Speaker 1 (00:00):
I gotta talk about the situation in Cincinnati because it's
it's I mean, what's it take to get to Cincinnati
two hours? Yeah, a little bit less, hid down seventy
five to I mean, it's not a it's not a
big trip. And this weekend, this music jazz fest, a
jazz festival. It wasn't like hardcore hip hop, gangster rap

(00:25):
return of Luther Campbell's to jazz festival and uh and
they just went crazy down there. And a lot of
people are trying to turn it into a racial issue,
which scares the crap out of me because I think,
on you know, a racial level right now, we're just
we're already on pins and needles in this country. Too many,

(00:48):
too many incidents that are not accidents have a lot
of people worried, intimidated, cautious, And I don't want I
don't want that cast upon you know, the state of
Ohio or the lovely city of Cincinnati. But that's how
a lot of people in media are making because it
gets you to click. You see the woman. There was

(01:09):
a man and a woman that I've seen that were
both knocked around pretty badly. Did you watch the videos
of this act? Did you see this. That woman almost
assumed the death position. I mean she scared me.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah, she got completely knocked.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Out, I mean flat out on her back. Just she
was down. And then the guy, I don't even know
if he knew what was coming, but he got knocked down.
Then they drug him around the street a little bit.
And when I say they, I mean those who were

(01:44):
in a frenzy and being violent and all that. Now
here's the thing. The two people who were knocked to
the ground and treated this way both had white skin,
light skin, Caucasian skin, I don't know what they were,
but they did not have dark skin. The people who
were up and beating and dragging and taunting and you know,

(02:07):
y'all shouldn't be here and all that, all had dark skin.
And there are people out there trying to create this
poisonous well about it being racial, I I think, honestly
that was just a matter of circumstance. I don't know
that because it was these two people, I don't know

(02:28):
of any others, and I trust me, there were more
than two white people there, So I don't know. And
if if this was truly a racial situation, don't you
and Zach hell you know, help me. Maybe I'm seeing
it wrong. If this was, you know, everybody who was
black in the crowd going after everybody who was white,

(02:49):
it would be more than just these two cases, wouldn't it.
Wouldn't it have been the larger.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I just seems like a group of friends got mad
and punched people and kicked them when they were down.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Regardless of the race factor.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
It wasn't every black person or black person standing around
or walking by that.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, And I'm thinking if it was a racial issue,
then all the other white people there would have probably
been attacked as well, or at least a good number
of them. So I don't I guess I'm bringing this
up because I need to say. First of all, we
got to be more civilized. Man. I'm sick of seeing
people beating on each other, shooting each other, killing each
other all the time. This is stupid, this is I

(03:29):
don't know what has happened to us. We have Seriously,
we've devolved. It's we're just we're just crazy people and
that has to stop. That has to stop. But secondly,
I'm I'm asking, I'm pleading, I'm begging, don't let don't
let these poison pushers on the Internet, who wants you

(03:52):
to believe that everything is about what color your skin is.
Don't let them poison I don't want to see especially
you know, Columbus is my hometown. I just I don't
want to see it getting any worse. I don't want
to see people looking at Cincinnati, oh man, that's I
get cousins down there, I get family down there or whatever.

(04:14):
And I don't trust any of those white people. I
don't trust any of those black people. I don't trust anything.
Don't please please, don't be that. If anything, let's uh.
I hate to go all George W. Bush or George H. W.
Bush on you, but let's be one of those thousand
points of light. Let's counteract that crap. Because it's not

(04:38):
being talked about, media is not covering it, and that
only allows the crazies on the Internet to turn it
into something more. If this story was all over the place,
they wouldn't feel like you were hiding anything, and they
would not they and have the ammunition that they have online.

(05:04):
And some of these, quite frankly, are some fairly respected
names that I have seen seen on the Internet over
the past twenty four hours, is most especially on Twitter.
I will not call it X because that's a stupid name.
Be better, be better, That's what I'm asking you. In Reno, Nevada,

(05:26):
there was a story this afternoon. Again, I doesn't seem
to be getting too much coverage, and I don't know
that they really have broken this down and deciphered the
story as to what calls did, why it happen, or
anything like that. But I do want to update you
on that, at least as much as I can. And
that was another shooting, open shooting in Reno. Excuse me,

(05:49):
I had to cough. Hang on a second. The call
came in. I believe it's seven forty five this morning.
If I'm not mistaken and I lost that story completely,
do you still have that up the Reno shooting from
this morning?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
I mean I have what the Reno Gazette Journal.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Here we go. Yeah, two dead, several hurts. Government of
outside a Reno casino. We just had this happen in
Las Vegas just not too long ago. And the shooting
happened about seven twenty five am Valet area of the
Grand Sierra Resort and Casino. Northern Nevada District Health Officer

(06:29):
Government Chad Kingsley told CNN. At least two people were dead.
Three had been injured during the shooting. The mayor told
the Reno Gazette Journals some of the injured were in
critical condition and the number of dead could rise. Why
would the mayor say that, I mean, again, yeah, some

(06:50):
of these people that were shattering a coud die. Really
you're laughing at that, But do you see what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
I'm laughing at the absurdity of that, because that is
exactly the wrong thing to say.

Speaker 1 (07:02):
Your job is, mayor, is to instill a sense of
confidence in the citizens in times of tragedy, isn't it.
That's just crazy? The mayor yes, sheminem cond day. Several
people were transported to the hospital, including the suspected shooter.
Police shot the adult male suspect, according to the police
department spokesperson. Chris Johnson, a spokesperson with the Washoe County

(07:26):
Sheriff's Department, said one of their officers had fired shots
as well. Suspects injury condition unknown. Police are using the
public or urging the public stay away from the casino
while they respond to this critical incident. So again, crazy
people doing crazy stuff, watch your back, but don't be
paranoid and speaking of our back, let's go to Michigan

(07:50):
that did you see the weapon? In Michigan, this guy
goes into a Walmart store and start stabbing people. They
say he's got a vodable knife. So I'm thinking, like,
you know, one of those predator to leg holstered machetes.
Did you see the weapon?

Speaker 2 (08:09):
No, it's I'm guessing it's smaller than.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I've got four or five of them in a nightstand.
It's it's a pocket knife. It's a wood grain with
the brass tips on the end. Pocket knife.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
What did he I mean, obviously it's gonna don't get
me wrong, it's dangerous, But.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
That is it.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
What's what? What does he expect to accomplished?

Speaker 1 (08:30):
I mean, he managed to stab six people before anybody
was able to stop it.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
I liked an armed marine veteran stopped him.

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Too, Yes, an arm marine veteran. And I credit the
sheriff of I forget the county, but I was listening
to his audio last night as he was as he
was giving accolades to the citizens, including the armed citizen
that got involved and brought a stop to this. Thank you, sheriff. Sheriffs,

(08:57):
of course, are elected to buy the people and not
servants of the government are appointed by anyone. So it
always makes me happy when I hear sheriff say something
like that. But yeah, the guy who did the stopping,
and let me take you back to Cincinnati. As I said,
don't be paranoid. Don't think, oh no white people, oh no,
black people. Because the guy who did the stopping the marine,
the armed civilian marine who was in Walmart. Did you

(09:20):
see his pictures? Act? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (09:23):
He he doesn't look normal.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
What's he? I don't mean the bad guy, I mean
the marine. Oh I don't know. I haven't seen it. No,
the bad guy looks insane.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
That's gonna say. I was like, what you look here?

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Can you step in front of this for your driver's
license picture? Curl face, ma'am. Yeah, I'd put him on
the road.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
No, I haven't seen.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I believe the guy who stopped him was a dark
complexion to dreadlock wearing civilian marine. So this takes me
back to Cincinnati. Don't get all paranoid, don't get o worried.
Don't say, oh no that person scares me because of
the way they look or anything. Just remember people or
people and good people are good people and bad people
are all over the place. Six people's stat I don't

(10:04):
think any of them are critical or anything like that.
But the weapon of choice a little fold out Daniel
Boone looking pocket knife that every dad in America used
to have when I was a kid. And the point
of putting an emphasis on that is it wasn't a gun,
it wasn't an ar platform, it wasn't a thirty round magazine.

(10:26):
It was something that you probably have in the junk
drawer in the kitchen. Crazy people do crazy things and
jumping on some sort of legislation to outlaw everything under
the sun that scares you because crazy people do. This
time it was a pocket knight, next time it's a
baseball bat. After that, maybe they'll start throwing stuff at you.
Who knows a band on bricks from construction sites are

(10:49):
now considered assault weapons. That's the path we're on.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
I mean, I know that there were some motorcycle gangs
out west that like Hell's Angels, that they weren't allowed
to have guns in any way, shape or form, So
then they just carry around ballpeen hammers.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Yeah, like it's just going to go from one thing
to the next.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
And Frankly, I mean, if I'm gonna get killed by somebody,
if there's no way i'm going to escape one, I'm
going to be killed. Okay, I'd rather take a bullet
than a hammer.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
To the skull, Yeah, because the hammer's usually going to
take a few whack.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Yeah. Plus I won't be pretty at the funeral, and
we don't want that.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
That's true.
