Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yes, you know, I don't know that there'll ever be
a time in my life. I don't like a good
burger ever never. I hope that never goes away.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
I'd like to be buried with one. Yeah, stincase, just.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Because if you wake up you're like starving.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Yeah. If I go to the other side and I'm eternal,
maybe the burger will be eternal as well, so.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
That it's so beefy the way it feels, maybe it'll
maybe it'll go with you, eternal beef.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Hanging out on my cloud. Hey, Chuck, your burger's going Yeah,
watch this. There it is again.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
It's so great, man. I love it. I love it.
There is a top ten burger chains in the US.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
List, of course there is, of course.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
And uh some of these I've not had some of them.
I don't agree with ooh all right, at number ten,
Red Robin makes a good burger. They do make a
good burger. I will say this more times than not.
I will get a bun there that just breaks apart,
like it's re entering Earth's atmosphere, kind of crumbly. I

(01:12):
don't that is the mark of an old bun. No
one likes old buns. Get your buns newer. Please fresher,
we need fresher buns. That's what it is that used
to be my rap name. Fresher Buns is fresh buns,
fresh buns. Yeah, but you're right, by and large. Red
Robin there burgers are really good. They're they're thick, they're juicy.

(01:38):
There's no problems there. Then at number nine, MoU Yah
Burgers Fries and Chicks.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
Never heard of it.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Moo yeah, MoU yeah, like boo yah, but moot with
an m MoU yah.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I never heard of it either.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
MoU Yah Burgers, Fries and Chicks. There at number nine
at numbnumber eight, way Back.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
Burgers, not heard of them either. Nope, California Chain.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Maybe again, I I guess maybe I should have done
a little bit of research.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
I suppose way Back Burgers. I'm not sure if they're
just California.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
If the name indicates what kind of burgers they are,
I might actually like them. If they're like old school
home style, you know, as opposed to pre form patty
type things. The name sounds good, but I've never heard
of them.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Northeast Connecticut, Okay, that'd be why I never had I've
never been up that way.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Way back Burgers.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
I'm the burger, I have a Pepper's faw, I'm cookie.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
I'm doing smash burgers on Father's Day. Yes, so I
make a pretty legendary on the Blackstone.

Speaker 3 (02:53):
I've uh legendary.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
I've done it a couple of times at this point,
and I got family claim for them. I'll just say
it all right, So my dad has fired up. I
was like, hey, Dad, Father's Day, you want to come
over for I barely got.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Smash burgers on the yep, yep, yep. We'll be there
at number seven. Five guys burgers and fries.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
No oh, I love the five guys. I just I
can't spring for it.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
It's just it's twenty bucks for a burger and fries.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
Too much for what it is. I love them, but
I just can't do it.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
So the only redeeming thing about it is you get
enough fries for about three people in one order, and
you've ordered it before where they put them down in
the bag and there's an extra. It's crazy, and the
burgers are they're big, but you'd think, man, for twenty bucks,
I better get something that remember fud Rutgers.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Oh yes, I mean oh yes, and flaky Jakes.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Oh wow, just went way back.

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I love me some flaky jakes.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
So five guys is at number seven. Then a couple
here I've never heard of. At six Freddie's Frozen Custard
and Steak Burgers. Freddie's Frozen Custard and Steak Burgers.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
No, sounds like kind of a steak and shake knock
off type thing.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
On a side note, have you ever had do you
like custard like frozen like Wits?

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yes? I do.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Stone's been after me. I don't know what it is lately,
He's like, Dak, can we go to Wits? I'm like,
what a bizarre request out of nowhere? He's like, can
we go to Wits?

Speaker 3 (04:35):
I'm like what?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
And this time of year? Honestly I love the one
over in downtown Hilliard, Old Old Hilliard. Yeah, it's just
such a blasted family type atmosphere you expect people to be.
I don't know, playing John Philip SU'SO music. It just
it feels. I love Old Hilliard anyway, right, I like
that down there too. Where's it at Zach attack Paul,

(04:58):
there's a Freddie's in Hilliard? Boom, there you go?

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Oh at number five Islands restaurants. Never heard of that, Nope,
I never heard of that. Let's bring in Congressman Jim Jordan.
I know he's a fan of the burgers. We're going
over the uh.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
The the top burger chains in the US.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Congressman, Well, uh, I mean from you know, I got
like you gotta love Wendy's because it's right there in
God's Country.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
But well we're just we were just talking about this list.
There's a Freddy's Frozen Custard and State Burgers which is
on this list. At number six, there's one that just
opened in Hilliard that yes, Zach was telling us about him, like,
oh I hadn't heard of that.

Speaker 3 (05:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
But at number four, Now, this is one of my favorites.
Is Culvers is on it?

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Oh oh yeah, I love I love Culvers. That's like,
you know, I went to school University of Wisconsin and
it's up there and Wisconsin. Culver's is really good. The
butter burger, the butter.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Burger at Rome Hilliard. All the time, I have yet
to stop in there.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Oh yeah, okay, we got one in Powell around the way.
I'll drive, yeah, we end up there. And then at
number three was shake Shack is on this list not
having not had shake shack.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Yeah yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
And then at number two the Habit Burger grill, the
Habit h A B I T the Habit.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Murdered real never heard of it.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Yeah, well, Congressman's on his Harley sounds like we've heard.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
I mean, I'm actually in New York. And then some
guys just went by. We're in a car.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
And then at number one on this list is In
and Out Burger number.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
One around West I think I think that is that
a California.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
Yeah, Vegas. Yeah, they heard about them.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Bring them here or stop putting them on list that
I read in Ohio. Between In and Out and Jack
in the Box, I'm sick of hearing about the two.

Speaker 3 (06:49):
Yeah yeah, yep, yep.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
Now, I thought you guys could be talking about burgers
you had at the memorial. I thought it was gonna
be all about the memorial. When I got to watch,
Scottie Scheffler just put the hammer down on everyone. But you,
we're talking burgers all over the country. That's fine.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Well, what it was was we were waiting on you
because it is live radio, and so what I was
doing and that look, that's not a dig, not an indictment.
I I just, uh, it was one of those things.
I go, I know, you probably have a million things
going on. So I was like, oh, I got this
list of burgers and we're both footies, and I knew
you're a burger guy.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
I go, he can join right in as soon as
we're doing it. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
So it's interesting you bring up Scotty because did you
so his son Bennett. Oh my gosh, is he a
sweetheart or what? His one year old son smells kind
of funny exactly.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
He's still saw the spotlight.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
He had like a big poo stain on the back
of his shirt when like Scotty's holding him, I'm dying laughing.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
My wife, guys, he blew he had a blowout.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
She's like, Bennett had a blowout.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
It's blowout Bennett, who's right there?

Speaker 4 (07:52):
You gotta load it. It's like he's a guy who's
the best player in the world, making all kinds of money.
He's still a regular guy. He's gotta get it, take
care of the things that all his dads and granddads
have to do. You know, So I know what parents
and grandparents have to deal with. All that stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
That's good.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
There's no wonder people like it. That was like the
most normal moment. I don't know much about golf. I
don't follow, but seeing this woman have the audacity to
hand the poop poo boy to daddy and Daddy take
poopoo boy with no problem. That was just that was
so Americana. It was beautiful.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Yeah, that is Yeah, Well, he's an amazing guy, you know,
so like it was a little over a year ago.
Remember the whole the whole thing at the PGA down
at Valhalla and you got.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
The rest of that.

Speaker 4 (08:38):
Yeah, And he's this guy is so good, so focused
that you know, you heard the report Afford. He's at
the in the jail, stretching and warming up just in
case he gets out in time to make his tea
time and continue and play the term like that's how
focus is got. He's just an amazing, amazing and I've
never met in my life to visitly sometimes and talk

(09:00):
with him, but just an amazing athlete.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
You know.

Speaker 1 (09:02):
And I don't know anything about his political persuasion, but
I can tell you my guess. He just seems like
one of us congressman. For whatever reason, I have no
good authority, but it just seems like he probably is.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Yeah, I don't know either, but I would bet the
house that he's a Republican.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I mean, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if I
found out, It would not surprise me one bit. But yeah,
congratulations to him. You know, he drains that final putt
on Saturday to get to the one stroke lead, and
then he never let go. I mean, he's unshakable. Man
picks up four million bucks. He now wins two in
a row. He's going for three in a row. The
only other guy that's done that at the Memorial is

(09:41):
Tiger Woods.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah, we'll see if you can do it.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
The money is on Scottie Scheffler if he stays healthy
next year.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Why wouldn't he.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
It seems like he knows every break and every blade
of grass on that golf course at this point.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Man, So he's just good, and like you say, it
seemed like even a better per It seemed like a
wonderful Christian guy just just like I don't know, it
just seemed like amazing, just the kind of guy you'd
like to see do well in line.

Speaker 1 (10:06):
Hey, and I also I talked about this when we
were out, because we did I did the show from
there Thursday and Friday for rounds one and two, I
did the went live from out there, and I was
talking about because last week I was in Vegas. I
played Wins golf course, which is behind me Ran and
Encore there and so we're out there on Tuesday and
a couple guys come rolling up Congressman and they are

(10:29):
it turns out their secret Service guys, and they were like,
we need to search all your stuff and the guys
that are in my foursome and they wanded us and
so Jade Nantz was out there playing, so oh wow. Yeah,
he was literally on the course. He was like on
whole three or whatever. And we were on maybe thirteen
at that point or twelve somewhere, but they were vetting
everybody out there.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
So you're telling your from Ohland, you want to talk
to your former senator now you're vice president.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
I try so you should have seen it. It's so
funny you bring this up. And I didn't plan on
doing this, but you kind of let me right into it,
talking about chef wearing golf and all that. And I
told this story on the air Friday Thursday. But I
and even so Balderson was on with me Friday and
I brought it up.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
He's like, I heard.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
All about it, But what happened was I told these guys.
So one of them, I said, Hey, are you going
to see him in a few minutes, because can you
please tell him Blazer from Ohio is playing.

Speaker 3 (11:21):
I would love to say hi to him.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
I said, he's been on the air with me twelve
times or so, and I helped get him elected senator
in Ohio. You know he's from Middletown. I'm like, this
guy looked at me like I had three heads condo.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
He was like, sure, buddy, Sure, and I think he
thought I was BS and hm. I'm like, man, I'm
being honest. I got his phone number in my phone.
I was like saying all this stuff.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
So yeah, he was like if I had a nickel
for every time I heard Gath.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
Right, Yeah, and then so I see him. The holes
got near each other and I saw him coming down
the fairway. On the next hole over. You could see
there was like golf carts everywhere, so I knew immediately.
I'm like, oh, that's gotta be JD. So I'm yelling,
I'm laying JD. I'm yelling across and I'm going walking
toward and the guys on foot start coming toward me,

(12:09):
and I go, you know what, I'm I'm gonna back off, guys.
I don't need to be tackled right here or whatever.
Because JD doesn't know me by face. He's been on
the air with me a bunch, but he knows he's
gonna know who I am or whatever.

Speaker 4 (12:20):
So I was, he's gonna know that that voice, he's
gonna know.

Speaker 3 (12:23):
I was like that, got it.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
It was a crazy move for you to make a
little lepecially if they couldn't hear you. Yeah, I mean
the secret Service guys, go what do you what? Guy said?
Was it alo off?

Speaker 4 (12:33):
Bar?

Speaker 2 (12:33):
I don't know, go get it. The next thing you know,
you're on the ground. They're putting you in the hole
instead of the ball. You don't need that, man, I.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
Would have been yelling for get JD. I promise he
knows who I am. Just tell him it's Blazer from
TV and he'll know. I promise.

Speaker 4 (12:49):
Man.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
He was on with me a lot congressman, seriously when
he was elected senator.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
So it was you're running professe in Ohio. You got
to be on the Blazer show.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
Yeah, I was fortunate man he did. He did jump
on with me a lot, I guarantee. So anyway, that
was like a little I thought, you know what, I
got to tell Jim about that when I talked to
you again or whatever. But just real quick, because we're
almost out of time here, and I know you're in
New York and you got stuff to do. But with
eggs going down, you know, we know the prices are
are down. We're looking for other prices to begin to drop.

(13:21):
But you know what, there's a big story today that
gas prices here in Columbus.

Speaker 3 (13:27):
They've fallen sixteen point four cents.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Per gallon the last week, and as a matter of fact,
they continue to fall fifty cents lower than a year
ago this time June second.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
A year ago it was.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Three forty two when you know who was president. And
then we can go down this whole list. But you
know it's interesting Trump ran on this. President Trump ran
on this saying he was going to do these things.
And guess what it's starting to happen, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
Yeah? No, And the numbers last week, it wasn't just
the inflation numbers that are coming down. With its great
for all of US, but unemployment when all of those
numbers are low, consumer confidence number was high. So all
kinds of good signs we're seeing. We get this bill
across the finish line in the Senate. I think that
will help get more certainty to make sure those tax

(14:15):
cuts are locked in for businesses and families. So yeah,
it's all positive. And again it's just consistent with what
President Trump said he was going to do when he
ran for the job.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Yeah about that, I mean, are there going to be
enough senators? Do you think?

Speaker 1 (14:27):
We know we're seeing ran Paul, We're seeing what he's
doing and so on.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
I don't ever see I don't see him move into
the yes side of this.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
But this big, beautiful bill, there's such a small margin there.
And I know you don't have a crystal ball and
all of that, but I know we're looking to get
this to forty seven's desk by July fourth.

Speaker 4 (14:44):
I guess, yeah, I think it happens, I really do.
And I think because in the end, this is a
good bill. And I said this on the half floor.
You know it's a good bill because the Democrats hate it.
They hate it because it embraces fundamental conservative common sense principles.
It says, let parents keep, families keep more of their money,
cut their taxes. It says, allocate resources secure the border.

(15:05):
It says, if you're an able bodies adult and you're
getting taxpayer money, you should have to work. Go go figure.
And it also says to parents, we think you should,
you should, you should get school choice, which is the
element in this bill. So good, basic conservative, common sense principles.
I think in the end that drives drives the day,
and you get you get the Republican vote sport and
get it to the present's debt.

Speaker 3 (15:24):
Very good.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Yeah, we're hoping that that is the way that it happens.
Congressman Jim Jordan, thanks for joining us.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Appreciate you, bet, thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
Seeing man
