Speaker 1 (00:00):
I do want to spend a couple of time minutes
with doctor Fabmancini on the Legacy Retirement Group dot com
phone line.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Doctor Mancini healthy living expert.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
You've seen him everywhere on Fox, on CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC.
He's an international best selling author and just released a
brand new book called Self Health. I want to talk
about microplastics or thalates, Doctor Mancini, Good morning.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
What are thalates?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Well, good morning and sale. It's for people that have meant,
perhaps never heard the words. There's synthetic chemicals that are
made to make plastics of flexible and long lasting. So
they're really not the plastics. There's the things that go
on top of it. Uh. And those chemicals are the
(00:48):
ones that are now being linked to many of the
challenges that we have in our health today.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
It seems like they're everywhere. They're in you know, plastic
water bottles, in toys, they're in shampoo, make up, other cosmetics.
They're in PVC plumbing pipes, vinyl flooring.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
We can't escape these, can we No.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
And the thing that is very important to understand is
that you know, especially let's say that you have a
makeup back that may look harmless. But for some of
those products, you could be massing your hormones and you're
trying to look pretty and everything. But they're really in
a lot of the perfumes and colonnes, and it's important
(01:31):
for us to at least become aware that they are present,
because more and more studies, I mean the CDC stele
Of report a couple of years ago that this is
one of the biggest disruptors, not only in decreased the stosterone,
sperm count, increase asthma, orbesity, cancer. I mean, these are
some real serious problems.
Speaker 4 (01:52):
And recently there was a study that was just released
that they said that salids were directly responsible for ten
percent of all the cardiovascular.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
Deaths in the ages of fifty five to sixty four.
So this is a serious problem we just need to
become aware of.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah, it's those numbers are sobering.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Speaking with doctor fab Mancini on common household plastics called palates,
we've heard the term microplastics, and you know, they call
them everywhere chemicals because they are so common and we
we don't know how much of these the human body
can actually take. I mean, is the our limit on
(02:35):
the amount of falates that become toxic to the body.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
No, and that's the problem is that we're seeing more
and more. I mean there was in twenty eighteen and
then that's going back twenty eighteen, ninety percent of the
bottle water brands at microplastic particles. So we know that
it's not just on the actual things that we just mentioned,
but this for everywhere chemicals. They're in our air, they're
(03:03):
in our food, they're in our drinks. They become contact
and the important thing is that there are things that
we can do, like, for instance, if you're used to
using classic bottles for drinking water or other things, just
switch it to glass or stanely steel. That's what I
do at home. I just you know, have a water filter,
(03:23):
put them in glass bottles, and I use glass. If
you're choosing frigates products, fragance is one of those words
that salids hide on there. So just use and read
the labels. There's a lot of new products out there
that are tail it free, and make sure that you
have filtering water that can remove some of these microplastics
(03:44):
from the water that you're drinking. And also when you
have kids, make sure that you're using tail it free
toys there. I mean right now, you're going to see
that more and more. The manufacturers are going to be
coming up with these options because of the association with
tail and many of the chronic diseases that we're experiencing today.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
So if you are looking for products, you can actually
a lot of them will have that on the label.
Doctor Mancini, it'll say filate free. Is there another like
buzzword we should look for when you're looking at the
label of an agree for like an ingredient that maybe
would be disguised as a different word that's actually a flatee.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well, the reality is that it's really hidden in a
lot of things. So you're going to see also microprasitive free.
For instance, if you are looking for household products, try vinegar, baking, soda.
You know, those are things that we have used for
a long time, but a lot of times they're not
as convenient for people so they don't even think about it.
(04:47):
So make sure that if you're looking for vinyl products
like shower curtains and all that, look for cotton or
you know, things that are a little bit safer for
the body, including our clothes.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
I I just had this vision of you know, putting
a tupperware dish full of some leftover food in the
microwave and warming it up a little bit. I mean
that just seems like something that seems so innocent before
now seems incredibly toxic with the plastic and the food
storage container and then heating it up in a microwave
(05:22):
seems seems like a terrible idea.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
After hearing you.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Talk about this, well, that's one of the things that
we've been scaring for years. It's become more of an
awareness today because there seems.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
To be more of a dialogue of what if the
root causes of a lot of the health problems that
we're having, And we'll find it that microplastics is one
of those Whenever you microwave a plastic, you actually that
heat is bringing all of.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
Those microplastics into the food. So that's the reason that
we for years have said for people, you know, instead
of just a microwave, find other ways to heat up
your food, because it's not the healthiest. I no, it's
the mostractical, but it's not the healthiest.
Speaker 4 (06:02):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
And as long as we become aware and we know
that there's options, the main thing is to start trying
some new things every day, you know, choosing some talent
three product options, making small changes in the way we
heat our our foods, looking at the labels and reading
the labels and trying to find those products that we love.
But look for talent free microplastic three labels because you're
(06:26):
going to be better often. Not only that are health
is our most important act, so we got to take
care of it.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Documentini, are there symptoms for people who may be experiencing
some sort of toxicity or some other you know issues
due to you know, filate.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Poisoning for lack of a better term.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Is there something people should look for or is this
something that just kind of happens silently.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
No, you know, it's happening silently. But the main things
that we have noticed is of course inflammation. We notice
a lot of the studies have put a lot of
relationship between hormones for men and women. So whenever you
feel your hormones out of norm, maybe that could be
one of the things. Restfra term problems like asthma and
(07:15):
even obesity. You know, a lot of people are really
concerned right now that no matter what they do, they
just can't seem to lose that extra weight. Well, maybe
there is a component that many of the products that
you usually have talent on it. So let's just look
into that and try to reduce some of them and
see if that will make a difference. But also check
with your healthcare provider, especially a functional doctor out there
(07:39):
and a provider that can have knowledge about this and
can guide you a little bit better as to what
are the choices that you have access to. And you
can also start doing some more functional testing, whether it's
your blood or even saliva testing that can maybe pick
up some of these classic and let you know that
(08:00):
maybe contributing to your symptoms when it comes to your health.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Doctor fat Man Seni on microplastics and the danger therein
talk about your new book Real Quick called Self Health,
what's that about?
Speaker 3 (08:13):
Well, I wanted to create a movement that you know,
there's a lot of people interested in the self help.
I wanted self health to be a priority, especially in
reversing chronic disease. And the whole message of the book
is that the intentional choices that we make every day
when it comes to our health is either driving us
towards chronic disease or driving us away from it. So
(08:33):
just make sure you make good choices, and in the book,
I give everybody the latest science of what's helping people
be healthy today naturally.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
Very good, doctor fat Man SEENI, I appreciate your time,
my friend. That's great information.
