Speaker 1 (00:00):
So I kind of forgot. But Amazon controls the Bond franchise,
as in James Bond, and I'd forgotten about this.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
But did you know that? They did not know that?
And that news has me a little shaken, not stirred.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Well, I see what you did there the prime video
removing the altered James Bond artwork after a massive backlash.
What is with everybody wants to change Cracker Barrel. I mean,
we can go to a whole list see.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
The altered James Bond artwork. What do you mean?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Well, they listened to the backlash over some James Bond artwork,
and so they opt to to scrub guns and women
from the film's artwork.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
What the hell James Bond is guns and women, that's
pretty much the franchise.

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Well, I guess they were trying to what's the what's
the word there? I don't even know. They were just
trying to take all of that away.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Here's an idea. If you don't want to see a
movie with guns and women and it don't watch a
James Bond movie, why do you have to sanitize it
for those of us that like it as it's sanitized?

Speaker 1 (01:06):
That's the word I was looking for Thank you. The
online rage was immediate. So now they backtracked. They deleted
the updates and the original artwork is now replaced by
stills from those, but there's still no guns in them.
Amazon's not commenting.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
This is one of the reasons I want to have
DVDs of any film I care about, because all these
streaming services are doing that.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
They're altering them. Yes, they're changing history.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yes, I can't imagine Blazing Saddles has probably rated G
on the streaming version.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
Probably you were probably correct. Congressman Jim Jordan is joining us.
Now you a James Bond fan, Congressman.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
I mean, I mean, think about it. Bud Light, cracker, barrel,
James Bond. The left is ZH for three because it's
all coming back to where it was just for I mean,
I think common sense is gonna win out in the end.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Guys, I hope so, I hope you're right, although we're
not seeing it on display today. With regard to I guess,
I guess well, and I guess the judge the Portland
thing like the one gal oh dag gone it. I
had so much stuff here, oh here it is. Karen
Immergut District judge said during a highly unusual late night

(02:18):
emergency hearing that you know what President Trump tried to
do was kind of do the end around the ropodope,
the loop D loop. I guess, you know, by by
changing up where the National Guard were coming from.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
You say, your name was Karen, Karen, It sure is.
She's a trumpet point.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
I know she is.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
And that's the thing that's even a bigger head scratcher here.
I'm sure you know the whole story, but she was.
She's talking about she was troubled by the administration attempting
to work around her earlier court order. What is it
with these judges? It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Congress, Yeah, I don't know. And it's again, I always
just come back to where the common sense, like this
this situation in whether it's Chicago or Portland. I mean,
this statement that if they actually didn't allow the police
to help the federal law enforcement, the ice agents, that's
that's unbelievable. I mean, it seems like that those are
the facts priskers out there saying the things he said.

(03:19):
I just do not understand why governors, why mayors of
these in these Democrat run areas, don't want the help
or the crime that's out of control and everything else.
But when you're attacking an ICE facility and they ask
for help and you don't allow help to come, if
that's really what happened, and it seems like that's the case,
that is as wrong as.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
It can That's the Chicago story I was telling you
about earlier. It looked like they called for Chicago police
to back them up with the protesters attacking, and it
looks like the order came from on high to do
not assist.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Oh, those are peaceful protests, chuck. You you didn't hear
about that. It's peaceful. Yeah, it's mostly peaceful.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
And well remember remember in Portland too, back in the
summer twenty twenty, it was a like over one hundred
days that Antifa and all these lefty crazy lay sees
to the Federal Court building. Uh, they're in Portland. And
now you got this same kind of stuff going on
with ICE agents and attacking them in Portland and of
course in Chicago. This is this is just not good.

(04:18):
And I do not understand the left, and they're reluctant
to embrace help when the President says I'll bring in
the National Guard to make sure orders orders. You know
that we have control in some kind of order.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Let me ask you, then, what would happen if Trump
sent them in any way into Portland because of you know,
they know that there's a dire situation happening here, and
who's going to arrest them? The police there that won't
do anything. I just wonder how far could this go
if you just defied the order and he told the

(04:50):
judge to get bent.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Well, I don't care whether would eat them?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Yeah, well that's a fair yeah, probably.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Well, you gotta be careful. You know, when when it
comes to a an order from a judge, the proper
remedy is always to appeal that and use depellate process.
Now that takes time. One of the things we're looking
at in our committee is is there a way to
do some kind of expedited appeal, expedited review for some
of these some of these situations we have seen, particularly

(05:16):
if you remember earlier in this year when we had
these these federal district judges issuing the injunction, and the
injunction was applying it, you know, it applied nationwide versus
just to the parties in that that case, in that
respective jurisdiction. So uh, those are that's the proper route.
But again, if the if the if the president thinks
the national guard is warranted for the safety of the citizen.

(05:37):
You can go all the way back to Eisenhower and
when he did it to help those kids get to
the school there and Little Rock. So there's there's certainly
precedent for that. And there's no problem with what the
President did in d Seed it being a federal city
and calling in national guards. There, there's some kind of
there's there's some you know, the course tend to get
involved when it's maybe maybe not be seen in some

(05:59):
other city. But it's been done before by president and
I think in this case it's certainly what what I
don't get is what Jad the Vice President said, why
aren't these guys asking for the help to come in
for good? Right? You know what's going on in your city.
Why aren't you asking for it? Then there's certainly no
problem with the president sitting in the next and.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
You know, two Congressman, if you're not actually in that
city walking around, or you don't you know, you don't
have a front row seat. In other words, you're us,
you're you know, the people here in Ohio or whatever,
and you're seeing it, and then all you have if
you're and you man, you can't even hardly believe anything
you see online anymore. He goes that AI is there,
you know, so forget all that. So unless you're there

(06:36):
witnessing them with their own two eyeballs, and you're and
you're seeing the destruction or you're seeing devastation, or you're
seeing this anarchy, you're seeing this lawlessness, you're watching it,
you're witnessing it. They're telling the rest of the world,
these governors, everything's fine, we don't need any help. We
don't need any help. We don't need any help. They
just keep saying that, and they have the mainstream media
on their side. So what it looks like is, you know,

(06:57):
Trump's this deranged guy who's just trying to take over.
And the actual truth is most of the citizens there
are all for it. I can't imagine if you are
on the receiving end of lawlessness in any of the city,
why would you not be so welcoming to the help
coming in, even if it is guys who are wearing fatigues,

(07:17):
who have weapons and so on. I just saw in
the Oval office Trump sitting there. He was talking to
the press corps. Why wouldn't a government accept a governor
accept help it. It's the stupidest thing, kind of what
you were saying with the Vice president.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Yeah, the citizen and the citizens definitely want it. Because Mark,
we did a we did a hearing of Field Hearing
Judiciary Committee last Congress, so a year and a half
or so ago. We did this hearing well high two
years ago, and we had on crime. We had a
number of citizens come and testify. They all told us
they want the police to the police. We had police
officers testify. Everyone understands it accepts. These left wing quote leaders,

(07:53):
these left wing governors and mayors and presidents of the
city council, that sort of thing. They're the ones who
just don't get it.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
And they're not even going to get close to experiencing
what you or I might be experiencing in those cities
because they have their own uh security and so on.
So it's they're they're insulated.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
They sure are.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Can I ask you, Congressman, did you catch any of
your buddy Schumer on on face the Nation this weekend?

Speaker 3 (08:18):
I did, and I was watching I watched Meet the
Press a little bit before we had it off the
church on Sunday, so I didn't catch Schumor, but.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
I mean, they're they're trying basically to say that that
Donald Trump is is President Biden, that he's unaware of
what's going on around him, and yeah, this is uh,
you know, he he had some hats laid out on
the table. I don't think he was even aware of
what was going on, what we were talking about. I'm like, well,
come on with you, four years of Joe Biden. You
want to question Trump's mentality?

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Really, no, what No one believes that. No one believes
it except well the crazy laught who's already against President Trump.
They might they might want to believe it, but it's
it's not true. Nobody anyone with common sense that that's
not the president. Trump is amazing, his his energy level
is amazing. And the guy works till late at night.
I've talked to him, I'm talking to him after midnight
and I've talked to him a four seven in the morning.

(09:09):
So this guy is working around the clock for the
American people. You know, these are the same people that
told this Joe Biden's fine, and now.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
To tell them, no one believes these guys say also,
I saw Governor Newsom says he's gonna sue the Trump
administration to prevent the deployment. It's every single turn, all
they're doing is trying to slag They just want him
to be unsuccessful. I think that's really what it boils
down to, Congressman. They just want him to be unsuccessful
so later on they can go, well, these cities were

(09:38):
this and that about these cities, and you know he
was trying to send in but you know, uh, we
didn't want that because you know, there really were no
problems to begin with. But now, I mean, it's it's
it's I guess anything you can arrive at is uh.
You know, as far as why are they doing it,
it feels like the end game is all there trying

(10:00):
to do is make him fail as much as possible,
so it'll be easy to say that JD Van should
not be the successor and they try to win in
twenty eight you know.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, And you know, for as much as we disagreed
with Joe Biden, as much as we thought you still
didn't want bad things to happen to the country. It's
our country. It's the greatest nation ever, I mean, we
didn't wish that, but it does seem like the left
they want bad things to happen just because it somehow
will reflect that on the present. Like no, I mean,

(10:29):
we didn't want that for Joe Biden. I don't think
anyone should want that for the country. But it seems
to be the left us.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Their need, their desire to protect illegal immigrants is beyond me.
It's not going to benefit them. They can't vote for them,
they can't support them. If they're all washing clothes in
the hotel basement, like Democrats seem to think they are.
It's not like they can donate to campaigns. I don't
understand why government shuts down over one point three trillion

(10:56):
they want to commit us to? Is that what it
is for illegal immigrants to get me Dedicaid benefits and
all this stuff? How what is I don't grasp the mentality.
Why are you fighting so hard and disturbing the force
for people that can't help you. What are they thinking.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Again, I think it's I think they believe it's some
At some point this may reflect battle on Trump may
help them politically, because it makes no sense. Chucks Humber
won't vote for what he voted for just six months ago.
I do not get that they've shut the government down
for that in a week and a half. You know,
there are folks who work for the federal government, namely
our military, who will not get paid. That is not

(11:36):
a good thing. And they're doing it because they want
healthcare public finance, taxpayer finance healthcare for people who are
not citizens. That doesn't make sense. And they want to
spend a trillion more dollars on top of all the
ridiculous spending they already did during COVID under Biden. That
we're saying, Okay, we'll just splat fund that until we
figure out how we're going to do the budget. And no,
they can't go for it. So again it makes no sense.

(11:59):
But again I can guess that's today's left.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
And finally, brush up on your Spanish, because I guess
bad Bunny said you got to learn Spanish if you're
gonna watch his halftime show the Super Bowl. Congressman, so
he said, in order to understand what's going on, you're
going to need to speak Spanish speak. I just was like,
I am, I am scratching my head over the stupidness
that continues to happen.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
Is Roger Goodell picked a hoop to pert.

Speaker 4 (12:26):
I hardly watched the halftime jay Z jay Z is
he is in control of the whatever, the whole group
of people that determine all that.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Which then that answers a lot of questions with regard
to what we've been seeing and this has been the
last year or two, and it's going to continue for
the next several years that this, unfortunately is what we're
going to be exposed to or having to deal with.
It's awful. It's awful.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
Yeah, yeah, I don't get it. But give me Guarth Brooks,
give me someone like that. I love that. Maybe if
I've watched that halftime show, I don't. I don't some
of these that they have though, I typically just don't
watch me either yet the game?

Speaker 1 (13:06):
Yeah me either, me either. All right. Congressman Jim Jordan,
thanks for joining us. We appreciate it. See you man,
see ya.
