Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, whistle and it's time for Ellison Bradley's float
them or flusha luu.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Floating?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
I say, flush him.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Here's Ellison Bradley with this morning's float him or flusham letter.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Yeah, we've been doing this for years thanks to our
friends of Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, and they've always been letters.
But recently you guys have been calling in and just saying,
here's my situation. Can you put it on floating or flushing?

Speaker 5 (00:26):
We say no, one pot We said why not?

Speaker 4 (00:28):
Yeah, So Tanya said it's okay to play her call.
So here it is.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
I'm starting to plan my son's fifth birthday party right
and my ex husband he wants to bring his girlfriend
and I just like, I don't want her there. I've
met her before and honestly, she always stirs stuff up
with the family, Like she makes little comments and creates

(00:53):
all this tension and it's just like, I don't know,
feels unnecessary and to be honest, it doesn't even seem
appropriate at all. But I don't know how to like
tell my ex no and still keep it civil.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
That's a mess for sure. What what, Tanya, what is
your biggest fear if his girlfriend shows up.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (01:15):
I just I don't want the focus to be on
anything but my son, you know, like this is his
big day and I don't want any tension or side
eyes or snide remarks or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Like stealing the spotlight. At the same time, though, I
don't want to start a huge fight with my ex
because you know, we still have to co parent, and
I don't want to make things harder for my son.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
Is it?

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Well, Like I think I just need to like be
firm but also clear that this isn't about me being
jealous or petty. It's just about the environment for our kid.

Speaker 6 (01:55):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
I'm nervous that's saying no is going to blow things
up and MAKEE mad.

Speaker 6 (02:01):
So like what should I do?

Speaker 4 (02:04):
Okay, We're going to try to help Tanya right here,
as we always try to on float and refleshing. Should
she flush the idea of having your ex bring his
girlfriend to her son's birthday for it?

Speaker 7 (02:15):
And I know that that's how we normally do this
and we should, But to me, it sounds like she's
already made up her mind.

Speaker 5 (02:19):
She just needs to be told what to say.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
And if you've been down that road before, I bet
you have. Maybe you can give her some personal advice
on what you went through and how it worked out
for you. Give her a call.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Because my red nick Easter will blow things up.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
No, it might, Okay, Tanya, thanks for calling. It's up
to you. Folks now float to reflesh them eight hundred
and five two two nine seven seven to five. Look
forward to your calls coming up on whistlewater, Hiss, Ellison,
browdie show rush them.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
So don't let him go to the birthday party?

Speaker 8 (02:46):
Yes, yes, yeah, because I'll get at this sight.

Speaker 5 (02:49):
Someone is raising these kids.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Well right there, our audience is getting younger?

Speaker 5 (02:52):
Is I love it? Though we're getting older, they're getting younger.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
I love it.

Speaker 9 (02:56):
He should be allowed to bring her. I think she
should flute it. You may end up marrying her and
there be together for years. He's going to be in
his son's life and she will be too.

Speaker 10 (03:07):
Po Co parenting does consist of as your life moves on,
you need to incorporate whomever you may be dating in
with the family activities of co parenting.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
You've been through this yourself.

Speaker 7 (03:26):
Absolutely should his side of the family go to him
and say you better control that girl.

Speaker 2 (03:30):
They should stay out of it.

Speaker 10 (03:31):
We're all adults, and we all need to be able
to act like adults, especially when it comes to our children.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
And I don't think we have enough information from Kenya.
Is dad help him pay for this? Does she have
a boyfriend she's bringing? Why is there really that big
of a deal. They should be able to get along.
Even if she feels like she's that way, She needs
to be the bigger person. I think she should walk
to her son, Bill and Beth, you're born and I'll

(03:59):
tell you what.

Speaker 8 (03:59):
Bort'sya.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
She opened up the floodgates on this issue that she did.
She did, I'm will tell you what.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
I've got kids around her age, and I'm one hundred
percent in her favor.

Speaker 10 (04:09):
Uh.

Speaker 8 (04:10):
You know that day, that's that child's.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
Day, and that child should be in the spotlight.

Speaker 8 (04:14):
Nothing should be taken off of that. From coming from
a mom who's went through this before, I think Tanya
should stand firm with her aunts. Her mother's know best.
At the end of the day, it's about the child,
not about his girlfriend. And if they haven't been together
along either, that just shows goes to show you that
he's more worried about her. If he wants her to
come uh to the birthday party instead of his own
son's Interesting.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
We've heard from two moms who have been through this,
and they have different opinions.

Speaker 7 (04:41):
We all can agree, both moms and everyone listening, the
child's needs come first, and the mom knows.

Speaker 8 (04:46):
What the exactly and if they have been together for
a while, then by all means like my ex now
that he's married and stuff, which can she come to
the birthday parties? Absolutely? I mean we're we're civil. But
at the end of the day, if they haven't been
together along, it's about the sun, not about her.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
You tell it X, put a ring on it, and
you can bring her.

Speaker 5 (05:04):
I ain't gonna marry her. No, Well, thank you so much,
sweet girl. We appreciate you.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 5 (05:15):
Have a good day too, honey. Bye, I'm married that one.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Well, you know what, it's pretty uh pretty open ended there, Tanya.
If some people have again, I think you made the
good point. The situation dependents.

Speaker 7 (05:27):
Okay, if you go, if they've just been dating, you know,
and there's no marriage engagement. No, if you don't want to,
there's your house, your party, have his own party.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
That's right first, That whole idea right and listen, you
got some kind of problem as you're trying to navigate
love's rocky road. We're here for you every Thursday.

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
