Speaker 1 (00:00):
Uh, you know, you and I were just talking about
let's bring in Alex Stone from ABC News, and uh, Alex,
we were just talking about this new Oreo cookie that
has Reese's peanut butter in between the two Oreo cookies. Oh,
and so I told Chuck about it, and.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Oh, actually I think we wait, this is a Reese's
cup that's got Oreo in it.

Speaker 1 (00:22):
No, no, no, no, Oh, it's an actual Oreo cookie.
It's packaged as Oreo cookie, but the Reese's logo is
on it, and the and the the cream in the
middle is peanut butter. It's Reese's peanut butter.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
That does sound good. I tried the opposite of it
the other day. My wife brought home the Reese's Peanut
butter cups.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
With Oreo in it.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Oh, okay, so.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
I guess they're doing it.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
So, I don't know if your kids like your son
or your daughter like my son. He keeps me kind
of up to speed on some of the terms. And
one of the things that he uses to make fun
of us when we do stuff like, you know, eat
those and all. He's like, man, you're big back. That
is big back material, Like do you have you heard

(01:07):
that from your kids.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
I'm gonna try that tonight. They hate when I try
to speak there and oh yeah, that's so. I always
misuse it on purpose where I'm like, I'm just rising
you and they're like, Dad, stop, you're not allowed to.
There's other things that I don't even know what they
mean that I just keep saying them, and it really
annoys it.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
I love it. Make sure and go yeah if they are,
if they're having a second helping, or if they can
take a joke, because you got to. You know, some
kids won't receive that well. But I'll say to Stone
like I'll be like, man, that's big back, and he'll
be like, man, what do you know about big back?
Like stuff like that. And so he saw and the
reason I was like kind of bringing all that up

(01:45):
was We're at the store and he saw those and
he goes Dad and he holds up the and I
saw on the packaging it's got reasons on it, and
I go, man, that's big back. He's like, right, I'm
getting it. I'm getting it. So we we bring that
and I was telling him chuck about him, like they're
about the thing I've ever eaten. It's absolutely ridiculous. So
then I go to break and then a lady, uh Cynthia,

(02:06):
who listens to the show, sends me a direct message
and she goes. I saw Selena Gomez Oreos at Speedway
last night, and I was like, what flavor is Selena Gomez.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
Oreos fighting concept?

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Well, I don't know, it depends if you think she's
good looking or not. But I think she's incredibly cute,
and so I go, well, what what flavor is Selena
Gomez Oreos? Now? Who knew? But it's cinnamon. It's chocolate
and cinnamon cream. In between the Oreo cookies, there's Selena

(02:42):
Gomez Oreos.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Hmmm, what I'm really thinking about the chocolate and cinnamon
cream Again, flashback to our childhood. Do you remember Coogle Cool?
No Coogle? It was peanut butter mixtures of stuff, and
there was a peanut butter, chocolate cinnamon coogl No, you
could get all kind There was peanut butter and jelly
and all kinds of stuff.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
But then an exercise you can do a Google exercise.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Uh, that's a woman thing.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
O exp we're guys Alex and it's.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Pronounced something different. I don't even know if I'm allowed
to say it on the air, so I'm not gonna
say it. I've learned over the years.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
I'm even scared to say Queen Latifa these days. Just
say it.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
You're right. If you speed that up, you could say
the wrong thing. It says. These cookies are flavorful Horchata
inspired sweet snacks. A layer of chocolate and cinnamon flavor
cream atop, another layer of sweet and condensed milk flavored
cream with cinnamon sugar inclusion, sandwich between two Oreo chocolate
cinnamon flavored way for cookies, there is a lot.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Going on with only five calories.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Yeah, in a in five percent of it if you will.
But just so you know, I mean, I don't know
if you're up to speed on all the you know,
snacks in it everything, Alex. You probably no.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Only the apparently the Reeses that have Oreos in them,
which by the way, we thought just tasted like a
Reese's peanut butter cup with a little bit of crunch
in it. You really didn't taste much of the oreo.
It just it was more the peanut butter overwhelmed the
Oreo flavor.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Yeah, the have you had the Reeses with the it'll
have like the Reese's pieces inside that in that peanut
butter filling.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
Oh that sounds good.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Yeah, And they're inside the Riese's peanut butter that's inside
the Reese's cup so you bite into it and there's
little pieces of Reese's pieces inside.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Oh. I'm way into that pieces guy anyway, because psychologically
I have him in my hand, I put him in
my mouth. My brain is expecting m and ms okay,
and it's not always yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
And I know you get the fire pit going Alex too,
and they say with s'mores, if you swap out the
chocolate for a Reese's in there with the marshmallow and
you know, in between the gram craft, they say, that's
the next level, you know for doing that. Just f
y I. When we get into the cooler months and
you guys start doing that, just remember that. The kids

(05:09):
will be like dad, if they like Reese's, Yeah, you'll
be like And that's big back. What you're doing right,
that is big back?

Speaker 3 (05:18):
Can you be big back and riz at the same time.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
I think you can.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
The kids will tell you there should be a medal
for that if you're both yea, both big.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
You started making up word where You're like, no, that's
Scooby Do.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Why Scooby Do?

Speaker 2 (05:32):
And you're like, you haven't heard that.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Your kids will be like dad, get out of here
with yeah, don't do it. Do you wear crocs by
the way, is that your kids like those?

Speaker 2 (05:43):
Or no? No, they don't wear them either, Okay, And
I know you can put them into sport sport mode
and everything.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Yeah, yeah, I guess that's a real thing too. I
just thought I would ask off the top of my
head because that's a thing here in Ohio. I don't
know people still. I thought that went away, but it didn't.
Crocs is still a thing here or what have you?
Any way, So, yeah, we've been watching as far as
the man Hu goes all day. Alex is switching to
a more serious tone here with you know, for Charlie Kirk,

(06:10):
Charlie Kirk's killer. We were we've been monitoring this all day.
They say, I don't know how close they are to
finding somebody, but I know they offered up a reward
and all that. So what do you have as far
as the late as well?

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, so we thought we were going to get an
update to about two hours three hours ago, but the
FBI canceled it along with the Utah Department of Public Safety,
and they said because of rapid developments. But they have
said over and over again today they do not have
anybody in custody. They have not identified anybody, so it's
not that yet, although it could be that at any

(06:43):
time or not at all today, and they likely will
brief at some point. But they have the clearest surveillance
images now of the guy that they believe as a shooter.
You've seen him, a younger guy wearing a long sleeve,
dark shirt with an American flag looks like a gun
over the American flag and the imprint on the shirt,
and a hat and sunglasses. But they don't know who
it is. We know that the cash Betel is on

(07:05):
his way to Utah right now, leading some to believe
that there's some announcement coming, But the FBI is telling
us know that he just as a director, wants to
be on the ground to show leadership and leading the
big investigation. But today Bo Mason, the head of the
Utah Department of Public Safety, saying.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
We do have good video footage of this individual. We
are not going to release that at this time. We're
working through some technologies and some ways to identify this individual.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
They do believe that, based on the image that they
put out today that they're going to very quickly get
a lot of tips in that one hundred thousand dollars
reward of people that are going to say I know
who that is.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Now.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
On the different surveillance images, they say they see him
arriving on campus at eleven fifty two am. He climbs
up some stairs onto the roof of a nearby building.
Not those buildings right around where Charlie Kirk was where
you see them, This is beyond that where he apparently
hit out dressed in dark clothing with the bolt action
rifle and then that single shot at twelve twenty. Then

(08:04):
he jumps off the building and runs into some woods.

Speaker 4 (08:06):
After the shooting, we were able to track his movements
as he moved to the other side of the building,
jumped off of the building, and fled off of the
campus and into a neighborhood.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
And so guys said that gun found in the woods,
the towel over it. We know from a number of
law enforcement sources today there was a spent cartridge in
the chamber. There were unspent cartridges that had wording apparently
on wordings apparently on them. The law enforcement is telling
us they believe are transgender messages or anti fascist writings
on them, but they're trying to decipher what the words mean.

(08:39):
That the gun is going to Quantico so that the
FBI can look for any latent fingerprints or any DNA
on it. They do have one palm print and a
forearm print that they're working on to try to narrow
that down to get an ID. They also have a
shoe imprint they're working with.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Suspect blended in well with a college institution. We're not
really so many details right now, and we will soon,
but right now we're not but that that individual appears
to be of college.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Age, and so they're using the technology of whatever the
FBI has at its disposal to look at the surveillance
video that they've got and try to id the killer.
And they say tips are coming in right now, but
as of this point, there is no briefing that is
planned for tonight after they canceled the one earlier, and
but again at some point they could say any moment
that they're going to give one, but as of now,

(09:27):
they don't have anybody in custody.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Yeah, my guess is with cash Mittel headed that way
that they probably are thinking he's got intel, that probably
indicates that some thing's getting ready to break if they
don't already even have somebody in custody. Alex is my
just again spitball and just you know, my guess with
regard to this. The other part is they're talking about

(09:49):
fingerprints and a forearm that they lifted off of the rifle.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
Is that, Yeah, we don't know if it's off of
the rifle or off of where he was perched on
top of that building. We know the shoe print came
from the ground, but so the most likely thing that
you would think that there may be an imprint of
some kind on the rifle from leaning up against it,
but it may have been from something on the ground
where he was hiding out as well. And the other
part about him going there, yeah, I would assume that

(10:15):
they're going to be more careful about making an announcement
after the two mis announcements yesterday. And you know, I
think that this is the new FBI where it's a
little more raw and putting out information. But that's typically
why the FBI, more than any agency, is usually ultra careful,
where we know something and you're waiting for them to
announce it, to put something out to misidentify. There's a

(10:36):
father of the second guy who has detained where patellad
announced yesterday they had a subject in custody, saying that
his son was there as a supporter of Charlie Kirk
and I'm just quoting from him. It's ridiculous. It's absolutely
uncalled for and insane because their names were put out there,
of the two people who were taken into custody, and
now they are apparently being harassed by people who think
that they they did the shooting, and the FBI is

(10:58):
saying that that was they were involved whatsoever, and that
the law enforcement put their names out there. So there
were you know, people are detained all the time in
a shooting and typically we never know about it or
it comes out afterwards, but not their identities. And yesterday
it seemed that they were pretty quick to put that out,
and so I wouldn't be surprised if tonight they're a
little more or in the coming days a little more

(11:20):
careful about announcing that they have somebody in custody.

Speaker 3 (11:22):
Alex I didn't even know until you said something about
the picture, and you said they had good pictures, So
I looked it up. Here this photo of him ascending
the staircase. If he's got a driver's license, a college ID,
a high school senior portrait, or anything else, facial recognition,
she be able to track this guy.

Speaker 1 (11:37):
You would think.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
So, yeah, they've got to be using and they just
said that they're going to use every technology that they've got.
I would assume that that's going to be part of it.
The sunglasses may make it, you know, where you don't
get a one hundred percent one person versus you know,
you may get a thousand people and then have to
work it down from there. So it could take some time,
but it seems like that that's a pretty clear photo.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, all right, So yeah, we're we have been say
saying all day too that we're going to carry anything
that pops as far as a press conference, which, like you,
we've been just kind of waiting on this or what
have you, and nothing as of yet. But it looks like, yeah,
there's nothing indicating that they even have anyone in custody,

(12:17):
just some pretty strong leads at this point. So yeah, exactly, Yeah,
all right, Alex Stone, ABC News out of Los Angeles. Alex,
thank you very much, appreciate it.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Bye, guys, see you man.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah, I don't I don't know. You probably don't want
to say necessarily on air kind of your assessment on
what you were kind of looking at. But I think
it's George.

Speaker 3 (12:38):
Sinner story, remember him, the white Latino. I think they
may be on the wrong track if they're looking for
a white guy.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, you're right. They should be able to with the
way that they are able to put things together, given
you know, little bits and pieces of information that they
should be able to probably kind of you know, put
something together here sooner rather than later. With um, they've
got a lot of infro.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
The world wide Web. I just posted that picture on
my Facebook page, so anybody who's on my Facebook can
take a look. Feel free to distribute it everywhere you
possibly can.
