Speaker 2 (00:08):
Thank he's transitioning. No, no, I'm kidding, Chuck, I love you,
not for his sake.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
I love you.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
I love you and you know that. Uh yeah, the
Queen would not be cool with that. Let's just put
it that. Just messing around. But glad to see. I
saw on socials he's posted and said, you know, everything's cool.
And so I'm I'm I'm cautiously optimistic that he'll be
back tomorrow. I don't want dilated. He doesn't want dilated, right, No,

(00:39):
no dilation. Wait, he wasn't giving birth, was he?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I hope not.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I don't want dilated anyway. So yeah, he'll be back tomorrow.
So that's uh. And GOP strategist Bob Plague is in
studio right now.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Man, I I gotta be honest.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
I'm I'm pretty excited about what There's some June restaurant
openings in this area, and I'm not going to get
to those right this second. I'm going to have to
get to them a little bit later. So I will
get to those a little bit later. And here's why
he's joining US Now ABC News, Alex Stone and Alex
how are you men?

Speaker 3 (01:18):
Well, hello, gentlemen, how are you hey?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Doing good?

Speaker 1 (01:20):
I was just telling I was just telling Bob, Bob
Clagg is here with me, GOP strategists, and so I
was I had not one, not two, but three different
packages arrived today as soon as I left the house.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Of course, that's how that works.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Toys, where you go on vacation and then you have
a big box on your front doorsteps.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
And as soon as that happens, of course, I'm driving
down the road and so I let my kids know.
I'm like, hey, are you guys able to And I
get a picture. Stone sends me a picture of the
top of his knee and in the background is the pool,
so he and his sister are at the pool, and
he goes, well, we're at the pool.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
So I'm not gonna be able to get those.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
So I'm I'm on pins and needles all afternoon because
I'm like, Dad, gone it, I need to get these there.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
It's like a lot of a.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Decent amount of money wrapped up in these gifts Father's
Day stuff and some surprises for them by the way too.
So I finally my wife gets off at three point thirty,
and so I know she's home, and so I saw
on find my iPhone that the kids are back at
the house and I'm texting Josephine. I'm texting my wife Jenny.
I'm like, is anybody what are the did you.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
Get all the packages? Are they in the house?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
And so I send Stone a note and I told
Bob while we're sitting here during the break and goo.
He never replies on anything I ever send him, So
this is gonna be stupid for me. He was the
one that replied, and I say, can you send me
photos of the and he did. I go, we got everything.
We got all of them. And I said, dude, you're
back in the will, your daughter, your your sister's out
of the will now.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
So he told me.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
I told him that.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
So it was actually kind of funny. But everything, nobody
has stolen them. You're gonna be all good.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Yes, I'm saying, they're all safe, and I'm so happy.
But you know, and it's not like we leave in
the hood or something. But at the same time, you know,
you don't know somebody driving by, it's a crime of opportunity.
They go, hey, there's package on the front port. I'm
gonna grab it, you know or whatever. So hey, I
know I wanted to get to this. The Boulder fire
bombing suspect. This guy, he tried to buy guns, but

(03:19):
it was no can do and the laws held up
in this situation.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Yeah, they really did.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
So from the beginning, Mohammed Seliman, he had told police
that he was planning this to be an active shooter
what went on on Sunday in Boulder, and that he
tried and tried to get guns, but he could not
get them because he's in the country illegally and the
background check system worked on that. He was born in
Egypt and then lived in Kuwait for seventeen years, came

(03:44):
to Colorado Springs three years ago with his family, overstayed
his visa, and now we know in November he went
to a Colorado Springs sporting goods store, tried to buy
a handgun, was denied, and that the instant background check
came back because he is in the country illegally. And
then on December thirtieth, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation turned

(04:06):
him down for a concealed weapons permit because of the
same reason. And at that point he apparently decided it
was going to be a firebombing attack, and the US
Attorney in Colorado saying.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Mister Solomon stated that he had been planning this attack
for a year and he acted because he hated what
he called the Zionist group.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
So he then began doing research on YouTube and elsewhere
to understand molotov cocktails and a kind of homemade blow
torch sort of thing that he was able to make
because he couldn't get his hands on any guns. We
just found out a couple of minutes ago as well, Mark,
that we've known that his family is in the process
of being deported, but we now know that they are

(04:49):
all Egyptian citizens, that they all overstated their visas. We
didn't know what the current status was of them. It
is his forty one year old wife, their eighteen year
old dog, are two minor daughters and two minor sons
who are all part of this, and the efforts are
underway now to deport them back to Egypt.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Then I also saw two Alex that on December thirtieth,
I don't think, well, maybe you did spotlight this, but
that they denied that application for the concealed handgun.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah, yeah, and you.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Know clearly as we know he was, He's been planning
this for quite a while. This guy was looking to
do some serious I mean, not that he didn't do
some serious damage as is, but I think there would
have been much more carnage and probably you know, well
to say more death. There wasn't and no one has
passed that I know of, and so there would have

(05:41):
been people killed.

Speaker 2 (05:43):
You know, he would have been cutting people down with us. Absolutely. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
The injury count is up to fifteen now. It's been
going up slowly as more and more people have come
forward and said, you know, I've got an injury, and
many of them are minor injuries. But police and the
FBI they want to know everybody because every one of
those is another charge against Mohammed Solomon that they can say, well,
here's another injury, here's another attempted murder. So it's up

(06:06):
to fifteen.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
There are three who.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
Are critically or seriously injured right now, but nobody killed.
And there was I mean, we've seen witness videos, a
lot of fire. There was a I mean really the
threat there of how badly injured more people could have been.
But had he had a you know, a gun, that
in those moments that it wouldn't have been what this

(06:29):
was where three people have bad burns but they're going
to survive. So yeah, I mean the system worked. He
wasn't able to get that gun because he's an illegal
immigrant and he didn't get what he wanted.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Yeah, absolutely, Alex Stone, ABC News out of Los Angeles, thanks.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
For the very latest on.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I appreciate you yet it thanks you guys to see you man,
you know what for once? Yeah, we see, we've seen
that the gun laws worked.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Yeah, you know. Then here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
This isn't a knock on gun laws, but by and large,
if these things are enforced and it's you know, they're
they're handled correctly, they're in place to work. We don't
need more gun laws, is really where I was going
with that. Which every time and there wasn't an incident
here with a gun, but every time there is, that's
when you always hear the left they start screaming for

(07:16):
more gun laws. But this is a shining example. The
gun laws are in place, and if they are enforced,
they work.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
We watched it work with this guy.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
The gun law worked, but the other part of the
law didn't work.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
What I don't understand about with the enforcing the v
he overstayed the vtay.

Speaker 4 (07:36):
So you find out not once, but twice you have
an individual wanting a gun and a permit to carry
a gun and they're illegally here. Now I don't know,
Colorado's maybe a sanctuary state. But why isn't that reported

(07:56):
immediately to Ice that this individual and you would have
his address because you have to give that information when
you're trying to buy a gun or trying to get
a concealed carry permit.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Yeah, so they would have his address. Why wasn't he
picked up?

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Now, I here's the thing, there's some discrepancy with regard
to the timing. December thirtieth is when they denied the
application for the concealed handgun permit.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
At that point, he.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Was not illegal as far as he was here on
a well it actually was. It changed to a work
visa from what initially.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
He was here on.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
And a little bit of this is cloudy for me,
as you can tell by the way, all I know
is that has been expired for a couple of months,
point being December thirtieth is prior to when.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
This expired his work visa. Okay, you will. So they
said this.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
Was a couple of months expired, and I don't know
that he was at the same address from December thirtieth
where when he applied.

Speaker 2 (08:56):
For this to now.

Speaker 1 (08:58):
Chances are he was especially get and he has a
large family. It's not like it's just him and he
can switch to a different apartment or whatever. But they
were dodging being you know, thrown out. But I would
imagine they were on ICE's radar with regard to their
here illegally at this point, especially knowing that two months
ago that expired.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
So who knows.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
I would imagine they're on that list as far as
to get to But how are they to know that
he was planning.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
That's if the state would notify them. Correct, correct, and
I'm guessing Colorado would not.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
I'm a guess they're very relaxed. They I mean, we
know that they're all about Uh, they're woke.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
I mean the state of.

Speaker 1 (09:40):
Colorado l Yes, yes, piece, yep, absolutely.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
So we were just talking about KJP has a book
coming out, Yes she does.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
I think is it called Independent, Yes, It's could have
been Dependent A Look.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Inside a Broken White House Outside the Party Line. So
set to be released in October, and you and I
were just kind of lamenting. It's like, she's not going
to be a Democrat. She's saying she's leaving the Democrat Party.
She's going to be an she's going to register as
an independent. And this is an attempt to sell books.
In my estimation, I think you watched her. She was

(10:21):
so complicit with everything going on. But here's the other
part of this. And look, I'm not giving her a pass.
We all know that everybody set her head's full of rocks,
and she's the dumbest, had to be the dumbest Press
secretary in the history of the White House possibly and
she's in her fifties. She's young fifties by the way too.
So you say to yourself, you go, she could she

(10:43):
really really.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Be this dumb? Now here's the thing, and again not
giving her a pass.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
But during that time, there is no way that when
she's being pressed by Peter Doucy or any of the
other press corps about Biden's deficiencies and his declining mental
state faculties, there's no way that she could go.

Speaker 2 (11:06):
You know, you're right, we're seeing that on a daily basis.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Yeah, I don't think she could, So does it Does
it make it any better that we know that she's
lying through every one of her teeth?

Speaker 2 (11:17):
She was lying, lying, lying, lying, lying, lying like a rug.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
There's no question she had to do that. She's working
for that administration. The fact that she's jump ship now
she's an independent is it Is this an attempt to
sell books or is this really how she feels? And
I told you if this was like an expose where
she's going to spill the beans, I would have renewed
respect Well, not even renewed. You gotta have it's gotta

(11:42):
be to be renewed. You had to have an initiative.
So I never had respect for But I would say, Okay,
somebody who's seeing the air of her ways and if
there's a bunch of truth in it, validating what we
all witnessed for months and years, Oh yeah, then would
you say to yourself, Okay, even if it's at her
at time tempt to sell books, it is the truth
coming out, even if she's selling them all out so

(12:04):
she can cash in.

Speaker 4 (12:05):
Yeah, I mean, I think I think you're right. She
would gain some respect, and obviously she would sell a
lot more books.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
But I just don't think she's going to do that.
I mean, I'll be shocked.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
If she really comes clean and says, yeah, you know,
I could tell that you know, he wasn't recognizing me
at certain points, or you know, he couldn't string two
sentences together.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
I mean, I'd be shocked if she does that in
the book.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
In the book, yep.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
Even though right now with it being released in October
and I don't know anything about writing books. Is the
thing complete right now or is it mostly complete and
she can make done edit? Yeah, we're pretty much edited.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
No, they have somebody, I mean, she's going through a
regular publishing chores, so they have their own editors that
take it and do the final.

Speaker 1 (13:01):
So then you wonder if if what is she now
has a streak of.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
To hell with it?

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, and goes not an epiphany, but her going, yeah,
you know what, I'm just gonna be honest about all
of this.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Yeah, And she and if she's thinking clearly her whatever
career she wants to have, it'll be helped a lot
more if she does tell the truth.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
She has to go into witness protection. If she tells
the truth.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Well, I mean the Waco Democrats, it'll be after outside
of them, nobody else.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Yeah yeah. Is that enough though? It's they're pretty bad
right right, last name Clinton mean yeah,
