Speaker 1 (00:00):
So the Reds start a three game set tonight versus
the Diamondbacks in Phoenix, and the Reds only half game
out of the play.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Had at rest, so it's a good night to play
they have.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
It's thirty four games remaining, so.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
This is going to be an up and down roller coaster,
bumpy ride to the end of the season.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
Just get ready.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
But this is way better place to be in than
Reds are nine games back, So half game is good.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
It's a good situation.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
I like where we're at going into the three game
set tonight because then they go in and play the
Dodgers at their place starting Monday, so they'll go right
from Phoenix and then they'll head up to Los Angeles
to play the Dodgers. So that's that's kind of my
Steelers got it done last night.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
I don't know if you watched.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
I didn't know.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
The final preseason game versus the Panthers. It was nineteen
to ten the final. I think Mason Rudolph is a bust.
I do not like what he brings to the quarterback position.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
He is junk. I'm sure he is a nice guy.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
As a matter of fact, there's probably a connection here
in Columbus that may even be listening yelling at the
radio or throwing stuff at the radio and going, don't
be mean. I'm just telling you, I'm sure he's the
nicest guy. And as far as Miles Garrett hitting him
in the head with his helmet that you know, we
know a couple of seasons ago, that was terrible, all
the way that played out, I just don't think Mason
(01:27):
he is not the guy. And we know that. You know,
we were calling him wheelchair rogers last night. He's gonna
end up getting.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
The stupid so mean.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
And that's not And look, I'm not taking a shot
at people will use a wheelchair or that are in
a wheelchair. I'm just saying this guy is old and
I got a feeling he ain't gonna make it to
even to the fourth game.
Speaker 3 (01:48):
I hope I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
I hope he takes us to the super Bowl when
heck you, what's an action.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
Again? I hope I'm wrong.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
And you know what, somebody's probably going, yeah, well, Blazer,
right now, he could outrun your ass. Well, yeah he could,
but I also don't play football for a living. But
could he outrun Let's say, let's start talking about all
the defenses. He's gonna have to try it out run
Kenny outrun. That's what's most important. And I'm allowed to
say what I'm saying about Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
I'm not gonna stab you.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
He's the only.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Quarterback, by the way, who's beating us in a Super Bowl.
Every time the Steelers have been in the Super Bowl,
they've won except against green Bay. So I hold a
little bit of a grudge with Aaron Ron.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
Green Bay is an anomaly team, you know, I can't
There's like maybe three Green Bay players in the history
of time that I might be able to name if
if I took a couple of multi vitamins.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
First.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, they're just I don't know. They're kind of like
what Notre Dame is to college football for me.
Speaker 2 (02:49):
They're in their own little thing. They're not part of
the legend of the NFL. It's like Green Bay is
their own legend of the people.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
The people own them, don't they.
Speaker 4 (02:59):
It's like they are a publicly owned team, which I
think is awesome.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
It is awesome, and you're right, it is an anomaly.
There's no question your.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Bengals play tomorrow at home versus the Colts that's at
one o'clock tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Did you know that one pm? Kind of an.
Speaker 1 (03:14):
Odd but you know what, it's pre Saturday final preseason
game for you. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Yeah, well I mean Saturday at.
Speaker 4 (03:19):
One before the book guys kick off next week. I
guess the Bengals gotta clean. That's one Saturday afternoon.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, because we know that we won't see Saturday afternoon
NFL football all the way until the playoffs. Right, It'll
be Sunday, Sunday night, Monday night, Thursday.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
Night, and no one will see us during Saturday football
when the book guys start.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Yeah, that's true.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Where are they? Don't ask?
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Just just leave them alone for like three and a
half hours and then you can have them back.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
I like what you guys are doing right now. The
Bengals are firing on all cylinders. And I think you
guys you pick right up where you left off last
week tomorrow, and then I think after tomorrow you're gonna
you're gonna start the season game one one, firing on
all cylinders.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
I really do.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
And when your Steelers come out, as will going to
be in there.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
No, No, he's not gonna be starting.
Speaker 4 (04:08):
No, no, not starting. But I'm just are you anticipating
him getting some game time. I feel like they've got
the faith, but not the confidence, if that makes any sense.
They want this guy to be what everything they need
would be, but it seems like they're a little hesitant
to pull the trigger and put him.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
Well, you know, he didn't do himself any favors by
hurting his thumb, and so that that slowed him way
down right now, and so it would it really would
have been better if we could have We would be
seeing him right now had he not screwed his thumb up.
But we'll see. We're seeing a lot of Jack saw
your boy. He was playing a lot last night. He's
looking great. But back to tomorrow, So the Browns are
(04:48):
at home versus the Rams also at one pm tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Oh, which means I don't get to watch the Bengals.
Speaker 3 (04:54):
Well, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
I'll have to see what they're on.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
I didn't research which channel they're going to be on.
So well, if.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
They're yeah, if they're both, let's say they're both CBS
games or whatever, then yeah, I don't I don't see.
Speaker 3 (05:05):
But I don't know for sure who's who's where tomorrow.
As far as the.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Far as the broadcast goes, not sure, you know, I
know you talked a little bit about what's happening in DC,
and I mean promises made, promises kept, and I know
you were talking about it last night. The DC crime
rates dropping. Carjackings down eighty three percent, robbery's down forty
(05:33):
six percent, car theft's down twenty one percent, overall violent
crime down twenty two percent, and so six hundred and
thirty total arrests, two hundred and fifty one illegal aliens arrested,
three of which were I think of the child molesting.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
Area.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
Three known gang members arrested, missing child recovered, eighty six
firearms seized.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
I mean it is, it is absolutely I mean, no
murders in a week in DC? Are you kidding me?
Speaker 2 (06:12):
That wonderful?
Speaker 3 (06:13):
I mean, it's it's it's crazy. Here's one of the articles.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
I saw DC violent crime rate significantly significantly lower. In
one of the more controversial moves of his second presidency,
on August eleventh, Trump sent National guardsmen to help.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Then they go on to say, ten days later, though
the early results are encouraging, this was not Fox News
This was not Who's the one News or by you know,
any of the other Trump friendly organizations. This was just
regular reporting. So for them to say that, I was.
Speaker 4 (06:51):
Like, uh, what, you can't deny the statistics. I mean,
the police union came out with these stats. You can't
argue with the guys that are out there fighting this
in the street. M They're telling you this is down
and so it is what it is, whether you like
it or not.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
So I love this that the President himself met with
the law enforcement officers who had been deployed to patrol
the city. This was yesterday, and the words of encouragement.
He brought Hamburgers, He brought pizza for the crowd. I
is there a I mean for a guy who's a billionaire,
I'm telling you, this guy is incredibly in touch with
(07:32):
what people respond to.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Is a he will read you. He's the kind of
guy that he takes, you know, visual cues. He's so
good at.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
This, and he is so despised. Now think about this.
He identifies so very well with you, regular going to work,
trying to make it, trying to believe in it, everyday
type of person. He identifies so much with you, and
yet he is hated by a certain faction of society.
What do you think they think of you? If he
identifies with you and they hate him, what do they
(08:03):
think of you? Yes, let that roll over in your
head a few times.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
Great point here was, I got a little bit of
the audio from last night. Let's listen to if we
can Zach attack, Let's listen to cut one.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
We're going to be rebuilding all of your parks and
it's going to happen fast.
Speaker 3 (08:18):
It's going to go up like a miracle.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
So you do the job and safety and I'll get
this place fixed up physically, and we're going to be
so proud of it.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
So good a victory lap of sorts as they're calling it.
The numbers are down like we wouldn't believe, but we
believe it. He said. Here's more of what he had
to say last night. Cut to Zach.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
Pny phone calls thanking me for what we've done in Washington,
d C. From people that haven't gone to a restaurant
in literally in four years, and they said, you know
what you've done is it's unprecedented because what they they
they said it was just unsafe.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
We've had some incredible results. The results have come out
and it's like a different places, like a different city.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Cut three, please.
Speaker 5 (09:06):
Act, you do the job and safety and I'll get
this place fixed up physically and We're going to be
so proud of it at the end of six months.
But let's say at the end of a year, this
place will be maxed out in terms of beauty. You'll
have all new surfaces, you'll have all new medians. Everything's
gonna look beautiful.
Speaker 3 (09:24):
Promise is made, Promise is kept.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
Jd Vance was with him when he went out and
I was talking to law enforcement, and you know, he's
cracking jokes with him. He's like, guys, I know you're
out here. You're out here fighting crime and arrest in
bad guys, and I'm giving you a hamburger. It really
doesn't balance out, but we just want you to know
we appreciate you.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Enjoy your burger.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
You know what that means so much to these guys.
First of all, anybody being this kind to them. Then
it's the president that's doing this, and that's a humbling thing.
I mean, did you see the pizza stacked up? I'm
watching this footage and there must have been hundred pizzas
there or whatever, and there was just a sea of
(10:03):
these guys, the law enforcement, the men and women of
law enforcement in the National Guard and so on.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
This has to just be making the dem see.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
They have to be seeing they are and what are
they doing. So now they're counter contradicting it. Well, yeah,
but you've got the troops and the federal police and
all the wrong places. Why they at Union Station? We
need them other places instead. First it was we don't
need them, Now it's you've got them in the wrong places.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Really.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
And then one of my buddies, I love him dearly,
but he's one of those Republicans who wants to tell
you how Republican he is. Anything associated with Donald Trump
he hates. And he puts something up on his Facebook
page yesterday about the restaurant reservations being down in DC
and I'm okay, prices will be up a little bit
(10:56):
for a while. Restaurant reservations will be down for a
little while. In the end, we win, isn't it about
In the end?
Speaker 2 (11:02):
We win? Isn't that supposed to be the goal? In
the end, we win, Yes, And.
Speaker 4 (11:07):
The restaurants are full again, and crime is down again,
and streets are clean again, isn't that What is a
little inconvenience to get to something better is what America
used to be.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
That's how we suffered together.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
Families had multi generations living in the house so they
could save up enough money to buy that first car
or to buy their own home. Instead of renting a
house for a grandma and grandpa, mom and dad and
the five kids. They suffered for a while to get
to something better. We've forgotten how to do that, man,
and it's frustrating.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
I also want to say to your friend whoever posted that,
remember this is not overnight. It's not an instantaneous thing.
This takes time, and it starts with cleaning up, you know,
city by city. And this is something that I really
wholeheartedly believe that he believed Eaves can and will happen.
(12:02):
Also Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgham, he was with
him last night as well. And you know in some
of the footage you could see Doug standing in the
background just watching when Trump had the mic and he
was talking and so on. And then he was on
Fox News this morning, the Fox and Friends and Doug
was talking to Ainsley and you know she was talking
(12:23):
to him about this whole thing. But he had an
interesting point when he was speaking to her last this morning.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
Brother, and listen to this.
Speaker 6 (12:31):
One of the special things about being the Secretary of
the Interiors. You have an opportunity to work with five
different law enforcement agencies, and the one that's got the
biggest impact right here in Washington, DC is the US
Park Police. This is an organization that was founded by
George Washington none other in seventeen ninety one. But why
they've been re empowered by President Trump in twenty twenty five.
(12:54):
You just had the stats up there. Crime is way down,
but morale is way up across the over a dozen
federal agencies that are all deployed working on this. And
you can ask any of the Cabinet leaders Pam Bondi,
Pete higgsth Cash Bettel, christynom any of us that are
working with these law enforcement agencies say say, the enthusiasm
(13:14):
rale is through the roof because they know that President
Trump has their back. He's not just backing the blue
with words, but he's backing it with actions and with support.
That's going to actually turn this around.
Speaker 3 (13:26):
And when Washington, d C.
Speaker 6 (13:27):
Becomes the safest capital in the world. It becomes a
role model for the rest of the world, becomes a
role model for every city in America.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
He said, the four magic words there. Morale is way up.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
That is where this starts. It becomes infectious.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Think about how long these people have been told defund
the police, get rid of the police.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Police don't matter, We don't want you.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Men and women are blue, You're evil, You're what's wrong
in the United States, and you're against you know, brown
and black people.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
And that is what I think is going to get
this turned around.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Morale is way up, and like yesterday, and we're watching
this whole thing play out with Trump and getting this
That is infectious. Man, watching this and as you can tell,
I'm fired up.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
I absolutely you should be.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
I love watching this play out in real time and
you watch it's gonna get better and better and better.
And once again, promises made, promises kept.
Speaker 4 (14:23):
You know that old phrase, the proof is in the pudding,
and Donald Trump is bringing you pudding. And you can
keep telling people how miserable they are. All the networks
can say you are miserable and you're broken, you have
no hope and there's no future, and you're gonna look
around and go. My kitchen cabinets are full, my kids
are wearing decent clothes. I've got a little money and
checking in case the car breaks down. What are they
(14:45):
talking about that? You're pudding right there? You're gonna see it.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Yeah, I'm so happy to be seeing this, and I
can't wait for more of it. The next up city,
I don't know, but I hope it is soon, and I.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Hope it's Can you imagine that
