speaker 6 (01:12:48):
While Google still is pretty.

Speaker 5 (01:12:51):
Consistently a leader in search engines, the market share taken
by chad is frightening. Frightening Chad is where you go
in and you can search by answering, by asking a question.

Speaker 6 (01:13:07):
I went in and said, where can I find.

Speaker 5 (01:13:09):
A good reverse osmosis system for my kitchen sink?

Speaker 6 (01:13:13):
You can go in and ask it anything.

Speaker 5 (01:13:15):
You don't have to worry about Google and it's weird algorithms.
So with a website, you want to make sure it's
optimized for artificial intelligence. In fact, think about this when
you go to a website. Have you ever gone to

(01:13:36):
a website and you think, oh God, You're overwhelmed by
the menus. You don't know which menu treat to follow
to get to what you need.

Speaker 6 (01:13:43):
You're not sure if they need what you need.

Speaker 5 (01:13:46):
If you do a search of their site, it comes
up with all kinds of weird results.

Speaker 6 (01:13:52):
Think about it, like referral list referral list dot com.

Speaker 5 (01:13:56):
You got to drill down to all the different categories.
What if you just put on there is I'm looking
for this boom and it brings up my referral list
members that do that or associated with that. So Sean
Hakes is with me, He's with Simpler with a y
Simpler dot com that's s y mp L e R.

(01:14:17):
He does search engine optimization, website building, commercial digital marketing,
all kinds of stuff relating to the Internet, and he's
been doing it for.

Speaker 6 (01:14:27):
Years and years and years.

Speaker 5 (01:14:29):
Sean says, they're developing websites now that are hybrid the
normal website with that ridiculous menu tree, you know, and
it is a menu tree you got to drill down
to find what you want.

Speaker 6 (01:14:43):
But instead of doing that, it's AI based. So explain
how that works, Sean.

Speaker 11 (01:14:48):
Yeah, So you hit the website and typically you'll see
like a hero banner or something like that, you know,
that kind of cycles through specials and things like that.

Speaker 2 (01:14:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:14:56):
Instead, it's a chat box that you just ask it
directly what you want and then it drills down the.

Speaker 6 (01:15:03):
Website for you.

Speaker 12 (01:15:05):
Yeah, it pulls whatever you want out.

Speaker 5 (01:15:06):
So if you go to like Plumbline Services and you
say do you do this or where can I find this?

Speaker 6 (01:15:13):
And it searches their site.

Speaker 12 (01:15:16):
Right, Yeah.

Speaker 11 (01:15:16):
Yeah, So it loads it up into the database and
it you know, you can redirect them to another link.
You can integrate it with the booking system so they
can book immediately right there from the chat instead of
having to call someone to setting appointment.

Speaker 5 (01:15:28):
There is going to be a massive market out there
for rebuilding websites.

Speaker 6 (01:15:34):
There is, yeah, and it's it's s hard. Are people
doing them now?

Speaker 5 (01:15:37):
Are there any fully AI websites right now?

Speaker 11 (01:15:39):
They're yeah, they're getting there. So I mean we're kind
of shifting. I mean we have to do the hybrid
approach right now. Google's still by far the market leader
right now as far as sheer, search volume and traffic
and things like that, which is why you still have
to have that old convention site, yeah, where they can remember.

Speaker 5 (01:15:57):
What Google does now is they literally look at your menus,
and the more logical your menus, the higher you're ranked.

Speaker 6 (01:16:04):
You still have to do that.

Speaker 5 (01:16:06):
But what about people who simply want to go to
a site and find something. The idea of indexing, you know,
like with an owner's manual. Sometimes I'll go to the index.
I have a lock on my door that is electronic. Okay,
it's or it's a digital lock, I should say. And
that digital lock, you can change the code for getting

(01:16:30):
in the door. Right to change that code, you have
an owner's manual on an app.

Speaker 6 (01:16:35):
How do you find out how to change the code?

Speaker 5 (01:16:37):
Well, I go to the index and I look for code,
the word code, and then it brings up all kinds
of chapters where the word code is used, and I
look for the chapter that talks about programming the code.
Now I go to that paragraph and it's a pain
in the ass. So I have to teach myself. I
have to find it in the owner's manual. Ever looked

(01:17:00):
at your automobile, your car's owner's manual. If I wanted
to change something, or I wanted to find out what
a button is, you have to search through the owner's
manual page after page, or go to the index.

Speaker 6 (01:17:14):
The index is my friend. Where I find a.

Speaker 5 (01:17:16):
Word and then I drill down to the paragraph and
find what I want. I want an owner's manual where
I can simply say, how do I reset my tripodometer?

Speaker 6 (01:17:30):
Period?

Speaker 12 (01:17:31):
That's what I want. Yeah, I think I don't even
think you would.

Speaker 11 (01:17:34):
I mean having an owner's manual might not be relevant
because you can you can take a picture of whatever
it is that you want to fix, put it into
Chat GPT.

Speaker 6 (01:17:43):
And just say no, that's true. I mean Chat is
the owner's manual for me.

Speaker 5 (01:17:47):
I use Chat right now for every major appliance and
appliance I have I never open an owner's manual anymore.

Speaker 6 (01:17:55):
Ever, I look at I was in my.

Speaker 5 (01:18:00):
On my one of my airplanes had a problem, and
I put in all of the symptoms, and it found
the problem and told me where to look.

Speaker 6 (01:18:11):
And it was exactly as they said it would be.

Speaker 5 (01:18:13):
Think about what you think about all you can do
with AI. Now, having said all of that, why would
you want to look through an owner's manual. I hate
owner's manuals. So I think they're going to replace owner's manuals.
I think AI will replace the menu structure of a
website when you go to a website theoretically in the future.

(01:18:36):
Right now, you still have to have the old menus
for Google. But theoretically in the future, it'll be a
one page site.

Speaker 6 (01:18:44):
Welcome to so and so, Right, isn't that really?

Speaker 12 (01:18:48):
Yeah, Yeah, you're and it'll.

Speaker 11 (01:18:50):
Only bring up what you ask Yeah, And each experience
might be unique to that specific user, So what you
see might be different than what I see.

Speaker 5 (01:18:58):
And so when I put and if I went to
plumbline plumbline dot com or plumbline Services dot com plumb line,
I go to plumb line, right, and I pull up
I'm looking for a high efficiency furnace. Okay, so I
ask Plumbline about the high efficiency furnace and it says,

(01:19:20):
welcome back, Tom. How is that water heater? I mean
it could literally look and know me from their customer
or their customer management system.

Speaker 6 (01:19:29):
Right.

Speaker 11 (01:19:30):
You could integrate it with that. You could integrate it
with cookies. I mean a lot of different ways to.

Speaker 6 (01:19:35):
But think about it.

Speaker 5 (01:19:36):
I mean, to me, that's an incredible enhancement. Rather than having,
rather than having a website where you have to go
down to the menus and figure out what you're doing,
there would be no more menus. I mean, ideally there
would be no more menus. I mean wouldn't you say that?

Speaker 12 (01:19:55):
Yeah, it's instant information.

Speaker 5 (01:19:57):
So now talking about retail, how will it change retail?

Speaker 6 (01:20:03):
Would it be possible? Is it possible to actually.

Speaker 5 (01:20:07):
Have theory in theory, not in theory in reality? Is
it possible to have a store where you walk in
and you can order something and look at things? And
if so, what would you do about security? What would
you do about all of that stuff? And what would

(01:20:28):
you do about payment? What would you do about looking
for what you want? And where would you look? I
mean you say you're designing that right now in Castle Rock,
I want to talk about that. I'd like to know
what people think about it. And again, if you have
a website that you would like us to look at,
we'll also do that.

Speaker 6 (01:20:47):
But think about future websites.

Speaker 5 (01:20:50):
One page, you go on the page and you say
blah blah blah, and it just brings up what you need.
No need for hundreds and hundreds of pages, index through
a drop down menu half the time. Not logical anyway, It.

Speaker 6 (01:21:08):
Will revolutionize it.

Speaker 5 (01:21:10):
As I said, owner's manuals will be a thing of
the past. Why have an owner's manual? Why can anyone
tell me? Even I call them that my old farts
on YouTube because they are very, very slow to change.
They are very very conventional on everything. YouTube morons tell me,

(01:21:30):
wouldn't you much rather have an AI model and ignore
all of the drilling down of words and trying to
figure out where they put the information? I think the
worst of all of them, the worst of all of
them are car owner manuals. Just a simple thing in

(01:21:51):
a car takes minutes and minutes and minutes.

Speaker 6 (01:21:55):
Of trying to find it.

Speaker 5 (01:21:57):
Really, try one time to look up something in your
car's owner's manual, and I'm talking about the newer cars
with all the fancy crap in it. Try to figure
out how to do something in your car. I had
something I wanted to change a display on my car.
I swear to god, it took me forty minutes to
find it, and I was drilling down to each menu item,

(01:22:20):
each indexed item, and then they have the most cumbersome
paragraphs explaining how to do it. I went to my
AI and I said, how do I change the display
from this to this?

Speaker 6 (01:22:35):
Boom?

Speaker 5 (01:22:36):
It told me in five seconds and gave me step
by step. So again, things will be much simpler as
we go forward. Three oh three seven one, three eight,

Speaker 6 (01:23:28):
I'm Tom Martino.

Speaker 5 (01:23:30):
You're troubleshooter, always on the forefront of technology and information,
and I want to talk about retail right now.

Speaker 6 (01:23:39):
How would an AI retail store look.

Speaker 5 (01:23:42):
Sean is actually designing one right now for floor coverings,
right yeah, yeah, for floors. But basically I envision an
AI store something like in McDonald's. I've seen where you
walk into a kiosk, you put in what you want,
then you pay with a credit card and go to

(01:24:05):
the counter and.

Speaker 6 (01:24:06):
Pick it up.

Speaker 5 (01:24:07):
Except there was a person at the counter and there
was a person assembling it in the back.

Speaker 6 (01:24:12):
However, that will be no problem whatsoever to.

Speaker 5 (01:24:15):
Have an assembly line where a burger sits there, goes through,
gets cook, comes out, goes on a bun and adds
the ingredients you just put into the kiosk, wraps it
up and throws it out on the counter. I can
see that be all AI. I think that's where things
are going. What about you?

Speaker 12 (01:24:32):
Yeah, and with the with the floor I mean with the
floor company star.

Speaker 6 (01:24:35):
First of all, I walk up to the store.

Speaker 5 (01:24:37):
What's going to keep people from walking and sleeping there
or or just you know, stealing stuff.

Speaker 11 (01:24:44):
Yes, it'd be a little bit of a process. So
you're at your house. Let's say you're researching a flooring company,
you'd have an app. The app would allow you to
measure your floors. You'd speak with that virtual age.

Speaker 6 (01:24:55):
You can you can measure your floors with Lida right
now with your phone.

Speaker 11 (01:24:58):
Yeah, if you have a newer phone, and they typically
have wide are built in, so you don't need someone
to come.

Speaker 12 (01:25:02):
Into your home anymore to measure your floors.

Speaker 11 (01:25:04):
And it can walk you through how to do it correctly,
like moving shoes and things that are maybe on the
floor that would hinder the results, but anyway, and then
you can interview with the chat agent about what type
of flooring are you looking for LVP are you looking
for LAMB? Before you even go to the store, Before
you even go narrow it down. You show up at
the store. So with the app, you would require to

(01:25:25):
connect like a credit card for incidentals things like that.
You'd go to the store, you'd unlock the door with
the Bluetooth device on your phone through the app, and
you'd have a time session there. You walk in, you're
introduced by the AI agent maybe on a TV something
like that Hey, mister Martinez.

Speaker 5 (01:25:40):
Hey, welcome Tom, you know, and then the door locks
behind you, so you're the only one in.

Speaker 12 (01:25:45):
There, locks behind you.

Speaker 5 (01:25:46):
So you make appointments and you go to the store
in your appointment slot and you're there alone.

Speaker 6 (01:25:52):
The AI agent greets you, and then what I'm looking for?

Speaker 12 (01:25:55):
Then, I'm looking.

Speaker 6 (01:25:56):
For a certain kind of floors.

Speaker 11 (01:25:58):
So based on your conversation previously, it'll highlight.

Speaker 12 (01:26:03):
The displays that it wants you to look at, say, you.

Speaker 11 (01:26:06):
Know, welcome, and you'll have and tile and all of that.
We've highlighted all the displays in blue.

Speaker 5 (01:26:12):
And you don't have to worry so much about theft
and a floor covering store because you're only going to
have samples.

Speaker 11 (01:26:17):
Yeah, samples and easily replaced. So then what so you
can you can scan the actual individual products and the
wrap will pop up talking about the products. You can
ask the AI agent in the store, which would be
you know, just microphones and speakers that you're talking.

Speaker 5 (01:26:33):
To, Uh so, how does this hold up under traffic
or how would this be? You know, whatever, you ask
you questions about the floor covering.

Speaker 11 (01:26:43):
Yeah, yeah, and it would you know, it'd be a
very specific you mean as far as how they as
system would.

Speaker 6 (01:26:49):
Handle it about. Yeah, I'm a consumer and I want questions.
I say, does this LV? Does this lvp Uh? How
is it with dog with dogs walking on it?

Speaker 11 (01:27:00):
Yeah, So we'll install a very in depth knowledge base
about every single product, whether it's the carpet.

Speaker 5 (01:27:06):
Okay, I asked my questions and then I decide on one.

Speaker 11 (01:27:09):
Then on Yeah, So in this particular one, there's going
to be a design center, so you can go, like
if you have a picture of your house, you can
throw it up on the big screen and then start
swiping the products that you want to see in your house,
so you can see a visualization of.

Speaker 6 (01:27:23):
It on a screen on a screen.

Speaker 11 (01:27:25):
And then for the people that want to take it
a step further, maybe take a sample back to their house,
they can check them out like you would a library
book at the library. And then and then all through
the app, you can schedule the appointment, you can select
your floor, and it'll give you a price because it'll
have the measurements. And then really the only people interaction

(01:27:45):
would be with the installers. However, you know, if you
would if you wanted to speak to a real person,
a real sales agent, you could do that as well,
so it kind of cater to both.

Speaker 5 (01:27:56):
And so you could literally go into a floor covering store,
make a selection, find out or find out information, make
a selection, purchase it, and then the next thing you know,
installers are showing up to put it in right.

Speaker 11 (01:28:09):
And and the cost of the flooring would be quite
a bit less because now you have significantly less overhead
as well.

Speaker 5 (01:28:15):
I mean, think about all the steps it saves. We
I think food fast food service will be one of
the first industries we see all AI, don't you.

Speaker 12 (01:28:26):
Yeah, think about it. They're probably eighty percent there already.

Speaker 5 (01:28:30):
No, really, the only thing you have you have young
people in the back fixing the food and then taking
They literally put the bag on the counter with your
number on it and you come and get your food.
So the preparation of that food would have to be
more automated.

Speaker 6 (01:28:47):
And you know they're working on that right now. You
know they are.

Speaker 12 (01:28:50):
I haven't heard and roofing.

Speaker 11 (01:28:52):
They're building a like an AI robot to replace roofs. So,
I mean, you never know which industry is going to
be hit next.

Speaker 5 (01:29:00):
Oh, you're talking about the actual labor, the labor side
of it.

Speaker 6 (01:29:03):
The labor size in them.

Speaker 5 (01:29:05):
The service side, I can see it happening. I mean,
I can see where AI can be used for intake
interviews for almost every company there is. I mean, now
people on YouTube are saying they'd rather interact.

Speaker 6 (01:29:18):
They don't want to interact with AIM. And sometimes when
I call.

Speaker 5 (01:29:21):
I called the place one time and they didn't try
to trick me. They said, I am your AI assistant.
Ask me anything. So I did, and it was actually
pretty knowledgeable, and then it connected me to a person
at the end. But it did most of the interviewing,
so the person had an idea of what I was
calling about.

Speaker 11 (01:29:42):
It helps the experience be more consistent a lot of times.
But AI is getting so good that a lot of
times unless it announces it like that, which is good.

Speaker 6 (01:29:54):
But sometimes Hotel, I know, I know.

Speaker 5 (01:29:57):
So what kind of stores do you envision having total
AI experience?

Speaker 6 (01:30:04):
Floor coverings lend itself pretty well. What else? I mean
there could be other home services?

Speaker 11 (01:30:10):
Yeah, I mean there's some apps to where you can
go scan if you're having issues in your home, you
can scan those problems, get them uploaded, and get them diagnosed.

Speaker 6 (01:30:19):
What about appliances?

Speaker 5 (01:30:20):
I can see no reason to ever talk to anyone
about an appliance.

Speaker 12 (01:30:23):
For sure, that would be a pretty easy one to do.

Speaker 5 (01:30:25):
I mean, right now, if you think about it, with
the searching on the internet or AI and stuff, when
you go to a source, sometimes you already know what
you want, right right, I mean, it's almost like a
trip to the store is useless. I mean, if you
want to look at the physical item, you can. And
Amazon is doing a lot to condition people. It used
to be we had to be somewhere, touch it and

(01:30:48):
feel it to really buy it. Amazon took away the
touching and feeling. They really did. Amazon conditioned us all
in the convenience. Oh there's almost nothing I can't get
the next day. There's almost nothing. So why wouldn't you
be able to do that on Amazon? Why go to

(01:31:10):
a store at all? With floor coverings? I mean, you know,
really you could do almost all of it online without
going to a store.

Speaker 12 (01:31:18):
You could.

Speaker 11 (01:31:18):
If you know exactly what you want, you don't need
to touch and feel it. You could do it online.
I mean you could even to a degree virtually do
it online. You know with apps, you know, you can
scan your floor, replace the floor coverings with whatever you
choose through the virtuals.

Speaker 5 (01:31:33):
There will be some growing pains, Like when you measure
your floor and it sees a sofa there, does it
assume the floor covering goes under the sofa or around
the sofa.

Speaker 11 (01:31:42):
So the way that we're building it, it would recognize
if there's something blocking the wall lines. So I'll tell you,
you know, to get an accurate measurement, you have to
move that item so it can scan the floor. Okay,
I'll follow the baseboards, you know, whatever, whatever it's on
the ground. So if there's shoes sitting there, it'll say
remove the shoes.

Speaker 5 (01:32:00):
Okay, although I imagine it could interpolate what.

Speaker 6 (01:32:07):
Goes from point A to point B behind the couch.

Speaker 11 (01:32:10):
A yeah, just like Teslas do with you know, the
vision as far as assuming there's a car in front
of the car.

Speaker 6 (01:32:17):
In front of you.

Speaker 5 (01:32:18):
And by the way, speaking of cars, I can think
of no reason in the world for car dealers anymore.
Service centers, yes, but why a car dealer, Why would
you have to sit down and.

Speaker 6 (01:32:29):
Talk to a salesperson.

Speaker 5 (01:32:31):
Tesla basically has taken that model from manufacturer to consumer.

Speaker 6 (01:32:36):
I mean, I see that happening very soon. In the
auto business.

Speaker 5 (01:32:40):
Autos are very easy now to schedule a test drive
and things like that.

Speaker 6 (01:32:44):
That might be a little weird, you know, you walk in.

Speaker 5 (01:32:47):
You know again, you always have to worry about security
and thievery and all of that. But I don't see
why you couldn't go to a car dealer and basically
look at all the floor models and pick a car,
pay for a car, and take delivery of a car.

Speaker 6 (01:33:04):
Why you need a salesperson at all?

Speaker 5 (01:33:06):
I mean, now, obviously the old fashioned horse trading salespeople.
They want to be there to try to upsell you
on things. But I think those days are numbered.

Speaker 6 (01:33:16):
I do.

Speaker 5 (01:33:17):
I think car dealers could be virtual like Tesla, take
the Tesla model and basically buy a car. I mean,
I would love to be able to go to a dealership,
look at cars, pick one I like, and buy it.

Speaker 11 (01:33:31):
I think the trouble with that is the state has
to catch up to the technology, you know, as far
as having a licensed right that's salesperson.

Speaker 12 (01:33:40):
Do the paperwork and things like that.

Speaker 11 (01:33:41):
But once the state catches up, that would be seems
like a slam dunk.

Speaker 5 (01:33:46):
Yeah, And I think that speaking of that, DMV, I
mean I can think of no reason someone is at
the DMV department except to piss you off. I mean,
when you go to a DMV a department, you go
up there to register a car, it wants to see
certain documents and it spits out a registration.

Speaker 6 (01:34:07):
Why do we need a clerk there?

Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
Why?

Speaker 5 (01:34:10):
In fact, that's something that should be done online too. Again,
when scanners become more sophisticated, that's the whole part, is
when people have to look at things, look at documents.
You know, that's one of the weak spots. But I
can see that happening in the future where DMV is virtual.

Speaker 6 (01:34:30):
Or when I say virtual.

Speaker 5 (01:34:31):
That doesn't mean there's no There could be a kiosk
for example, you feed your old registration through it, or
you feed your new form you got from the car
dealer in order to register it. Do you think right
now technology is working on replacing people as much as possible.

Speaker 12 (01:34:50):
Yeah, I mean people probably won't say it, but you know,
AI has definitely come.

Speaker 6 (01:34:56):
It's going to take jobs.

Speaker 11 (01:34:59):
What jobs is It'll take the jobs of the people
that don't want to work anyway, right, but you know,
but the people that truly do enjoy working, you know,
there'll I think there'll always be a place for them.

Speaker 5 (01:35:12):
But right now, though, what about coding and what about
technology jobs?

Speaker 6 (01:35:18):
Is AI a substitute?

Speaker 11 (01:35:20):
Yeah, I mean I would if I was reliant just
on being a coder, I would be concerned.

Speaker 12 (01:35:25):
For sure.

Speaker 6 (01:35:26):
It can actually code, it can yeah, and.

Speaker 12 (01:35:28):
You can have it build out. You know, there's a
lot of Can.

Speaker 6 (01:35:32):
You show it a website design and then it'll code
it to make it? Can you can?

Speaker 11 (01:35:36):
You can take a screenshot of a site and say, hey,
I really like this website. Can you create one similar
with all your business information in there? And it'll generate
the HTML. And now you still have to know a
little bit of tech. You need to how web servers work.

Speaker 2 (01:35:49):
How up?

Speaker 6 (01:35:50):
Yeah, this was in its infancy.

Speaker 5 (01:35:52):
Think about I mean, there was a time we never
thought a large language model would exist, let alone happen.
And now it's in its infant and we're already thinking
about ways it's going to replace people. We have more
coming up three O three, seven to one, three talks,
seven to one, three, eight, two five five. It's a
scary new world, isn't it. By the way, Dan McKenzie

(01:36:12):
will do a will or an estate plan for you.
I don't think they've figured out how AI can do
that yet, Dan mackenzie truly, if you're looking to leave
an estate, if you're looking to bypass that, maybe a
charitable trust.

Speaker 6 (01:36:24):
Whatever it is.

Speaker 5 (01:36:25):
When it comes to a state planning, Dan McKenzie can
do it from a simple will to a trust to
maybe even an LLC to help pass on your property.
That's one creative way he's come up with. McKenzie law

troubleshooter three O three seven one three talk three O
three seven one three eight two five five. We're talking
about how technology and AI will change things it's it's
really remarkable. If Sean hakes with me, he's doing a
lot of a lot of development in AI. Of course
he also does search engine optimization. The company is simpler

(01:37:54):
s Y M P L E R. So do you
think there will be a site sometime? We can go
and pick a template, put in our original information and
it spits out a website completely.

Speaker 6 (01:38:10):
Do you think that'll happen?

Speaker 11 (01:38:13):
Yeah, so we already actually have an AI agent that
you talk to. It interviews you about your business, and
then based on that, it'll spit out a website almost instantly.

Speaker 12 (01:38:23):
So it's it's already out.

Speaker 11 (01:38:26):
And you can also if you have certain websites you like,
you can screenshot them and add it to the system
and it'll.

Speaker 6 (01:38:32):
You have that right now. Ye When are you going
to unveil it for the public.

Speaker 11 (01:38:37):
It's available. It's available, Yeah, yep. Does it ask you?

Speaker 5 (01:38:41):
It asks you questions enabled your company? Do you upload logos?

Speaker 6 (01:38:46):
What? Yep?

Speaker 11 (01:38:46):
So it'll look at your logo, It'll look at your
topography or typography, the font style, things like that, your colors.
If you have brand guidelines, you can upload that so
when it writes the content, it'll write in your.

Speaker 6 (01:38:57):
Voice and it will spit out a website.

Speaker 12 (01:39:00):
A website.

Speaker 5 (01:39:01):
Yeah, what and what kind of a website?

Speaker 6 (01:39:05):
Is it? WordPress basa?

Speaker 11 (01:39:06):
It'll it'll build out a fully custom WordPress theme.

Speaker 5 (01:39:11):
It'll even Uh do you get to pick templates beforehand?

Speaker 11 (01:39:14):
Or does it do it for you? It does it
for you based on what you tell it. So the
more information you provide it, the better the website is.

Speaker 2 (01:39:22):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (01:39:24):
So somebody literally right now can do that? You are you?
Are you actually doing them right now?

Speaker 12 (01:39:28):
We are? I just did one yesterday.

Speaker 6 (01:39:31):
Now do the people do it or do you do
it for them?

Speaker 12 (01:39:34):
They do it?

Speaker 11 (01:39:34):
So they interview with the agent. We set them up
in the you know as an account with our AI engine.
They interview with the agent and then head go and
you know, and and the price for one of those
sites and they're nice, they're you know, professional sites are
a fraction of what what if.

Speaker 5 (01:39:49):
I want to redo one of my sites and I
want to do that? So what would the cost be
if I have a website?

Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
Now?

Speaker 5 (01:39:55):
Can it go in and look at my website and
improve it? You can do that too, Yeah, what would
that cost? I would I mean, I'd like to see it.
In other words, I would like to see what it
does with my website.

Speaker 11 (01:40:07):
So we're doing ten page custom sites with it and
they start about three ninety nine and you come on
three ninety nine dollars.

Speaker 5 (01:40:15):
Yeah, I want to definitely try. Here's here's what I want.
I have a website that will remain un unnamed, but
I have a website, one of my many websites for businesses,
and somebody says, Tom, we love your business, we love
what it does, but the website needs improvement.

Speaker 2 (01:40:33):
Now.

Speaker 6 (01:40:34):
I have heard that from a lot of people.

Speaker 5 (01:40:36):
By the way, it's not Troubleshooter or it's not referral
List or any of those, but it's one of my
offshoot businesses. And I don't know what they mean. But
I know people who know websites. They you know, you
can ask ten people, you get ten opinions, right. I mean,
there's always something that can be done. But if I
wanted to throw this site into your into your thing,

(01:40:57):
how does it? What would I have to do? Give
it act? It says to my site like there are
people listening right now. I know there are, and they
have businesses and they have websites that they designed and
they don't like them.

Speaker 6 (01:41:09):
So I think you could.

Speaker 5 (01:41:11):
How do you give your app access to the site
to do it?

Speaker 12 (01:41:17):
So it builds it out on a development environment.

Speaker 11 (01:41:19):
And then if you're on WordPress, for an example, it'll
you can connect your WordPress account, it'll push it here hosting.

Speaker 5 (01:41:26):
But how does it look at your current site? Do
you just give it the RL?

Speaker 12 (01:41:30):
Yeah, just give the r L.

Speaker 11 (01:41:31):
It'll pull all the information off you. If you don't
have a website, you write this, this isn't one that
I wrote.

Speaker 12 (01:41:37):
It's one of our partners that did though.

Speaker 5 (01:41:40):
So you give it a r L and says improve
and you say improve this website.

Speaker 11 (01:41:44):
Yes, and get this too. You can put heat mapping software.
It's like hot jar or Microsoft. It records user sessions
and engagement, creates heat maps in your site, so what
people are engaging with and not.

Speaker 12 (01:41:57):
And the next level is.

Speaker 11 (01:41:58):
You can set the site so adapts automatically to use
their experience. So if you're if your button, let's say,
like get a free quote, isn't converting, it'll start changing
the colors of it and things like that, start testing,
like ab testing.

Speaker 8 (01:42:12):
Come on.

Speaker 6 (01:42:14):
People.

Speaker 5 (01:42:14):
So if people right now listening want to do this,
they just have to call you. Yep, you're ready to Okay,
you're not BS and host people are Okay, I know
he's not.

Speaker 6 (01:42:23):
I'm just kidding. Simpler. What's your phone number? Do you're going?

Speaker 12 (01:42:27):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (01:42:27):
Man, Okay, let's just go to Simpler dot com.

Speaker 12 (01:42:29):

Speaker 6 (01:42:30):
Yeah, Simpler. I love a guy, a brainiac who doesn't
know his own number.

Speaker 2 (01:42:35):
I love.

Speaker 6 (01:42:35):
I honestly got Can you can give him Rob's number?

Speaker 8 (01:42:38):

Speaker 2 (01:42:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (01:42:38):
No, and I'm gonna give I'm gonna go to Simpler

I'm running out of time. What's going on with your

Speaker 9 (01:43:08):
It looks like they're probably going to pay it.

legal department information so that it could file a small

Speaker 5 (01:44:26):
I was in the hunting business for decades hunting. When
we would send out emails to dealers in stores, anyone
with a Gmail account would never get our emails because
the words gun or firearm were in them. Google would
just make the emails vanish and never delivered. Google is

(01:44:48):
pure trash many other good search engines.

Speaker 6 (01:44:51):
Okay, does Google.

Speaker 5 (01:44:54):
Literally look at content and filter based on content content?

Speaker 12 (01:45:00):
That's a big piece.

Speaker 6 (01:45:01):
But would they do it with a Gmail account? Do
you think? I just never heard of that ever.

Speaker 5 (01:45:06):
But they said that when they sent out they were
in the gun in the hunting business, and when they
sent out emails with the words guns and firearms, it
would censor them. Does it sensor websites for content for
paid ads?

Speaker 6 (01:45:20):
It does for paid Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:45:22):

All right, Marvin has an issue with steering.

Speaker 5 (01:47:09):
I'll bring up our car expert, Kevin Caulkin from Sheridan
Auto Tech.

Speaker 6 (01:47:13):
What's going on, Marvin? What's happening?

Speaker 8 (01:47:18):
Just I'm being pushed around and ignored.

Speaker 5 (01:47:21):
I suppose what's happening? Talk about your problem?

Speaker 8 (01:47:26):
I bought a car from Meco Park.

Speaker 6 (01:47:28):
And now was it new or used?

Speaker 8 (01:47:31):
It's a used car as a.

Speaker 6 (01:47:33):
Twenty eighteen, twenty eighteen?

Speaker 8 (01:47:36):
What on an HRV?

Speaker 6 (01:47:40):
Okay, they're pretty good cars. What happened?

Speaker 8 (01:47:44):
I want?

Speaker 1 (01:47:44):
I want?

Speaker 8 (01:47:45):
On the test drive, it seemed like, you know, the
cars just be it would do the job. It just
has to get me to and from work.

Speaker 6 (01:47:54):
It's nothing matter how many miles, how many miles on.

Speaker 8 (01:47:57):
This sixty eight thousand?

Speaker 6 (01:48:00):
Okay? All right? And uh so, so did you have
it checked out before you bought it?

Speaker 8 (01:48:08):
Ill ased a lot and uh And I went to
the lot to buy it, and I test drove it
with the one of the dealers. And when I was driving,
the steering well was you know, not in linement with
the car. The aligneman was okay because it wasn't fulling
or nothing, but at the steering wheel was turned, you know,

(01:48:30):
with the right side at like one o'clock and the
left side at about seven o'clock, so it was not
centered right. And so I asked him to do that
when I came, you know, I did. I was just
looking then test driving that night, and I was pretty
much sold on it, and I said I'll come by
tomorrow with some money, and I think we'll take it.

(01:48:51):
And I came by the next day to purchase the car,
and when I took it or out to drive, I
came back and reminded them that they didn't have that
steering Will's.

Speaker 5 (01:49:08):
Centered okay, but Marvin, was that after you bought it
or before you bought it?

Speaker 8 (01:49:13):
The second time it was it was while I was
making the purchase. While I was making the purchase, they
said we can fix that now, and I said, okay,
go ahead and fix it now. And while it was,
they have a shop there, and so they were working
on it as we're doing the paperwork for the bill
of sale.

Speaker 6 (01:49:32):
Then what So I bought.

Speaker 8 (01:49:35):
The car and then the car was it was finished,
and when I drove home, I could tell it wasn't right,
and then when I drove the next day it was
still it was.

Speaker 5 (01:49:45):
Can I ask you why what possessed you to buy
a car and not have it checked out by an
independent mechanic.

Speaker 8 (01:49:56):
Because I can tell if it's right or wrong pretty much.

Speaker 6 (01:50:00):
Well, you didn't.

Speaker 8 (01:50:02):
Well, I knew it was wrong, and that's why I
had him repair it. And when they repaired it, it
was still wrong.

Speaker 5 (01:50:09):
And I yeah, but you want to, Marvin, I can't
defend what you did. You you bought it, be you
bought it before you verified it was fixed.

Speaker 6 (01:50:21):
And guess what you did? You bought it. I'll bet
you as is.

Speaker 8 (01:50:24):
Right, something like that. Yeah, probably with him?

Speaker 6 (01:50:30):
So what have you? Here's what I need to know?
When did this happen?

Speaker 8 (01:50:36):
Last week?

Speaker 6 (01:50:37):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (01:50:38):
Now what I want to know is this? What did
it turn out to be.

Speaker 8 (01:50:48):
As far as to get it repaired? Right?

Speaker 6 (01:50:51):
Yeah? Did you find out what the hey?

Speaker 5 (01:50:53):
Kevin Caulkin shared an auto tech when A when a
when a steering wheel isn't centered?

Speaker 10 (01:50:59):
Was it?

Speaker 6 (01:50:59):
What's that? Usually a sign of Kevin?

Speaker 2 (01:51:02):
Well?

Speaker 13 (01:51:04):
Possibly damage? But I mean I would start with an
alignment because we aligned the car to the steering wheel.
I mean, everything has to be an alignment when we're
talking exactly.

Speaker 8 (01:51:12):
So yeah, so.

Speaker 6 (01:51:14):
What did it turn out to be? Marvin?

Speaker 8 (01:51:17):
They never gave me anything because I took it back
to him and on a Saturday or whatever, and they
or I took it back and they said, Okay, we'll
have somebody else do it, and they had somebody else
to do it. And then when I took it home
and even driving home, I turned it right back, and
I said, hey, your mechanic didn't fix it. And the

(01:51:40):
mechanic came out and said, I fixed it. It's right,
And I said it's not right. He says it is,
and I said, well it's not and I'm not going
to sit and argue because I can tell if that
certain will is straight across and if it is or not.
And he said it's right because he did it. And
I said, well, I need.

Speaker 5 (01:51:57):
Somebody, all right, Marvin, Okay, I get it. It went back
and forth and back and forth, and back and forth
and back and forth.

Speaker 6 (01:52:03):
But where does it stand right now?

Speaker 8 (01:52:07):
It's still over there because I took it back. They
said I could take it over and have somebody do
it Saturday. So Saturday I took it over there.

Speaker 6 (01:52:15):
It's still not fixed.

Speaker 8 (01:52:17):
I don't know. I haven't heard anything from it. They
don't call me back or anything.

Speaker 5 (01:52:21):
Here's what I suggest you do, Marvin. Since you already
bought the car and it's too late, and you bought
it as is, they can throw their hands up. But
if I were you, I would take it over to
share it in an auto tech and have them check
it out. I'll bet you there's way more wrong with
that car than that. I'll bet you it's been in
a wreck.

Speaker 13 (01:52:41):
That sounds like it.

Speaker 8 (01:52:42):
They said it hadn't been in any accidents or nothing.

Speaker 5 (01:52:45):
I don't care what they said. Did you get a
car fax on it? At least you said you checked
it out before you bought it.

Speaker 6 (01:52:50):
Did you have a car fax?

Speaker 8 (01:52:52):
They said that they were going to give that to me.
I didn't see that. I didn't see it.

Speaker 6 (01:52:56):
So hold on, let me get this straight.

Speaker 5 (01:52:58):
You didn't do a car fax and you didn't take
it to a mechanic.

Speaker 6 (01:53:02):
But you say you checked it out yourself.

Speaker 8 (01:53:05):
Yeah. They also have a return within seven days.

Speaker 6 (01:53:09):
Oh good? Has it been seven days yet?

Speaker 8 (01:53:12):
Now it has?

Speaker 5 (01:53:15):
Man, Marvin, you've just done everything you could to screw yourself.

Speaker 6 (01:53:20):
I don't know what to do, man, I mean, I think.

Speaker 5 (01:53:23):
You need to get this car into somebody independent to
find out what's wrong with it. If it turns out
it was in a wreck and they didn't tell you
about it, then we'll try to help you get your
money back.

Speaker 6 (01:53:34):
But you got to go get your car. You can't
leave it there, okay, Yeah, because.

Speaker 8 (01:53:38):
Like I said it, and then on top of that,
the oil, you know, the gauge. I checked. When I
just checked the gauges, it is a like thirty percent.
And I said, I thought you guys changed oil. Well,
we did, but we didn't reset it. I said, I
don't believe that. I said, what about the corrosion and
everything underneath the hood? You were supposed to wash that out,
you know, the just the slug.

Speaker 5 (01:53:59):
Kevin, I mean, Marvin, Marvin, you bought yourself a piece
of crap.

Speaker 6 (01:54:03):
What did you pay for it?

Speaker 8 (01:54:06):
Seventeen?

Speaker 5 (01:54:09):
Hey, Kevin, what do you think's wrong with it? It's
got corrosion under the hood. It sounds like a flood
car to me. It's got corrosion under the hood. What
would that come from?

Speaker 8 (01:54:18):
Not that bad.

Speaker 10 (01:54:19):
Let's just close around.

Speaker 8 (01:54:20):
The battery and stuff like that and may just service properly. Yeah,
you know, but that would right far with an alignment.

Speaker 13 (01:54:25):
You know, that'll tell us a lot once we get
it up and measure everything and see why it's out
of work. That's where we start, Marvin.

Speaker 6 (01:54:33):
You know, it could be a major collision. We don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:54:38):
Why don't you go and get a car fax right now, Marvin,
get one, and right now you can go online and.

Speaker 8 (01:54:44):
Buy You can go what I'm working right now.

Speaker 5 (01:54:49):
Okay, I'll tell you what. Hang on, just hang on.
Put him on hold, Kevin. I I think he needs
to do a car fax and get it over to you.
Shared an Auto Tech. The people we would refer him
to go to. He should have done a pre buy inspection.
They do those too. Okay, thank you, Kevin. Three oh three,
four five, five, seventy two forty two is Shared an
Auto Tech. Get your get you get it done beforehand.

(01:55:12):
Let me tell you what we're doing as an experiment.
I gave him a website. I'll just tell you what
it is, Waveeightcapital dot com. I gave him my website
for my financial company and a financial advisement company and said,
I'd like to see what this automated AI agent does
with the website. And he was going to put in

(01:55:34):
my URL and see what it spits out, so it
would be in. It's going to be an interesting experiment.
By the way, Sean Hanks is with us from Simpler
sy M p l e R.

Speaker 6 (01:55:45):
They're combining.

Speaker 5 (01:55:48):
Artificial intelligence with SEO and they're doing it with website
building as well, to build it from the ground up
right the right way. And we've talked about how AI
is changing the entire landscape of the Internet. Right now,
a lot of people are using Ai instead of Google

(01:56:08):
for a search engine, So your business has to be
optimized not just for Google, it has to.

Speaker 6 (01:56:17):
Be optimized for AI.

Speaker 5 (01:56:19):
So AI recognizes it and gives it to people when
they ask about it. We have more coming up on
the Troubleshooter Show. It's an exciting show. One Clear Choice
Garage Doors. They are the people to call for any
garage door problem twenty four to seven. They're honest, efficient
and thorough in what they do. One Clear Choice Doors

(01:56:43):
dot Com. Go with a sure thing Denver's best roofer
Excel Roofing dot com. You don't pay a cent until
your content time for insurance check up free, no obligation.
In comparison, call Compass Insurance paying too much your coverage

(01:57:06):
at dozens of insurance companies find out now three all
three seven seven one help. You'll think you're his only
customer when you choose Frank durand the real estate Man

all three nine two zero sixteen twenty two. Hi Tom
Martino here three O three seven one three talk seven, one, three, eight,

(01:57:29):
two five five.

Speaker 6 (01:57:31):
So would you deal with a store with just AI.

Speaker 5 (01:57:36):
Somebody said they would not because they would they want
someone to talk to. I believe that what you're going
to see in the future, and we're talking is Simpler
symp l e R Simpler dot Com.

Speaker 6 (01:57:52):
Who do a lot in AI.

Speaker 5 (01:57:54):
And search engine optimization. I believe you're going to see
hybrid stores, Sean.

Speaker 6 (01:57:58):
I believe what.

Speaker 5 (01:57:59):
You'll see is maybe one person for the whole store,
whereas you might have to have two or three or others,
and you're going to eliminate a lot of labor. As
far as trying to do it all AI in the
beginning might be a little challenge until it gets more improved.

Speaker 6 (01:58:19):
So are there any hybrid stores now that you know
of that?

Speaker 5 (01:58:23):
Are will yours be the first AI based store that
you know of?

Speaker 6 (01:58:27):
The floor covering store?

Speaker 11 (01:58:28):
Yeah, I haven't found any that have moved to this
model yet, so that's definitely.

Speaker 5 (01:58:33):
Now definitely, But are you trying to do it without
any people whatsoever?

Speaker 2 (01:58:39):
Now?

Speaker 11 (01:58:39):
Those still be people, so it'll be you know, if
someone wants to meet with a rep, that can still
do that. It just allows twenty four to seven access
We've met with a lot of consumers that are like, hey,
it's really nice to go in there and not having
a sales guy follow us around.

Speaker 6 (01:58:53):
You think the hybrid store would be great.

Speaker 5 (01:58:56):
Let's see, you have one person, so if they run
into a snag, they can talk to the person, but
otherwise use AI to answer their questions or to pick products.
And as far as uh, as far as website design,
we're doing this experiment where you have basically.

Speaker 6 (01:59:13):
An AI agent that you can drop a URL into it.
It'll look at the website and suggest improvements. Is that right?

Speaker 12 (01:59:22):
It will just suggest that it'll make them.

Speaker 5 (01:59:25):
It literally will make a site and show it to
you and compare it to the one you have.

Speaker 11 (01:59:31):
Yeah, and we're doing it right now. Yeah, I have,
I have one. Actually I'm gonna kind of I got
to put your love.

Speaker 6 (01:59:37):
It already came through.

Speaker 12 (01:59:39):
Yeah, it took about.

Speaker 6 (01:59:42):
Five minutes. Five minutes. Okay.

Speaker 5 (01:59:45):
Now, if you don't already have a website for it
to look at, it will interview you and ask about
your company and then develop a website based on the interview.

Speaker 11 (01:59:57):
How many of you actually done like that so far?
We have probably close to one hundred. Now that have
been completed.

Speaker 5 (02:00:05):
By AI by AI Are you kidding me? And the
AI wrote the code and everything everything?

Speaker 6 (02:00:13):
What does it write? The code is? We built?

Speaker 11 (02:00:15):
It's all in PHP, so it's uh, you know, it
builds out custom WordPress things. You can do an HTML
site as well, but it uses PHP, my SQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript.

Speaker 5 (02:00:26):
Okay, Well you for those listening that have always wanted
to redo their website or improve their website, do you
have a special we can throw.

Speaker 6 (02:00:37):
Out to them right now?

Speaker 5 (02:00:38):
For any Martino listeners that you would, you would take
their URL and shoot them a proposed improvement.

Speaker 2 (02:00:45):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (02:00:45):
Do you have any specials you can throw out for today?

Speaker 5 (02:00:48):
I'm doing this without any preparation whatsoever.

Speaker 6 (02:00:51):
So if you don't, I understand, Yeah, I mean.

Speaker 11 (02:00:53):
We can do you know, if you reach out to us,
give us, you know, a day or two, but we
could do kind of a free We can run it
through our system and give you like a.

Speaker 6 (02:01:03):
Free free a free pure preview.

Speaker 12 (02:01:07):
You have to buy it. You come on, let's look
at it and people, people.

Speaker 5 (02:01:10):
Wait a minute, are you listening to this? If you call,
let's do it. Well, let's put a limit on it. Okay,
let's put I mean I'm just trying to like ten. Okay,
So for ten people listening that have a website, an
existing website, if you contact Simpler the first ten only

(02:01:31):
you contact Simpler with a URL with your website address,
they will put it into their AI agent and spit
out a proposed improvement free of charge. Now obviously you
can't use it, but it'll spit it out free of charge.
If you want to move forward, that's up to you.

(02:01:52):
But you can get a look at what it can
do without paying anything, and.

Speaker 6 (02:01:56):
Normally you'd have to pay.

Speaker 5 (02:01:58):
You know, if you think about going to a web
designer and say, hey, come up with an improvement, they're
going to charge you for their time. This is going
to be for ten people. I'm going to give out
the number. For ten people, you will get a free
proposed improvement of your website. See, I'm anxious to see
what the hell it's going to do.

Speaker 6 (02:02:19):
Just on its own.

Speaker 5 (02:02:20):
So what they do is they'll take your URL www
dot I Didwaveeightcapital dot com. He put it into his
AI agent, which is going to code an improvement or
a proposed improvement.

Speaker 6 (02:02:35):
If you want this done for the next.

Speaker 5 (02:02:37):
Ten people only, Ill and I think Roberts getting your call,
So Robert, you have to let me know when we
get to the ten limit. I'm going to give you
this number. It's only for the next ten people. Remember
this is a free alternate design free.

Speaker 6 (02:02:55):
All you have to do is give.

Speaker 5 (02:02:56):
Your URL and it'll and you got to be the
owner of the rl okay you got. It's got to
be your website and it will propose an improvement ready
nine eighty six two two nine five thousand.

Speaker 6 (02:03:12):
Nine eighty six two two.

Speaker 5 (02:03:15):
Nine five thousand.

Speaker 6 (02:03:18):
It boggles my mind.

Speaker 5 (02:03:19):
I'm going to give that number out again, the first
ten only, So Robert, you're on text with me, text
me when you get the ten nine eight six two
two nine five thousand. It boggles my mind how you
can throw a URL at it. It'll crawl the website
and suggest improvements. Sean, you gotta dumb this down. But

(02:03:43):
you have to tell me what goes on when it
crawls the website. What is it looking for? Is it
looking for flaws? Is it looking for better design? Is
it comparing you to new websites? What is the AI
agent doing when it crawls my website?

Speaker 11 (02:03:58):
So AI knows a lot about user experience, colors, layout.

Speaker 12 (02:04:05):
Uh, you know what works?

Speaker 11 (02:04:06):
And so what it does is it takes your site,
It looks for errors things like that that the obvious areas,
the obvious ones, but also design flaws and it and
it creates a new layout based on your industry that
it knows what converts the best and functions.

Speaker 6 (02:04:22):
Bo do you find that freaking incredible? My god, wish
I was still in business and now think about it.
So so and you don't have to do anything except
what were you doing?

Speaker 11 (02:04:33):
And I have to set up the server and you know,
get the file system ready and stuff like that.

Speaker 12 (02:04:38):
But once that's seven.

Speaker 5 (02:04:39):
No, no, no, you have to set up a place for
it to reside right right, But you're not designing it.

Speaker 12 (02:04:44):
No no.

Speaker 11 (02:04:44):
So we have you know, our introductory packages is you
know AI designer, and then we have other levels where if.

Speaker 5 (02:04:53):
Someone ws to pay for an introductory website and they
give they do the interview or they do this the
old website, what is that introductory offer?

Speaker 11 (02:05:01):
So a standard ten page site is three ninety nine.

Speaker 6 (02:05:07):
And then what what does it cost to host?

Speaker 11 (02:05:10):
I mean it depends if they host with us, it's
you know, forty nine to ninety nine dollars a month.

Speaker 6 (02:05:14):
But and that cooing about dates and everything fully managed.

Speaker 11 (02:05:17):
Yeah, and then there's you know, obviously other things you
can add to AI agents.

Speaker 5 (02:05:20):
See it used to be when people design websites. I'm
just going to tell it like it is. You'd call
somebody in India, right, I mean most they don't understand
a lot of website developers right now. Deal with Indian
programmers and coders right correct, who are working out of
their home. And what they do is they code the website.

(02:05:42):
And when you call your company here in America and
say I need this or I need that, they call
the person in India to have it done. This is
taking place of that. This is doing everything, all the
coding on its own.

Speaker 11 (02:05:55):
And we have other agencies because this is so cheap,
you know that of course, and resell it as well.

Speaker 5 (02:06:01):
So you have people that design websites that actually use
you and resell.

Speaker 12 (02:06:08):
It, right, yeah, just mark it up and resell it.

Speaker 5 (02:06:11):
Okay, I'm gonna get that number out again. If you
have a website you want to see a proposed improvement
free of charge by AI, it'll be nine eighty six
two two nine five thousand. I like to show some
before and afters maybe later next week or sometime, or

(02:06:31):
when we get some just some screenshots of the front
page of before and after. I would love to do that. So, Robert,
I know you're listening. He's back east right now, I think,
and he's going to tell me when he gets the
first ten.

Speaker 6 (02:06:45):
Does this number ring to him?

Speaker 12 (02:06:47):
The uh, it goes to our main office. But they
know that. Okay, yeah, they got.

Speaker 5 (02:06:52):
Okay, so the main office of Simpler dot com only
we're only taking ten people nine eight six two two nine,
five thousand. We can take a few extra just in
case some of.

Speaker 6 (02:07:03):
Them fall through. So we got more coming up.

Speaker 5 (02:07:06):
This is very fascinating, John, What is your issue with
a roofer?

Speaker 6 (02:07:10):
Welcome John? What's going on?

Speaker 1 (02:07:13):
Oh? I got a I signed a contract to get
a roof done on my house and my when garage?

Speaker 6 (02:07:20):
When did you sign a contract this February?

Speaker 1 (02:07:23):
It started I think February.

Speaker 5 (02:07:26):
For your house and for your house and detached garage.

Speaker 6 (02:07:30):
Correct, two contracts, got it?

Speaker 2 (02:07:33):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (02:07:33):
So you did it in two contracts.

Speaker 1 (02:07:36):
Yes, it's a separate The insurance company didn't have anything
to do with this, the garage.

Speaker 5 (02:07:41):
Contract, okay, okay, So insurance was just for the house.

Speaker 1 (02:07:47):
Correct.

Speaker 5 (02:07:50):
Okay, so you were paying for the garage on your
own correct?

Speaker 1 (02:07:57):
Okay, maybe three thousand for the roofing material. It's fourteen
hundred for the sheathing. Total of forty four hundred. Okay,
he did not shave it.

Speaker 5 (02:08:09):
Wait, wait a minute, how do you put a roof
on without sheathing it?

Speaker 1 (02:08:13):
Well as I am in Denver, So Denver's a little different.
I guess you have you tear out the roof. If
it's doubtful, then you get a sheeting. The rufer can
get a sheathing inspection that will tell him it that
needs to be sheathed or not. If he doesn't need
to be sheethed, or the roofer doesn't want to get

(02:08:33):
a sheathing inspection, he doesn't have to.

Speaker 5 (02:08:37):
Okay, but they're still putting it over the old sheathing,
is what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (02:08:42):
Yeah, they're going to add new sheathing on top of
the original death.

Speaker 5 (02:08:46):
All right, hold on, let me let me take this
break hold on, I'll come right back to you, John.
I want to fully understand this and get so much
to work on it for you. Hang on, go with
a sure thing Denver's Best roofer Excel roofing dot com.
You don't pay a cent until you're content. Time for

Speaker 6 (02:09:32):
Now you're the best part of our commercials. Whenever you want, no,
whenever you want. Hello, Tom Martino here.

Speaker 5 (02:09:38):
So I watched this thing and it's incredible and I'll
be showing it in a few days. And the reason
I say a few days is because I'm going to
be advertising for them anyway. They're they're they're a sponsor.
And this site was spit out after he set it
up on the server and then put in my URL.

Speaker 6 (02:09:58):
Was spit out in like five minu and it's the.

Speaker 5 (02:10:01):
Structure, and then you upload whatever images you want or
you ask them for help with your images, and you
get up to ten pages. But it's an incredible design,
and oddly enough now it is different than my original
design a lot, but it followed the basic structure, and
I had gotten my structure from other financial companies, so

(02:10:25):
you could see where it did some thinking on changing
some components but keeping others similar. Anyway, John has a problem.
Let's go back to John by the way for simpler
If you're interested in getting into this experiment, we may
already have the ten, but it's nine eighty six two
two nine five thousand. The first ten get a free
upgraded look at their website free, no obligation whatsoever. Nine

(02:10:49):
eighty six two two nine five thousand. Then if you
like what you see, you can go beyond that. But
this is just a free rewrite of your website to
see what it looks like with AI designing it. So, John,
you had the basically your roofing done on your garage,

(02:11:11):
and you said you were going to pay for new
sheathing and roof for forty four hundred bucks, but they
ended up not replacing the sheathing, right correct?

Speaker 6 (02:11:23):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:11:24):
Now, and I've asked her a copy of the contract.
He has not given it to me.

Speaker 5 (02:11:28):
Do you realize we've had a similar one. We had
a similar one just earlier in the show. What do
you mean you didn't have a copy of the contract.
What's why can't he just deny? He could say to you,
by the way, we never agreed to do sheathing. How
would you prove it?

Speaker 1 (02:11:48):
Well? I showed him another bit I got for to
do the roof was the garage roof was three twenty
five dollars, which was close to his number. Without I
went back to that contractor and got some separate asked
him how much more for deckying and they saved me
about fourteen hundred and seventy one dollars.

Speaker 5 (02:12:10):
For dec John, The numbers make sense. But here's what
I'm asking you. If we call up this Rufer and
we say, hey, mister Rufer, John is upset that you
did his garage roof for forty four hundred dollars and
you did not put on new sheathing. And he says,
we never agreed to put on new sheathing. What's to

(02:12:33):
prevent him from saying that.

Speaker 1 (02:12:36):
Well, I'm trying to get the copy of the contract.

Speaker 5 (02:12:38):
He want to say, yeah, but but that's ridiculous. Why
wouldn't you have a copy of a contract you signed?
What would make Okay, I'm gonna ask you yet another question,
and I'm not trying to give you a hard time, John,
I promise, Well, okay, what what if he shows you
a copy of the contract that says ten four hundred dollars?
How would you prove that wasn't the original contract? I mean, John,

(02:13:02):
you have nothing at all to support your claim. You're saying,
I'm trying to get a copy of the contract. Well
what if he says, we never had a contract, it.

Speaker 6 (02:13:12):
Was all verbal.

Speaker 1 (02:13:14):
I have something here in writing that shows his arm
shows that listed its forty four hundred dollars.

Speaker 5 (02:13:20):
Does it say you get new Okay, what do you
have in writing?

Speaker 6 (02:13:23):
Tell me that? Let's start there. What do you actually
have in writing?

Speaker 2 (02:13:28):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:13:28):
Well, instead of providing me the original bill, he even
recreated it. Have you ever heard of anybody recreating a bill?

Speaker 5 (02:13:37):
Well, John, what if he says, no, I never recreated it.
That is the original. See, John, I never heard of
anyone doing what you're doing. I've never heard of anyone
thinking of a contract and saying I don't have it.
I mean, I need something to go on. I need
something to go on. What do you have to prove

(02:13:57):
that you were going to get new sheathing on your
roof for forty four hundred?

Speaker 1 (02:14:03):
Right? Now? Nothing?

Speaker 6 (02:14:06):
What do you have in writing that he recreated? What
is it?

Speaker 5 (02:14:12):
You got to move the mic up to your mouth.
You got to move the mic. Yeah, thank you there there.
Now I can hear you going on.

Speaker 12 (02:14:18):
What's the name of the roofing company?

Speaker 1 (02:14:20):
I don't do I have to state that now.

Speaker 6 (02:14:23):
No, you don't. You actually don't have.

Speaker 8 (02:14:26):
To pay for it without signing a contract.

Speaker 12 (02:14:28):
Did you just tender over a check?

Speaker 1 (02:14:32):
I paid fifty down?

Speaker 6 (02:14:34):
Okay, have you paid the other fifty?

Speaker 1 (02:14:38):
No? I haven't. He's throting clean on my property.

Speaker 5 (02:14:42):
Okay, listen, man, I want to help you. What do
you have? You said you had something in writing to
indicate you were going to get sheathing.

Speaker 6 (02:14:52):
What do you have?

Speaker 1 (02:14:54):
I have nothing in writing to the indicate I was
going to get cheating on the garage.

Speaker 5 (02:14:59):
Well he didn't or will he say, yeah, he didn't
need it?

Speaker 6 (02:15:03):
What will he say?

Speaker 1 (02:15:06):
He's denied it so far we created a bill and
the new bill is now thirty nine hundred and eighty
eight dollars or something instead of the forty four hundred.

Speaker 5 (02:15:16):
And the thirty nine okay, so in other words, thirty
nine hundred bucks. So he he did, he did kind
of credit you some money.

Speaker 6 (02:15:25):
He credited you five hundred dollars right.

Speaker 1 (02:15:28):
Now, man, four hundred? About four hundred?

Speaker 5 (02:15:33):
All right, listen, John, I want to help you. But
if we call him and accuse him of not fulfilling
the contract, he's gonna say, yes I did.

Speaker 1 (02:15:44):
All right. Do you want to talk about the house roup?

Speaker 6 (02:15:48):
Okay? What happened with that? Oh?

Speaker 1 (02:15:52):
He since his original bid never included cheating on my house, okay,
incited to sheet the garage. I took him up into
my attic and go, does my house needs sheating and
it has one x six decking in my attic? He says, yes,
it does. I will get State farmed to pay for it,
or I'll pay for it myself.

Speaker 5 (02:16:14):
Normally, if it needs sheathing, the insurance company will pay
for it.

Speaker 1 (02:16:20):
Correct. Now, he's the first day I said I have
the roof installed. I called him. It was raining that
morning and I said it's still raining at my house.
His response was, well, we can't do the decking in
the rain. We'll have to reschedule. I assume that meant
the decking was approved where it's all set to go.
The next time they came over to the day they

(02:16:42):
came over to install the house, the roof. They showed
up with no sheeting. He told me that State Farm
had denied the claim on the sheathing. Okay, I said, well,
what about the sheathing for the garage? They said, oh,
when they took the sheeting off for the house, they.

Speaker 5 (02:16:59):
Took Is any of this in writing? By the way,
did he complete your house?

Speaker 1 (02:17:06):
Well? Yeah, it passed a roof inspection.

Speaker 6 (02:17:09):
Okay, that's all it counts.

Speaker 1 (02:17:13):
Well, no, do you know what a sheathing inspection is?

Speaker 6 (02:17:16):
Yes? But did he have a sheathing inspection?

Speaker 1 (02:17:20):
I call the city planning department at Denver.

Speaker 6 (02:17:28):
Hey, John, John, I know where you're going with this.

Speaker 5 (02:17:31):
You're saying he never had the sheathing inspected, therefore he
owes you new sheathing.

Speaker 6 (02:17:35):
That's not necessarily true.

Speaker 5 (02:17:37):
If it turns out you need new sheathing, you have
to pay for it unless you have that statement in
writing that he made that if they won't pay for it,
I'll pay for it. Again, John, you've done everything wrong.
You want him to pay for sheathing?

Speaker 2 (02:17:52):
Right?

Speaker 6 (02:17:52):
What if he says no, I never agreed to it.

Speaker 1 (02:17:55):
What happens, Well, what I had to do is I
had to get a sheathing inspection din the city or
not do a sheeting inspection for the homeowner. So I
had to hire another roofing company to Okay, my insurancagion
said to do this, hire enough a roofing company, get

(02:18:17):
it perpose. Okay, they came over to my house. They stripped.
The contract was to strip off two hundred square feet
of my new roof. Yeah, they called and got a
sheathing inspection. Din it failed the sheathing inspection.

Speaker 5 (02:18:31):
So it turns out. It turns out you need new
sheathing correct before. Okay, here's what I'm going to tell you.
You should not have to pay for that roof. If
the guy skipped the inspection, you should not have to
pay for it. But that doesn't But listen carefully, John,

(02:18:54):
because I don't think we're on the same page. You
need a new sheet, you need new sheathing. It failed.
You can't get it now because he did the roof.
He did the roof, and it's useless to you. So
you should not have to pay for that roof. However,
what you don't want to hear is he doesn't owe
you anything at all. He just has to. You should

(02:19:18):
not have to pay for it, though, and we can
fight for that. We got more coming up.
