Speaker 1 (00:00):
Forty seven in the morning. Let's go over to the
Legacy Retirement Group dot com phone line and say hello
and welcome back. After a couple of days off. Rory O'Neil,
NBC News Radio, Rory Thanksgiving and the Black Friday sales
numbers are breaking records, seeing shopper spent what eleven point
eight billion dollars nine percent more than last year, and
now here we are on Cyber Monday, and there's a

(00:22):
lot of deals today as well.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Yeah, in fact, we're expected to spend more today than
we did on Black Friday, and Adobe analytics as we
spent more on Black Friday buying less stuff. So perhaps
we're buying things that are more expensive, or perhaps it's
because prices are higher than they have been. So it's
it's such to break down in particular. But yeah, a

(00:45):
lot of focuses on today Cyber Monday deals. Remember today,
Cyber Monday started because we would all use the office
internet because it was the good internet, because back home
we only had dial up, right, so we would use
the bosses Internet back in the day. And then this
has just grown into this monstrosity of a shopping event.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Yeah, it's interesting, as you mentioned, less things were purchased,
but spent more money. So either their higher ticket items
or they're costing a little more either way. See it's
not you know, this quote unquote soft economy not bothering people.
They're willing to part with some cash to get some stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Well, no, and we see that. Look I'm down here
in Orlando and the lines for theme parks were just
crazy this week. Evian you link. You know, everyone talks
about this bad economy. It's two hundred bucks a day
to get into Universal or Disney. I don't know. Somebody's
got the money this bed and I don't know, or
they're all going into debt to do it. But yeah,
we are still seeing that strong demand out there. The

(01:43):
items are particular for electronics. It's phones iPhone seventeen, Google
Pixel ten, Samsung Galaxy AS twenty five. But those Aura
rings are coming up as something that more people want
to get to monitor their health. The Boo Boo dolls
are top toys, along with leg those Mister Beasts, Lab toys,
and Fisherprice Little People, which I think I had when

(02:04):
I was a baby.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
