Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, there is no monologue today. There is not one
monologue today, but rather six or seven monologues today. Guys,
stay tuned. We are going to go through some of
the most memorable openings over the years. All that and
a little bit of news I'll target is next. Good afternoon,
walking on Target. We're by casting live from the studios
(00:20):
of LPD Firearms Ranging Training Facility that's located at nine
nine nine Bethel Road. If you've never been here, I'm
your host, Eric along with I got Paul, Paul and
Big Ed both here on either side of the table.
And listen to that live studio audience.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
You got me here under false pretenses.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
You gotta do what you gotta do. I mean you hear.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Whining that he's by himself today.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Yeah, and you're whining because you're here.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
Yeah. So what difference does it make?
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yes, two wines don't make all right.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
No difference. Okay, keep it up. We'll talk about your
new pickup truck.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
We'll talk about my new pickup truck.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
Jeez, I've already lost control. Guys. We are the owners
of LPD Firearms Ranging Training Facility, Interactive in Law Enforcement,
but for one hour on Saturdays, we put together a
group of firearm experts to discuss new products in the market,
training tips, and oftentimes political topics surrounding the Second Amendment.
Our commitment, though, has always been to bring you facts
about our industry and help customers and listeners with safe,
(01:21):
responsible ownership of firearm. Today on the show, first of all,
I want to thank our good friend Mike from Rivers
Edge Cutlery from jumping on with us last week. Always
good to talk to him and see what's going on
over there. If you've never been there, definitely worth a
trip there in Hillier to see him. And also thank Jake,
our sales manager, who came on last week. Went through
(01:42):
some used firearms. We have a ton. I'm telling you
we got another batch in last week. There was a
lot of good things over there Edge you might need
to look at on your way out. There is no
JC today, and I'm gonna be honest, there is very
little news, but there's something we're going to get to
here shortly. That is, let's just say it's one big,
(02:02):
beautiful piece of news, yes, that we're gonna be talking
about for a brief moment, but for three quarters of
the show today, we're gonna replay a few of the
openings we've done over the years. It's not really to
dwell on the past, but rather to make sure we
don't forget history and how fragile everything is as we
(02:23):
celebrate our Independence Day this weekend. Fortunately, as you listen
to some of these monologues going back to twenty twenty,
I think you can say, hopefully we've moved on from
some of this ideology, but rest assured it's still there, guys,
and it's something that we need to make sure that
we keep our guard up for going forward. So we're
(02:44):
going to talk about that. Go down a little bit
of a memory lane up here shortly. Actually, we also
like to thank our sponsors US law Shield, Jackson, Egress Windows,
black Wing Shooting Centers and of course Rivers at Cutlery,
all who look the show possible each week. Joining me
today in the LAPDS videos, Big ed to my right, Hey,
how was your motorcycle ride?
Speaker 4 (03:03):
My motorcycle ride was was great?
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Really are you back on the bike.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
I'm still selling it. It's up for sale. It's listed.
Anybody's interested. It's twenty fourteen Ultra Classic Earlie Davidson.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
How are the shocks on those they're fine.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Okay, you're pushing the envelope.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Now you're pushing the Wait so you but you were
back on the bike last week for the poker run.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
Uh it was.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
It was in honor of Deputy Sheer who was murdered
in our department. And we had a great turnout. Beautiful weather,
a bit on the warm side as as like today,
but it was good. It was a good turnout. It
was a good ride. I enjoyed the ride. I rode
with a couple of fellow Blue Knights.
Speaker 4 (03:45):
Actually, oh good.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
And we had a We had an uneventful as far
as any problems, so that was nice to see and
have got home.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
I was exhausted, oh for a while. Yeah he was
just draining.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Yeah you wear heavy jacket or anything when.
Speaker 4 (04:03):
You know, okay, just a helmet. Okay, I learned my listen,
there really.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
The other voice you hear? Iss back? Hey, Yeah, I'm
celebrating in your festive for the ly attire.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Yeah, I just can't put the hat on with the headset.
But uh yeah, yeah, I'm back. And of course I'm
always here, right, I'm always here and you don't really
recognize me, yes, as being always here?
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Recognize you trust me.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
But yeah, you know, I think for everybody listening is
that I basically set up the show and make sure
that we have good contact with the radio station.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
So that's the things I do behind the.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Scene, behind the scenes. The guys, if you missed the show,
you can always catch the podcast. It's at sixteen to
b TV dot com, iHeartRadio. It's on spreaker, iTunes, really
any place out there you listen to podcasts. We are
out there also on Facebook and YouTube and ed you're
out there on Facebook today.
Speaker 5 (05:03):
I am checking in. We got several people are I
want to say, our old school friends are on here,
old Paul, Cynthia, Steve, my brother Mike, and some mother.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
Jim Scott.
Speaker 5 (05:17):
I think he might be What about Hutch. Hutch is
not checked in yet. He's probably still doing the right idiots.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
And yeah, there you go, guys. One piece of news
and we're gonna it's actually there's not a whole lot
to say about it, but it is one big, beautiful
piece of news. With the bill that got signed yesterday
by President Trump part of that. And this has gone
back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. But
this is what has shaken out at the end in
(05:43):
regards to suppressors, not just suppressors, suppressors short burrow shotguns,
short barrow rifles. Going forward, starting in January of twenty
twenty six, you will no longer have to pay the
two hundred dollars tax stamp.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Awesome for those.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
It is wonderful. News wasn't quite as good as we
were hoping. We were hoping that that it would they
would take this completely out of the NFA. So still
under this arrangement, you got to go through the background
check with the fingerprints. We do it with the kios here.
It's super slick it. You know, you get the suppressor
back the information in twenty four to forty eight hours
off and hopefully this sets it up to take it
(06:22):
out of that and put it so you could do
it just like you do a firearm.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
So with the svrs, you still got to do fingerprints
and stuff.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
You still do you start to do the fingerprints, it's
still under the NFA. But now there's a huge argument
that is already starting to come about, saying why do
we need to go through that. There's no tax stamp
with it. So I envisioned this to stepping stone to
eventually pull those out like it should be cool. Yeah,
so that's great news.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
Well, the svbrs will be flying off the walls then.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
In suppressors and suppressors, so that is.
Speaker 5 (06:52):
I'm not a big suppressor fan, but yeah, I see
that happening, but I'll definitely be trading in a couple
of rifles and gett an SBR.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Oh yeah, why wouldn't you, I mean, why wouldn't you
now with that, I mean two hundred dollars if you
were getting an SBR and a suppressor, I mean you
were tying up four hundred dollars just in you know,
the process or the paperwork and stuff. So now that
is so much much good news. Finally coming down the road, guys,
we're gonna jump to a quick break because on the
other side, we're going to talk about some of the
(07:18):
openings and monologues we've had over the years, some of
the ones that still are very fitting and that we'll
hear today that we could have played it for the
first time today and you would say, yep, that's still fitting,
but it's five years ago. So let's jump to a break.
When we come back, we'll start teeing those up. We're
on Target Broadcasting Life from the studios of LAPD Firearms Arranged.
We'll be back after the break. Hopefall give you a
(07:41):
dollar if you know who sings this Elton John No.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
No, we're close. His first name is a great name,
Elvis Eddie Money.
Speaker 2 (07:52):
There you go, big Ed Eddie Money.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Money Eddie. He's a former police officer.
Speaker 1 (07:57):
Yeah. I didn't even have to prime me on that way.
I'm impressed, guys. Welcome back on Targot. I'm just Eric
joined today in the LPD studios. I got big Ed
to my right and Paul Paul is here to my left. Guys,
we said at the beginning, but it's worth repeating that
we're going to go through some of the old openings
and monologues today, not to dwell on them, but really
to bring awareness and appreciation to following what we have
(08:17):
to celebrate for on this fourth of July, and to
make sure we don't forget some of the things that
have occurred over the years.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Are still dwelling, did.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
I and I tell you we're on a very tight
time frame here, Edward, we're dwelling. So for the first
one today, we're going to take you back to November
of twenty twenty. November of twenty twenty, COVID was in
full force and the riots were still fresh in our mind.
Law and orders seem to have slipped away in the
verbal and physical at tax on law enforcement were still rampant.
(08:47):
This monologue highlighted the DeVante Walker case, where a true
thug not legally able to possess a firearm, left a
gun laying around for a child to find. The anti
gun established at the time use the case to demand
stricter gun laws, but would more laws have prevented this
thug felon from not locking up his gun. Listen close
(09:10):
to some of the points that were made in the case.
We're still arguing about the same exact things five years later.
What made me think about this case was over the
last few weeks, we've been doing many stories on how
to lock up your firearms and the importance of that.
And we won't waiver on how important that is, but
we're saying lock them up for a little bit of
(09:30):
a different reason than some of the people out there.
Listen to old DeVante in what we called responsibility gohad
El today, well, today you may not hear some things
that are politically correct by today's standards, but they need
to be said. Yeah, we'll get to the gun of
the week. We are definitely going to address the ATF
(09:51):
and the concern over arm braces. But two things happened
this week and Columbus that really, well, it really ticked
me off. The first was the child, a twenty three
month old child that grabbed an unsecured firearm from his
thug dad and shot himself twenty three months old. The
thug criminal felon that is his father, Demonte Walker, has
(10:13):
previous charges of felony, drug abuse, attempted murder times three,
felonius saw it, weapons under disability, improper handling of firearms,
and four additional charges of having a firearm while a felon,
all since twenty fourteen. Why don't we go back and
ask the judges and prosecutors why this worthless piece of
crap is even out of jail. That's a whole other story.
(10:35):
He was rightfully arrested and charged with child endangerment, but
you watch follow the case, he will more than likely
get reduced or even thrown out if pass indicators prevail.
This is the perfect example, the textbook case to illustrate
that one of the proposals that is always put to
the top of the platform by the anti gun groups
such as Mom's Demand Action and other Bloomberg organizations, to
(10:59):
make it law to lock firearms while in your homes
will do absolutely nothing to protect children from low life parents.
You see, what these anti gun groups fail to understand
is that responsible gun owners already secure their firearms were
not in their possession. Having a law to make it
mandatory will not make the slightest of impact for those
(11:20):
that we need to influence most. Demante was a convicted
felon prohibited from owning firearms multiple times over out of
jail on bond for robbery. But Tomntey will surely obey
the law to lock up his illegal gun. Seriously, what
the heck is wrong with these people? I'm sick of it.
Speaking of being sick of it, yesterday in Columbus is
(11:41):
reported that a driver delivering meals on wheels was robbed
at gunpoint. Oh, maybe they just needed food. Nope, they
wanted his money phone in his car and guess what.
Guess what. It was reported that the victim was a
retired police officer with a CCW and he had a
firearm and shot and wounded the thug with the gun,
(12:02):
the fourteen year old thug with the gun who was
robbing him, The fourteen year old that was arrested in
July for felony theft of a vehicle, the fourteen year
old who was arrested in July for two counts of
felony robbery and kidnapping. I'm sick and damn tired of
this being the fault of good people in society. Sick
and tired of the fine men and women in law
(12:23):
enforcement being blamed for the lack of responsibility in these communities.
Have you once heard in the past ten months, I
challenge you to prove me wrong. Have you once heard
one of these leaders in these communities that this spans
all colors, races, and religions, These communities responsible for seventy
five percent or more of crime in the city, seventy
(12:44):
five percent or more of murders in our cities. Have
you ever, once ever once heard them say, we need
to take responsibility for the type of people we are raising,
For the lack of morals we are failing to instill
in our children, for the lack of respect for law
and order of others. We need to do a better
job at teaching our children not to rob people a
(13:05):
gunpoint when they're fourteen years old. I'm sick of it.
It is not my problem that you can't teach respecting
morals in your household. It is not my problem that
is okay for you to witness a crime in your
community but say nothing when the police arrived. It is
not my problem that teenagers shoot and kill each other
like they're in a darn video game in your neighborhoods
(13:26):
destroying our city for the ninety nine percent of good people.
If I ever caught my son committing crime, doing drugs, or,
for God's sake, robbing someone at fourteen years old, he
better hope the police kept him before me. But that's
not how it works in these communities. Stand up and
take responsibility for your actions. Teach your kids to give
(13:48):
them an opportunity to do better than you. That's what
I did. How do you demand that I respect you
when you don't even respect yourself. I'm sick of it,
and people need to start standing up and calling bs.
Fixing your community starts in your community period. I heard
on the news this morning when I was walking out
the door some mother being interviewed about her son dying.
(14:11):
I'm not even sure the circumstances, but it involved plice
and when I walked by, I heard her say, if
the police were only better trained, my son would be alive. BS.
Funny because so often I could say the same thing
of parents and leaders in these cases. The total dismantling
of society the past ten months is not a police problem.
It's a society problem. Maybe just maybe we need to
(14:34):
stand up and demand reimagining of how people act, reimagining
at how they raise their children, how they disrespect each other,
how they should obey laws, and just maybe we can
take back our streets and take back this country line
from LDPD. Well, that sounds like it could have been
(14:54):
pertinent from yesterday. How many shootings do we have yesterday
of the thug teens?
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (15:01):
Yeah, five years later, we're still talking about it.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
But you know, and there are some changes there that
I noticed when you were speaking the armbrace.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Yes, I saw it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there is there
is some good things on that. But it's just, guys,
it's just so frustrating because you know, the anti gun
and then we ran into this last week and we
got to lock up the guns to save the children.
Oh yeah, to save them from stealing from the cars
and stuff. You know, but it's just frustrating, guys. The
(15:29):
next one up is uh you know, as in twenty twenty,
as the Woke Summer evolved into the Woke Winner, this one,
uh man, this one really got to me and I
actually had to go back several times and verify it
to be true because it was so outrageous. So taking
the back twenty twenty, all these companies are going woke,
(15:51):
and unfortunately the NFL was at the top of the list.
And for me personally, I will never say to go
out there and don't frequent a business or an entity,
or don't watch a certain program because of their beliefs.
But I'll tell you what, going to and watching NFL
games has never been the same since this incident and stuff.
(16:11):
So let's go ahead and play this when we call
this one. The Honorable Dshawn Reid in the NFL Three's
John Reid. By all accounts, this guy, well, he was
a thug, a criminal, and honestly a menace to society.
What brought him into the national spotlight was his interaction
with Indianapolis police Deputy Chief Adams. On May sixth this year,
(16:35):
while in an unmarked vehicle, the Deputy Chief spotted a
gray toy Dea Crolla driving recklessly on I sixty five.
Mister Reid's actions on that day included disobeying all traffic
signals and while traveling at an excessive speed, almost slamming
into other vehicles. Deputy Chief Adams attempted to stop Reid
(16:56):
and radioed for assistance. Chief Taylor just happened to be
behind Deputy Chief Adams at that time and pursued the
suspect vehicle as well. As speeds reached nearly ninety miles
per hour, marked patrol cars took over pursuing mister Reed. Meanwhile,
mister Reid, having removed his shirt, did like most other
(17:19):
upstanding citizens would have done while running from authorities. He
began to stream the event live on Facebook under the
title high speed Chase. Lol. You gotta look, he told
viewers watching the chase play out in real time. It's
just one right now, and seconds later he yells out,
(17:39):
almost lost him. Y'all, I gotta get rid of this.
You can fill in the blank. The chase was terminated
moments later because it became too dangerous. Mister Reed was
heard yelling I'm not going to jail today about that
same time. Short time later, though, another Indianapolis police officer
spotted Reed driving on sixty second Street. For those watching live,
(18:04):
Reid was yelling, I'm gonna park this blank. Someone come
get my stupid blank. I'm at sixty seven in Michigan,
Please come get me. Captured on several neighborhood cameras jumping
out of the car with a shirt in one hand
and possibly two cell phones in the other hand and
a glock pistol tucked in his waistband, the officer, now
(18:26):
chasing on foot, soon caught up with Red and a
confrontation ensued, and at some point the officer deployed his taser.
On this still rolling live stream, the officer can be
heard yelling stop, stop, and Read responds to him with
a blank you. Reid, who now has reported sixteen thousand
(18:49):
people watching this trash, shoots a reported two rounds at
the officer. The officer returned fire the phone, with the
live feed falling to the ground and now pointing up
to the sky. Officers approached and removed the gun from
Reid's hand. At this point so emergency technicians could work
on him. He died at the scene. Reid's family and
(19:12):
attorney denied any wrongdoing by their beloved son, and actually
filed a lawsuit against Indianapolis PD for, amongst other things,
a lack of training. Indiana State Police recovered the phone
used that day and determined that prior to any of
these events, mister Reid was involved in at least two
(19:32):
drive by shootings prior to live streaming. Cartridge is recovered
in those two drive by shootings matched the gun fired
at police that day. The gun, a glock that had
been stolen from a Texas pawn shop and had a
serial number scratched off, was recovered from the scene lying
beside Reid. If you do not recognize Dejon Reid for
(19:54):
what he was, a thug, a criminal, a menace to society,
then frankly, frank, you're part of the problem. But wait,
there's more. This week, the NFL, the National Football League,
put out this tweet and I quote say his name,
(20:14):
Djon Reid. D Jon is one of many individuals being
honored by players and coaches this season through the NFL
Helmet Decal Program. Captain below his picture states he deserves justice.
Indianapolis Colt linebacker Matthew Adams has committed to wearing Reid's
name on his helmet. When are you gonna say enough
(20:38):
is enough? When are you gonna stand up and say
hell no, I'm never watching another NFL game again? To
they stop this? Bs? When are you gonna take a
stance and not let this country slip away? This is
not who we are, and our legacy as a generation
is that we will have been the ones credited with
losing the moral compass of a great nation. I still can't.
(21:04):
I still have the tweet.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Yeah, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
I still have the tweet where the NFL honored honored
this thug who was done wrong?
Speaker 4 (21:12):
How did the laws because I didn't, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
I did not go back and follow up. Now, I
will say on the one we heard before this, the
thug who his son got ahold of the gun and
he was on probation before and all this, he did
get jail time, he did get long. It was like
three years. So, I mean, it finally caught up to
him on that and stuff. But it's just I don't know.
I mean, it's just to see, you know, companies and businesses.
(21:37):
We always said, you see their true character in the
tough times, and in twenty twenty, we saw the true
character of the NFL during those times where where law
enforcement was I didn't hear that.
Speaker 5 (21:50):
The NFL one when it took place, and I don't recall.
I don't know if I was not on the show
that was when I retired, right, probably having fun?
Speaker 1 (22:01):
Oh probably, So, yeah, you're not paying attention out there
watching the NFL games media, Yes, but.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
You're probably watching the football game.
Speaker 1 (22:09):
No, I was.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
I know I was against watching the NFL because of
all of the other bs that they were supporting, like
the kneeling.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
And they're like, yeah, I mean I went sour on
then went because of Kaepernick and oh yeah taking the
knee and they didn't have the spine to do anything
about it.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
Yeah, and in this case too, guys. Let's jump to
the news at the bottom and we come back. We've
got a couple of other ones, and you know what,
it's not always Wi Downer's ad. I mean that all
these monologues weren't always something to get you mad. The
next one we come back will kind of make you laugh.
I'll give you a little hint on Target was the target,
and it's a good one to listen to. We're on
talking about broadcasting life from the studios of LPD Farms Arranged.
(22:49):
We'll be back after the break. Welcome back to Target.
I'm your host, Eric, joined today in the LPD studios.
Big Ed to my right, Popball to my left. On
this festive holiday weekend, a nice studio audience here. What
more can we ask for? Look at that you know,
they sure show big. I mean that's two people making
(23:12):
all that nois is really impressive. So guys, we're talking
about some of the past monologues of what was going
on on the day. This next one up is one
of my favorites because it just makes me laugh. It
happened in July of twenty twenty three, and we called
it on Target was the Target, and well let it
play out and hear it for yourself. Go ahead, Hell,
you're dwelling well this week, on Target became the target.
(23:37):
The story I'm about to tell you is told for
two reasons. One to illustrate the absolute ignorance of many
people who are left leaning, gun hating people who use
the cover of free press to spread falsehoods relentlessly attempting
to be wokeness to influence the right to bear arms,
and two our willingness to fight for those who's nonsense
(24:01):
who spread hoods ultimately let them reveal their true character
to all. The right of free speech, even when untrue,
is a sacred right grained to us by the Constitution,
just like the right to bear arms. But what separates
us from them is that we continue to fight to
give them the right to review their ignorance and hate,
(24:21):
relying on the intellect of the American people to pass judgment.
But I assure you they would never fight for our rights.
So this week, when someone allured me to the fact
that the far left of left publications the Columbus Free
Press appropriately titled because I can't imagine anyone paying for it,
the Columbus Free Press decided to write a targeted hit
(24:43):
piece on LPD. In this show well kind of the
righting itself left a lot to be desired outside of
the fact that they accused us basically of supplying firearms
to the criminal element in central Ohio. The article was
itself juvenile in nature, almost laughable, written more likely by
someone with little to no experience in writing but by
(25:04):
godly their voice was going to be heard. I'm okay
with some structured criticism, but it was that bad. Grammatically
and substquately, local gun store sales put innocent targets, innocent
citizens on target. That was the title. A poorly superimposed
(25:24):
LPD logo sitting above a recent crime scene topped the article.
It started by conceding that most of the crime in
Columbus is done by an extremely small percentage of the population,
but no one knows where they get their firearms, specifically
the white man's guns they referenced. Whatever the heck that means.
Obviously they've never listened to the show, because they would
(25:46):
certainly know how to stop the proliferation of these guns
to the thugs. But I digress. The next line made
me chuckle because it's kind of true. The ownership of
LPD is in love with their own celebrity. Not quite true,
but I do admittedly enjoy spreading facts and dispelling falsehoods
in our industry. That is what drives me to be
(26:06):
so visible in this market. The next line accuses LPD
of selling mass shooters rifles typically stocked on Aisle three
at LPD, along with everything else you need to have
to be a mass shooter today. Ask any of our
former police officers who work the sales counter for assistance
if needed. The next line in the article, well, I
kind of appreciated. LPD is prominent on social media, but
(26:30):
their greatest reach locally is on Target, a weekly Saturday
noon AM show hosted by the Bethel Roads Store. Their
AM channel is the trump called six' TEN, wtvn which
unfortunately is one of the most popular radio stations in
and outside Of Central. Ohio couldn't have written that promo better,
Myself thanks. Guys the article goes on to talk about
(26:53):
our influence on juveniles or young people in the community
and how our glorification of firearms has caused this surge and.
Crime they specifically referred to the recent shooting of A
columbus officer ON i seventy and ask the rhetorical question
of what in heaven the mother or the shooter must
be wondering regarding what her son was getting. INTO i
(27:15):
would like to officially correct something at this, point because
IF i had to, guess the shooter is not looking
down upon Old mama to give her, answers just. Saying
the next line must have just been made up because
it holds very few. Truths according To channel Ten, news
(27:35):
the three tried it was two if you've actually watched the,
story the three tried getting on laped's firing range for
target practice two weeks. Prior it was two months. Prior
but that was forty five seconds into the. Story AND
i understand how hard it is to pay attention sometimes
they go. On The channel ten, story, however is not
(27:56):
entirely clear on what exactly happened that. Day the story
just that they were able to get on the. Range
the story clearly states they never made it to the.
Range they were able to get on the, range which
would be illegal for the nineteen and twenty year. Old,
hmmm not, true but don't let the fact in your.
Way but they soon removed BY lpd for breaking. Protocols
(28:19):
underage people still use fake. IDs but The free press
is awaiting further explanation FROM. Lpd but The free press
is awaiting FURTHER. X they never, called they never, wrote
they never sent a message to us. Whatsoever so go
ahead and keep, waiting my. Friends the, piece oh it
is a, piece all, right goes on to SAY lpd
(28:41):
is the goddiest and loudest local promoter of. Firearms the
BIGGEST pusha of the gun car culture now that IS.
Pusha for those who Are english speaking in the, audience.
Pusha you get the. Picture the last line sums it.
Up and those who get their jollies from shooting a
(29:02):
fifty caliber machine gun in the. Woods i've actually never
shot fifty BUT i wouldn't mind trying it. Sometimes, unfortunately
the city can't FORCE lpd to get a. Clue, hey
we're not in the city, limits by the. Way they
can't force them to get a clue and to go
back to the woods from whence they. Came it doesn't
make sense in a community racked with fear of guns
(29:24):
to have a store such AS lapd in the heart
of the. Community the in thank, goodness as the writers
put on their masks and slowly returned to their mother's,
basement we decided to add a little color to Their facebook. Posts,
professional sincere and respectful as, ALWAYS i encouraged them to
(29:44):
do an exclusive interview with us call me, anytime even
inviting them on this show to express their views to
an audience many times greater than their own. Distribution of,
course they, screamed they threw in saw, its and they
cried out that it would be just too, dangerous because
our listeners are dangerous. PEOPLE i highlighted what happened this
(30:06):
week to show the ignorance and unwillingness to have genuine
dialect with many of these people that scream the loudice
in our. Community they throw, stones but they quickly retreat when,
confronted and their loud voices have no. Substance YET i
have fought for their. Freedoms how. Ironic our views are never,
(30:27):
absolute and we encourage dialogue to try and fix our broken,
community but means also recognize that there are many who
do not want, resolution and we must be absolute in
our fight to do what is right, regardless to fight
for the, truth and to persevere beyond the distractions such
as these. Guys if we give up, now future generations
(30:48):
will never know a Safe. Columbus the sounds of gunshots
and crime will be the norm as it is. Today
the fight for a safe community is not, over but
it takes all of. Us read the post on Our
facebook page and judge for. Yourself be as vocal as they,
are be as passionate as, them but with the truth
(31:09):
and we will win this.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
BATTLE i think the article was really good for. US
i mean they really you, know it was promoted the
show they actually.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Did, yeah you, know for the three people that get
The Clumbust Free press OR i don't even know how
you get, it but it's out of print there you
can wonder. Why, well, yeah.
Speaker 4 (31:32):
But it means them to contact.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Us, yeah but it epitomizes, it truly epitomizes the left leaning.
Argument it's it's throw the stones and then hide back
in your basement and get up and throw the. STONE i,
mean with no substance.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Whatsoever, well you know how many times did we invite
the mayor the city attorney to come on and just
have a nice.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Discussion, absolutely, yeah, absolutely. Guys let's do a quick break
and we come back on the OTHER i think we
got one. Left this one actually helped keep this top
of the story In, columbus and it was one to
show just how stupid the leadership is in some of
these positions here within our own. City so when we come,
(32:14):
back we'll go to that one we're on talking about
broadcasting life from the studios OF Lpd fararms And. Range
we'll be back after the, Break welcome back On. Target
i'm your, Host eric joined today in THE lpd. STUDIOS
i Got pop out to my, LEFT i Got Big
edd to my, right going through some of the past
monologues on what was going on at the. Time this
next one, up, guys this one we a friend of
ours broke the, Story, spencer who's been on our show.
Before THE cpd officer broke the story back In december
(32:38):
of twenty twenty, three and it truly highlights the ignorance
of The Columbus Civilian Review. Board And i'm not to
say that law enforcement shouldn't be held responsible for their,
actions of course they should, be but the things that
got put into, place and this specific story highlights the
ineptness of a lot of what they do. There so
(33:00):
let's go ahead and play. One we call. It he was. White,
hey hey, man what's your? Name the officer's voice could
be heard coming across the passenger side window as he
was driving on the hilltop In columbus on this hot
ninety degree day in Late. July, hey, buddy DO i know?
You he, asked as he continued to, drive the focus
(33:23):
on a juvenile continuing to walk alongside the road in
a full long sleeve hoodie covering his face. Completely no,
man leave me, alone he replied back to the. Officer
it's been a while since i've seen. You did you
get your? Haircut the officer continued to make small. Talk
minutes before the juvenile had caught the eye of this
(33:43):
twenty one year police veteran whose career had been spent
on The West side on this, hot miserable. Day he
noticed the juvenile totally concealing his identity and nervously looking
back in the officer's direction multiple times as he drove
down the. Street a fashion, statement, maybe or the concealment
(34:03):
of identity could be a clue to a crime having
been or about to be. Committed the consensual conversation continued
until the boy reached his. House turning around at the
end and recording the encounter on his, phone the boy,
yelled stop harassing me as the officer drove. By never
once was the juvenile, detained, stopped or his progress, impeded
(34:27):
as ruled in countless court cases, prior this was simply
a consensual conversation by an officer proactively policing his. Beat
the boy never gave the officer his, name and he
was never required to do so by. Law as the
officer drove a few bucks, away he just couldn't place
how he knew the, juvenile but he knew he had
(34:48):
encountered him. Before the officer parked and began looking through
the database of. Mugshots for those who don't, know most
people are not in the database of. Mugshots it is
rightfully reserved for those who've had interactions with law enforcement
and that have well warranted them getting a mug. SHOT
(35:09):
i myself would not expect to be in the database of,
mugshots but on this hot day In july In, Columbus,
ohio this veteran officer did indeed find a picture of
the sixteen year old he had just spoken to in
the database of. Mugshots the officer quickly remembered his past.
Encounter he had responded to a domestic violence call at
(35:30):
the juvenile's, house but probably what put him in the
mugshots was his affiliation with a vehicle that had been
part of some type of shooting the year. Prior the
officer continued about his, patrol and when he eventually drove
by the juvenile's house, again he simply rolled down his
window and said see you, Later logan as he drove,
by an interaction that happens countless times a day in
(35:53):
this line of. Work good proactive policing in a neighborhood
currently plagued by. Crime good policing except in this upside
down city that our mayor and leaders have created since twenty.
Twenty shortly, Thereafter logan's mother called in a complaint of
harassment against this. Officer the complaint quickly found its way
(36:15):
to the newly formed officer office Of Inspector general within
The city Of. Columbus an investigator was assigned to look
into the officer's. Actions it is important to mention that
the investigator assigned to this newly formed role was not
a tenured officer or anyone who really knew anything about.
Policing while he did have a degree in, criminology and
(36:37):
he did work as an insurance claims a gester for
a year and sold insurance on this, side but on
this day he is the tasked with investigating what happened
with that officer and that. Juvenile soon he placed calls
to the complainant and heard her side of the story
that officer harassed my son all the way home from the,
(36:59):
Store the investigator collected the facts and watched the video From.
Logan an interview with the officer subsequently, occurred and the
officer was, asked why did you initiate an encounter With
logan on that. Day the officer quickly responded that on
that hot summer, day seeing an individual with a long
sleeve hoodie up over his head acting nervous was reason
(37:21):
to initiate a consensual. Conversation based on his twenty one
years of experience patrolling the, hilltop the officer, said these
actions oftentimes are an indicator of something or someone trying
to conceal something from the. Police it did not rise
to the level of detaining the, invisual but a casual
conversation was definitely. Warranted the interview, ended and eventually The
(37:44):
Inspector general concluded these findings on the allegations of. Harassment
The office Of Inspector, general hereby granted authority from The
office of The mayor Of city Of, columbus does find the.
Following the allegations against the officer are sustained as there
is sufficient evidence that the officer harassed the teen while
(38:05):
walking home and failed to treat the teen impartially being
in violation OF cpd. Directives, additionally The office Of Inspector
general ruled that though this was not an allegation levied
From logan's, mom THE oig office found the officer's actions
for initiating an interaction with the teen were biased profiling
(38:28):
directly in violation OF Cpd biased Based policy three point zero. Seven,
therefore a recommendation of sustained be entered into his personnel.
File but if you've grown to know if you listen
to the show often there is much more to this.
Story the uig's office passed these findings on to the
(38:50):
ever popular clown show known as The Civilian Review. Board
remember the ones who went officers to wear body camera's off.
Duty it's these, guys as you can watch for. Yourself
in their, meeting they sustained the complaint of harassment against
the officer and then proceeded for the next sixteen minutes
to try to find a definition of harassment within THE cpd.
(39:11):
Directives guilty of something not even addressed in. Policy, Wow,
no that's, awkward but it gets. Better on the topic
of bias based profiling section three point zho seven in the,
directive the policy reads like. This bas based profiling is, stopping, questioning, searching,
(39:33):
detaining or arresting based solely on the person's, race, sex sexual,
orientation gender identity or, expression, color, religion, ancestry national, origin, age,
disability family or military, status or any other status that
(39:53):
is protected by, federal, state or local. Ordinance this officer
was found guilty of this for his encounter With logan
on that. Day the problem is the problem is that
THE oig report conducted by, novices approved by, idiots and
optimately voted on by the clown. Show the problem is
(40:15):
THE oig report that day began with an assumed statement
of facts that read like. This On july twenty, seventh
twenty twenty, three the complaintant filed a complaint with The
city Of Columbus department Of Inspector general alleging misconduct by
the police. Officer the complainant alleges the incident occurred On
july twenty, sixth when the officer initiated contact with a
(40:37):
minor Male African american contact with a minor Male African
american in The hilltop area following the complaintant home that.
Day read verbatim from the report presented a fact accepted as,
(40:58):
fact except our, juvenile our beloved logan is a white.
Kid never, never, ever let the facts get in the
way of your. Agenda Congratulations columbus on electing your mayor
for another four. Years he has done so much to
destroy the city and we can't wait to see what
(41:20):
he has in store for us to. Come, chuck do
you think that would be a? Question do you Think
i'm just, Saying, okay what's the age of the? Kid,
okay what's the race of the? Kid they go through
an entire weeks of, investigating and they, assumed assumed it
was a black kid and never asked the. Question how
pathetic is? That oh my, goodness how? Pathetic well on
(41:42):
his appeal to be a slam dunk if there is an,
appeal is there an appeal in that? Process ASSUME i
always sue anybody for. Anything it's worth going back and
listening to the conversation after, that Because chuck went off on,
that how, Great how what an? Embarrassment what am? Embarrassment
you guys are gonna go there and you're gonna oversee
(42:03):
the police department and they come out.
Speaker 4 (42:04):
With, This they do exactly what they. Accused The copple
of doing.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
Exactly exactly and and to find him guilty of. Harassment
and you should watch the. Video it's. Comical they're they're
all around there like is there a? Harassment and the
POLICY i don't know what's the harassment? MEAN i don't
know does anyone have a definition of harassment in THE
cpd policy? Manual it was, comical it was it, was
(42:29):
it was so it was. Ridiculous that's and they're still
in it is a classic and a tip of the
hat to our good Friend, spencer who on his uh you,
know YouTube channel and, stuff continues to uncover stuff like
this all the. Time crazy, crazy crazy. GUYS i don't
