Well, second banana, if youwill. JD. Vance has entered the
the Colisseum, if you will. It's the Republican National Convention that's going on
in Milwaukee right now. So hecame in just a little to get to
he's a little bit ago. Yeah, Bernie Marino actually the one who formerly

(00:21):
introduced him and nominated him. Andthen Mike Johnson came in, who is
you know, Speaker of the House. And according to rule forty D of
the Republican Party whatever, forty Dis forty D, not w D forty
WD forty JDWD forty yes, andthey Mike Johnson declared that President Trump and

(00:45):
JD. Vance are now officially therepresentatives of the Republican Party for twenty twenty
four. JD is glowing, he'sfloating, He's got the world's biggest smile
on his face. It's incredible.I'm so happy for him and his family.
Man, I mean, that isthat is uh, it is so
cool to watch this. I'm gonnamiss j D. I'm gonna miss him

(01:07):
badly in the Senate. But he'sgonna go help President Trump turn this country
around and make us great again. And uh, you know, more importantly,
he can help. Let's get BernieMarino pushed over, and to finally
get rid of Sharon Brown, let'sbring in Congressman Jim Jordan, who's joining
us live right now. And Congressman, welcome to the show. This is
this is what a great day. This is fun to watch man, you

(01:30):
know, no, it sure is. And we're we're all excited about JD.
He's gonna make an outstanding vice president. I think we're gonna win.
I think JD's done a great jobfor our great state in the Senate,
and uh, he's gonna He's agreat pick, great pick. And I
thought it was gonna be him,and I was hoping he was gonna be
him, and sure enough, andyou're right. And we were watching him,
watching him walking walk across the conventionfloor. Him and his wife is

(01:53):
just as happy as could be.And it's obviously a huge moment for them,
but I think more importantly important momentfor the cun because he shares our
values, is gonna gonna go fightto those Yeah, no doubt. He
is an America first guy. AndI you know, it's it's a proud
moment for me as somebody who doesthis for a living because JD he is
a friend of the show. He'sbeen on, you know, several times

(02:15):
with us. Uh. And thento see Bernie standing there next to him,
who is United States Senator, hopefuland hopefully he can take down Shared
Brown, And I mean, thisis this is one of those days to
watch this all play out. I'mseeing it's a who's who, and then
I see him walk out. Hehe hugs Bob Paducheck, who's former l
RP chair, who's who's a friendof mine and is on the show.

(02:36):
He's a friend of the show. And I was just like watching all this,
I'm like, man, this isso cool to watch this and have
the connection that we have. Ican't imagine how you feel watching stuff like
this, knowing your colleagues with thesepeople and so on. It's got to
be very exciting. No, it'sexciting. I think it's an exciting time
for the country because I mean,I think President Trump's gonna win. Obviously,
we had this this terrible stuff overthe weekend, and you know,

(02:59):
thank the Lord it uh, hewas looking out for President Trump and and
he avoided uh, you know, avoided that bullet and and and then of
course you know he had all that, but I think it just makes President
Trump when his reaction literally leadership underfire. His reaction and the energy that

(03:20):
the country got from that, hisresponse, and then this today. I
think picking this young guy, thisyoung senator and what he represents for the
future of our country, I thinkit's it's great for our party, great
for the country. And again Ithink, uh, I think President Trump
and jd are gonna win. OnNovember fifteen, this is one of those
moments. Congressman Jim Jordan joining us, This is one of those moments on
Saturday, Jim that you you'll neverforget where you were when you saw this

(03:46):
unfold. Where were you take usthrough? Where you were what you were
doing when you saw that President Trumphad been shot. I was literally at
an event in Minneapolis, outside ofMinneapolis, helping to colleagues, and we
got in the car to had backto UH to our hotel, We're going
to dinner, and we just westarted seeing it on you know, on
Twitter, UH and and UH.One of our staffers who worked Force was

(04:10):
was just showing me and we couldn'tjust couldn't believe it. And of course
we were all relieved that President Trumpis safe, and and you know,
our hearts went out to the peoplewho were he just couldn't believe this is
happening in America. But our heartswent out to mister competoi. Uh,
the father who protected his daughter andwife and unfortunately lost his life, and

(04:30):
then the others who were injured. But you know, by the someone said
this providence, and I totally agreeit was. It was the Good Lord
to protect the president. He turnshis head as exactly the right second to
avoid that that that assassin's bullet doingany any other real uh, real harm
and uh. But then his response, his response, it will go down

(04:54):
in American history, is just trulyamazing. The three fish uh, three
fist pumps and him saying fight, because that's that's the attitude Americans have always
had. That's the attitude that madeus the greatest country ever. That's the
attitude that the early Americans I thinkhad when they came here and chased down
their goals and dreams and took onthis this this new country. I mean,

(05:15):
it's just like, that's that's America, that's the American spirit. And
you saw them displaying the guy whoI think is going to be our next
president. Yeah. When you seehim speaking to the different the different media
outlets saying, I'm not supposed tobe here, I'm supposed to be dead,
explaining that the agents hit him sohard his shoes fell off, he
said, and he was like howtight his shoes were. And then you

(05:36):
see him come up and he's,you know, pumping his fist and he's
saying fight, fight, and youhear and he once you find out later,
he was going, the people arestill here. I want to keep
speaking. I want to and thenlike, mister the president, we got
to get you. Well, misterformer, we got to get you out
of here. And I mean thewhole thing. You're right, he is.
He is everything you want in aleader times fifty. I mean to

(05:58):
see his his his resolve and howtough this guy is. I mean,
it's crazy. He gets shot andhe wants to keep telling people. I
mean, good lord, I'm gettingchills talking about it. It's absolutely uh
just absolutely crazy what we witnessed, unfortunately, and I feel like it just
it's almost like it strengthened America. We hope that that continues, because that's

(06:21):
really what this is about. Weneed, we need America stronger, way
stronger than it is right now.No well said. And it's and it's
that that attitude President Trump has, that he wanted to go back out and
talk to the people there. That'swhy there's such this such strong bond between

(06:41):
the supporters of President Trump. It'swhy you have thousands and thousands of people,
tens of thousands of people show upfor every rally they know as President
Trump says, and just about everyrally speech he gives, he always says,
they're coming after me because I'm fightingfor you. He says, they're
coming after your freedom, because I'mfighting for yours. There's this connection that
exists between President Trump and his supporters. You and you see that, and

(07:04):
that's why people love him so much. It's certainly why I care. I
mean that and everything else he doesthat just demonstrates what a leader he is.
That's why we appreciate him so much. And it again, it's why
I think we need him back inthe Oval office. And it's why I
think he's going to win. Youknow, Jim, it's almost like ten
years basically of NonStop He's the mostdangerous man in the world. Rhetoric finally

(07:28):
had consequences. And I think Ithink that's the sad part of this is
like, now all this, here'swhat bothers me, and I don't want
any for God's sakes, no moreviolence, no more just can we stop
this? We're Americans, but allof a sudden, now, well let's
come together and let's be united. So I just where was all this uniting

(07:48):
when you were saying he was Hitler, when you were saying that he was
going to destroy America, he wasgoing to blow the world up in a
nuclear war. He's the biggest threatto democracy. He's going to if you're
gay, lesbian, he's gonna throwyou into concentration. All of this over
the top stuff. The chickens finallycame home to roost Jim. And then

(08:09):
now, yeah, and while Iagree, you're sure whatever, but I
just it's hollowed to me, thiscall free unity after ten years of literally
daily demean demonizing the man and tryingto throw him in prison. Yeah,
it's it's it's amazing that you know, we've done the sequence of all the
things that they've you know, theybombing his campaign. Then it was Muller,

(08:31):
then it was impeachment, Then itwas raiding his home. Then it
was special counsel, then it wasthe Fannie Willis Alvin Bragg. Then it
was the gag Order, then itwas the fourteenth Amendment trying to keep him
up the ballot. Then it wasthen I mean, on and on it
go. So I think Speaker Johnsonwas right on target when he said,

(08:52):
you know, we need to toneit down, calm it down a little
bit. And I think that's that'sthat's accurate. And frankly, I would
argue, and I've said this manytimes, Republicans have condemned violence when whenever
it happened, we condemned it onJanuary sixth, we condemned it this summer
twenty twenty. But this was thiswas obviously political violence, but this was
an assassination attempt on the on theI think the guy is going to be

(09:13):
our next president of course, formerpresident. So this is this is truly
unbelievable. What what And this iswhy we're going to be looking into what
happened with that. You know, how was that individual able to get on
an adjacent brook rooftop and have lineof sight to the president nited state or
to the former president I State andthe leading candidate in this election. How

(09:35):
did that happen? We need toget answers to those those questions and others.
I want to talk. I wantto talk to Frankly, I want
to talk to the the police officerwho went up the ladder supposedly and saw
the guy on the on the roofand what happened. Then I want to
talk to the Secret Service agent whoultimately took down the assassin. I think
there's lots of lots of questions thatneed answers, and we're determined to get

(09:56):
this. So the Judiciary Committee willbe holding your ends with when do you
go back? By the way,Jim, when are you real? Yeah,
we're back next week. We've alreadyhad scheduled uh for christoperrat uh the
FBI to uh to testify, Sohe will be testifying next week. UH.

(10:16):
We got a briefing today, mister, the ranking member of the committee
and myself got to be a briefingtoday UH from from the FBI. UH.
They're they're the ones conducting the investigation. So our focus is the FBI,
the people are overseeing this investigation now. Of course, UH, the
Oversight Committee will be looking at theSecret Service and then of course the Homeland
Security Committee Chairman Green will be lookingat the Department of Homeland Security as well.

(10:41):
So we we we need all thosecommittees looking at this and figuring out
what what actually happened here. Andfinally, some really good news today the
Judge Cannon dismissing throwing out the classifieddocs case. I mean, that is
that is enormous some speculating this isthe biggest of all of the all of

(11:01):
the situations, if you will, with President Trump right now. But this
is a great start. And Isaw the you know, of course President
Trump on true social saying that therest of the cases should be thrown out
as well. This is a goodstart and fantastic news, no question,
yep, yep. Big day,big day for our party, for the

(11:22):
president, but more importantly a bigday for the country. And that decision
by Judge Cannon, I think isnot only a victory for President Trump,
it's it's a win for the ruleof law in in in our great country.
And so it's good to see allthis good news, uh today with
with this selection of Senator Vance, with the decision by the judge, great
day for the for the country.Congressman Jim Jordan. Thanks for taking a

(11:43):
couple of minutes with us. Appreciateyou. You bet guys see you see y
