Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'd like to bring in. He is the founder and
executive director of Power the Future, which is a national
nonprofit organization that advocates for American energy jobs. He's Daniel
Turner and Daniel welcome again to the Mark Blazer Show.
Happy New Year to you. How are you, sir?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
It is great to be on with you. I did
not have root canal. I'm just drunk. So if I
if I start making a mistake, just you know, I'm
not even going to pretend. Man.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
That's fun, you know, and with so many states legalizing weed,
I'm glad you're specifying because sometimes it's hard. It's hard
to tell if someone's high or they're drunk. So I
mean that's good. At least you're kind of specifying exactly
it in here. Good stuff, man. Did you have a
good holiday. Hopefully you got had some time off. You're
(00:50):
a busy guy, man.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, but you know, in addition to having my job
with Power the Future and advocating for energy workers, I
also have a farm and that's another full time job,
so there's really never any time off. But that's all good.
Christmas was wonderful. New Year's is absolutely irrelevant. January first
is just as busy as December thirty first.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I hear you on that man, pretty crazy when we're
seeing all of the things that we're seeing in our
political landscape right now, boy, President Trump, it's promises made,
promises kept. And you can go back to and I
was talking about this last hour with one of my guests,
but you can go back to let's see. January twenty
(01:33):
third of twenty twenty, Biden ends up texting on the
anniversary of a hopeful moment. It's clear Trump's Venezuela policy
is a dead end. Millions are suffering with the Maduro
regimes still in power. And then June twenty first, little
later that year, twenty twenty, Trump talks tough on Venezuela
but admires thugs and dictators like Nicholas Maduro as president,
(01:57):
I will stand with the Venezuelan people and for democracy.
Then you got the left right now going crazy saying, uh,
basically almost kind of giving Maduro a pass. They want
to oust what they're calling a king. There are no kings.
I didn't I didn't elect a king in Trump. But
yet they want this guy who is a king, a
dictator if you will, and they want him cut looser.
(02:20):
They're trying to make a way and say all these
different things. I think this is really interesting the way
this is going to be playing out real time for US.
But in response to Venezuela and the fact that we're
going to be taking control of the oil, the US
will why US control is going to lower gas prices,
the cost of consumer goods, as well as impact China.
(02:42):
Those are the things that are really fascinating about this
whole thing, Daniel, And I know you got the you got,
you got the the four to one one on that.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Yeah, especially the third one which is impacting China. And
we're not gonna get gas prices that much lower than
where they currently are, and they're pretty low. There are
I think fourteen or fifteen places in America where it
hit a below two dollars a gallon, So gas is
pretty pretty low, and it would be great if it's
stay this way. Don't get me wrong. But what's really
(03:12):
valuable about this China or that this Venezuela action is
what it does to communist China. The Chinese don't have
a domestic oil supply. They have to import all of it,
and they import it from Russia. Well, Russia is having
a bit of a problem right with gas prices at
oil prices at fifty seven or so dollars a barrel,
they're running out of money and so they're not able
(03:33):
to continue to finance their war. So Russia is having
a problem. China gets its oil from Iran. Well, we
have huge sanctions on Iran right now and oil is
not getting out of there. Plus they're in the middle
of their own revolution, which isn't really getting the media
coverage it deserves. And then the other big place they
get their oil, China gets its oil as Venezuela. And
now there's a blockade. So if your chairman g and
(03:56):
you see the tariff that Trump has on you for
your your Chinese exports. You see we've stopped buying your
crappy wind and solar. You see, American manufacturing is moving
out of China, hopefully back to America. And now you
have an oil blockade. You you've got to be dropping
egg rolls in your pants, right, You've got to be
(04:18):
really nervous because you are running out of the fuel
to to finance not just your economy, but your military,
your industry, uh, your your communist dreams. So I think
what President Trump is doing is he's he's launching a
strategic war on China without even saying the word. You know.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Also one of the things too, I was reading about
some of the information that you sent me was that
it's not necessarily for American assets as far as Venezuela's oil,
and you were you're kind of laying that out here.
It's it's more for harming America's adversaries, which China of
course is one, and then Russia. I mean, is there
is there any other thing or those are just kind
(04:59):
of the center pieces, if you will, as to you know,
where it's going to move as we go forward.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
They really are the centerpieces. And you know, there's that
expression that all that the hippies are walking around DC
now with their signs no blood for oil, And of
course the first part I don't want to see war.
I don't want to see one more American soldier have
to die. But yes oil, you know, and I put
on my social media account, no blood for oil is
(05:26):
as sophomoric and stupid a slogan as diversity as our
strength right and left. The hippie slogans are going to
get us killed. So no, I don't want blood, but yes,
I want oil. I want America to control all the
world's oil, because when when Iran has oil, they attack Israel.
When Russia has a lot of oil, they attack Ukraine
(05:48):
and threaten all of Western Europe. Right, I want to
control the oil. So to stand there and say no
blood for oil, no blood for oil, I want to
see America's enemies begin to suffer and we that is
good for world peace. And so, you know, Maduro should
have been taken out for long ago for the crimes
he committed again this country, mostly for the tens of
(06:10):
thousands of trendy Aragua terrorists he deliberately sent here to
rape and murder and steal, and Joe Biden should be
held accountable for letting them in the country to begin with.
But that was an act of war against America that
a loan should have had his takeout Maduro. But if
at the same time we can control the oil, and
can yes, control the oil, control the oil, control the world.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Daniel Turner's joining me now, founder and executive director of
Power the Future. This is also I wondered if you're
so connected with all these things, and obviously it's it's
one hundred percent your business and what you do. Obviously
you're you talked about farming as well. But a time
frame as far as Trump has a chip on his shoulder,
(06:54):
this is some stuff that you had set because America
has helped rebuild the world's industry and now being used again.
If America oil companies go in and rebuild, of course
it's going to be great for Venezuela and their long
term prosperity. But we're putting America first, There's no question
about that. If there's nothing anybody has learned about one
Donald John Trump, it's that America first is his goal
(07:16):
in every facet of the way that he governs. It
just is we're doing it on foreign soil. Now, possibly,
do you have any kind of an idea as far
as the timeframe with regard to American oil companies going
in and rebuilding, as it's just antiquated what is currently
there in the Venezuela area.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Correct, Yes, an antiquated infrastructure that needs refurbishing, et cetera
and modernizing is a heck of a lot faster than
starting from scratch. And so you know, I think within
a year, maybe a year and a half, you can
see Venezuela's oil industry turnaround. Now. I think a peak
they were only producing around two and a half three
(07:58):
million barrels a day. That's nothing compared to the thirteen
fourteen million that we produce here in America. Right, So
it's going to take a lot of time to hit
these incredible numbers of ten million barrels a day. But
you know, just just producing a couple of million barrels
a day. And I love the way the President laid
it out. Once these companies, you know, reimburse themselves, then
(08:20):
then the Venezuela and people will profit. We're not doing
charity anymore, right, We're not going into the world and
rebuilding them so that they can then come and attack us.
We'll go in there and will help rebuild your country,
but we are going to benefit from it as well.
And that is America first, you know. And I'm fifty one.
My entire life, I've watched little peddy tyrant dictators make
(08:44):
fun of America and we are just told you have
to take it. Remember when mab Mudam a Dinizad came
to speak at the UN and he held anti America
rallies and everyone and George Bush was like, well, that's
just diplomacy. Right. Remember when Iran took took sailors hostage
and Barack Obama waved his fist and said that's wrong.
Trump says, you know what we're gonna do. We're gonna
(09:05):
We're gonna take you out. And if you're a bunch
of of of militant Muslims attacking Christians in Nigeria, We're
just gonna blow you up on Christmas Day, right, that's easy.
We're just going to kill you. And if you're a
little petty, tyrant dictator of Venezuela and you're launching attacks
against America, We're just going to kidnap you in the
in the night and while you're asleep and bring you
(09:27):
to America for justice. I kind of love the the
the the chip on his shoulder. I kind of love
the the might is right because America is right and
we're the good guy. And I think that the days
of us getting kicked in the teeth by people like
Kim Jong un or Mama Dinizjad or Ugo Chavez or
any of these people, those days are coming to an end.
(09:49):
And that is good for the world, and that's good
for prosperity.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
You are one hundred percent correct. Daniel Turner, Founder and
executive director of Power the Future. Daniel, thank you very
much man, Happy new year. Thank you for jumping on
with us and uh, you know, lending your expertise in
this area. Where can people go to read about it
if they want to further you know, kind of reread
some of the stuff we were talking about or so on.
I'm guessing you have a website people can visit.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yes, Powerthefuture dot com. You can check everything out there
or follow me on on my social Daniel Turner PTF.
And it's always a pleasure to be on with you, gentlemen.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
