(00:21):
What's going on? This is Sports Grid. Get on the Grid.
We're the world cop touch soud Bro Football. Welcome inside

(01:00):
the studio. It is the Pro Football Rewind, brought to
buy our friends at sports Grid, and if you want
the edge, you get on the Grid. We welcome everybody
watching on Bluto TV channel five seventeen. My name is
mattch Striker. This is the Pro Football Rewind. We're talking
to Davis Maddock. We just broke down an entire slate
of one PM games and we have over fifteen names

(01:20):
that have come out of the analysis that we can
try to look at moving forward, whether it be in
season long, daily fantasy, or of course sports investments. Now
let's get into the four o'clock game. There were only two,
but I'll start with Jacksonville and Tennessee this Tennessee team
is exciting to watch, Davis, They are exciting to watch.

(01:40):
And did we think we were going to be saying that.
We think that we were going to be saying the
Tennessee Titans, Now that is an exciting football team. But
there there is no way around it. They are they
are just they're they're good. Uh. And it's as long
as we're talking about playoffs scenarios, I think that the
Titans could probably make the playoffs two and so crazy
about it is they're not doing it with Marcus Mariota.

(02:03):
You know, if you had told someone at the beginning
of the year the Titans are going to kind of
routinely be scoring thirty or more points, They're gonna be
doing it with a running quarterback and it's gonna be exciting,
you definitely would have said, oh, well, that just means
Mariota figured it out. You know, he stopped bumbling so much,
he put on a little bit of weight, he wasn't injured,
and that's not what happened. Mariota was was just bad

(02:25):
and and Tannehill has been really good. Tannehill only had
to throw eighteen passes in this game, completed fourteen of
them two d and fifty nine passing yards, two touchdowns,
seven rushing attempts on the ground forty rushing yards two touchdowns.
Of course, a signature Derrick Henry long touchdown run. Then
the Jaguars turned the ball over and Henry had another

(02:47):
short touchdown run. Became the first player since Ladanian Tomlinson
to score two touchdowns within twenty seconds of game clock.
Another pretty impressive accomplishment there by Derrick Henry. I thought.
Another huge thing in this game was the seventy five
yard touchdown reception by A. J. Brown. A J. Brown
another one of those guys who could have a real
impact in fantasy football leagues down the stretch. If the Titans,

(03:10):
you know, they keep finding themselves in the shootout style games. Yeah,
and moving forward they they the Titans have Indianapolis, Oakland, Houston,
New Orleans, and then Houston again. And you mentioned the postseason.
The Steelers sit at the a f C Wild Cards
six seed at six and five, and Tennessee is also
six and five. Do you think Steelers drop out, Tennessee

(03:32):
drops in and they play the Texans in the wild
Card Well, I definitely do think that the Titans are
the better team. I think they have the better wide receivers,
you know, with Drew Smith injured, Juju Smith Schuster injured.
They also think that Delaney Walker when he comes back,
is you know, kind of better than the pass catching
situation the Steelers have. I think that it's likely that
the Titans have a better quarterback as well. You know,

(03:54):
I think Ryan Daniel is bet he's for sure better
than Mason Rudolph. He's probably better than Devlon Hodges. But
I'm kind of excited to see what we get with
a Devil and Hodges start, where the team is prepared
and ready for Devil and Hodges to be starting, you know,
if they let him run a little bit more than
they have did when he started in the past. So yeah,
and and now, the Steelers do have the better defense,

(04:15):
but there's just only so much a great defense can
do when the offense is putting you in bad position
after bad position. Absolutely, it's going to be exciting to
watch what happens, both from a fans perspective but also
for who we can attack now. I was all over
Tennessee and a lot of my daily fantasy play and
it served me well. So I think it's important to
pay attention to that team. Now, let's go to another

(04:38):
team that will be fighting for their playoff lives. They
are situated at the fourth seed, six and five. They
are scheduled to play the wild card against Seattle should
the season end today. I'm talking about the Dallas Cowboys,
who had a tough go in Fox Borrow in the
weather against New England. Davis, pour your heart out about
this one. Well, you're talking think about my Dallas Cowboys.

(05:01):
So let's let's let the viewers know that we are
talking about my Dallas Cowboys. And and you know we
have there are only two games, so we have a
lot of time here in our second hour. You know,
we can kind of loosen our callers and we can
talk about what we want to talk about. And first
let me ask you this, Matt. If these two teams,
if they switch coaching staffs, the line for this game
was either minus six or minus six and a half,

(05:23):
depending on where you got it, in what book you
bet it at. What would you make the line for
this game? If the two teams switch coaching staffs, which
coaching staff but keep personnel? Keep personnel. Yeah, so so
same roster, same roster for the Cowboys, same roster for
the Patriots three Patriots by three year Cowboys by Patriots

(05:43):
to being a homeed late them three. Oh no, I see.
I think I think if Bill Belichick was coaching this roster,
I think that the Cowboys would have been favored by
two and a half or three in in because I
don't think the Patriots roster is that great if you
look at their offensive skill position players. You know, we
have Julian Edelman, who's fine, He's fine. You know, the

(06:05):
Julian Edelman is not Odell Beckham. Uh, you know, he's
he's might not even be Randall Cobb at this stage
in his career. You know, he's thirty four years old,
coming off of a torn a c L two years ago.
And he's a good player. He's not a great player. Uh.
Sony Michelle four yards of carry, he's fine. You know again,
he's fine. James White barely involved in this game. Jacobe Myers,

(06:25):
an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State. Rex
Burkehead was this team's third leading wide receiver. And and
really they won this game because Dallas was incompetent. No,
they they kicked when they should have gone for it.
They punted when they should have gone for it. They
were not aggressive in the second half at all. I mean,
if you if I tell you the Patriots only score

(06:48):
thirteen points in this game, not only do you think
that Dallas covered, you think that Dallas wins outright. Uh,
this is their first game this year, or the first
game since the New Orleans Saints game where they just
didn't score an offensive touched. Just really inexcusable stuff from
Jason Garrett. I actually I love the win probability graphs,
and when the Cowboys kicked that field goal to make

(07:11):
it go to nine to thirteen, they actually added win
probability to the New England Patriots by kicking that field goal.
Just just horrible stuff. The reputation procedes them. And I
think it's also important to point out to view is
that the weather was just absolutely atrocious and that certainly
did impact things. But the reason I asked, when you
asked me, I said, same personnel is because the difference

(07:31):
there is Tom Brady and Dork Prescott. I watched Prescott
mishandless snap get it back on a nice athletic play
and then just panicked and through it underneath, and it
was an interception. That's the reason why teams like New
England will beat teams like Dallas. But looking at Dallas's
rest of season, Buffalo, Chicago, the Rams, Philadelphia, and Washington,
so the playoffs are not out of reach, Davis. No, Well,

(07:54):
the main reason they're gonna win the division is did
you see the Eagles today? Did you watch Carson? I
mean Carson Wentz. Dude, like whatever, whatever it happened to
Carson Wentz. And and you know what, I get it
if my team went on to win the Super Bowl
after I got injured, how do you like, how would
you feel? You'd feel horrible? You would you would feel
like one of the biggest like what Carson Wentz has

(08:16):
been dreaming of since he started playing football. His team
did without him, with him sitting on the sideline in
a cast and and and everyone loves Nick Foles and
everyone hates Carson Wentz. And you remember all those rumors
that were coming out of the Eagles locker room last
year when they were saying, you know, his teammates don't
really like him, and they hate that he only throws
to Zach Ertz. So the other you know, the wide

(08:37):
receivers don't like him because they never throw to him,
like all of these rumors and every you know, they
were all saying that they liked Foles more and uh,
I don't know, it kind of looks like that when
he did. They take the field right now, all right,
we have a fired up Davis Maigan. That's the best
kind of Davis Maddock. When we come back, we'll dive
into the sports investments of the four o'clock games. We'll

(08:58):
also go deeper into some rest of season opponents for
teams that are on the bubble, for teams that we're
looking at to help us out in our fantasy sports world,
whether it be rest of season DFS or sports investments.
Whatever you need, we've got it for you. Come on back,

whether it be the rest of season DFS or sports investments.
My name is match Striker. Enjoining me from his palatial
estate in parts unknown is the top fantasy analyst, Mr

(10:29):
Davis Maddock. Davis, You've hit for pretty much everything. I
would say seven and a half out of ten times
when you give a pick, you're on point. Um. When
this show isn't around the world, where can people read you?
And where can people find you? So all of my
season long fantasy football content can be found on Rhodo

now when you're listening to the show, go pull up
a clip on your phone of Patrick Mahomes talking. I
promise you you will hear it. I do. I do
a podcast called the sports Grid Fantasy Football Podcast that

(11:09):
comes out every day on the sports Gride podcast network,
and a show called The take Cast, another podcast that
comes out weekly that's also on the sports Grid Fantasy
Football podcast network. And then, of course, all of my
daily fantasy content can be found at Daily Rodo dot com. Davis,
you're not working enough. You know, you gotta come on.

(11:30):
If you really want to make it, you gotta commit more. Okay,
come on, all right, let's talk about some of the
lines here. The four o'clock games. Usually, Vegas understands that
a lot of people are reacting to what they personally
did at one o'clock. So there's only two four o'clock
games here. The first one Jacksonville, Tennessee. Depending on how
you had it, Tennessee was laying three and a half
a total of forty one and a half that got

(11:51):
absolutely obliterated. We had an over and we had a cover.
What's Vegas trying to tell us, Well, what I think
Vegas was trying to tell us was the weather was
really bad in New England. Uh. That game dropped five
points over the course of the week from where it
open as the weather reports came in. So if you
had gotten uh, you know, if you were one of

(12:12):
those people that thought, Okay, this is gonna be a
pretty competitive game. Don't think that either team is going
to be scoring a ton of points, that would have
been a that that would have been a very good
under bet, I think early in the week. And then
I you know, I think another thing that they were
trying to tell us in the Jacksonville Tennessee game, we
don't know anything. We know nothing about Jacksonville, Tennessee. When

(12:33):
when a divisional game is minus three and it's just
the home team favored by three, that is really Vegas
and and sports bettors all around the world because never
forget that line that you're getting on Sunday morning. I
mean we're talking millions and millions, maybe even billions of
dollars have gone into betting that line. And that line
has been bet overseas, that's been bet in Europe, that's

(12:55):
been a bet on offshore books, that's been bet you know,
in New Jersey at legal Sports Looks in the United States.
So that line has all of the information basically in
the world baked into it. And you know what, everyone
in the world said about Jacksonville, Tennessee. We have no clue,
no one. We don't know who's winning this game, which
I I always find it fascinating. Yeah, and it's an

(13:15):
excellent point when you think about it, because you and
I have often spoken about it on this show. If
you can get into a line early in the week,
sometimes when Sunday rolls around, you're just smiling right at
Cheshire grin because all this information wasn't baked into it.
You mentioned the Dallas, New England game and how they
knew the weather was gonna throw everything off, depending on

(13:36):
how you saw it, because it was a fluctuating line.
I saw it five and a half. I think it
went off at six, a total of forty four and
a half under. But depending on where you got it,
there was a cover here. How could the total of
Dallas in New England be implied at forty four and
a half in the total of Jacksonville and Tennessee be
implied at forty one and a half? Does it go
back to people don't know what they're talking about out there? Well,

(13:58):
I think that those were sort of reasonable overall totals,
like like I mean, maybe you know if I'm setting
the line. I probably make Jacksonville, Tennessee more like, you know,
more like forty five, because I don't I don't think
that either of these defenses are super strong, and I
do think that both of the offenses have the ability
to score. Uh. You know, the Jaguars are pretty good

(14:20):
app there, actually are pretty good at throwing the ball.
You know, they have D D. Westbrook, Chris Conley, DJ
Shark like these are to me, these are good pass catchers.
And you know, as we were talking about earlier, the
Titans offense has really been phenomenal since Ryan Tannehill has
taken over. They you know, they beat the Kansas City
Chiefs like they they know how to score points, which
you know I think is uh, which which I think

(14:41):
is pretty awesome. Um so yeah, I would have made that.
I would have made that line a little bit higher.
I though, I do not bet over unders very often,
and and it's kind of I guess my I don't know,
I shouldn't call my own thought process interesting, but my
thought process behind that is this, you know, I am
using these totals, uh, the gay game totals, but also
the team totals. I'm using them. So much in the

(15:04):
calculus for dfs. So like those team totals are you know,
they're feeding into the projections, which feed into my lineups.
And I don't want those projections to be wrong. I
you know, I want them to be right. I want
the team totals to be right. So unless I feel
really strongly that total is off, you know, by two,
three or four points, I really don't bet them very
often because I need those totals to be right absolutely,

(15:28):
and it does show a great amount of patients. Just
two points is enough for someone like you to say,
you know what, I'm gonna be smart. I'm gonna stay away.
I find the process fascinating. Walk me through something like. So,
I'm looking at next week already, and I'm looking at Thursday.
There are three games because of the holiday. How do
you approach the Bears and the Lions, for instance? How

(15:49):
about that one? Well, I will say this, I will
definitely be betting all of the Thanksgiving Day games. They're
just come on, you got you gotta bet the Tansgiving
Day games. I will I will likely be on the
Alliance side of that game. And you know what, what,
who's our who's our presenting sponsor for this, the d
K Sports Book or the Vanduel Sports Book. Who should
we give the pub to right now? And you just,

(16:09):
you know, give it to every single fantasy player out
there that tunes in each and every week. Give it
to the new people that are joining us on Pluto TV. Well,
I'm just gonna go. I'm gonna go see if we
have live lines out for either of these Thanksgiving Day games. Okay,
so we we do. We have the Thanksgiving Day games.
I am definitely going to be taking the Detroit Lions

(16:31):
side of this game as it stands right now, the
Detroit Lions getting a point at home against Mitch Drabinsky
and the Chicago Bears. Not even not even a doubt
in my mind that I will be taking the Detroit
Lions in this game. Any chance I get to be
short on Matt Maggie and Mitch Robinsky right now, I
am definitely going to take. I love it. I love it.

(16:52):
We're in real time right now. Technology is awesome. So
Davis has pulled up his information and we're talking about
the Thursday games. We're legit him at ly moving forward
in reverse. It's literal. Okay, talk to me about the
Saints and the Falcons. That's the game on Thursday. What
are your your minions telling you? Well, this is this
is one where so as you and I are talking

(17:14):
and we're talking about betting lines before stuff starts to
get out there, this is a great Now this game
is in Atlanta, but to me, this is a great
game to take the New Orleans Saints and get them
early because, as we talked about earlier, Matt Ryan left
this game. Now we don't think he's hurt, but he
could be hurt. He was in a walking boot over
there by week and Matt Shob, you know, had to

(17:35):
start a game for them this year. If Matt Shob
started this game, I would expect the line to be
the Saints by ten probably. So you know, if by
chance Matt Shob has to start this Atlanta game, I
definitely think that you are going to want I mean,
I just I know for a fact that you are
going to want the uh, the Saint side of that game.

(17:55):
And I like it regardless. You know, if Matt Ryan starts,
I still like the Saints minus seven. They I think
they got rather unlucky today and Kyle Allen pretty much
played a perfect game. Whereas Matt Ryan and the Falcons,
I mean on offense. I know that they smoked the Panthers,
but they smoked the Panthers because Kyle Allen was horrible,
not because Matt Ryan was so great on offense. All Right,

(18:15):
And I hate to do this to you, but I'm
gonna confine you to one minute to talk about the
Bills and the Cowboys. Well, yeah, we're taking the Cowboys.
And the points here the Cowboys have basically proven. The
Cowboys have basically proven that they cannot be trusted against
good teams. They're they're basically going to be bad against
all good teams, but against bad teams, which a lot
of the available data says the Buffalo Bills not that good. Uh,

(18:39):
you know that's who you take. You take the Dallas
Cowboys against bad teams. You go Detroit, Dallas, and New Orleans.
Already the early picks ahead of a Week thirteen, on
the heels of a Week twelve that has given us
so much to unpack. When we come back, Davis and
I are going to dive a little bit deeper into
the rest of season schedule for teams that are on

(19:00):
a playoff bubble. We're gonna try to extract some fantasy
value from those players and add it to the list.
It's all about insight, it's all about research, it's all
about doing the due diligence, and that's what we do
right here on the Pro Football Rewind. He's Davis Maddick,
I'm that striker. We're gonna come back and always. We
want to say hi to everyone on Pluto TV channel

pro football rewind. My name is Match Striker. Joining me
as always is Davis Maddick Davis. Before the break, we
were talking about the Dallas Cowboys. Let's dive deeper into

(21:38):
this football team. In order for them to solidify their
playoff status. They take on Buffalo next week. You've already
gone on record to say that you believe they're gonna
win that game. How about their next game against Chicago?
Who wins that one? Yeah? I think they think they
beat Chicago. I actually think by that point Chicago, I
know the Truthskey played okay today, But if they lose

(22:01):
that game on Thanksgiving, you know that national TV game
is always gonna have big implications. Would not surprise me
a ton if they went to Chase Daniel, because you
know they Matt Niggie. He's probably do you think he's
coaching for his job? He's probably coaching for his job.
I don't know if he you know, if they win
six games this season, I don't know if they bring
him back next year. So what we're trying to look

(22:21):
for here, obviously, are the fantasy plays and how we
can utilize the rest of season schedule to our advantage.
And it looks like Dallas' closest competitor going to be
the Rams. Now the Rams have Baltimore coming up, then
they have Arizona, and then they have Seattle. Um, how
do the Rams do in those three games? I do
not feel very optimistic. I think that they are going

(22:44):
to lose on Monday Night, almost assuredly to the to
the Baltimore Raven side. It seems like they they are
they are underdogs in that game, and I just don't
know if they have the firepower to get through. I
also think that that Rams Cardinals game that's gonna be
a lot closer than we thought at the beginning of
the year. Now, maybe the Rams are able to get

(23:05):
that one out because they just have a much more
talented roster. But I actually think that Cliff Kingsbury is
calling better offense right now than Sean McVeigh. I think
Sean McVeigh seems rather lost on offense. And you know,
without a good run game with Todd Gurley, they just
have never really been able to get the passing game going.
And I don't know if it's because the secret is

(23:26):
out about the Rams passing game that they just have
everything figured out with the Rams passing game these opposing
defenses or I don't know what the deal is, but
you know, I they probably beat the Cardinals, but I
don't think that's a shoe in. They probably beat the
Seahawks at home, but again, you know that is going
to be a really close one. I think they're gonna
be underdogs on the road at Dallas. I think they're
gonna be underdogs on the road against the forty Niners.

(23:49):
And it could come down two week seventeen at home
against the Cardinals. You know, they could be in a
situation where, you know, maybe that game is for the
sixth seed, and if if they don't win, you know
that that could be their season. And that middle match
up Dallas and the Rams. I mean, that's the game
that you circle. And if all things continue the way

(24:09):
they are, there's certainly going to be a lot of
fantasy options there. There are a couple other teams that
we've talked about. We talked about how we do believe
that Tennessee Titans might be a team that are trending
upwards and they could be able to use surp or
you replace the Steelers for the a f C wild card.
Let's dive a little deeper. Into Tennessee's upcoming schedule. They
have Indianapolis next, Tennessee beats them, or does Indianapolis come

(24:32):
away with the W. No, Tennessee beats them in Indianapolis,
they've they've been figured out a little bit. Uh. They
just are too run heavy. And I know that Jonathan
Williams had a good game, but they were driving to
win the game, and the team they called a run
on third and six when they were driving to win
the game. It was like Frank Reich didn't know how

(24:53):
much time was left on the clock. Or maybe he
just thinks Jacoby Brissette is not good, or maybe Prisette
is more injured than we really. You know, Prissette was
dealing with that Knie s brain. Maybe the nice sprain
is worse than initially thought and he just was not
healthy enough. But the team didn't want to go to
Brian Hoyer on Thursday night. I am kind of off
Indianapolis though, after that Thursday night performance that that just

(25:14):
was not the performance of a playoff team to me,
in Indianapolis could be another team in the conversation to
overtake Pittsburgh, But let's stay with Tennessee. Then, their next
three games will be Oakland, Houston, and New Orleans. I mean,
you would think they'd have to go to in one there.
But where does that next wind come from? Yeah, I
don't know if I see I don't know if I

(25:35):
see it there. I think it seems kind of unlikely.
The best teems like they are on the outside looking in. Okay,
So now, given this this new information here looking at
the schedule from a logical point of view, that opens
up the door to talk about these Indianapolis colts. That
opens up the door to talk about the value of
Jacoby Brissette or Zach Pascal, or trying to look in

(25:55):
the backfield or maybe the tight end position. Because Indianapolis
has Tennessee, then they have Tampa Bay, and they have
New Orleans, Carolina and then Jacksonville. It is doable. Yeah,
they could beat They could beat the Buccaneers on the road.
You know, they have a good defense. They play smart,
intelligent football most of the time. You know, I actually
thought they were well coached up until these last pisode.

(26:18):
That game against the Steelers, the game against the Dolphins,
and this game against the Texans was a brutal stretch
for Frank Reich and this roster um. I will say though,
you know, playing against Jamis, anything had happened, the Buccaneers
could score forty or Jamis could throw four interceptions and
the Colts could walk in there and you know, win
by fifteen. That wouldn't surprise me either. The Saints game

(26:38):
on the road, that's probably gonna be a loss. That
Panthers game at home though, uh, the Cults are going
to be favored by four and a half likely in
that game, would think that would be a win. And
then on the road against the Jaguars, the Jaguars are
gonna have nothing to play for. That seems more likely
to me to be a Colts win than not. So
they are definitely alive for the five exceed Yeah, absolutely

(27:01):
so given that, which players on Indianapolis would you advise
people to kind of keep an eye on? Uh? Jack
Doyle for sure. This Jonathan Williams guys very interesting because
they love having a running back and they love feeding
that running back. And you know, Jonathan Williams is a
guy who has you know, good athleticism. He's a decent

(27:23):
player and they get they just gave him, you know,
over twenty touches. They were using him in the passing game.
You know, if he's out there on your waiver wire,
I think he's pretty strong. Not as interested in the
past catchers, you know, kind of as I just mentioned. Uh,
they just have not been very pass heavy and a
lot of it has been due to injuries. But you know,
now they have t Y Hilton back, Jack Doyle and
Eric Ebron are healthy. So it seems like not a

(27:44):
ton of space for for new contributors. It's very interesting analysis.
They're just not a ton of space. So if you're
going to try to jump on this bandwagon, you better
make the right choice. So we seemingly exhausted the options
here for the a f C wild card and really
try to extract p late more and more from it
as we apply it to fantasy. I wanted to go
back to this Dallas situation because if things remain the same,

(28:07):
they would play Seattle. Now, Seattle rest of season have Minnesota,
the Rams, Carolina, Arizona, and San Francisco. But the Seahawks
being nine and two, they're not gonna necessarily really drop
out of that position. So do you start to sell
off on Seahawk players? No, because they I think that

(28:30):
they could be competing for the one seed. So they're
they're not gonna want to stop going for it. They're
gonna and they probably will lose two of these games
to whether it be against the Panthers, whether it be
against the Vikings, the Rams, the forty Niners. You know,
I I certainly would not make them a favorite to
win out. So actually, on the contrary, I would say
Seahawks players are guys you would want to be acquiring

(28:51):
because they they are going to have to be playing, uh,
you know, full on, full tilt, trying to score until
the last play of the season, and if they go
to the number one, that would mean that the forty
Niners would then drop out or at least tumble a
bit as far as seating goes. What do you make
of what's going on with San Francisco's receiver corps and

(29:11):
still we have not been able to solve the backfield.
I mean, granted some time off might help, but what
can you tell us? Yeah, so as we are, as
we are doing this, uh, Tevin Coleman is having another
predictably not very good game, and you know, maybe maybe
by the end of this, you know, maybe he scores again.
Whatever I will say, though, Matt Brita is the key

(29:33):
to the backfield here. You know, Matt Matt Brida is
the is the best player in this backfield. And Tevin
Coleman is good in the red zone, He's a good
pass catching back, but Matt Breed is kind of the
engine that makes it all go. I would say the
only pass catcher I really want to own for fantasy
in San Francisco is George Kittle. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, And

(29:54):
I think that it's there are so many options there
like some of these other teams, but you just don't
know what you're gonna get. A lot of guys are
banged up, but you understand that they are still playing
for something. And I think that right there is most important.
Looking at this playoff picture and just because it's fun,
I like to fantasy book, Uh, it looks like it's
going to be the Saints and the Patriots here. Do

(30:15):
you see it any other way? Do you think that
Baltimore gets past New England in the conference championship? Yeah?
I think Baltimore is better than New England. I think
that their defenses are comparable. They were not to start
the year. Baltimore's defense was quite bad at the beginning
of the year. They've been much better over the last
month now. They've had a rather easy schedule. But the

(30:36):
biggest thing that's happening with the Patriots right now is
they just can't move the ball on offense. If they
win a Super Bowl, they are they they just are
not able to do what they did against the Chiefs
last year, which was score thirty seven points and you know,
throw for three or fifty yards. And it's because they
just they just do not have, Like, name an explosive
playmaker on the Patriots offense. The most explosive guy it

(30:58):
would be It would guess it would be Rex Burkhead
is a playmaker. But they they it's all system, it's
all coaching, and I think they're wonderfully coach and I
think they all execute perfectly. But the Ravens are well
coached and execute really well. But they have young athletic playmakers,
you know, Mark Andrews, Marquis Brown, mark Ingram Justice, ll

(31:19):
Gus Edwards, Lamar Jackson, like these guys can create value
even on plays where their teammates are not executing. Yeah,
but take thirty to seconds to talk about can those
young players that you just named go into New England
and win a playoff game. Well, it's it's hard right
going in. But I also would not be surprised if

(31:40):
the Ravens, you know, the the if they were able
to secure the number one seed. So this is the
Patriots schedule the rest of the way. They have to
play the Texans on the road. That's a comparable. That's
a team I could say could be the Patriots. They
have to play the Chiefs. They could lose that game too,
so it's not out of the question. Fair enough. When
we on back, we're gonna dive a little deeper into

(32:02):
what teams need to do and how that can help you.
We're also going to get into Davis's pickups and drop offs,
everything you needed more. When we come back, Davis is
gonna do some more New England Patriot diving because he
loves it. That's the pro football rewind here now. I

(32:44):
Promo Code action for a ten percent discount. That's Promo
Code Action for a ten percent discount. Welcome back into

(33:09):
the studio. This is the Pro Football rewind. My name
is Match Striker, joining me as always Davis Maddick. And
before we went to break, Davis was breaking down the
rest of the season schedule for the New England Patriots
as we try to identify some fantasy targets for this
football team. So Davis, pick up where you left off. Well,
there's not There's not a ton of for us in

(33:30):
these late games. I will say that the Green Bay Packers,
it seems like they have reordered their hierarchy of their
wide receivers a little bit. I think Marquez Valvez Scantling
is back to being a you know, a starting player
in this offense basically, and he was not before. He
was losing playing time to Alan Lazar, Jeronimo Alice and

(33:50):
Jake Kumero. Seems like Kumarro probably a thing of the past.
This is also a great time and this is not
something we've talked about on the show before. This is
the most ideal time for teams that have you know,
they're qualified for the playoffs, they're in they maybe they
even have a first round by this is time to
start stocking up on handcuff running backs. So that means

(34:13):
Wayne Gallman, Tony Pollard, Alexander Madison, these guys who are
very clear backups on on successful NFL teams. You know,
that's kind of the key is these guys who are
gonna be on winning teams, so they're gonna see rushing
attempts if the running back ahead of them gets injured.
That is basically what all of your fantasy football bench

(34:33):
should be this year or or at this point of
the year. If you have a good team, you know,
there's no use holding on too wide receivers. You'll never
start backup quarterbacks, backup tight ends. You need to have
you know, the most amount of upside jammed into your
roster as possible. Now as I just adjust my notes here,
so for those that have missed it, for those that

(34:55):
are just joining us, Davis has discussed in high regard
the following players and if they are available, they may
be players you might want to look at for season long,
as well as some good DFS matchups. We talked about
Sam Darneld, Jamison Crowder, and of course Robbie Anderson. And
you like the way the Jets are trending, don't you. I?
I do really like the way the Jets are trending

(35:17):
because this is doing a lot to keep Adam Gates's job.
This is doing a lot to convince the Jets that
Sam Donald needs to be invested in. You know, NFL
teams they don't have to pay big bucks for a
left tackle. They don't have to sign superstar free agent
wide receivers or or recruit you know, new pass catching
tight ends. They can kind of just roll things over,

(35:38):
plug some holes, draft some guys, and you know, the
better the Jets played down the stretch, the more they're
gonna be convincing the front office that, Okay, you know,
maybe we trade a draft pick for a wide receiver,
maybe we trade up in the draft to get a
left tackle, or maybe we we need, uh, you know,
a new slot wide receivers, so we draft that in
the third round instead of a cornerback. And you know,

(35:58):
the more help that Sam Donald gets, the better that
he's going to play. And I'm very bullish on say
like I've gone full circle on Sam Donald. You know,
I started out thinking he was great where the Jets
drafted him, loved in his first, very first NFL game,
he threw that pick six, then came right back, led
his team down for a touchdown, and was able to

(36:19):
win his very first NFL start. Then I think things
kind of circled this year. During that Patriots game, I
was ready to say, Okay, maybe it's maybe it's time.
But after these last three games, Uh, yeah, I am in.
And I think that Jamison Crowder Levi on Bell, Robbie
Anderson to Mary's Thomas, Ryan Griffin, all of those guys
are are very good holds in seasonal right now. Yeah, absolutely,

(36:43):
And Davis is bullish on the Jets. And it's about
the Bulls and the Bears and if nothing else, for
at least next week when the Bears play the Lions.
Are we in accord here that Alan Robinson and Anthony
Miller are certainly in play? Yeah, Anthony Miller is a
guy that is gonna be one of my top ads
of the week. And you know, when we get done here,

(37:03):
I'm gonna start working on my Waiver Wire column for
week thirteen. Crazy that we are at week thirteen already
and just just it's just wild. Yeah, Anthony Miller, if
he's going to keep playing this many snaps and be
targeted like this, yeah, I think there's a real chance that,
you know, maybe he's a top thirty wide receiver. Rest
of the way, Okay, you mentioned thirty. There are people

(37:24):
that are in deep, deep leagues, and sometimes roster thirty
players can't imagine and in something well maybe not that deep,
but in deeper leagues, you do like Jasper Horse dead,
don't you. Yeah, I mean, we we gotta we're talking,
we're talking very deep, like this is a guy to
add in your deepest of deep dynasty leagues. And yeah,

(37:45):
like you know, but that's what we give on this show. Yeah,
but honestly, because listen, there are people that are in
shallow leagues and for the most part, you don't need
the rich deep help. But for those that are in
deep leagues, those are the leagues that truly separate the
men from boys. And it's pickups like that that I
think people watch this show and listen to you for

(38:05):
things like that. On another contingency, plan. We have to
look at the fact that someone like Boyd over in
Cincinnati has been dropped and picked up and dropped and
picked up, but you think moving forward he could have
some value. Yeah. I mean it's very hard to it's
very hard to look at the Cincinnati Bengals offense and say, okay,

(38:25):
uh we we gotta we wanted players in this offense.
Boyd is really the only one that I would feel
comfortable starting on a weekly basis. And even even then,
you know, even then, you you kind of have to
look at it and say, well, this is not great.
You know, I don't feel I don't feel great about this,
but I'm going to do this because the ceiling is,
you know, ten eleven, thirteen targets in a week. The

(38:46):
floor is what we've saw in the last two weeks,
which was literally two catches for zero yards. Uh So, yes,
you can start Boyd. Yes you can pick him up,
but no, this is not prime a j green that
you were getting, No, not at all. And Boyd has
the Jets next week. Would you start him there? Yeah?
I I would Yeah, yeah, I would start him. You

(39:08):
got to all right, And then we talked about some
running backs you love yourself, some Patrick Lair, and we
also said that Benny Snell might be the guy, given
the fact that Jalen Samuels is no longer the flavor
of the month. Yeah, James Conner is he's got the
shoulder injury and he's been hurt so much this series,
left games with a shoulder injury, he's left games with

(39:31):
an ankle injury, with a knee injury, and Benny Snell
was returning from an injury himself, which you think, Okay, well,
maybe that's not great, but actually history shows that these
guys who missed time either at the beginning of the
year or the middle of the year, if they come
back healthy, that means that they're actually fresh. So they
have you know, fresh knees, fresh, they're they're they're ready
to go. And James Conner not very fresh considering all

(39:55):
the injuries that he's picked up this year. So I
could see, you know, Snell maybe getting two or three
more start for the Steelers, and a lot of people
were all over Jalen Samuels and it just didn't seem
to materialize. In another group of players that come out
of nowhere. You talked about them from Miami. You talked
about DeVante Parker, Alan Hearns and just sicky here. Do
you think that there is uh fantasy viability here, don't you? Yeah?

(40:19):
I'm I'm in I'm in on Devonte Parker, I'm in
on Mike Kisiki. I think Alan Hearns is a very
interesting kind of deep league ad. And you know what,
while we're here adding some rushing upside, Ryan Fitzpatrick maybe
in deep leagues, uh, you know, maybe not the worst
guy like in terms of quarterback streamers. If you can
find guys who can you know, run a little bit

(40:43):
like that's big for quarterback streaming. Absolutely, And I think
that you've often saying the praises of guys like Lamar
Jackson and these guys and Kyler Murray. You love a
lot of running quarterbacks, and I think it let's Fitzpatrick
become a deeper kind of option. Speaking about going deep here,
Trevion Williams was mentioned by you, Um, how deep should

(41:05):
someone dive here? How far should someone reach? So you
probably honestly don't even need to add him right now,
but you just need to wait till you hear the
first signal of the Bengals going okay a j Green
is not gonna come back, Joe Mixon is gonna be
on a reduced workload. Maybe Tyler Boyd they they kind

(41:26):
of start to trend him down. Or actually, here's a
great signal. If they announced that they're gonna shut down
Tyler Eiffert, who is there, you know, this injury prone
tight end who they theoretically have a role for the
next time that they are good. If you hear Tyler
Eiffert is gonna get shut down, that probably means that
Mixon is gonna come close to being the next one.
And then you can add Trevin Williams nice a little

(41:48):
bit of a shot across the bow that we should
look for if we are looking to pick up some
shares in Cincinnati's backfield. Stranger things have happened. You mentioned
two players that I think are very interesting. I know
side I would want, and I've been on it all
season because after Week two or three I threw away
this other player Cole Beasley on one side, mv S

(42:08):
on the other. Moving forward rest of season, would you
rather have? I cannot believe that I'm saying this. I
can this is very rude of you to even make
me stay on TV but I'm gonna say, I'm going
to say cool Beasley. I I like, he just is
getting targeted more often. And MVS we've seen him have

(42:30):
a role, than not have a role, then score a
long touchdown and then go back to being you know,
completely useless, and uh yeah, that's that's just that's that's miserable,
right like that. Uh, no one, no one wants to
be a part of that. And Cole Beasley just has
that consistent usage every single week. Yeah. And it's interesting
that you say that, because sometimes players have a stigma
attached to them, or we have our personal feelings, but

(42:51):
when you look at those numbers and you cover the
player's name, sometimes you need to do that because you
cannot deny the numbers. And yes, Beasley has been fairly consistent,
of course, playing behind Brown, who has been uber consistent.
I definitely agree with you there. I think MVS has
been disappointing, as has the season for Green Bay. Some
other names that came up is that Tennessee is getting

(43:11):
their big tight end back and you think if he's
out there, people should jump huh. I definitely do think
that people should jump on Delaney Walker because this offense
is much better than we anticipated. We thought this was
going to be a boring offense. We thought that they
were going to be, you know, basically running the ball
all the time, and that that has not been the
case at all. You know, they have been run heavy,

(43:33):
but they've been way more efficient at throwing the ball
than than anticipated. And yeah, Delaney Walker, he could lead
them in targets once he comes back the rest of
the way, all right. And then the final three names
that I have written down here you mentioned they're all handcoffs.
It's Gallman, Pollard, and Madison Davis. You can only have one.

(43:53):
What are you taking? Why? I am going to take
Alexander Madison because he has a little bit of standalone value.
You know, if four of your running backs decided that
they wanted to take a vacation in week fourteen and
you started Alexander Madison, you would feel confident that, you know,
he could grind you out four or five points and
maybe score a touchdown. So I definitely like that upside.

(44:14):
But also if something happened to Dalvin Cook guy tweaks
his ankleton miss is a couple of weeks, he would
be I think just as good. I think he would
be you know, the running back five in fantasy the
rest of the way, well, fair enough, and those Vikings
play Seattle next week in a Monday night matchup. What
can people expect to see there? What would be the
DFS plays in that game. I haven't quite gotten there yet,

(44:40):
I have, I haven't thought all the way through. All right,
fair enough. At least you're honest. And even if you lied,
I think your initial reaction would have told the world
and it says it's it's no fault of anyone because
there's just so much to do, and for you, the
week isn't over yet. Right after you're done doing this,
you do your podcast and then you start writing your articles. Right,
oh yeah, we got Sunday night. I mean, you know,

(45:02):
you and I get off this show and and really
the process of starting the new week begins, and then I,
you know, I grab a couple of hours of sleep
and get back up and start start tweaking things for
for week thirteen. You know, the grind during the NFL season,
it never stops. Matt, absolutely, I agree wholeheartedly. On the
other side, I do want to just start to scratch

(45:23):
the surface of some of next week's games and try
to think ahead because for a lot of people, they're
looking at their bank roll in their daily fantasy and
they're wondering, what do I do with it next? Davis,
I want to ask you, when you win and you
win big, do you cash out or do you leave
it in there? It kind of depends on kind of
depends on what's going on in my life. I am

(45:43):
more of a leave it on their kind of guy,
because you know, my my gambling, my sports investment bank
role is very different than my life bank roll. You know,
those are two separate funds. Maybe once in a while,
you know, for for example, I bought this computer that
you and I are doing the show on I did.
I did take the money out of the investment fund
to purchase this. But most of the time I'm just

(46:05):
kind of trying to roll it on over into uh,
you know, and into something bigger and do a bigger score. Yeah. Absolutely,
I agree with you. So the reason I asked is
that last week I looked at my account and I
took a certain number out, I left a certain number in,
and I realized I did the math, how many weeks
are there left of football? How much can I wager

(46:25):
each and every week, whether it be in DFS or
it's in sports investments, and then I'll turn it over
when I focus on n B A, NHL and of
course MLB. But we're all about fantasy football here. So
the Pro Football Rewind comes back. We're gonna talk to
Davis Maddick about what to look for next week. We're
gonna review everything Davis taught us and more. You're better
for being here, so come on back. Sports gird dot

has an absolutely amazing night and we could not do

sports Grid, We could not do it without the folks
in Pluto TV. We could not do it without all
of you. Thanksgiving us coming up, and of course we
want to let you know how thankful and grateful we
are for everything that everyone in the fantasy sports community does. Davis,

(47:42):
this has been an amazing gear for you. What are
you most thankful for? You know, I am most thankful
for this great job at sports Grid that lets me
do what I love to do. You know, I would
be doing all this fantasy stuff, all of this research,
all of these lineups, I would I would be doing
them anyway. So being able to you know, do that
as part of my job and then be able to

(48:03):
share it with you, with my co workers at Daily
Rhodo dot com and with all the subscribers is is
really awesome. All right, give it to me quick. It's
just pick a name here, Deshaun Watson versus New England
or darn O verus Cincinnati. I can only start one.
Who's it going to be Watson? But you're gonna feel
horrible about it? Okay, Sammy Watkins against Oakland or Robbie

(48:25):
Anderson against Cincinnati. Can only start one. Who's it gonna
be Robbie Anderson, but you were gonna be miserable watching
Mahomes go for four, like four twenty yards against the Raiders.
All right, fair enough? And Miller versus Detroit or Watkins
versus Oakland. I can only start one, uh Miller, just
because I I am writing on I'm writing on that

(48:48):
right now. I think he's got a real role in
that offense. Okay. And also quickly here the Bucks are
playing the Jags. Am I all over Evans and Godwin?
Yes or no? You gotta be all over it? Fair enough?
All right? This Charger Bronco game, this I can't make
heads or tails? What should I be looking for here
next week? Uh? You should be looking to see if

(49:10):
Philip Rivers is just completely toasted. If this is the
last that we are going to see of Philip Rivers. Okay,
I like how you ended that. And then the Panthers
and the Redskins. Is now the time to jump back
on this Carolina offense? I mean they're gonna be widely owned,
But what do you think? Yeah, I definitely think it's time.

(49:31):
DJ Moore just a phenomenal player. Christian McCaffrey. You know
what else can be said about Christian McCaffrey and Kyle Allen.
He's got a very wide range of outcomes any given game.
But we do love the Panthers skill position players absolutely,
and you, my friend, are a skilled position player as well.
Dominating the fantasy sports industry. He's Davis Maddick. I'm Matt Driker.

(49:54):
This the Pro Football Rewind. We say thank you everyone
watching us on Pluto TV, everyone out there on YouTube
and Instagram, and of course everyone Sports Grid, happy and
healthy Thanksgiving to all of you. We'll see you next time.
