Speaker 1 (00:00):
And for our next subject, pizza for or against?

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Well, what part of my life are we talking?

Speaker 3 (00:12):
Yes, as a general rule, I'm very much for Thank you.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
I think it's so funny. I saw this thing earlier today.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
It's like, yeah, what you eat in your thirties and
forties will affect you at the age seventy, and I
was like, well, that's profound. I was like, come on,
what kind of a stupid statement is that. Of course,
everybody knows that you can't go through your life eating
fast food in your thirties and forties and then go,
I hope I'm around when I'm seventy. You know, it's

(00:39):
just silly to me, Like some of these headlines. I'm like,
there's gotta be more to this. Then I start reading
and there wasn't. I was like, what, what we're doomed?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Is what you're saying?

Speaker 1 (00:49):
I think, okay, it's half of American's favorite pizza hasn't
changed since they were kids.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
According to this.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
A lot of us are on auto pilot when it
comes to pizza. There's a new survey the average American
hasn't changed their pizza order in more than two years.
When you order pizza on your beloved West Side, which
probably isn't.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Very much, it seems by the way you're looking at me.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Is it the same place for the most part? No, okay,
so you would not be one of these people.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
No, I kind of bounce around. Not a whole lot,
but there's maybe half a dozen.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
Wow, you have six different places you fancy, okay. One
in seven have been eating the exact same pizza order
for over five years, according to this, and their very
favorite kind of pizza is the very same as if
they when they were kids. Then they talk about spicy
pizza and all this different stuff. So I don't know, man,

(01:49):
I think there's there's what? What? Why do I always
you fall in love? I'm in love with a pizza
place that doesn't even near me. I hate that because
I have to get it when I'm on that side
of town.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
And sometimes it's not even about ingredients for me, it's texture,
how it feels, how it.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
When I was at Ohio Dominican living in the dorm,
we there were two pizza places that delivered there. One
was Bob and Lee's. The others were Roberto's. I don't
know if they're both open or not. Bob and Lee's
was a fluffy year crust. Roberto's was the greasiest, flattest
pizza that's ever been made. And I loved both of
them and I ate them pretty much every day, which
is why I'm losing weight now.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Right Congressman Jim Jordan's joining us, and I'm thinking, you know,
just based on I see you're like one. You're probably
you and Mark Wayne are probably the most fit guys
in Congress A lot younger. Well, well, listen, as far
as you guys are both, I mean, you guys got

(02:49):
it going on. It's clear you guys take care of
yourselves and so on. But point being, I'm guessing you
like a pizza hero there, but not very much, not
very much.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Yeah, but I've actually changed, well it's sort of part true.
I mean, I still love pepperoni, which is always what
I like when I was a kid, But I did
not like anchobies when I was a kid. I love anchovies.
I like the salty and so anchobies and pepperoni is
about the salties you can get. That's the kind of
so I have changed on the anchovies from from the
kid to now. So not all places do anchobi, but

(03:19):
some do and I.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Really really like try the anchovies with pineapple.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
That's where I was going, No, I don't like pineapple.
Like No.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
We ordered that because Joe Rogan ate it on a
on a podcast. I guess that's one of his favorite
who was Yeah, who was he with on there? Elon Musk?
So he and Elon this is a little while ago,
and they ate this. I think they were high too,
quite frankly, because I'm saying to myself, how do you have?

(03:49):
So Chuck, you're the one who kind of introduced this, right,
I think you brought it up or was it in
a story or something.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I think it was Zach sent it to us one
of those little emails.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Yeah, So we had the bright idea of Congressman. We're like, hey,
you know what we should do? We should order a
an anchovy and pineapple. It was the worst thing I've
ever eaten. I was, I'm still not right. And Chuck
said it tastes like cat food.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
To him, and I did.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
I didn't even know how he knows what cat food
tastes like, but I would imagine that probably is.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
I do not like pineapple, love the anchovy. U and
now and now the one pizza. I like it. I
like Donado just with all the all the little pepperoni's
all that. I really Likedanatas. Yeah, that's good.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I was gonna say, what is your favorite? Like when
you're back here in the Buckeye State, which I know you, uh,
you're in the swamp so much. But when you're back
here back home, is there a little hole in the
wall place that you like to get pizza from here
and there?

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:46):
I like, I like some of the pizza the local
places in uh In, Urbana, but it's like a sort
of a chain kind of thing. Donados is my favorite.
I mean, but I can eat pizza, pizza, pizza hard.
I don't care. I can eat all kinds of pizza.
Love that Casano, all those all those.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Favorite what's the best there in uh In, in the
District of Columbia? What's the best there? Or do you
have a.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
Couple that you know what is the one they always get?
We got like a we got like a long committee.
We'll bring in pizza for lunch. Well we do Domino.
We the pizza. But that's I like the title. Yeah,
uh we've gotten that before here.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Remember, But Congressman, do you get a little nervous when
you got do you make? I mean there's no hiding
where the pizza is going. I mean, do you get
nervous that a bunch of Democrats are behind making that pizza?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
And you go, I'm not eating that no way, man?

Speaker 4 (05:41):
Well no, because it's not me ordering it. Maybe if
I was ordering it there, you might be a little nervous.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
It's where it's bad delivered.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
The Yeah, they know the staff too. They go or
will go pick it up sometimes.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
For that's probably that that might be the way to
do it. You send someone after it so they're not delivered.
Because how would you get a delivery?

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Uh you you would? I mean it would have to
be to the raver.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
I don't even know how you get close to those
areas anywhere.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
I don't have the steff. I don't know how the
steff does out either. I think we typically sent someone
out to grab it.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, you can't get stuff delivered to the Capitol. It's
not like the pizza guy can roll up to the capital.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
And remember that scene Fast Times the Ridge on High,
that old when when gets a pizza delivery had delivered
to the He's.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
Like here, dude, he like brings it into wherever one.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
I just thought of that.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Boy, Sean's come a long way. It hasn't any even
Christmas Poli whatever is ye fast.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Times that was. That's back when I was like, I
don't know, I must spend in college. Back then, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
The uh And I'll just throw this an We'll put
a tie a bow tie or or whatever on this
pizza thing. But loom moll natties when I was in Chicago,
that's that deep holy cat.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Oh yeah, yeah, it was in Georgia.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
That's good too. Yeah, that's good too.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
I like all pizza, just just pretty much any pizza,
but I really like the anchovies. Went has changed since
I was since I was little.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, So how about this?

Speaker 1 (07:15):
What we got fifty countries lining up now to talk
to President Trump about the reciprocal tariffs.

Speaker 4 (07:21):
It's funny.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
It's funny how that works, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Yeah? Yes, his am, let's talk. You know these these
other countries. Uh, you know they say, oh, you America
can't put tariffs on that's terrible, that's terrible. Well if
they're so bad, why don't you get rid of yours?
And now that he's done it they want to, they
want to suddenly negotiate. So that's that's the good news.
I mean, look, we're all for you know, no tariffs
and free trade. We're all for that, but that's just
not the lay of the land right now. That's not

(07:43):
the world.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
They're doing it to us.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
And President Trump is i think, trying to trying to
help with manufacturing here in our country and and make
sure it's fair, make sure it's it's level playing field,
and Americans compete, and we know if we compete on
a level playing field, we're gonna win.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Yeah, to to watch all this play out today, we're
watching in real time. We just saw Nett and Yahoo
was in the Oval office and it looks like they're
zeroing out there.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
If that's what I saw.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
Now, it happened while we were on the air, so
I wasn't able to sit and read and dissect it.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
But I'm sure you saw that correct.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
Yeah, I know he's in town today. I hadn't heard
the news yet. We were in this stap meeting here,
hadn't heard the news yet of any kind of announcement.
But if that's the case, that's that's great. I mean,
Israel's our best friend. I think we talked them. We
were in Israel two months ago. We took ten other
members over there for a week and is actually visited
with the Prime Minister, visit with a bunch of other
folks that had a great, great trip. They're our best friend.

(08:39):
Let's make sure we're doing all we can to help them.
And it should be you know, we don't want taraflin
stuff there. They're buying here and they shouldn't be putting
them on on goods that we're selling there as well.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
So are you able to bring us up to speed?

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Congressman on the I think there's committee on or judge overreach.
I was seeing the presidents faced over one hundred and
seventy lawsuit. It's fifty injunctions just since January twentieth. It's staggering,
the amount of the red tape, if you will, the roadblocks,
if you will. So what is what do you got
on this?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
What's the latest one that we got?

Speaker 4 (09:13):
A bill is going to pass on the floor tomorrow.
We passed out the committee four and a half weeks ago,
and it deals with the injunction issue you just described
where it says that if a judge in a district
the federal district judge if he issues an injunction, it
doesn't apply nationwide. It applies to the parties in that
case in that jurisdiction. We think that just makes good sense.

(09:33):
We had a big hearing last week where we had
speaker Ganggridgs testify. He was great talking about this issue.
We also actually had on the judge. It's slightly different
because the judge Boseburg's order of the guy who's that
turned the plane around, bring the bad guys back. We
actually had a lady from Aurora, Colorado who had had
to deal with the trendy Iragua gang members in her community,

(09:56):
shots fired into the car. Her and her husband had
to lead their home move somewhere else, and she testified
and she was powerful as well. So we've we're doing
the oversight on this issue. And then of course we've
got legislation that's going to pass the full House tomorrow
which says it only applies if you do an injunction,
it only applies to the parties in that case in
that jurisdiction.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
Yeah, because it seems like every time we turn around,
there's a judge going nope, nope, no matter what President
Trump is trying to do. And look, I know I'm
being kind of generic there with regard to it, but
that's what it feels like. Every time I see a story. Yeah,
it's followed by a judge issued some sort of a
stay or some sort of a ruling or something that
is roadblocking it. And it just seems like, you know,

(10:39):
that is what they are specifically after what they're trying
to do. And then you start looking at the nucleus
of it, and all of the judges that are behind
these are all like Obama appointed judge, it's all Democrat
appointed judges.

Speaker 4 (10:51):
Yeah, and I think they forget the fundamental It's just
the basic question is who gets to decide. The guy
who put his name on a ballot was elected by
seventy seven million people president of United States. The guy
has Article two, Section one percent, and so the Constitution
says executive power shall be vested in a president, not
in other people. He's focused on his duties as commander

(11:12):
and chief security issues when he talks about this international
terrorist organization, this trendy I Roqua gang. You know, I
think he's on strong constitutional grounds. The statue to use
I think the Alien Enemies Act, which talks about a
predatory incursion. That's certainly what this is. And then there's
just a common sense and you think about this judge
saying turn the plane around, bring bad guys back here.
That makes no sense. So with all that in mind,

(11:35):
we feel like we need to do everything we can
legislatively as well. And again it's why this bill is
going to be I think passed on the house for tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
All right, very good, Congressman Jim Jordan. Hopefully pizza for
dinner tonight. Thank you for that.

Speaker 2 (11:47):
That's right.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
That's right, with anchoby, take care.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Guys, see you man. Thanks all right. Oh, anchovies, I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
When I was a kid, I remember my mom equated
the presence of anchovies in her house to the smell
of chiple house. She said, neither is going to happen.

Speaker 4 (12:03):
Yeah, oh god, I feel like, oh, just thinking about Chitlin's.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah, you're kidding me. I never understood that.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
I don't. I don't understand it either. I can't what
I asked in the grocery store because they come in
a bucket. And I asked the grocery store, why are
they selling buckets at the grocery store? And Mom told
me what they were, and yeah, so what's that. She goes,
you don't want to know.
