Speaker 1 (00:00):
Have you ever had just one of those secrets you
were dying to tell everyone, You know, the kind where
you go home and tell it to the dog because
you just can't hold back. Well, I have a secret
that I'm dying to tell the story about now. I
wish it was some big announcement or some late breaking news,
but actually, actually it was really a horrible thing that
happened to us recently here at the store, and luckily,

(00:22):
fortunately for us, didn't materialize. But I can't wait to
tell you. And uh, okay, okay, one hint, one hint.
Those damn crazy people just cannot get over that there's
a new president in town. The rest of the story
on another day and maybe hopefully another addition to the
wall of shame on Target. It's up next. Good afternoon.

(00:45):
We're not talking. We're breadcasting live from the studios of
LAPD Farms Range and Training Facility that's located at nine
Pin nine, Triple nine, Bethel Road. I am your host,
Eric and I got a full house today. Did you
guys miss me?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
I didn't miss him? Did you miss him?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
What were gone?

Speaker 4 (01:02):
What?

Speaker 1 (01:02):
I'm sorry ell Ella missed me? I know she didn't.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
When was he not here. It didn't matter. We didn't
miss him thought.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
I was here. Yeah, Elle and I we were. We
were texting during the show and at one point I said,
I said, Hello, what was that song you played? Because
remember I think it was miss You by the Rolling
Stones could have been okay, and she just responded miss You,
and I thought, oh, that's so very nice. I sent
her back a little emoji with hearts and all this stuff.
She's like, no, that was the name of the song.

(01:34):
That was awkward. But anyways, guys, it was it was
sorry Ella, the guys, it was you.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Sounded good last week. I actually watched it on YouTube,
which was really flawless. I was out there and stuff.
It might be something where we need to start just
doing it on YouTube because the Facebook feed was was bad.
It was in and out the whole time. But YouTube
was really good. So I don't know. Anything you say,
I'll go with really all right, not let me think about.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It, miss you so I have to listen.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
So but no, guys, thanks, Everything sounded great last week,
and appreciate appreciate you guys all filling in stuff in
my absence, talking to Richie and stuff. It all sounded good.
Here you go, big man.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
So I just looks feebo or something.

Speaker 4 (02:23):
Yes, we're worried about my gosh. Guys.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
We are the owners of LAPD Farms, Range and Training facility,
interactive in law enforcement. But for one hour on Saturdays,
we put together a group of firearm experts discuss new products.
We got a ton of new products in the market today,
new products in the market, training tips, and oftentimes political
topics surrounding the Second Amendment. Our commitment that was always
being to bring you facts about our industry and help
listeners with customers with safe, responsible ownership of firearms. Guys,

(02:51):
I am, I am bursting at the scenes. Last week
we had Richie on Good Good Buddy of ours and stuff.
This week we have another friend who was just back
from Shot Show. Just just a casual guy at shot Show. Chuck,
you know him? You know that.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
I don't know who you're talking about.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Okay, this this guy, I mean, he is eight million
followers on YouTube. There was just a little bit more
than us. Who are we talking stuff?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
He's wearing the T shirts, so come on right there.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
I thought I thought he was banned or something.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I'm just still mystified. I just will stool and now
I'm the same height as Eric. It's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (03:25):
We are we uh know, we need to talk to
him about that because he was banned off of YouTube,
I mean, eight million followers, does things the right way, safe, responsible,
owner of guns and talking about that and stuff, and
was banded off of Facebook for a while. So we
will talk to him about that. But he was back
from the Shot show, so we're gonna get his take
on what he thought was neat and cool and uh

(03:46):
and actually there's a couple of videos he did recently.
I don't know if you've guys have gone out there
and watched, but there was one I want to ask
him about that was really kind of neat that he did.
So have you been out there and seen any of
his videos?

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Chuck, I haven't seen anything that entertains me for like
three months.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Really, he's been out there for like fifteen years.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
For the last three if it's been in the last
three months, I don't know what it is.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah, So, but he's good. He's going to join us
at twelve thirty, and we're so eager to see that.
JC had the news coming up into that, JC, what
did you guys think of that the Kitty Cat rifle
last week. Very nice that short ar from DPMs kind
of neat it, Yeah, kind of do we still have
because yeah, price was just I know really.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
I mean I was like less than six fifty and
it just absolutely it's really really cool. I mean it
was it's old school but lightweight two two three.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
Just just that was an And John, I think you
mentioned it looks like the old Olympic arms. It does,
and I have that Olympic arms. I mean it's almost
identical to it. I think from the late nineties or
early two thousands or something like that. But it's very
very similar to that.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
So much coming by that because that's Ryeah.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
It's really cool. We got more than one. I hope
no we only have one. Really yeah, I only could
get one of those at the moment. And stuff. We
like to think our sponsor's US law shield that they
were here today. I think Jackson, Egress, windows, black Wing,
shootings in the River's edge, cutlery and of course he
and it's engraving, all who make the show possible each
week joining me today. I got big at good big D.

Speaker 5 (05:09):
What do you gotta say anything? I'm just happy to
be you know what, I'm not riding, I'm not flying.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Would you walk here? You know, you talk about your Chicago.
I threw some numbers out there and if you saw
him and I ed. We're up to one hundred and
forty seven people shot in one month, and it.

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Went up forty seven for the month.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
On one forty seven for the month of January. Of January,
hope the federal.

Speaker 5 (05:36):
Correct it on up forty seven more deaths this last
week in one week because it was one hundred ye
last se exactly, yep, So forty seven more shot kill.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
And forty two people murdered this month. This is Those
numbers are up eleven percent over last year, they're saying,
and of course, true to form, ninety percent of the
victims black Urspanic, one hundred percent of the known assailants
black Hispanic.

Speaker 5 (06:01):
But their mayor is not going to comply with the
president because they yeah, he's going to make sure that
they don't come in there and take any bad guys
off the street. And they will fight tooth and nail, Yeah,
to keep Trump out, to keep the.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
Bad guys, keep the terrorists in yet back guys and
maybe we just all send them there. Yeah, that's crazy
like that, big Chuck. Do the system my right? Chuck?
Are you I look the other day. I think you're
on air more than your off air.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, I think so too.

Speaker 6 (06:30):
Do you that way?

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Do you?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
And that's a good thing. When you're at home with
the kids and stuff, who do you do you? Do
you have that same radio voice with them? I mean,
do you find yourself like people?

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I don't. This is just me. This is just me.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
Yeah, it's not.

Speaker 4 (06:49):
It is.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
So you've got that except what I'm yelling when I
yell yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yeah, you're grounded, get to your room. He's got that nice.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
I don't nothing.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Now.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Sometimes I'll do little voices what I'm trying to be
entertaining if we're doing a story or something like that.

Speaker 1 (07:03):
You know, I like to be characters. But all right,
all right, Well, good to hear you on the airways.
Awful lot these days. And j C to my left.
Always good to see j C. I know I heard
you pick up your new shotgun this week. Oh I
guess didn't you see the new one that you didn't
see the new shotgun to see it? Yeah, yeah, the
one on the wall.

Speaker 3 (07:22):
There No, there is no news shotgun entering my house.
My wife wants me to sell some you.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Know what that that is a good point, though, I
mean the way you are looking at you need to
bring in a couple of those and I'm with her,
you need to bring in a couple of those two
to trade out.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
I can't help. That's classical.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
It is classic, but it is. But I mean it
was like you talked about it so much. I mean
you went over there in the in the rack and there.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Behind it because it's a great one.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
But I said I would I would love to have
that one over there.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
I'm sure, j C. Let's get some news. I know
there's something a couple of thing this week that are kind.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Of after that last but that's maybe my last show,
so better get it done now.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
So uh so, don't worry about it. I didn't get it.

Speaker 1 (08:13):
It's over there, right, Okay.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
You keep saying that you can see it.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
It's still here. I mean again again, it's Jerney.

Speaker 3 (08:19):
For sale in the for sale right, but it's already
paid for.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
No, it's for sale for sale, not pay I'm looking
at it.

Speaker 2 (08:30):
I can hear starting the car and hitting this way
right now.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Can you lock the doorback? Security? Security? All right?

Speaker 4 (08:41):
News why.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
I mean, there's there's some big news, potentially really big news,
and there's just things are happening. Just to let you know,
there's been some We love Trump. We're just so thankful,
uh that that he's here. And he made the statement
that you know, he is going to follow through promises made,
promises kept. Unfortunately we haven't writing that. He said during
this first week that he would get rid of some

(09:04):
of the anti gun laws and he promises to the
to gun organizations and put it out there. Well, it's
been ten days and I've always been busy with a
lot of things, but this hasn't happened yet, so they're
going okay. You said during the first week he was
going to obliterate, as he said, some of the anti
gun policies that Biden had put in place. But despite

(09:27):
reports in the media to the contrary that this was happening.
One of the ones that really is concerned all of
the of the gun dealers is the fact that they
passed this zero tolerance policy. And when Biden did it,
he was making a big deal about, hey is to
keep the illegal gun dealers out there. We got to
get him off. We're not going to tolerate it, and

(09:48):
that all sounds well good, but in reality, his people
have been going back and looking for people that haven't
literally crossed a T or dotted an I or put
up you know, when you're filling out these forms. Somebody
transposed one of the numbers. It was on the twice
correct on the forum, but the third time the dyslexic
and transferred one.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
And they so they.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Revoked the dealership. They revoked the FFL based on these
little tiny clerical errors or something they couldn't read something there,
you got, we're going to pull your entire license for your.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Or they very least send you to revocation. Now some
of those didn't go through, but still it cost me
the store one thousand and thousand dollars. We heard some
of those samples right here.

Speaker 3 (10:31):
Yeah, I've given someone there. So what has happened? They
had just recently discovered in January that there was an
August twenty four internal atf menu a memo pardon me,
that was basically changing some of the language to soften
it a little bit. So this came as a result

(10:54):
of a case that was a revocation case. So they
added some new language and the new language is they
changed that they're slightly the definition of wilful violation that
would trigger a revocation. So they changed they said the
terms wilful and wilfulness mean purposeful disregard or a reckless

(11:14):
disregard of known legal obligations, which you know, that makes sense.
But then they also had a language that stating that, well,
a single inadvertent era may not amount to wilful violation
to revoke your license, So a single error may not
do that, may not do that. But anyway, they changed

(11:37):
that to kind of like soften it a little bit.
They said, in any case, the memo notably retains the
word zero tolerance language, and they said much of the
agency's behavior has not changed. As a matter of fact,
According to the FFL inspection data published by the ATF
show that monthly inspections in November, who was last year,

(11:59):
saw the second highest monthly number of revocations.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
For the year.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
But it's also was the third highest monthly total revocations
since they adopted the zero tolerance policy in June of
twenty one. So they say one thing and then revocations.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
I gotta think that that's coming down to pike and
mean because with DETI back on now, you know, I
don't think, you know, talking to some of my buddies
within the agency, the vast majority of the guys didn't
want to conduct themselves as they were being instructed to,
so I think, and I even heard stories that they
kind of drug their feet on a couple of things,

(12:36):
hoping for a change in leadership come January. So I
can't imagine that that is going to continue much longer
if it's still going on.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Yeah, we all want bad dealers out of there, absolutely,
think absolutely if they're doing anything, But it just seems, hey,
we're going to change. It softened a little bit and
now we have the third highest revocations. Okay, this is
a huge one. We'll see where this goes because it's
just in the initial stages. But it's a Fifth Circuit
Court of Appeals. On Thursday, that's amazing. They struck down

(13:10):
a combination of federal statutes, including the fineteen sixty eight
Gun Control Act, in regards to prohibiting eighteen to twenty
year olds from purchasing handguns at licensed retailers. So, you know,
as we all know right now, though sixty eight you
had to be twenty one years old to buy a handgun.

(13:30):
You could buy shotguns rifles, but in the Gun Control
Act of sixty eight they said, no, you had to
be to buy a handgun. You had to be twenty
one or older. Well, they struck this down in a
case called a Reese versus the ATF, and they said
that these regulations are unconstitutional in the light of the

(13:52):
nation's historic tradition of firearms regulation as came out of
Brewin when they were looking back at that at those times.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
This marks the.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
First time a federal appeals court has struck down federal
handgun purchase ban since the Supreme Court aldered the tests,
which was the Brewing case. This was the first time
so basically said that the sixty eight Gun Control Act
and subsequent ATF regulations are really unconstitutional.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Here's the part I liked about this.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
It was interesting they said that the panel noted that
the government was at a distinct disadvantage in its need
to offer historical support for modern day restrictions of eighteen
to twenty year olds. That's because the seventeen ninety two
Militia Act required eighteen year olds to enroll in the

(14:45):
militia and bring their own weapons to military service. So
they said that that they enjoyed the same Second Amendment
rights for the eighteen to twenty year olds that the
other folks did. So we don't know where this is
going to go. Because of the three judge panel, it
was all but but.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Wow, that's awful. That's interesting. I the words that we
consider them adults for everything else, Maybe it's time to
look at them in that regards to them all. Guys,
we're gonna jump to a break on the other side
and talk them a little bit more about news and
also the two glocks that we've been talking about the
last couple of weeks are right here in person. You'll
get our first impression of those. We're on to talk
of broadcasting life in the studios of LPD Farms and Range.

(15:22):
We'll be back right after the break. Is that is
that true? Can you confirm that, Chuck?

Speaker 2 (15:28):
They might be at this point.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Yeah, right, Tho's loud speakers. You know what's amazing to
me is kind of being a law and order type
of guy. You know, they've rounded up with thousands now right.
They knew where these people were all along, Yes, they
knew where they were. They knew they were criminals, and
somebody Biden Harris all those other idiots told them to

(15:52):
stand down and let those people stay. They knew where
they were.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
This always been stupid when you said, we don't know
where they are, we can't deport them. But there's thirteen
million of them. How do you know there's thirteen million?
If you don't know, I.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Can't believe it. I suspected when they set out to
go grab them that it would be a while were
they at They're going right to them. What you don't
realize how bad it was until you start seeing these
things come out that you're saying.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Her orders are was not quite doing her job.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
Oh my word.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
And when your old country does not want you back,
that kind of tells you what kind of person you
were in the right. I mean, they flew the planes
down there calling me. He goes, nope, nope, you can't
bring them back. What they're your people?

Speaker 3 (16:35):
She was actually the border bazaar, I mean yeah, because
it was it was a oh my goodness, that's horrible.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
Yep. Jase one other do a couple other quick quick ones.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Okay, yeah, this was one that came out of the
sixth Circuit Court, another federal court. There's another lawsuit against
the sig sour for their P three twenty, which it
now has I don't know. They had one hundred and
sixty or something suits that were active, and this was
for the discharge of the gun accidentally, why without even
touching you know, the trigger. And so this one was

(17:09):
this was thrown out a court before, but it went
up to the sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and they said, no,
you can have a jury trial on this. And this
was a gentleman who said he was getting out of
his pickup truck and he had a holstered SIG P
three twenty and it went off and shot him in
the leg. Well, this is just now now starting back

(17:29):
in the first of its kind suit that was successful
was in June. We covered all this in Georgia where
they awarded a two point three million dollar Another shooting
involved a P through twenty. The big one happened in
Philadelphia in November. Eleven million dollar suit was granted against

(17:52):
Sig Salur for their accidental discharge where it just goes off.
There were a lot of police officers, military instructors that
have been in by this and this one. Uh well,
also there was another one looming ahead and all the
first death of a man who was just walking and
it went off, shot in the groin, thumber artery boom,

(18:12):
gone in ninety seconds, and that one hasn't come up yet,
but this one they're going to kick back, so they Hey,
it's interesting what he said. This person who is suing
said that SIGs hour. His argument was that the P
three to twenty model lacks any external safety mechanism such
as a manual thumb or grip safety, and that constituted

(18:33):
a product defect which led.

Speaker 1 (18:35):
To the discharge.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
And even though he could have purchased one with a
safety that was available in the store at the same time,
he chose to get one without. But the fact that
it went off as he was getting out of the truck.

Speaker 1 (18:48):
The you know, so any day kind like a valid argument.
I mean, there's a lot of gains without safety.

Speaker 4 (18:52):
But they're going to allow They're gonna allow it.

Speaker 3 (18:53):
Yeah, that's what's what they argue. But they're just saying
it was a defect in the design of the gun.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
That allowed it to do that.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
They have a lot of.

Speaker 5 (18:59):
Cases where this I just don't understand why six hour
doesn't stand behind their product and say we're going to
take them.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
All back, just recall the things.

Speaker 5 (19:06):
Yes, we're going to make this good for the ones
that want to fight this and have all these lawsuits
and get their name thrown in the mud.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
And the perception, I don't you know whether there is
a valid issue or not. There is certainly a perception.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
I'm sorry the guy's dead, but I'm wondering how you're
carrying walking and shoot yourself in the growing.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yeah, he had the.

Speaker 3 (19:30):
Pants, carrying in the pants.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
Yeah, but that's one of the toward your friend, one
of my favorite ways to carry and I was in
front in your No, that's what they say.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
Good for them.

Speaker 3 (19:43):
Well, in any case, I do not know where he's
where he's carrying that. That was the one previous. This
other guys getting out of a truck and as it
as leg was moving over, apparently it went off and
shot him in the leg.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
He said.

Speaker 3 (19:53):
The ruling, you know, they said, basically, it just brings
a lot of scrutiny now that it's allowing another set
of claims, and they that could snowball. Here's a quick one,
but it's a really I don't know what's happening out
west the state of Washington. They have passed a whole
series of restrictive gun control bills are just horrible. But
now they're outraged at the introduction of House Bill fifteen

(20:14):
oh four, a measure that would prohibit not just the
purchase of a firearm unless you have insurance, but if
you have possession of any firearm, you are going to
be required to have firearm liability or else you cannot
possess any firearms. One hundred percent of the people who
on firearms are going to have to prove that they

(20:35):
have liability insurance to cover any damage caused by that firearms.
An eighteen page bill, and they actually said, unfortunately that
because of what's happening out there, they think it's probably
going to go through.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
It will and last.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Quick one Colorado bill would be in the manufacturer sale
or someone out of many guns with detachable magazines. We
covered that before, but now it's past its first hurdle.
They had an eight hour long committee meeting with the
folks just outraged about it, but the Democrats. It was
a committee, so it was up five people three to
two Democrats voted for it, and they said it is

(21:12):
It's in the Senate, and they said it's expected to
pass the Senate, and this would basically be in the possession.
About possession, they know this has been the sale manufacturer
of any semi automatic rifle, pistol, shotgun with a detachable magazine.
And they said that they had to be if you

(21:33):
kept that, they had to be permanently fixed magazine by
welding a POxy or soldering that you can't take it out,
and it couldn't have more than fifteen rounds. So and
that is one that they.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
Can get there. But yeah, so anyway, I'm educated.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
The insurance requirement will pass. We already seen that same
thing with cars. You have to prove you have insurance.
Whether you were in an accident or not, you have
to prove you have insurance. Of law enforcement says, give
me the insurance. You got to show it to him.
You can't drive without it. They'll pull you over to
checkpoint to prove you're not drunk. You got to prove
your innocence. You're not innocent until proven guilty anymore. It'll
happen with this too, and all State, State Farm, all

(22:09):
the biggies. Watch them start getting into competition with usc
c A and all these other exclusive gun insurance companies.
They'll they'll just have the market little mini companies and
handle just this, which hopefully if we've got to do it,
if the laws come around and make us do it,
it'll that's.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
Not sure what the insurance is. I mean, what is
you actually? I mean, if you shoot.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
Somebody, I'm shooting at a bad guy and I end
up hitting the old lady with a baby carriage behind him,
you know something like that, somebody's gonna sue. You know
that's going to happen.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
So you know you're gonna get suited no matter what.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Why does the old lady have a baby carriage?

Speaker 2 (22:42):
Because it's a grand kid?

Speaker 1 (22:44):
All right? It was it was Chuck's queen. All right, guys,
we're gonna dock to the bottom of that news and
we come back on the other side. Our good friend
just back from shot show is gonna report into us.
Hiccock forty five is on the other side. We're on
talking of broadcasting live from the studio of LPD Firearms
and Arranger. We'll be right back. Welcome back to on Target.
I'm Herre's Derek joined today in the LPD studios. I

(23:06):
got little John Creole to my left. I have big
ed little Chuck Douglas. We're all sitting here around with
a live studio audience. How about that live studio audience?
Not bad, guys, that's not bad guys.

Speaker 6 (23:20):
I do know.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
I'm gonna throw out some facts here for you just
to just to kind of get you warmed up. So,
Howard Stern has about two point four million followers on YouTube. Okay,
Howard Stern, Yeah, right right now? Okay, And Howard Stern.
Luke Bryan has about three point two million followers on YouTube. Okay,

(23:46):
I mean he's popular, right, yeah, like Laura listens to.
Yeah popular. Tom Brady has two hundred and forty nine
thousand followers on Facebook. Okay, that is sad. Our next guest,
Our next guest has seven point nine to three million
followers on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Patrick Mahomes is joining us.

Speaker 4 (24:06):
That's great.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
He is the man responsible for so many sleepless nights.
I'll tell you there's so many nights, so many mornings.
I wake up and I cuss his name because my
night was cut short watching his videos. Our next guest,
mister Hiccock forty five, joins us. How are you doing, sir? Yeah?

Speaker 6 (24:25):
Fine, how y'all doing?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
We're good now I wanted to spell a rumor here, like,
you're at seven point nine to three mili and I
don't know if you you know, follow that with your
appearances on on Target. Do you expect to get a
bump to get you to the eight million mark after this?

Speaker 6 (24:40):
I would expect within the next five minutes probably. Yeah,
we have a lot of followers. I wish i'd I'll
come back and watch every video, but we're happy to
have hey boy that wants to watch us.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Yeah, you've really I mean, in all honesty though, you
have really created a neat platform, a neat a neat
place now to be able to go if you're in
the market for a firearm or if you want to
learn about an old one. I mean, there's a darn
good chance you've touched one over the years and you
get an honest review of it, So it truly isn't
And I know we joke about, you know, watching the

(25:15):
videos all night, but it's addictive. I mean, John, how
many times have you started with one and gone down
that rabbit hole?

Speaker 3 (25:20):
And I oftentimes watched the same one over and over
again because he and I have kind of the same
bed and what we like.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
Yester hickock.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
You are indeed the laziest potato chip of YouTube. You
can't handle one that just can't hand.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
You can he use it.

Speaker 6 (25:33):
I'm just a gun. I can't help it, and so.

Speaker 1 (25:37):
And you I sell. Recently, you actually introduced a new
channel as well, called the Shooting Channel. Is that correct?

Speaker 6 (25:46):
Yeah? John is pulling clips from here. We have a
lass library doing this for seventeen or eighteen years now,
and so he's pulling clips off for two different channels,
two alternate channels. It's one hiktok forty five clips and
then the other one is hiktok forty five shoots where

(26:06):
it's just shooting and then the clips is maybe not
just shooting, maybe some yacting or whatever. But it's all
clips from you know, our library, and it's done really well.
People seem to enjoy and just kind of why not.
It brings some of these videos back to life that
we did fifteen years ago or three years ago that
people haven't seen. You know how that is if you

(26:30):
you probably do or have an idea, like you know,
there's so much out there. Everybody doesn't see all the videos,
even if they follow us. Of course, they may see
ten percent of them even because you know, YouTube's not
good about suggesting gun videos anymore. It's just all kind
of random, and so you know, it's interesting people they

(26:51):
really think those are new videos sometimes when they see
those on those channels because they missed it last year
or six months ago or ten years ago. Anyway, it
keeps them alive. It's great.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
Yeah, that's good. That's good. And you were when I
when I reached out to you were just back from
a shot show. I think you didn't go last year, correct.

Speaker 6 (27:12):
Right, I missed last year in but my wife went
with me this year. We went on a three week trip.
We were out for twenty twenty one days through you know,
Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Carson City, Blake, Tyler. We had
a nice trip and part of that was shot show.
Of course.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Wow, how was it? I mean for those who've never been,
actually none of us around here have been. I mean,
was it good? I mean, is it something that that
people should try to get to one time and with
it worthwhile? Well?

Speaker 6 (27:42):
I think if you're in if you're in the industry,
of course, and you can go and everything media or whatever. Yeah,
I would recommend anybody go at least one time. It
is such a huge, huge event. It's very tiring, and
you can't get around to see everything. It's probably more
interesting and more exciting if you haven't gone very many times,

(28:04):
or it's your first time, you know, kind of like
l a meeting, you know, exhibits, you know, if you've
never been to that, that's just right wild. They're all here,
you know. So it's just really great and overwhelming, depending
on what you do and how interesting you are new
guns and in all of that. But I can take
her to leave it. But I enjoy it. I think

(28:27):
I enjoy it more now. I don't try to get
around it to everything. I picked my spots and my time,
and there are certain things I want to see, and
I go to the antique gun show at the end
of the week, and you know, so I just enjoyed
the whole week. But I don't abused myself by trying
to get to every single boot.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Do you find I mean, can you enjoy it? Are
you constantly being stopped and distracted with well?

Speaker 6 (28:52):
Yeah, yeah, I get to talk to a lot of
people viewers, and that's all good. Meet people I haven't
met before, and some of them are in the industry.
And others do videos that I met yet or just whatever,
and uh yeah, we don't have any ties to gun companies,
but it is kind of interesting to talk to you know.
I got to chat with the president or the CEO

(29:15):
of Smith and Wesson for a little bit, some things
like that. You know. It's it's just kind of nice
to be there where everybody is, you know.

Speaker 3 (29:21):
And I guess at six foot eight, you're kind of
a standout. It's pretty hard to hide in the crowd
with you and your son at the sun and here.

Speaker 6 (29:30):
As ugly as I am, as big as I am,
they're gonna they're gonna see me.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Anything stands out this time, Anything that that wouda that
you thought, you know what, I wouldn't mind get my
hands on that.

Speaker 6 (29:41):
Uh well, a couple of things. Of course. I'm a
well I like all guns, but I particularly love revolvers
and those sorts of things. So I was excited to
see the smith at West and bringing the Mountain guns back.
You know. I looked at those and tried to steal
one of those but couldn't get the cord cut, you know.
And and then the no lock then no lock models,

(30:03):
the Model ten, Model thirty six Those look really really cool.
It's great to have those out with you know, the classics,
and they don't have the ugly, you know, internal lock
on them. And so say again with Smith and Wesson.
The Ultimate Caerrey the six thirty two is coming out
in a Titanium and there's just some neat stuff in

(30:24):
the revolver world coming out. And I like revolvers.

Speaker 4 (30:27):
You know what I saw too.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
And I don't know if this was an officially announced
it shot or just late last year, but you know,
the tourist line of Revolvers, which I never would have thought,
are you know, a higher end They came out with
the executive series and some of those looked really really nice.

Speaker 6 (30:43):
Yeah, I didn't see those, but I heard about some
of those and I was just you guys are probably
familiar with the American Fighting Revolvers Site Dryl and Brian.
You might have listened to those guys, But anyway, they
were talking about that just recently in a podcast I
was listening to you about there's some I forget the
model names. So some of those Paris models now are

(31:06):
really nice and well made.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
Yeah, it looks it looked like that just from just
watching some of the videos that are out there. Of
course one of our favorites. Of course I haven't touched
it yet, but kind of a novelty but kind of
neat though. Do you see the Celtech came out with
that five seven they're a compact that stripper clip fed.

Speaker 6 (31:23):
Yeah. I didn't see it at they're booth. I did
see it in a video. It's pretty interesting. Yeah. Yeah,
I'm not a big fan of that cartridge. I just
you know, I don't I don't get excited about little
bitty fast cartridges, even though they're good and they're effective
and all that kind of thing, But so it's not
as much interesting, uh you know for me?

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Well maybe yeah, that's vergeon for you and I. What
do you think about that?

Speaker 6 (31:49):
So about which one?

Speaker 3 (31:52):
I said, what, maybe they'll come up with a forty
five a CP that'll spark spark your interest.

Speaker 6 (31:56):
Oh yeah, that's right. I'm just a big which I
can't help it. I can't. Yeah, I go to shot show.
What do I come home with? I stopped at gunshops
all along the way here and there. When I let's
see one or new one? What do I come home with?
Another forty five to seventy from the Antique arm Show.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Speaking of that, we're talking to Hickock forty five if
you're just joining us. I was watching some of your
videos recently, and there's one that really caught my attention
because it interests me as well. But is it. Were
you shooting a ten thousand dollars cult US Army pistol
the other day?

Speaker 6 (32:35):
Uh? Yeah, yeah, yeah. In fact, that's where I got that,
uh several years ago at the Antique arm Show in
Las Vegas. Had the Copek letter with it and everything.
Uh yeah, that's my premier collector's piece, I guess, and
I've had it for a few years now, and I
had gotten Cimmarron, you know, the new replica version of
that gun, you know, the US Cavalry Revolver forty five cold. Now, well,

(33:00):
we just do a little all those humorous comparison. We
do some of those occasionally, you know, a cheap gun
versus expensive gun and what's the difference. You know, we've
done eight or nine or there's probably over the years.
Well we do that with this, yeah, yeah, just just
kind of for fun. But yeah, there's a lot of
people don't understand maybe that collector's pieces and that sort

(33:21):
of thing and how they can be so you know,
pricey and so yeah, that was fun. Now I shoot
that about once a year a few times and clean
it up really well.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
It's so neat though, because you think about that, and
that's part of my intrigue with firearms. I mean, that
firearm is from eighteen eighty three, I think you mentioned,
and you can still go out there and shoot it,
and you just think of the history and think about
what it was like to shoot it in eighteen eighty
three when it was the latest and greatest. But it's
still a very functional piece, and I think that's what's

(33:51):
neat about the firearms market.

Speaker 6 (33:54):
Oh me too, I take care of that thing. I
mean it's a little along with a seven a half
inch bail, but you could carry that thing in her
shoulder and ulture and you would still be armed pretty well, you.

Speaker 1 (34:04):
Know absolutely when you were talking about that the Kopec letter,
Is that just for single action armies or would that
apply to Is he do that for other things as well?

Speaker 6 (34:16):
Uh? I don't. I don't know. I've got one. I
guess at least of his books on the single accent.
I don't know that he does that for others if
he's an expert in other areas. Uh, but definitely he's
it's renowned and the cult single actions and all generations
and he looks them over and he can tell you
what's been you know, done to it or if anything's

(34:38):
been replaced and all that kind of thing need right,
So kind of like the cult letter Chip, this is
one of that evaluation of the gun, reinspects it and
uh you know signs that and you know that's that
I would not buy one of it. I know my limitations,
just like the coin or something. You know, you think
you got a coin is valuable, or you buy one

(34:58):
you think it's valuable, it's rare and so works this
or that, and you know you may have been through
some of that before. Well maybe it is, maybe it's not.
Well with the COOPEC letter, you know, it's just pretty
much verified. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:11):
Well, and it sparked my interest because I have a
couple old old Colts. One is a model eighteen forty
nine pocket revolver that was it's stamped Baltimore City Police
and it is supposedly one of the first firearms that
were issued to police agencies. So up until that point,

(35:31):
you know, if you're in law enforcement. You kind of
brought your own firem it sounded alike. And at that
point it was one of the first ones that the
department said, we're going to purchase these in issue them.
I actually have a copy, an original copy of the
receipt where the City of Baltimore ordered them. So I
would love to take that and send that away and
have someone look at a Yeah, I.

Speaker 6 (35:51):
Bet, I bet he probably knows about those, you know,
that's in the same line, just older. But yeah, I would,
I would. I would expect them to know a lot
about that. I don't know, you he's still living as
far as I know, and you could contact him and
you know, check with him on that one.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Yeah, but yeah, yours is engraving in the Baltimore Police Department.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
It's just it's just absolutely doffe.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
I mean, and there's one, there's one two from eighteen
seventy seven that I have. This is Metropolitan Police Department
of d C. So, I mean, think about that, the
DC Police Department from the eighteen seventies, and this is
what these guys are carrying.

Speaker 6 (36:23):
So definitely, all, yeah, those old guns are special, Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
They are. They are what else anything else that jumped
out at you shot show.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
Well, well I did get to meet missus glock. He
sort of jumped out at me, and that was a
little bit wow. Yeah, I don't know. You know, there's
some interesting things that the Chicago came out that takes
a glock magazine. That's interesting, and I ran across Henry.
I didn't really I don't know how long it's spent
out or if it's new or not, but it was.

(36:55):
I think it was a Model twenty three Supreme and
it was a lever gun that takes three hundred blackouts
and it takes a r you know, three hundred blackout magazine.
I thought, well, that's wild. It was very smooth. I'm
going to get a hold of those and do a
video with it. But yeah, you run in things like that,
and I don't keep up because we do any gun

(37:18):
I'm interested in, and we do some new guns too,
But unlike a lot of I guess people that do
YouTube videos, they focus more on what's the newest and
the coolest and all that sort of thing, and what's
the newest canny or the newest disc or smith or staccato.
I don't keep up with it as as much as
you know some do. And so when I go to
shot or in a me, I run across gun been

(37:40):
out for two years. Oh, I didn't know that was
around it. It's cool. I think I'll see if I
can get one of those.

Speaker 1 (37:45):
Yeah, it caught me.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
Also, did you happen to see that Savage lever action
they have? I know it's just in twenty two, twenty
two mag or seventeen, but I love lover actions, and yeah,
the one is just going to be the release, but
it's also a push button takedown. You put told button
in picked down two pieces as the first Savage I've
come out with since the old ninety nine, So.

Speaker 1 (38:05):
I was interested in that.

Speaker 6 (38:07):
Yeah, it's amazing what's what's out there and what's coming out,
and you know the gun, Uh, the industry is so
competitive and so it's just wow. It's it's a great
time to be alive and be a shooter.

Speaker 1 (38:19):
It is. Well, we appreciate you calling. It's kind of
an annual tradition now, so we appreciate it. Any trip
or any plans on being back here in the Columbus area, uh, not.

Speaker 6 (38:31):
In the immediate future that I know of, but you
never know. You never know, I don't want to get
in my car for a little while. I drive six
thousand miles this month.

Speaker 1 (38:41):
Wow, And I was trying to stay away from planes
for the moment. Just hold off.

Speaker 6 (38:46):
Yeah, I was glad I was driving U recently. I
told you, what if there's a third plane crash, I'm
gonna start putting my tenfold hat on over this. Really
I like to drive. I don't mind driving a nice
comfort of car and we just take off, and I
hate to fly anyway. And so I just enjoy driving

(39:09):
through the West to pretty much every year. Really thoroughly
enjoy that.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
Good good. Well, we sot appreciate you calling it. Hey,
one of our listeners here says, if L E p
D sends you a target, will you shoot it on
one of your videos? But I, yeah, I figured that
at now, if we send you one of our targets,
well you shoot it on a video. And I said,
you know what, that's going to start people sending targets
from all over the country. Table you know that could

(39:33):
be a segment.

Speaker 6 (39:37):
Yeah, it could be. I'll think about that. Yeah, we're
be careful a ut setting precedents, you.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Know, But I know you're just giving you hard time.

Speaker 6 (39:45):
I hate your target. I'm not sure what your targets
look like. I forgot.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Yeah they're they're they're just simple simple round lians.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (39:53):
But to have him sign it after he shot it,
what do you have to be in a video?

Speaker 1 (39:59):
I just like to have it.

Speaker 4 (40:00):
Yeah, the signature face on it.

Speaker 6 (40:04):
Ye, I'll shoot it and sign it and stay it back.

Speaker 1 (40:09):
We have the one here too when he was shooting here.
So oh we have an part two.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
They send him a target with no holes in it.
That way we can tell you that's where Eric was
practicing before sending it.

Speaker 1 (40:19):
Yes, that's right. Well, thank you so much for calling
in and really appreciate you taking your time on a Saturday,
especially after coming back from a long trip and stuff.
Stay in touch with the Zerbra anything we can do
to help, or if you if you have something you're
looking for, I know budds keep you guys, you know,
uh in the guns well and stuff. If there's anything
unique you're looking for, just yet and we can see
if we can track it down as well.

Speaker 6 (40:39):
Well. I appreciate it and if I'm in the I'll
definitely stop by.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
We have a we have an air mattress and an
extra long sweeping bag for you whenever you arrives.

Speaker 1 (40:49):
That's good, perfect, Thank you so much. That's mister Hiccock
forty five out there on the YouTube channel. As they say, guys,
to start to a break. We'll come back. We have
a few more minutes to get to a few things
we want talk a broadcasting left in the studios of
LAPD firearms arrange. We'll be right back, big Ed. I
have JC all around here. Hickock forty five is always
good to talk to you. I mean, it's just like

(41:09):
one of the guys like he could just sit down
here and we probably would too. Well, he had and
he came through that one day.

Speaker 3 (41:15):
That's why it has eight million followers because he's just
like that on the videos and just it's so much fun.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
And good down there. And you know what, he's never
every time I've reached out to him and you know,
just checked in and asked him when he's and he said, hey,
can you jump on? He's always he's always obliged. Oh,
absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
You know, catch on, man. You have the right attitude, presentation,
just that one little thing about you that makes people
like you. Social media stuff. I was just reading one
NIGHTE where's a kid in Italy? Young man in Italy.
He looks like he's like from Africa or something, very
dark complexion. He lost his job and started doing these
videos on TikTok and there's no talking. He just liked mins.

(41:54):
Here's some stupid stuff. It's like, you know, with the
camera and things like that. They pay him now up
to seven hundred fifty thousand dollars per post. This kid's
been paid twenty million dollars for doing my videos just
because people like him.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
So what I want?

Speaker 4 (42:09):
So what's going on with you, Chuck?

Speaker 1 (42:11):
People don't like me? Not what I heard, but it
is I mean it. Yeah, if you can break into
that yes and touch upon things. I mean, that's that's
the way. I mean. I I think I'm old school.
It's hard to let go. But these kids, that's all
they do. I'm not just the kids.

Speaker 5 (42:28):
But I guess you're saying stupidity pace Yeah, okay, yeah.

Speaker 1 (42:32):
I mean it's true though. I mean that's what they do.
They just sit and watch and watch and watch. So
jac in a couple of minutes left. We obviously didn't
get to our whole list of items for for shut show.
We'll hit that next week next but we do have
a minute here talk about the glocks here that we
did get in. These are the ones that you have
one there too. These are the identical no. Once in
nineteen and one a forty eight. I think these are

(42:54):
the ones that come with the acro site integrated in them.

Speaker 3 (42:59):
And matter of fact, the only way you can get it.
They do not sell this as an adult of yourself.
If we have to buy the firearm and it's set
up at the factory and it's uh, it's using the
aim point.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
It's a new point. It's a new it's a brand.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
New aid point, and it's made solely to mate with
the glock.

Speaker 5 (43:17):
This is the first one that I've picked up with
the site on it where I actually found the dot.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
Seriously, yeah, and that's not having the search for it
and that's uh yeah, Well I got a orange.

Speaker 1 (43:31):
Chamber flag in front of me. But it's nice. I
mean it truly is. We have them for sale here.
They're starting to trickle in. But you see how that is, Chuck.
I mean, it's actually cut out for that specific optic,
and they don't sell that optic on its own right now,
it's only.

Speaker 3 (43:45):
It's a package, and yeah, this is it's unique, proprietary
and they worked it out together and it's really.

Speaker 1 (43:52):
Really Heavid guys. Next week we're going to talk about
some of the shot show items that we didn't get
to talk about today, and of course the news of
the day. Thanks for spending the last hour with us.
Thanks for everyone around the desk and for Chuck taking
over last week, and for all the live studio audience.
Chuck and who I said everyone around the desk.

Speaker 4 (44:11):
Said, Chuck taken over?

Speaker 1 (44:12):
Yeah it was Chuck, John and Ed I know it
or Ed and Chuck. Guys, stop by and see us.
We'll be back next week, same time, and let's be
careful out there.
