(00:00):
I'm Jeff Stevens. Thanks for checkingout my eighties show podcast, and I'm
so excited to talk to eighty superstarand boy she is still busy today.
It is Tiffany. Hello. Hello, how you doing. I'm great?
Thank you. Well, it's probablybeen about fifteen years ago and you've done
about one billion things since then. But I had a chance to hang out
with you here in the studio andyou were on the radio with me for
(00:22):
about an hour and we had somuch fun. So it was really nice
meeting you. Then, Well, thank you. I appreciate that we'll have
to do that again. That soundslike a lot of fun. And yes,
I do remember a lot of differentthings. I'm sure when I walk
into your studio I would be like, oh, yes, so you know
it's like we're constantly touring, sothat's what you know we do. And
(00:44):
I have like plans for sure oftwenty twenty four to do that. So
well, Tiffany, it is soreally really nice to talk to you.
And I just want to say yoursong Angels All Around is beautiful and tell
us a little bit about the inspiration. It was inspired by fans, right,
it was, Yes, I meanin COVID people were just reaching out
to me with messages, you know, and being honest about how they felt.
(01:06):
And some would write things like, you know, I know you're the
girl that sings I think we're alonenow, but I really feel alone,
you know, And I was like, oh, you know exactly, that's
how I felt. And I waslike, there's just I felt that way
too. I started my cooking clubthrough a lot of that Let's Food with
Tiffany, because I was making mygrandma's recipes just you know, they've long
passed my mom, my dad.So I was just wanting to connect with
(01:27):
home and I started sharing them withthe fans and started a cooking club and
I just kept it going because Ilove it, you know. So that's
the second thing that I do.But with angels all around, it was
like, you know, I've alwayswanted to write a Christmas single and it
just never happened. And this justhappened at a time that it was like
(01:49):
we can rush it and get itout there, but we're okay to sit
in the same room and write together. We've gotten that far through with COVID,
so we did. Margie Hawser andMark Alberty. We three got together
and just started working on something thatI shared within these stories from fans and
how I felt about it as well, and we wrote this beautiful song of
(02:10):
just these organic stories and feelings. So you know, it's it's amazing because
now I'm getting all these tweets andagain responses on Facebook and my website to
newtunes, dot calm, you know, about people still having these stories even
though we're out of COVID. Youknow, a lot goes on in life,
so it's you know, it's acontinual song. I hope that gives
(02:32):
you know, again inspiration and hopeand and no matter where you are literally
you know, there are angels. There's hope for you, and there's hope
for the situation you know, hangon kind of things. So yeah,
you know, it's it's really feelslike, you know, this song is
kind of magical. It came fromsuch an organic again source and timing,
(02:53):
so in you know, honor ofthat, I'm working with Children's Miracle Network
and I've decided to do some handpainted ornaments for this Christmas even next Christmas.
It's gonna be my thing. Soangels all around on your tree.
So that goes to Children's Miracle Networks. So again tifty tunes dot com if
anybody's interested, I'm just gonna keeppainting again. I find these projects and
(03:15):
I love that and they work forespecially for the Children's Miracle Network. You
have to come up with, youknow, interesting ideas to keep it going,
right, So I thought, well, this is cool. I like
decking out angels. There's glitter everywhereas well as those angels all over my
house. Oh my goodness, it'sbecome a thing. So you've got the
you've got painting, you've got cooking. You still, obviously are are just
(03:37):
amazing your your voice is so beautifuland perfect on this song. And I
was just I know you said earlierthat you are going to be doing some
touring in twenty twenty four. Canwe look forward to seeing you out there?
Are you? Are you on atour with some other people? What
are you? What are you goingto be doing for next year? You
can tifty tunes dot com. Iam touring with a few other people like
(03:59):
Taylor Day, and usually there's somefreestyle that comes through, and you know,
once a year, twice a year, and you know, my pop
up concerts as well, and alot of different cookbook signing as well as
like TIF takeovers where I go intolike a restaurants and do an acoustic set
and then host an eating of food. So there's lots on the horizon.
(04:20):
Yes, oh my goodness. Andcan you even believe how long it has
been since I think we're alone nowfirst hit? I mean, that's got
to be blowing your mind. Youwere sixteen, right, I was,
yeah, well fourteen when I recordedit, sixteen by the time we were
off and running. So yeah,I mean it's amazing again to have fans
(04:40):
that you know, followed me inthe beginning, the mall tour experiences together.
I love that. So you know, now we're just doing new things,
you know, as well as youknow again you know now Christmas music
of course with angels all around. But you know, I mean I'm still
touring, so I get to seeeverybody hopefully once a year, uh,
(05:00):
you know at festivals. I knowI'm going to be doing a lot in
the UK this next year. Sobut you know, again, I do
have the TIF takeovers and the booksigning, and it's really cool that people
come and they see these other shows, and you know, of course I
still do the hits. They're justacoustic and it's more intimate and uh,
you know, you get to tastefood. So I mean I'm really excited
(05:21):
to kind of put all of ittogether and yeah, doing some of those
you know, intimate shows, becauseI mean, I don't want to say
they're my favorite. I love allthe shows really, but you know,
there is something kind of I don'tknow, maybe get to see people and
talk to people and you know,and it's just I don't know, it's
one of a kind experience. Iguess so because it is so intimate,
(05:42):
it just lends itself to whatever it'sgoing to do. Yeah, well,
I know we've just got a minuteor two here. I could talk to
you forever. But I you know, I know everybody thinks, oh,
I think we're a low now,But I think on songs like could have
Been and all this time, that'swhen I think you really really shine your
voice. Just those songs still giveme chills. Oh well, thank you,
(06:02):
yes, And I enjoy sing andthem could have been my favorite.
Yeah, this thing, of courseI love. I think We're Alone because
it makes people feel great, right, And but could have Been is really
a song that I just love soas a vocalist and enjoyed singing it every
night. So yeah, we alwaysdo it. We even do it acoustically
as well, so you know,I mean, I'm rocking it all the
(06:23):
time. So at every show,I don't ever not play the hits in
a Tiff show. That's cool.So there's always that structure and that balance
and that remembrance, you know, because the amazing song Oh it takes us
right back there to the late eighties. I mean, it's it's just they're
so powerful, and I love it. You've become a whole marketing storm here
with all your different things you're doing. That's fantastic. I'm enjoying it.
(06:46):
I really just want to do differentthings as well as music and create and
you know, and have that bean expression of you know, into the
fans, into their lives and youknow, a different kind of connection.
So it's awesome, you know.Like I said, it started in COVID
and then I realized, oh Ireally like this. I keep this going.
Well, it's awesome, Tiffany.I know, we got to let
(07:08):
you go, but everybody should checkout angels all around and we look forward
to seeing you out and about withall the different things you're doing in twenty
twenty four, Tiffany, thank youso much. Take care,
