Speaker 1 (00:00):
Show, oh man, all that time away in the building.
(00:32):
It takes you a minute to get your motor reband,
don't it.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
You've you figured me out? Yeah, there you go.
Speaker 3 (00:39):
And so I had I had to run back and
get a little, uh you know, a little of this
for myself, and so I I thought for sure I
had enough time. But clearly I was walking back up
and I heard the intro.
Speaker 1 (00:51):
Let's carry mine in my pocket because it's really small.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Yes, I see that. Well, were you so? All right?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
So let's start with it wouldn't be a Monday without
just a small emergency.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
But it was. It was well, let's put it this way.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
It sounds like it actually could have been a big emergence.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
It could have been worse, yes, but it's.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
Turned out it was not too big of an emergence.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Well, as I said when I walked in the door,
if your life has to be ridiculous, at least it
can be funny. And and today, yeah, it was absolutely
once again funny because I'm I'm cruising around. I was
so happy, got the lawn cut, the grass is green.
In spite of uh, you know, everything I expected. I've
got blue skies and sunshine and everything just looks so good,
took a hot shower. I'm like, I'm gonna smell good
(01:39):
from my boy blazer.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
What about Zach No, I don't care.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
Tracked his attention. I'd wallow in some woodlands and then
come in. But everything was good, and I'm ready to leave,
and I'm like, okay, time to go. And I put
all my stuff on the scene of the car and
I went, I need my Awaken one to eighty afternoon
snack energy shot thing, right, So I went back into
house to grab one and came back out and and
(02:04):
and my stuff was all on the seat of the car.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
Oh right, the locked car. Yeah, Oh well, no big deal.
You just can't take out the You have a key
fobord you have to.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
No, not on that old beater. There's no farely a key.
My gosh, a paper clip and a prayer could start
that thing. So I own a lockout kit that I'm
very bad with.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
And where was that hopefully not locked?
Speaker 1 (02:29):
It was it was in the Explorer. I could get
to the Explorer because it has a punch code on it,
so I can get into that.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Aha.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
So I was able to get to that and realizing
this is going to take me seven maybe eight days
to get into the car.
Speaker 3 (02:41):
Wait pause for a second. I've never owned a vehicle
that had the punch code before. Yeah, have you ever
started punched in and you go, why isn't this opening?
I swear that is my code? And then you keep
punching and you're like, what is going on? I mean,
could that actually if the battery dies? Yeah, if your
batteries that's not working, then you're not getting in the
(03:02):
vehicle at all. Right, So the punch code you've never
had it false? Or you're like what you fat fingered it?
If you will, or you know what I'm saying, like,
you know where you have a typo?
Speaker 1 (03:11):
But it's okay, that's a third one of those I've
had on a Ford vehicle.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
I love them. Wow.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
See I've never had that, But I've always kind of
stared at him and been like, I wonder if that
would be written, because man, I am laying brained. I
will do I will do exactly what you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
What happened to you today? But anyway, continue.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Well, realizing I had that kid in there, I got
it out and the queen saw the flash of orange
in my hand and came out and I don't. I
can't question her past. I don't know what she does.
But she's just like give it here, and she I'm
really I'm surprised. I'm surprised the wheels are still in
(03:49):
the car. She was in and out so quickly that
I'm like, are you like a key a queen? Are
you one of them?
Speaker 5 (03:54):
Wait?
Speaker 3 (03:55):
So it was a lockout kit. Yeah, what's in the
lockout kit? Like a thing to break the window?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
No, it's a there's some various size inflatable bags. You's
got like a blood pressure thing on it. Oh, yes,
and wedges. Yeah, put in there to kind of prop
the door, and then you put the inflatables in and
they will they'll hold it open while you put the
rod in. And yeah, she was just like zoom bang,
and I'm I seriously need to do one of those
background check things.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
So it like it props the window open just enough,
just enough to get the rod in there. And then
the rod rod you can use a hooked end and
grab a handle, or you can use an angled end
and hit the unlocked button, or whatever seems appropriate to
the car you're dealing with. Yeah, I've now I had
a guy come to the house one time because I
did this, I locked the you know, the fob in
(04:48):
the vehicle, and they came to the house and they
did that, and they stopped just before the window's gonna
because that has some pretty good flex to it, actually.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
The windows. But I was watching him, going, you can
bust the window. You can bust it.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
And he stopped and then it opens it just enough
to where you can get that down. And I was like,
that is genius. But you can buy those. Yeah, clearly
you own one. Yeah, but I was like, wow, forty bucks.
They'll go from my twenty five up to ninety five,
I suppose. But for forty bucks or so, you can
get a very nicely equipped breakout kit or lockout kit
on Amazon.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
And I don't know if they're legal or not. I
don't care. I need it in my car.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Well, and they are legal, you just can't use them
for illegal stuff.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
That's the thing.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Okay, you think about it, You would have it for
yourself everything else in the world.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
But where would you keep that? Probably in the vehicle.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Well yeah, but what you want to do is, you know,
make a Christmas gift of somebody that you can always
count on. So hey, here's a lockout kit for you,
just in case I ever get locked out.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Merry Christmas, exactly, man, exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
How was your weekend?
Speaker 5 (05:48):
Good?
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Overall? Pretty good? Yeah, yeah, I'm kind of scared because
I'm not used to that, as in having a good
weekend or yeah. Yeah, it was just pretty pretty pretty
calm overall. Not no, no, craziest no. Yeah. The bird
was in a fireplace. That was about the craziest.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
Guy.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
It's like it came down through Yeah, it was again,
it fell through the chimney.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
I guess probably nesting up there on the top of
the chimney, and yeah, it fell down. And so I'm like,
why the heck is the cat staring at the fireplace
because it's got the glass doors on the right and uh.
And once when I'm walking through there, I hear, wait
what was that? And the cat looked at me because
now you get it, I'm like, oh, And I said, lupa,
(06:31):
did you know about that? She said, that's a cat,
So you know.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
That's a cat thing, not me. I don't care what's
in there.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
So yeah, that that was about the craziest thing that happened.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
All right, So it was it a terrible ending.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
It was a terrible ending. Yes, exact, that's wrong. It's
a long fall down the chimney.
Speaker 7 (06:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
Oh man, I hate when I probably shouldn't have maast
Now I'm like, Daddy's gonna be ruined.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
My gosh, I'm just saying I don't. I don't like.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
Hearing write an article said it is aware. I was
having a wonderful day. He told me about his.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
Bird saw karate kids legends. I do have to.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
And the reason I'm bringing this up is because I
know you were skeptical and you were like, well, actually
you were like, nah, I don't want to see it.
I think were you even Scott, I can't. I thought
I thought there was something negative connected to it. When
I brought up the fact that some of the summer
movies that were going to be coming up.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I was, I don't know, it's some of them I'd
never even heard of, which kind of you know, And
and the rest were like, you know, I know what
you did this weekend, and I want to I want
to hear that it was a good time, because so, yeah,
I want this to be a good thing.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
And I'll tell you why this was even connected to me.
You know, when I saw Janet Jackson in Las Vegas.
And the part of this is what I've been busted
down to in my life, Chuck. Part of how I
enjoy something now and I rate said event is based
on whether or not it becomes political or not.
Speaker 2 (08:09):
That's really what's happened in my life.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
Did Janet have anything political?
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Janet had zero zilch to do with anything political.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Hi, miss Jackson, because I'm nasty, and that's it.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
That's that is part of good. What made that an
enjoyable experience for me.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
There was no underlying something flashed on the screen that said,
you know, stop, I don't know fill in the blank,
some sort of message, some sort of blah blah blah.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
There's none of that happening that will get me to
go a Springsteen Nope, Cougart Nope, nope. I'm not gonna
go and be lectured to look unless I could go
and look in them and face and say, look, you're
not good enough that I have to listen to this crap.
Just play the songs and say good night.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Yeah, far as I'm concerned, nobody is good enough for that.
And I'm talking one way or the other. I'm not
just being one side. Don't want to hear that. I
came for the entertainment. I don't want to see some big, huge,
you know picture of Trump, you know on the screens,
the big screens and the wherever were there was nothing political.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
What it was was about the music. End of story.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Now, if said song has some sort of political meaning
in it, then so be it. But I just meant
an out and out speech or something kind of what.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
You allude to that.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Now, what you just said makes me really scared of
what you're about to tell me.
Speaker 3 (09:28):
No, see, karate kids legends, nothing political, really say, that's
part today, and that's why I preface it with that. Now,
so we'll go towards the actual movie. This was a
I feel like a PG PG thirteen type version of
what New York City would be like right now, because
(09:49):
that was the setting. New York City was the setting,
and so yeah, there was you know around the corner,
I'm going to the pizza place or whatever, And I'm
like you and I both know that's not how New
York City is right now. You go just about anywhere
there and someone could run by and just you know whatever,
whip a mashety out and like start trying to hack
you up, But.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Babe, give me my kevlaw. I'm going for pizza.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
That's it exactly.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
So, given all of that the movie had, it's a
it's a it was refreshing. Man, My eleven year old
sitting there. Josephine even wanted to go. It was nineteen
and so we were we saw this movie and it
was good.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
It actually was good. Jackie Chan was great. Edit good.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
I don't want to hear that too.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
He was Jackie Chan, the Jackie Chan from you know
the movies, Rush Hour movie, you know, that kind of
a Jackie Chan.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
It's like seventy two.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Now, I think, well, and he looks at you know,
he's he let he's gray, and he's is he uh no, no, no, no,
no Miagi.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
He's a different guy, but was friends with Miagi.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Well, so it's got to be old. That's yeah, makes
sense correct.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yeah, and then of course, you know LaRusso ends up.
Speaker 3 (10:57):
You know, Ralph Machio, he's like, thank god I got
a job again.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Well, no, man, because after Cobra Kai that was that
was like the first thing anybody had seen him in forever.
Oh yeah, suddenly he's a property again. He's got to
be ecstatic.
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Oh, I'm sure.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Actually he's I don't know what he's worth now, but
I'm guessing Ralph maccio is he's okay, he's doing okay.
Speaker 2 (11:19):
This was something that.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Was just icing on the cake, I think for him
as far as this movie goes, and he's.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
Got a lot to do with it. But man, it
is a it's good.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
It's kind of a wholesome kind of movie, you know,
good versus evil.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I mean, it was like, I go, now, that's what
I've been missing.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
We have so many movies that have so many underlying
and some that hit you over the head with any
kind of political statement or.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
What have you. None of that happened in this movie.
None of it.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
So there it is really really good. Was any Peter
Satara music featured in the soundtrack?
Speaker 2 (11:50):
I did not hear.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
It is without the power of love.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
I mean, you know, we didn't hear any of that. Now, No, no, no.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
That would have made it perfect. The music in there
that would have made it perfect.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
Like a throwback, you mean, like something already made, not
something Peter Satara would do.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
Jacking chance, just listening to an oldiest station or something
like that. And it's stuff that would have been nice.
That's interesting. I didn't even think about that. But the Gloriola, Yes,
this happens to be on the radio, right.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
I was gonna say, I don't think Satara would because
that's another thing Jenny and I were talking about prior
to going to the movie, were like these movies sound
There are no movie soundtracks anymore.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
You know how those used to be.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
They would go to the artists and say they went
to Huey Lewis for Back to the Future and whichever
one they were. You know, the Power of Love was featured,
you know, his song the Power of Love.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Huey Lewis and the News.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
And he was talking about her little clip actually him
talking about saying they came to that and he said, look,
I'm not gonna write something specific, but I do have
a song I'm working on if you want to use
it in the movie, and boom.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
That's the way that it worked.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
But some of these artists will write a song specifically
for a movie they're asked to do.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
But that doesn't happen anymore.
Speaker 5 (13:04):
No.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Well, remember I mean when Footloose came out. Well, we're
playing music in bars and you could drop the needle
on any groove on that album and stand a good
chance of a hit. I mean that, I'm that was wonderful.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Yeah, yeah, absolutely, I think right now a lot of people,
of course, the warm weather that we're having is a
topic of conversation, especially in this area this week, because
I don't know about you, but I am so over
these forty three for a low, forty five for a
low night. I'm done with it. And also in addition
to all of that is this stupid smoke from Canada. Again,
(13:37):
here we go again.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Did we do this a couple of summers ago?
Speaker 2 (13:41):
We did it last summer?
Speaker 1 (13:42):
Was it just summer? It was okay, Look, no more
back bacon for you people. If you can't control your.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
Force, back bacon.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
And now they're saying, as a result, it's messed with
our highs. In other words, chuck right now, it's seventy seven.
It would have been, it was originally predicted eighty. Today
we've lost a couple of degrees because.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
Of this smoke. The sun is not as intense.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
This is why they'll never be the fifty first state.
Speaker 3 (14:12):
It's irritating to me too, because I thought we were
going to get to ninety on Wednesday, and now that's
backed off to eighty seven for.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
The high Ah.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
So I don't know about you, but I'm taying.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
And they said, you're going to catch a whiff of,
you know, a campfire kind of smell. What is happening?
Why do they keep having these fires every year?
Speaker 1 (14:29):
And if this is going to keep happening, should we
not just put really big fans up on the north
side of Michigan and blow up crap back at them
because exactly what why are we suffering because they can't
control themselves?
Speaker 7 (14:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Is Stone? We were having the conversation yesterday.
Speaker 3 (14:41):
I go, Stone, we should just get a bunch of
people with saws and start sawing across the northern border
and let's just cut them loose.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Let's just separate.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Wouldn't that be cool if you could actually do that?
Because I had some serious plans in mind for Toledo
if that was.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Possible, leave them as part of somehow car them out somehow.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
Michigan wanted them one hundred and some years ago. Let
me have them. They're Toledo. I don't like the shape
of the state with them up there. It needs to
curve on that side.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
Hey, the bolder terror suspect, by the way, we didn't
forget about that's kind.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
Of a main story clearly today.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
Suspect charged with hate crime, which brings up the question
is is hate crime worse than regular crime as far
as the way it's punished. It is, it is, But
but really isn't the crime anyway?
Speaker 2 (15:31):
So more on that straight ahead.
Speaker 3 (15:33):
So we will, we will, we will get to that.
As a matter of fact, we have a law enforcement contributor,
retired senior Secret Service agent who's going to join us
a little bit later and we'll get the very latest
on that whole attack that happened in Colorado.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
No podcasts on six' TEN wtv dot.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
Com all, Right, so like we were kind of pointing
out and let's see if it's, real let's see if it's.
Legit Chief Videologists marshall McPeak joining us And MARSHALL i
was saying, earlier AS i heard somebody say that because
of this smoke or you, know whatever is coming down
From canada, wildfires that it actually did back us off
(16:12):
a few degrees from the high that we normally would
be experiencing because the sun's intensity isn't as.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Intense is that?
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Yep that's actually, yeah, sorry we actually call it, insolation
so incoming solar, radiation and that is part of what
warms us up when the sun is beaming through the
sky and it gets to our surface and then warms things.
Up so our incoming solar radiation is diminished a little,
(16:41):
bit much in the same way that it is on
a cloudy. Day but what happens is as those as
those the rays of the sun are coming, in they
get they get split out by some of those smoke,
particles and it's part of the reason why it's got
a slightly different color and why the sun rises in
sunsets are a little bit different.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Color all, Right so THEN i guess my other, question that,
is AND i THINK i know the, answer but, overnight
as far as, like for, instance tonight is the UH
i didn't, SAY i was just looking at a forecast
that came. OVER i haven't seen yours, yet BUT i think,
You chuck said you sent, it but clear, sky clear skies,
Tonight so does it act Even, well that's that's just.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
It to your.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
Point we're gonna call it clear, sky but it's probably
not gonna be a good night for stargazing because of
the smoke in the. Atmosphere so on a, nice, beautiful clear,
night you're gonna see all the stars and they'll be
sparkly and. Gorgeous but with the smoke in the, air
it does the same thing where it sort of refracts
some of that light and it can be kind of,
(17:45):
hazy and so the next thing you, know you're not
really seeing the stars the way you would if it were.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Non, smoky, right but there won't be. Clouds does that make?
Speaker 8 (17:56):
Sense?
Speaker 4 (17:56):
Yeah well, yeah so not, clouds, yes, clear but still.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Smoky, right hazy that's causing it to not be as
crisp looking when you stare into the.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Sky the big question is is everything In canada that's?
Flammable is it? Burned? Now are we done with this
after this? Summer or because, SERIOUSLY i can't do another
summer starting off this.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
Way oh AND i don't want it to be around all,
summer that's the other, thing because how many.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Times do we deal with? This last year is?
Speaker 4 (18:24):
Crazy, well and here's the interesting part about that, too
is that the surface air quality is still. Fine most
of this is spending its time way up in the
atmosphere twenty thirty thousand feet or more so at the.
Surface we don't have air quality issues because the smoke
is still way up there in the. Atmosphere at the,
surface we're doing, okay so it shouldn't be affecting your
(18:47):
allergies very. Much you still got enough tree and grass
pollen to take care of. That but the smoke itself
is not actually causing air quality.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Issues.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
Now you remember a few years ago some of that
did mix down to the surface and we did have
some air quality issues because of. It right, now all
of that is still staying, aloft so it's affecting the
way the sun. LOOKS i don't know if you've seen
the sunris or sunset in the last few, days but
it has been sort of an extra hazy orange and
(19:19):
that's because of that wildfire. Smoke so how long more
of that coming? Tomorrow in the, meantime mainly clear overnight
tonight fifty five for the overnight, low which is pretty
close to average for this time of the. Year but
tomorrow afternoon eighty, five just a little, muggy and eighty
seven On, wednesday.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
All, right thank, you. Marshall it is seventy eight right,
now so just out to the.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
Top of the hour we'll have a law enforcement, contributor
retired senior circuit Senior Secret service. Agent he'll be joining
us and we'll talk a little bit more about the Whole,
Boulder colorado and the. Suspect. Now and you, KNOW i
sent a note To Brad copwell attorney and six to
(20:05):
TEN wtv and legal. Analysts AND i sent him a note,
earlier a, goo, hey is there a for as far
as you, know same, crime hate crime have stiffer sentences
than non hate, crime same. Offense and he, said, yep,
yep is what he sent. Me and so this guy's
being charged with a hate. Crime And i'm sure you've
(20:28):
seen the. VIDEO i had not literally watched the video
till this morning of the, Takedown like would they?
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Do AND i say.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Takedown they started approaching this coward and he dropped right
down and put his hand, spread right, down face, down did. Everything,
now there was a that cop coming toward, him was
a very large cop who HAD i don't know if
that was a taser or an actual, Pistol i'm not,
sure but he had something pointing at. Him and when
he walked toward, him the guy put his hands, up
got down and laid flat on his face and then
(20:58):
they cuffed him without incident or. Whatever this guy with
his makeshift uh fire the flame.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
Kind of flame. THROUGH i don't even know what it.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Was it was like a makeshift like if you Took
aquinet and a you, know and it was And i'm
using that as you, know that makeshift like. That it
wasn't something that he had like a backpack on that was,
feeding you know WHAT i, mean like you can buy.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Those you can buy, Those, chuck you can buy.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Those what was scary to me that night WHEN i
was getting the reports out Of, colorado there was also
an incident down In, Gatlinburg, tennessee which apparently was not
domestic or otherwise terrorism related to CAR i guess plowed
into some people that. Teristary, yeah like within an, hour
And i'm, like, oh Dear, heavens don't let this. Start
it turned out not to, be BUT i HAD i
(21:44):
had some tense moments for a few hours that night
BECAUSE i didn't know if what they were connected or.
Speaker 3 (21:48):
Not, yeah this was against a Pro israel group. Advocating
he was that that's the violence was against the Pro israel,
group and he was that is. Advocating by the, way
For hamas to release The israeli, hostages so on and so.
Forth but this guy's been charged with a hate crime
involving actual or perceived, race, religion or national.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Origin charged with murder in the first.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Degree the interesting thing, is and nobody has passed from,
this correct That i'm aware.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
OF i don't think anybody was. Killed, no there were
lots of, injuries, correct several. Injuries, yeah the burns and so,
on just.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Horrific if you were, there wouldn't you, Know just when
you thought you've heard it all or seen.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
It, ALL i was, like what is?
Speaker 3 (22:37):
It what is this like somebody with a makeshift flame
thrower going after these?
Speaker 2 (22:42):
People like how sick is this?
Speaker 1 (22:44):
GETTING i don't get any of. IT i don't get
the you, know These american spoiled Little Felicia karen brats
doing stupid stuff like. This free all, man your, butt
first of, all would probably be a living as somebody's
lap dog in The gaza strip right. Now so you're
talking about something you don't even, understand and the whole
concept of Anti. Semitism i'm, SORRY i don't get. IT
(23:05):
i don't GET i would not know if you were A,
jew if you were sitting in this room with, me
unless you, said by the, way my name Is, Irving
i'm A. Jew, okay now you're A. Jew what is
it that you look at somebody and, go, oh You're?
JEWISH i hate. YOU i don't get the whole concept
of Anti.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
Semitism he was, arrested taken to the hospital with, injuries
run for their. Lives that's the group that had gathered
that he and, THEY i guess they gather every. Week
and so during this, attack he was yelling Free. Palestine
and as you probably, heard he's here.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Illegally oh, yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
His visa has expired a couple of months, ago and
so that's.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
It he was here.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Illegally AND i was showing that this morning to my.
Kids i'm, like those are the, people those kinds of
people that are here. Illegally, now not everyone here illegally.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Is as bad as this, guy but when you.
Speaker 3 (23:59):
Start getting rid of people here, illegally you start getting
rid of these types of people and those people that
have the potential to do these kinds of. Things AND i,
said that's why you have to be legal if you're
going to be, here not that people here legally won't
do something horrific like, that but you also want to
root out these kinds of.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
People BUT i, said this is the guy who's here,
illegal and he's.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
Not here illegally from over. There he's here illegally from down.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
There. Right.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
Uh He's egyptian as far as IS i don't even See. Egyptian, yeah, okay, yeah.
Yeah his name Is Mohammed Savory. Solomon, okay, yeah and He's.
Egyptian He's, egyptian is The, yeah none of this makes
sense in.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
Him it really is, confusing but it will come. Up pleaser.
Speaker 7 (24:46):
Show, hey thank you for.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Listening Mark blazer.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
With Chuck douglass a two to ONE wtvn one eight
hundred and six to ten W, utv and you, know
you can join the conversation you want to join. Us you,
know we were talking about the The boulder attack AND
i was just, reading, WELL i just saw the terror,
attack highlights rise of anti semitism of course In. America
but he's facing hate crime and murder, charges which was
(25:31):
kind of a question mark for me BECAUSE i always
thought murder was associated with someone.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Dying, yeah very rarely does any want to kill you
because they don't hate.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
You and that's the other thing too with it being
a hate. Crime it's like being charged with a hate.
Crime you are not going to usually take someone out
on purpose that you don't hate or, dislike at least on.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
A i think the level it is unfair to victims
and it is actually unfair to the to the accused as.
WELL a crime is a crime is a, crime and
you know why you committed, it what you're. Philosophical we
went back on Your facebook and saw that you don't
Like somali, people and you happen to kill A somali,
guy so it's a hate. Crime, no it wasn't A somali.
(26:13):
Guy it was a guy who was in the way
of the money THAT i was trying to, steal SO
i put a bullet in. Him got nothing to do
with his, Race is? That it JUST i just killed.
Somebody and you, know if My american brother is shot
and killed by, somebody but his crime is not prosecuted
the same way as somebody who was from another land
(26:35):
or another religion or, whatever that would offend me as
the family of a victim. Member why the hell aren't
you going to prosecute somebody for killing my people the
same way you prosecuted for killing that.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
Guy, yeah and it's it's something which is a whole,
separate you, know. CONVERSATION i, guess as you, know away
from this particular. Incident but you're, right it makes a
lot of sense what you're, saying you, know it.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
Does it makes a lot of.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Sense he's joining us, NOW Abc News Law enforcement, contributor
retired Senior Secret service. Agent It's Don mahollock joining us. Now,
don welcome again to the. Show how you been, man good?
Speaker 6 (27:13):
Brother how about you? Guys have you? Been?
Speaker 2 (27:14):
Hey we're doing?
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Good you, KNOW i, mean are your people talking About
mark's conduct on the golf. Course i'm just.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Wondering, No, no he's, okay so far, nothing nothing's come up.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
Yet and he brings this.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
Up i'm glad actually you know, What, Chuck i'm glad
you connected these dots just now BECAUSE i. Forgot but
just real, Quick, DON i SO i was In vegas
last week AND i was on a golf. Course there
where a couple Of Secret service agents rolled up on
us and they, said we need to search your, bag
your golf, bag and it was you, know the guys with,
me WHICH i. WAS i booked my tea time as just.
(27:50):
Me the three guys THAT i was, with they DID
i didn't know. Them they just put me with, him
and So i'm thinking, IMMEDIATELY i, go oh my, god
these guys.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Are wanted there with me or.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Something and, well it turns out that they certain that
the vice, President Jade vance was on the golf, course
and so they came up to vet us and they
had wands with them and.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Everything so we went through the whole.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Process but it was a Whole it was an interesting,
thing needless to. Say they're not many people who end
up in that situation on a golf, course right while
the vice president is literally teed off and is on
the other side of the golf, course and the guys
rolled up and anybody that was out, there they were
just vetting them right on the, spot you, know kind
of a.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Thing so kind of.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Interesting BUT i don't, Know i'm guessing you've never been
involved in anything like, that but it's pretty normal.
Speaker 6 (28:40):
Procedure, yeah it's it's.
Speaker 5 (28:43):
Normal it's kind of what happened in The roofs situation
then and then In florida when with that attempted. Assassination
it was actually that's forward element the guys that comes
front of you and your and your three golfing.
Speaker 6 (28:55):
Partners they were.
Speaker 5 (28:56):
The guys that Confronted ruth and Found ruth in the.
Speaker 6 (28:59):
Bushes and part of the.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
Job they roll, ahead they, probe they check, Things they
checked people and make sure things are things are, safe they're.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
Okay they push people out of the way if need.
Speaker 5 (29:09):
Be so, yeah we ruin people's golf games generally wherever we.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
Go that's got to be the worst part of being
ON vip detail of Secret service when you've got a,
president vice president whatever that wants to be a man
of the. People, Away, hey, guys let's let's pull over
and get some pizza up. Here they're, going, oh, seriously,
seriously we took.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
We Took President clinton through the McDonald's drifter to get
a Big mac one time during his, Campaign so you,
know we do what we got to do to get
your job.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Done that happens a, LOT i bet you with With President,
well ACTUALLY i think a lot of times they just
send people after his stuff and he's not literally on
site when that, happens because we know he likes Big.
Speaker 5 (29:48):
Mac so, yeah, Well President trump is the only president
and president Of. CANADA i know of that actually worked
in McDonald's because he's here In. Pennsylvania he did a
campaign stop in the McDonald's not far from WHERE i.
Lived worked to drive through for almost an, hour Serving
Big max and servant fries.
Speaker 6 (30:04):
And you know all that kind of.
Speaker 5 (30:05):
Stuff so that which was a surprise that most people
coming in to get Their Big max.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Fix, Right AND i would imagine you had people stationed
outside that you, know had to you, know they had
to get through secret service just to get into order.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Anything i'm thinking probably that was.
Speaker 5 (30:21):
The most secure McDonald's in history of.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Exactly that's very very.
Speaker 3 (30:26):
Interesting all, Right so the elevated threat level, now and
we've all seen the footage for the most, PART i,
think don of you, know this scumbag In colorado and his,
makeshift you, know a flame thrower and what he these
horrible this horrible thing that happened to these.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
PEOPLE i believe there are eight of.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Them but, yeah so the ongoing worry about soft targets
and so. On so what are your thoughts on all of?
Speaker 5 (30:51):
This, well it's you, know it's interesting because Since september,
eleventh two thousand and, one we as a nation have
been on ele threat status because of all the terrorists
interest IN. Us the problem, is nowadays the terrorists have
an easier way to incentivize and mobilize, people and it's
called The. Internet The internet is. Prolific there's a lot
of areas in a dark web where people can go
(31:13):
and become. Radicalized hence we've seen more lone wolf attacks
now than, before which makes it hard to, find to
mitigate or to. Stop and in addition to, that you have,
this you, know with The Hamas israeli war over, there
you have this heightened increase of threats coming from that
(31:34):
which is well known in this nation and amongst law,
enforcement which brings me to the question a case of
balder is how was a guy like that able to
get close to A jewish, event An israeli, event carrying
two cans of a clear liquid which clearly looked suspicious
and there was no law enforcement.
Speaker 6 (31:54):
Around AND i don't think we have that, answer ALTHOUGH i.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
Was told that they did try the liaison.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
With the local.
Speaker 5 (32:03):
The local law enforcement with the local police there about
the heightened security.
Speaker 3 (32:08):
Threats SO i guess the other part of that was
it looks like it was an outdoor. Event you're, right
AND i don't know if you have any of that
information or if it's even. Available don about how long
it did take law enforcement to. Respond but, yeah when
you roll when a guy like that rolls up on
a scene and there is no law enforcement present, whatsoever
(32:30):
no security, presence it looked it appeared that way he's
this is happening within seconds of when he rolls, Up i'm,
guessing and you, know just short of them standing there
law enforcement or any kind of security. PRESENCE i don't
know how they stopped somebody like. This it looked like
kind of an open area unless you have more.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
Information, well that goes that goes to the whole issue
of soft targets these.
Speaker 6 (32:53):
Days there's you, know.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Unfortunately everything these days is a. Target local you, know
local little local, events the, parades.
Speaker 6 (33:01):
Everything else has become a. Target we've seen.
Speaker 5 (33:03):
That over the past couple of, months a lot of
these terrorist, groups terrorist organizations that have mobilized and radicalized
individuals online and have turned loose to these people who
are predisposed acts of violence against specific, groups to target
and and do whatever they're going to Do Greek mayhem
on these local. Events SO i think we're at the
(33:24):
point now we're local, officials local law.
Speaker 6 (33:26):
Enforcement state, official state law enforcement.
Speaker 5 (33:28):
Really need to look at any of these events with
an eye on security and create as a secure bubble
as they can around the, event no matter the, size the,
matters the scope of the, event to make sure that
there is some type of there's some type of security
apparatus in, place especially where we know that there's a
there's a heightened threat status against The jewish people and
(33:51):
anything is rarely these.
Speaker 3 (33:52):
Days, yeah that that, exactly you, know given we're right
on the tails of the Two israeli embassy staffers that
were shot to death In washington right outside, there the
terror attack of, course as we, know In New orleans
on The Year's, day and it's this group is Called
run For Their, lives which is it's a grassroots organization
facilitates global run and walk events calling for the release
(34:15):
Of israeli hostages held By helmas and that particular chapter
meeting on a weekly.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Basis that was according to the local police.
Speaker 3 (34:23):
There and, given like you, said the heightened, threat the
Anti semitic threat right now and it is ultra, heightened
you would think that they would have people in place
and they're going to have to spend the money anybody
like this in THE us kind of to your, point, right,
RIGHT i know.
Speaker 5 (34:42):
My overriding question for this particular. INCIDENT i, mean you,
know one of my local schools by where we lived
at The diary Of Van frank last, year just a
couple of months after The hamas, attack and there were
police officers in security at the school because of the
nature of the. PLAY i really think we're at the
point now where if we don't take the threat, seriously
(35:05):
and although they're not specific threats or general, threats but
if you don't look at things through a threat matrix
where we are an increased, threat a heightened, threat and
take some proactive measures to protect against that, threat you're
just going to see more of these incidents happen and
more people getting, hurt and where potentially had a police
officer police officers been, there that might have been able
(35:26):
to stop the guy before he threw the first.
Speaker 6 (35:27):
Cocktail hey?
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Done Is? Colorado the state Of colorado generally known as
a place where you can get away from stuff or
get away with stuff because of lackluster. SECURITY i, mean
we've Had mexican, gangs drug, cartels and now this going
on in that. State colorado just seems to be an
easy target. State is that just my perception or is
that kind of a thing for.
Speaker 5 (35:47):
THEM i think the problem With colorado is you've got
a mix Of you've got some of the areas Of
colorado have some lackluster enforcement, priorities and then you've got
also the mix of a state WHERE i, think you,
know access to firearms is relatively.
Speaker 6 (36:02):
Easy and that's not a knock on the first on you,
know on on the Second, amendment.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
But it's just a.
Speaker 5 (36:08):
Fact lackluster, enforcement easy access to, firearms a lot of
a lot of stuff going on the internet that's radicalizing.
People you, create you create a deadly mix. There and
unless you're paying attention to to the, signs you're paying
attention to the to the threat, intelligence and you're and
you're taking some preventive steps to protect. People thinking happened
(36:29):
In New orleans On New Year On New year's even
In New orleans police that they couldn't imagine an attack.
THERE i don't know how in his day and, age
you can't imagine that one of these events won't be.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Attacked, yeah they have, To they've got to put these
measures in place in every one of these instances, now
because better to have the you, know the security there.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Than, not no question about.
Speaker 3 (36:53):
That HE'S Abc News Law enforcement contributed Retired Senior Secret
Service Agent Don. Muhallack, don thank you very much for
jump on with us, today lending your.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Expertise thanks for having.
Speaker 6 (37:03):
Me, guys take, Care thanks.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Brother, Thanks you.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Get more than two people together for anything these days
are of potential target and that's that's a sad thing
to admit in this.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Country it.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
Is you're, right it seems that just when you don't
have it in, place you have something that, happens you,
know kind of like.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
This you need to have.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
Something and that's not to say that it still would
have stopped this guy from attempting, it but, man you
would have probably had less, carnage if you. Will and
that clearly is the Gold Tran sports.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
And The Mark Blazer show on six y TEN. Wtv,
man what.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
A, gorgeous, gorgeous gorgeous, day owing it more?
Speaker 2 (37:51):

that because of This canadian crap, too or is that
just the way things?
Speaker 2 (38:29):
Go, no it's just the way things.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
GO i, mean normal is seventy, nine so By friday
we hit This thursday we hit an eighty degree normal,
high so the thirty year average doesn't get to eighty
until Until. Thursday SO i mean we're actually above normal
For tuesday And, wednesday and then pretty close to normal
for the end of the week and end of the.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Weekend so it's not too far.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
Off but we've been below normal for the last eight,
weeks it.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Seems, yeah it feels like that.
Speaker 4 (38:56):
Anyway so, yeah it'll it'll be really warm and muggy
for a couple of, days and then it'll actually be
pretty close to.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Normal beyond. That for a little bit.
Speaker 4 (39:05):
Tonight down to fifty five, degrees we'd call it, starry
but it might be just hazy enough because of the
wildfire smoke that it may not be a great stargazing.
Night fifty five for the eventual Low tuesday eighty, five
so a little warmer than it was today and a
little bit of mugginess out. There and then On wednesday it's,
hot it's muggy eighty. Seven it's gonna feel more like eighty,
(39:27):
eight eighty, nine and a chance for some storms On.
Speaker 2 (39:30):

in an effort to deliver aid and raise international awareness
over the ongoing humanitarian. Crisis this was part of the
press conference That i'm reading from the cop whatever the
part of the you, know the verbiage from. It and
(41:57):

Speaker 3 (42:28):
Know she goes on that we're doing this because no
matter what odds we are, against we have to keep,
trying because the moment we stop trying is when we
lose our human when.
Speaker 7 (42:39):
We lose our.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Humanity and see a good reporter would, say but we
need to keep trying to what to What greta to
what we've gone come to us.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
Young people for, hope how dare you.
Speaker 7 (42:55):
Hoop?
Speaker 2 (42:57):

Speaker 3 (43:00):
Uh no matter how dangerous the, mission it's not even
nearest dangerous as the silence of the entire world in
the face of.

Speaker 7 (43:26):
Bring out your dead.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
Dead yet not dead. Yet. YEAH i don't.
Speaker 3 (43:33):

the whole silliness with. It AND i don't know now
