Speaker 1 (00:00):
Eleven shopping days until Christmas. Elect kits. I can't believe it.
Eleven shopping days until Christmas. And I have so many
things still here in the store that would make me
smile if it was under the tree. Great stocking stuffers here, flashlights,
gift cards, bourbon glasses, magazines and magazine twenty five percent
off magazines.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
That could go on all day. But we have a
great lineup today.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
News you really are gonna want to hear, and my
buddy Richie calls in about his first impressions of the
Glock Gen six and also maybe a little.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Surprise along the way. All that up next to on Target.
Good afternon Welcome on Target.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
We're broadcasting live from the studios of LAPD Firearms Range
and Training Facility, located at nine nine nine, Triple nine.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
About the road, I'm your host, Eric.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Guys, from what they say, it's gonna start looking like
Christmas out there today.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
That's what right here. Yeah, I gotta get home before
it starts flying out.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I know I don't see anything out there right now,
but uh, fired up the snowblower for the first time,
did you yea?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
That is the rumor on the street, got a lot
to get to today, guys, So let's get started. We
are the owners of LPD Firearms Range and Training Facility
and are active in law enforcement, but for one hour
on Saturdays, we put together a group of firearms experts
to discuss new products in the market, training tips, and
oftentimes political topics surrounding the Second Amendment. Our commitment, though,
has always been to bring you facts about our industry,

(01:22):
help listeners and customers with safe, responsible ownership of firearms.
Joining me today in the LPD studio, JC is sitting
to my left.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
Jac.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
I hate to bring up pet Peeves right off the bat,
but this thing has been at the top of my
mind lately.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
ED.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
You're gonna want to hear this too. I know, I know.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
So the last two weeks, I've worked the streets both days, Ed,
and how often does this come about? It's just a
sign of the times. Both days we were involved in
taking guns off of people on the street. Okay, Now,
I say this because in both the circumstances I was
involved in, the people were under the influence of marijuana,

(02:02):
and I don't know, people just seem to be careless
now walking around with guns thinking they're smoking cigarettes and
they're under the influence of a controlled with substance.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Totally illegal.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
The reason I say this is because and I can't
tie this to it, but we have had a tremendous
uptick in atf traces. I don't know if these people
are just being stupid or what it is, but people
need to get serious. If you're going to be a
gun owner, if you're going to carry a firearm, you
need to do the right thing. If you're out drinking,
you know, you know, if you get caught with a

(02:34):
firearm in your car and you get popped for OVI,
it's a felony, guys, felony. You know, you can go
about your business, you think everything's going good, and now
you've caught a felony for that.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
You need to be smart about it.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
It's getting ridiculous. The amount of traces were coming through.

Speaker 5 (02:48):
Now, Oh it's I mean with a being legal recreation,
I mean people could care less. You started being careless.
They could care less. It's just okay, Yeah, nothing's going
to happen to me. Not realizing what the percussions are
to this. So and and under the influence you could
just take a sip. It doesn't mean that you're drunk,
if you're under the influence, if you blow a point
zero zero zero zero one, you're under the influence of alcohol.

(03:12):
So you know, that's why you just can't, can't take
that risk. You don't know who the officer is gonna be.
Maybe some man guy go hey, he's under the influence,
and here you go. Now you have to fight off
a felony, I know.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
And then in both cases we are involved in one
the gentleman, uh, let's just say he didn't just try
a little marijuana. His car will weak so bad, and
it was such a racking. There's his gun, that's just
you know, and he was just totally absent minded about it,
didn't think twice about it. And the other one, the
guy was under the influence and had it on him.
So it's just crazy, and it's just one of those things.

(03:43):
This week kind of came to a head with all
these traces.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
It's just it's just nuts. Big big Ed sits to
my right.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Ed.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
You know what, you had an excused absence last week,
I did, you're out hunting, but I didn't.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
None of the pictures came through.

Speaker 6 (03:57):
That's because they didn't shoot anything, did it.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
You know we need them around.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Okay, all right, all right, well good, good to have you,
Good to have you back here. And of course, uh
we have Ella back of the station pulling the levers.
She sounds like she's in the Christmas spirit today today.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
She has been. Yeah, so we'll we'll take that up with.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Her hair in a little bit list she is on
from Santa.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
I don't know that might be a discussion for question. Yeah,
so uh, let's see last week.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Guy's great to hear from Mike Ken, a good friend
over at River's Edge Cutlery. Always good to hear from them.
We need to go over there. We need to do
a show from there, so sometimes we do.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah, I need to go over and get one of those.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, yeah, right up my alley.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
It's wonderful.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
There is some really important news to get to and
I hate to get this stuff so heavy this close
to the holidays, but we need to keep paying attention
because there's some stuff that's on the horizon. You know,
we get lulled and these these ebb and flows of
the gun industry and the and the Second Amendment rights,
and right now we're in one of the low periods
where every one is calm. They're not worried about their

(05:03):
guns being taken away. But there's some stuff on the
horizon that we really, really really need to pay attention to,
and we're gonna get to that up shortly with JC.
We have a neat Gun of the Week at twelve twenty,
and then at twelve thirty.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Get this.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
At twelve thirty, my buddy Richie calls in because he
called a couple of weeks ago talking about something that
he saw that is coming out that we're gonna want
to you know, hear about. Well this week he's calling
in to talk about him being able to shoot this
week the new Glock Gen six. So that's gonna be

(05:37):
a conversation. And Ella, if you're listening back there, we
got such a pack show today. If you get anyone call,
just tell them that we're gonna have to wait till
next week, so, you know, as they say, hold hold
our calls this week because it's going to be a busy,
busy show. We'd like to thank our sponsors, us Last Shield,
Great Company. Saw them in here today, Jackson, Egress, Windows,
Black Wing, Shooting Center, Rivers, the Cutlery and of course

(05:59):
see it our l EPD training facility.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
All we make the show possible each week. The show
is podcast out there, so on iTunes, it's really anywhere
the podcast is there.

Speaker 5 (06:10):
Telling me I tried to repeat them all and I
couldn't remember how many.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Yeah, there is there's a time and let alone YouTube
and uh on Facebook as well on yes too on YouTube.
Now we do have a a link out there for
some of the past monologues. People have been asking us that,
so we started uploading those individualists.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
So, JC, I wanted to get to you in the news. Yeah,
what do you have?

Speaker 5 (06:35):
Of course the big news, which I will defer because
I did not know until last night that Richie was
going to be on. But this new the new glock
is uh, you know.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
It's that they it's announced.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Well, it's been now it's it's out there. You can
read all, you can make reviews on it. So but yeah,
it's probably the biggest iteration that they have done with
all the changes, you know. So anyway, Uh, but yeah,
we'll be talking about that later. I'm really looking forward
to it. All right, how like you said, you would
think that hey, Trump's in and we should be more relaxed.
I know people are relaxed on the gun sales. Unfortunately,

(07:07):
it's like, hey, don't have anything to worry about. You
have something to worry about. I mean, these the Democrats
have become so vicious. I mean they're vicious and they
want to disarm you anyway they can. And they're taking
a look at this is one of the stories I have.
But you know, we won the big thing against Mexico
supporting the plaquet where they're going, okay, well that was
with the manufacturers, but there's the dealers. Now we need

(07:30):
to go after the dealers. We take them away, Well,
then we don't have anything to worry about either. So anyway,
this is disturbing because the Trump administration has been supporting.
They filed an amicus breeze in support of the ATF
and the Gun Owners of America, which is one of
the two biggest gun groups out there, one of the

(07:50):
top three anyway, against the ATF because they want to
disband the the NFA. They don't think that that's an
exist anymore. They've already reduced the amount for buying a
suppressor or a short build rifle. You still have to
go through the paperwork, but there's no fee anymore. And
so they are been in a rule to try to

(08:13):
to get rid of that NFA and just a regular
background checks as being But it's it's you know, it's
bad news when the coalition of gun control groups are
backing the Trump administration.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Uh so this.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
Is the underbelly of the snake, is what the Democrats
have become here. So every time for gun safety, the
Givers Law Center and the Brady Center to Prevent Gun
Violence all joined in the amblicus brief from the Department
of Justice in support, you know, of keeping the national
of the NFA. So what is all this about. Well,

(08:51):
matter of fact, they've actually mirrored what they said. So
here is what they are pushing for, and it's not
good news. They just this is what the gun control
groups said. They're in their in their amicrans brief that
the NFA as a whole still raises revenue even though.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
There's they reduced it.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
To zero for NFA items that you would buy like
a suppressor, short World rifle, short you know, short world shotgun,
that's zero, But manufacturers still pay taxes. They still get
revenue from the manufacturers of these items.

Speaker 3 (09:23):
But here's what they say.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
Yeah, but Congress left the tax structure in place. That
was the big thing. They did not alter it. They
reduced it to zero, but they left the tax structure
in place. And they said, so, you know, Congress, you know,
may require record keeping and also making adjustments for these
items in the future. And they said, thus the registration

(09:46):
provisions are legitimate regulatory measures and aid in the revenue purpose.
Right now, they're not getting any money, but I think
you can tell where this is going. But they're looking
towards the future when they get back in power of Congress.
And they said, hey, you know, the Supreme Court has
never require that every component of a tax scheme generate revenue.

(10:08):
To the contrary, it's always deferred that to Congress as
to whether the tax should be and it said, nor
does a tax cease to be valid merely because it regulates,
discourages and definitely deters the taxed activities. So they're waiting

(10:30):
to get in. And you know, they've already called for
what two hundred dollars in a tax deaf it should
be fifty two hundred dollars. I mean, they've already been
screaming for this. So now they have supported that, so
and they you know, this to summed up by saying
when Congress and acted the National Firearms Act and the
President signed it into a congress determinate silencer, short build rifles,
short world shotguns, and machine guns represented especially dangerous weapons

(10:52):
that pose a threat. They're easily conceivable and lethal. Therefore,
we need to be able to it's crazy attack them.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
So we left it in place. And that was a
big thing we talked about. Wow, Gee talked for a
second about this.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
This Marianne Meetchim, Mary Anne Leechim, Meetchim ch is that
her name.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Oh, oh, that's the ATF. Yeah, the ATF.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
Yeah, the a well, not a trader because back when
Biden was there, she was probably a star. But she's
left the ATF and Meecham has now joined as an
advisor to do Bloomberg's Every Town for Gun Safety, otherwise
known as every time to take every gun that you
have so never get them back. So she has said, oh,

(11:32):
this is much much, much to lax. We really need
to have more stringent controls over our FFLs, including the
need to initiate twenty four hour surveillance or accessibility. Pardon me,
I said, surveillance, accessibility to all their records. And you
know what, that would cost to have a little mom

(11:53):
pop store. I have to have internet access twenty four
hours a day. They want them to go through more
frequent checks and regulations. She really is pushing for legislation,
and of course they're going to go to the Blue
States first and they're going to try to get these
things enacted to go after the FFLs. And that is

(12:15):
her goal, and that's that's every time's goal in Bloomberger's.

Speaker 1 (12:20):
And the thing that struck me with this lady, she was,
I think a director within the ATF under the Biden administration.
I heard her name from some friends within ATF who said,
this is the real problem. And you talk about proof
of the bias that was that had occurred under them.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I mean, we screamed for.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Four years of this biasness against the stores and everything else,
and here's proof. I mean, the lady goes from being
an ATF director to being an executive at every town
blaming the stores for the problems in the street. And
she was running a lot of this show with the ATF.
I mean, it just goes to show you it's the
proof behind it all.

Speaker 5 (13:01):
If they can't bite the manufacturers, which has kind of
been turned down for the PLACA. So now let's go
after the stores and the.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Fam It just goes to show you the type of
people they had running it there. We needed people who
are law and order people and not political people. And
DC we got about a minute twenty you got to
maybe the JP.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
Morgan, we had the JP. But this is a big one.
This is a big one. So this we'll see what
this will go.

Speaker 5 (13:26):
The Department of Justice, they've established a Second Amendment section
for the Department of Justice and it's in the Civil
Rights Division. And now they're saying that the protections of
the Second Amendment should provide be protected. Are only the
people protected, are only law abiding American citizens. So if

(13:47):
they're the only ones who have the right to keep
in bare arms, which I think it should be, it
could make a big change. So apparently that is they're
setting a limit on those. So they just officially updated
the Civil Rights Division web page, matter of fact, just
officially this week to include a new section dedicated to
the Second Amendment, and their mission statement seemingly is weighed
in on who is and who isn't the people of

(14:08):
the United States who do have the right to keep
in bare arms, and they said in their website. The second, fourth,
and fourteenth Amendments and the Police Pattern or Practice Act,
I'm not familiar with that, and the fourteen to two
six protecting Second Amendment rights. They secure the natural firearm
rights of law ball abiding American citizens and ensure that

(14:30):
such rights to keep in bare arms shall not be infringed.
But the mission of the Second Amendment is to ensure
that law abiding American citizens may responsibly possess and carry firearms.
And as you know right now, anyone in a green card,
and we have a lot of we're exposed because we
have a big state university right next to us. We
have a lot of foreigners come in, have a green card.
I'm going to get a hunting license. Now, i want

(14:52):
to block seventeen. And you're like, yeah, what you know.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
Right, And that's the loophole that we have said forever.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
They can come in and legally buy a gun if
they have a hunting license. Doesn't stipulate that the gun
has to be one that you can hunt with. So
they'll come in with a hunting license and attempt to
buy anything, any pistol in the case. That's why we
don't do it. I mean it's a loophole that that
shouldn't be there.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
So basically, if people are not citizens in the United States,
technically they are not protected by the Second Amendment. So
you can imagine where this can lead, right with the
mows of people that have come across the border.

Speaker 1 (15:27):
Found with gun JC, let's jump to a break on
the other side, We're going to talk about a Gun
of the Week and much much more. Wrong Target broadcasting
live from the studios of LPD Farms Arranged.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
We'll be back after the break. Welcome back to on Target.
I'm your historic joined today in the LAPD studio.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
I got big ed, I got JC Popaul just left
the premise.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
We got Ella.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
You know what more could we want, Jac, other than
a great gun of the week that we are going
to get to here shortly and you still good?

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Ella? I actually.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
I know that you said earlier that you don't have
time for phone calls today.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
You just haven't called back next week or something. What
can you just have him call back next week.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Or something or he's busy next week? Okay, we'll have
an hour show. I mean, it's well, let's quit arguing
about it and just talk to him real quick. Okay,
who who is Who is it? I'll just put him
on for you, all right, Okay, Hi, you're on with
on target to Eric?

Speaker 4 (16:32):
How are you?

Speaker 2 (16:34):
It is that good? Ella? You didn't tell me it
was him, the big guy.

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Everybody there.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
Were great. You kind of caught us off guard here.
I wasn't expecting to hear from you this year.

Speaker 4 (16:49):
Well, I've been pretty busy and I had to take
time to call you, and so hello and wish everybody
I Merry Christmas.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
Wow, it is so good to hear from Santa. There's
how it's been a year. So much has gone on.
I mean this last year. I mean, look at the
changing political landscape. So much has happened. I mean you
look at this past year, JC and Santa. I mean
Kamala lost presidency, Nancy Pelosi and her political career, sitting congresswoman,

(17:18):
she might be ousted because marrying her own brother, Santa,
I mean, have you been keeping up on all this?

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Oh? Nancy had to give up her politics because the
doctor Toner was either give up the politics or give
up the booze.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
Well that's good, h it's good.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
It's always interesting, Santa, that you have the time to
keep up on the political side of things, although we
probably shouldn't talk politics of Santa jac.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
We shouldn't, but due to their their actions, that should
lighten your sleigh a little bit because these people are
definitely on the naughty list.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
So so that.

Speaker 4 (17:58):
I see all and know all.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
Yeah, that is true, true, and kind of to that.
It was funny you call now Santa because Papa had
just mentioned when he was here today he was a
little concerned if there was still enough time to switch
him on the list.

Speaker 2 (18:15):
I don't know, what are you thinking about that?

Speaker 7 (18:16):
We have a.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
Middle middle grown naughty list and then we have thet
and he's moved up to the middle groun.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Okay, so.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
This year, anyone on like the true naughty list that
we can kind of give a heads up to and
let them know they're on the bubble.

Speaker 4 (18:37):
Here Nancy Ella, Hell.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Waitit wait, Ella is on the naughty list.

Speaker 5 (18:51):
Ella, He's right, don't argue with him.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
Well, with an attitude like that, I'm starting to see why.

Speaker 4 (19:00):
Yeah, But Eric, I gotta tell you, I hope you
have a good Christmas and you've got some nice toys
coming your way.

Speaker 2 (19:11):
Good. I was, I was a little worried Santa jac
and I were a little word. Is is j C
still looking pretty good?

Speaker 4 (19:17):
Yeah? Jersey's got a lot of new markers.

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Yah good, I need those run and drive?

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Yes, yeah, Santa, what what's uh? What's the popular toys
being asked for this year?

Speaker 4 (19:29):
Well? I don't I can't give you a good list
of that because there's so many of them, but I
know legos are real big on the kids list and
on the adults list. The new firearm you have sitting
on the table out there, Oh my goodness, there's so
many people wanting those.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
Ah, the Marlin forty five seventy Yeah, I heard about that.
Are you seeing anyone asking for the new glocks?

Speaker 4 (19:54):
Oh? Jen six? Definitely?

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
Your bunches are so pop I've done. The little obs
are just working so hard they can't keep up.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Wow, Santa you it's amazing to me how much you
keep up on all the latest stuff.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
And I heard too, I heard you're a new grandfather.

Speaker 4 (20:16):
One of my obs. Do not have a little baby girl?
We got her name's Anderson and she is just so cute.

Speaker 5 (20:24):
Wow, she'll probably have fun in the workshop up there. Yeah,
lots of baby toys. Yeah, you're gonna have to retire.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
Although there was and I hate to put you on
the spot, Santa, but you know, I have to ask.
There was a little rumor going around that the reindeer
were a little mad about you going deer hunting last week.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
Well that's why we didn't take any dose. Okay, you're
looking for the books.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Okay, came around, Okay, good, good.

Speaker 1 (20:54):
And I always like to ask, you know, certainly everyone
wants to leave a treat for you and stuff.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
Yeah, you're still on the Bourbon kick.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Oh, of course, of course, we're definitely gonna have our
hot caddy with a little bourbon in it.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Yeah, absolutely, there were there were there were rumors that
people saw you on the Bourbon trail in September.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
I don't know if it was true or not.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Incognito maybe guys.

Speaker 2 (21:21):
Well, Santa, it is.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
I I'm just overwhelmed that you had the chance to
call in today the busy schedule. Hello, I'm so glad
you you kind of forced us to take it here
and so good to talk to you.

Speaker 4 (21:33):
Oh, very welcome. Everybody, have a merry Christmas and let's
spread some love.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
All right. Sounds good? That is Santa, that the sand
I can't. That is a pleasant surprise. That just upped it.
I don't know how Richie's gonna follow that, you know,
that's that's that's pretty big.

Speaker 5 (21:51):
I wonder where those gloss are being made, but they're
really But let's have a shop up there.

Speaker 2 (21:55):
Yes, that's right. That's right, guys. Let's jump to a break.

Speaker 1 (21:58):
On the other side, we're going to get to my
buddy Richie talking about that new block Gen six.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
We I'll talk a broadcasting live from.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
The studios of l EPD Firearms and arrange. We'll be

Eric joined today in the l e p D studios.
I got JC to my left, Edward to my right. Hello,

Speaker 3 (22:20):
I missed the big guy. Again.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
We put in a good word for you, I hope
so yeah. But yeah.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
I also stepped outside and the snow was falling. Wow,
it's coming down, So get ready, everybody run to croggers.

Speaker 2 (22:33):
Yes, I run the l e p D.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
Yeah, there you go. L e p D doesn't have

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Good people need lead copper. Guys, Ella, do we have
our next guest?

Speaker 3 (22:47):
On Ella.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Yep, here we are, okay, our next miss. Yeah, I'm
a little bit concerned for Ella.

Speaker 6 (22:56):
Actually, yeah, naughty list.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
So.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
I know, I know.

Speaker 1 (23:04):
And the thing is, people on the Naughty List are
trying to get off the Naughty List.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
I don't think she had any intentions of getting off
the Naughty list. Maybe doing the deep dive, who knows.
I know my whole life to get on there. I
finally made it, guys. We have talked about it.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
We actually teased it two weeks ago when my buddy
Richie called in and talked about some new gun that
was coming out, and we had no idea what it was.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
No.

Speaker 1 (23:30):
But now we invited him back on because now my
buddy Richie not only can talk about it, apparently he
has shot this new gun.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
So we welcome back to the show, my buddy.

Speaker 5 (23:42):
Rich Everyone, Marry Christmas.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
Richie, you're following Santa here, so I don't know, there's
no pressure.

Speaker 7 (23:53):
Well, you know, the one thing he didn't ask him
is whether or not I was on the Naughty List.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Well, he kind of caught me off guard, so I
wasn't prepared.

Speaker 6 (24:03):
I heard I heard from the big guy himself. You're
always on the Naughty List like.

Speaker 7 (24:07):
El Nah, mission accomplished.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
So, Richie, a couple of weeks ago, you jumped on
with us. You teased us about something that was coming out.
You couldn't say what it was. You said it was
going to change the industry, and lo and behold, just
as predicted. On December eighth, somebody announced a new version
of a gun that's been around for a long time.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Tell us about it.

Speaker 7 (24:33):
Well, actually it was I think it was a day
before or two days before December eighth, because there is
certain people that seem to want to violate the NDA,
and was all over the internet that there was the
Glock sixth or Generation sixth being released. So Glock decided
to let the cat out of the bag and release

(24:53):
it and admit the fact that this they do have
a new generation coming out, And was the Gen six
in which I talked about a couple of weeks ago.

Speaker 4 (25:04):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Wow, And so not only did you talk about it,
but you have since now been able to shoot it.

Speaker 7 (25:10):
Yes, I shot the seventeen, not the forty seven, the seventeen,
the nineteen and the forty five. And I will say
that you know that I have to find room in
my safe to add at least one of those three models.
I'm leaning towards the forty five.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
There you go, wait model Haberler. Remember we're dealing with clockcare.
The clock forty five isn't a forty five, it's no.

Speaker 7 (25:41):
It is the forty fifth drawing of the original block design.
That's how block comes up with these weird numbers. So
when they originally released the forty five the default, everyone said, oh,
it's a forty five AZP. No, it was the forty
fifth release of a drawing or a design of the
original block seventeen.

Speaker 3 (26:03):
So what is so special about the Gen six?

Speaker 7 (26:06):
Well, as I had quietly or secretly released the other week,
they have done a substantial amount of upgrades modifications with
the gun. A lot of it is cosmetic, and which
is what the industry has been crying about for years,
and certain things about the glock that people didn't like. Now,
I will tell you one thing, and all the years

(26:27):
I've been dealing with glock, and I did hear this
from someone at SMYRNA several years ago when I asked them, well,
why don't you guys do what's being done with all
the aftermarket parts and stimpling and the undercut relief, and
the response I got was, if we were to do that,
we would be putting a substantial amount of people mom

(26:49):
and pop stores out of business by eliminating the ability
for them to build or modify the glocks. They recognize
that there are people that supports their platform. If they
were going to go and do everything that everyone wanted
to do well, that would be reducing you know, all
those people that support well. So, as I had described
the other week, there was some really great upgrades and

(27:11):
so starting from the bottom up, it has a nice, nice,
easy flared bag. Well, it has a swelled grip as there.
It's a little bit more of a palm swell, which
gives a nice feel in the hand. They have a
stimpling pattern which was very familiar or very similar to

(27:33):
the RTF that was released years ago. And what they
basically did was trunk kate or cut off the top
of the pyramid. So it's a nice aggressive grip. They
did do the undercut the relief on the trigger guard
to eliminate the block muffle. They did implement the new
gas pedals on the left and right side of the

(27:53):
gun for both shooters. I will say this, it will
fit all existing Gen holsters. Those gas pedals were not added.
They basically took material away from an existing part of
the polymer frame. So if there's any concern about it
fitting that a new holster would be needed, but it

(28:15):
doesn't need to be there there. They will fit in
a regular Gen Vibe holster. So that they added the
beaver tail to it, which I'm a big fan of
the beaver tail. And they have two additional backstraps you
can add. And they have a new upgraded MOS system,
but it's not called an MOS. It is a Now

(28:38):
I should have wrote this down. I think it's an Oh. Oh,
I can't believe. I forget what they call it. They
don't call it an MOS anymore.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
It's an.

Speaker 7 (28:49):
Darn it. I didn't write it down. I forgot it.
I failed you guys. But they have a new mounting
platform for any type of red dot optic system. And
what they're using is is they're not using the traditional
steel plates so it would be adaptable to Trigicon RMR
or a delta point. They're actually using a polymer plate

(29:11):
that is made of the same material that the gun
itself is made from the grip. It's kind of a
del ron. It's a little bit softer, so once you
tighten it down, it will slightly compress a little bit,
and it's going to reduce the impact or the kinetic
energy that's transferred from the gun over to the optic
But they've made it a much simpler design, and they've

(29:33):
redesigned the internal extractor a little bit so the optic
system actually sits lower and will co witness with the
factory sites.

Speaker 3 (29:43):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Wow, that's nice.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Okay, nice, So no more needing like suppressor height sites.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
Correct?

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Wow, okay, no, correct.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
So the big question is did they come up with a.

Speaker 7 (29:56):
Gen Well, they're going to release their most popular designs,
the most desirable and for two reasons. Number one commercially,
nine millimeter was exploded number one popular in my opinion,
the round. It's out there. Also, it's being used with
most law enforcement agencies. So they're going with their nine

(30:16):
millimeter for the beginning of twenty twenty six, and as
they progress into the later part and into twenty twenty seven,
they will start to introduce other models and other calibers.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
So any so you're saying that three seven sig is
not like imminent.

Speaker 7 (30:37):
No, no, Unfortunately, and I'm a fan of that round
just like you are. Eric. I do like that, but no,
I don't think that's going to be something in the future.
But if I could take a moment, I want to
address something real quickly about the V series.

Speaker 4 (30:49):
And that was a.

Speaker 7 (30:50):
Huge explosion in the industry, and everyone was talking bad
about the V series and everyone was putting on videos
about the clock switch. I want to make a couple
points extremely clear. Glock never said anything anywhere at any
time that the V Series could not be converted with
the switch. The V series design was to prevent the

(31:12):
existing switches from being easily installed. Number one. They never
said that they're nowhere, is there anywhere documented or anyone
ever said you could not convert the gun. So that
was number one. And everyone wants to know why the
V Series come out before the Gen six. The V
Series is just basically the Gen Stix upper slide, and

(31:35):
what they wanted to do was get it out there
as quickly as possible to address some certain issues that
have been going on with that's been pressed at with Glock,
with states like Illinois, in New York, in California. So
they wanted to immediately address that by releasing that gun,
and then basically the Gen six is the V series,

(31:56):
just minus the V and then they did all the
new modifications for the receivers. For itself, it is and
I will say that the Gen six internals are not
compatible with existing Gen after market parts are clock after
market parts. These are completely unique to this gun. So
you're going to see a whole bunch of companies coming
out with new trigger assemblies, you know, like everything else

(32:18):
that they've done, all modifications and changes. But that's that's
the whole thing with the V They never said it
could not be converted, and you know, the whole Internet
blew up and they're like, oh my god, we can
convert it over a big deal.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Who cares GC.

Speaker 5 (32:33):
Yeah, I also heard that at least I read that.
One thing that is different is the barrels that they
said they've redesigned those and none of the other barrels
will fit. Magazines are are good, but they said a
Gen six barrel will not fit in any other in
the other block.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
So for those who.

Speaker 5 (32:52):
Want to convert, say, I already have this barrel and
that's not going to be the case. You are going
to need a different barrel, but you are going to
be you are going to need one, So it's a
different barrel, it's a different camphoring and some different design.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
But but anyway, I thought that was that was interesting.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Talking to my buddy rich who actually shot the Glock
Gen six this week, had time to play with a
couple of them and stuff. Richie, is this something where
the normal person who doesn't buy a fire them all
the time? I mean, are they going to rush out
and trade in their fives and their Gen fours for this?

Speaker 2 (33:25):
Is it worth it? I mean, is it worth it?

Speaker 1 (33:27):
Or is it Is it just a little nicer for
those people who are just now looking to buy a gun.

Speaker 7 (33:35):
I think those who are dedicated glock spans will definitely
had one of these through their collection. I do think
it is going to be very popular because it's addressed
a lot of the concerns of the prior designs than
some of the upgrades now make the gun way more
desirable than it was before. Because haters are going to hate.
They're always going to complain about the glock being ugly

(33:55):
and it's the new Gen six iPhone and you hear
all the jokes about it. But do I think that
they may be a few under the Christmas tree, well
not this year, and the reason why is they're not
being released until January of twenty twenty six. But yet
I myself firstulow, like I said, there's no room when
I say for another gun. There was not a blip
on my radar to purchase something. But I definitely want

(34:17):
one of these. I'm going to get it with an
optic system and I can't wait to carry one with me.
I really enjoyed shooting it shot where it was very
comfortable to shoot the palm swell. You can feel the
ergonomic differences. I thought this seventeen shot a little flatter,
and I really can't answer why, but I just love
the way the gun felt. I do like the new

(34:38):
flat trigger. It's a traditional block trigger. It's roughly about
three and a half to four pounds on the trigger
press before you hit the wall and the brake. I
like it. I want one, But before we I know
you're gonna cut me off, and I want to let
you know about something else. There is something else on
the future that I do want on my Christmas list,
and that is going to be the new block gr

(34:59):
on one five f Do you know what that is?

Speaker 2 (35:02):
The gr one on five F isn't that that five
five six? Rich?

Speaker 7 (35:07):
Yeah, So Glock has not publicly come out and said, hey,
we have a new AR, but they have acknowledged that, yes,
they've had one for many years. There are some agencies
over in Europe right now that are currently carrying them.
There is no ETA or release date that Glock is
saying that they're going to start offering this in the US.

(35:28):
I can tell you right now it's not going to
happen in twenty twenty six, but it is going to
be released. And the sad thing is I've known this
for probably eight years that they.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Have this, and just now telling this, well.

Speaker 7 (35:43):
You know, there's this funny little thing called an NDA
that I don't I won't look good in prison, you know,
I'm too damn pretty.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Yeah, I know, I know we've talked about that, Rich.
So it's good. I mean, it's it's a good thing.
I mean, they'll probably due for the next generation. I'm
still a little a little torn with it because I
I don't know, I I some side of me feels
like they caved a little bit. But as we've said
before here, I mean, you know, their business. You have

(36:11):
to do what you have to do and if they
felt the pressures, if that led to this, I don't
know if this was coming out anyway, but it's just
the big change. Yeah, I mean, that's that's kind of
the perception is whether it is or isn't, I don't know.
But but still, I mean, I'm sure it's going to
be normously popular.

Speaker 7 (36:27):
Yeah, I mean, it's as far as the caving attitude,
that seems to be something that's everyone's talking about in
the industry. But you know, something, put yourself in the
shoes of those at glock, what would you do?

Speaker 4 (36:37):
You know?

Speaker 7 (36:37):
Unfortunately, you know it's sometimes in business, decisions need to
be made, and if people want to say that they
caved in, that's that's that's up for another discussion.

Speaker 5 (36:49):
Yeah, but at least you're coming off with a nicer product.
And I think, I mean you said that just that
the listeners know there's no more MOS and the clock.
They're all optic ready. Everything you buy will be optic ready,
at least in the non slim line arena. So anyway, yeah, yeah,
that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (37:05):
Well, Richie, thank you for calling in a couple of
weeks ago and giving us the heads up and certainly
coming back and finishing that up with actually being able
to touch and feel it and stuff. So have a great Christmas.
I'm sure I'll talk to you this week. But thank
you so much for calling in multiple times this year
on the show.

Speaker 7 (37:22):
Thank you very much, gentleman. I wish everyone at LPD
a very merry Christmas.

Speaker 5 (37:27):
Merry merry Christmas.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
Thanks Richie, Thanks my buddy, Richie. It's funny, and we
go back. We go back a long time now and stuff.
It's just used to be my sales rep for Interstate
Arms when I was doing this business in my basement
and no one else would talk to me because we
didn't have a store front, and Richie did and we
hit it off and been friends ever since. And ironically,
kind of on a side note, for as close of

(37:51):
friends that we are, we've only ever I think been
together two or three times. He came here once and
then I think I saw him once the trade show,
and I think we met him once in Boston.

Speaker 2 (38:02):
The family did well. I just have a bunch of
British stuff that I'd like him. Yeah, good guy, good guy.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Because let's jump to a break when we get to
the other side. Got a little bit of housekeeping to
get to maybe squeeze in one more new story. We're
talking aboutcasting life from the studio of the l EPD
Farms Range.

Speaker 2 (38:15):
We'll be back after the break.

Speaker 1 (38:18):
This is pretty much, uh, pretty much the truth right now.
Ed is starting to come down out there. Yes, it
is welcome back to on Target. I'm your host, Eric
joined to the LAPD studio. We have the one on
the natty list. Ella is pulling the levers back for us. Uh,
she's ever forever going to be known as being on
the natty list. Yes, yes, it's not funny to sun

(38:41):
Edge sits to my right, JC to my left. Thanks
for our buddy Richie calling in talking about the jet
six guys. In the remaining couple of minutes, got a
couple housekeeping things. One I wanted to give a shout
out to our friends over at CNS Engraving.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Haven't talked to him for a while.

Speaker 1 (38:57):
And I had a chance to stop over there this week,
and they're actually going to come on this show. It's
probably going to be after the new year now because
they are ramping up for being able to do the
engraving for a lot of these new NFA items that
are going to be coming down the pike.

Speaker 6 (39:11):
With They're going to bring in some nice knives for
deer Hunt and.

Speaker 1 (39:17):
CNN, well CNS and not River's Edge. Yeah, yes, so yeah,
so I was like, I said, stop by there, and
you know, I was thinking as I was pulling up there.
My duty firearm, my daily knife, carry my coffee mug,
the interest to my office, all of those have been

(39:37):
through the hands of CNS Engraving. I mean really, they're
the ones, really, the only ones we trust to engrave
some stuff, especially when you get the firearms.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Oh yeah, and you know.

Speaker 5 (39:45):
I had a couple of knives engraved last year off
for Christmas gifts, and yeah, did a great job.

Speaker 3 (39:50):
I took a couple of firearms.

Speaker 1 (39:51):
Yeah, I know that you really have to trust somebody
to hand them your firearm and trust that they're going
to engrave it because you get one shot at that
pretty much. But yeah, they're great if you need something
last minute. CNS Engraving in pal they have a little
shop in the front where there's some pre made stuff,
but they do barrel heads, I mean all kinds of
unique things. I mean, good people over there too. So

(40:13):
we look forward to hearing from them in the.

Speaker 2 (40:15):
Next couple weeks.

Speaker 1 (40:16):
Here at the store, our magazine still is still going
on twenty five percent off all magazines. We started out
guys with thirty five hundred magazines from pretty much any
gun you can think of, but they're still on sale,
so stop by check that out. Great stocking stuffers we have.
Oh this is important too, the glock gin fives, which

(40:39):
you know a month ago they said this is it,
They're done. We were able to get another batch of
them in this one was back close to the normal pricing,
which has allowed us to lower them back to about
what they were. So we have another batch that are here.
The price the price might even be a hair lower
than they originally were, but the price isn't bad. If

(41:00):
you're in the market for a block we still have
some block mos over there as well.

Speaker 2 (41:04):
Good and what else.

Speaker 1 (41:05):
Gift card If you buy one hundred dollars gift card,
you get a twenty five dollars off one hundred dollars purchase,
so that's always good if you're buying a firearm for
someone for as a gift. We always talk about this.
It is best to from a couple of different reasons.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
The best to.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
Come in and put it on a gift card for
him and we can help you with what to wrap
up and stuff. But typically you can't come in and
buy something by a firearm as a gift for someone.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Now there's some exceptions to that, exceptions for that. Yeah,
so that's too.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
What else, there's still a couple of free guns over
there for people want to sign up for memberships. Yeah,
I saw a couple of North American arms over there today.
And what else? Still ten percent off all used guns.
They've been flying off the shelf though, but they're still
what about a.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
Hundred you know what? Ammo?

Speaker 1 (41:50):
There were no Ammo sales this year. We Amo has
been flying off the shelves too. The price has come
down on Ammo, so it is not nearly what it was,
not not even close to what it was during COVID,
is approaching what it was pre COVID, and so there
was no there was really no good sales on it
this year. We still have quite a bit, have another

(42:10):
shipment coming I think the first week of January, but yeah,
certainly that what else?

Speaker 2 (42:16):
JC one thing?

Speaker 1 (42:19):
Next week we're going to talk about holsters for a
wintertime character time and I think the guy from Infantech
is calling in. That's that really neat optic? That is thermal.
Oh yeah, yeah, so I think he's calling into JC.
You got up until they start playing the music if
you got a quick one.

Speaker 5 (42:34):
Okay, This one I thought was kind of kind of funny.
The Ninth Circuit Court upholds the federal machine gun restrictions.
That's no surprise, but the case was a guy named
Daniel Kitson of Oregon tried to transfer a World War
two a sub machine gun ps F forty three to
an undercover agent who said he was a drug trafficker

(42:56):
and a and a firearms trafficker. But he tried to
it out of it because they said he found out
he was a government employed. He goes, oh, well it's
okay to transfer machine guns to the government.

Speaker 2 (43:06):
That was case.

Speaker 1 (43:08):
Lovely guys, thank you for being the last hour with us.
Thanks Santa so much for calling in. And our buddy
Rich will be back next week live. Don't want to
miss that. And as always, guys, let's be careful out there.
