Play one of the best courses, not only in the state,
but I'm gonna say it gotta be one of the
top twenty golf courses in the world, possibly in the world.
And I'm talking about of course Mirefield Village, the tournament course,
you know, where the Memorials played, and it was the

media outing yesterday. But yeah, I think after all said
and done, after yesterday they'd gotten almost three inches of
rain in that place, and you know, a lot of
people there. I was hanging out with Matts, Dave Metzeled
of course from Fandel Sports or the Jackets if you will,
you know, he was there, another guy Joel who is
also with the Jackets, Vandal, you know, and we're talking

about it before and it's like it'll be it'll be
a really huge shock if somehow, some way this gets
to go as far as the tournament yesterday or the
outing if you will, really isn't a tournament.

But it was, Yeah, it was.

And the place is squishy as you can imagine, even
though there's some amazing infrastructure there. From what I understand
to help with drainage and all that, but there's no
way they're gonna let us schmucks out there on it

Like mess it all up a couple of weeks before
the memorial.

Well, I mean, you shouldn't have better, should you go
to Mirror Field in May and not expect rain?

Well, the thing is, they do it every year around
this time, and I've been in a few of these now,
and this is the first one that was a total wash,
total rain out. This is the first one, man, So
to your point, you would think that this would be
a normal occurrence, but this is the way that they kind.

They get it close to tournament shape, if you will.
And you know they said also the rough because of
all the rain had not been no mowing in the ruck.
This the rough is probably around ten inches right now.
First of all, Chuck, and I know you're not a golfer.

Don't I played with back in the nineties, okay, very
quickly and said no, this isn't for me, and I
was done.

Well, I mean there it's so penal.

It's so penal, as they say, hitting it off the
fairway because the rough there is brutal.

You could be standing right over top of your ball
and not even see it. I mean, it's that brutal there.
So you're in big trouble if you hit it anywhere
but the fairway. The short crass, as they say, but
it was extra long yesterday. It hadn't been able to
mow it or any of that, so it would have
just been it would have been brutal. They would have probably,
let's say it somehow would have happened yesterday. They would

have said, anybody who hits it in the into the rough,
just pick the ball up and put it back in
the fair way. Don't even attempt to because there's no
reason to just try to hack it out of there.
It's unreal when you try to hit a ball out
of that yourself, when you're standing over there, and then
when you watch a pro hit out of there and
they're able to.

Advance it as far as they do, it's insane. So
cheating by by committee is okay when it's high.

Now what they're doing is because it's us, it's you know,
the media. Yeah, it's just like, yes, don't don't do
it just first of all, you're gonna get a wrist
injury or something awful. You're gonna get a shoulder in like,
something bad, terrible is gonna happen because it'll feel like
you're swinging the golf club into a brick wall.

Sure anyway, But thanks to Tom and Tom Sprows and
tournament director Dan Sullivan, and I mean, what an amazing place.
And I'm always reminded when I'm there every year, and
I did get one of them. There really incredibly famous
milkshakes that they're so known for there at Mirefield Village.

I got the Buckeye one, and let me tell you something,
it was worth the drive over there. It was incredible.
Scottie Scheffler too, who's the defending champ from last year,
he was there, not there but through you know, through
video feed and you know, people are talking to him
and stuff.

It was cool. It was it was neat to hang
out there and all of that.

It would have been nice clearly to get around the

let any carts out. And you don't take carts out
on Mierfield Balk you have caddy and all that.

Yeah, that was too wet yesterday. Do PlayStation golf. It
was just stupid.

Uh, Fairfield County, like you had posted Chuck Fairfield County
Conservatives elected.

Yeah, well you know, Steve ad got in by three votes,
three count of three votes. But it did get done.
And that's that's why I put that on Facebook today.
You know, Franklin County take a look, I'm sick of
here and oh there's just no way to do anything.
And it looked like Fairfield County was in trouble. And
we had the the drag shows in the Lancaster town

Square this year and people thought, okay, it's it, were
just done, but they got loud and Fairfield County Conservatives.
It's a different group. It's not the Fairfield County GOP.
It is they are their own infancy and they decided
they were going to go after something. And you know,
it's not like they moved the world, but they made
some profits. And I'm just saying, that's all anybody is

asking for. Man at least try, and I'm just I'm
sick of seeing no trying. And I'm proud of them.
I'm proud that even in small victories, they they had
some victories because they bothered to try a.

knew this was going to happen. Yeah, you put a
levee in front of people and they say, sure, why not.
And it was to extend and expand. That word expand
is very bothersome with issue too. But you know, we've
once again signed off and said okay, go ahead, State

of Ohio borrow some money and we the taxpayers will
be responsible for the repayment of those funds, And I personally,
I think anytime a bond issue was introduced, it's Franklin
County or any county or city or state with the
bond language needs to be the repayment strategy. We need
to know what's going up, what are we going to

have to pay? Now, Oh, this won't increase your taxes,
but what's going up? Our license plate's going up another
twenty bucks next year, our state licensing fees for your
professional licensing going up another fifty percent. What's going up
coming out of our pockets that we're going to have
to pay in order to pay back this bond money?
That should be part of the submission of any bond

package as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, the Yes vote supports allowing the state to here
at Ohio to issue up to two and a half
billion in general obligation bonds limited to two hundred and
fifty million per year over ten years, to assist local
governments and funding public infrastructure improvement projects. And as far
as where or how, they'll let you know, Yeah.

Two hundred fifty million over ten years, two point five
billion dollars. We'll let you know and we'll you know,
and while we're doing this, remember we've also got a
candidate talking about running for governor here that everybody seems
to think is the odds on favorite, who's talking about
elimination of state income taxes. Well, then if there's no
state income taxes, then definitely where the hell is this

money supposed to go. The legislature just passed yet another
budget that doesn't slow down any spending. We're not slowing
down spending. We're taking out loans and and this, or
we're not raising your taxes. It's going to cost a
lot of money to live in Ohio. We're going to
become California. Win our fees and so forth start going up.

Are they allowed to say we're not we're not going
to raise your taxes because that's such a generic statement,
And then later when they're called on it, when you
know something does raise, they'll go, oh, we met like,
you're right your income tax You're.

nine point fifteen percent. And then the the Kate Curry Desuza,

who essentially was I don't know. She was being labeled
a Democrat with some people called her moderate, some people
I've actually heard referred to her as more of a
socialist mentality, but she came in a distant third place
with what thirty nineteen twenty percent of the vote. There

you do, but I mean that's exactly. They choose who
they want, They make them prominent, They make sure all
the media covers them, even negative coverage. But again, Columbus,
I don't get you. I don't get you. You got
a city.

Attorney who never was in a courtroom until you elected
him city attorney. He never tried a case, and you
elected him your city prosecutor. Really, then what did you do,
Franklin County? You elect a treasurer that has how many
personal bankruptcies really, And now you take somebody from the

tickets and on an invalid license or suspended license or
expired like whatever the hell it was, and you decide
this is the person who's going to be one of
nine people deciding what I do, whether it's legal or not,
or whether code enforcement should come to my door and

ever ever. It's going to take money, lots of it,
Soros type money or Elon Musk type money. It feels
like to get any kind of to affect any change.

money to invest, but you know they don't want you
to start boycotting their companies or whatever. Right, and the

Speaking of voting, eighty nine of one hundred and thirty
three cardinals have to approve or agree on a specific
person in order to get a new pope. There was

They say four different votes will be taken tomorrow. On
the first day, which is today, there's only one. And

they said it would go back hundreds of years if
someone would have been chosen or voted in pope today.

same boat. You've got some of them that think, you know,

cloying and then add a little fennel to it so
