Allowing the spirit of the forest inside your pattern of thought. The sunlight shines through the spring green leaves creating shadows in places building peace. It’s that energy that loosens the cluster of mental weight bogging down your natural process to think. The falcon soars high in this Carolina lit sky. It glides with the upper level winding. Diving in the air like a wild rollercoaster. Its shrieking voice puts me in a place of solitude. To know of the moment where the female dove didn’t move. She accepted us as part of her Mother Nature. The beauty of it all and yet it’s so difficult to mentally escape. To be present in a circle consumed by daily challenges and uncertain changes. The love this forest offers has to move through me. I can’t hoard the beauty of its ray of light. The daily goal should be a mission to remove the colorized fear, shame and guilt planted. Breathing in the new journey begins. But how do you get there? What happens when trusting the changes doesn’t meet personal command or demand? How dare anyone think they can let go of what they know in order to rebuild a path and or decision to grow greater rather than lesser? I’m amazed by sunlight and how it doesn’t dance around anything. It always has the strength to move through. So I ask, “What are you blocking and why?” No day passes that you aren’t someone’s needle in a haystack.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
