Speaker 1 (00:00):
I was giving him the one of the headlines for
some stasia so and.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
I have a good one too. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
Yeah, so there it is. She's looking to go one
in a row.

Speaker 3 (00:10):
I've got to get back on a winning streak in
some capacity.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Yeah. So that so right, now, let's bring.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
A marsh I got to tell you, Marshall, John Yeah,
we we el Marshall. Sorry, I forgot to tell.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
You, Marshall. I have been told about to talents for
mixing drinks.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
I did, Marshall. I outed you as the liquor wizard,
so I've been called worse.

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Okay, I didn't know you took classes.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Stacia said, you take it so seriously. You take classes
though it's so much fun.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
So our friends at Lawbird over on High Street actually
do classes. There's usually one once a month and they
do different things and and it's it's about sort of
the history of whatever. So for example, we did a
whole class on rum's our um r hum and cashasas

(01:10):
and they're all similar, but.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
It's about.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
But it's about the history of where did it come from?

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Did you know that?

Speaker 5 (01:19):
I mean we think of we think of rum as
coming from the Caribbean, and there's lots of sugarcane and
that kind of thing. Did you know that that sugar
is not actually endemic to the Caribbean.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Turns out it came from Papua New Guinea.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
It was brought over by the Europeans, and it grew
so well and became such an enormous crop that it
became part of the huge industry in the Caribbean. And
so now there's all the rum industry and all that
kind of thing. But it's learning those kind of things
and some of the history and that. Okay, what do
some of these tastes like and why are they different?
Why is this one made this way? This one is

(01:52):
made this way, and this is why they're so different.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
Marshall, With all of that, if if you're you know,
listening to someone talk about it while you're tasting it,
by about the third one, I'm I probably start forgetting.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
You're not learning anymore.

Speaker 5 (02:08):
No, I'm just like about this one, this one to
remember their their tastes not show.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
So it's just it's just distinction. Yeah, it's technical.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Now you can taste a little bit of it, but
it's not like you're not walking out of it, you know.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Bleary Eye was it.

Speaker 4 (02:28):
Like you're like, when you go to the wine tasting,
you're supposed to spit into a spatoon.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
I mean like wrong, wrong, not me, this patoon.

Speaker 5 (02:38):
It's called my belly and and we have we have
little little you know, it's a dump cup that you
can like, I'm not you know, you just dump it
in there when you're done and you taste it and
then yeah, you don't walk out schnockered.

Speaker 3 (02:51):
So basically he knows his stuff.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I mean, like, you weren't kidding you started.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
You are an expert.

Speaker 1 (03:00):
You miss it.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I'll say it. I have one mix Jack and coke.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
That's it. Am I positive with that? Marshall by the way,
because you know me, the glasses always half full. I
said to him, I go, well, you're never gonna be
in a bar where they go. We don't have Jack
Daniels here, So I was like, you'll always get a
Jack and coke no matter what bar you're at. You
know which, And here's the important part.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
If that's what you like, then get it, yep, and
don't let anybody tell you there's anything wrong with it.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Yeah, yeah, I like it. I like it. Yeah, I
have people sometimes, you know, I've posted different drinks and stuff, Marshall,
and I'll be I have people either even post right
under it take shots at me because they're like, give
me your man card, you know, or whatever because it's
some sort might be a margarita or some of some
of those mixed drinks that I've posted and then told
you about. And people will send me direct messages and

(03:44):
be like, dude, how could you put that out there
that you like that?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Jack?

Speaker 1 (03:48):
And I'm just like, what, Like, what does it matter? Yeah, world, Josh,
all kinds of crap. When you start talking about White Claw,
you know, I remember when we first started, people are like.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
And you know, I've I've had the thanks to Awaken
one eighty and and just other things. I've lost sixty
pounds since January of last year.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
And one of the things it off and kept it off.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
And one of the things I've done is I don't
drink beer anymore. I'm not saying I won't ever have
a beer. But we drank some real American beer yesterday. Yeah,
we had.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
We had whole coachdy we did on the air. Did
you like it? Oh? Yeah, I liked it. I liked it.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
I don't care the fact that people look at me like,
you know, cause I've got you know, I've got a reputation.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I kind of have a big loud mouth, and I.

Speaker 4 (04:33):
Say yes, I kind of say something wow that information,
and like, you know, people who see me out and
about in the social setting will be like, what, white
white claw.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
I'm like two hundred calories, two grams of carbs. But
he puts Tito's in it, so well.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
He could put Tito's in it or I just you know,
use it as a chaser for my crown.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
It's also not the only thing you drink. It's not
the only thing I drink.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Right, you enjoy that on occasion, you know, sometimes there's
nothing much more refreshing than a big old gurly cosmo.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
And they're fabulous, right.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Right, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
But Margarita, I love Margarite. I love a really good margarita. Yeah.
So if you like it, you like it. And that's
the end of it. So you're nobody can tell you
what you're allowed to have. You can have.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
You want to have a purpan, have a purpon, you
want to have a cosmo, have a cosmo.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
That's right, And if anybody gives me any more stuff.
I'm gonna referm to you, Marshall, talk of Marshall planting it.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
It is a beautiful evening to be out on a
patio tonight. It is gorgeous out there right now. We
are going to see some sunshine for the next few hours,
and the sun goes down at about twenty after eight,
so you've still got plenty of time yet to enjoy
the outdoors.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
It is quiet, it is.

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Comfortable, and overnight we're going to drop into the mid
fifties again, so not quite record setting again, but it's
cool for this time of the year.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Tomorrow here comes the warm up.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
Eighty five lots of sunshine, will add a few clouds
on Saturday eighty eight in the afternoon, ninety on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (05:58):
Monday's up to ninety two. Marshall, thank you very much.
Seventy eight right now, why can't it just be fall?
So Station again is here in studio with us, and
Rodney Dunagan is with her as well from ABC six
Fox twenty eight. Rodney now is doing the seven o'clock
with Stasia, and then pretty soon we'll be doing the

(06:20):
ten o'clock and the eleven o'clock as well. After Bob retires,
So seven, seven.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
Eleven, and then you will be what's five and six
looking like her?

Speaker 1 (06:32):
Is there no plan? Or eleven?

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Six is still a mystery at this point.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
As you, Josh, they're going to hire you. There's a
reason I'm in radio and not television. Okay, ah, yes
there's that. But you guys are you're looking for a
new person, are you?

Speaker 2 (06:46):
We are.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
We are putting it out there. We'll see what the
search holds, what that looks like, and we'll find out cool.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Yeah, we'll report back.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Stay tuned, all right, we shall. I think it's going
to be runny. I don't know. I don't don't really
know anybody that was.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Laser's putting his vote out there.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
All right, it is time for stomped. Stay. We have one, two,
three headlines today, like we always do today, You're going
to choose the fake news station fake news all right now,
because we have Rodney here, we are going to have
Rodney read one of the headlines. I will then read one,

(07:30):
and Josh, of course we'll read one, so so we
each have a headline to read. Station. You gotta figure
out the fake news. You're going for one in a
row during we get something here we go, Rodney, your headline.

Speaker 2 (07:42):
First, Okay, I will go with this one. Swimmer claims
athletes have found worms in Olympic village food.

Speaker 3 (07:52):
Full swimmer claims the worms found in the food worm.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
The Olympic village food. Okay, those are low in carbs though,
and you need carbs.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
In the Olympics.

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I'm sure there are certain forces in the world that
want us to eat nothing but bugs and worms and grubs.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Yes, yes, and no no.

Speaker 2 (08:18):
How about New Marshall has had a tequila with worms?

Speaker 1 (08:22):
Yeah, yeah, they say has worms. No the tequila. Don't
start any rumors here, Okay, Josh your headline please.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
Stasia kangaroo makes drivers late to work.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
In West Virginia.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
In West Virginia, I thought this was totally going to Australia.

Speaker 4 (08:48):
Malay, Mom, funny, kangaroo makes drivers late to work in
West Virginia.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
That's funny.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
All of them are angry too. What is it every
time you see footage of the kangaroo, they're I was
trying to hit them.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
They're not nice.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
But meanwhile, if you go to the Columbus Zoo, you
could walk through their enclosure. In there, they could jump
around you and be near you. They don't try to
punch you or anything or not that I've been experienced.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Sure.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Yeah. By the way, a baby Joey, a.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Little head Pokemon kinds of kangaroos, like some are more
aggressive than others.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Yeah, I don't know. The ones I always see are
I've had karoo. By the way, it's not my favorite meat.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
There's a there's a jerky place called Tommy's Jerky, and
they had kangaroo.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Kangaroo jerky.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
You get kangaroo, you could get elk, dude, it was
everything you wanted elk jerky. Well, dude, Joe Rogan's a
big fan of the elk because it's the leanast meat,
tastiest lenus meat in the world.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
About the kangaroo meat, especially West Virginia, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Bison was pretty good. I'm not that Yeah. Ted's Montana.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
Yeah, they had a bison burger.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah yeah, yeah, I mean you got to do something
to it because it's a little dry, but but but
but it is. It is not very fatty. It's not
very fatty. Yeah, coming from a buffalo, well, a bison,
you would think it would have more, but it doesn't.
It's pretty lean. So anyway, all right, thirtain final headline.
Diner destroys restaurant when server tells him they are out

(10:30):
of ranch dressing.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Oh no, I know.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
You gotta have ranch dress. How many times have you
gotten home and you might have gotten something that requires,
you know, a sauce of some and it ain't in
the bag.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
This is the only sauce that my kid will eat.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
It's only ranch. Some ketchup, but ranch. So many times
have you gotten home from Taco Bell and you're like,
they did not put my sauce. I always checked, though, now,
but I always checked that.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
But quite frankly, I would have I would have kicked
that guy's butt because I'd be happy I was at
a restaurant with no ranch.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Yes ranch, Oh okay, all right, so special you are
picking the fake fake news out of all these.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Okay, Swimmer claims worms found in the food of the
Olympic village. I know there were issues with the food
at the Olympic Village.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
I remember hearing about that.

Speaker 3 (11:18):
I don't remember specifically hearing about worms. The kangaroo makes
drivers late to work in West Virginia. I feel like
we would have aired that video in our newscast. Especially
it's just West Virginia. It's like right across the border.
And then the diner destroys restaurant because they're out of
ranch dressing, which I mean, that's frustrating, but don't destroy

(11:39):
the whole place. I think the fake news is the
kangaroo in West Virginia.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
No, No, that is real. The fake news. Mine's the
fake one. They didn't destroy the restaurant when they were
told they were out of rot.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Well, that's good news. Things I would have thought that
was true to you. Hear so many crazy stories from everything.

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Yeah, that means there were worms in the food at
the Olympic village.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
So basically what happened is that a kangaroo got on
the loose and got onto a major freeway and they
had to shut it down Monday morning.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Yeah, you would think that would have been like a
national story or whatever.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Because it's West Virginia.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
It's just a kangaroo. Kangaroo right. Wow.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Well, my losing streak Continues've been counting this

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Up, traffican weather together
