Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ohio State Spring game in the books.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
One hundred and thirty eight days, campy until Ohio State
plays Texas.
Speaker 1 (00:05):
Unbelievable. One hundred and thirty eight days.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
And when you look at the schedule and you take
Texas off, okay, that starts the season August thirtieth.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
That's going to be a game.
Speaker 3 (00:15):
M hm.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
And you take Texas off, you take Michigan that's on
the road at the team up north. Yeah, November twenty ninth.
Do any of these games scare you? Just I know
you don't have it in front of you, but bring
the non conference ones, give me no like?
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (00:30):
So the first after Texas, Yeah, the first real test
I say test loosely on the road at Washington September
twenty seventh.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
I wouldn't say it scares me. It'll I think there
depends on how they are from last year.
Speaker 1 (00:45):
They were just okay last year.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
So it's on the road. You know that that could
be could be a night game. Not sure Texas should
be a night game. So I don't get to make
that decision.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
But then you you're on the road.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
They got three out of four on the road between
September twenty seventh and October eighteenth on the road at Wisconsin.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
It's you know, it's Luke Fickle in that group, and
he's doing well with recruiting, so it's always that's Camp
Rental is a tough place to play. So I'll put
that on the scale about five from a.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
Fear factor of fire factory.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Yeah. How about hosting Penn State November first? I put
that at about an eight fear factor eight. Oh yeah,
they got everybody back.
Speaker 1 (01:22):
They are fully load, they are fully loaded.
Speaker 4 (01:24):
They are doing exactly what you did last year.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
You got to like that it's here though. That certainly
that does help helps. Yep.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Then you host UCLA Rutgers, and then you go up
to ann Arbor A on November twenty ninth. So the
season is really book ended with Penn State right in
the middle, as.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
It always is.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
I mean, if you think about it, Ohio State had
always done that. They've had a big game somewhere, you know,
two three games in this time.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
It's right off the bat.
Speaker 4 (01:48):
Then you have the Penn State, Wisconsin's going to be
a tough one, and then the team up north and
it's at ann Arbor So, I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
You know, we'll talk more spring game and Buckeye stuff
with Steve Hellwagan twenty four to seven sports here in
abouttes and it's official.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
He's landed in Washington, DC. Yes, he is there.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
He is with the team going to the White House
YEP to meet President Trump today. So we'll talk to
Steve here in a half an hour and see what
that experience is shaped up to be like. Now, then
over to the Legacy Retirement Group dot com phone line.
You can hear him on the Mark Blazer Show this afternoon.
You can hear him hosting the Power Hour at six o'clock.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
It is Chuck Douglas, my favorite West Sider. Chuck. How
are you, sir man?
Speaker 3 (02:24):
I'm still sitting in line waiting to get into Coachella.
I understand I already missed the Bernie Sanders concert that's
above me.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
I thought you'd be live tracking the first Blue Origin
all female flight into space with Katie Perry this morning.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Uh, you know, I missed that one, but I hope
I'll catch the reruns. She always says reruns.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
Hey, you're down some lbs.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Man. You have joined the Awaken one to eighty team
here at six to ten WTVN. I've lost thirty Blazer
lost in that ballpark. How you're in a couple of
weeks in this you're still actively losing weight?
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Where are you now?
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Yeah? Well, I do my week three check in later
on this afternoon before I go on the air. But
after the first two weeks, it was like fourteen point
two pounds and a way size.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
So it's so good.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
I'm feeling good.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Good for you.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
It's yeah, Like, I know, it sounds cliche and it
sounds like a commercial.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
It really. I mean, I guess it is because we've
been compensated for this. But it works. I mean the
program works, plain and simple.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Yeah, I would not you know. I stood balue skeptically
for a while, and I said, Okay, let's see what
it does. Let's see what it does. Okay, you guys
lost your weight, so I will try this. And if
it was garbage, I would tell you it was garbage.
And I am it's not. I had some forty two
genes that actually my mother in lawson over that her
husband bought and did not like, and I said, I
(03:51):
can't wear those things. And I had the audacity. After
the first week, I said, let me try these on.
I'll be dog gone. I couldn't believe it. I fastened
these forty two jeens, and at this point we're actually
getting to wear I'm tightening the belt to hold up
the forty two jeans.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
So I know I like some of my old pants.
I need a new belt because my belt can't get
tight enough. I went down from a thirty eight to
a thirty three. Thirty four way at thirty four is
a little big on me. At this point, I know
people are going, oh, you're real rough. You went from
a thirty eight to a thirty four. You didn't need
to lose. Well I did, but it And the point
is is it works. And not to you know, kind
(04:28):
of delabor that point, but chuck on the Awaken one
eighty diet and it's not even a diet, it's a lifestyle.
Speaker 1 (04:33):
Chuck.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
Hey, well, and that's something you can't say you sit
around hungry all the time or anything like that. If anything,
I feel like, oh my gosh, I have to eat again, a.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
Ton of energy and the sleep, my sleep was now
for me and my wife was like, hey, you don't
snore anymore, which is amazing for both of us.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
I haven't heard that yet, but quite frankly, if it snore.
The queen wouldn't listen to me anyway.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Hey, I wanted to talk to you.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
You were all over this story last week about the
ridge View Middle School principal who had a little run
in with Columbus police. Her and the receptionists both were
incredibly disrespectful with There was a bomb threat there that
they called the cops to say, hey, come come check
this out. We got a kid who is suggesting he
(05:18):
may have a bomb in the school. Police get there
and then they were stonewalled when they got to the
front desk, and then the you know, the the principle
was was kind of acting a fool and and and disrespectful.
It was all caught on body cam and uh, you
know you talked to the fop. Dave Yost got involved.
Here's my problem with the whole thing is it's gone away.
(05:39):
They were looking, it's gone. It just it gets swept
under the rug, chuck, and it's nothing to see here.
She'll continue in that job for as long as she wants.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
That is that is the most When you said, though
she was disrespectful of the offerside and the district is
being disrespectful to all of us immediate action should be
taken updates should be out there. But you're right, it
disappeared off the radar. They're going to wait until everybody
forgets about it and then she'll quietly transfer to another
school or something like that. But she'll be fine. And
that's that's ridiculous that this woman and her bias, her fear,
(06:12):
her worryor her complaining, her prejudice, whatever you call it,
stood in the way of the safety of a few
hundred kids in that school and nobody should accept that.
And that the district doesn't understand that, then that tells
you what the district thinks of you as a voter,
a citizen, a parent, and a taxpayer, and that needs
to be dealt with as well.
Speaker 2 (06:30):
Well. This is why people are leaving the city school
system in droves and going into private schools because of
things like this. And do we know what, like why
they were so confident that there was not a threat
when the cops got there. Did they solve the bomb
threat problem? Is that why they were so standoffish and like, hey,
we don't need your help.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
We fixed this.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
I didn't see any details there. Did they Did they
find the kid who made the threat? And realized it
was a false There was no threat there, and that's
why they turned the cop a way.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Nothing verified. That's just my inclination. In listening to the principal,
the audio from the principal talking to the officer that day,
it sounds as if, you know, some kids just said something,
I'll blow this place up or something like that, okay,
and somebody felt compelled to call the school. It sounded
like she had already figured out that there was nothing
to it. But once that call is made, it doesn't
matter what you have figured out. They have a duty
(07:22):
to serve and protect me.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
You got in the way, yeah, yeah, show up and
if okay, if the people who called you are telling
you that the situation is clear and it's all good
and stand down, that's mine.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
We still need to check it out.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
We need to take your word, but we're going to also,
you know, trust, but verify and make sure that the
school is safe. And like you said, there's a couple
of hundred kids there whose safety who as mom and
dad dropped their kids off at school, they.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Expect the school administrators to keep them safe.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
But it's the lack of follow through, it's the lack
of any kind of accountability for this principle. And you're right,
she'll she'll transfer quietly to a different school after the
school year ends here in a month and a half.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
And you know, it's like the chuck, it's like the city's.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Data breach with the mayor who completely botched that entire thing.
You know, we still don't know exactly what happened. We
don't know that there has been no follow up on
that story that is coming up on a year in
July with.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
All and when they had the one guy who was
willing to follow up deve in and get to the
bottom of it, the first thing they it was, threatened
to arrest him. So, I mean, that was the guy
who was exposing the fact that while the mayor is
playing Officer Barb Brady out there and telling us nothing
to see here, this guy is exposed. Oh yeah, look,
this is out there. This is out there. And instead
(08:38):
of saying, hey, how are you getting that? Help us
fix this, their first threat was to arrest him.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Yeah, they wanted to. They put they gave him a
tea temporary restraining order. They they said, don't talk to
the media, talk to us. Well, we'll let the media
know what's going on. Don't worry. We're the government. We're
here to help talk to us. But again there's been
no there's been no you know, ribbon on that package
of here's what happened. Then we had an employee click
a bad link. It's as simple as that. We have
(09:04):
a new training it's a policy now for digital We
have that here at iHeart. You got to take all
these training systems and stuff to make sure you're not
you know, compromising the systems here at work. There's no
discussion of what they're going to do to prevent this
from happening. Again, that there's just the follow through. They
just want you to They think you're dumb. They want
(09:25):
you to forget about all these things.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Well, they want you to be dumb, whether it's the
city hall or the school system. You just passed. You
just passed a levee so that the school system could
treat you like this, You say, your tax dollars so
that city hall can treat you like this. They want
you dumb, uninvolved and not asking questions. That's how they
keep rolling.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Chuck, what's on the show tonight? Have you have you
gotten that far yet? Are you still losing?
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Usually I just show up in whatever Blazer says. It
takes me off becomes what I talk about in the
Power Hour. So we've got kind of a rhythm going
now
