Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Mark Blazer Show with Josh c Republican State Central
Committee District twenty. Kerrie Masterson is in studio GOP strategist
Bob Clegg and here as well. We're talking Issue one
right now. Trump is a recently endorses a no vote
for Issue one, and Gary, thank you.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
For waiting, and do you have a question comment?
Speaker 3 (00:20):
What do you got brother, Well, I'll tell you I've
got a comment. Put a comment for the panel. Uh,
this is going seems kind of strange, but in some
ways on the world's most foremost authority on poxhel plasmosis.
And please remember that name. It's one word. When women
are pregnant, they say, get the cat out of the house.
(00:41):
And there's a reason, but unfortunately don't know why every
time that cat coops.
Speaker 1 (00:46):
Hey Gary, Gary, Gary, do you have something on issue one?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Well, no, not on you.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Okay, Well, thank you. I appreciate you. Thank you for waiting.
And that's really what we're discussing right now. I appreciate that.
I guess they Retirement Group dot com phone lines a
two to one WTV in one eight hundred six to
n WTVN my apologies with regard to uh, what just
I'm still scratching my head over uh, over this situation.
(01:14):
That's like the third time. It's just a little bit
of a left turn. Look, I don't have a problem
with somebody going, hey, this is this is what's happening,
but it's not issue what we're talking issue one right now?
Speaker 2 (01:24):
That's all so I don't you know what I mean,
I don't want.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
To situate the conversation the hijacked because I don't have
two people here who are experts on that, Gary with
do we have any cat poop experts in anyone?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Anyone?
Speaker 4 (01:38):
I missed that course when I was.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
At Well you didn't take cat poop one.
Speaker 4 (01:42):
On one really? No, Wow, I thought it might be
a little messy.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
You've been jipped. I mean that is very very pertinent
to what you do for a living.
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Yeah, oh yeah no.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
So plusmosis is an a legitimate thing.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
It is, but it's just an entirely different DISCUSSI from
what we're.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Doing right right. No, And I'm not taking a shot
at Gary. I just know it's just it's just not
what we're doing right. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (02:09):
We were just talking about you know how issue won
and right now, once.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Again, it is a it is confusing for a lot
of Ohioans.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
And again when I have listeners that listen to us
Josh on a daily basis sending me direct messages going
this issue one thing.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Can you have somebody on to talk about it? Because
I am a little bit.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Confused and these are people who are ingrained in what
we do every day.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
That to me was the the the alarmed kind of
the sounding of the alarm. And then you know, Carrie.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Happened to kind of come along and I was just like, Oh,
this is perfect. And then she mentions Bob, I go, oh,
this is even more perfect.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
I'm like, Wow, We've got two people who.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Are experts on this, so it's you know, it's perfect
with regard to that. And here in the state of Ohio,
look the long and short of really, if you can't
a what exactly is happening with this U one because
it is complex.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Carry you mentioned that.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
It's going to be six pages of reading right at
the polls, right when you're in the brain, you're in
front of the little voting machine and that comes up,
you're able to look at stuff. You said there's going
to be six pages of reading roughly, right.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
And so somebody's going to be standing there that might
go I've seen a lot of yes votes for this,
a lot of nova where am I at on that?
And you start reading it is convoluted, isn't it.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
I mean it's going to be one of those things
where you're like, you're standing there trying to figure it out,
and if you don't go in kind of.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Forearmed or you know.
Speaker 6 (03:39):
What I worry about is something that long will deter
a lot of people from voting on.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
It, period.
Speaker 6 (03:47):
So they just which means are people that have to
vote no have to get through all of that and
make sure they vote no?
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah yeah.
Speaker 6 (03:59):
I mean it's people don't have a lot of patience,
and you know, I can see, you know, people just saying, oh,
I'm not going to forget that.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
I'm not going to go through it. I don't know it.
I'm just not going to vote, and they just don't
vote on it.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
So a no vote or I'm sorry, not a no vote,
but a non vote, a non vote, that's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
It's beneficial for us.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
Well, depending on I mean, if it's your listeners, no,
it's not beneficial to us, because your listeners should know enough.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
I think our listeners, though, especially after today's show, are
not going to have any doubts as to what to
vote because and by the way, Mark, can I say
this all the time? We have an incredibly intelligent audience
that listens to this show.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Okay not and a lot of them, most.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
The vast, vast, vast vast majority, will never call into
the show, but they're listening, and they're smart enough to
know what we're trying to say and what we are
trying to educate people on.
Speaker 6 (04:56):
Which is vital in an issue like this because we
don't have money.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
And they will spread the word to their friends and
family no vote no on Issue one.
Speaker 6 (05:07):
Used to be with issues when people were confused, they'd
vote no, which should help us. But I'm afraid with
the other side having all that money, they're going to try,
you know, to push their propaganda to the point where
people are going to just automatically want to vote yes,
even though they don't really understand what the issue is
going to do.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
And I was even pointing out to you guys too
that the commercials that are being run right now, they
show the last Issue one was a yes vote, and
that's displayed in the commercial even though they're talking about
the current issue one and the last issue one, as
you pointed out, was an abortion.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
So it was an abortion is subject matter.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Yeah, but they're going people who are maybe confused about
that or even a yes vote on that right here
in Ohio. They're like, no, I'm for that, you know,
the abortion thing or whatever. Then they go, I'll probably
be for this too, you know what I mean. And
they might be like totally against or should be or
would be totally against you know that or whatever. Hey, Mary,
(06:10):
welcome to the Legacy Retirement Group dot com phone lines
and what do you got?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Thank you for calling in?
Speaker 7 (06:17):
Okay, So I appreciate your comments, fire listeners. I think
we're insightful when it looks like every time we have
one of these issues, this is a constitutional amendment. So
what we're voting for is us to turn into California
every time we pass an amendment to our state constitution
(06:40):
and until people understand that they're almost irreversible after they
are passed. This is not an opinion poll. This is
an amendment to our constitution as escape, and I think
people this is where people get derailed on you know,
(07:01):
oh it's this issue. Well, no, it's an amendment.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Okay, thanks, thanks Mary, you agree with that? Bob, oh, Harry,
do you guys agree with what she just said?
Speaker 6 (07:13):
And I think Carry mentioned that earlier, that this is
an amendment that becomes permanent in our constitution makes it
incredibly difficult to Well, the only way you can overturn
it is by doing your own constitutional amendment and get
the signatures to get it on the ballot and you know, to.
Speaker 4 (07:32):
Do way with theirs and then put in what you
want to do. And that's so much money.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Because I was looking and over the weekend as a
matter of fact, on this.
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Realistically, if this goes through and if the the type
of people are going to be on that commission, I
know we're going to be on that commission. You're looking
at Ohio gaining three Democratic House seats minimum memory.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Yeah three. Now, don't tell me that doesn't matter.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
That matters when the margin of our majority in the
House is less than four. Don't tell me that doesn't matter.
It's a huge, huge issue. Now they can jerrymander all
they want. Donald Trump's went in this state by twelve points. Okay,
they can't change that, but to impact what could happen
(08:24):
in the House and future races. That is a big deal.
I wish people will grasp how big of a deal
this is.
Speaker 6 (08:31):
That's why they're doing it, and that's why they're spending
what twenty six million to get this thing passed. That's
the only reason they're doing it.
Speaker 4 (08:40):
To pick up seats.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
And they're going to pick up.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
At least ten more seats in the Ohio House at least.
And we know what's been going on with Democrats and
a small faction of Republicans in the Ohio House.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
That's going to give the.
Speaker 6 (08:55):
Democrats a lot more say in that hole.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
They pulled a coup to get speaker, to get that
speaker in. Okay, he when you're making deals with Alison Russo,
for God's sakes, you cannot be trusted.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
I'm sorry, you just cannot be trusted.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
Which, by the way, I think they're gonna draw her
a congressional district here in oh that Franklin County, so
that she's probably gonna run if this thing passes, she'll
be running for Congress in twenty twenty six.
Speaker 8 (09:27):
So yep, And voters should realize the twenty fifteen twenty
eighteen bipartisan andisiatives I mentioned seventy percent of voters past
that they voted for it. So you can't listen to
the Democrats' ads about this. They're lying just like they
lied last year, and they voted.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
The two Democrats right voted for the lines that we
currently have.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
It worked the way it was supposed to work. But
now since they didn't get the lines, the national Democrats
didn't get the lines that they wanted, they're coming in
now and say, oh, we want to.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
Change his system which is working.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
So for the people that are listening right to second,
who want to read more about this, who maybe were like, Okay,
I hear that Donald Trump has endorsed a no vote
for Issue one here in the state of Ohio November fifth,
he has endorsed that.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
So uh, but they.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Want to read more about it, or they want to
talk to family members somebody they love about it and
tell them like, look, you need to read this. Make
sure you're not just going off of I just saw
this at I am a robot.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
It's as vote yes, I need to vote.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
You know.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Where can they go? Is there a specific website? Sorry?
Speaker 4 (10:39):
There is one there.
Speaker 8 (10:40):
I'm hoping I remember it correctly because I didn't bring
it with me. It's like vote no Issue one dot org.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Maybe I can't remember that last part of it.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
Right, right, but they can contact you directly, right. Oh.
Speaker 8 (10:55):
Yeah, and the high Republican Party website.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Absolutely, yeah, it's a Republican State Central Committee District twenty

Speaker 2 (11:07):

Speaker 8 (11:08):
Oh you found that it is there is no Issue
one dot com vote.
Speaker 1 (11:12):

exactly what everything is fact.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
There's no opinion on there. It's fact correct. Yeah. Absolutely,
that's huge.
