Congress is out of town this week, but when they
return by day twenty ninth, they're facing immediate govern funding deadline. Now,
if they don't act before Wednesday, October first, there'll be
a government shut down. So they're blaming one another, you know,
dims Republicans, they're doing the whole thing, and the Congress
does not have time to finish work on the full
year funding bills before the deadline, so they'll need a

stop gap bill, something to put in place while they
figure it out where the government can keep running. Now,
unlike the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, funding bills need
at least sixty votes to pass in the Senate. That
means any government funding solution will require at least seven
Senate Democrats to pass if every Republican supports the proposal.

But the Democrats are kind of like saying nah, efforts
to pass the short term funding bill failed last week.
So they say the Democrats are central and the Democrats
are actually keeping the bill from passing. They don't agree
with some of the things on it. And then of
course if the government shuts down, you know, stuff like

getting the Social Security checks people, you know what I'm saying,
that that all slows down.

Show, Congressional lawmakers are bickering back and forth, Zach, and
you know who feels the hurt on that is like
when adults argue, the kids get it.

So we we we might be in a little bit
of trouble.

Congress is out of town this week, but when they
return by day twenty ninth, they're facing immediate govern funding deadline. Now,
if they don't act before Wednesday, October first, there'll be
a government shut down. So they're blaming one another, you know,
dims Republicans, they're doing the whole thing, and the Congress
does not have time to finish work on the full
year funding bills before the deadline, so they'll need a
(03:15):
stop gap bill, something to put in place while they
figure it out where the government can keep running. Now,
unlike the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, funding bills need
at least sixty votes to pass in the Senate. That
means any government funding solution will require at least seven
Senate Democrats to pass if every Republican supports the proposal.
(03:37):
But the Democrats are kind of like saying nah, efforts
to pass the short term funding bill failed last week.
So they say the Democrats are central and the Democrats
are actually keeping the bill from passing. They don't agree
with some of the things on it. And then of
course if the government shuts down, you know, stuff like

getting the Social Security checks people, you know what I'm saying,
that that all slows down.

I just hope everything work out. I don't have nobody
to go without.

Like when they when they argue everybody else and then

Partner with different schools and nonprofits to deliver mindfulness and
social motion, learning based arts programs to support the mental
health of youth. And it's really central around challenging our
kids to discover what their meaning of the simple good
means in their lives, to feel resilience in our community.
So that's moments of joy, small acts of kindness, things
that make us smile that we can find every single day,

and that's what we teach really fosters change and resilience
for all of us. And today we are doing our
big annual fundraiser, a City of vic Dream, which helps
fundrais for those programs to keep them freeing accessible for
our communities and their parents.

and how can people donate to the Simple Good? And
if we want to get our kids involved in your program,
how can we get involved?

Yeah, please connect us to their schools or their after
school programs. We come on site to deliver programming and

So we're a long term program that sticks around and
wants to really fully develop the whole child, and so
