(00:24):
Coder Robleiss hanging out as we getour week started. Kim, we have
a good one. We've got HunterDrew coming up this week on the podcast,
and we've also got our next twoguests after Hunter, that we can
reveal some guys that the folks aregoing to enjoy hearing from. We're excited
to talk to Hunter, and thenwe'll talk about what we talked about after

(00:47):
the interview with Hunter, and thenwe'll talk about more from the interview with
Hunter, and we'll get to ourusual hour with some scrolling X scrolling Twitter.
A close call for me involving afire in the last week, Kim,
So I'll tell the folks. I'lltell the folks all about that.

(01:07):
You've been all over Instagram with somesome good topical hockey stuff too, and
we're ready to get it going.Yeah, let's go. Well, let's
get to it. Let's get toHunter Drew Kim. We talked to him
earlier, earlier in the week andwe'd never met him, the newest Roadrunner
at the first new Roadrunner of theseason, and we had a lot of

(01:29):
fun. Yeah, yeah, absolutelyfantastic. Again, love his name because
it requires a little effort. I'msure it's the same for you when you
see somebody with a name like his. Although it was funny to hear that
people still have problems with his nameeven though it is so extremely easy.
They think he's sexy model Drew Hunter. But here is Hunter Drew on Center

(01:53):
podcast with me and Kim and joiningus now here, newest member of the
Tucson Roadrunners. We know him fromthe last couple of years with our border
arrivals, the San Diego Goals. It's Hunter, Drew Hunter. How's it
going today, man, Welcome toTucson. Yeah, it's good. I'm
I'm doing well. Thanks for havingme on. Yeah, thank you for
coming on this afternoon. Busy timea year, getting ready to get back

(02:15):
into hockey mode, getting ready tomake your way into the desert. Where
are you and what are you upto today? Currently, I'm on Vancouver
Island, British Columbia, close toVictoria. Yeah, about two hours away
in Nanaimo. Nice. Nice,Yeah, So not doing much. Just

(02:36):
worked out this morning and now justkind of hanging out, Kim. Have
you ever been to Vancouver Island? So I actually used to live up there.
I lived on a small island calledWhidby, just south of the Canadian
border. So I am so jealousHunter that you're up there right now.
God, I that's the dream isto get back there because I love that
part of the world so much.Yeah, it's beautiful, a landscape's beauty

(03:00):
full. But BC's got a lotof the wildfires going on, so that's
obviously sad. Oh I didn't realizethat that is sad. Yeah, I
didn't realize. It's gotten all theway over to to where you are out
out west there. But but smokyand stuff. It's not too bad on
the island, but the mainlands,Yeah, not very good, which is

(03:22):
obviously, like I said, verysad. It's heartbreaking, but there's not
much you can really do, whichis the worst part. Yeah. Yeah,
yeah, no, it's uh,it's it's not fun at all.
So what what's going on in inBC, skating and and getting ready to
start the year. And I'm suregetting outside and enjoying that the outdoors when

(03:43):
you can, when it's when it'shealthy. Yeah, No, I've just
been I've been here since the startof June. So I've been training out
here, working out, skating obviouslyas much as I can, and going
on the boat as much as Ican as well up into Fino, which
is always fun and I haven't survedyet up there, but I definitely want

(04:05):
to try that. Other than that, it's kind of just been hanging out,
relaxed, and it's kind of agrueling season every year obviously. See,
you kind of just want to chillout in the summer and let your
body prepare. How'd you find outabout the road Runners? Had you get
in touch with us and get thedeal signed? That was through my agent.
He just called me. It's kindof I mean, I feel I

(04:29):
feel like it happened pretty quick. It was like within maybe a week or
two weeks max. He just said, like, you know, they have
some interest, and then the nextcall was like, hey, I think
they're gonna offer you. And thenthe next call was like, hey,
they offered you. I think it'sa really good opportunity. I think you
should take it. It was likea pretty bang bang bang, So I
just said, yeah, I obviouslyknow a lot about Tucson, and I

(04:50):
was excited, and I agree.I think it's good opportunity, good definitely
a good spot to play in goodcity. So I'm very happy. Now
teen games against the road Runners duringthe course of your career, and Kim
one thing, uh, one thingI'll do, not on purpose, but
you know you'll be watching games againstus and you're like, I think that

(05:11):
guy would make a make a prettygood Roadrunner someday obviously obviously, Hunter,
right, Oh, yeah, Ithink you're going to be such a fantastic
fit with this team. Hunter,Thank you. I appreciate it. Yeah.
Absolutely. In fact, I wasgoing to ask you so Adrian and
I were talking earlier, and Iwas going to say, as the PA
announcer, definitely give a big thanksto your parents. We're giving you such

(05:34):
an incredibly fantastic name for me tosay, big big fan of your parents.
But I was curious, what isthe guys, what's your nickname in
the locker room? It is suchan easy name that I don't even know,
like what would your nickname be.Yeah, a lot of guys just
call me Drusie. That's like themain way. But it's funny. It's
you mentioned like you pa announcer. But a lot of places I'll go,

(05:57):
the people say like Drew Hunter becauseit's just so easy to get it backwards,
because I like, I said totwo first names. So it's kind
of funny, but that's what itis. Yeah, most people just call
me Jerusy okay, good to know, good to know. And then so
you're originally from Ontario are you?But you're living in b C now,
Yeah, I'm from Kingston, Ontario. It's kind of in the middle of

(06:19):
like Toronto and Ottawa, kind ofkind of area. I'm dating a girl
from British Columbia, so that's whyI came out to the island for the
summer. I spent some time withher, but I'm actually going back to
Kingston until camp on Friday, soI'll get like three weeks at home,
which is nice. Yeah, that'sgreat. And then so fair, I

(06:41):
would say a fair amount of ourguys or from Ontario, which I know
is a huge province. But areyou are you familiar with any of the
current Roadrunners. Do you know anyof the guys? Uh? I know.
It's actually funny. So the goalieMatt Vololta, he signed with the
Coyotes. He's actually also from Kingston. I grew up with him, went
to high school with him, playedagainst him the last four years. Really

(07:05):
close with his family, and heactually has a twin brother. I have
a twin brother, so a lotof things in common. So we would
hang out all the time when we'reboth home in the summers. And I'm
excited about that. And then aguy who'll also sign with the Coyotes.
Hopefully he's up there, but younever know. It's Justin Kirkland. I
played with him in San Diego lastyear. Awesome guy, you know,

(07:27):
Like I said, don't know ifhe'll be up or down, but either
way, a really good guy andgives another familiar face at least for when
I get there. You played againsthim when he was with Stockton too,
so him knew him from there, and then obviously better when he becomes your
teammate. Yeah, exactly, Soreally good guy. I'm really excited about
that. And then you know otherguys you don't necessarily know, like personally

(07:53):
but just from playing over the courseof a few years or whatever, you
just end up talking, you know, on faceoffs or in warm up or
crossing paths, you know, wherever. So I think it would be pretty
easy to kind of fit in andjust adjust to a new organization. So
I was in the military, andit's it's really interesting to watch you guys

(08:13):
moved to all these different places andas frequently as you're moving. It very
much reminds me of when I wason active duty. And so I was
curious, like, how do youfigure out before you get to a place
where you're going to live, whatpart of town you're going to live in,
you know, because like in SanDiego, you could, you know,
make the wrong decision and end upin it, you know, and
that's so crazy part of town, you know, So how do you make

(08:37):
that decision? Have you talked toanybody from here yet? I've kind of
just I mean, you just kindof brainstorm, I guess, Like,
you know, I played against Tucsonfor four years, so you kind of
get in and around the ranks here, Like I think that place looks all
right, or maybe I won't gothere kind of situation, But I think
Matt Volot and I are going tolive together, and he's already out there,

(09:00):
so he's kinda he's kind of lookingaround as he's out there and gonna
try and figure it out. Andthen the other side of it. Actually,
oddly enough, my girlfriend's aunt livesin Tucson, her husband. It's
so random. Her husband's a realestate agent, so he's kind of like
sending us spots and and like Isaid, giving us though, yeah,

(09:22):
this is a good spot or maybenot there. Kind of situation, so
super random. I'm obviously very gratefulfor that, so I should make it
a lot easier. That's fantastic, that's so incredibly lucky. So I guess
one of my key questions in determiningwhere you're gonna live do you play golf?
Yeah? Okay, because it seemsAdrian correct me if I'm wrong,

(09:45):
but it seems like the boys kindof have two central hubs, and one
of them is pretty much on agolf course. Yeah, we can put
you right on the golf course there, Hunter, get your right right up
up next to it. It seemspretty popular where where a lot of the
guys, a lot of the guysgo. Yeah, that'd be perfect,
just working on my short game inthe backyard during my days. Are you

(10:11):
a good golfer or not a goodgolfer? But I feel like in a
weird way, that's what makes itfun, just like you know, just
like hockey, you just want towork at it every day. And obviously
in Arizona where the weather's nice, you kind of get that opportunity all year
round. So that's that's definitely abonus. Yeah, you have been incredible.

(10:33):
Sorry, Adriank go ahead. Ohno, go ahead, Kim.
Sorry, No, I was justgonna say sorry, we are the happiest
couple in Tucson Radio. Hunter. This usually doesn't happen. We usually know
where the others going. That's allgood. You go, Adrian, It's
my turn. Hey Hunter. Youknow, playing in San Diego for three

(10:54):
four years, you finished last yearin Rockford and now coming to Tucson.
But San Diego to Tucson, whynot? Right? I mean, if
you're talking best spots in the league, those are those are two of the
top three eighty five. So I'mdefinitely very fortunate for that and two very
very very very good spots. SoI'm I mean, I learned that the

(11:18):
hard way. Like you mentioned goingto Rockford, So going from San Diego
to Rockford wasn't exactly the you know, the best living situation in terms of
the city. So being back outlast and Tucson is awesome for me.
Kim, you said that you weregonna ask the exact same question as me
right there. That worked out perfect, Yes, you got it. Yeah,

(11:39):
eventually eventually ended up in the inthe same spot. Yeah, definitely,
definitely if you had a chance totalk to our coaches, Steve and
Zach, John, Jake Wagman, our Director Hockey Operations, John ferguson our
our GM, any interaction on thatfront so far. Yeah, Actually,

(12:01):
every single one of them call ortexted me, which was very, very
nice to feel kind of welcomed likethat. I think that was a good
introduction, I guess in a sensewhere you know, you're obviously haven't met
them, you know, face toface, but just from playing over the
years, I think you kind ofhave a gauge on are you here at

(12:22):
least or you know, like yousaid, you just have a gauge on
people, and it's nice to heartheir voice and talk over the phone and
kind of set a little bit oflike a standard or an expectation and kind
of just you know, let thatroll with the rest of the summer.
I think I talked to them prettyearly in July, so that gave me,
i don't know, eight ten weeksto work on what they were saying,

(12:43):
or at least, you know, take what they were saying into consideration
and you know, my training ormy life or you know, wherever I
could add their input. Yeah, all great guys. Steve our head code
Zac Stortini, starting a second yearas an assistant, not too far removed
from from being a player. Anyfamiliarity with Zach from his playing days,

(13:03):
He's he's kind of a bruiser. What we get from from guys that played
against Zach was like, gosh,he was scary and then then comes here
as our coach and oh, he'sthe best guy ever. Yeah that's uh,
That's usually how it goes with alot of those guys, which is
awesome. So I'm excited. Inever played against him, but I've definitely
familiar with this game. I loved, loved his game, so I think

(13:26):
it's gonna be really fun to kindof just talk about it and learn about
his experience as a player. Here'sa stat for you Hunter. Looking at
the HL stats from the last twoyears, the Coyotes organization has two of
the top five penalty minute leaders init right now from the HL the last

(13:46):
two years. Yourself obviously, CurtisDouglas, Montana Montana, Anya Bucci.
We like our We like prickly cactushere in the desert. That's perfect,
I think, hopefully. Well,I would assume we're gonna be hard to
play against, and I'm definitely excitedfor that. Like you said, I
you know, I don't mind mixingit up, and I know just from

(14:07):
playing those guys they don't mind mixingit up either. I think that's definitely
gonna be part of our game asa group. Any memorable stories playing against
the road Runners, either either fightingor you know, a huge game at
the TCC or maybe in San Diego. We've got some good battles over the
years. I feel like, naturally, I don't know what it is.

(14:28):
I just I feel like, asa player, sometimes you just have those
teams where you play well, thosebuildings you play well, and I feel
like two sons always that one,but kind of a funny one I think
it was, and honestly might havebeen the COVID year. But when Michael
Bonting was there, he was healways stretches at the red line and he
was kind of, you know, one of playing against him. He's just

(14:50):
one of those guys that just kindof bothers you, you know, just
like kind of gets under your skinwhatever. And I think it was on
the back to back and he wasstretching at the red line the second night,
and I remember I just shooting boxat him. I remember this like
scuffle kind of started during warm upat at the red line and we were
kind of getting down each other's throats. There was probably eight ten of us

(15:11):
on each team that were there,So that kind of made me laugh and
kind of set the tone for theseries, obviously, But yeah, that
was a funny one. Michael wasdefinitely very chirppy. And I wasn't even
with the team that I was justa season ticket holder, but I remember
he was in the penalty box quitea bit. Yeah, yeah, that's

(15:31):
a good time. So I sawin your Wikipedia page that you kind of
came up as a defenseman and nowyou're kind of transitioning into more of a
forward position, right, Yeah, that's Yeah, that's also kind of a
weird situation. I guess I feellike it happens sometimes but not, you

(15:52):
know that often. I just kindof got a call going into my third
year from Todd Marshawn. It wasjust the director of player development, Annaheim,
and said, hey, you know, here's the deal. We have
you know, X amount of defenseman, We have this many spots we played.

(16:14):
You played forward a couple of gamesthe year before because of the Taxi
squad, you know, kind ofjust had a filled spots that year.
So I played like a few gamesbefore. He's like, we kind of
liked what you did and feel likeyou could have a better opportunity as a
forward. So this might have beenmaybe a month before camp. He's like,
take the next month. I knowit's it's weird, a little bit
shocking, but take the next monthtrain as a forward, and then you

(16:38):
know, come into camp as aforward and we'll work with you and kind
of just see how it goes. And then yeah, for the last two
years I've been playing forward. Isit a big Obviously where you are physically
on the ice, it's such abig difference. And then I would assume
that that mentally takes a lot toremember you know where you are and what

(16:59):
you know, what you're supposed tobe doing. Yeah, it's definitely.
Mentally, i'd say it's definitely veryhard. It's I don't know, just
we I don't know. It's justa lot different. Like you got four
lines instead of three, so youplay a little bit less. But at
the same time, I feel likeas a forward, you're working harder because
you're you're chasing the whole game almostin a sense, whereas a defenseman,

(17:22):
I don't know ninety five percent ofthe game, Like you're facing the play,
so like kind of see everything developand you kind of see the game
come at you, where I feellike as a forward it's almost the other
way around. And that leads intophysically where I feel like you almost have
to be in better shape because you'reskating a lot more and just the way
that I play, not you know, everyone, I feel like it's as

(17:44):
physical as me, but I liketo finish hits, and you know,
I feel like that adds a lotmore skating when you're adding three, four
or five more strides every you know, every shift, I feel like that
definitely takes a toll on your bodya little bit, So you definitely got
to be in a little better shape, a little more physically demanding, that's
for sure. Yeah, I canimagine that it would be. My son

(18:06):
actually is fourteen, and he goesback and forth, and I know that
he loves playing defense because it's notas cardiovascularly demanding as it would be for
him to be chasing the puck.So he's always like, oh, I
get to play forward. I getto play defense today. He gets really
excited. But I was curious,so obviously I would say, probably to

(18:27):
son in San Diego or kind ofyou know, parallel in their youth outreach
programs, maybe you know, tryingto grow the game in a place,
in places where you know it's it'snot typical to have a hockey team.
I was curious, you know,if we're trying to get you know,
fans out to see the game, you know, what's one thing that you

(18:48):
would tell a fan about hockey toget them, you know, to get
them to chem see a game. That's a good question. I feel like,
I know there's so much Yeah, you know, like there's yea because
it's just such a big sport. But yeah, if you had you know,
one shot and had to tell somebody, I would say, maybe emphasize

(19:12):
like the speed of it. Iguess, like, I feel like it's
really hard to understand. I thinkthere's a fact out there too. I
think it's like I don't know whatthe numbers are, but like hockey hits
are like exceptionally harder than football hits, and people, you know, think
football is a very physical sport, which it obviously is, but you add
the speed of people skating around withlittle knives on their bottom of their feet,

(19:37):
basically skating full tilt into each otherand not to mention, you know,
they're making plays. And you getthe guys like Trevor Ziegers, who's
you know, adding like such askill element to the game. Like,
I feel like it's hard to kindof tie all that into someone, so
you kind of want them to justwatch and like, you know, develop
their own feeling for themselves. ButI would say definitely just emphasize the speed

(20:00):
of it and like what happens insuch a short amount of time. Hunter
tell us about your NHL debut andin April twenty twenty two, with Anaheim
getting the call and finding out youwere going to play, playing your first
game and just the overall experience ofyou know what, what everybody's looking to

(20:22):
do in the AHL, and that'suh playing the NHL. Yeah, I
was very fortunate enough to play twoNHL games for Anaheim. I'll never forget
that, that's for sure. Wetalked about being for transitioned forward. So
that was the same year I transitionedinto a forward. So playing my first
year as a forward and playing inthe NHL, we're definitely two things that

(20:45):
I did not see correlating. ButI guess kind of just had a good
year and they were impressed and calledme up. But the story of how
I got called up was kind ofa funny one. I just read their
day, woke up for practice, but the something happened at our practice drink
in San Diego and powaway where somethingto do with the ice melting. So

(21:08):
I got up whatever time seven am. Then we got the texts like,
hey, we're gonna push you know, push practice back to whatever time noon
or one o'clock instead of ten,so you know, we go back to
sleep for a bit if you want, and they come into the rink later.
So I said okay and whatever, went back to sleep and then woke
up like two hours later to Ulike three missed calls and two texts saying

(21:32):
like hey, this is you knowso and so, please give me a
call like urgent. So I wasfreaking out like, oh my god,
dude, what's going on? Whyare they calling me? And then obviously
ended up being a bit of afeel good story at the end. They
called me in and said, hey, you know, we're gonna call you
up. You're gonna play tonight andSan Jose was my first game and then
if you play, well, youknow, we'll play it again on Friday

(21:55):
in Dallas the end of the season. And I was lucky enough to play
both those games. So that wasdefinitely exciting. I think being in the
HL like it's a it's a grind, you know, physically, mentally,
and I think kind of when youget that little taste of playing in the
NHL, that's kind of what drivesyou. You know, It's like,

(22:15):
Okay, you know I made it. I did it for two games.
Let's see if I can do youknow, twenty games the next year,
you know, whatever the number is. You know, like that's kind of
what pushes pushes me, and obviouslyeveryone else in the league. Who wants
to play in the NHL. That'skind of like the I don't know.
I guess the determined determination that kindof wants to get you back there is

(22:36):
once you get that little taste ofit. So obviously that's what I'm working
towards. And you know, muchlike everyone else in the league. All
right, you ready to get toour fun questions here to wrap up wrap
up the podcast. Yeah, allright, I'll ask I'll ask our fun
questions we've had all summer and Kimstepping in and the transitional role. Kim,

(22:56):
if you've got any pipe up,Okay, don't be a stranger.
Just talk over me like you alwaysdo. It'll be fine. I definitely
have questions. It'll work all right. Outside of golf. Anything you're looking
forward to about coming to the desert, say after practice or on an off
day lazy Sunday, to get outand do that, you know you can.

(23:17):
You can take advantage of here thatmaybe you couldn't necessarily during hockey season
somewhere else. Yeah, I thinkbeing in Rockford definitely put it in perspective
of, you know, some toughercities you can be in. So honestly,
it's it's simple. But I'm justexcited to lay out by a pool
and just hang out and kind ofrelax that way, get in the sun.
If you know what we don't havehere, Hunter, we don't have

(23:40):
a marine layer. Sun's gonna beout every morning when you wake up,
Kim, I think the science isthree hundred and fifty days of sunshine.
I'm saying three hundred and sixty daysof sunshine. And honestly, on Saturday,
maybe the first time ever in thefive years I've been in tuc sun
that I haven't seen the sun allday. It's cloudy all day Saturday.

(24:00):
That's first time ever it's happened.Well, well, I have to get
my sun screen out then, yeah, yeah, definitely. And it's a
it's a in sunglasses. It's abright blue, bright blue sky. Yeah.
I lost my sunglasses in the oceanon Saturday. So that's a touch
of subthing. Oh no, Igotta get a new pair before I get
down there. What happened? Idon't even want to tell you. Oh

(24:23):
no, we have to hear.I was just kayak and then like trying
to spin the kayak and then obviouslydidn't go too well and just flipped it
and then I was I don't know, I was caught under it. I
had to flip the kayak back over. Then the kayak started sinking because there
was so much water, and sothen had to flip it back over upside

(24:45):
down and like swim with one armback to shore while dragging the kayak underwater.
So that was you want to talkabout a weekend workout that was definitely
definitely not easy. That is,that is a lot of work. Yeah,
you're telling me it's a very entertainingstory. Wait how far how far

(25:06):
off shore were you? Probably nottoo bad, maybe like one hundred feet
one hundred and fifty feet, whichis not that far, But when you're
holding a kayak underwater dragging it was, swimming with one arm is definitely not
you wish it was about three feet. Yeah, great cardio workout, Yeah
exactly. Yeah, I mean,Kim like I don't like. Swimming for

(25:30):
me is like the most intense cardioyou could ever possibly do, and like
yank yanking on a kayak a lotnot not fun and again lost my sunglasses.
So I was so mad to sure, not only did thirty people just
see me flip a kayak what doyou remember most about coming to Tucson as

(25:56):
a as a San Diego goal,About the city, the the the hours
leading up to the game, andin any off days you guys might have
had here just because you know howit is when you're on the road,
you're in a different city and you'rejust kind of checking it out, exploring.
You find a restaurant and maybe yougo to on every trip or anything
like that. Yeah, I'm abig I love like Mexican food. It's

(26:18):
like a I don't know, astaple for me. I guess, so
off days, I don't remember whatthis shop's called, but I always go
get tacos at this one spot,me and a couple of my teammates.
And yeah, we'd always rent thebird scooters fly around Tucson basically on those
and we'd always get Mexican food, which is awesome game day I honestly so

(26:42):
weird. One thing I remember,it's like we started staying at the hotel
attached to the rank or just onthe other side of the rink there last
year. You think that, youknow, it's just down the parking lot,
but when you got a suit on, like, it's crazy, how
hot it is when you're walking likeone hundred, you know, two hundred
meters and you're like sweating by thetime you get in there, just because

(27:03):
it's piping hot and you gotta suiton. But obviously you get in the
rink and cool down. But that'salways so so random. But that's something
that that I remember, is justbeing so hot before you even get in
the rink because there's not a directpath right, Like it's not it's there's
some steps involved, even though it'sright next door. Yeah you're going.
Yeah, definitely not an easy route, but that's all right. What's your

(27:26):
favorite cheat meal? Speaking of speakingof a good good dinner, I obviously
don't have in Canada or at leastnot a lot of spots, but Chick
fil A. I love Chick filA, So that's definitely my go to
when I'm when I'm in the States. No, no disagreements on our end

(27:47):
final final question, I guess Ihave Like we're the road Runners, Like
the name is is what we are, right, Like we had trips this
past season. We spent six daysin Calgary, which is seven days,
seven days, six nights in Calgary. We're in Vegas for a week twice,
just based on how the travel went, and we spent a week in

(28:08):
Cotchella Valley during the playoffs. Outof those three spots, or pick your
own, where would you want togo on vacation? Man, that's I
would say, might do a Vegasfor like three days and then maybe Coachella

(28:29):
for like three days. If youcould split it up. Maybe I like
it. I like it, kindof try that. I think I would
add one. I think i'd addSan Diego just because I love being there.
So sure, that's that's good.JSD. When we had him on,
he picked San Diego and it wasn'tan option and we let him run
with it. Yeah, I could. I could do that, all right,

(28:49):
Kim fun questions from Kim for forHunter. So your taste in music?
What's your goal scoring song? IfI had to pick one song right
now, I would probably do Searchand Rescue by Drake. Oh okay,
Oh I like that. Okay.Do you have you had a chance to

(29:11):
go to the movies at all thissummer? Have you seen Barbie or Oppenheimer
yet? I can't. I hateto admit it, but my girlfriend did
drag me to see Barbie. Didyou love? It was it amazing.
Not impressed. I was not impressed. Did she love it? Oh?
She loved it for sure. Allright, I'll try to refrain from singing

(29:33):
I am ken whenever I see yougood nightmares from that. Don't tell that
to Adrian. I'm trying to gethim to go see it. Yeah,
I need to ask my brother ifI can take my my niece this weekend.
Oh yeah, that's right. Yeahshappening. Popcorn, popcorn, the
candy that comes in a box, right, that's favorite thing about the movies,

(29:56):
The candy comes in a box.I love that there's candy you can
get at the movies now that doesn'tseem to be out in like anywhere else.
I've noticed that recently because I likemilk duds. Oh yeah, and
I dare not at Circle K.That's sad that I know that, because
I have gone on milk duds huntsbefore. So my last fun question for

(30:18):
you is do you have a seriesor TV show that you rewatch is kind
of like your comfort TV show, like the Office or Friends or anything like
that. Let's say mine's probably WillFriends is definite. We'll actually the Office
to both those are my favorite. One is probably entourage. Oh that's a
good one. Yeah, I haven'tseen that one in a long time on

(30:41):
trash. It is a good one. That's a great one. That's my
favorite for sure. Final question,Hunter, any questions for us before we
cut your loose? No, notnot really, just kind of excited to
get going and definitely got me thinkingabout buying a lot of sun screen.
But I would start now and justput it, start putting it on right

(31:03):
now before you get here. Yeah. Other than that, no, I
don't really got any questions. Thanksfor having me. Yeah, thanks for
coming on the podcast. Excited toget you here to the desert and uh
and have a have an awesome year. Yeah, cheers. Thanks Center Kim.
We call ourselves the happiest couple inTucson Radio. And can't you can't
you just feel it there and inthat interview, just just no no etiquette

(31:29):
whatsoever, right, like, likeyou know how it is when you've been
with somebody for for years and yearsand years and you're in your lane and
they're in their lane, and youknow what's gonna happen when they switch into
your lane and you're just gonna putthe pedal to the metal anyway, and
you you just don't care, LikeI know Kim's gonna talk, but I
want to talk too, So I'mgona talk. And it's it's it's it's

(31:52):
just how it goes. I canread your body language usually and tell that
you're gonna go. And for somereason, I just I don't know why
in that interview, I just wasn'tlooking and missed missed my cues. So
yeah, it happens. What areyou gonna do? I just I think
it's I think it's hilarious, likeits uh, it shows actual chemistry.
This is not stuff we put weput in a machine and and spit back

(32:17):
out process. This is uh,this is live radio. We gave Hunter
the vacation question Kim. Rockford notone of not one of his options,
and I don't think what it wouldhave taken it. But if if do
you want to go on a tripto Rockford, Kim, They've they've got
like these uh these river cruise thingsthat you can go on and and you
know it's it's fine. I'm good. I'm pretty sure I can do a

(32:43):
river cruise somewhere else. I hadto alight, alright, Kim, alright,
Kim, but I will turn thisinto a positive Okay, go all
right. So have you ever flowninto Chicago? Yeah? Of course,
if you wanted a cheaper flight intoChicago, you could fly from Mesa to
Rockford an Allegiant Air and you'd beright there. Yeah, a non stop

(33:05):
direct flight Arizona. Yep, MaceArizona on a Legion Ara take you to
Rockford. I know who has thatinformation? Just swimming around in there,
I've I've flown on many Allegion Airflights out of Masa. I check the
I check the big board there andsee what's going on. You know,
Rockford, Illinois, Grand Island,Nebraska, Bismarck, North Dakota, Eugene,

(33:30):
Oregon. Yeah, okay, it'show big? How big is Rockford
like if you were to compare itto like an Arizona city. When I
look on the map, I firstof all didn't know where it was,
so I had to google it.And I have spent time in that part
of the world because my ex isfrom there, So I actually have spent

(33:51):
lots of time in that area visitinghis family, and it's it's beautiful.
I'm not the biggest fan of theweather, but so I don't know anything
about that city. I've never beenthere. I'd say, uh, can
compare it to a population base outwest, I'd say, uh, Rockford,
it's it's it's smaller than Tucson maybemaybe like between two Soon and El

(34:16):
Paso maybe as far as population Okay, similar, yeah, okay out an
hour about an hour west of Chicago. So you can fly to Chicago and
drive to Rockford if you want,or you can fly to Rockford and drive
to Chicago, or it's your it'syour call. We have, uh,

(34:36):
we have some season ticket members thatjust moved. U moved to Tucson from
from Rockford. I always want toalways want to say Bill and Emily,
but it's always it's not Emily, just Bill and his wife moved it.
I have I have other friends fromfrom Omaha, Nebraska named Bill and Emily,
but this is not this is notthem. It's Bill and I always

(34:57):
forget our name. Well, andthen let me ask you this about offered.
Since it's not straight on the lakelike Chicago, is is the weather
a little bit more temperate or isit really cold winters and really humid summers?
Yeah, it's all the same,Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah,
So I mean we could add doyou want to do uh six days

(35:20):
in Rockford, Henderson, Palm Springsor Calgary? I mean JSD added San
Diego to the mix. How's thatthat's going to be the last our last
ever memory JSD in the desert? Is he heads off to Europe? Is
him taking an answer it that's notone of our multiple choices on a multiple

(35:43):
choice test. That is the mostjs D thing ever. And I love
that. I love that. Wherein Europe is he had to do?
We know? Has that come out? It's a continent, Kim, It's
one of the seven continents. Thankyou. Yeah, I don't no,
I didn't didn't catch it. Ijust I didn't either. Nice offer out

(36:06):
in Europe and the coyotes. Coyotessaid, that's a great offer. You're
a great guy. We'll let yougo from from your contract. I appreciate
the knowledge that you've shared with methough. That's great. Thank you.
All right, let's see if thisarticle has it. I feel like the
I feel like the location question itneeds to be a caveat. It's like,

(36:30):
here's a tweet from Elliott Freedman. You were giving me crap about saying
Europe one of the Seven Continents,Elliott Freedman says he said it to play
overseas. That could be anywhere anywhere. That's that's even more broad than one
of the Seven Continents. He couldbe going to Japan for all we know
at this point. It could beuh yeah, I think I think it's
just uh just uh just Europe.Somewhere somewhere in Europe. You're gonna have

(36:54):
to go to another podcast to figureout exactly where. Kim. When we
when we talk about Tucson and HunterDrew coming to Tucson, did you notice
that I said, we don't havea marine layer here, Like, yeah,
that marine layer in southern California. That'll get you, like when the
sun doesn't come out till one twoin the afternoon. Yea, yeah.
I lived in San Diego, soI I know, and I actually really

(37:16):
do miss the weather there. Itwas so nice, But I do not
miss the traffic and the just justthis sheer volume of people trying to live
in one small area all together. And then they also had this summer,
the hurricane come through and an earthquakelike all at the same time kind of
thing. So was it? Imean, I hate I don't want to

(37:38):
I mean we follow the science, yes, but was was that really a
hurricane? No? No, no, no. Palm Springs had some standing
water. I saw that it sawsome familiar sights and in Palm Springs that
did we overblow that a little bita hurricane? At hey? Didn't?
I mean, this is this, this is you know, this is how

(38:00):
you know that that that the hurricanethat that went through southern California last week
was you know, it was justokay. You had the two guys in
the studio at the Weather Channel justbantering back and forth. There was nobody
out getting soaked. Oh and thenand then and then, and then they

(38:21):
went to break. They came backwith our local forecast, which you're never
getting a local forecast during a hurricane. And then they started zeroing in trying
to find some more hurricanes in theusual areas in the Gulf of Mexico during
the during the hurricane special for Californialike that's but I will say for San
Diego, like they got weather. You normally don't get weather in San Diego.

(38:43):
It's very very kind of doing alwaysdoing the same thing. It's really
nice that you know, you canessentially have one wardrobe that you wear all
years. I am in a pushback, Kim. I am in a pushback.
Okay, what do you get?You get the Marine Layer and you
get a lot of fifties and sixties. Oh yeah, that's fantastic of that.

(39:04):
It bites at you like you hearFinest city in America and the Marine
Layer till one two in the afternoon, and there's a lot of fifties and
sixties. I'm a big fan ofthat. I like, I swear you
go there in junior like all, this is the June gloom. Well,
it's the January gloom, it's theFebruary gloom, it's the March gloom,

(39:25):
and it's the April gloom. Butthey don't tell you about that. Well,
let's see. And I've lived upin Pacific Northwest also where the sun
doesn't come up until like nine amsometimes, you know, like part of
the year, like part of theyear, it's just dark for really long
periods of time. So in comparison, that's it's nothing compared to Tucson.

(39:46):
But it's not sixty days of sunshine, Kim. And that's what I'm here
for. That is correct. Imust start calling you three hundred and sixty
Days of Sunshine, So you should. I think that's I think that's a
great nickname. Did you ever watchon Turn think you'd be a good good
Roadrunner? Because as I said duringthe interview, I'll look at guys like,
yeah, that'd be a good Roadrunner. I bet John's over there in

(40:07):
the GM suite looking up his contractstatus. No I don't, I don't.
I look when the before the gamestarts, I look to see who's
friends with other people on the otherteams, and like I watched to see
how they interact with with the Roadrunners, and that's such that's so insightful.
Before you know, when they're doingthe warm up, you can kind of

(40:30):
see more of their personalities a littlebit than you would typically during a game.
There are definitely guys that have beenin the box sitting next to me
where I'm like, this person wouldnot be good on this team. But
those guys aren't visiting, you know, guys like Hunter Drew aren't typically visiting
you know, the penalty box toomuch. I am going back after this
and I'm gonna go see if Ican find the shots of Michael Bunting stretching

(40:52):
on the center ice and hunt forfiring pucks at him. I'm gonna I
think it was March March twentieth,March twenty first, twenty twenty one.
I think I'm gonna go go findthose. Yeah, I do, see
if I can narrow him down.Well, it sounds like he's already got
got a roommate, buddy, MattVilalta, another new new coyote on the

(41:15):
two way deal. Sounds like they'vethey've gotten some help from hunters aunts husband.
Now Hunter's girlfriend's aunt's husband. Thereyou go. Yeah, he's a
real estate agent here here in theop. Yeah, that's such a good
I think that's such if you don'tknow, if you don't know too many
people in Tucson are on the teamand you're not sure where to live.

(41:37):
And I've done this before, I'veactually rented apartments. I don't know if
you have Adrian. Before you actuallyarrive in a city for the first time,
you just rent an apartment and kindof hope it all works out.
And I don't know how many ofthe guys do that, But having a
real estate agent that you can callon and be like, hey, what
about this neighborhood, or like youprobably don't even get shown, you know,
the neighborhoods that don't make sense. You know, like if he wants

(41:59):
to play off and it makes sensefor him to be out near Tucson National,
then that's perfect. That's what he'sseen. Or if he wants to
be downtown, then those are thelistenings that he's getting and nothing, and
you know, nothing that wouldn't makehim happy. So I can tell you,
Kim, Yeah, summer at twentyeighteen, right five years ago this
month, I came came to southernArizona. As we got into the spring

(42:27):
of twenty eighteen, I really thoughtthere was a solid possibility that this was
going to happen, right okay,And so I started started looking at at
real estate, and you get yourheart set on a place and you're still
in the process, and the placegoes and then another couple of places go

(42:49):
up. But then and so theperfect place went on sale the monday before
I came to Tucson to close thedeal. Here with the Cavities and the
road runners, huh. And soI'm talking to the realtor and I'm like,
all right, Pam, I thinkI'm a pretty smart guy here.
I know, what I want.I know what I like. Tell me

(43:12):
if I am way way off here, because this is what I want and
this is what I'm looking at.She says, wait, and let me
ask you, so have you everbeen here but you had been here before
you knew Tucson or no, no, no, I was only as a
kid, And so I'm staying.I'm staying to Pam, like, Pam,
tell me if I'm wrong here, but I think this is what I
want. She's like, oh,no, you're looking at one of the

(43:34):
nicest areas in Tucson. I said, well, thank you, thank you,
Pam. I I thought so.I just appreciate your reassurance. Nice
and our our next co host hereon the Insider podcast is doing the same
thing in Tucson this past weekend. We're gonna get him on before he arrives
to talk about it. Jonathan Shaeferwas was in the op sampling everything there

(43:59):
is and uh looking for a placeto live, and I think he uh,
I think he found one, butI was more than happy to uh
to give my input. Did youpull him out to your side of town?
That's one of the options. Oneof the options. Yeah, Well,
one of the options is and Iwas I was very I was very
fair and balanced. Gave my inputon the downtown options, the down by

(44:22):
Reed Park, zoo over there bythe by the ballfield and stuff, and
yeah and uh yeah he's down touh one in midtown and one on the
kind of eastish side there kind ofby me. Okay, all right,
fingers cross, we'll see what happens. I have a I have a story
for you though, about moving withoutseeing Yeah a place, just real quick,

(44:45):
that's and that's what happens, Kim. Like these guys, you know,
you get a sign from the coyotes, you got you gotta fight a
place to live, and and theygravitate to where the guys go and and
where other teammates have lived and wherethe road Runners have lived, and it's
just kind of kind how it goes, right, which yeah, yeah,
might be the case. Might bethe case with Jonathan. Well we'll have

(45:05):
to uh, we'll have to waitand see for the final verdicts, and
then we'll get him on Kim andhe can tell us about all of the
local places he went to eat whilehe was in Tucson. The last five
did you did you take him places? Or did he figure things out on
his own. He had all theplaces that he wanted to go. I
was I was not in town unfortunately. Oh that's right. Okay, yeah,

(45:27):
I was not in town. Butbut he got got a sampling,
saw saw the campus, saw thesoccer game on Thursday night, had a
great steak, had some great Mexicanfood, and uh and back back in
California, wrapping things up there. All right, Okay, I can't wait
to talk to him. You're movingstory from Kim Oh so I had.

(45:53):
I moved from Tucson to DC intwo thousand and seven and literally had like
two weeks to get out of hereand to find a place. So I
found a place online and said I'lltake it. And the person that I
was renting from was actually moving overseas, so I had very limited communication with
him because he was also in transit. So I got to my place in

(46:16):
DC and it was gorgeous and beautifuland all the pictures were wonderful. But
he didn't tell me that it wasa brand new building and that I would
be the only person living on thattenth floor for a while for about six
months, and it is a hugeapartment building, and being a single woman

(46:37):
living all by yourself on one floorof the building. There was maybe like
twenty other people in the entire building, and it was like twenty story building.
It was very very the shining attimes, Like there were times when
I was very fast walking to theelevator or to get to my apartment.
And then I finally got some neighborsthat moved in and they had a little
bulldog, like three or four doorsdown, and I was so happy to

(47:00):
see them because the bulldog it wasonly us, so he kind of had
the run of the hallway and hewas fantastic. It's kind of how I
fill up with the condo in Tucsonin the summer, Like because you're all
by yourself, I'll be out onmy balcony chilling, not see a soul
for an entire day, like notsee a car, not see a person

(47:21):
walk by. It's uh, it'sit's very like apocalyptic zombie movies start because
because January February March, like it'slike Grand Central Station right next year,
right, yeah, So but that'suh, that's what we got Hunter Drew

(47:43):
and Matt Vilalta uh roommates and Hunter'sgirlfriend's aunt's husband. The real estate agent
in uh in Tucson. That's gonnahelp him out find uh that next uh
that next grade forever home, Kim. The thing the thing that me and

(48:04):
Jimmy used to do questions after thequestions, right, because we could never
wrap up an interview like it's justall right, and then we'd ask fifteen
more questions, right me and youfinish the interview, stop stop recording,
and then we if we just talkand then Hunter head questions for questions.

(48:24):
Yeah, yeah, so and andactually, like I was gonna ask,
do do you guys when when somebody'scoming to town for the first time as
a newbie, do you have anysort of like Tucson starter kit that you
put together for them at all?Oh? Totally yeah, Oh okay,
that's awesome. Yeah, there's there'sthe referred referred places to live and and

(48:46):
and the good thing is the wordof mouth stuff is is the best because
so and so is gonna know soand so that played for the Roadrunners and
so and so in the locker roomsin his third year with the Roadrunners,
and and kind of the hockey wordof mouth is really what really what does
it? Right? Well? Andthen Hunter is asking us a lot of

(49:07):
questions about the travel schedule and howthings look. And I can just kind
of tell by the way he's talkingthat he's thinking of how much he's going
to be at home and whether that'sgoing to impact something or somebody, right,
like a puppy, like a puppy. Yes, and he has a

(49:28):
little puppy. I think he's foundfound room and board for the puppy.
Yes, I think, well,so didn't. His puppy is going to
be with the girlfriend, his girlfriendfor a little while and she's a nurse,
and then she's going to come visit, so hopefully. But I also
offered to puppy sit if he needsto ship. I love puppies, I

(49:55):
love I love dogs. So yeah, I'm happy to help. So keep
us posted. But yeah, sowe enjoy the interview. After the interview,
just wish we didn't hear record asor end record as fast as I
do because we could drop that intosome more Mortgod stuff on on the podcast.

(50:16):
So, so Hunter Drew, thanksto him for joining us. We
had a We had a good timewith Hunter. How about Reese Fatelli coming
out of labor Day, coming inhot, gonna join us next week week
after that Kim Boyer, we organized. Me and Jimmy could never pull this
stuff off. We could never getit all on the same page. Reese
Fatali next week. Josh Done isgoing to join us the next week after

(50:39):
that. So got some got somegood stuff coming up for you on the
Insider podcast with me uh In,Kim Coda Robus before we get Jonathan Shaffer
into town to take over, andKim and I'll go go back to radio
on road Runners Happy Hour. Iam so excited for a Happy Hour.
Not that I don't love the podcast, but Brett adds such a different layer

(51:00):
too. You and I, youknow, very very technical, very very
stats driven, and like just verythe sports analysts brain. So I'm excited
and I'm like I said, I'mso excited to meet Jonathan because I haven't
met him yet. So well,it's coming up. We'll get him on.
We'll get him on the podcast inthe next next couple of weeks leading

(51:21):
up to his arrival. Kim,did you see Sunday Night with the Guys
last night with Steve Popman, Idid? I did? That was great.
He doesn't lie. Two truths anda lie, but he doesn't lie.
He went the JSD route on amultible choice question by not telling a
lie on two truths and a lie. Oh, and it's funny because I
read the caption first, which saidhe doesn't lie, and then I went

(51:43):
up and watched the video and Iwas like, oh, I like two
of them I knew were certain. So then I was like, yeah,
just waiting till the end. Andthen I was like, oh, yeah,
there's no lies here. That isso that is such a sty thing
to do. So there was therewas two truths and a line with Steve
Popman. We'll have an Arizona thisor that with UH with Steve Popman coming

(52:04):
up next week to UH wrap upsummer runners. Kim, if you played
Dusty Squares at all? Yes,but I am not good at it though
I never I never pose my answersbecause it's I'm usually wrong. There are
some people who really are very verygood at it. I've seen in the
comments. It's uh. It goesalong with the kind of immaculate grid thing

(52:25):
that that's kind of the sports versionof Whordle that that people do every every
day. And we do ours onon Friday and in the summer, Kim.
And last last week we gave everybodyeight of the nine answers. Is
what we do, right, Like, I'll pull it up right here and

(52:45):
we'll we'll do uh, We'll doit on the air and uh. And
then we'll give every single answer toto uh to Dusty squares because we only
we only share the most popular ones. All right, So you go down
one over one like a horizontal ina vertical version, all right. Drafted
by the Coyotes one hundred games playedIvan pros the top works for that.

(53:07):
Drafted by the Coyotes roadwinners captain DisonMayo, drafted by the Coyotes. Member
the twenty sixteen twenty seventeen team ConnorGarland was an answer for that played with
Ivan. Member the twenty six twentyseventeen team. Sixteen seventeen team Laurent Dufan
road winners captain played with Ivan,Michael Shappoo. All right, So we've
got the blank square and it's gotto be somebody that played one hundred plus

(53:29):
games and played with Ivan. So, Kim, do you want to want
me to give you the all theanswers here that are possible? Yes?
And I saw I saw what Ithought I saw. Somebody guess and I
thought that that seemed like the likelyanswer, So yes, go ahead.
Yep, all right, So KIMcount these answers while I read them down.
These are all the possible answers. All right, okay, Michael Bunting,

(53:52):
because we already took Dice in Mayo, Cam Deneene Lane Peterson. Okay,
we already had Hudson fashion for aRoad Winners Captain and appeared in twenty
two twenty three playoffs. Okay,so can't do Hudson camp Karate got it,
Cam Hebig Okay, Tyler Steenbergen okay, Kyle Capo Biancoo Okay. Mike

(54:22):
Carconi would have worked as usual, always the most popular answer. Brad braden
Burke already had laurent A fan uhAiden Hill would have worked. Oh noe,
we used Aiden Hill for appeared intwenty two twenty three playoffs one hundred
games played, So no Aiden. We already had Connor Garlands. Ryan McGinnis

(54:43):
never played with Ivan. Robbie Russoplayed with Ivan, so he would be
one. Jordan Gross played with Ivan, so he would be one. Travis
Baron played with Ivan. Trevor Cheekdid not play with Ivan. Ryan McGregor
did. Jeremy Grigar didn't. YanYui did, Tyler got It didn't.

(55:06):
Nick Merkley did, Victor Soderstrom did, Ben McCartney did, Flat Koyaconic did.
Boco did. And that's it.One hundred games plus played with the
road Wunners and played with Ivan. Those are your possible answers. How many?
How many of them were there?Kim got I got nineteen, so
could add nineteen answers? Our mostpopular ones, Mike Raconi, Kim Karate,

(55:28):
Travis Barron, Cameron Hebig. Sothere we go. We'll have our
final edition of Dusty Squash the Summercoming up on Friday. But that's a
little kind of little mind bender there, Kim, Yeah, that was a
good one. I yeah, Iwish I was better at this, but
I don't remember the stats. That'sall right, that's all right like that.
That's kind of our happy hour thing. You're our emotional leader. Brett.

(55:52):
Brett is outside infrastructure, right. He looks at the big picture,
and I in the weeds. Ilook at the nuts and bolts, and
uh just kind of all comes together. First edition of Roadrunners Happy Hour,
Tuesday, October three, Brett,Kim and myself our usual Tuesday night get

(56:12):
together if Brett can make it happenwith his sports editor duties. Kim,
he's the new sports editor at theDaily Star. I know, I'm so
excited for him. I imagine thathe's incredibly busy right now. We haven't
really heard too much from him viatexts this summer, so I assume he's
pretty busy. He's a busy guy. So we'll effort Brett. If not,
yeah, well we'll effort Brett.We're pretty sure he's he's he's open,

(56:35):
he's he's always there for so staffingon the air right here on the
Insider podcast, Kim, you hada couple of fun a couple of fun
hockey notes from from your social mediascrolling over the weekend, as as I
do a lot of social media scrolling. So one big story that is just

(57:00):
absolutely cracking me up is the factthat Connor McDavid showed up to a Beer
League hockey game championship and they lost. His team lost. He lost nine
to five, I think or nineto four, and everybody was like,
well, you know, he wasn'tput putting in the full effort, and
so I was like imagining the guyson the other team who didn't know that

(57:22):
Connor McDavid was going to be playingagainst them, and they walk into the
arena, they walk into the rinkand have to mentally get prepared to play
against him. But then the guyson his team who are like, Oh,
we got McDavid, We got this, and then end up losing,
probably because they, you know, put a lot of hope and faith into

(57:43):
him and he probably wasn't playing ishe's playing beer League? You know.
So that story to me is andthe video and so I'm on TikTok.
One of the TikTok's because I followa lot of hockey that came across was
the girlfriend of one of the playersand the other team, who was like
walking in to the rink to comesee her boyfriend, and she looks she's
recording it. She looks up andshe's like, oh my god, is

(58:06):
that Connor McDavid. Oh my god. And everybody that's standing at the glass
is just like furiously texting other people, you know, like, oh my
god, you guys got to getdown here. Connor McDavid is on the
ice at beer League. So thatwas a really cute little behind the scenes
of that whole thing. That's thegreat thing about hockey, Kim is I

(58:27):
don't think other sports do that,Like I don't think they have organized games
like that, Like the Minnesota there'sa there's a huge league up there.
It's called the Beauty League that abunch of pro hockey players play in during
the summer. They sell tickets, people go there. I think it's for
charity, but it's it's kind ofa fun thing. Hockey players get out
and do it. Man, Yeah, yeah, that's fantastic. And then

(58:47):
the other story that I loved, and I only saw a few little snippets
of it in places, was theMarianjosa going away game that was happening in
Slovakia. We need to ask Miloshif he had a chance to go to
this game. I'm really curious becausethis game was played by a who's who
of NHL All stars who just likewere like, yeah, I'm just gonna

(59:12):
go play to say goodbye to Marian. And it was Lidstrom, Chara Bandra,
Alfredson, Tay Satan, Marazik,Zeederberg was supposed to be there,
but I heard he was a scratchat the last minute for something Holmstrom.
There was a video that I sawthat one of the coaches took of like
panning around the locker rooms. There'stwo locker rooms and just panning and you're
like, oh my god, isthat is that Nicholas Lidstrom? Oh my

(59:35):
god? Is that Satan? Like? Your brain? My brain? When
I watched that video was racing.I was like, what is happening here?
And then I only found out becausehe just posted the video with very
little information, found out like acouple of hours later what it was and
was absolutely just blown away. Iwas like, what is going on here?
So yeah, I don't if anybodyhas seen has more videos of that,
I would love to see that stuff, send it to me on my

(59:57):
Insta. That's in saying yeah, that's that's that's awesome. Yeah. Can
you imagine like if like you weresaying, like going back to other sports,
you don't really hear guys about guysgetting together to do a farewell game,
you know, to to one oftheir colleagues and just like throwing together
a game, let's go play.Yeah, so uh yeah, good good

(01:00:19):
job out of you. Kim pullingup those two items from from social that
I didn't didn't quite see you know, you know, I got time.
You know I love the social Yeah, I have, You're great at the
social desk over there, I have. I have decided that my new favorite
off season Instagram trend is watching NHLweddings and then the receptions where the players

(01:00:45):
go bananas and dance with each other. I don't know if you say any
of this also, but the weddingshave you know, consistently been happen happening,
But this summer, I notice wegot a lot more videos of guys
just having a great time dancing witheach other in the center of a circle
and just just releasing everything during thesewedding receptions. Fantastic. Hey, speaking

(01:01:10):
of getting all dressed up, Kim, Ye, all right, so I
have a lot of clothes, Okay, right, I have a lot of
dress clothes, a lot of suits, a lot of jackets, a lot
of slacks. So last time I'vedone dry cleaning December twenty twenty one.
Okay, time year and a halfago, did not do dry cleaning this

(01:01:35):
entire season. Didn't need to gotso many dress shirts, suits, slacks.
But to this point, Kim,everything's trashed. Everything needs to go
to the dry cleaners. Okay, okay, you better hurry up. So
well, not so fast, Kim, not so fast. So last Sunday,

(01:01:57):
have have a little bit of timeon my lazy Sunday, and I
realize, right there's ten pair ofpants that aren't in style anymore. These
are going to be donated, butall these suits need to need to be
taken to the dry cleaners, andthese dress shirts and these slacks. So

(01:02:19):
put everything in the back of mycar and was gonna drop them off Monday,
never made it, space it Tuesday, didn't even think about it.
Wednesday, drove by the dry cleanersand it's like now it's not a good
time, and and flew out oftown Wednesday night. Well, Kim.

(01:02:43):
On Wednesday night, at three fortyam on Thursday morning, my dry cleaners
caught on fire, the Sparkle onStone and Drachman, where literally every piece
of game, where every suit, every dress shirt, every set of slacks,

(01:03:08):
everything that I have would have beenthat the Sparkle Cleaners on Stone and
Draftman at three forty one am onThursday night, when a fire was reported.
Oh my god, holy cow,you are so lucky, unless you
really wanted to go shopping again forall new suits. No, no,

(01:03:29):
I didn't even I don't even wantto be reimbursed. I just I've got
the stuff. It's a big enoughof a hassle to go get sized to
pick it up to bring it home. Thank goodness, I did not enter
into this sentence. Customers who lostitems will be contacted and reimbursed. And
unnamed employees said do they know whathappened? Because I lived off of Stone,

(01:03:53):
I mean not up that way.But I didn't hear about this at
all. It was like an electricalfire or something. Oh wow, smokes,
holy smoke. Skim is right? How about that for a close call?
That is an incredibly it's my drycleaner's caught on fire, and literally

(01:04:15):
everything I have would have been there. Right, there is another sparkle between
you and Oh they're all they're they'reliterally all over the place. That's just
the closest one to the office.Yeah, gotcha, Okay. I was
like, there's other places they're stillopen and stuff. Yeah, are your
suit still in the car? Ohyeah, yeah yeah. Are you afraid
now take that? No? No, no, I'll take him to the

(01:04:39):
sparkle on Draftman and Stone Business Operationsoh, they're open remaining unaffected. Yeah,
oh okay, so thanks to illChief Chuck Ryan sent over the crew
and they extinguished the fire. Yeah, but I mean, you don't know,
you don't You never know like whatit's going to affect. So I'm
glad to hear that it that they'reup and running. I just drove by

(01:05:01):
there like a couple of days ago, and I didn't even notice. That's
bananas. But how is serendipitous thatyou happened to not be able to either
think of dropping them off or havetime to drop them off before them Yeah,
