(00:00):
Jd Vance is President Trump's vice presidentrunning mate for this Trump Vance twenty twenty
four I tell you, the meteoricrise of jd Vance is a story unlike
any I have ever seen in politics. Astounding. I mean, we go
from Mitch McConnell insulting. Well,it's even stranger. Now, let's go
(00:21):
back to like twenty fourteen, twentyfifteen, early twenty sixteen. He was
not jd Vance was a never Trumper. That's crazy, man, but not
because he thought Trump was a charlton. He thought Trump was just saying that,
yeah, and then he said, after about a year of his first
term, I realized I was completelytotally dead wrong about the man. So
(00:44):
you go, I want you tothink about this. You're basically crap talking
to him on national television. Yougo from that to here we are ten
years later, you're about to becomehis vice president of the United States.
Crazy. You couldn't his book thatthey made into a movie Hillbilly ELEGI yeah,
(01:07):
ELG whateverg He You couldn't write anovel and script it any weirder than
the rise of jd Vance, whohas been, by the way, nothing
but a kick ass senator for thestate of Ohio, and you want to
talk about another guy who we werelike, Oh, I don't know jd
Vance. I don't know that manhas kept his word and more for the
(01:30):
state of Ohio, what he's donefor East Palestine. Yeah, I love
that jd Vance. God bless you, good luck brother. I can't wait
till you're our next vice president. It's really, really, really cool.
She is media commentator for Americans forProsperity and Newsmax, and she is live
at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee. Meheck, welcome to the show.
(01:51):
Thank you for joining us. Thankyou so much for having me. What
an exciting time to be in Ohio. In Man, we're watching footage.
Are you on the floor, whereare you exactly? I am on the
floor. I was watching all therole calls, and we truly thought that
President Trump was going to speak alittle later and officially announced Jade Vance.
(02:15):
But you know, he's surprised uson true social So I really think this
is a surprise to many. ButI think Ohio and see deep down that
he was somebody that is going tobring a lot of Swing states home and
a lot of the working class people. He truly fights for everybody and you
can see that based on his recordso far in the Senate. So it's
(02:38):
been an exciting time to be inohioan for sure, and I truly think
he's going to unify the party aswell. Yeah, gosh for you to
be in the center of the politicaluniverse right now, I mean, biggest
story in well, we did themath earlier forty two years or so,
I guess we could say biggest politicalstories. President Reagan was shot. Happened
(03:01):
on Saturday in Butler, Pennsylvania,Butler County. There and gosh to be
at the Republican National Convention, andyou know, I felt too. And
tell me what you think as youwere preparing to go there, meheck and
be a part of this. Whenyou when all of this went down on
Saturday, were you thinking, oh, no, I don't know that this
(03:23):
can continue forward the Republican National Convention. But when you see Trump doing what
he did, which is you know, pumping his fist and saying fight,
fight, you know to the crowd, he's got blood on him. The
guy gets shot, he wants tokeep speaking, he wants to keep talking
to the crowd there. I meanto watch this play out the way that
it did. What were you thinkingabout as far as the Republican National Convention.
(03:49):
Look, I think that a lotof people were truly shocked about what
happened, and many of us weren'tbecause we have seen a lot of inciting
of violence from the other side.President Biden said bullseye for President Trump on
July eighth. So for Trump toget up at that rally after being shot
(04:10):
tells you a couple of things. He's unscripted, he's a warrior, and
he wanted to tell America that hewas okay, especially because you have to
look around. There's not a singlebystander that ran. They all stood there
strong with President Trump. So Iam truly impressed by President Trump's stamina as
(04:30):
he has continued to persevere, andfor him to say I'm going to the
r and C and nobody's going tostop me. I mean, he's here,
the delegates are here, the alternates, the media. I've met journalism
students from across the country that areso eager to tell the truth about what's
happening. It's just been his story. My head Cook is joining us live
(04:51):
from the RNC right now in Milwaukee, where were you Saturday? This is
going to be one of those momentsin time, the heck that you'll look
back the rest of your life andpeople will say, where were you when
President Trump was shot during his rally? Where were you? So? Where
were you Saturday? What were youdoing when you found out? What do
(05:13):
you remember? Were you watching it? So, Mark, You're not going
to believe this, But I amon Fox News and I am on several
shows, but I've never done aweekend show. And I finally got an
opportunity to be on with Shannon Greenright before President spoke. So I spoke
about unity. I spoke about unionworkers coming around President Trump because he's the
(05:36):
only one that could bring economic prosperity. And I talked about safety and security.
And right after that interview there wasa break. President Trump came on
and I put my phone down,I turned off the TV. I turned
down the TV. It was onthe background, and I looked at my
two children under two, and Isaid, I'm going to feed you.
(05:56):
I was just on Fox News andthey're all both looking back at me,
and I swear for ten minutes, just took a mindful break, and I
looked up and it was fourror onmy TV screen and my phone. I
had missed about fifteen phone calls, and I panicked and I rewound what had
happened. And it's almost like Itook my eye off that ball for just
(06:19):
a minute, and it felt likeeternity. Former President Trump saying it was
a miracle that he was alive. And he spoke to a couple of different
outlets, saying, I'm not supposedto be here, I'm supposed to be
dead. Of course, the bulletgrazing his ear. Had he not turned
his head, we all know itis. We've seen it over and over.
(06:41):
Had he not turned his head alittle bit to the right, this
would have been a very different conversationthat we're having right now. He explained.
How about the him saying you wantedto get his shoes, He said
he got hit so hard from theSecret Service that he his shoes came off.
Yeah, And to watch that playout and say, my shoes are
tight as well, but they cameoff, well, I mean that whole
(07:05):
sequence was surreal. Number One,how long it took that. First of
all, forget the logistics of theworld's biggest screw up in the history of
the Secret Service, but the logisticsof how long they took him to get
off that stage and then you're right, he says, he puts his shoes
on, and then the fist pumpingand dude, one of the top five
(07:28):
most iconic pictures in American history asfar as I'm concerned, of him with
blood smeared all over his face, fist rays in the American flag behind him,
as the Secret Services rushing him offthe stage. That photographer, that
ap photographer, whoever that guy is, or I think it was Reuter's actually
whoever it was New York Times eventhough it was IT time, pretty sure
I had heard it Reuters, Ithought. But either way, yeah,
(07:49):
either way, that guy, dude, he's a millionaire. That's his image
and he has sold it all overI mean, the heck when you all
that, and you think when theAmerican people saw that picture and everything that's
taken place in nine years of he'sgoing to destroy democracy. He's the biggest
threat to democracy. He's going toruin the world. Maxine getting their face
(08:15):
waters and others. I mean,do you think that this event Mack is
going to Because I think I've talkedto people who were not a hardcore ultra
magnet like I am. But I'mtelling you they were fence sitting. They're
no longer on the fence. Mehck, they're voting for President Trump. Well,
they're not fence sitting because they trulysaw what Presidents Trump was saying was
(08:37):
true. All along. Democrats triedto get him by destroying his businesses,
trying to put him in jail, trying to convict him, trying to take
down his family. I mean,it's just continued, one after the other,
and you continue to see what happenswith law Fair. It's backfired,
and he continued to say he wasgoing to win. This shows me everything
(08:58):
you needed to know that he waswhite all along. I'll tell you what
the she's media commentator for Americans forProsperity and Newsmax. Maheck Cook is joining
us. She is live at theRepublican National Convention in Milwaukee. And the
hits keep coming for President Trump. And look by hits, I mean he
is here with us today. Itwas divine intervention. I believe that.
(09:22):
And then how about the news todaywhere you know Judge Cannon granted Trump's motion
to dismiss the trial for the classifieddocs case. She throws it out special
counsel Jack Smith. It was theappointment of him was unlawful, unconstitutional.
I mean, this has been Thishas been some seriously good news in an
(09:43):
otherwise could have been a very verydark situation. You know, this was
one of the toughest cases. Butwe have to remember what this was about.
It was about documents and handling adocument. And one of the legal
arguments that was made by President Trump'steam is that the Attorney General did not
have the authority to nominate a specialcounsel. It has to go through the
(10:05):
Senate. You do not get torun a dictatorship when you're in government.
You have to follow the worl oflaw. And that's exactly what Judge Eileen
stated. The Supreme Court actually talkedabout this in the presidential immunity case,
and Judge Eileen took that excerpt andapplied it to this case and said,
you've got to follow the role oflaw. It's very white and blass here.
It is a huge victory for PresidentTrump, amongst so many others,
(10:28):
including by the grace of God anddodging that bullet. So take us through
what you're feeling right now. Itlooks electric. Everybody looks like they're having
the time of their lives. LikeI said, we have it on it
is live where we have it onFox News and we're watching live coverage of
the Republican National Convention. There onthe floor. Take us through what it
(10:50):
feels like, the type of excitement, the announcement, jade events where a
lot of people happen. Was therea lot of cheering? I would imagine
there was. There was a lotof cheering, a lot of people saying
I told you so, which makesme laugh. I think that Don Junior
definitely dropped the mega hints, andI really believe that there's excitement and there's
(11:11):
hope. As you see delegates today, they are truly standing, They're proud,
they're representing their states. They havesome great one liners, like I
heard South Dakota they talked about howPresident Trump brought fireworks back. I mean,
there's so much enthusiasm to give theirvote and honored President Trump. So
(11:33):
I actually had to step out.It was so loud, full of excitement,
full of unity, full of individualssaying that I get everything I could
to make it to stand up andhonor President Trump and vote for him.
As part of my delegation. It'sbeen wild. That's very very cool.
Media commentator for Americans for Prosperity andNewsmax My Heck Cook, who is live
