Speaker 1 (00:00):
At about nine minutes after eight o'clock, let's jump over
to the Legacy Retirement Group dot com phone line and
check in with one of our favorite voices.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's Foxnews contributor Lizpeak.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Her latest story at foxnews dot com, and this is
a good one. If you have a moment today, check
it out under the opinions tab at foxnews dot com.
Democrats have a Joe Biden problem, Liz, and there's no
way to fix it.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Well, they really want Joe Biden to go away, and
who can blame them? Every time Joe Biden appears in
public and has been rare, thankfully, but he has made
a couple of appearances lately. Won a big speech about
Social Security in which he kind of fumbles and mumbles.
But actually the worst part of that speech was that

(00:43):
he reverted to campaign rhetoric about how the Trump administration
was trying to slash Social Security, and he used all
kinds of really kind of.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
Harsh language, all of which is just not true.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
And I think any fair minded person looking what the
true administration is trying to do about Social Security and
Medicare right now will realize that they're trying to save
social Security, not end it. But Biden can't get away
from the narrative, you know, the narrative about how terrible
Trump is, how he's going to wreck everything, et cetera.

(01:19):
And you know, I get it people on the left
really want to hear that. But I don't think that
makes Joe Biden a particularly good spokesman for the Democratic
Party right now, which by the way, is in total disarray.
And their real problem is people look at Joe Biden
and they say, and they remember the big lie. They

(01:39):
remember that for four years, Democrats, the legacy media, people
in the White House pretended that Joe Biden was okay.
And you and I and your listeners know and knew
he wasn't okay. And so when it was finally revealed
after that fortuitous debate where you know, he kind of

(02:00):
showed his cards and showed that he was really not
competent to be president, all the Democrats kind of acted like.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
Wow, what a surprise. It wasn't surprised.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
We've been watching those clips, frankly on Fox News for
years about him wandering off during meetings and not knowing
where to be and getting lost on the grounds of
the White House.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
That was not a joke that was a serious sign
that we had an impaired.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
President, and the fact that the Democrats went along with
that covered it up. Just to control power, maintain power
in our country. I think everybody finds that pretty darn defensive.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
I know I do so.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Anyhow, I think, yeah, it's not just Joe Biden though.
They really need to somehow disarm the left wing of
their party, and so far they really haven't managed to
find a way to do that.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Well with this Biden speech in Chicago, when you mentioned
the Social Security and he claimed that Trump wants to
wreck the program so they can steal the money and
give it to billionaires with other tax cuts, where is
the mainstream media on that statement, Because if that was
Trump that made a statement like that, you know they
would the reporting would say something like, you know, Donald

(03:12):
Trump said without evidence, love love, love, the two words
two words without evidence. So where is the story on
Biden that says Biden said without evidence that Trump wants
to wreck Social Security?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
You don't see that kind of reporting.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Well, you won't because they would just assume the American
people think that is the case.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
Right, It's exactly big.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
So we've had more than one but recently, there was
a very big study, for example, on the twenty seventeen
tax cuts, showing that everybody got a tax cut.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
First of all, which we all know is true. When
you double the standard deduction.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
And you double the child tax credit, you're really helping
tens of millions of people across the country. But it
really showed this. It showed that the twenty seventeen tax
cuts actually made our tax system more progressive. That is
some and what that means is people on the highest end,
the highest earners in America, saw a bigger share of

(04:09):
their income go to they I'm sorry, they contributed a
bigger share to the total income tax receipts than lower
income Americans. In other words, what you want in a
fair country is that low paid people pay less of
their income in taxes, right, and high pay more. Well,
that has always been the case in our country. But

(04:31):
Trump's tax cut, something you'll never hear from Elizabeth Warren,
made it even so. And I really do recommend if
anybody is interested in this topic, because it's one that
again Elizabeth Warren Bernie Sanders lie about this every time they.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Are on the stump. This is what happened.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
It benefited low income Americans more than high income americans.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
So you know, as we get into as we will over.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
The next several months wrangling about tax policy, people should
remember that actually the last time it helped the entire country.
But it also it was more than fair to low
income Americans. But you know, to your point, the left
wing media doesn't really care about the facts. They have
again a story to tell. The story is everything Donald

(05:19):
Trump does is bad. Everything Joe Biden did was good.
And you know they're going to ride with that pretty
much forever.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
If you want to get a start on this, you
can check it out at foxnews dot com under the
Opinions tables, Peak our Guest.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
And you know.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
There's the tax stuff, the Social Security stuff, and then
there's the embarrassing things that Biden does. Again in his
Chicago speech, he was talking about he was telling a
story about segregation, and he used the term quote colored kids.
And I'm uncomfortable just saying it as a quote. You know,

(05:54):
it's not nineteen fifty five anymore, mister president. I mean,
that's just he doesn't have a filter anymore. He's so
far gone. He's using terms that are way outdated.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Well, that's exactly right. Look, he is an embarrassment to
the party on so many different fronts.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
And look, you've had.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Senior Democrats come up and just say, please go away,
we just really don't want to hear from you. He
keeps volunteering to help with campaigns and so forth. Can
you imagine if you're a Democrat getting Joe on the
campaign trail? No, And by the way, he's charging three
hundred thousand bucks for a speech.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
I don't know about you.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
Who's going to pay that kind of money for Joe Biden?
I don't know, except you could end up with something
sort of hilarious and making the wrong kind of headlines.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
Look, I think.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
This is a problem for the Democrats. He's not going
to go anywhere. By the way, I think Kamala Harris
is a problem for Democrats too. She actually wants to
run again, and she too kind of torpedoes the party
spending wasting and you could say, over a billion dollars
in the campaign and frankly not doing very well. So
you know, again, the real issue for Democrats right now

(07:05):
is that they've got all the energy with the Bernie Sanders,
the AOC crowd.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
They're getting lots.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Of people to come out to hear them speak, et cetera,
raising lots of money. You have a young Democrat trying
to come up with progressive candidates in states, in districts
where you have a long term incumbent, which is if
you remember what AOC did to win her seat, you
know this.

Speaker 4 (07:29):
I don't think the public is going to be on
board with this. I say go for it. Let's have
more progressive saying stupid things.

Speaker 3 (07:36):
Demo make the Republicans look pretty good.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
Yeah, I hope Bernie and AOC run. That would be
a gift. That would be a gift from heavy. We
didn't even talk about the photoshop situation with Biden's Easter message.

Speaker 4 (07:47):
Wasn't that weird?

Speaker 1 (07:48):
He posted a picture of his Yeah, he posted a
picture of his family, and then he's awkwardly like jammed
in the back.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
He's not wearing like a similar outfit.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
He's in a full like coat and tie, and his
family was kind of, you know, dressed a little more casually.
And people were going crazy on social media saying that
he was photoshopped, which actually, and you point out in
your piece that it begs the question if he's not
with his family on Easter.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Where was he?

Speaker 3 (08:12):
Yeah, and where was Hunter? He was also conspicuously absent
from that family photo. That was the strangest thing. And
you know, I almost anytime someone does a photoshop, they
get called out on it, right because someone notices that
this hand is bigger than that hand, or you know whatever.

Speaker 4 (08:28):
But this was so egregious.

Speaker 3 (08:30):
It was so blatantly not a correct photo. I don't
know what they were trying to approve, but it does
sort of raise some pretty serious questions about where is
Joe Biden.
