If you got splashed while you were walking outside, it

He was telling me he's driving here today and he's like, man,
I was splashing people. He's like, I was trying to
slow down. But you're on a regular road, thorough or whatever.

You can yell him, Well, you've got Lake Erie forty
fifty into your lane. You've gotten You've got to go.
It's traffic. It's a street. It's what it does. I
can't stop. There's a whole bunch of traffic behind me.
I'm sorry, but yeah, I splashed a couple of people
coming in here.

Man, did you did they see it coming? Was it
like a tidal wave?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
It was pretty significant, yeah, because I mean it was
a whole lot of water fell very quickly. So there's
a bunch of ponding out there, and it, you know,
I have to assume because it's not like I'm the
only car coming through there and splashing. You see every
car before me and after me doing the same thing.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Right.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Well, the good part of that is you would think
the very first car kind of empties out the little
ponding area or.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
You know, to being wet.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Yeah, well yeah, it empties a lot of it out
and it takes whatever to refill a little bit, I
would think.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
But you're saying it was like wrapping it.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
It was pretty much the gatling gun of water dispersal.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Man man oh Man, Yeah, yeah, so chances are it
was chuck. If you got hit and you were walking
on the west side somewhere on the sidewalk. I actually
you're the only one. I used an umbrella today, which
I never do. But it was coming down so heavy.
I'm like, okay, yeah, I gotta because your hair or well,
that's part of it.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Yeah. I didn't want to get you know, coming here
looking like a sheet dog. I'm a walking billboard for
Van Skoye. I don't want to go ahead. What that's
what they didn't to you? Oh heck no, I can't
have that happening. So so yeah, I was.

I was. I stared at I have an umbrella, and
I was staring at it.

And when I got out to come in, it really
wasn't down very good, and I thought, man, I hope
I don't need this when we leave hopefully it'll lighten
up or you know that kind of thing. But I man,
I don't remember the last time.

I don't. I don't. Oh, I do remember the last
time I used an umbrella.

It was during Stone's spring ball and we got Oh
my gosh.

It was it was biblical. What was happening to us? Man?

We were up in ostrander. We were in the ostrander.
Oh my good Chuck, it was unbelievable. That's when my
mom was out there. I was like, you know, sideways,
She's crouched down in a chair with the umbrella basically
over the top of her head.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
I'm like, ma, we gotta go, and she's like, what, Mom,
Come on. It was like it was literally, like you know,
something biblical.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
That held his umbrella over his mother.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Yea, no, I was, and she was under hers.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
But dude, the rain was so severe and it was
straight sideways, just short of literally being inside of a bubble.
There's no way to avoid getting hit by what was
coming down.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Do you remember those bubble umbrellas like the girls used
to carry when we were kids. Yeah, you know, I
miss those, and I miss I miss the oyer yellow
rain slickers. Man. Seeing the kids in the yellow rain
slickers walking to school. I miss that.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
So the bubble umbrellas were clear because they came down
to almost like waste not quite waste level, but.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, like about to your chest or so.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
I guess if you're such a little kid, Yeah, you'd
have to have it clear so you could see where
you were walking.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
But that does kind of insulate the top, but doesn't
do anything for the lower half.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Kind of like the Darth Vader helmet of rain protection.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yes, yes, oversized large, and it's.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
If you breathe too heavy, you probably could fog those
things up.

Speaker 1 (03:42):

Moeggar, who works sister station ESPN fifteen thirty in Cincinnati,
our sister one of our sister stations for iHeart, He
tweeted out a little bit ago. I've waited my entire life.
I have to see a Super Bowl winning quarterback start
for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
And he is a Bengals fan, He's a Reds fan.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
He lives in the Sensei area, He's born Bred, he
is the he is mister Cincinnati.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
And I saw that and started dying laughing. I had
not heard the information.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
The news until I walked in right before we were
going on, Yep, you're getting yourself a Bengals new quarterback,
you Bengals fan?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Are you excited? How I feel?

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I think Flacco is a good fit for that, for
that Bengals offensive line. He can work within the time
parameters they're not giving you know, Burrow or Browning for
that matter, that enough time. He is a fast released
kind of guy. Flacco can work within that system. I
think he's gonna benefit the Bengals. I think we're going
to see a completely different team this next week. Wow.

The Bengals and Browns? Yeah, till close to the end
of the season. It's because we played early on.

Okay, Yeah, I was like going through I got all
the way to I'm all the way in December and
I didn't see it yet. I'm just like flipping through
the schedule. So yeah, Flato's not gonna have to worry
about that. Well, not that he's going to worry about
it or whatever, but this is this is an interesting thing.
I'm floored that had happened. And I don't they what

I think it was like one point six mil for
a one year deal with him. Yeah, he was not
getting paid anything outrageous.

Yes, well that's true, So well, good luck man. That'll
be boy, that'll be musty TV for a lot of
the nation.

Actually, yeah, I don't even know who we play next.
It it doesn't matter. I want to see. I want
to see what our offense can do. I just you
know what, even if they lose the next game, as
long as they're productive, strongly productive, that's what I'm looking for.

and it is four to twenty five, and you will
be on CBS here locally.

Shape Well, the good thing is the Browns. Steelers are at.

One o'clock, which means I get to watch Channel ten
and watch my Bengals. Good.

Well, that's provided they do a double header that day, right,
I think I don't know if I see I don't know.
I've never figured out the algorithm there. I don't know
how they do because some weeks it's a double header,
in some weeks it's not. I don't think they're allowed
to do a double header in this market every week.

But that's gonna be fun to watch. I'm I can't wait, man,

I'm gonna watch my Steelers pubble the Browns and then
I'm gonna watch you guys in Green Bay and we'll
see how Flacco does.

I'm rooting for it. It's a shade Browns and Bigeles
is so late in the sea, is there? I mean not,
you're a Steelers fan, obviously, but is there a point
weather wise where you go No, I'll just watch at
home where it's because I as much as I love
my Bengals, you know, when we start talking, you know,
single digit temperatures and wind chills and all that stuff.
I've got no interest in actually going to a football game.

So we I've experienced it all.

I've been there when I've just worn a Steelers T
shirt and I've been in the stadium and it was
an October game. It was warm out, like eighty degrees. Right,
I've been there for that. I've been there when it's
rained sideways on us and it's not exactly warm, but it's.

In like the fifties.

I've been there when it's raining on the edge of
snowing and then so that's been cold and awful. And
then I've been there. Jenny's first game in Pittsburgh was
with me. It was a playoff game and it was
the air temperature air temperature was minus one.

Holy not the wind chill.

The air temperature was minus one, and we damn near froze.

Man. It was crazy. I crazy.

I'd enjoy that.

We and we ended up losing, so and then we
had to walk back to quite a ways to get
back to where we were staying too.

So so we've we've done it all. We've done it all,
and yeah, man, I'll do that for the Steelers.

I wouldn't do it for the Buckeyes because I you know,
the Buckeyes.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
Are year and year out, and I'm like, I can
go earlier on.

But if it's a chance to go see the Steelers
in Pittsburgh, it's pretty special.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
If you're a Steeler fan, Look, stop yelling at the
radio and throwing stuff at the radio. If you're Browns
are Bengals fan.

I've been a Steeler fan my entire life, all fifty
six years i've been on this planet. So at least
there's that even back I just started liking them when
I was a kid, you know, Steel Curtain Days and
all that stuff.

the best ones was Pink Taco in d C. They
have multiple places, but in d C literally like two
doors down from where I was staying on M Street
in Washington, d C. There's a Pink Taco there. That boy,
I'm telling you, their food is off this.

You know who's probably not making a big deal out
a National Taco Day as all of my Mexican friends
on the West Side with the taco trucks every day. Man,
come have another one, Chuck. It's authentic good stuff over there. Man,
there's a couple of those trucks where I could seriously
get an addiction.

Those those are usually the best as far as the
those taco trucks. Yeah, it's like it's so good because
the flavors baked in or fried in or whatever to
those flat tops that they use, so you're just piling up.

It's just stacking flavors, you know when you start.

So my buddy Alex has a it's like a you
remember those big silver camper diner things from the fifties.
It's almost that big at this point. He started off
with a little bitty trailer thing on a corner, and
then he grew bigger. And I love that he's got
this giant thing along with seating and everything else out
there in the parking lot and a little gazebo situation

going on, and he sees me coming in. Hey, chunky
cheese man, come on. And anytime he Chucky jee. He
refers people to me because I've helped him with some
real estate stuff. And if my phone rings hello, Hello,
he's chunky Cheese. I know Alex has sent these people
because they all call me Chuck e Cheese.
