Speaker 1 (00:00):
You know, this is one of those things I was
telling you GOP strategists. Bob Clegg is in studio with
me at the Ohio Senate voting to prevent local officials
from interfering with immigration arrest.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
And I.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
Just was like looking at this, going, uh uh, why
is it that we have to have any kind of
legislation in place? It's already there. You're not supposed to,
you're not allowed to. How if they're here illegally and
they're trying to use these examples of Look at this
poor nineteen year old kid who was in college and
(00:36):
he was doing this and you just came and got it.
Was he here illegally? He's been here since he's been
eight years old. Was he here illegally? Yeah, but he's
been here since he's a He wasn't hurting nobody. I'm
just so tired of this man.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
Tell that to your mayor.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Mayor again, Oh I don't. I mean, these are the
kind of people that need to have this law in place.
Senate Bill won seventy two past the Senate twenty three
to eight on the eighteenth of June, would require public
officials and offices to allow federal immigration officers to arrest
individuals suspected of being in the country illegally, with or
(01:13):
without a warrant. Oh chie, thanks, we can do it
without a warrant. Oh thank you. Appreciate that we can
put some legislation in place that allows us to do
our jobs. This makes me nuts that every single thing
that happens. You saw Congress scrambling and trying to stop
Trump from doing what he did over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
Oh yeah, the Democrats. I get it.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
If you're talking about a full on war. I understand
that the president can't just go alone. This isn't what
is the one game where you can it's actually Trump
is in it the actual term for Trump, the card
game where you can actually we have a partner and
there's four people.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Not risk that.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
What kind of zach you jackass on a card game? No,
it's what is it called where the jacks are Trump
in it? Left and right? Bar uh huh so uker
uker Yeah, uh yeah. This isn't uker where you know
the president can just go alone and start a war.
So it's just crazy how they're all scrambled, agal. We
(02:18):
got to put in place to stop him. They are
always against Trump bad Orange Man. So whatever he does,
they have to be against. I know that's a fact.
Even if it's one thousand percent, it's the right thing
to do. Yeah, for sure, Operation Midnight Hammer. Let's bring
in Congressman. Jim Jordan's joining us. Hey, Congressman, how are you?
Speaker 2 (02:36):
I'm fine? And I knew you hadn't piped me in yet,
but I knew you when you started to describe it
earlier dead gone it.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
I could have he would have said, uker there. Uh yeah, Sorry.
I get a little absent minded when I'm on the
air when I hadn't thought something through. But we were
just talking about what happened over the weekend. Was absolutely
when you when you see how everything happened thirty hours
and you know, you send decoys towards gom Guam out west,
and then you you know, the actual real mission is
(03:07):
going east the other way. We're headed to Iran and
we're gonna get rid of these nuclear facilities and you see,
and I go, all right, so who's gonna get who's
gonna do the movie? So we started talking about that, Congressman,
and and Bob even had it a good out. He's
like Mel Gibson, Mel could be the one that But
I just said, man, is that if we went completely factual?
(03:28):
Would this be too boring if we went because and
I said, man, we might have to add in in
bellish a little bit with some of this, where like
I don't know, they're trying to refuel and they thought
maybe they blipped on the radar. This this is absolutely
incredible what happened. But your thoughts when you saw this
go down on Saturday night and so on? Where were
(03:49):
you when you saw that and all that stuff?
Speaker 2 (03:51):
So first of all, hello to Bobby in there, and
I heard you about playing there, h congressman. Yeah, how
my congressman. That's right, you're stuck with me. The no,
I thought the precision, just the execution was was and
and frankly part of that was the deception as as
you you know, some flying west out of the base
(04:12):
in Missouri, the other stealth bombers flying uh east towards
right right towards Iran. I thought amazing. And and you
know we said this last week, God blessed President Trump,
God bless the United States military and in our great country,
and frankly, God blessed Israel. So no, I, this is
something I support. I think the President did the right. Look, everyone,
(04:34):
our intelligence says Iran was getting close to nuclear capability.
Israel's intelligence said that, but also the new the I
A I A E A says the same thing. So
this is the country getting close to the nuclear weapon.
Who says Israel is death to Israel, death to America.
I think I think that that President Trump not only
helped Israel, not only helped America, but did the world
(04:56):
of favor. And it looks like it looks like this
thing was just really really successful. So just an amazing
impressive uh you know, uh, a more deal for President
Trump for his administration and a course for for our military. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
And and when you when you look at the way
that this has played out, and it's not being reported
that any civilians were were you know, killed or anything
during these strikes. They were completely just these three nuclear
facilities that they were going after. Do you think Congressman
(05:36):
that there there there Obviously there's been talk about, hey,
this is probably gonna happen. You better get to the table.
We needed, we got to cut a deal. We got
and so this was a chance for people to steer
clear of these areas or and this is interesting too.
By the way, we had we took calls for the
first hour and a half on the show, and people
(05:56):
were calling in giving their opinions on this, and someone
brought up a really good saying, look, he felt that
their regime didn't have really any concrete evidence that when
it was going to happen, or they would have packed
those facilities with women and children and everything else because
they have no regard for any of their life there.
(06:16):
And I thought that was a really interesting point by
one of my listeners earlier, saying they would have done
that in order to make sure it looked like a
big bloody mess that Trump was involved with and it
was his fault, you know, kind.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Of a thing. Yeah, No, I think that's I think
that's that that could have definitely happened with uh. I mean,
you're talking about a terrorist intoy, a terrorist state, done
all kinds of bad things, financing hamasas Bulla, doing the
terrible things they've done to Israel and to others, so
to their own people. So yeah, you know, these people
are capable of all kinds of bad and evil, evil things. Again,
(06:48):
I think it underscores just how amazing this operation was.
The fact that it was kept secret. The fact that
there was some deception involved is that I think it
looks like the Deep ran and kept everyone else from
knowing just how precise and how good this operation was
put together and how flawlessly it seems it was executed.
(07:08):
So again a testimony to President Trump and his team
and to our military. If you saw the General Kine,
the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, his press cont he
just the guy just projected confidence, projected strength to him
and Secretary of Hegsith, And of course I imagine if
if it was President Biden or President Harris. I just
(07:32):
I just don't. I just you know again, you want
someone like President Trump who projects strength from from the
Oval office.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, no question about that. And you know, speaking of
Secretary Heagsath telling reporters saying, this is a plan. It
took months and weeks of positioning and preparation. We could
be ready when the President called. Took a great deal
of precision and involved misdirection, the highest operational security and
so on. I mean, what are you hearing at your level?
(08:01):
I know, you know, we're seeing all over socials, you know,
depending on who you follow or what you see, but
you're seeing people talking about how nobody was informed ahead
of time and all this, and this is exactly why
it went off without a hitch. Is the way that
I feel about it, I mean, is that your feeling
as well?
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Yeah? And plus I think the president's on strong constitutional ground.
I mean, first, he's I think as commander in chief
under Article two, he has the authority to take this
kind of action when there's this kind of threat to
our country. Iran with a nuclear weapon is certainly a
threat to our country in light of what they've said
and what they've done. I think there's also this nineteen
seventy three War Powers Resolution, that active path where he's
(08:41):
allowed to take this action. He's supposed to to the
extent possible keep Congress informed and let them know after
this happens. He's doing that. And then, frankly, remember he
talked about this when he ran for office. It's not
like this is a secret. He said, Iran's not going
to get a nuclear weapon, So it wasn't like this
was new to the American people. This was someone who
(09:02):
campaigned on this, told us about this. And of course,
now when he had both Israeli intelligence, American intelligence, and
of course the Iaea saying that that that that I
ran was close and not following the agreement they were
supposed to. I think that I think he made the
right call, and it looks like it went off. It
looks like it went off the right way.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Yeah, Congressman, we were, Bob and I were looking earlier
when we first went on, and you know it was
before of course Wall Street closed, but the doll was
up today, up three seventy five, seventy five. Oil is
down right now, and it really I know exactly that's
what we were doing too. And it's it's like it's
(09:42):
it's like the world stage, people are dare I say it?
Other people are happy about this, and and and you
just look at any of the left and you only
had them as your source. It looks like everybody was
against this, and how dare him do this? How true?
And looks like on the world stage people are happy.
(10:02):
I mean that region we've talked about this, they're all
dancing over there. I mean, like we were just saying, Bob,
going on, you were saying, like Syria.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
And Saudi Arabia the happy dance. Yeah yeah, yeah, well no,
I mean, look, the good guys took action against the
bad guy. I mean, Israel and America are the good guys,
and anyone who tries to turn it around, I just don't.
I think they're just not getting it. And the left,
the left always takes the wrong position. We've talked about
this before, but you know, the left will say, oh, listen,
(10:32):
let's keep sending all your tax money to Ukraine, and oh,
let's look at how we're what what actions we're going
to get involved with and against Russia, and like, what
what are you talking about? Meanwhile, when Israel and America
go after a terrorist state, that what I ran and said,
somehow that's bad. I mean, I just I just do
not get what the left said. The good guys here
(10:52):
are the state of Israel and the United States of America,
and they took action that benefits both of those countries
and just as importantly benefits the entire Mid East region
and the entire planet. That's a good day. And guess
what the market reacted positive to that action.
Speaker 1 (11:08):
I also liked the take two of the assessment after
and it was a clip where you know, Marco Rubio
was on with Margaret Brennan over the weekend one whatever
show she faced it should be should be called crap.
It should be the name of the show. But she's
like Marco Rubio reminded her, like, yeah, I'm a little
(11:28):
more plugged in than you are, and I'm paraphrasing with
regard to information, and I think I know a little
more than you do about some of the stuff. And
all she could try to focus on was everything except
how awesome this was pulled, Like what really happened right
during this? I don't know if you happen to see
any of that, Congressman, but it was so beautiful watching
(11:50):
her just get dismantled. It was great.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
Yeah, Marco's done. Marco's done, I think a very good job.
Or I should say Secretary of State has done a
very good job. So yeah, I didn't catch that, but
I appreciate the work that he's done, and and it's
certainly the work of the president and the vice president.
This was you know, look, well we saw what happened today,
but it looks like it was, as the President said,
(12:14):
really weak response from Iran. That's I think that's that's uh,
so we'll see what else plays out. But what happened
with plus you just got to like the names, right,
You appreciate that. I mean, I don't know who comes
up with the names of these. Operation Midnight Hammer Israel
was operation UH. I think Rising Lion is like, you know,
(12:34):
it's the Lion of Judah or something reference to that.
You know that it's God blessed the military and of
course our military and of course the Israeli military for
what they were able to pull off against a very
very bad and uh into the uh, the terrorst state
of Iran.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Yeah, I was just looking a little over an hour ago.
Trump calls for ending war after Iran's very weak retalite
Tory missile attack, him thanking Iran for giving early notice
on its retaliatory missile attack. Almost like symbolic and almost
like courteous, if I could even use that word. It's
really a head scratch by just bombing. Well, what that
(13:14):
is is respect. Yeah, it feels like to me, I mean,
I don't know if that comes off that way to you, Congressman,
but it does to me.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Yeah. And again I think that it all goes back
to a guy in the Oval office who projects strength
versus what we had prior. It's a different it's a
different situation, but I always go back to three years
ago when Russia went into Ukraine. Former Secretary of State
Pompeo was asked he was doing an interview and he
(13:43):
was asked by the host, would this have happened with
President Trump, you know, as president? And and I thought
Mike gave a great answer. He said, the short answer is,
I don't know, but I do know this. It didn't
happen when President Trump was in the White House. And
I think I think that sort of fundamental fact that
President Trump means what he says, says what he means,
and does what he does what he said he was
(14:05):
going to do, which is I think the real mark
of what what we're supposed to do in public life.
What did you tell the people you're going to do
when you ran for the job if you get elected,
to do what you said? And he told us Iran
is not going to get a nuclear weapon, and all
the evidence pointed to they were getting close. We were
in is reel six months ago, and I thought this was,
you know, maybe going to happen even on a on
a more you know, a faster timeline than what than
(14:26):
what we saw over the over the weekend. But President
Trump does what he said he's going to do, and
the American people think appreciate that, and I think the
world is better off today because of the actions he took. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Plus it's it's a far cry from palettes of cash
that were delivered by.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
A number that Obama great point, great point, they are gone.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
We want those days again. That's what they're wanting for sure,
no question about that. All right. Congressman Jim Jordan, thank
you for joining.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
I appreciate you guys.
Speaker 1 (14:52):
Take care, all right, We'll see crazy
