Speaker 1 (00:00):
Bob Pa Doucheck in studio with me, kind enough to
come in and hang out this afternoon and joining us now. Man,
I'm surrounded by greatness. Conferson Jim Jordan is joining us
now too.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
I know you guys. I know you guys, your old buddies,
you and padu Check.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Yeah, you replaced Chuck with Bobby Paduchick, mister Republican. That's awesome.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah, he's Uh, he does the show with me every
once in a while, comes in and he was kind
enough to do that. Hey, I wanted to bring up
real quick before we get into anything. Was first of all,
Chuck told me, he goes, hey, make sure he heard
you on with Clay and Buck, and he goes make
sure and ask him about the eighty one he shot
with his brother. I think, so you played not too
long ago and did really well.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Well. We were we were supposed to be in DC
last week and then I got canceled and so I
had a time and so nothing better than when you can. Well,
my brother and I were a team against our buddies,
and we put it on them. We were like, we
beat him back. We were up like four holes at
the end. And uh, but then you know when you
also beat your brother in strokes with that, and eighty
one is a great I mean I'm not very good,
(01:02):
but that's a great score for me. So it was
a fun, fun day, made a bunch of made a
bunch of.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Oh it feels nothing fun, nothing better, right, I mean
that right there.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Playing a really good round of golf ranks up with
like if you hit a new best in the gym
as far as like bench or something like that. That
at least for me that I can kind of relate
to that once a lot of time. Hey, and real
quick too. I told this story at the top of
the hour or top of the show, and I'll try
to be quick. But I played Meerfield a week ago today.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Yeah, the village.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Well it's not about that because I scored terrible, but
we played us. We played in a it was a
tournament like an outing shotgun, yeah, shotgun. And so we
started on sixteen and I don't know how well you
know the course. It's a part three. Sixteen is a
part three. And so the teams we were playing are
one hundred and sixty three yards. And I was with
(01:54):
Dave Holmes, who's sports guy here for Channel six Fox
twenty eight and then two other guys. So the two
other guys they go first. Both of them were on
the green right, and so I'm like, geez, the pressure
is mounting here.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
I'm like, jeemie. So I step up and I hit
a seven iron from one.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Sixty three and I hit it pretty good and two
bounces and it bounced off the.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Stick and it sat. It sat straight down right next
to the hole.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
It did not go in, but I've never had a
hole in one, and I almost like it either almost an.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
Almost well, great shot. Congrats, that's something I know. And
you're much it's one hundred and sixty three yards for me,
that'd be a six iron, other seven iron, Yeah, a
little more swing speed there or something.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
And you know, and you know what the the the
one caddy says to me, he goes, if you would
have hit an eight iron, that would have went in
because and I said, no kidding, and he goes, well, yeah, literally,
same shot shape, same swing, same everything, which you know,
how are you gonna do that? But he goes, eight
iron goes in and he because you know, there are
really fast there, as you can probably imagine, and so
(03:04):
it hits twice and he goes. It just had too
much speed when it hit the stick as White glanced off.
He goes eight iron. A little less speed he goes
probably would have dropped. And I was like standing there like, man,
you know, but I don't. I don't want to sit.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
And toil over. Well man, almost it was.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
It was still really something to say your field, but no,
I shot ninety five a congressman so and I mean
the wheels.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Fell off after that, that's for sure.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
It was cool, so real quick because I know we
got just a little bit of time with you today.
But Trump gives putin a fifty day ultimatum on Ukraine.
I mean, we go from golf to something really really serious,
no question about that. But your thoughts on you know,
do you does he go for it? I mean, I
mean do and we hope that he does. But this
has turned into an unbelievable situation that's clearly happening there.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
I don't know if you've given any thought to that.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Well, I mean, look, I trust the president. The President
wants to end that we all do, of course, and
I think he's, as you know, you've seen in his statements,
he's a little frustrated with h with with President Putin,
so he wants to stinged in and for it to stop.
It's been going on now three years, more than three years.
(04:16):
And of course Russia eleven years ago, twelve years ago
took I guess eleven and a half now took took Ukraine,
so excuse me, took Crimea, which is part of Ukraine.
So yeah, the president, he's I think, looking at looking
to do whatever he can to get this thing to stop.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah. And then I saw also that it looks like
they're going to be purchasing weapons from US. I mean,
we're going to.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Be you know they tell Yeah, that's what it sounds like.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yeah, yeah, because I was seeing I saw earlier when
President Trump said, this is a situation. We're not giving
them these you know weapons, right, And that's the difference.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
I feel like that's the difference.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Now.
Speaker 1 (04:53):
It's like President Trump is all about like, look in
that situation.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
He what did he say?
Speaker 1 (04:58):
He said, he's a guy that you know, he talks
all nice and you know, then you go to bed
and he's launching attacks. You know, he goes and that's
not very good. That's not where we want to be
with something like this. He's very upset about it, no question.
It's like it's like Putin's bs ing him, you know.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Yeah. Well, and the other thing is President Trump is
totally focused on what's best for America. I mean that
that's you know, make America great again. That stuff that
he's been that's been his film, whether it's NATO, You're
gonna have to anty up more countries. He goes into
Tonato last month and he gets he gets that that
kind of a commitment from our our our allies in NATO,
whether it's making sure that the attack on the Iran
(05:35):
New Cloak facilities was a complete success, what he's done
with the border complete success. And now again we have
the uh, the the big beautiful bill, which I think
is going to be great for the country. He's totally
focused on that and he understands that, you know, the
way to Biden administration was dealing with this was not
the best way uh and I think to halt the
conflict in the war there and wasn't the best way
(05:56):
to make sure you're helping America. So he's focused on that.
And look, he's had outdating results both in his first
term and now his first seven months. I trust the
president that we're going to get there.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yeah, I think we definitely, we definitely could. And then
also yesterday was the one year anniversary of when President
Trump was shot in Butler, and we talked about it
earlier in the show too, and uh, you know that
that whole situation with it being a year later, we
you know, Paducheck and I were talking about it earlier
(06:28):
on the show. How you know we're still seeing I'm
still seeing stuff on social media where people are.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
You know that was that was stage. That wasn't real.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
And I'm like, well, we have a widow, we have
a widow and some children who don't have a father,
and a widow who doesn't have a husband.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Yeah, that wasn't stage. That wasn't fake.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
It's it's crazy to me how that continues to be
talking points at some point.
Speaker 2 (06:50):
Yeah, so it's crazy.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
No, it's it's crazy. And it was tragic what happened
to do. Ms Corey, mister comparatory. And I saw his
wife and I remember we had called left the message
with his wife too. Because some of the social post
media posting from from Corey. We're talking about some of
the same issues that we've we've been working on. But yeah,
(07:13):
tragic what happened to him and others. And then of
course you you you just look at God's providence and
and and the miracle that President Trump just turned and
looked at the big chart on the big beautiful chart
on the on the on the screen at the at
the exact right moment, and it meant that it only
hit his ear and nothing else. And thank the good
(07:34):
Lord of that that that providential moment was was was
right then?
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah, pretty amazing. Congressman Jim Jordan, I know we got
to cut you loose. Thanks for calling. I appreciate it.
You that guys, we'll see here all right, take care here.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
Yeah, yeah, that I and you and I haven't been
able to talk much. And I was kind of waiting
to bring it up with uh, with the congressman there
about you know, Trump given putin a fifty day ultimatum
on your brain, big huge, huge deal.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
This is this is, this is enormous. This makes me
a little nervous. I'm not gonna I'm not gonna like
candy coat it. It makes me a little nervous.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
But he's talking about five hundred percent tariffs on anybody
that does any kind of business with rush.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
It's like, look, we're gonna get you. We're gonna make
it painful for you. You've gotta you gotta play nice here,
you gotta that's enough with this, you know kind of thing.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
Well, and and look, his credibility after the Irenian attacks,
UH has been enhanced, his position has been stronger. What
what some people don't realize is, particularly when it comes
to foreign policy, when a president has a series of
successful things, whether they're domestic or foreign, like this president
(08:44):
has had, his power isn't an apex. I mean, it
is like, now is the time to be forcing some
of these issues. You'll see it with the trade deals,
You'll see it with other things. And I think this
is just one example with you know, President Putin has
to take this seriously.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
I mean, and I expect that he will.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Yeah, I don't know, I do you is it misplaced
that I'm a little bit nervous about. I think just
because we're dealing with such a such an enormous entity
in Russia.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
Yeah, well, I think Russia, China, any of the major
powers like that. When you're talking about all these things, Yeah,
you you would. I think it's just like normal to
be concerned about it. But that said, I think the
president is giving fifty days, he's laying and clearly yeah
in look again, you know you have to have to
(09:38):
consider it means something because he's just demonstrated that he's
willing to do what it needs to take to get
something done.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
Yeah, I just I the fact that we're selling them,
you know, weapons and stuff could be That's where I'm going.
Speaker 5 (09:54):
Oh, there are so many other things though, Mark the
cross could have crossed, that line, could have been a
in other ways that were done under Joe Biden versus
what's been done now.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
I'm not that concerned about it.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Okay, I think you know what I mean, No, I.
Speaker 4 (10:08):
Know exactly what you mean.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
I think that that that like there were I mean,
it was just such a.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
I can't use the word I want to say.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
Show under Biden, show yeah, show, yeah, that like this
has been much better managed than by Trump. Look at
he's given booting in the Russians a lot of times
to deal with this, and now he's his patience is
wearing thin. And the thing about it is is unlike
(10:39):
under Biden that he's been communicating what his intentions are
and what he wants.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
And Biden was never able to do that. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
Also with regard to the FED with jerown pal and
I I don't under he keeps trying to say this
is not political, and it absolutely is.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
There's no question it is.
Speaker 5 (11:03):
Did he cut a quarter half point before the election
last year? Yeah, and in our position since then has
improved exponentially. Again, I mean, he's definitely playing politics here.
I mean, and look, the Democrats take care of people
that play those games. I mean, look what they did
to you know, all the people that were part of
(11:25):
the Russia hoax and everything else like that.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:27):
So I mean they're they're going to have to I mean, listen,
I don't advise the president on this. I don't not
speaking for him or anything like.
Speaker 4 (11:36):
That, but it's irritating.
Speaker 5 (11:37):
It's it's about time for Jerome Pile to go. In
my humble opinion.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
Yes, and he's got over a little over a year
I guess left, and can he find You start looking
into this, and it's complicated. It's not as simple as
he's allowed to just cut him loose. There has to
be from what I read, there has to be certain
types of boxes that need to be checked in order
(12:02):
to get rid of the chair, the fed chair.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
That's not It's not as simple as just going you're fired.
You know, it can't.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
So there has to be so hopefully his people And
again we talk about this all the time. He's a
guy playing chess and so many people are playing jackers.
So he's hopefully got people that are kind of collecting
the data.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
That they need.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Look, I'll tell you this, the fact that we're talking
about this, I'm sure they're making all the preparations that
you're alluding to.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Yeah, and I and I hope that it happened sooner
rather than later, because I'm with you, I'm about tired
of watching a lot of people having to scrimp and
save and just barely get by. And interest rates are
huge in the American dream. We know how this works
with regardless as hard as hard as it or as
(12:52):
some people go, well, we're used to three percent, you know,
mortgage rates.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
I get it, those were ungodly, But to.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
Be like, like when I was growing up, my dad
always told me seven points eight point do you get
a mortgage seven seven and a half. That's great. Yeah,
that's like it was in the eighties.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
You know, I understand it more.
Speaker 5 (13:12):
And that was back when it was close to remember
it was like nineteen or twenty one or whatever under
Jimmy Carter. So you know, my dad lived through that.
I mean I lived through it too, but I you know,
you don't know, but you know our parents went through
that and they that meant something to them. Yet me
think of that, I mean, nineteen points on a mortgage.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, you could afford a fifty thousand dollars house. That's
about it.
Speaker 5 (13:35):
With that kind of or you just back then fifty
thousand was it
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Was like, yeah, exactly, you're exactly right,
