Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, thank you, thank you for listening, thank you for
letting us ride Shotgun home with you. Appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Happy New Year, I and look, I guess today. I
was just told last hour, today's the last day.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
You're supposed to be saying that. As of the fifth
of January, you're no longer to say happy. You can't
say it. You are not allowed to tell people.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Happy New Year after today.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Just know that even if you haven't seen him in
a long time. But I'm going to keep saying it.
Since I'm out of time today, I'll just keep saying
it all the way to.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
The end of the show.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Vice President jd Vance was saying some crazy person damaged
his Cincinnati home. He said, I appreciate everyone's well wishes
about the attack on our home. As far as I
can tell, a crazy person tried to break in by
hammering the windows, and I'm grateful to the Secret Service
the Cincinnati Police for responding quickly. And in twenty twenty three,
(00:55):
this guy's name is four and he was granted treatment
in lieu of conviction, and that treatment was still ongoing.
According to a prior incident vandalism charge. In twenty twenty four,
broke out windows out of business in Hyde Park, and
so that case was referred to a mental health docket
(01:17):
and he was granted, like I just said, treatment in
lieu of conviction. But in twenty three he was charged
with trespassing at the UC Health Psychiatric Emergency Services. He
was found incompetent to stand trial then, and the case
was referred to the Hamilton County Probate Court. But I'm
glad JD. They weren't even there, and he and his
wife and the kids, they weren't there in the home
(01:40):
in that area. So yeah, glad to hear that everything's
okay there. But man, have you seen the amount of
people in in our You know, it just seems like
you would never see this kind of a story or
the stories that were seeing with Trump. You wouldn't see
(02:01):
that based on a vice president and a president ten
years ago, fifteen years ago, you never saw that. Of course,
I guess doxing is easier now, so it's easier to
find out where people live. So but when I see that,
I'm like, that is terrifying. If you're somebody like him.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
It is it is. And you know you knew he
wasn't home because you know, had he been, it probably
would not have ended.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Well, yeah, that guy would have probably gotten.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Smoked Marines marine. Yeah, I'm just saying that. Well, you're
an idiot. I mean, not only it's a vice president
of the United States. Yeah, but if he were home
with no security, he'd beat just senseless. You gotta be stupid.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Absolutely, Congressman Jim Jordan is joining us now. And Happy
New Year, Congressman.
Speaker 4 (02:53):
I was gonna say the same to you since since
you officially said today is the last day we can
say it. Happy New Years you guys. Hope you're Chris
Smith's season was was was great with with your family
and all. But yeah, happy New Year. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
I was told, I guess last hour. We're not allowed
to say it after the fifth of January. Chuck told
me that was the dates, So I guess, wow, I said, well, okay,
I guess we can.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
Lay down the law.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Ye, it's in the book man.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Yeah, we haven't. We haven't spoken for you know, a
couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
But hopefully you had a good a good holiday as well,
and you were able to to recharge some Congressman because
you're busier than a one legged man in a butt
kicking contest.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
Well, we're uh, we're back in DC, and I've done
a couple of different TV things. He the last couple
of days relative to this, uh to the action President
Trump and amazing military took uh with with bringing mister
Maduro to to justice. So yeah, I always busy, but
I don't pretend I'm any busier. And guys running an
amazing radio show like you guys do every day. Uh
(03:56):
the but yeah, it's good to good to be back
in the act. When you get some time off, I'm
always like, I don't know. I guess it's because you know,
so many of us guys have add and I got
to get back to work doing some things here. So
glad to be back in DC and working for the
taxpayers of the fourth District.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Color me not surprised to hear you say that, because
you just come off as somebody who is like, you know,
I don't need any time off, or if you do,
it's very little, and you're like, no, no, I got
I got to get back to work. There's so many
people that do this kind of thing for a living
as far as this side too, are like that. I
am not one of those people, Congressman. I am listen.
(04:34):
I'm like, I'm fighting every contract to add time off.
I'm like, I need more, I need another week. I'm
a new contract, just.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Guess because you just you just want to break eighty
every time you play.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
That's that's what That's what that's.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
All about, right, I suppose.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
But that the biggest thing is you know, this is
because of what you know, this thing that I do
every single day that none of it is manufactured. This
is my life, this is what I do, this is
what I read, this is what I watch every day,
this is how I feel. The stuff that I talk
about on the air, none of it is manufactured. I
am not an actor, and as a result, it drains me. Man,
(05:12):
and I you're the same way. I mean, you're you're
out there fighting for liberty and justice and all of
those things, and it just I don't know, man, it
takes its toll on me.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I'm like, I need to be brain dead for a
couple of weeks.
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Yeah, well no, that's why. But that's why your show
is good because people know it's it's you. It's it's
not manufactured, it's not fake, it's not phony, it's it's
the real stuff. And that's why people appreciate it. So
I appreciate you having me on every week. Gives me
a chance to talk to the good people in the
fourth District and uh, and and laugh at a few
things every once in a while, because you always start
off whenever I come on, and you're always talking about
(05:45):
something different, right, I think it's so funny.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
Well, I was like, I was saying to myself, like,
all right, so what can I do this week? And
and there's like there's so many there's so many things
I could have done there.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
But then I thought, you know, we haven't had a
chance to just.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Say, hey, JD, you know, glad, everything's okay, Glad You're okay,
glad and that, and just to throw that story in there.
And I figured you probably you know, had heard about
that or what have you. But you brought up Maduro
to a little bit ago. He pleaded not guilty. He
and his wife right pleaded not guilty earlier today. And
(06:19):
I saw the I saw the caption I'm watching during
the last break Congressman, and it said does this was
on Fox News during Will Kine shows like does Venezuela
the Mission serve America First? And I'm like, damn, straight
it does you know, It's like that is an easy
question to answer. There are so many Once again, you've
(06:40):
got all these crazy left on the wrong side of history.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yet again it happens.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Over and over and over, and it feels like if
the same people that voted for President Trump are still
paying attention, this should be a slam dunk coming up
here at the end in November this year. It should
be a slam dunk. But we all know it's not
going to play out that way. And uh, but your
thoughts on this whole thing with Maduro being taken being yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Mean, look, bringing the guy to justice who wasn't recognized
as the head of the state of Venezuela by by
the Trump administration, and frank think the Biden administration, who's
head of a narco terrorist criminal operation, who has a
five year arrest warrant pending, who is playing foot seat
with Iran in China in our hemisphere. That's somehow a
(07:28):
bad thing, Like I don't I don't get it. And
and it's amazing to me that God bless our military, Uh,
the courage and the precision and just the way they
conducted this thing when no no one, no one lost life.
There was a couple, according to the President and Joined
Chiefs Chairman, the Joint Chiefs, there were some some couple
(07:48):
of the individuals who would sustained some injuries but not
life threatening. It looks like, so this is amazing. So
but yeah, the left wants to just criticize this. I
actually think and I said this on CNN yesterday, I
actually think most of their could appreciate the fact that
our president projects strength from the Oval Office and takes
decisive action that benefits Americans and frankly people all over
(08:09):
the world. So that's what to me, that's what this was.
And you contrasted, I said this to you, contrasted with
with Joe Biden, who, let I mean, who didn't take
decisive action, who led a Chinese spy balloon fly clear
across our country before he shot it down. There's I
don't know anyone who like I think you guys would
(08:30):
have shot it down. We know Trump would have shot
it down like the idea that he did. So that
to me is the contrast that the left misses. But
the American people.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
Get the rhetoric from the Biden administration is already coming
back to bite him on the butt. I mean, that's
social media world now that the quotes from Joe Biden
about how he stood with the Venezuelan people, and even
Eric Adams took the social media today to point out
the fact that this guy had Warren for his arrest.
During the Biden administration, he was named this, this and
(08:59):
this and this. They never did anything. Donald Trump made
something happen. Ye, this the narrative. You cannot control this
when even the people on your side of the fence
are saying, yeah, we didn't get it done yet.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
And the people of Venezuela are very happy.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
They're celebrating, and the.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Leftist Americans are protesting while Venezuela vote freedom. Yeah, we're
kind of like in this.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Yeah, and this is and this is I think entirely
consistent with the Article two powers the president has the
Commander in chief has under our Constitution, entirely consistent with
the War Powers Resolution, statutory law, constitutional law, and frankly
consistent with history from James Monroe to Teddy Roosevelt to JFK.
(09:45):
This is about our hemisphere and the Monroe Doctrine. So yeah,
I think I think all that the American people get, uh,
and we'll see how this this unfolds over the next
several several days and weeks. But I think right now
the where can people rightly get and appreciate what the
President's done?
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, Trump was saying. President Trump was saying Congress was
not told ahead of time because lawmakers quote have a
tendency to leak unquote.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
And so I was.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
Reading that Senate to vote on war powers resolution this week,
they're set to vote on whether or not to block
President that's going nowhere, I you know, gosh, anyway taking
further action in Venezuela without congressional approval bipartisan warpower. And
you kind of reference this just now. But you know,
you got Chuck flapping his gums, Schumer flapping his this
(10:36):
is this is so every single thing that President Trump
does now just you know, you just go okay, start running,
start doing what you say and what you say say
you know, and then people just dig up the stuff.
Like Chuck pointed out, with social media, we can go
back as far as you want and incite plenty of
people on your side who are all about this. Until
(10:57):
then it's President Trump who x acutes everything and now
it's everything's bad that you were saying from before. It
it just introduces for people who may not have been
introduced to it, the two face, you know, the fact
that the way that they try to operate, it's ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
I think again, the country appreciates when the president takes
decisive action because they know it's in the benefit of
our country and frankly, as I said before, I think
it benefits the world. So President Trump doesn't get the
Hamas to release the hostages back to Israel if he
first doesn't take out in the Iran's nuclear capability, I mean,
it just doesn't happen. He doesn't get the Abraham Accords
(11:36):
in his first term if he doesn't first put the
embassy in Jerusalem. He doesn't get the NATO countries, the
European countries to do more for NATO. If he doesn't
go in there and show leadership and say you guys
got you gotta do more. I mean, he gets results.
And again I think I think the country appreciates that
versus what they had with Biden. I mean, I chuck
point out the tweet this is back in June twenty twenty,
back during the campaign then that the previous campaign said
(11:59):
Trump talks tough on Venezuela, but the Meer Suggs like
Maduro as president, I will stand with the Venezuelan people.
He didn't do anything. He didn't do anything except let
a Chinese five blue fly across the country except have
that debacle which she called the exit from Afghanistan. So
that again, I think the country understands.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
All that, and that Eric Adams quote, the black Democrat,
former mayor of New York City. His quote was on
January ten, twenty twenty five, the Biden Harris administration put
a twenty five million dollar bounty on Nicholas Moduo for
information leading to his arrest or conviction. Public safety is
not a political game. You do not label someone a
narco dictator one year then pretend he's no longer a
(12:37):
threat the next simply because a different pressure is in office.
It's cynical and irresponsible.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
I thought, well, and is Kamala is still going to
try to collect that, you know, and say hey, I
was instrumental in helping him.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (12:51):
I think what did the president say at the Don't
let anyone claim it we took the action. Don't let
anyone claim it the what's it? A twenty five million,
now fifty million, I think now, but yeah, it was
I think overall is just it was a you know,
amazing operation by our military and appropriate action by our community.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
The Costa Rican president is piping up a. We're not
scared of nothing down here. We got the boy and
the president. President Trump's always you've got cocaine factories, you
should probably be concerned. So he you know, right, Cuba
is like, we will defend Venezuela to your Cuba. Shut up.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Yeah exactly, Yes, well, I mean and and remember, like
I think that again, the good families I get the
privilege of representing, they appreciate the President trying to stop
drugs coming into our into our state, into our country.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
We all know families who've had just terrible things happen
because of the drugs in China. Like I said, down
there in China, what it's done with Sentinel and what
the cocainea all this stuff is Like, I think again,
I think the country appreciates what the President's.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Trying to do.
Speaker 1 (14:00):
Very good. Uh now begins the countdown to where it
warms up and we can tee it up. Congressman, right,
I mean, that's that's the weird.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
We're counting down.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Oh, we're starting to add, like, I don't know, ten
seconds of daylight every day.
Speaker 4 (14:12):
Now we get there.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
It's the small little things that we kind of work
for to try to get back to. So Congressman Jim Jordan,
thank you so much and happy to do your thanks brother,
see you man,
