Speaker 1 (00:00):
Let's pivot over to the Legacy Retirement Group dot com
phone line. Welcome in our friend from Fox News, Fox Business,
Liz Peak. Everything you see you can see at lizpeak
dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Liz good morning, How are you.

Speaker 3 (00:13):
Good morning. I'm terrific glad to join you.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Thank you for the time this morning.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
I want to talk about Elon Musk and his third
political party in just a minute. But what's going on
with these uh, these ICE agents being ambushed? I saw
the story. It's on your website, lizpeak dot com. They're
they're now ambushing UH in Texas to get these ICE
agents to come in based on a nine to one
one call and then they attack them.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Yeah, I mean this is pretty horrifying, right, People are
kind of uh. I mean even politicians have called for
attacks on ICE agents forgetting maybe that these are law
enforcement agents. These are people who are protecting us, who
are helping us uh and whose jobs mainly are to
get child trafficker, sex traffics, fentinyl dealers, and other really

(01:03):
bad guys out of our country. By the way, polling
shows almost everybody is in favor of that. So what
you have is a totally ginned up fake news story
about how these people are deporting you know, worthwhile citizens
who are non citizens who have been here for decades,
you know, moms and pops and children. I mean, all

(01:25):
this sob story, it isn't true. I mean, yesterday, or
the day before, ICE agents went into a park in
Los Angeles and the mayor came out and said, oh,
they got to get out of here. What were they doing.
They were trying to get gangs off these public playgrounds
and so forth, where they were terrorizing local residents. I mean,

(01:47):
how stupid can you be to not want to encourage that.
I you know, it's just a tragic thing that's happened.
And all the rage, the ongoing rage of the left
for being lost an election is now being channeled into
ICE combating ICE and these poor guys. I mean, you know,

(02:07):
they're doing their job and everybody should be supporting them
because they are supporting our legal system. But instead you
had these lunatics now lying and wait for them. Imagine
if you work there. I mean, it's hard to comprehend
how horrifying that would be.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
It's evil.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
We saw this, We saw this in the situation a
couple of weeks ago in Idaho, with the guy lighting
the fire and drawing in some first responders in this
ambush situation, and now they're doing it with immigration law enforcement.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
It is. It is pure evil. Liz Peak.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
You can see everything she does at lizpeak dot com.
All right, so let's talk about Elon Musk is having
a little bit of a melt.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
I don't know if he really wants.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
To start a third political party or he's just mad
at the president.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
I honestly think he's as mad and I think he's hurt.
That sounds sort of stupid. These are grown up people,
but you know, guess what your feelings get hurt when
you spent hundreds of millions of dollars to elect somebody
spent an enormous time of your own time and effort
in trying to create this doge apparatus and get waste

(03:13):
and fraud out of the federal government, for which he
got completely tarred and feathered by the left. His business
came under attack, he came under attack, you know, to
have then the Republicans and the President turn around and
take out of the or eliminate in the reconciliation, built
the subsidies for your cars for evs, take away the

(03:38):
tax credits. I think he was really shocked that he
got nothing to show for all his contributions and actually
got his knuckles wrapped and his business wrapped by the
president and by this bill. So I think Trump honestly
was a little cavalier about this. I'm not saying he
shouldn't have done it, but he should probably have spent

(03:59):
more time. I'm excuse me mollifying Musk's anger over it,
because guess what, it must can be a pretty dangerous
adversary in the sense that he does have pretty much
unlimited money to throw into races. But I don't think
it really makes sense what he's doing. So let's say

(04:20):
he turns over a couple of Senate seats and he's
influencing a bunch of congressional seats. What do those candidates
look like? Who is he really going to be putting
in charge people who vote with Democrats. Democrats hate Elon Musk.
And even if he does this, they're not going to
turn around and all of a sudden be his biggest supporter,
because don't forget, he encouraged the end of censorship on Twitter.

(04:44):
I mean, that's his original sin. They're not going to
forget that. They don't like free speech, they want censorship.
So the whole thing's kind of a major mess. But
the biggest mess is that Tesla traded down seven percent.
It was up a little bit yesterday. But shareholders of
Tesla want Elon Musk to get out of politics and
get back into running his car company, and I think

(05:06):
that's what he needs to do.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
I'm not I don't hate the idea of a third
party in this country, but I want it for the
right reasons. I want the right and this seems like
he's doing maybe the right thing for the wrong reasons.
Is it's a reactionary response to something he didn't like,
as you point out, and third parties in this country
have not fared well. It's hard to start a third party.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Well, it's almost impossible. I mean, Mike Bloomberg investigated that.
Mike has a tremendous amount of He's got billions and
billions of dollars as well, and even with that kind
of financial potential behind him, he did a lot of surveys,
a lot of studies, came to the conclusion it just
wasn't going to work. What does work is you can
get a following and Musk has a big following. He

(05:52):
could get a lot of people maybe energized to come
out and vote against somebody. But again, to what end,
what is it? To your point, I don't. I think
this is a little bit like the spoiled brilliant child
not getting his way and throwing a temper tantrum. It
is not a well thought out And think about who

(06:12):
he's got on, is you know, got interested Anthony Scaramucci,
I mean, good grief, someone that I'm not keen on
at all, Mark Cuban, I mean all these very self
promotional people who, yeah, are gonna kind of like you know,
bugs around a lamp. They're gonna circle around elon muff
hoping for a little bit of daylight and starlight. But

(06:36):
it's all it's just as I say, it's kind of
a mess, and I hope he just walks away from it.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Liz Peak you can see her stories at lizpeak dot com.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
One of the stories you have up here is talking
about our pal Zoron Mom Donnie, the self described socialist
who's the Democrat nominee for New York City mayor. He's
starting to develop a long list of things that aren't
too flattering as far as his past and some of
the Do you think he'll win?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Do you think he'll be the mayor of New York City?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Well, just about everyone in New York except his immediate family,
hopes he doesn't. And I'm kidding, of course, he does
have a following young white, liberal, ignorant people are turning
out for him. But I think you're going to see
a tremendous effort on the part of the black community,
the Jewish community to get people out to vote. You know,

(07:25):
the tragic thing in New York is our turnout is
often around fifteen, sixteen, seventeen percent, and those people that's
how we elected Bill Deblasio to our huge discredit. I'm
hoping that, you know, you get a forty to fifty
percent turnout. I hope Andrew Cuomo gets out of the race,
as so many people have called for him to do,

(07:46):
and we re elect Eric Adams. All these I mean, really,
what a trio running for mayor of the world's greatest city.
It's horrifying. But of the lot, Eric Adams is probably
the best bats and I'm hoping to feel clears and
we do reelect him, but it's not at all clertain.
I mean you could you know? Weird things happen in

(08:08):
New York City politics, that's for sure.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
Yeah, no doubt. Well, thanks for being on top of
it for us. Your voice is very much appreciated here.
We love talking to you every Wednesday morning, Liz Peak.
You can see her at lizpeak dot com. Have a
great rest of your day, Liz.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
