Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, So we didn't get to this I talked
about at the top of the hour. But Josh, apparently
you're allowed to run over police officers and there's no
there shouldn't be any repercussions for that after stealing liquor.
All right. So apparently in Blending Township, if.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
You, if you look the if you, if you look
a certain way, if you have the right skin complexion,
or you have the right attitude, or you, I should say,
lack thereof respect for anybody else in society, feel free
to steal, try to run over a cop, suffer consequences,
and then this is gonna happen, And we as a
(00:39):
society now go.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
Oh, she was a victim, she's a listen.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
Is it sad she's dead? Absolutely? But she made that choice.
Every choice she made led up to the consequences of
her actions, and now we as a society are going
to try to destroy this man's life. I am so
disgusted by the way we treat law enforcement right now
(01:05):
in this area.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
The Franklin County Grand Jury's indictment of Blendon Township officer
Connor Grubb is the fifth time in the last five
years that Franklin County law enforcement officer faced criminal charges
in an on duty shooting. So the indictment on four
counts of murder. Can you believe it's been basically a
year ago? August twenty fourth, twenty twenty three. I didn't
(01:27):
realize it had been a year, just on the side
and I was like, wow, it's already been a year. Yeah,
fatal shooting of Takaya King. She was six months pregnant,
which just throw it just it throws more sadness to
this whole story. Do an unborn is also snuffed out
of this whole situation. And the fact of the matter is,
(01:50):
I don't know that the mom was getting the liquor
for her. I don't know. I guess it's inconsequential why
she was or who it was for, But the fact
that she was six months pregnant, I don't again, if
she was getting it for somebody else, and I don't
know that that's the case. I'm just sitting here spitball
and going, wow, she's six months pregnant. Was the liquor
(02:12):
really for her? Because if she were in fact getting
it for someone else, think about the person that she's
getting it for is partly behind why she's not breathing
air right now. Think about this for a second. You know,
she comes outside, she comes up. I mean the fact
that she's trying to run over a police officer and
he he, you know, shoots her. I don't understand. There's
(02:36):
video of this all day long.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
And if you excuse me, if you are someone who
is six months pregnant and robbing a liquor store, I
don't think you're of the mindset to go. Oh, I
got to make sure I don't drink because the baby.
I mean, it's kind of clear to me that you
don't care about what you do. I I wish that
(03:03):
she was alive. I wish she was holding her infant
right now. But to put the onus on that police
officer and for blending township to cower in the.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Face of all of this. Now, so far, so far.
We'll see how much they defend him now that the
indictment through a disciplinary process. Yeah, the indictments now come down,
So we'll see how hard they vigorously hopefully will defend him.
And his actions look pretty textbook, but again we weren't
standing there. But I will tell you when someone comes
up what they're going to I feel like they're going
(03:39):
to focus on she just toles some liquor. Why did
she have to die? It's like that that has nothing
to do with it. She tried to run over a
police officer. I mean, that's your car is a weapon.
He's trying to go home to his family that night.
He's just trying to I don't you know what. I
don't understand how any officers well to do that job,
(04:01):
and God bless them the ones that do. We've talked
about this a million times. I don't understand what would
implore you to be a cop right now or even
stay in nationally and think about how lopsided everything is
when something like this comes down, especially in Franklin County,
where it's very obvious that Franklin County, the people in
charge of Franklin County, a lot of the residents in
(04:22):
Franklin County hate you and don't want you. Why would
you ever be a live How many Franklin.
Speaker 2 (04:30):
County law enforcement people do we know, dude, Oh my gosh,
me dozens and dozens correct, some of which are very
dear friends. Franklin County hates police officers. This is what
this message sends to me, that you get a quote
unquote grand jury together of Franklin County residents and they're
(04:55):
willing and happy to try and put a cop in
prison for the rest of his life, essentially for how
many counts of murder, for counts of murder for defending
himself after he was almost ran over?
Speaker 1 (05:12):
You what are they supposed to do? What is he
supposed to do? Keep yelling stop? It's like that's what
they said, you know, they were yelling, shut off the car,
get out of the vehicle, shut off, stop stops.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
I guess they should have sent a social worker to
stand in front of the car instead of a cop.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
It's such a head scratcher to me, man, Like, I just.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
I'm so pissed off about this, Like I don't understand
it's it's sick, it's disgusting. I'm embarrassed and ashamed to
say I live in Franklin County today for what we're
doing to this man.
Speaker 1 (05:43):
Well, I guess you're allowed to waive a gun at
officers in the in the case of Casey Goodman, Casey
Goodson Junior, you're allowed to win. You're allowed to try
to run over cops, and they're not allowed to do
anything to you. So just so you know, if you're
involved in any kind of a or something like that,
I guess if you're in Franklin County you're allowed to
(06:03):
do that.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Now this so you know, this wasn't This wasn't like
the guy who, remember he just just started blasting away
at the guy who was in his own garage doing nothing. Well,
that guy that cops in jail rightfully. So this isn't
the situation where the cop opens the door to that
bedroom and a guy sitting there with his vate pen
and a cop puts one in him blast him away
(06:26):
right away.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
These are not even remotely close.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
This was an officer who was about ready to be
run over by someone who.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Just robbed a liquor store.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
And we're gonna cry and whine for her, and we're
gonna condemn this man to hell in prison.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
It's sickening. Travgan Weather
