Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's a perfect powerball winning weather. When you say yes, I.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Don't care if it's eighteen feet of snow outside the door,
it's a good power ball day.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
That's a good point if you're going to win it.
That is three hundred and sixteen million cash option over
seven hundred million dollars up for grabs.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
Mm hmmm.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
So the offer is still there. Boys. Uh, you know,
I if I win this thing, but uh, you know,
one in two hundred and eighty two million or something
like that, somebody, somebody's got to win. Yes, I know absolutely.
I always subscribe to that because people will look at
me sideways like are you really spending money? And I'm like, yes,

(00:39):
why wouldn't I someone's gonna win, you know, Uh, I'm
no quitter. They say, you know you had you were
interestingly enough, we were off the air. You were mentioning
something about coach Prime or Dion Sanders if you will, yes,
and the stuff that's uh, and it was basically you

(01:00):
were you were kind of alluding to with Shador and
then how many he's how many kids does he have
playing football? I think at least too, I think there's
just the two the two boys. Yea, yeah, but as
much fun if as we've made. Oh you brought up
Eric Dickerson saying former running back.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
Yeah, making the claim that the NFL teams have been
told not to not to draft should standard yea, yeah,
which I don't believe that. That's so conspiratorial. And look,
it's all about money. If they look at him and
think he's going to bring wins to the team, that
they're taking him, right, And I just I can't see
there being any validity to that story at all.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I don't think there is either. I feel also like
there's no way you keep that under wraps. If every
team was contacted and they were like, do not draft?
Are you kidding? There's so many people that would have
blown the whistle so fast on that.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
That's why I said, it's it's too Kaepernick, Like, it's like,
you know, there's a conspiracy to keep me out of
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
No, you just suck, yeah, you know, or you're a distraction.
Matter of fact, if you were good enough, nobody can
stop you.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
You know.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
I heard I had a boss say that to me
a long time ago in radio, saying, if you're good enough,
nobody can technically stop you. You will come your your
ability comes shining through, and it sure does in the NFL.
Never a truer statement if you're a distraction Colin Kaepernick.

(02:28):
If you're a distraction and you're not, why what team
would open up their checkbook to you and give you whatever?
If you're not, You've got to be worth actually, especially
starting out, you got to keep your head down and
just be quiet. You know who gets away with activity
like that, possibly maybe halfway through his career would have
been a Tom Brady or somebody that can call and

(02:51):
guess what. What's funny about that is they're never the
ones doing of course not you know why, because they're
they know how to act. Stop acting like an idiot. Anyway.
I brought all of this up because I thought this
is very positive what coach Prime has done. And this
audio just struck me. I said, I got this is

(03:13):
such a positive thing and there's been a lot of
negativity with the Sanders clan, and I was like, you know,
I gotta bring this audio to life on the air
because I heard him talking and I think this is
so great. I even said to Zach, you know before
the show, he reminds me of Bill Cosby with regard

(03:34):
to except for not not the Bill Cosby that may
have doctor drinks and took advantage of girls. Not that part,
just the part where you know doctor Cosby has basically
been like, be a father, be around for your kids,
have a job, have some respect for yourself, pull your
pants up, stop with the idiocy, blah blah blah. And

(03:57):
he was talking to black males. Correct. I mean when
you say Cosby, that was his message for the longest time.
And this is this is kind of Cosby esque with
regard to that message. But I thought it was great.
This is coach Prime and he's firming up his players
as they get ready to embark on another season of
college football at Colorado. Listen to this.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
We started school within win being tomorrow. No slides. If
I see you with I'm gonna send people to campus tomorrow.
If I see you with slides on campus, it's gonna
be a problem. If I see you with a hoodie
own in class or some headphones on in class, it's
gonna be a problem.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
If I see you sit in.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
The back of the class room, it's gonna be a problem.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
And if you're online and you.

Speaker 3 (04:41):
Have online classes and you don't have a shirt on
or you got a wife beat on, or you have
some stupid on because of the distraction, or you walk around
doing that online session, it's gonna be a problem.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Were good with that, guys, I love it. I love it.
He's firming them up. No slides, you know, no uh
you know, no headphones with your with your hood up
over your headphones in the back of the class. If
the if you're a distraction is going to be a problem,
I love it.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Man. You remember Tressaero when the guys would get off
the bus or the plane or whatever, and they're all
wearing their suits and they look good. They still, for
the most part, look decent. But I honestly, I hate
to see the headphones. I don't know, they just look
like a bunch of children with with suits on. I
hate to see those headphones. But that the whole everything

(05:29):
you do or don't do, or accomplish, or strive for
or are known for, begins with personal dignity. If you
do not wake up, look in the mirror and see
somebody you respect, nobody else respects you.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
That's fantastic point. Fantastic point. But that audio right there
says a lot to me. Yes, that speaks that speaks.
That spoke to me man when I heard that today,
and I was like, good for you, Dion doing that.
Good for you. If he's doing that with his players,
he's got to be doing that with his kids, you
would think, right, And I wonder you it's a little

(06:06):
bit of a head scratcher with Chadour, and I get
he's trying to instill greatness or legendary. He's trying to
instill that. I understand that part, so it didn't make
sense to me that he had a draft room built.
But at the same time, he's trying to go you're special.
He's been telling them. I'm sure from very very young

(06:28):
you're special, your special, you're special, you're someone, You're special,
you're better, you're better than the average athlete, and all
of it. I guarantee all those things have been said.
I hope it translates for him. I hope the Browns
in Chador have something amazing happened. I really do, because
it sounds like Dion is a good dude.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
I always tried to avoid big head syndrome into this
day with even with the grandkids, I won't tell them
they're awesome, they're amazing. You can be I want them
to know you can be amazing. It's got to work,
but yes, there's something involved. You got to get there.
It doesn't just your breathing doesn't make you amazing. You
have to go out there and do something right.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
That's good Man, great message and good on Coach Prime
doing this. No slides. If you're a distraction, it's going
to be a problem. If you're this, it's gonna be
a problem. I love it. I think it's good man,
I think it's really good.
