Speaker 1 (00:00):
My wife just sent me a she just sent me
a picture. They're they're fishing. Her and Stone are fishing
right now. It Stone's all for for whatever reason right now,
he's he's all he just he wants to fish all
the time. Uh, you know what, I'm not even sure.
I don't I'm not sure where that is. I just
(00:21):
I can't tell. Like, but she said it, and like
over here, your.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
Wife fishes, but you don't.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Well, she took him and one of her friends, another
gal that's a friend of hers does fish. So she's like,
he wants to go, and like the way the time
his baseball happens on the weekends, and then I don't
want to go when we're trying to watch the Steelers
on Sundays right now.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
I mean, it's very little tough. So he's like wanting to.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Go right now, and she's like your dad, kid, and
he says, like, well, you take me.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
And then so she asked her friend just to kind
of set all that up. Dude.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
I also couldn't catch a cold, so it would be
terrible for me to try to tea.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
I don't have no idea how to fish.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
I three, I'll three you how to show a little
Carolina rig Carolina rig?
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Yes, on what do you want on a on? A
half ounce jig or jighead?
Speaker 4 (01:12):
What do you what do you want?
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, I'll rig you up.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
I can.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
I got you brother, I'll have a half ounce rig
on a Carolina jig.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
That sounds good to me.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
Congressman Jim Jordan's joining us now, that sounds good to you, Congressman,
I mean half ounce rig on the Carolina gim No YouTube,
did I say it wrong?
Speaker 4 (01:26):
Yes? You have fitching boppy fishing blue gill. Yes, no,
what's what whether they were they the fishing for bass?
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Uh, they're fishing for anything that bites, because you know
what he's using. Let me right, and I couldn't catch
a cold to my point, but I'll tell.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
You he said.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
He goes, uh, he never likes going to the store
with us on the weekends. And he says to me
and my wife Saturday, we're going, Hey, you want it.
He's like, no, I don't want to go. However, get
me some bait. And I'm like, what are you talking about?
Bait for fishing? I go, oh, well, they don't have
that in the story, goes, yeah, they do. It's called cheetos.
He's using cheetos.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
To catch blue gill and catch fish.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Is that real?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Well? I I mean they're like, what.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
I don't know, we have gummy worms in the house.
I don't know that that'll want.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
To be a fishing expert. But I know when you
get the fever, when you like some of the outdoorsmen,
when they like to hank fish, man, it gets you
got they gotta go, they gotta go.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Yes, you take the half ounced jig, which is which
is it's it's a weighted head that has a hook
coming out. Then you put sure whatever you're going to
use your different various types of worms or rubber baits.
And the Carolina rig is so it doesn't get wheat
just stuck in the wheats. Basically, you put the hook
right inside the body. You stretch it down and you
(02:46):
put it right up inside the worm.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
Yes, so that way.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
The hook is not catching anything.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
That's a caro. I'm just you know, it's a weedless rig.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Oh okay, okay, interesting My literally, I just got a
text and she said this man and his wife are
here and they help Stone with his rod, and then
she goes, he got a bass. The guy got a
bass and he lets stone feel it and throw it
back in the water.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
Cool.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
So he kind of got a feel for that or whatever.
And him and his buddies had been going there's different places.
We live near a golf course and there's some water
on the golf course, and so they've been going to
the different like water holes, if you will, on the
golf course. And then there's signs everywhere like no fishing
and all this.
Speaker 4 (03:29):
So he's getting in on the golf course. You gotta
love it. That's that's like a teenager. That's like a tradition, man.
That's something you gotta do. Jim.
Speaker 3 (03:37):
I knew a guy we had that there was a
local course around us when I was growing up, and
this kid he would keep his he would put his
fishing pole in the bag and while we were waiting,
you know, on the tee or whatever, he would just
throw it. He would just cast him. And I watched
this guy. He was a better fisherman and he was
a golfer in high school. He would catch fish more
(03:59):
than he would make pots.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
I'll tell you that that's funny, man. That is uh,
that is hilarious.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
I will also say uh, which we talked about earlier
in the week to David Bell was fired from the Reds.
Of course skipper for the Reds, and I think Stone's
gonna end up being he he's the closer. He came
in last night and he retired the side in order,
and then he uh on top of that, he was two.
Ford went two for two yesterday he had two Ribby's
(04:29):
and then on top of that, he ended up throwing
out well because of the way that it was set
up that the pitch that he threw was right down
the middle, and then the catcher threw out. The guy
who has had a lead on third tagged him out
and that was the end of the game, and so
they won by two because of all of that.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
So I was just like, man, he told.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Me he's gonna buy me a house later with his contract,
his first contract.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
That is that.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
I know that's special. They enjoy enjoy that mark because
you know they we had all our kids were in
sports and it was it was a fun time. I
would hustle home, flying home, get in the car, we
go watch him compete. I loved every minute of it.
So enjoy that. Congratulations.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
I do, thanks man, and I will all haul Booty
out of here trying to go see that. You know,
his games because they're through the week, But he puts
in the work. Man, he's at the cages a lot.
He's hitting balls until you know, working on his pitching
and then hitting balls, and he's really learning a lot
right now. We got him a coach that started working
with him, so it's paying off. He's ten, he's ten.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
Well you got pretty soon. You gotta get Hi in
the weight room. Get the stronger athletes, the better athletes.
So that's that's that'll be good too. Yeah, yep, we're
right now. So that's great.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
That's great.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
That's that's so fun. That is so I would go
back on the heartbeat to those days when we got
to watch the kids compete and try to be helpful
and all that, all that all that fun stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yep, it was a it's a lot of fun. It's
really exciting right now.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
And I love watching the excitement in his eyes and
him telling me about games and so it is really cool.
So you speaking of excitement or was it I guess
you just voted, correct, Congressman you on the cr R.
Speaker 4 (06:06):
Yeah, we're done for so after the election, we just
walked up the floor so uh yeah, we just finished.
We had like seven votes and now no more votes
until the lame duck session.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
I'm going to guess that you were a no vote
on today's CR.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
Yeah, I voted no. I mean, look, if we're if
we're if there's a plan, if we're going to accomplish something,
I'm not against every CR. If if you're going to
get something in there and you have a plan for
how you begin to address this spending, or you're actually
going to win on a big policy issue. And of
course we were trying two weeks ago to get the
say back, which would say like no new migrant now,
(06:39):
no new person can can register to vote without demonstrating
that they're a citizen. And you know, you thought were
The governor of Virginia just said he found on their
voter registration rolls like sixty thousand people who who weren't
citizens who were on their voter registration. So imagined that
that that concern all over the country and then the
people they don't know about. So we just how that
(07:00):
makes sense. I think every American thinks that's good common sense.
But we didn't get that on the bill. So, yeah,
if there's a plan to deal with this. I I'm
open to vote for CRS but having the path, but
didn't vote for this one.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Two hundred and thirty one million for Secret Service right
in this one is what I was reading.
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Yep, yeah, yep.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
And it's and even though it's it's going to get
through or did it get it's going to get through, right,
I mean.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
Yeah, yeah, it'll go to center. I think it will
get it will get through there. I think for eighty
one or eighty two. I think Republicans whoill wound up
voting against it. Uh so, yeah, it'll it'll, it'll get through.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
But in this this uh this funds the government through
December twentieth, correct.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
December twentieth. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
You know you brought up the thing with regarding you know,
the same Act and so on. And I got to
tell you this week, Congressman, I just watched I I
was I was privileged. I was set a copy of
Vindicating Trump, which is danesh to Suza's latest, his latest.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Have you happened to see that?
Speaker 4 (08:02):
As I'm not seeing you, no, but I've seen a
number of stop production, so I'm not seeing Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Well, the there's two guys that are in this movie
towards the end of it, and obviously a lot of footage,
I mean footage all the way up to Butler County
and so on.
Speaker 2 (08:18):
It's very very recent, all of this stuff.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
There's a big section with Trump of course in it,
and then all of the different people that Lara Trump,
Lara Trump's in it, and uh and Elena is it
Haba Is that.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
His attorney Cheese in it? I mean, it is, it is.
It is amazing.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
And the people that are on the fence, and it's
so hard for us to understand. Josh and I were
even talking about a congressman. It's like they're really people
undecided right now? Really how could how could it? And
it's so hard to understand. Now, Look, we do what
we do every day for a living. Of course, you're
living in day and day out, breathing at everything, breathing
eating it, and so it's hard to understand that somebody
(08:57):
could be undecided at this point. Those are the people
who need to see this vindicating Trump with densh TSUSA
and it is.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
It is absolutely amazing.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
But to your point, the fact that we're having to
put any any kind of legislation in that, it's like Yeah,
you have to have an ID to vote. We talk
about this all the time. You got to have an ID.
Just go to a well, once upon a time, an
R rated movie. That's probably it's probably a little old
to say that, but like, you know, buy a pack
of cigarettes or you you want to go buy something
(09:26):
to drink, you know, alcohol. It's crazy to me that
we have to we're moving this direction with that. But
as far as that goes, last week it didn't matter,
right right, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
I tell what else is crazy to me and strange
to me is the story that happened last week, but
it really hasn't got much play. The Iranians hacked the
Trump campaign. So these are the same Iranians you know
who want to kill President Trump. It's been you know,
they said, dude, they're they're trying to assassinate from President Trump.
So they hack his campaign, get the dossier on JD.
Vince that that they had put together when they were
(09:58):
setting who's going to be the VP candidate, And they
have a two hundred and seventy one page dossi on Vans
and then they that that dossier winds up at the
Harris campaign and then winds up in the press, and
you're like, we need answers. So we're we're inquired with
the FBI. We're looking to get a briefing from you.
We went, we got We want to know when did
they get this information? How when'd you learn about it?
(10:19):
Did you get President Trump a defensive briefing? But that
whole scenario, could imagine if it were flicked. Imagine if
it was, Oh, they hacked, the Iranians hacked the Harris campaign,
gave a two hundred and seventy one page dotsier on
tim walls to the Trump campaign, and that in that
fact winds up in the news, there'd already be a
call for special there'lighty be a special council appointed for
(10:39):
goodna say so to me, this is a serious thing,
and no one seems to be talking about it. But
we're going to try to dig into this and get
some answers.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Congressman two part real hair right here. Number one, I
think it's absolutely hilarious that Representative Goldman chastise you for
having that government hearing on weaponization, and then he turns
around as President Trump has taken case after case after
case after case after case, and he's telling arguing that
(11:11):
his former president Trump was the ultimate violator, and this
time he'll be unchecked when he gets back in is
it is astounding to me, Jim, that every single time
the Democrats accuse Trump or the Republicans of something, it's
based on something they've already done. They accused others that
(11:32):
which they are guilty of.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
I just thought that was absolutely ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
And the second part was, I can't believe that they
the Department of Justice allowed the letter from Ralph to
be released saying I'll pay you one hundred and fifty thousand.
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Dollars to finish the job. So your thoughts on both
of those.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Well, yeah, because that's a that's a basic violation of
the policy. They've the long held policy where they don't
do that because they say that that could cost them
copycat or someone else to do some other terrible thing.
So the fact that they released it here yet we
never see me get that on on these other cases.
I think there are questions there that we want we
want answered as as well. But you're right, this FBI, uh,
(12:09):
this Justice Department, which I always say, can't tell us
who planned the pipe bombs on January sixth, can't tell
us who leaked the Dobb's opinion and can't tell us
who put cocaine in the White House. They can, they
can go after President Trump. They can lie to the
fies of Court to spy on his campaign. They can,
they can, they can go after parents and school board meetings,
all this information. And mister Goldman say is no, no, no,
(12:30):
it's always about President Trump. You know, like makes no sense.
And I think I think the American people see through it.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
So President Trump, from what I understand, is going to
go finish some unfinished business in Butler, Pennsylvania on October fifth.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
I think that's what I was seeing.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Are you are you possibly going to be at that
or you probably have like six million.
Speaker 4 (12:51):
Depends on our schedule, which we're traveling a lot all
over the country helping candidates, and of course we're also
busy in our district in the fourth District of Ohio
and trying to help Bernie Marino in our great Stake,
and we have a we have a good race up
up in the Akron area with Kevin Coglan running up there,
and then we have Derek Marin running to try to
be a Democrat incumbent in the Tweeto area. So we're
(13:13):
busy with all that, but if the schedule fits, I
mean to look up far ahead what we're doing next week.
But we've been a number of routes with President Trump
and they're always fun, yep. And he always connects with
the audience because he did his supporters know, Americans know
President Trump. Is a great line. He says, they're coming
after me because I'm fighting for you, and I think
the people understand that. So I'm sure we'll probably get
(13:34):
this at least one rally at some point between now
and the election day.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
You know.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Also, it just burns their booties when they see him
hand one hundred dollars to a cash here, you know,
helping pay for groceries with somebody, which I'm sure was
just spare of the moment.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
And then they try to go he's buying votes. That's
ill legal. It's on camera talking about it earlier. It
is so silly every direction.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
And man, I'll tell you what he's really going to
have to reach down once he is back in the
White House is it's going to be coming fast and furious.
Probably we've probably seen nothing yet. What they're gonna end
up trying to do to him is Christy.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
It's it's been unbelievable, you know, from the spine on
his campaign, to Mueller, to impeachment, to raiding his home,
to trying the Fourteenth Amendment to fore indictments, not to
mention two crazy people in the left try to take
his life. So what he's been through is truly amazing,
and yet he is determined to win and help the country.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
Congressman Jim Jordan, thanks for joining us. Appreciate you, you
bet see you.
Speaker 2 (14:31):
Thank you.
