Speaker 3 (05:20):
The shooting left six people dead and more than a
dozen injured in the town of Leland. Those arrested range
from ages twenty five to forty four. The shooting happened
as people celebrated homecoming weekend in downtown Leland, shortly after
the high school football game Friday night. Four the victims
died at the scene, Two others were later pronounced dead,
(05:42):
and more than a dozen people will hurt. Those killed
ranged in age from eighteen to forty one. Now police
didn't give a possible motive, but the FBI said the
gunfire appears to have been sparked by a disagreement among
several individuals.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
To JOURNALO S.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Martin, thirty three, was arrested today and received a one
million dollar cash by the rest. Comes a day after
the FBI announced that Tavon L. Powell twenty nine, William
Bryant twenty nine, and Morgan Lottimore twenty five are charged
with capital murder, while LaToya A. Power forty four is
charged with attempted murder in the Friday night shooting. That
(06:19):
kind of sounds like some family LaToya Power, Tavian Power, Like,
I don't know, man. Yeah, very sad though, coming out
of Leland, Mississippi. Prayers up to the families out there.
The controversial fence surrounding the Broadview Ice processing facility was
removed by Cruise Tuesday night. Flatbed truck appeared carrying fencing
(06:41):
material was allowed into the restricted area. Cruise then took
down the fencing around the broad View facility. A judge
has said midnight as the deadline to remove it, and
the village of Broadview argued in court that the fencing
is a safety hazard, especially for first respond its, meaning
that they can't get in and.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
Out the facility, so they said rioters.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLoughlin says that rioters have slashed
the tires of federal agents vehicles and blocked the entrance
of the building, and demonstrators believe that the fence limits
their First Amendment rights and designated protest zones are still
in effect and broad view along with protests.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
I was but kind of like a little win for them.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
They got the fencing down so people can come and
go on the property as they please. Coming up, Man,

why they think she left ESPN.
Speaker 1 (07:44):

I'm about to pull up on your right quick. All
you need to know in sports here so I won't
get found inside.
Speaker 6 (08:04):
Zach.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
You know, Molly Camm left ESPN right and some people
were trying to speculate why she leaves. Some people said
they think it's about money. Other people had conspiracy theories
about maybe her and Stephen A.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Smith Well, Chris mad dog Russo.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
He said, Molly caimm left First Take because ESPN was
about to demote her and try something different with her,
and so he said, quote unquote, he said she felt
embarrassed by potential demotion, and he said she pulled the
plug rather than ride the year out as a lame up. Said,
I think they probably wanted to move her around a
(08:41):
little bit and try something different.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Not that the ratings were bad, just the nature of
the beast. You're on air forever.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
They like to make a change for making change sake,
and I think they wanted to keep Molly with the network.
And I don't know if Molly wanted to do that,
because I think Molly probably looked at it as if
I'm not gonna do First Take, I don't want to
do Sports Center.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
She probably felt that it was an emotion I.
Speaker 6 (09:02):
Have to see.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
I got to hear from Molly, That's all I'm waiting
to hear from her, because at the end of the day,
she's the only one that can tell the truth about
what she wanted to do. Now, speaking of somebody who
may who a microphone, I hope this don't get him
in trouble.
Speaker 1 (09:17):
Who're talking about Lebron James.
Speaker 3 (09:19):
So he went on his wife's Savannah's podcast called Everybody's Crazy,
and they were discussing how quickly relationships fall apart nowadays
and who's the blame when they do, and her and
her girlfriend was talking. Then Brian put his wine down
and said he's heard some crazy tales in the locker room,
while revealing that he believes that there are some women
(09:40):
out there who don't have men's best interests at her heart.
He said, I quote, it's some cutthroat, ruthless ass b
I t h is out here right now too, He said,
I sit in the locker room and I like, it's
a lot of women that then flip the script and
say the homies are out here trying to be good,
trying to figure it out, and they looking in the
mirror saying, damn, what did I do wrong? James said, HOMIESAI,
(10:03):
it ain't you the reason why I said he might
be might want to be quiet. I hope Bron ain't
got nothing in the stash.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
But you know that might that might trigger hey man
get out, that might trigger she might be like, oh
what oh I saw the clip. But before that, he
has said he was like ladies. It ain't y'all.
Speaker 8 (10:25):
You know.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
He had said that, and then he said, heyre's some.
Speaker 4 (10:28):
He was basically saying both sides like you know what
I'm saying that He said, be some crazy dudes out here.
Speaker 9 (10:32):
Be some.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
But here's the thing, Lebron, just stay off to come
on now there you go.
Speaker 1 (10:36):
Let the ladies have their conversation and be like, hey, baby,
you want some more wine?
Speaker 6 (10:41):
Just be like this.
Speaker 4 (10:41):
It's one of the things you damn if you do
your damn when Lebron speaks, it'd be so it's gonna
be scrutiny from either side matter.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
What he say. I'm saying. If he got a little
something in the cut, it might rub but the wrong way.
And then she'd be like, all right, let me go
public Nda.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
What what you're gonna do. What you're gonna take from me.

I want some of yo brush. I won't something you.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Got. A letter today says Delean is up. My wife's
birthday is Saturday. She been talking about it for months.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
She's booked reservations at this nice restaurant, She's got a
new outfit and even said she wanted the whole night
to be just about her. And honestly, she does deserve it.
She's been holding down, she worked hard, and she's been
taking care of the house.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
All of that.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
Here's the problem. That same weekend, my mom is having
an emergency surgery. It's not life threatening, but it's serious
enough that my family needs me there. My brother lives
out of state, so it's really just me who can
be there to help my dad and make sure everything
goes smoothly. I told my wife and she got quiet.
Then she said you always picked them over me, And
(17:50):
that hurt because it's not true. But I get why
she feels that way. Her last birthday I had to
work late, and the one before that we had car trouble.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
I never really gave had the big moment that she's
waiting for. So now I'm stuck.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Do I go be with my mom and support my family,
or do I show up for my wife the way
she's been asking for me for me.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Eighty six six eight A five one seventy five hit
us up. It's a tough one one seven five w
(18:33):
GC shows number one for hip hopadorn and b with
a smack dad in the middle of love them or
Leave Them, This gentleman has a decision to make.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
Yeah man, He basically wrote in and said that his
mom has emergency surgery on the same day that his wife,
on the same day of his wife's birthday, and now
his wife is playing his birthday out and then he said, well,
I'm probably gonna go.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
Let's go support my dad in the hospital.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
And then his wife said, you always choose them for
me because the last two birthdays he wasn't there. He
had other things as well. So he wants to know
which one should he do. Should he go support his
mom in the hospital, or should he do go with his.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Wife for a birthday A six six eighty five one
oh seven five. Let's go to the phone lines to
this where you're checking in.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
From this A from the lower end, all right, from
the lower end, What should this brother do?
Speaker 6 (19:24):
In this situation, he needs to go a head and
show up for his wife.
Speaker 9 (19:28):
I mean, what is he gonna do be the thurson?
Is he the receptionist at the hospital. What is he
gonna be doing so important that he can't go be
with his wife have birthday? Is gonna be the third time?
Speaker 3 (19:40):
Baby?
Speaker 7 (19:40):
Third?
Speaker 9 (19:40):
Three times you out restrikes you out.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
With his wife?
Speaker 1 (19:45):
So if his mama is mama down the table in
here ain't there? But what can she do?
Speaker 6 (19:51):
What can he do?
Speaker 1 (19:52):
I mean, what can you?
Speaker 6 (19:53):
What can what is he gonna do?
Speaker 2 (19:54):
What is this?
Speaker 6 (19:55):
What is he doing now? What is gonna.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Father who's probably an old man and it's sitting in
there worried about his wife?
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Y'all are insane? Support birthday? Going out the okay?
Speaker 9 (20:10):
Giving her her moment?
Speaker 6 (20:12):
Said how her mouth?
Speaker 8 (20:14):
You always picked somebody else over me. That's that's that's
that small thing to turn into something big, just that
in the blood. Now at least do something like big
for her and then.
Speaker 9 (20:26):
Just tell them like, you know, look, I'm a run
at the hospital, show my support, but damn here.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
With me something that ain't what you said at first though,
you was like, damn your mama. She did not say that,
she said, she said she better show up for that woman. Man,
don't go to the hospital, she said, go to then
do something for your wife on them and you still
can do that.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
It is, but you say no, Lee, I want you
sitting there waiting room.
Speaker 6 (20:51):
No, no, not three times in a row.
Speaker 9 (20:53):
You didn't ruin my birthday. Ain't been much from you,
Absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
I appreciate you.
Speaker 9 (20:58):
Think you're doing no purpose now, yeah, man.
Speaker 4 (21:08):
This is tough, but I really think you gotta go
to the dinner and then after the dinner and you
get her home, get your wife home, you go, you
can go check on your pops and your mom.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
You said, it's not life threatening surgery, So that's what
I think.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
You should go.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
Yeah, it's not life threatening, but anything of a sixty
five seventy I just ain't going. I'm like, look, brag,
can we run by here first check and then I
take you wherever you want to go whatever? Now where
he messed up, as is the other I don't know
what the other two times was. The other two times
might have been trivial. We don't know, Like they ain't
say what them was. But I said, think of something
(21:44):
like a hospital. A spouse would be like, let's go
check on your daddy, say is he okay? And dealing
with your mother. I think the other two times may
have been trivial. So that's why this third win you
catching grief for it. So the other two times was
probably some bs, but somebody going to the hospital. Even
when you say it's not life threatening, if it's an
older person, I still think there's some some things that
(22:05):
have to be said, you know, with going to check
on the other parent to make sure they are right
where they're at, because older people is like kids.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
I understand, you know what.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
You know what I'm saying, But his responsibility when you
get married, your responsibility but comes first is your wife.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
And what comes first to your father is his wife.
You know what I'm saying. So and also when you
get married, understanding comes from a spouse too.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
Like I said, he's probably catching it on the third
one because the first two times was BS. I don't
know what the first two was, but I'm pretty sure
a wife if somebody said was going to the hospital,
all right, let's go by there and then we can
go do something, I don't think she would huff and
puff and say if you go to the hospital, I
feel like you're doing me dirty.
Speaker 4 (22:48):
I don't think he should go spouse for I think
he should go do your thing with your wife, then
go to your After you have done that and you
get your wife.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Home, then you go to the hospital.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
That's what I would do, and just hope thought nothing happened.
I meantime in between times at the hospital.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
It's in God's hands either way.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
Yeah, y'all, y'all kill me with that, but be the
first ones crying talking about I missed you, therefore I missed.
What's something bad that everybody want to take pictures? No,
I'm saying that sound good, But when we miss something
that happens to somebody in the hospital. We got a
long story on Facebook and everything about oh my god,
I wish I was there, I wish I had this.
Speaker 1 (23:24):
Time saying I wish I was in the hospital.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
I'm pretty sure they're saying I wish I would may
have spent more time within the duration of day life.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
I'm talking about.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
I'm talking about I wish I wish I was there
to maybe help console whoever was in pain or whatever.
Speaker 4 (23:37):
Gonna be there if anything happens you're gonna go to
the hospital and console.
Speaker 1 (23:41):
All right, that's all.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
I don't say that you could do anytime. So I'm
glad that we hope we helped you. But if we did,
we never do.
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Mike scoofy people. Right, it's that time of the day
that everybody loves.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
One person gonna be absolutely pissed as Leon's goofy ass
person of today.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
We go again.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
Y'all have to stop with the social media. Okay, it's
a brother that's going around. He's a fellow comedian by
the name of Jael Houston. You know what I'm saying.
I haven't seen the brother on stage before. He halfway decent,
but he goes around and he sees stars, but he
calls the mother stars name. So like he saw Rayjion
Rondo in the shoe store, he called him Chris Paul
(24:34):
and kept calling him Chris Paul to region. Rondo was like, eh,
I'm not him. He ran up on TII. He was like, Lula, Chris,
what's up? And t I was like, you tried it,
but it ain't work. Now you gotta go home and
think about TI.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
I was nice. Well, he ran up on Clarissa.
Speaker 3 (24:48):
Shields and kept calling us Serena Williams. Now after being
corrected and said, no, that's not Serena Williams, that's Cloisal Shiels.
Because somebody was impervious to what he was doing, he
kept going with the Serena Williams narrative. And then Clarissa's
new man took a book and slapped him cross the
face with it, almost broke his nose. And of course
you know he went online Mary and Pet Pooss allegedly
(25:10):
just hit me with a book.
Speaker 9 (25:11):
Man.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
You know, I was just doing my viral stuff, going viral. Well,
these are some of the things that can happen to you.
My question would be who would you rather have hit you?
Patpool so Chris, because I could have been real bad
if Chloris had to turn and gave you a jab. Okay,
at least Pat Poos hit you with a book, and
you know not die to Pat Pools. But right now,
don't think you hit harder than I'll go ahead, take
(25:35):
that Peppoo's jab, hope to Clarissa Shields jab.
Speaker 1 (25:38):
But again, stop.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
Playing with people, stop running up on people, playing in
their face, because everybody don't take too kindly to jokes.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
So my brother.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
I hope you got the cloud that you wanted and
the lights and the followers, mister Gerald Houston.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
But for now, sit your goo fast down, scoofy as
people from GCI if this world.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Man one on seven five w GC shyes number one
for hip hop and R and B.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Brother Bug was coming up in the Z spot, coming up.
Speaker 4 (26:15):
In the Z spot, Man, We're gonna honor the life
of d Angelo and uh we're gonna talk Mario to
collogizing Damn one O seven five w GC out of
shots number one for hip hop and R and B.
We got the stunning news yesterday that R and B
(26:36):
legend d Angelo had passed away at the young age
of fifty one years old and after a battle with cancer.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
His family confirmed with the news. You know that this
really did happen.
Speaker 4 (26:48):
And that he had been fighting cancer for an extended
period of time. A lot of people did not know
that d' angelo was fighting cancer. He actually had pancreatic cancer.
Everybody knows D'Angelo for his you know soul for voice
Grammy Award winning artists. You know, he is credited for
pioneering the neo soul genre and you know put out
(27:09):
influential albums like Brown Sugar and Voodoo. You know, Brown
Sugar came out ninety five, Voodoo in two thousand.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (27:17):
Just Di Angelo is just one of those guys you
think of neo soul, you think of you think of di'angelo.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
And a great voice. Yeah, absolutely voice.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Absolutely in His family put out a statement they said,
while they are heartbroken, they are grateful for the legacy
of extraordinarily moving music he leaves behind.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
And they ask that fans celebrate his gift of song.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
So yeah, man, shout out to the life as the
legacy of the Angelo.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Angelo is the only brother that everyone made me want
to take up sauce of dancing.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Now why they had a song on Voodoo called.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
Spanish Voodoo and if it was smooth them, I was like, boy,
I want to go take me some I'm down.
Speaker 4 (28:02):
South for lessons. Just off that Diangela, off that DiAngelo man. Well,
here's a few of his hits on the DiAngelo has
had it with within his career.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Bron want a SA wait GC, I want to show
I want the g.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
Number one pipopua r B.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Yes, sir, Chicago is time to lock in and check
in with your boys A six six eighty five one
oh seven five were siunding off to day what.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
We're talking about Zach And I'm gonna ask the question
to Chicago man. Do y'all think that people overshare too
much on social media?
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Or is it just being real? Come on now, hit
us up? A six six eight A five one on
seven five Godf's Louis Colders one O.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
Seven five WGCU the shize number one for hip hop
and R and b uh were sounding off today man
brother Buck asks the question, if you can call it
an answer A six six eight A five one oh
seven five.
Speaker 1 (29:18):
Do people overshare too much on social media? Or is
it just being real? That is the question. Who do
you think, Lee?
Speaker 3 (29:25):
I think it's a I think it's a loaded question
in the fact that I do think some people are
being real, But I don't think everything is for the
internet and everything is for a public consumption. I do
think some of the feelings that people express on Facebook
are real feelings. They absolutely are because Facebook gives you
that platform, but everything ain't for it, Like sometimes it's
(29:49):
just if you want to vent, like if you my homie,
my brother, I talk to you outside but putting that
on there for everybody to consume, that opens up too
many doors to let evil and demons get in between.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
You and something that you might really care about.
Speaker 4 (30:04):
Yeah, because I think when you're in that emotional state
on social media, you talking about something you really care
about to people who don't care. I don't care, so
and then I think you're just really entertainment to them.
So I do think that people overshare.
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Or you might get some wrong advice, you know what.
I'm be surprised if people are.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
Setting you off, now, can't. I do think that you
can use social media.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Let's say you're going through some real stuff that's important
to you and you're asking your social media audience or
you're asking people for.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
Resources or help. That's different, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
If you we've seen people, you know, go through tough
financial times and different things like that, and social media
has come together and the people of you know who
are on social media come through and that community has
helped that person out. Had they kept that to their self,
people wouldn't know and they probably wouldn't have gotten that help.
So I understand that aspect of it. But I'm just
talking about people just playing vent to invent without like
(31:01):
with a it's almost like, what's the call to action?
What do you want exams to do about? Example? And
I hate to pull a scab off of old wound.
Jada Pinky's Red Table talk and her stuff with Will
all that wasn't for everybody. That was between you and
Will and a counselor y'all talked about even if you're
talking to your mama. But to go and publicly air
(31:23):
out y'all dirty laundry in front of everybody, thinking they're like, well,
it's therapeutic for somebody, and it might be you might
get five people that say I'm learning from this, but
everybody else is looking at you and your husband like
y'all crazy, And that's where the hurt comes in. Like
I would never want anybody to go through that, Like
I don't care how bad I'm feeling about something. I
(31:46):
would never want to put something on a page and
expose my wife for something that me and her going
to to everybody to condemn her or however.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
They may take it. You know what I'm saying. I
just don't think that's cool.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
Yeah, yeah, this I want to know Chicago hit us
up a six six eight A five one o seven five.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Do people overshare too much on social media? Or is
it just being real? It's GCI GCI who is? Where
do you check it in from? Miss dum since west side?
(32:27):
All right, brother, what do you think about this situation
that you're talking about today?
Speaker 6 (32:31):
Hell yeah, people overshare too much. That's why it's called
social media.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Bro like boobsig.
Speaker 5 (32:37):
Sometimes platform is good to be sociable, you know, looking
for things or searching for.
Speaker 6 (32:43):
Advice, stuff like that.
Speaker 4 (32:44):
But telling your business and personal stuff should not be
for any social media platform ever.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
Yeah that's my thort.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Okay, that's what he's saying. He's saying, keep personal business off. Yeah,
appear on social media.
Speaker 6 (32:57):
Pre's no business among yourself and if the public stuff
for the public, you can do on social media. But
telling your personal business and all the stuff you're going
through because everybody ain't gonna everybody like can retreat, that's
the same, and you ain't gonna get what you're looking for,
no way.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
It is all right, brother, appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
Yes up A sixty six eight A five one seven five.

Speaker 3 (33:42):
Who is where you check it in from? Oh, it's
more I'm checking in all right, speak on the west side.
Speaker 11 (33:49):
Yeah, I absolutely feel like people will share entirely too much.
Like I guess if I'm getting older, I'm I'm more
aware of things that shouldn't be shared. And a lot
of times I read something I think, Man, Batman and
the CIA couldn't team up and get out of me.
That a lot page.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
Man and I damn you couldn't get out of me.
