Speaker 1 (00:00):
And now for the good news, really good news segment,
well happy news. I should say, these Texas teens use
a lemonade stand to raise money for flood victims. It
was a fourteen year old Briley Livesay, raised over six
hundred dollars for flood victims and caught the attention of

(00:22):
local police for good work. And when I saw this headline,
I go, man, please tell me these cops aren't going
you got to break it up or somebody show up
and go you don't have a license to you know
what I mean. I was like, please don't let this
be one of those stories. And it wasn't. It's a
good story. These kids showed up or they showed the
rather that the youngest community members can make a big

(00:44):
difference during tough times. And it does sometimes with these
kind of stories. It does kind of give you hope
for these young kids today. But I think this is
a really good This is a really cool story, even
though I don't know, I just feel like, with all
the negativity in the news cycle right now, is like,

(01:06):
let me just interject a little bit of positivity. But
the bird Song Families children ran their own stand. They
donated all the money to the affected camps. As a
matter of fact, the Woodard family son aim to raise
a thousand, getting close to their goal in one day.
So I think too, when people walk up to buy

(01:27):
some lemonade in this situation and they know what it's
going for, they probably you know, hand them a twenty yeah,
and get a glass elimonade or what have you. That's cool,
just cool. It's a feel good thing.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Anything that shows kids doing something proactive and positive usually
makes me happy. Yeah, because you know, eventually they are
the adults when we are too old to do anything,
and to know a few of the good ones are
going to be out there as a comforting feeling.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Also, we're watching during the break where these I guess
there was a raid on a couple of different pot
fields weed fields in California and they picked up I
guess two hundred immigrants migrants there, yeah, illegals.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
And as they're driving out of that area, I mean,
they're being pelted with huge rocks, and I mean I
was telling you, I'm like, you know, God blessed the
people driving those vans in the our ice agents who
are exercising all kinds of restraint in this situation, because
any of those projectiles could have come through any of

(02:33):
those windows, smacked them in the side of the head
or whatever. And you know what, I'm tired of. You
know what just burns my ass when I see people,
these idiot Democrats online with their reply to when you
see people going, look, the ICE agents are just doing
their job or whatever they go, you know, and uh,
you know, the people at Elschwitz were just doing their

(02:55):
job too. Oh, come on, what kind of a comparison
is that you.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Gotta work in Nazi I mean, that's just your thing.
You gotta work in the Nazis in order to sound
like irrelevant.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
I don't even understand someone trying to use that as
a relevant comeback.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
It's like, what at this point, the Democrats think everybody
was Hitler except Hitler.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
That's pretty accurate. I think that's pretty accurate. So to
why God bless these Ice agents who are doing this?
And I told you, I'm like, how is it that
they're able to just assault these federal agents and nothing
really is happening to any of these people. Why wouldn't
they take them into custody as well? Why wouldn't they
jump out in that situation because it wasn't like there

(03:38):
were thousands of people. It literally looked like there might
have been what what did you see? Ten people? Twenty
people that were throwing stuff? Yeah, why wouldn't they just
slam on the brakes, throw it in park? And anybody
who was hurling stuff at them? Now you have attempted
assault or attempt at you know, whatever it is. Take
them into custody too. You need to be a pain

(03:59):
in there. Yep, right now. If they're showing up doing that,
there's footage of one guy it looks like he's actually
opening fire on them. What am I missing here? How
is this continuing and allowed to continue to happen? The idea?

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Well, I mean we were talking about the same thing
in Columbus earlier. Until bad guys are prosecuted, and now
let's start seeing some prosecutions. These these are federal agents,
so it's a federal offense. Round them up and prosecute.
And of course you'll be Nazis and Gestapo and Hitler
and all that for doing that too. But it has
to start somewhere.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
It's unbelievable. Hey, are you you think you're smarter than
a sixteen year old.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
In a general sense?

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yes, could pass Ohio's driving test.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
I believe so.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Yeah. I saw this and was like, ooh, I'm intrigued.
So I clicked on it and I took it. Yeah,
I do. I got ten out of ten. All right, good,
I did it first try.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
By the way, all you uber drivers, just hold your positions.

Speaker 1 (05:03):
If someone answer this. This is all multiple choice, just
like a driver's test.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
If someone is consumed alcoholic drinks, what will help the
person overcome the influence of those drinks?

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Time?

Speaker 1 (05:20):
That's it, you got it. I was going to give you.
I didn't even have to give you.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Nope. If he doesn't do it, all you got is
a wide weight drunk tomato.

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Juice and lime was one of the choices.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
No, you'd ad vodka to that and just get drunker.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Hot coffee fresh air. Time time is correct when is
a driver permitted to turn right on a red traffic
signal when the driver is stopped and checked to see
that the turn will not interfere with crossing traffic when
signs are clearly posted to allow a right turn on

(05:56):
red only at the direction of a police office sir,
after first slowing and verifying whether the turn will interfere
with other traffic and pedestrians.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
In the state of Ohio. A would be the.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yes, that's correct. I got a feeling you're gonna get
all these And what's interesting is they try to trip
you up with A and D yes, very similar. That's
called it rolling. Yeah, exactly. It's called the rolling stop
unless it's posted otherwise. The speed limit in a residential
area is twenty five twenty five. Yeah, they had twenty

(06:31):
thirty five and fifteen on here. I did stare at
fifteen for a minute during my choices. I was like,
I think it's twenty five. If it's not posted, you
just have to assume twenty five is the speed.

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Limit and the post it is school zone when the
light is flashing and the school is lighting out, or say,
is twenty miles per hour. I don't care how close
to my rear bumper you are. It is twenty and
that's what you're going.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
The closer you get, the slower I go. Amen, is
what I've heard from people. Then you cause road rage,
and then bring me your rage. The application for an
operator's license must be signed by the parent or guardian
when the applicant is under what age sixteen twenty twenty one,

(07:21):
eighteen eighteen. That's it, when traveling on a highway divided
into four traffic lanes, which vehicles are required to stop
for a school bus that has stopped to unload children.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
This one is good because I've actually had Columbus police
officers on the air with me to discuss this and
had them contradicted by an attorney the next day.

Speaker 1 (07:43):
Well, the correct answer is, and I don't care who
you are, what you say, a judge, whatever, the laws
in Ohio are only vehicles approaching the rear of the
bus traveling in the same direction as the bus, not
the other two lanes of the four lane going the
other way. Why would they stop? Children are not allowed

(08:04):
to cross there all four lane, right?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Children not supposed to cross all four lanes of traffic.
And there's also I think some there's a disparage or
not a disparity between what is a divided highway. If
you got two lanes going east two lanes going west,
is that divided? Well, some say yes, others say there's
no concrete barrier in the middle, so it is not divided.
I think that that that session of the legislation probably

(08:28):
needs to be tweaked to be more clear about what
divided is and what is.

Speaker 1 (08:31):
I would take that as an implied divided Whether there
was concrete there or not. You've got two going one way,
two going there. That's a four lane divided highway, period,
end of story. Whether there's a physical barrier there or
divide or not. You know, that's the See people don't.
They don't apply any kind of common senses. There you go.

(08:54):
That's the problem. When a stop is required at an
intersection and no markings appear to indicate a stop line
or crawlwalk, which of the following is the appropriate place
to make a stop. The driver's not required to stop.
The driver is required to slow down and make sure
crossing traffic is clear only at a place where driver
can see at least two hundred feet on either side,

(09:14):
without regard for the intersecting roadway. At the point nearest
the intersecting roadway, where the driver has a view of
approaching traffic on the intersecting highway before actually entering the roadway,
that will be it D yes, I yeah, Then they
they ask for my age during this. This is a

(09:34):
little test I took online. Child restraints are required for
this one. I feel like I can read all of them,
but your eyes will probably glaze over. But you know,
you having grandkids and you're so close to this, I
guarantee you know.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
The end and well and again this there's a debate.
Child restraints required for an age versus age and wait.
Backward facing sea are for an age and weight and
in various interpretations. So we try to play it safe
with the little ones. You know, if they're really little,

(10:10):
you keep them backward until such. I think it's I
think it's I want to say, see this is where
the queen comes in, but I want to say twenty pounds.
If I'm not mistaken, they can face forward.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Yeah, it doesn't. It doesn't go over that part. This
gets really really specific. Yeah, you know, age of four
and weigh less than forty pounds must be properly restrained
in an approved child safety seat while being transported into motorva. Also,
any child who is at least four years of age
but less than eight years of age must be properly
restrained in a booster seat, unless the child is four

(10:44):
foot nine or taller, so the height comes into play
at that point too. These are pretty interesting. What's the
most important driving technique? To avoid crashes when driving on
icy or snowy conditions. Add extra weight to the vehicle
to improve traction. Get off the highways as quickly as possible.
Engage four. We'll drive on the vehicle, reduce speed and

(11:05):
increase following distance. I just it's funny, but you know what,
there are people who are currently driving our age Chuck
who probably would fail this thing miserably.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
I mean, it's sensible to add some weight, especially if
you've got like a pickup truck or something with an
empty bed on it. But I mean the fourth choice
is probably the legal choice, which is to reduce your
speed and increase your distance.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Yeah, it's common sense once again. And then two vehicles
at an intersection at the same time. I went over
with this with Josie as she's you know, she's nineteen
and she learned not too long ago. I went over,
I'm like car approaching from the right always says the
right away. I told her that in this situation, when
it's two vehicles arrive at the intersect same time, which
one has the right away? When no signs are signals

(11:47):
indicate rules, I told her, I go the one to
the right always, you know, I explain all this to her.
She's finally really starting to really come into her own
with that. She's turning into a pretty good.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
Drug now here with If the vehicles are coming from
opposite directions arriving a four waistop at the same time,
who goes the one?

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Who who goes first? Yeah, the one who stopped first.

Speaker 2 (12:08):
What if they arrived at the same time, Oh.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
At the same like like exact, I that's a toss up.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Then I don't think it matters if you're both going
straight through. Now, if one of you is like turning
left in front of the other, Oh, okay, then whoever's
going straight goes first?

Speaker 1 (12:23):
Yeah? Yeah, man, if you're both.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Going straight through, I don't I don't think there's a
law about that. That's another one of those things where
common sense just comes into play.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Right, And if you're both going straight, you're right. That's
the part I keep I wasn't thinking about when you
were saying, and I kept thinking left turn in front
of someone or whatever. That's right away. So yeah, if
you arrived at the same exact time and then somebody's
turning left in front of you or whatever, it's just
a wave wave through or they wave you through. If
it's at the same time, it's like whatever. What I

(12:51):
hate is when someone sitting there and they stopped before you,
and then you pull up and they wave you through
and you go. You posed to go knock it off
with that. We could already be through the intersection if
you hadn't waved me through. And I'm staring at you
and you're waving. I'm going that one.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Let's follow the rules that everybody gets home safely.

Speaker 1 (13:10):
That's it.
